LEO PSYCHED HIMSELF UP… goggles from his tool belt
"What kind of make out sesh is this going to turn out into?" Apollo laughed lightly.
"The kind which is a make out sesh but without the making out part of it." Leo answered and everybody laughed.
The goggles weren't exactly sunglasses…oil to grease back his hair
"Oh what I wouldn't give to see that." Percy laughed.
"What would you give?" Leo asked mischievously.
"We doing business here?" Percy raised an eyebrow to show that he was interested.
"Depends on what you're willing to give." Leo smirked. Hermes and his kids chuckled, loving the way this was progressing.
"The coupon." Percy told him knowingly.
Leo exhaled. "That's an expensive price." He reminded. Percy nodded with a smirk. Everybody else just stared at the duo. Only the Hermes kids, Annabeth, Katie and Grover understood.
"Is this something we should be concerned about?" Poseidon asked with a raised eyebrow.
"If you want repercussions." Percy said dramatically. Poseidon's eyebrows shot upto his hairline and he held his hands up in surrender.
"What sort of cult-" Hades started.
"The first rule is that we don't talk about it. The second rule is that we don't talk about it." Percy told him.
"Now you're just quoting Fight Club." Ares complained.
"Am I though? Or did Fight Club quote me?" Percy wagged his eyebrows.
"Bitch, you weren't even born then-" Poseidon said randomly. Percy looked at his father and burst out laughing at Poseidon's statement.
"Like father like son." Grover laughed.
He stuck a wrench…with a skull and crossbones
"Now we're talking." Nico snickered while everybody else laughed lightly as well. Leo and Hazel were the ones laughing the hardest, remembering the exact vibe.
"I'm definitely ready to pay the coupon to see this." Percy wheezed.
"We have a deal on our hands." Leo grinned. Percy whooped.
What in the world…She sounded pretty flustered.
Hazel turned red and Frank raised an amused eyebrow.
"Do I have to do that now?" he asked, almost worried.
"Oh no. Don't." Hazel shook her head.
"Yeah. Only I can pull that off." Leo nodded. Frank glared at him but there was no heat behind it.
I try not to think…"Narcissus is weak!" "Weak!"
Everybody had burst out laughing by then and a couple of the demigods and younger gods were rolling on the floor.
"That is genius!" Connor choked out.
"It is actually a pretty good plan." Ares told Leo once he recovered from his laughing fit.
"I know." Leo said with a dramatic hair flip.
"The weirdest shit always works, doesn't it?" Piper chuckled. Percy, Annabeth, Grover and Leo nodded in agreement.
The crowd of nymphs scattered…"You're lame," said another
"That's a good comeback." Triton said sarcastically.
"Amateurs." Percy shook his head, making everybody snicker.
"I see what you're doing. You get the nymphs distracted and shoot insults at Narcissus and he's going to be distracted. It gives you the perfect amount of time to obtain the celestial bronze." Aphrodite nodded approvingly at Leo.
"Its not bad." Hera told Leo who looked taken aback but he nodded with a small smile.
Leo adjusted his goggles and smiled…with a horse butt for a face."
Everybody muffled their snickers and turned to look at Chiron for his reaction. Leo froze and his eyes went wide as he looked at his mentor but even Chiron was chuckling.
"That was good." He said to Leo and the son of Hephaestus sighed in relief.
Some of the nymphs gasped…but he can't find one!"
"You're on fire." Beckendorf grinned at Leo. "Pun intended." He added. Leo grinned at his brother and bowed dramatically.
One of the nymphs laughed…"I'm the Super-sized McShizzle, man!" Leo said
Everybody laughed but then cheered and hooted.
"Smash or pass?" Leo asked with a wicked grin.
"Smash." Everybody echoed and then burst out laughing
"I'm Leo Valdez, bad boy…no one ever checks it out."
"He's on firee!" The younger gods and demigods hooted.
"Oh hell yea." Leo smirked.
"All hail the bad boy supreme!" Percy cried out dramatically. Cries of 'hail' ran around the room.
Narcissus knit his handsome…Oh wait, you already did that."
"Holy shitt!" Percy laughed.
"Even ice could not help that burn!" Will grinned.
"And its come from the doctor!" Leo whooped.
Another nymph giggled…"Team Leo for the win!" Echo shouted
"Team Leo for the win!" Everybody yelled and hooted. There were a couple of wolf whistles as well.
"You got to get t-shirts made, man." Jason told Leo with a grin and the son of Hephaestus grinned back.
"That is a brilliant idea, my guy." Leo told him.
She'd wriggled into the mob…even the Underworld didn't want him.
"That is true." Hades agreed solemnly
"You're stating facts." Persephone told Leo with a nod.
He couldn't get the ghost…Give me back to me!"
"Dude! Just look into the water. You'd get some amount of reflection and your head's big enough to love that too!" Percy rolled his eyes.
"Nah. The water would get polluted just by his reflection." Poseidon sighed. Percy looked at him in amazement and pride and the two high fived.
"Team Leo!" one of the nymphs…after I kiss my reflection!"
"See! We don't want that in the water, now do we?" Poseidon said.
"Facts." Triton gagged.
"Oh my gods!" the nymphs screamed.
Ares, Hermes, Dionysus and Apollo looked at each other and matching smirks found their way onto their faces.
"Oh my us!" They screamed in unison in the highest crazed Narcissus-obsessed fangirl voice. Everybody roared with laughter after that and Artemis chuckled as she saw her four crazy brothers finally get along like before again. Maybe…the gang would be back together again. She wouldn't admit it but she missed the insane adventures the five of them would have together.
"And kill those demigods…it broke into splinters.
The Apollo gang, Artemis and Thalia looked amused and traumatized at the same time.
"Old is celestial bronze." Percy nodded, making most of the people snort in amusement. Man, the quips this demigod had would never cease to amuse them and when directed towards them, piss them off.
"Ow!" he yelled very attractively. "My manicure"
"First time I've heard of somebody yelling something attractively." Piper sniggered.
"Dumbledore said calmly." Nico raised his eyebrows in sheer amusement.
"DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE?!" Pollux yelled dramatically, worthy for a son of the god of theatre.
"It was actually like that, not going to lie." Hazel snickered.
"The thing about such incidents is that they seem terrifying at that time but eventually they do become something you can laugh about, huh?" Lee chuckled. The demigods nodded with smiles on their faces.
"Some of them. Honestly, sometimes we wish that we could be normal kids but then when you think about it...well, I would be lying if I would say that I wouldn't miss this life at all." Percy sighed.
"Yeah, you eventually realize that despite all the problems you face, they all seem okay at the end when you do them together. What matters is the friends and family you make on the way." Annabeth smiled softly as she give a light kiss to Percy and slung her arms around Grover and Thalia.
The gods stared at their children. Fates only knew how they managed to make the best of everything and despite everything still not give up or hate everything demigod related.
Normally nymphs were quick…she meant to personally shield him
"She's amazing." Rachel said with a smile. Leo nodded as a lump formed in his throat. He knew that he would be going back to check on Echo. He loved Calypso but he wasn't going to let Echo chase behind somebody who would never love anybody else but himself. She deserved better. Aphrodite voiced out Leo's feeling as well.
"She deserves much better than Narcissus." She said sadly. Leo felt a bubble of hope that Aphrodite could do something for Echo because who better could find somebody who would love Echo and she would love them back than the goddess of love herself.
"Maybe you could help?" Leo asked hopefully. Aphrodite smiled at Leo and nodded.
"I'll ask Eros to look into it, for sure. You have my word." She told him. Hephaestus clapped Leo on the shoulder with a smile. He knew that Leo had not had anybody who had stood up for him that way and there was a different type of admiration that Leo had for Echo as he felt his son's emotion in him, courtesy of the curse. Hephaestus gave Aphrodite a grateful smile and Aphrodite's heart jumped a little. She had forgotten how beautiful Hephaestus looked when he smiled.
Ares sighed as he saw Aphrodite's reaction. He knew her well enough by then to know that she loved Hephaestus. Maybe he had hoped that over time, she would feel the same way about him and that he would feel the same way about her and maybe he did before. But ever since the reading had started to make an impact, he had begun to realize that maybe both of them we meant to be with other people after all.
"Echo?" Leo could hardly talk…We all love me, don't we?"
"She really does deserve better. She deserves somebody who loves her back. Everybody deserves better than Narcissus." Dakota sighed.
"Even the nymphs are wasting their lives chasing after a man who only loves himself. There's a reason why the word Narcissistic was derived from Narcissus and why it means what it does." Michael nodded in agreement.
"Yes!" the girls screamed…Team Leo!"
There were some light chuckles at that.
"You turned her, Leo." Percy grinned at Leo and Leo grinned proudly.
"Kill them!" Narcissus ordered…(though very handsome) moron.
Everybody sighed sadly. Annabeth grasped Percy's hand and Percy squeezed her hand reassuringly while the rest of the couples in the room did the same. Sometimes it just really hit them how lucky they were to have each other.
Leo wanted to protest…the sheet of bronze like a shield.
The rest of the seven looked horrified.
"Leo…once again, we're so sorry." Percy told him but Leo smiled genuinely at Percy this time.
"Nah man, you guys already apologized. What happened happened. Its all good now." Leo said and the rest of the seven smiled happily at him.
He was determined never…her smile was already fading
"You have to remove her curse." Percy told Hera.
"There's a reason why that curse was put into place." Hera answered.
"Then there will be a reason why I'm going to stop holding myself back from doing or saying anything to you." Percy said, giving Hera a glimpse of his wolf stare. Hera grimaced but said nothing.
"You have to remove the curse and properly this time. Not like Calypso." Percy pressed. Everybody stared at him in awe and wonder. There were not many who not only stood up to Hera but made sure his point was made very clear to her and win as Hera slowly shook her head.
"Poseidon…your son is something else." Hades muttered to his brother.
"So is yours brother. He looks about ready to jump in and fight." Poseidon smiled. Hades looked at Nico and nodded proudly.
"Chapter's done, by the way." Ares said.
"It live upto your expectations of crack shit?" Hermes grinned.
"Oh hell yeah."
"I'll read." Aphrodite said.
