Then with that Junko pressed the button in her hands and with it, the great device whirred to life Makoto's breath picked up as his heart accelerated from fear he didn't truly understand what would happen sure Junko said she would be "projecting her essence" but he didn't know how it would happen or if it was even possible.

"Is this the end?"
He thought as the device got louder and louder one of the last things he could hear was Junko's uproarious laughter but it to sounded faint over the sound of the device as it started and Makoto felt a great pain in his head as his body began to glow he wanted to ask what was happening but when he looked towards Junko all he saw was that she was also glowing, the last thing he remembered doing before he blacked out was scream.

Makoto woke up with a start… he didn't know how much time had passed but when he looked around Junko was gone, vanished without a trace part of him wondered if it was all just a bad dream

He tries to get up only to just fall back down. "Owww!"
He struggled to get up.
In fact, he had trouble just bending his figures. Which was odd. "Junko, what was that?" He asked the air and turned his head to the side. He noted there was a small amount of weight shifting when turned his head.
His body didn't seem to be listening to him.

"Upu upupu.."
Makoto at that moment felt shocked. That laugh could only belong to a certain black and white bear.

"Monokuma, what did Junko do?"

"Upu? What a Beary interesting situation you are in "

"I'm panicking and you're making puns, screw you!"

But then Makoto realized something very wrong with the situation, after all, Junko didn't control monokuma manually?

"wait! how are you moving if Junko's gone?

At that, the bear simply just laughed his signature laugh

"upupupup a good question but I think a better question you should be asking yourself is what has become of you"

This confused Makoto but deep down he knew all too well what monokuma was implying
"what?"

"Hmm, well, you're out of luck lucky boyyy, upupup
So what do you think?"
A voice he didn't know the origin of said.
It sounded like Junko, he thought to himself.

"Of course it's me! Who else would have such a wonderful voice?

"W-wha?"

He tried to look around seeing not a single soul with him in the room.
How did she know what I was thinking?
Does her talent actually allow her to read minds?

"No stupid, do I need to explain it to you"
Again Junko's voice.

"Where are you?"
Makoto asked, still looking around.
Glancing at the reflection of the glass, more confusion and questions appeared in his head.
That is not what his reflection is supposed to look like.

He looked in pure shock as he saw his own reflection… well he didn't know if he should say that anymore. As he looked himself in the mirror noticing the alarming changes that covered his face. The first thing he noticed when he looked at the top of his head was his ahoge, it was remarkably the same… or at least he was inclined to believe but looking just a bit to the right of it he saw a smaller red ahoge has now accompanied it, it wouldn't be such a big deal but with their distance from each other along with how they both pointed towards the back it eerily gave the look of demonic horns, course the rest of his hair was drastically different from the roots all the way towards the beginning of his ears his hair was red, blood red. But after that, it goes to his normal hair or that's what he would say but he noticed instead of the chestnut brown hair he was used to it was more of a dirty blond being browner at the top before draining to a familiar yellow at his tips, speaking of, that was something he noted too his hair was much longer, now it wasn't insanely long but it was still a change from his original style as it now reached down to his neck, but of course it wasn't just plain down it was rounded into a low ponytail by a hair tie, an all too familiar one but also odd as it seemed he was not the only one that fused for it seems Junko's black and white bear scrunchies fused into a singular monokuma hair tie. Makoto had half a mind to yank it off his head, but his hands wouldn't seem to follow through with said action. But of course, he went over all that because he was ignoring the most blatant detail… his eyes, his right one seemed the same though he must admit it while he would consider them a hazel at best they now appeared to be a vibrant green like a polished emerald gemstone, but his left eye… was red, ruby red.
The color of despair
He couldn't believe this was real it felt like a nightmare

"oh, no this is all very real"
he heard in his mind, his heart accelerated
but from fear or excitement?
when he heard Junko's district voice in his head he realized exactly what happened his lips twitched at odds fighting for if it should smile or frown
"Oh no oh no oh no oh no,"
"oh yes oh yes oh yes oh yes!"
"Oh god!"
"oh god!"
"Oh god!"
"Oh god!"
His thoughts
our thoughts
were switching back and forth between fear and excitement

"Do you like it?
It's both of us together."

With her statement, Makoto fiddled with the end of his-her-their hair.
Looking over himself he tried getting up again. Unlike his earlier attempts, he was having little trouble moving. His waist was thinner. Chest was larger. He was taller: five-foot-ten to be precise.

"What have you done to us?"

"Sheesh you ask too many questions it's pretty annoying you know."

"Well I'm sorry that you fused into my body and now I'm stuck with the ultimate despair"
Makoto said, panicking.

"Makoto, there is no, I, my, me, myself, anymore. We are one. Do you get that?"
Junko said, her voice echoing menacingly inside of Makoto's mind

"Why? Why would you do this!? What did anyone do to you?"
The young man said, grabbing onto the side of his head feeling the vast difference of his new hair.

"Haven't I told you already? You can't even just remember a single detail. Honestly, you're the worst!"

"No, that's wrong! you're the one who caused all this if bad things happen it's because you made it possible! you could have stopped yourself at any moment, but you chose to ruin everyone's lives! But I won't lose to you! Whatever you plan to do with my body, I'll stop you! I won't let anything bad happen!"
Makoto spoke out enraged by Junko's words, he wasn't a hateful man, before this, he couldn't name one person he thought ill will of, but Junko always knew what to say to set him off, but he wouldn't let her win he would not let her get to him he had to press on for all that was lost and all that could be found. For his friends, he could never give up hope.

"Well, that just makes this even better."
Junko stated and while she was just a voice in his head he could perfectly envision the smile on her face when she said that

"I knew you would say something about this hope that eventually will save you and it's absolutely disgusting."
She continued

"I'm disgusting?! you're the one who put yourself in m-"
He said before his lips shut, not allowing him to finish his sentence.

"Makoto. We really need to talk about the m-word
Such foul language~ do we need to make a swear jar?"

"Anyway, It wouldn't be good for us if you keep on fighting, after all now only half of you is disgusting."

"And Why exactly should I do what you say?"

"Come on now Makoto in our current situation I'm all you have.
Do you really think your friends won't abandon you? Do you?

"You're wrong! They would never do that to me."

"Didn't they just do that though? It hasn't even been a day since the trial. Have you forgotten already?

"Shut up!"
Makoto wanted to cover his ears but it was meaningless Junko was inside of him.

"Ooouuu feisty. You know I really love that about you Makoto"

"Shut up! You don't love anyone but yourself!"

"…"

At that, she went deadly silent.
