Palila Pov

I can't still believe how this kid has make it out so long. Normally the illnesses yous takes like four days to kill his victim. This little one here has lasted one whole week without proper care. That's why i do have to admit that this little one will is a big one indeed. Sadly theirs no cure for it and she should go explain to his brother's about it. But she can't do that not to some kids. And mostly i yous can let a kid die! And less a brother it would be like reliving everything again and this time it would be her fault. So the only way to go is using her secret to save the kid.

"I can cure him" i declare to the brothers that i could save their brother. " Okay, i am going to trust you but...if this turns out to be a lie your consider yourself dead" The freckled kid said as his eyes glowed with a burning passion "It's that so? I am not going to die... trust me i never lie" i smirked as he glared at me.

This brats are totally out of the ordinary.

After what seemed like a eternity for Luffy he was now fully recovered from his illness. The brothers gave their thanks to the nice woman that helped them out. After some more care advice from her, Luffy stomach grumble hungry for some meat.

"To much words let's eat meat!!!" Luffy exclaimed excited " Palila would you like to eat with us?" Ace suggested and Palila accepted with a quick nod.

Soon after that day Palila presence on the three kid's life was more frequent. And that let Palila take notice of some things

"So you three have been living out here without real adults supervision?" She asked them really not seeing this as something thay should be happening at all "And you care why?" Ace responded without really understanding " You know what? i don't know why i am asking on the first place," she answered as she took some air to say " Because i am yous gonna do what i want and that is-"

Yeah Ace was totally not fine with this at all. Sabo was still a little uncomfortable with the whole situation...and little Luffy was...

" Nice Lady you're back!!! " He exclaimed excited.

Yeah Luffy was excited of having a nice lady with them.

After some day's the whole Asl brother's got use to the idea that the woman they meet is not going anywhere soon...

"Why you let her come Bo?"Ace wanned to know why Palila was coming with them hunting "She was really insistent on coming" Sabo answer and Ace scowl at that "She's always like that! I am not a baby like Luffy that needs supervision! " Ace said angry at the fact that he has to be supervised as if he was a crybaby like his little brother " You know maybe is not that bad she is coming" Sabo said to him with a soft smile "But why?" Ace said curiously to where his brother was trying to get at "Well maybe by coming with us she can finally see how independent and strong we truly are" Said smirked and Ace smiled decided to prove Palila that they were trust worthy.

Some few minutes later they finally arrived to their destiny! The river were they would begun their hunt-

"Crocodile MEEEAT!!!" Luffy jumped towards the river without caring about his brothers screams. They were getting prepared to jump towards Luffy's rescue, but before they could even prepare their self's to do it Palila jumped and catch him on mid aire.They fell on the river and got the attention of the crocodiles. But before they could tried to eat them up, Palila looked directly towards the animals eyes and something happened because soon after that they were running away in fear "So coooool is almost like what Shanks did!!" Luffy exclaimed "Don't scare me like that again little one" both of got out of the water as Palila was searching Luffy up to see if he got hurt.

"She is indeed reliable" Sabo said impressed "Oh yeah? But i am more!" Ace said with determination.

As the day went on Palila saved the boys from a gigantic caterpillar, a bear and a serpent. She even knew about poisonous mushrooms. Ace tried to do everything before her but she always was faster, stronger, wiser. Ace was frustrated by this, he was used to be the one that was the faster and strongest. Wiser? No. That was Sabo work. But now is like they don't have to be the fastest, strongest our wiser anymore. And Ace fell without purpose, he was the older brother the one that has to protect their brothers. But it looks like that place is being done way better by someone else that's not him.

Late at night he went out alone to a cave to think about everything while his brother's were eating up what Palila made.

" You're kids really eat more than adults right?" she chuckled the boy's yous blushed."You now what you guy's think about some bedtime stories about my own travels?" she smirked and soon Luffy was bouncing around happily " Ace doesn't this sounds fun?" Luffy said to Ace? " Eh? and Ace?" he wander " Sabo!!!! Ace is not here!!!

Pov Ace

Since i can remember the only one i could ever depend on was myself until Sabo and Luffy came around. And even with them around, i was the older one the one that should keep them safe of all types of danger's even if it costs me my own life.

But now i am not the older one anymore! And she does everything way better than me! She keeps them safe better and makes me doubt if they even need me anymore to protect them...

Fuck who I think i am fooling!!!!

The one that truly needs someone is him, someone to protect him from himself. From the devil he is! He needs hia brothers yous as much they nee-

Would they be better without me?

"And if i am around your not sad anymore?"

- " If Roger had a kid? Hahaha it would be a problem if someone like that existed! " -

- "He wouldn't be allowed to be born our live! He's a demon!"

"You want me to live?"

"OF COURSE!!!"

Yes they do need me! Luffy hates being alone and if me yous being there makes him happy then i am needed!!!

But still I don't know if anyone else could accept me like them...

"Ace is everything okay" i turned around and saw her out of the cave i was in " Do you need to talk?" she asked as i turned away "Why do you even care?!" he said angry but his voice came out as a whisper " You know those too really are a handful" she started " I am amazed you can keep them safe-"

"Of course i can! is my responsibility as the oldest!" Ace said determinated "But that doesn't take the fact that you're still a kid looking after your kid brothers no?" she said as she raise her eyebrow " And what if i do? is not as i ever had and option. Is yous the three of us and i have to be their for them if none else is! " Palila huged him " But is it really yous you tree anymore?" she said with a smile on her face as Ace was frozen from the sudden action " What do you say if we go back together to the three house for some bedtime stories? " he lifted Ace up on her arms " Yous the four of us" she started and Ace finished "Together".
