After almost tearing themselves on prince's books the three brothers finally realized something-
"Why do you two want it anyway?"
"To read it obviously bo!!!"
"That's the thing! Do you even know how to read?!"
"Of course i-" Ace stopped at mid sentence when he finally realized...
He doesn't.
And how to blame him? He grew up with bandits in the middle of a forest.
It's a miracle he even knows how to talk.
"What's all the screaming about?" Palila asked as she came by with a plate of cookies "Ace doesn't know how to read" Luffy said bluntly and Ace gave him a stare.
At that time Palila asked about the whole i don't know how to read think. She shouldn't have to be surprised because they are after all forest kids. But she was.
"I think i have the solution!"
Everything went too fast.
Living on the calm belt had its perks and being able to fly above it? More. It wasn't difficult for her mom to sign them up in a school on a grandline island without a marine presence. It was one of the closest to the calm belt so coming and going wasn't that much of a trouble.
"What ya think?"
The three of them were stuffed in a uniform.
"On your backpacks there's everything you're gonna need. Take care of Luffy i come for you finishing classes, have fun!".
Have fun she said.
Luffy probably was having fun giving the teachers a hard time with his infinite energy.
Sabo was probably loving learning more things without the pressure he suffered back at his "parents home". He was actually having fun being a teacher favorite.
While him-
"I don't understand this!!!"
I was having a hard time.
The kids around him were too scared to even talk to him, and he didn't understand a word the teachers said.
"It's not that bad, look at Luffy he is having a blast!" Sabo pointed where Luffy was supposed to be. They realize-
Where's Luffy?!!!!!!
Explosion sounds made their way*.
"SHIT!!!"

Palila was finally at the gates of the school when she saw it. Half part of it was blown away.
And her three kids behind an angry principal
"How was school?"
Apparently Luffy sneaked inside a laboratory for higher grades and mixed the wrong things without anybody noticing.
The kids didn't last one day at school.
"Well-...maybe school didn't work...but what do you all say about home school?"
Apparently their mom wasn't going to give up on them.
They ended up loving it!
Luffy was having a hard time learning but Palila discovered that using Luffy's favorite interests like Food and Prince worked miracles. He even learned math based on meat!
Sabo was able to study different things like cartography. And him? He finally was able to read cuz her mom was so patient that Ace couldn't believe she's still sane.
Life was good but there's something he wants to know apart from reading.
He's going to ask tomorrow.
