Suddenly she's back in the embrace of his mother and siblings all singing along while flying in synchrony.

—Song bird come and join us! — She was ready to join in when she felt being pulled down. When she opened her eyes all she saw was chaos and in the middle of it stood the figure of a man — Who are you? — She asked him while feeling like she already did it before. The man turned around and narrowed his black dark eyes at her, it felt like he was staring to her own soul — Bird tell me, what was the name of this island?— He asked her and it sounded bizarre to belive that this stranger came in and destroyed her whole live didn't know the name of the island he invaded — Reborn Island — She said with her trembling voice —Reborn island, huh? Well then...— The man extended his arms — I'm Jonathan Black the Black Knight — was he crying?— I'm gonna let you go for now— the darkness started swirling around him —but be sure to remember me — She saw how some of the strongest of his people attacked the man — cause i will get you— from the darkness big hands came and single handedly grabbed them — in the name of my king — the Mark of the soaring dragons stood up in his armor chest. And she knew what he came for — You work for them?— The man ignored her as he continued walking away.

She felt her body going numb and then she woke up in a bay —Hey you! Why are you alone? — the blond kid from earlier asked him — cause i want to — the blond only made a weird face — I don't get it— his face got red of thinking — Get what?— she asks —Why would you want to be alone?— she bit her lip at that — you don't want to do you? If that's so then join me!— he said while putting their faces close to each other — Join you?— he smiles even further — Yes! Join my crew! Be my nakama! And then you won't be alone anymore!— and for once she wanted to believe that.

She joined him up and became a pirate.

— Wait i didn't ask your name!— Prince finally realized — Oh it's actually Aika,means song bird— She still remembers how her mother used to call her his song bird — But i don't know if i want it anymore — her names always makes her remember everything that she lost —Then let me give you one! We are pirates, that means we are free to be however we want — she giggles at that— Then what do you suggest?— she was actually curious.

—Sara, means Princess — her face got all red at that — What are you suggesting?— he laughed as if the answer was obvious — If I'm going to be the Prince of these seas...then I'm gonna need a princess don't you think?—.

As he promised she wasn't alone anymore, she wasn't in a nightmare anymore.

Promiseland was everything he promised it would be. He met the rest of the crew, the lost kids. A crew made of misfits who didn't quite fit in society, kids who were lost in this world until Prince found them and gave them somewhere to belong.

After what happened to her natal island she never stopped running away from that man. She felt like she could never have that safety again, until he came by. At the beginning she was startled cause what if that man comes and takes this away too?.

But Prince took away her worries after not only showing he has the strength to protect her, but that the whole cost of the island is surrounded by sea kings that are really difficult to evade. Only natives of the island can do it cause they have been doing it their whole lives. But he didn't need that, they feared him and his will so they could go in and out without any problems.

—So then the rabbit ran as fast as he could!— she would tell stories to the other kids. Every single one of them calls her: Our princess. Nobody could tell stories like she did our singing like she does, for Prince there wasn't any better Princess.

He took her to the mermaid lake, to the natives place, to the more magical places you could imagine. He never thought he could love someone as much again since Jon. Jon. He didn't want this to end, he wanted her by his side forever. He didn't want to lose her too.

But the world isn't perfect and this wasn't a happy ever after story.

The shining smile on his face turned into an angry snarl, she was now in a forest back at Promised island — I'm not going to grow up!— He screamed at her — But think about it! We could grow up together and go even further than this area and see more places we could ever imagine! — She tried to convince him why it was a good idea —No! I'm fine with what i have! I don't need to become a...— he couldn't even pronounce the word, only thinking about it made him want to throw up.

He liked how things were now, he didn't need anything to change. He didn't want to change...like he did...

Why couldn't her princess see that growing up takes everything from you? Growing up took Jon. Jon from him!. They were fine with only going on some trips to nearby Islands and have the rest of their adventures here in Promise island, where they would never have to grow up thanks to the power of the eternal stone.

—If you want to grow up so much, why don't you leave and be alone again?!— he wasn't thinking straight when he said that — Wait! I didn't mean- — Sara turned away — It's fine, live your fantasy all you want. I leave tomorrow in the morning— she felt into the ground and now she was in a town walking alone again.

She was used to but why did it hurt so much — Who are you? Show yourself!— something our someone was following her — Bell?— The shadow of Prince was here —What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be back at Promised island?— it was a weird sight, Bell never left Prince side.

— Prince is in danger? You did what?!— she could barely process everything that Bell told her. Only one thing was clear, Bell messed big and now everyone was in danger fighting the shadow monsters and Jonathan back at Promised island. Bell was always confident in Prince strength, but even him was seeing the end of him right now.

—You have some explaining to do when everything is over!— as he should, why do you give the enemy the location of their hide out?!. Suddenly once more she blinked to be in another place.

She found her self on front of her worst nightmare — Prince?...— In arms of Jonathan black stood the dead body of Prince. Suddenly she felt the rage boil until everything went white. She can't remember what happened, only walking to a sailing boat.

Some of his crewmates stood there with pale faces — Where's Prince? Where's the island? Why are we on a boat?— she asked but stood in silence when the body of Prince stood covered by a blanket — Promise island is gone, it's like it never existed— she cried tears until there was nothing left.

With her still watery eyes everything started spinning around until she was left in eternal darkness. Darkness that's what her life became after that, nothing more than a void of loneliness and sorrow.

—Momma!— Suddenly a blinding light took the darkness away. In her arms stood tree little kids —Ace, Sabo, Luffy!— her tree little sunshines — Mom?— Luffy spoke with his chubby cheeks — Why did you let him get me?— the darkness came and took Luffy away — No, No, No,— she tried to reach him but no matter how much she tried there was nothing she could do — Not my baby! GIVE ME MY BABY BACK!—.

She woke up all sweaty and in the bear of tears. For the last couple of days she hasn't slept without nightmares. Even though she's still trying to smile back at her kids who need her, she can't break...

"Mom this has to stop!" Ace stated to her in the morning "I'm tired of it! All day you're smiling when we know that you're worried sick for Luffy!" Sabo tried to interrupt but was cut off "And you! All you do is blame yourself! When mom needs us!".

"Ace that's not how it works —" Palila tried to contradict him " No! You haven't slept well for days! You need to rest! ".

"But Ace I can't! I have to take care of-" both of you, that's what she was going to say but Ace wasn't going to take it anymore "So what?! Let us take care of you! I never had a family before...but if i learned something living on the mountain was one thing, work together or we all die. Maybe families are the same? Maybe you need us as much as we need you!" Sabo for the first time thought that Ace was smarter than him.

"We will help you out in the house and look out for the stupid little brother of us" Lu you must come back fast or im killing you for making mom so worry! [Ace though].

Day went on nicely until night arrived "What are you two doing in my room?" Ace and Sabo sneak up in her bed "we are not leaving you to fight alone. So we are here to take the nightmares away!" Sabo responded back and she let them snuggle in besides her.

Slowly but surely she fell asleep.

She woke up on promised land again —Sara stopped slacking off and came on, the party had begun already!— Bourgeois said to her as he pulled her over to the party. The party went on until everyone stopped for the big entrance of Prince —Is an honor to welcome our Prince in the traditional gown of the natives— Prince was being brought like a king in his throne all covered up with traditional tattoos and a traditional gown — What ya say Princess? Would you accept a dance? — Prince said trying to sound elegant only failing in the attempt — Of course you're majestic~—.

As they danced she felt like flying — The party is almost over— Prince words takes her off guard — Would you stay after it?— suddenly she's in a white room.

She starts to freak out until she hears someone coming — Who is it?— that's when he appears but something isn't right — It's me! Your Prince! — No that wasn't it, something told her to run —No, Prince's eyes are blue. Yours are black and a void of life, cuz he's dead and those eyes will never shine again!— She didn't know what came of her, never have she admitted it out loud — Why would that be?— the darkness was coming their way — Can you fight your fears? Or are you still the coward that ran away?— everything escalated quickly, Prince became a giant mass of darkness that swallowed him hole. From it emerged the one and only Jonathan black —Can you really fight me by yourself?— Can she?...

— She's not alone! She has us!— The shadow was taken back as two small figures appeared from the back and two poles struck him down — Ace! Sabo!— she ran fast towards them and hugged them up — we told ya! We would take the nightmares away!— maybe they did in a bigger sense.

Her life has been like a dream since they came, a dream that wouldn't end as soon as the sun rises back.

—Are those your kids?— she smiled back at Prince who appeared from the far — Yes, they are mine...— Prince signed as he smiled back — Did you grow up?— Grow up? What does growing up really mean? — Yes, I'm ready to move on— change can be scary, moving on even more. But that's what growing up and living is all about — I'm glad. Take your time, i can wait some more before our next adventure — Prince turned around and left.

In the real world there was a happy smile in Palila's face as she hugged her sons tightly in her embrace.

Yes she's totally going to take her time.

Until the time comes she's going to live like she never has before.

They were close to the Calm Belt, it has been some days already. And for more that Luffy was a happy social kid there were nightmares none of the Red hair pirates could help him get rid of.

So Shanks decided to interfere.

"Everything alright there buddy?" Shanks had to admit this was giving him a big deja vu "I want my mommy..." Luffy loved spending time with his friends but the nightmares came back and without his mommy by his side to console him...he was lost.

"Well she's not here..." Luffy almost lost it when he heard Shanks say that " but we can try and do what she can't. What does your mom do to get the nightmares to go away?" Shanks asks him and caughts Luffy off guard "She tells stories and sings us to sleep" Shanks smiled as he won the jackpot "What would you say if i happened to know one of your mom's songs?" Shanks couldn't love his captain more in these moments. If he didn't share that song with them he would be lost on how to help little Luffy here.

"You do??!" Luffy said surprise "My captain used to sing to us when we couldn't sleep" Shanks said as he prepared himself to sing.

"Blow the wind

Blow bonnie breeze my lover to me and bring him to me"

Luffy starts relaxing himself. He wants to be back with his family at home and have a big party with them and Shank's crew.

"Shank's I'm a big boy even if i want my mommy, okay?"

"Of course anchor".

It was the next day they finally arrived at the calm belt. The calm belt wasn't something the Red hair pirates couldn't handle, so soon they found themselves asking the kid for the next step.

"Shishishi i you have to call her!" Luffy flew up high and remembered what her mom said".

—This only works if you're not so far away, but it could work if you go too far from the house. It's called echo communication—.

As if it was a magic Shanks was sure that he saw a flashing light coming full speed until it crashed at Luffy.

"Mommy!!!" Luffy sobbed openly "I thought I lost you my sunshine next time don't go too far" Luffy nodded, her mom noticed the Red force and asked

"Who are they Lu?".

"Mommy they are Shank's and his crew!".

Said and excited Luffy as he hugged tightly to his mom " Shanks? The same one that saved you?"At that Palila decided she was going to give them thanks for everything.

On the deck stood a beautiful black haired woman that carries in his arms his anchor Luffy nodded "In that case what do you say if they come to your birthday party?" Palila suggested "It was a surprise...but we can make exceptions, don't we?" Luffy Totally forgot he missed his birthday! And was totally ready for it.

After thanking the red hair man for everything he has done for them, Palila turned on her phoenix form and took off the Red force flying over seas. They finally arrived at their cloud and Palila made it solid so they could stay at the party.

As the party went by Shanks couldn't do anything but stare "What are you staring at the cap'?" Yasopp asked "She's smiling" there was no moment where she didn't smile back at the world. Like everything was fine.

Maybe she did find true love like his captain said.

"The present time is here!" Palila came back with a lot of presents at her hands. As she saw how Luffy opened every single one of them something came to her mind.

—Move on? Letting go? But i don't want to forget!— she fighted with Bourgeois when she went to visit him back at his newly founded kingdom Bourgeois, named after him obviously —Sara this is going too far! You never visited us and when you do... you're sad? It's like we all moved on but not you...— Bourgeois knew the reason Sara didn't let her self be loved. Not even by his friends, his nakama...

She wasn't moving on, was not letting go of Prince no matter how much time passed.

—Some day Sara, you are gonna love again and see that Love comes and goes but we have to keep on. That's what growing up really means—.

"There's one more present left! And this one is from all there of us!" Ace came besides Sabo with a colourful gift "I know we can't always be there so we thought that if someone can keep you safe for us...is him".

Luffy opened the gift and saw a Prince plushie the size of a small teady bear.

—Love again? Me?—.

Palila stared at his kid's reaction, maybe it was time to let go. She finally understood what moving on meant, it's not about forgetting it's about life.

"Is this for me?!" Luffy started at it for a long while until he finally hugged it.

If Palila is sure about something is her love for these kids, if true love exists is this.

"I Loved it" Luffy hugged it, it was the best thing it happened after all this crazy week. The plushie smelled like his mom and that made him feel love and protection.

Palila was scared of losing them cuz she loves them like her own, but that's not going to happen. She has decided that she's going to give her life if it's necessary, no one is taking something from her ever again.

Late at night something surprising happened.

"You're sleeping by yourself?!" For the first time in Luffy history he decided he's no longer going to sleep with his brother's "Im a big boy now!" He stated as he snuggled up in his new bed "Are you sick Luffy?" Their brothers asked, this was Luffy of all people. This had to be a big joke, there's no way he's really going to sleep alone! He's probably going to sneak into their bed for comfort "What about the nightmares?" Yeah what about them!.

"I'm not really alone you know shishi!" That took them by surprise, not really getting what he meant.

Some time after Palila came by to check upon them and took a photo at sight of the cutest thing she ever saw.

It was Luffy who was sprawled on his bed with his arms open while holding thighly to the hand of the Prince Plushie. He even was drooling saliva over something he was dreaming about, meat? Probably.

She closed the door to their bedroom.

As she walks away towards her own bedroom, time passes. Things change, her kids grow up and she makes tons of mistakes and gets up thousands of times. But even when things seem to be in constant change she can't help but love every single part of it.

If things always stay the same, then what's the fun about it?

She finally opens the door but instead of a room we see the outside of the house were his oldest stands with a backpack on his back not longer a kid but a seventeen year old.

"Stay a little longer!" Luffy was attaching himself to Ace's leg "Luffy let go of Ace!" Palila tried to make his kid let go of his oldest "You have to let Ace go, it's not like you won't see him again!" Luffy finally let go at Palila's words "Besides you will still have your favorite brother by your side a little more" Said Sabo with cooky tone "Hey who said you're the favorite?!" Ace said with a mad face that was answered back with a smug from his blonde brother.

"Well then take care, my fireheaded of a son" Ace turned around not wanting them to see the tears falling from his eyes "Obviously mom, who you mistake me for? Luffy?" It was now Luffy who wanted Ace's Head.

"In the back pack is everything you will need, and remember if you ever need a place to stay..." Maybe the biggest and hardest change to take was his baby leaving the nest.

But the one thing that excited her from this change was knowing that they are going to make things interesting on the seas again.

Cuz they were her sons and would not stand for less than putting this world upside down.

"I know!" Ace wasn't known for hugging people, that was Luffy. But not even Ace couldn't resist hugging her mother "Then go and don't hold back" Ace smiles back at that " Never, since when do i hold back?".

And as that Ace leaves the nest.

That day a new chapter opens up and the world won't know what hit them. Cause Ace is a man of promise and he won't hold back.

In another place stands someone in front of a shining mirror.

"We will have our revenge, it's you's a matter of time" besides him stood a shadowy figure that had a cynical smile shining brightly "Aren't i right? Peter...".
