I don't own MHA. I only own OC's.
Sorry if you find any grammar mistakes. I'm still learning English because it's not my first language.
shadowlight27: Thank you once again for leaving a review! I'm glad you liked the chapter :)
1. Yeah. I wanted to show how not everyone from the hero side wants to redeem Gareth and the Pussy Cats were a perfect way of doing so, considering Gareth was leading the villains when they attacked the summer camp and is one of the people responsible for Ragdoll losing her Quirk.
2. The PLF War will start soon. You'll wait have to wait and see what happens there :)
3. Perharps you'll get something between Gareth and Geten in this chapter :)
4. You'll have to wait and see how TomuraAFO will go down, including Gareth's reaction to it :)
5. Don't worry. Taiga and Ryoyu will appear at some point of the story again. I didn't forget about them.
6. Perharps :)
7. Hmm. Interesting.
8. Yeah. Bakugo would definitely deny his fault about having his part in Gareth's suicide in the "Suicide AU", just like he denied his part of turning Gareth into a villain until admitting him. I can see him having a moment similiar to the one he had in this story where he finally admitted his guilt to Izuku. Only colder Izuku wouldn't be as understanding as he was in this story and would reply with a cold "Glad you can admit it. Want a medal?"
9. Yup. Gareth's parents would be more worried about how this affects them. Dead or not. Their view on Gareth wouldn't change.
10. Hmm. Never thought about it until I saw your review. Maybe Origami would kill herself in this AU as well, unable to take it anymore just like Gareth. The name "Suicide AU" would come from it as both Gareth and Origami kill themselves in it.
11. Took a look at this song and this ending and I have to say it really fits this story and everything regarding Izuku and Gareth. When the scenes showing these two guys when they were friends would came up, I can see the version of it in this story would show the moments between Gareth and Izuku before becoming the Mask and Deku (Like Gareth listening to Izuku rambling about heroes or them going to the arcades together)
12. Holy crap. Those words fit perfectly Gareth and Izuku. Especially with what I have planned for them after the war arc :)
EternalEmperorDmitri: Glad you liked the chapter. I'm looking forward to write the Tartatus escape once we will reach this point of the story :)
NEWTON RYBACK: Thank you once again for leaving a review!
1. Aoyama doesn't want to because of him being an U.A traitor. Put yourself in his shoes. If one of the League of Villains would be redeemed and put in U.A, I would be terrified in his place at the thought of it happening.
2. Maybe he went to talk with All For One :)
3. You'll have to wait and see what will happen int he PLF War arc. I already have planned out everything for it. :)
4. No spoilers about Toga and Mustard :)
5. No spoilers about the wedding place either :)
6. I'm trying to update this story as much as I can. I have my other stories to update as well and some real life business to attend to as well.
7. The same goes for your Vader idea. You'll have to wait and see if it will happen. Can't promise it will happen, though.
MBS41: You'll have to wait and see. Only time will tell :)
TheGreatGodzilla: Thank you once again for leaving a review! Don't worry. You don't need to apologize for the late reply :)
1. Yeah. I wanted to show how Gareth's action still affect people and how some people are not on board with the idea and Ragdoll seemed like the best pick for it, considering she was affected by Gareth's actions during the summer camp attack.
2. Yeah. The majority of the League like Rappa (who admitted it himself back in Deika City) or Toga or Twice never came off as someone for me who would be interested in the politics. Just because not all of them are interested in it doesn't mean all of them are not interested in it.
3. Really? Hmm. An interesting theory.
4. Hmm. Interesting. It would be like the characters in AOT finally feeling bad about their hatred and mistreatment of Eldians when it finally came back to bite them in the butt in the form of the Rumbling.
5. I checked it all when you brought it up to me when you left your first review. Even though I don't remember much of it as of now, I remember thinking it was good.
6. Hmm. I see. An interesting idea.
7. No. I think them just, like Dabi/Toya, would stick with the Todoroki name.
THE-Twilight-BlazeKnight: Thank you once again for leaving a review! I'm glad you liked the chapter :)
1. Glad you liked the opening scene with the meeting. The majority of the League like Rappa (who admitted it himself back in Deika City) or Toga or Twice never came off as someone for me who would be interested in the politics. Don't worry, though. Just because not all of them are interested in it doesn't mean all of them are not interested in it.
2. Glad you liked the conversation between Gareth and Re-Destro. It was nice to finally have these two have a conversation with each other in four eyes and show him being supportive of Gareth's leadership during Shigaraki's absence, unlike the rest of the MLA lieutenants.
3. Glad you liked the date part with Gareth and Origami and I'm glad you think so highly of their romance. Writing all of their scenes in the chapter was fun :)
4. Glad you liked the scene from the hero side. I wanted to show how not everyone from the hero side wants to redeem Gareth and the Pussy Cats were a perfect way of doing so, considering Gareth was leading the villains when they attacked the summer camp and is one of the people responsible for Ragdoll losing her Quirk.
5. I think you misunderstood the list. The list mentions the characters who aren't on board with the idea. Tokoyami, Shoji, Iida, Sato, Sero, Ojiro, Jiro and Aoyama aren't on board with this idea. The rest of their class like the characters you brought up like Mina, Koda and Momo are on board with the idea.
6. Yeah. It was reference to this AU. With Nejire being in this scene, I just couldn't help myself and knew I had to put a small reference to her and Gareth getting together in one of the AUs :)
7. Hmm. Interesting. I can see already see the changes Origami'a absence would result in such as Mustard getting his canon fate and getting caught during the summer camp attack. It would work good as a way o setting up a TogaxGareth AU as well.
8. Yeah. A bow wouldn't really work with Origami in this story for the reasons you mentioned. The Bolt Thrower fits her more.
Pikarosee1994: Here you go :)
ReaderOf3: I'm glad you liked the chapter and I hope you'll like this one as well. Perharps you'll get to see the conversation between All Might and AFO in this chapter :)
Gareth set his hands on the table in front of him, having just finished the next meeting between him and the highest ranking members of the Paranormal Liberation Front. The meeting went as any other meeting all of them had with each other by this plan as they discussed all the little details regarding their main plan. At least it went as any other meeting until it reached the last several minutes of it and Toga called out for him, telling him she had just stumbled upon an article which may interest him while browsing the internet.
Finding himself growing interested by what she told him, Gareth asked Toga to sent him this article and he received it a few seconds later. The article involved Izuku and showed him working in Endeavor's agency. The black haired boy crossed his arms, finding himself smilling slightly at the information. Despite his hatred of the hero society and all the plans he was making against it with the rest, a small part of him was happy that his friend was realizing his dreams.
Something else caught Gareth's attention about this article shortly after. It wasn't anything written in the article. It had something to do with Toga's reaction to it. When Toga talked or saw anything related to Izuku earlier, she was growing all excited and was getting blushes on her face. When she showed him this article, however, she reacted in a normal way as if she was talking about a normal person. Mustard seemed to have noticed it as well as Gareth could have sworn he saw him form a smile on his face when it happened.
The second thing that made this meeting stand out from being a regular one was the arrival of Hawks. The number two hero had been acting as their way of spreading Destro's word across the hero society ever since he was first brought into their army by Dabi and Mustard. Or at least had been assigned to this role by Re-Destro. Gareth didn't got a chance to talk with him in private until now. He hoped he would get an opportunity to talk with him soon, though.
He got his wish shortly after Hawks made himself present on this meeting as Hawks himself asked him if they could talk with each other after the meeting. Gareth immediately agreed for this offer, seeing this as an opportunity to talk with him he had been waiting for since he first saw Hawks in the army. He still felt distrustful of Hawks and knew it was his chance to talk through some matters with him and to see if he was right to feel distrustful about him or if he was just being too cautious.
Knowing he shouldn't waste his time when it came to talking with Hawks because he had something important planned today regarding his plan of sharing his story with the world, Gareth got up from his seat and walked out of the meeting room, finding himself in the hallway. He stopped in his tracks for a moment and looked around himself, seeing everyone heading off to take cake of their own business today. He was Hawks standing at the end of the hallway, appearing to have having a conversation with Asano and was about to push himself into walk towards them.
He froze in his tracks for a moment as he saw Twice standing in front of him, leaning against the wall. He looked at him questioningly, "Twice?"
Twice shifted his gaze to him and waved at him, "Hey, Gakkun!"
"What are you doing here?" Gareth wanted to know, "I thought you will leave with the rest."
"I'm waiting for you to have your conversation with Hawks! He and I agreed he'll start helping me today." Twice explained, pointing towards Hawks at the end of the hallway as Hawks excused himself to Asano and started to make his way towards him and Gareth, "Just make it quick! I don't have all day!"
"Alright." Gareth nodded in understanding. Back when the meeting was still taking place and Hawks was telling Re-Destro how he was spreading Destro's words as much as he could, Twice brought up to Hawks how he was still having trouble understanding it and if he could explain it to him. Hawks was more than happy to agree with it. He looked at him questioningly a second later, "Are you sure you want him to teach you, though?"
Twice nodded in confirmation, "Yeah! You saw how well he explained everything when he arrived at the meeting. With his help, I'm sure I'll get a better understanding of everything and be a better lieutenant!"
Gareth looked at him with a slight worry on his face, "You have a problem with your position, Twice?"
"A bit. Yeah." Twice chuckled sheepishly, "All of it is just so new to me and it can get really confusing at times! Sometimes when Sanctum asks me about something and tell me to say something, I find myself struggling with the answer and all I can think of "I gotta go take a dump!" before running off to give it more thought!" He rubbed the back of his head, "I really ask himself often if I'm fit for a position like this. Do you think oppointing me as a lieutenant was a good idea?"
Gareth nodded at him with no hesitation on his face, "Yes. I never had second doubts about anyone from our organization getting oppointed to a high ranking position in this army. The same goes for you Twice."
"Do you really believe I can do well in this position?" Twice gasped, "You must be either stupid or naive for thinking that!"
"Of course I do." Gareth smiled at him, "Twice. I know you care about our goal as much as everyone does and I know you will do whatever it takes to help us achieveit. You already showed it back in Deika City when you overcame your trauma and showed us the true power of your Quirk and I'm certain you will continue to show it to us once we will make our move. Not to mention, you're one of my closest and most trusted friends and I trust you."
"Thanks, man." Twice sounded and looked appreciative of Gareth's support underneath his mask, "Hey. Can I ask you something?"
Gareth nodded, "You know you can."
Twice clasped his hands pleadingly, "Could you call me by my first name? You already call your beloved Origami-chan or our boss or Mr. Compress by their first name. I want to join this special club!"
Gareth smiled at him, "Alright, Jin. You can consider yourself a part of it from now on."
"Thanks, bro!" Twice nodded at him, feeling happy because of it as Gareth could easily tell he was smilling right now.
"Sorry if I'm interrupting your conversation." Gareth and Twice looked over to the source of the voice and saw Hawks standing in front of them. The number two hero had his eyes set on Twice and explained himself, "But I would like to have my conversation with Takemura quickly if we want to get to our studying of Destro's book later on."
"Alright. I'll leave you two be!" Twice saluted at him and pushed himself into walk away, walking off to give Gareth and Hawks some privacy in their conversation.
Hawks stayed silent for a few seconds, waiting until Twice will be out of the hearing range of the conversation and set his eyes on Gareth, "Thanks for finding time to talk with me."
Gareth nodded at him, "No problem. I've been wanting to talk with you ever since I learned about you joining us for our cause and didn't got the opportunity to have this talk until now. I was about to ask you about it myself until you brought this up. One more thing before we will start, though."
Hawks raised his brow at him, "Yeah?"
"Don't call me Takemura. I always preferred when people called my by first name." Gareth informed him.
"Alright. I'll make sure to remember it. It's not everyday you see people in our country who prefer to be called by their first name." Hawks nodded in understanding, making a mental note out of the for all the possible interactions he will have with Gareth in the future. His smile remained on his face when he added, "How's your position as the co-commander of the PLF treating you? I'm guessing it must be a stressing job. Considering your teenage age and all."
"Yeah. Sometimes it can get stressful. Especially when some disagreements happen between the lieutenants." Gareth admitted, "The stress of it all quickly fades away, though. Tomura-kun trusted me with this position and I'm trying to do my best to make sure to live up to the trust he put it me."
"You don't need to worry about. From what I've seen, you've been doing a good job." Hawks smiled at him reassuringly, "I saw you everyone from the League looks up to you at the meeting and even Re-Destro talked about you in only superlatives. Even there's this one woman in the army, Minene is her name I think, who talks highly of you. I would call her your number one fan."
"I see." Gareth smiled slightly back at him upon hearing him say this, "Good to hear something like this from someone I don't talk with much. At least I know this way I know they really mean it and aren't saying it to make me feel better about something."
"Anytime. We're all here to help each other. Right?" Hawks nodded at him, "Now that you mentioned Shigaraki a moment ago, where is he? I haven't seen him since the formation of the PLF."
"He's out on a business trip." Gareth replied, not giving Hawks the truth about Shigaraki going through an operation at Ujiko's lab as he didn't trust him with this information and didn't want him to know about the location of the lab until Shigaraki comes back.
Hawks raised his brow, "A business trip? Where it could be if it takes him this long?"
"Who knows." Gareth replied, proceeding to this information to himself as his mind when it came to telling Hawks about it remained the same, "Can I ask you why are you here, though? It's not everyday you see a number two her in the country join what many from the hero side of things would consider a terrorist organization."
"I'm here because I believe in what the Paranormal Liberation Front is doing." Hawks gave him his answer.
Gareth raised his brow at this, "Elaborate."
"I think the freedom of quirks is a wonderful thing." Hawks explained, "As a hero I think it will improve our world greatly. Hopefully my colleagues will see it as well as fighting them when we will make our move is something I would like to avoid."
"Yeah. I know what you're saying." Gareth nodded in agreement as a certain person flew through his mind right now. The thought of this person made him sigh. He pushed those thoughts about them away a second later, wanting to focus himself on his conversation with Hawks.
"This gives me a question." Hawks said as Gareth raised his brow in a curious manner, "Don't understand me wrong here. I'm just curious. Didn't you ever thought they were better, more peaceful ways, of accomplishing your goals?"
"Yes. I did. There's isn't a way of doing it any other way as much I wish there was." Gareth admitted to to him and provided him an explanation right after, "You are a hero yourself, aren't you? You know heroes are. They refuse to admit they have their own flaws and will never admit to them as they live in a bubble where everyone praises them. Don't get me wrong. It doesn't mean me and my comrades will destroy everything, though. It would go against our goal of making the world a better place for everyone."
Hawks nodded in understanding, "I see."
"Why are you asking me this?" Gareth wanted to know.
"Just call it a curiosity and a way of getting to know you better." Hawks gave him an honest answer, "If we will be work together, then we should get to know some things about ourselves. Am I right?"
Gareth smiled slightly, "Glad to see someone else who shares this mindset. I wish there were people who had it as well in our army. We are working towards the same goal, after all and we shouldn't waste our time arguing amongst ourselves."
Hawks smiled at him reassuringly, "Don't worry about it. Whoever, they are, I'm sure they will come along."
"Here's hoping." Gareth nodded.
"And if I'm honest with you, I'm asking you this because I'm a bit curious about you as a person." Hawks added to what he said earlier to Gareth,
Gareth raised his brow at him, "Really? Why?"
"You often don't show the kind of behaviour people would expect from a villain. Even a villain who is as wanted as you." Hawks explained, looking at him with a curious look on his face as he explained himself further, "What you showed back when the heroes raided the Shie Hassaikai headquarters is a perfect example of it."
Gareth nodded at him, "I see you heard about it."
"I did from my collegues." Hawks nodded in confirmation, "You suprised a lot of people with how you risked your life to stop Overhaul and to help the little girl he was having under his care. You even left her under the care of heroes when you could have easily take her with you and bring her into the League."
"I did what had to be done and I would do it again If I had to." Gareth told him, "Overhaul was hurting Eri and he had to be stopped. I saw a bit of myself in her and I knew I couldn't stand by and let it happen. Too bad I had to wait for the right opportunity to make it happen and couldn't do it right away. Maybe this way I could have spared her more harm."
"Don't dwell much on it. You did everything you could." Hawks smiled at him, "As a hero, I know my thoughts probably won't mean much to you, but what you did back then was truly admirable. Too bad the media completely cut your involvement in Overhaul's defeat out and didn't mention it."
Gareth rolled his eyes, "Of course they wouldn't include it. Why bother showing villains are humans as well when you can keep up your narration of all of them being an evil moustache twirlers."
"Would you end up choosing another path if you could have?" Hawks wanted to know, "Many people would argue you would make food a good hero with your Quirk and you showed them you can do good things with it with what you did to Overhaul. I woudln't be suprised if there were people out there who would think about a hero out of it, despite everything you did as the Mask."
"No. I wouldn't. I don't regret becoming a villain." Gareth gave him an honest answer. What immediately caught Hawks' attention was Gareth absolute lack of hesitation when he gave him his answer. Hawks' smile faded away from his face as soon as Gareth uttered those words, "No matter how many lives I had, I'd always choose to become the Mask. Ever since I became a villain, my life started to get better. I finally found myself surrounded by people who don't treat me like thrash 24/7. To be honest I view them more as my family right now. They were more of a family they were to me for those last few months than my parents were to me for my entire."
"Yeah. I'm aware of your family situation. I saw the news when your aunt leaked the conversation between your parents." Hawks sighed. For a moment Gareth could have sworn he saw sympathy in Hawks's eyes. If it was there, it must have faded away a second later as Hawks's eyes back to how they were for most of their conversation, "Tell me something as someone who was there and experience it. Has everything they've been saying about true?
"Yes. All of it is true." Gareth nodded in confirmation, "My parents never said "good night" to me. I don't remember them ever saying "See you later," "Good job" or even "I love you" to me either. They barely even talked with me and the only occasions when they talked with me was when they were scolding me about me not meeting up their expections and the reason they birthed me for."
Hawks watched Gareth silently. Just as he was about to open his mouth to say something, he closed his mouth without uttering any words as someone on the back of his head was telling him Gareth was not done with his words. He got the confirmation to it a second later as the teenager went further into his words, having more he was planning and intended to say to the two number two hero.
"Everything changed when I was brought into the League by my Sensei." The black haired boy continued, "The League gave a place to belong and made happier than I could have ever imagined. Because of this, they're important to me. More than anyone else. They were already screwed by the world and everyone around them in the past for things they had no control of and I don't want it to happen to them again. I want them to have long happy lives from now on."
As Gareth went further into his words, he put his hand on Hawks' shoulder. Hawks looked at him as soon as it happened, internally tensing up slightly as something different felt about Gareth's expression right now. The friendly and respectful demeanor was gone and was replaced with a threatening one. Or at least this is how everything felt like from the number two hero's point of view. If Hawks was honest with himself, the way how Gareth quickly switched between both of those things creeped him out a little.
"My comrades are everything to me." He told him, keeping his hand on his shoulder, "If someone hurts them in any way, there is no place they'll be able hide from me. Sooner or later, consequences will come to them if they will hurt my friends in some way.
Hawks looked at him with a forced smile on his face, "Understood. Glad to see you're not seeing your comrades as paws! I would hate to find myself in the shoes of whoever hurts them!"
"Glad you think so." Gareth smiled at him, pulling his hand away from his shoulder as his expression went back to his usual friendly and respectful one. Hawks kept his forced smile on his face as Gareth looked at Twice and Asano and motioned them to come closer to him and Hawks, "Alright. As much I would like to keep this conversation going, I need to keep going. I have some business to attend with Asano-kun."
Hawks nodded at him, the uneasiness from earlier staying in him, "Alright. Talk to you later."
"Remember what I said, though." Gareth told him, his expression going back to his threatening one for a second as Asano and Twice walked over to them.
Asano looked at him questioningly, wanting to be sure if Gareth was done with Hawks or not, "Are you done with your conversation, Gareth? Can we go take care of our business?"
"Yeah. We can go now." Gareth nodded at him, reassuring him he was done and they could go now,"I'm sorry if I made you wait. Something unplanned happened here and I didn't want to postpone it for later."
Asano waved it off, "Don't worry about it. It's not like I had to wait for long as it lasted only a few minutes."
"Alright. Let's go, then." Gareth smiled at him as Asano nodded at him and both of them pushed themselves into walk towards Skeptic's workroom. As they turned in the direction of it, the black haired boy shot Twice a quick glance and bid him farewell for now, "Talk to you later, Jin."
"Yeah! Talk to you later, man!" Twice nodded at him as Gareth and Asano walked away from him. He shifted his gaze to Hawks a second later and looked at him questioningly, "What did you talk about with, Gakkun?"
"Nothing important. Just talked through some stuff with him." Hawks replied as he shifted his gaze to him and smiled at him, "Now, how about we go and I'll help you with understanding Destro's book like I promised."
"Sure! Off we go!" Twice nodded at him as he and Hawks turned around and pushed themselves into walk in the opposite direction Gareth had went with Asano a moment ago. As both of them walked off together in their direction, Hawks looked in the direction Gareth had walked off to and narrowed his eyes in it. He pushed his attention away from it a second later, focusing himself on what he was about to do with Twice.
Several minutes had passed since Gareth's conversation with Hawks, and Gareth was sitting on the couch in the room in the mansion where he had decided to record his video, feeling that the camera was pointed at him as Skeptic was getting everything ready to record his video, putting the finishing touches on the camera and the way it was placed. Asano stood to the side out of the camera's view, waiting for Gareth to call his name while recording after the black haired boy would finish one part of his confession to the world.
Before Gareth and Asano choose to take their video today, both of them talked it through ever since Gareth brought it up to everyone for the first time and talked about every details of the recording they will make together. They both thought out the whole scenario for this, making sure every single detail will be included and learned it by heart, having everything in their minds right now. They even repeated it between each other as they were on their way to this room, making sure they remembered everything correctly and fortunely they remembered everything and didn't have to
Gareth looked at Skeptic questioningly, wanting to know when he could start, "Is everything ready?"
"What do you think?" Skeptic looked almost offended by Gareth asking him such an obvious question. Gareth expected him to answer with a tone like this as he was already annoyed by him coming late for this because of his conversation with Hawks keeping him one place for a few minutes, "Everything was already set to be ready long before you came here. If you didn't waste your time and came on time you agreed on yourself, then we would be already done with it."
"I already apologized to you for that when Asano-kun and I entered this room." Gareth reminded him, "Hawks wanted to go over some things with me and to be honest I've been wanting to talk with him as well. You saw it yourself during the meeting."
Skeptic rolled his eyes, "You couldn't have just postponed it for some other time? It's not like he would disappear without a trace all of a sudden."
"No. I couldn't. There were some things I need to make clear with him." Gareth told him as Skeptic raised his brow at this, feeling something different about Gareth when he uttered his words about making something clear with Hawks.
"...Whatever. Let's just get it done. I don't have all day to spend on this as I have to discuss something with Curious." The long haired man after a moment of silence from him, brushing the feeling he had just gotten aside as he wanted to get this task over with. He turned the camera pointed towards Gareth on a second later, letting him know it was turned on with a nod of his head and Gareth nodded back at him, knowing it was time to start.
"Hello everyone." He welcomed the people of Japan who will witness this recording on the day everything will start as he looked up and glanced directly at the camera in front of him, making sure his face was visible, "My name is Takemura Gareth. I'm certain many of you know me as the Mask of either the League of Villains or Paranormal Liberation Front, whichever you prefer. To this day, I have committed many despicable villainous acts which I ain't going to name, because I would like to go straight to the point in this video recording. In this video, I would to like to explain what motivated me into committing such despicable acts and will continue to motivate me to commit them until my goal will be achieved."
Gareth continued to look towards the camera, making sure his eyes would stay glued to it as he wanted to appear completely honest here and didn't want people to think he was lying for looking to the side, "I'm certain many of you know the story of the treatment I was receiving at my home at the hands of my own parents. I won't go into detail about it as you already know this story. This, however, wasn't the only thing which lead me to my decision of becoming the Mask and doing all these acts. As many of you know, I wasn't fortunate enough to be born with a Quirk of my own and had to receive it from a man many of you know as All For One."
He went further into his explanation, not taking himself allowed to take a moment to pause, "Because of me not being fortunate to be born with my own Quirk, I was treated like a sub-human by everyone around me for all my life. Kids in the kindergarten looked at me weirdly as if a kid with no Quirk was something completely weird and unnatural to them and things got even worse when I entered school. Because of me being a Quirkless person, I was made an easy target for bullies and many people took this opportunity to torment me, making my life miserable and showing me just how insignificant I was to them and to the world around. There was a day where I just couldn't take it anymore and almost committed suicide by jumping off the roof. I was stopped by it by All For One. It all happened on the day I went missing. Just think about it. I had to wait for a villain to reach out to me while no one else would."
The black haired boy paused paused for a few seconds in his speaking and reached behind him before holding up the pictures of Bakugo and Tomohito he had prepared for this video. It was easy for him to get them ready. He just had to take the picture of angered bounded and gagged Bakugo on the podium from the school festival and the picture of Tomohito Shiketsu had on their website. Gareth knew both of those pictures were perfect for his video as Bakugo's picture showed him in a situation everyone knew him from and Tomohito's picture showed his face perfectly.
"Bakugo Katsuki and Kazari Tomohito. Those two were my biggest tormentors in school." He revealed their names to the world as he looked behind Skeptic and saw Dabi standing in the doorway to the room, watching him make his video with an interested look on his face, "Why am I bringing them up of all people to you? I have a good reason for it. I'm certain many of you already quite familiar with Bakugo Katsuki as he made himself known on the news such as him winning U.A's school festival. Both of them tormented me on numerous occasions and it was often seen by my fellow schoolmates and sometimes teachers."
He pointed at Bakugo's picture, having something else he had to say about him before moving on to the next part of his scenario, The other reason to why I am bringing up Bakugo Katsuki to you is because he is the one responsible for my suicide attempt. After beating me in school for daring to stand up to someone, he told me about how I will always be useless and how I should jump off the roof and hope to be born with a Quirk. He almost made me kill myself and he never suffered any consequences for his actions and is now a student at the best hero school in the country. The same goes for Kazari Tomohito. Neither of them suffered any consequences of their actions and are studying to be heroes. Do you think people like them deserve to be called heroes?"
He set the pictures down on his knees, making sure they will remain visible for the rest of his recording, "I'm certain what you're thinking right now. Wouldn't the teachers help you if they saw you getting bullied at their school. This is where you're wrong. The teachers in this school all turned blind eye to all of this and never did anything about this since they had flashy Quirks and had interest in becoming heroes. The teachers in my school always took side of the bullies because they didn't want their record to be tainted which may or may have ruin their chances. They completely covered up this event and kept the truth hidden to this day, thinking it will not come out. You don't want to believe? I have someone here who can vouch for my words."
Asano stepped into the camera's view and stopped next to Gareth, leaving himself completely visible to the camera, "This man over here is Asano Kyochiro. A police detective who had been working on my case since the very beginning of it. I'm certain some of you heard his name in the news before. He was there at my school the day after I went missing and questioned my schoolmates and saw everything there with his own eyes. He agreed to share his point of view with all of us after I asked him about it.
"Thank you, Gareth." Asano nodded at Gareth, finding himself in the center of attention of this recording as he looked directly towards the camera in front of him. He had a completely serious look on his face, doing his best to make himself look as beliavable and reliable as he can to make sure the truth will become known, "Hello everyone. As you already know, my name is Asano Kyochiro and I was a detective who was working on Gareth's case since the very beginning. As someone who has been involved with this case for so long, I can confirm everything he had just said was true."
The police detective kept his gaze on the camera, not looking away from it even for a second as he, just like Gareth, wanted everyone to know everything he was saying was true, "When I was first assigned to Gareth's case, I and my collegues went to Gareth's school to interview his classmates and schoolmates in hopes of finding some information which would help us get closer to finding him after we failed to get such information from his parents. When I talked with the principal and the homeroom teacher, I noticed them looking constantly worried and it only increased after we questioned all of Gareth's schoolmates and even some of his schoolmates. At first I wrote it off as them getting more worried about Gareth, but now I'm certain they were more worried about themselves and how badly it will damage."
He crossed his arms, keeping his voice and stance professional, "I even interacted with one of Gareth's tormentors when I questioned his classmates. When asked about him, Bakugo Katsuki laughed in my face and told me Gareth must have done this for attention. When me and my partner wanted to question the principal and Gareth's homeroom teacher about his behavior, all they could do at us was smilling sheepishly. They decided to keep this information would have been important to the police to keep the reputation of the students who wanted to be heroes and to save the reputation of their school. They covered it up for their own gain and only thought about themselves. A school, which was supposed to a save haven for students, decided to put the harm of it's students aside for their own sake and for the sake of the tormentors. Should school be doing this? School were supposed to be a save place for all the students. Not a place where they will be tormented for being the way they are with no one to help them."
"Thank you Asano-Kun." Gareth expressed his gratitude to Asano for sharing his part of the story with the world. He put himself in the center of the attention of the video again as he continued his message, "See? This is the point I've been trying to make to all of you! How many heroes have done questionable things in their past only to have this covered up to make sure everyone will keep seeing them as pure saints who can do no wrong? How many people who suffered had their pain brushed aside by theother people because those who hurt them were heroes or had potential to become ones in someone's point of view?"
He got up from the couch and took one step towards the camera, "Do you think people should be treated favorably, even if they are doing villanous actions, because they are either heroes to have potential to be one, because they were lucky enough to be born with the right power? Personally I disagree with it and I know this kind of thing must be stopped! Such behavior can't be covered and this is why I am doing everything I am doing as the Mask! Heroes don't care about stuff like this happening right under their noses as they only care about doing flashy crimes and collecting your cheers aftewards! Even If you will point this out to them and will try to do it in a way they won't consider villanous, they won't care about it and will sweep it under the rug!"
He threw his arms up slightly, putting a one last part to his speech in this video recording to finish it, "Unlike them, I want to stop such behavior and make sure everyone will live in a world where they won't be treated like sub-humans and will be treated equally! All of you are humans and deserve to be treated as such and me with my comrades from the Paranormal Liberation Front want to make this a new reality for all of you! All of us know how it feels like to be pushed aside by the current system and don't want this happen to more people! Our goal is to create a new better world where people won't be pushed aside for the way they were born or for the state they were caused into by their Quirks! Unlike these so-called heroes we care about you and the harm you are going through and we are willing to make changes in this world to make sure you will have the happy lives you deserve!"
Gareth nodded to himself, satsfied with everything he just uttered to the camera as he shot Skeptic a nod, telling him he and Asano were done without saying anything to him. Skeptic nodded to show him his understanding of it and wasted no time when it came to turning off the camera. Gareth and Asano exchanged glances with each other, not having to keep their focus on the camera for any longer and smiled at each other, both of them agreed on thinking they did with their recording.
Asano smiled at him, "I think that went well."
"Yeah. I think so too. Good thing we talked the scenario through before doing this. At least the tape won't need any cuts." Gareth agreed with the police detective, smilling back at him, "Once again, thanks for agreeing to help me out with my video."
Asano nodded at him, "Don't worry about it. It was no problem for me. You said it yourself when you explained it to me. It will make your message more clear and will make it more beliavable for the public. Now, we just have to wait for our Grand Commander to return for it to be uploaded when it will happen. It will just make it easier for us to reach our personal goals and I'm just doing my job as one of your advisers, right?"
Skeptic pulled the tape out of the camera and nodded to himself, "I'll put it on my computer and check out later to see if it needs any cuts. If it will need anything, then I will edit it out."
"Alright." Gareth shifted his gaze to him and nodded. He looked at him questioningly a second later, "What about the rest? Have you already planned with others when you will record with them?"
"If I didn't, then I wouldn't be meeting with Curious to plan out when I will do my videos and when she will do her interviews now. Would it?" Skeptic pointed out like it was the most obvious thing in the world for him, "Now leave me alone. I have some work to attend to."
Dabi huffed, staying where he stood in the doorway to the room as he finally made sure to make himself know to the rest, "Wow. You are as pleasant a always."
Skeptic shifted his gaze to him and looked at him with an annoyed look on his face, "What do you want?"
"What? I can't look into the room? I live here too, you know?" Dabi pointed out to him, stepping a bit further into the room.
Skeptic rolled his eyes, "This doesn't answer my question. What do you want?"
"Just was curious about seeing how his recording will go." Dabi shrugged his shoulders as he stepped closer to Gareth and Asano and set his eyes on Gareth, "I overheard you and your little detective friend talking about the scenario you thought of for this when you were on the way here and followed you. I have to say. You did put a lot of thought into this."
Gareth smiled at the praise, "Thanks. I know how well this part can work for us if we will execute it properly and I want it to work as well as possible. It's an opportunity for all of our stories to be heard by the world and we can show me we just want to make the world a better place for all of us. If the world will know our stories, then they will know the truth about the hero society tosses people away when they don't fit their image. It includes all of us."
Dabi stared at him silently at the "All of us" part for a few seconds and nodded at him, "Yeah."
Skeptic looked at him questioningly, "Will it finally stop you with this "I have no name" bullshit Mr. Mystery?"
Dabi shifted his gaze back to him and shook his head at him, "No. Who said I'm going to reveal it to you?"
Skeptic deadpanned at him, "Are you serious right now? How the hell are we supposed to work with you if you will keep with your no name bullshit and how the hell are you going to help us in our plans other than burning yourself alive if you will keep it."
Dabi narrowed his eyes at him, "I'll tel you my name when you need to know. If you have a problem with it, then I don't care. The others don't seem to have a problem with it, anyway."
"Listen here you..." Skeptic began.
"Stop." Gareth cut off Skeptic as Skeptic shifted his attention and glare to him. Asano looked at Gareth, seeing something like this from him for the first time as Gareth narrowed his eyes at Skeptic, "Dabi-kun won't have to reveal his name to you if he doesn't want to. If he wants to keep it a mystery for now, then he has all the right to do so and he can keep it a mystery for as long as he wants. We do not force me to do things here they don't want. Understood?"
Skeptic held his breath for a second, having not experienced something like this from Gareth before and let out a disturbed exhale. He gave him a reluctant nod of his head a second later, "Fine."
"Great." Gareth smiled at it as Dabi let out an impressed huff. Asano shook his head, feeling impressed by it as well.
"...What's going on here, Skeptic?" A female voice rang through their ears as everyone looked in the direction of it and saw Kizuki and Geten standing in the entrance to the room. Geten's eyes grew into a glare as soon as he laid his eyes on Gareth.
Skeptic shifted his gaze to her, "Nothing. Just had a little disagreement over something. We settled it down. What are you doing here with Geten?"
Kizuki raised her brow, feeling something telling her it wasn't the whole truth and asked him, "You weren't coming to our meeting for our discussion so I went there as I knew you would be recording the first video with one of them."
"It took us a bit longer than we expected as I and Asano-kun came several minutes late as I had a conversation with Hawks shortly after our meeting ended." Gareth gave her his answer for Skeptic as Kizuki shifted her gaze to him, "Sorry if we made you. You just in time, though as we just finished our recording."
"We will leave you with to it now." Asano nodded in confirmation as he added to Gareth's words. He and Gareth pushed themselves into walk, wanting to walk out of the room to leave Skeptic and Kizuki alone with their discussion as Dabi silently followed them. Dabi and Asano walked out of the room and Gareth intended to follow them out of it. When he walked past Geten, he noticed the way he ice user was looking at him right now.
The view of it made him stop dead in his tracks and began to turn around to look at Geten, "Can you tell me what's your problem with me?"
Geten raised his brow at him, "Hmm?"
"Your problem with me." Gareth began, now fully facing him, "I can tell you had something against me ever since our organizations merged together, even though we never talked with each other and only knew each other by the names, from the view and the things my comrades told me about you. What's your problem with me?"
"Do you know what I have a problem with?" Geten asked, poking Gareth in the shoulder with his finger to clarify his point to him, "It's you. You don't deserve to have the position you have right now and don't deserve to have your Meta Ability. You weren't born with it, like you should have. You received it from someone else. You just got lucky because you met All For One. If it wasn't for him, then you would still be someone without a Meta Ability"
Dabi rolled his eyes at this, "Wow. You said the same thing to me and the others back when we fought. You really like to repeat yourself, huh?
Geten ignored Dabi's comment and continued, "My point is. You shouldn't be in charge of everything. You shouldn't be the co-commander of everything in the first place. You shouldn't step down from this position and let Re-Destro run everything before Shigaraki comes back. Unlike you, Re-Destro fits everything we need in a leader for our organization and more importantly he unlike you wasn't oppointed to this position by someone. He was leading everything long before you born and you get to be leader over him? It's a sick unfunny joke. You shouldn't be here in the first place."
Gareth nodded in understanding, staring at him silently as he allowed himself to process everything Geten had just told him. It was when an idea popped into his mind. He recalled everything Origami told him about Geten from her fight with him back in Deika City. It made him come up with an idea, "...I see. How about we fight it out, then?"
Geten raised his brow in interest at this, "Hmm?"
"You believe in "Might makes right", right? How about we do things your way and fight it out?" Gareth began his explanation as Geten looked at him in interest, "We go underground and have a fight. If you win, I'll ask Re-Destro to take over the position of the leader until Tomura-kun comes back during our next meeting and he can do whatever he wants with my offer. What do you say? Do we have a deal?"
Geten's interest immediately sparked when Gareth explained his deal to him, feeling more than eager to show Gareth his place, "It's a deal."
Origami looked around the training grounds of the mansion, having changed into her a karate Gi from her usual villain clothes from the meeting. The dark green haired girl bounced up and down on her feet, wearing a pair of flip flops over her barefeet as she waited for Arasaka to arrive at the training grounds at the mansion. Following their first meeting and introduction to each other, Arasaka kept her word and began training Origami in martial arts after she got herself all the necessary equipment and outfit for this.
The dark green haired girl stopped what she was doing for a second and shifited her gaze to the side, setting her eyes on the other person in the training grounds as she wasn't the only person Arasaka was training in martial arts. Slice was being trained by her as well. The red haired villain, just like Origami, had a karate GI on herself. After Origami comforted Slice about Nine's death and Nishimura and Arasaka went back into the room to continue their first meeting, Slice asked Arasaka if she could join her and Origami on their martial arts training session once they will start and Arasaka didn't seem to mind it.
"Hey." A familiar female voice sounded from the entrance to the training grounds as Origami and Slice turned their attention towards it and saw Arasaka walking into the training grounds and making her way towards them. The young martial artist, just like Origami and Slice, wore a karate Gi and had flip flops over her feet. She stopped in front of Origami and Slice a second later, looking at them with an slightly apologetic look on her face, "I'm sorry if I came a bit late today and made you wait for a bit."
Slice waved it off, "Don't worry about it."
Origami nodded in agreement, "We didn't wait for long."
"Alright." Arasaka nodded, setting down the equipment she had brought with herself, "Are starting right away or is there something you want to talk about before we will start?"
Origami shook her head, "I don't think I have any questions now."
"Nothing comes to my mind as well." Slice shook her head as well.
Arasaka once again nodded at them, "Alright, then. How about we start with our regular workout warm-up before we get to the kicks and hits..."
"...Yumi-chan!" A familiar voice rang through their ears and all three of them looked over to the source of it and saw Minene walked into the training grounds, "What'cha doing right now?"
Arasaka pointed at Origami and Slice, keeping her gaze on Minene, "I'm about to have some training with them."
Minene stopped in her tracks and shifted her gaze between all of them questioningly, "Would you mind if I join you?"
Arasaka raised her brow, "Join us?"
Minene nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. I don't really have anything to do right now as Gareth is busy doing with his business with Asano-kun and Takeuchi-kun is doing his own thing and doesn't want to be disturbed. I could use a little extra workout as well."
"I don't know about this. I should ask them if they are fine with having some extra for our training." Arasaka looked at her with an uncertain look on her face as Minene nodded in understanding. The red haired young woman shifted her attention to Origami and Slice, "Are you two okay with with joining us today?"
Origami nodded, smilling slightly, "I'm okay with it."
"Same here." Slice showed she had no problems with it as well
Arasaka nodded at them and shifted her gaze back to Minene, giving her a nod as well, "Alright. You can join us if you want to."
"Alright. Thanks." Minene smiled at this, taking off her gets sandals as she knew her usual footwear wasn't fit for this king of thing and placing them aside, "What are we starting with? A warm-up at first?'
Arasaka nodded in confirmation, "Yes. We were about to start until you..."
"...Origami-chan!" A young female voice cut Arasaka off and Origami immediately recognized it.
Origami looked over to the source of this and saw Toga walking towards them, "Himiko-chan?"
Arasaka sighed as she was once again interrupted from starting her training session with Origami and Slice, "What now...?"
After a small interruption by Toga arriving at the training grounds, Arasaka could finally start the training she planned for Origami and Slice today with two additions for it as not only Minene, but also Toga asked her if she could join them today for their training session. According to Toga, she just like Minene, had nothing to do right now and wanted as she said "Kill some time by doing some training with her bestie and watch how her bestie gets stronger, before they will kick the heroes butts in the upcoming months".
Some time had passed since then and they had already moved into the martial parts of their training, having put the warm-up workout part of it far behind them. Origami exhaled deeply through her nose over and over again, swinging her feet as she kicked the target in front of her with everything she had as she put all the kicks she had learned from Arasaka during their training sessions since they first began not that long ago to good use.
Arasaka stood in front of Origami, watching her with a studious look on her face as Minene, Slice and Toga sat on the front next to them, watching how the dark green haired girl delivered one firm kick to her target after another. The red haired woman turned away from Origami, setting her eyes on the timer she had set up before Origami started this series on kicks and nodded to herself as the timer reached zero, signalling this series as the training session she had planned for today was over.
"...Alright. You can stop." She informed Origami about it a second later, setting her eyes on the dark green haired girl as Origami nodded in understanding as she ended her series of kicks. She put her hands on her knees, lowering her gaze to the floor as she let out a deep breath, taking a moment to catch her breath from the series of kicks she had just performed.
Origami looked up at Arasaka after a moment and looked at her questioningly, hoping she did well in what she just did, "...H-How was it? Did I do well?"
"You did well for a rookie." Arasaka nodded as Origami smiled, glad to hear she did well just now, "You still have a lot to learn, though. Just like Hasaki-san. There was something off about your fighting stance at the start and there was something off about the first few kicks you did at the start. You managed to compose yourself after a moment, though and everything you did afterwards was fine."
"Alright." Origami nodded in understanding, not thinking much of it as she knew she had a lot to learn as she had started her training just recently, "Are we going back to the training or are we done for today?"
Arasaka nodded in confirmation, "We are done for today. Our time for the training has passed and we already did everything I planned for today." She shifted her gaze to Minene and Toga, "Even if we had some unplanned guests at the start."
Origami nodded in understanding, "Okay."
Arasaka looked at Origami questioningly, "When do you want the next training sessions?"
Origami looked at her with a thoughtful look on her face, "I think I would be alright with the day after tommorow as tommorow I'll be busy with Nishimura-kun and my sword training." She shifted her gaze to Slice and looked at her questioningly, "As soon as you are okay with the day after tommorow Hasaki-chan."
"I think I should be fine with the day after tommorow." Slice nodded in confirmation, grabbing a bottle of water as she got up into a standing position and walked over to Origami to give her the water bottle, "Unless something important comes up."
Arasaka nodded at these two agreeing with each other on the day when their next training will take place, "Alright. The day after tommorow it is."
Slice stopped in front of Origami and gave her the water bottle, "Here you go."
"Thank you." Origami smiled at her gratefully as she took the water bottle from Slice and unscrewed it. As she took a few sips from it, Toga walked over to her and Slice.
Toga smiled at her widely, "Origami-chan! You were so cool back there?"
Origami lowered her water battle, closing it as she asked Toga in return, "Do you really think so?"
"Yes." Toga nodded in confirmation, her smile not leaving her face, "I can see you are getting stronger. You'll see. You'll be as strong as Big Sis Magne."
"Let's hope so." Origami smiled back at her. Her smile faded away a second later as she felt her shoulders and muscles hurting a bit from the workout she just put herself through.
Toga looked at her in a slight concern, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I'm just a bit tired. Sorry for worrying you." Origami explained, "My muscles hurt a bit as well from all this workout."
"I can help you with it." Minene offered, raising her hand, "I work a massager. I know a trick or two and can show you it."
Origami looked at her with an interested look on her face, "Really?"
"Yes." Minene nodded in confirmation, "What do you say?"
Origami smiled and nodded at the offer, "Sure. I would love to get a massage from you if you want to give me one. Where you will give it to me, though?"
Minene looked around herself and pointed at the bench she had spotted in the corner of the room, "How about over there? You will lay down on it and I'll give you a back massage."
"Alright. Let's go." Origami nodded at the idea as she looked in the direction Minene had just pointed towards. Minene nodded back at her and both of them pushed themselves into walk towards the bench, leaving Toga, Slice and Arasaka with each other.
Slice looked at Arasaka with a questioning look on her face, "She really works as a massager?"
"Yup." Arasaka nodded in confirmation, "You should be happy she went witht his job and not with her original job choice."
"Really? What was her original job choice?" Slice looked at her curiously, Toga looked equally as curious as Arasaka leaned closer to Slice and whispered into her ear. Slice's eyes widened upon hearing this, "...Oh. OH! If you're not messing with me right now, then it's good thing you made her change her mind."
Arasaka nodded in agreement, "Yeah. It took a lot of convicing, but it was all worth it..."
Toga raised her brow at the interaction between these two, "Should I know what was it?"
Slice shook her head, "Trust me. You don't."
"Alright." Toga nodded in understanding, knowing she would be better off not knowing what it is.
Origami and Minene reached the bench a moment later and stopped in front of it. Minene gestured to Origami to lay down on it and Origami nodded in understanding, laying down on the bench with her back facing Minene. Minene nodded to herself, reaching down to Origami to uncover her back by pulling off the upper part of her karate Gi. She uncovered her back a second later, leaving it almost bare with only Origami's black bra visible to her.
Minene smiled, clasping her hands together to rub them against each other, "Alright. Let's get to it."
She put her hands on Origami's back and started to give her a relaxing massage. She started off with some slow, smooth motions, but then went over to faster motions to ease any tension Origami had in her muscles from the training she had just put herself through. Origami smiled to herself, feeling glad she agreed for it as the way Minene moved her hands across her back was in a really expert manner and it made the dark green haired girl feel so good.
She lifted up her head from the bench a bit to look at Minene with a smile on he face, "W-Wow. You really are good at this."
"Thank you. I'm really trying to do my best in this job." Minene smiled back at her, appreciating the praise as she leaned closer to Origami's ear and whispered to her, "Can I ask you something? Between the two of us?"
Origami looked at her questioningly, 'What is it?"
"Tell me. Have you and Gareth already done this?" Minene voiced her question to Origami with her tone becoming more playful and teasing when she uttered those words, making sure to make it quiet enough not to let anyone else in the training grounds hear it.
Origami blushed heavily at this, understanding what was Minene referring to from the tone of her voice, "W-What? As in had s-s-s...?"
"Yes." Minene nodded in confirmation before Origami could finish what she was saying, causing Origami's blush to grow even wider.
Origami immediately shook her head at this, her blush refusing to leave her face, "N-No! W-Why would you ask me this? I-Isn't it a bit too early for me and Gareth to be doing this?!"
"Just curious." Minene shrugged, continuing to massage Origami's back like it was nothing, "Have you considered doing it with him at some point, though?" Origami stayed silent as she was too embarassed to give her the answer, giving Minene the answer she was waiting for, "Oh, I see. You did think about it." She leaned a bit closer to Origami, beginning to form a smirk on her face, As an experienced woman, I can tell you a small glimpse of it. It hurts for a moment during your first time, but afterwards you feel nothing but pleasure. You'll see if you'll try it out~."
"W-Why are you asking me this?" Origami stuttered out in a nervous embarassment.
"I already told you why. You can call me a curious woman~." Minene reminded Origami how she was just curious about it as her smile remained present on her face. She expression turned more serious a second later as she continued, "Why are you so embarassed about it? It's perfectly normal for two people in a relationship and a happy one at that to be doing this. If you did thought about doing it with him, then I can give you some advice on it~."
Origami shook her head in embarassment, "C-Can we focus on the massage and not talk about it. Please. It's really embarassing for me..."
"Alright." Minene nodded, focusing herself back on the massage she was giving Origami, "Keep my offer in mind, though. I'll be glad to give you some advice~."
Origami stayed silent, too embarassed to give Minene her answer as Minene smiled at the embarassment from the younger girl and focused her attention back on what she was doing. The massage continued for the next few minutes and Origami managed to brush aside the embarassment Minene had just put her through and just allow herself to relax during the massage she was receiving right now from the purple haired woman. Despite what just happened, the dark green haired girl still couldn
"Lieutenant Weaponsmith?" A male voice rang through the ears of everyone in the training grounds. Everyone stopped what they were doing right now and turned in the direction of the voice and saw Daiki and Nishimura standing in the entrance to the training grounds.
Origami lifted her up from the bench and set her eyes on them, "What is it?"
"Could you come with us?" Nishimura asked.
Origami looked at him and Nishimura questioningly as she sat up on the bench and quickly covered the upper part of her body with the upper part of her karate Gi, "Why? Did something happened?"
"It's about Gareth. He prepared something for you and we are supposed to bring you to it." Daiki explained, causing Origami's to become in it as she began to wonder what it was.
She got up from the bench and pushed herself into walk towards them, "He prepared something for me? What is it?"
"You'll have to come with us to find out. He wouldn't appreciate if we'll tell you. He wanted it to be a suprise for you." Daiki replied as Origami stopped in her tracks for a second and slid her feet into flip flops. She pushed herself into walk once again, feeling herself growing more interested in it as she made her way to Nishimura and Daiki.
"Alright. If that's the case, then lead the way." She told them upon making her way to them, giving them a nod. Daiki and Nishimura nodded back at her and pushed themselves into walk away from the training grounds, beginning to take Origami towards whatever Gareth had prepared for her and Origami followed them, finding herself growing more curious and interested in it with each passing moment.
Toga smiled at what just happened, "Gakkun prepared something for Origami-chan? How sweet."
Slice smiled slightly in a bitter manner, "Yeah. It really reminds me of him..."
Toga looked at her questioningly, "Him?"
Slice looked at Toga with a slightly saddened look on her face, "Nine. Seeing how Origami and Gareth act around each other or hearing Origami talk about him really reminds me of him and me. I just hope things won't turn out between them like they did between me and Nine. Origami is a really sweet person and I wouldn't want it to happen to her. She helped me out in my grief as well during our meetings..."
"I see. That's Origami-chan to you." Toga nodded in understanding. If she was honest with herself, she didn't want things like to end up between Gareth and Origami as she was gunuinely happy to see them together. The same went for her and her crush. If only she was certain if her crush felt the same about her and would accept her for the way she is...
Minene shook her head, letting out a sigh as she thought about Gareth preparing something for Origami, "If only he was two years older and was single..."
Toga raised her brow at Minene, finding herself pushed out of her thoughts after Minene's words, "What? What was that?"
"What. You didn't know?" Arasaka looked suprised by Toga not knowing about it, "Kasumi here is attracted to Gareth."
"What?" Toga asked, beginning to narrow her eyes at the purple haired woman.
Minene nodded in confirmation, beginning to blush like a high school girl as she clasped her hands together, "It's true. I just couldn't help myself after seeing his display of power back in Deika City. It was just so amazing for me to witness that my heart was captured by Gareth and it later captured further after I learned what kind of person he is." She giggled, "To be honest, between all of us, thinking about his display of power sometimes helps me to get through lonely night~."
Slice blushed at this, "Oh..."
Arasaka pinched the bridge of her nose, "Too much information, Kasumi..."
"What are you going to do about it?" Toga kept her eyes narrowed at Minene, "You won't try to get between them. Right?"
Minene nodded in confirmation, "Of course I won't get in between them. I may feel attraction towards our co-commader after seeing his display of his Meta Ability back in Deika City and after seeing what kind of person he is during my meetings with him, but it does not mean I will ruin a happy relationship between two people just to see if he would be interested in me like this. Unless they would be interested in a threeway relationship."
"No. They're won't be interested in it." Toga quickly shut her hopes down with narrowed eyes.
Minene let out a humorless chuckle, "I see. There goes my luck, then. I won't try to bring this idea up to them."
Toga nodded in a satisfied manner, "Good. Otherwise I would have to kill you."
Minene chuckled with more humor this time as she took it for a joke, "Alright."
"Do I look like I'm joking? I'm completely serious right now." Toga told Minene in an utterly serious, almost threatening tone after noticing how Minene wrote what she just said as a joke, "Origami-chan is my best friend and Gakkun is one my closest friends. If you'd get between their relationship, then I would slaughter you with no hesitation."
Minene chuckled nervously at this, "P-Point taken!"
Origami followed Daiki and Nishimura throughout the mansion, wondering where the two men were taking her right now and what was the matter regarding Gareth they wanted to bring up to her. Daiki and Nishimura walked into a room at the end of the hallway they had entered a few seconds earlier and Origami followed them into the room and looked around it with a confused look on her face as she recognized it as the dining room where she often had meals with her fellow members of the League.
He walked past Daiki and Nishimura and her eyes widened in suprise as she saw a plate on the table. The plate had a piece of steak on it. It wasn't regular steak she would see in the places she ate at before becoming Weaponsmith, though. She immiedately recognized what kind of steak it was. She had seen it many times when she was browsing the internet and either read about it or saw video of it on the internet. It was A5 Wagyu. Something she had been wanting to eat since she discovered her love of meat, but unfortunely never got a chance to do so, because of how expensive it was.
She looked away from the steak after a moment and shifted her gaze between Nishimura and Takeuchi with a suprised look on her, feeling her mouth water up at this realization, "A-A A5 Wagyu? I-Is it for me?"
Nishimura nodded in confirmation, "Yes."
"After I told Gareth I was a ramen chef, he asked me I know any expensive steak chef and told me about you loving to eat meat and that he wanted to suprise by you preparing a steak you always wanted to try out for you." Daiki added, "After sending out across our army, I managed to find someone who would prepare this for you and here we are now."
Origami smiled upon receiving the information about Gareth setting everything up for her. He remembered the interest she showed in trying out a Wagyu steak and took the time to ask people about it and prepare it for her, despite all the responsibilities she has right now as the Co-Commander of their army. Her smile grew wider as she thought to herself, "I love him so much..."
Daiki smiled at the excitement Origami was showing right now, "With this matter settled, both of us will leave you with your meal."
"Enjoy." Nishimura added as he and Daiki turned away from Origami and walked out of the dining room, leaving Origami alone there with her meal.
Upon watching Daiki and Nishimura walk out of the room, Origami shifted her attention back to her steak. She quickly took her seat by the dining table, more than eager to dig into meal as she grabbed a fork a a knife. She dug into her meal a second later. She felt her excited smile growing even wider after having her first taste of the steak. It tasted as well she had always imagined it. Not wasting any time, she cut herself the next piece right after and savored every piece of it.
Geten and Gareth stared at each other from across the room, having gone underground for their fight just like they had agreed on when they discussed their fight deal and Dabi, Asano, Kizuki and Skeptic watched them from the side as all four of them joined them for this. Kizuki and Skeptic wanted to see this fight because they wanted to be there for Gareth's defeat and wanted to have witnesses for it which would later confirm it to Re-Destro and Asano and Dabi wanted to see this fight as they were curious to see how it will go down.
Or least this what he thought in Dabi's case. It could have been also wanting to see Geten get his butt kicked again. Gareth couldn't be certain. The black haired boy proceeded to stare at his opponent silently, allowing himself to think about the situation he had just found himself in. He knew he had to do everything in his power to win this duel with Geten as he knew the effects him losing could have. Even if he prepared himself for such possibility by making a point of Re-Destro being able to doing whatever he wants with this offer, he still would have preferred to win as it would hopefully end all the problems Geten had with him.
He knew there was a bright side of him making this offer to Geten as he knew it gave him the opportunity to try out one new part of his power he still wasn't certain about. He was waiting for an opportunity to see if he was really capable of doing this since he tested out his new improved powers with Minene, Daiki and Asano's help and knew he had to make the most of it and check if he was really capable of doing this once his fight with Geten will begin. Asano was curious to learn about this as well as he brought this up to him when they were on their way underground.
The black haired boy clenched his hands, feeling his red energy beginning to circle around his fists as he knew his fight with Geten was only seconds away from starting at this point. He was proven to be right as the fight started just a few seconds later. He immediately made his move, putting his left hand on his chest to cover himself with his protective barried of red energy as he charged towards Geten, ready to punch him in the face even if he doubted this attack would pay off and end the fight just a few seconds after it started.
His doubts about this attack were proven right as Geten immediately formed a wall of ice in front of himself. Gareth's punch was caught by the ice shield, breaking it into hundreds pieces and Geten instantly replied to this with his own attack, by turning the largest ice piece he could find around himself into a sharpened point and directed it towards Gareth. Not having enough time to dodge it, the sharpened point hit Gareth but fortunely for him didn't do anything to him as it his shield, destroying it but preventing him from getting wounded.
Gareth backed away from Geten a second later, putting his shield back on himself as he used his Quirk to make himself float above the ground and set his eyes on the ground below Geten, seeing bits of it destroyed and looked around himself, seeing more bits of the room destroyed in a similiar fashion. It made Gareth realize why Geten wanted to have their fight in this room. It must have been his personal training grounds. It would explain why Geten had all this ice to manipulate with his power.
Geten wasted no time and followed Gareth's example, manipulating a bunch of ice to lift himself above the ground and immediately began his assult by launching himself forward towards Gareth and creating two gauntlets of ice around his fists. Gareth immediately moved to the side, avoiding Geten and immediately replied to his attack by throwing a few of the red energy balls at him in hopes of at least of them doing some kind of damage to his opponent which would help him in some way during this fight.
His hopes were quickly slashed as Geten quickly created one ice block after another, using it to block each red energy ball directed towards him and the ice block did their own pretty well, having blocked everything at the cost of bursting into hundreds ice pieces as a results of this. Neither Geten and Gareth minded this turn of events, though as Geten knew he could make this work in his benefit and Gareth knew it was his opportunity to test out something he had been wondering about since he tested out his new abilities with his advisers.
Geten grabbed all the nearby pieces of ice around himself, intending to combine them into an attack on Gareth and raised his brow in confusion a second later, seeing how some of the ice pieces weren't in his grasp and instead had red energy circling around them. He immediately snapped his head towards Gareth, knowing there was only one who could have been responsible for the red energy around the ice pieces and saw the black haired boy holding his hands out, confirming it was him who was holding those ice pieces to Geten.
Gareth wasted no time and wiggled his fingers, hoping things will work out the way he desired them to and, much to his relief, they did. The red energy around the ice pieces turned them into sharpened objects and Gareth shoved his hands forward a second later, directing them towards Geten. The black haired boy smiled upon doing this, satisfied by what he just did even if he won't land any damage on Geten as his theory was confirmed and he was now certain he could so something like this with ice.
The ice user immediately defended himself against all of the sharpened points of ice directed towards him, managing to avoid getting himself harmed by any of them and replied to this attack by returning the favor to Gareth and doing the same thing, sending some of the points Gareth had directed back at him in the processs. Gareth quickly flied to the side, doing his best to avoid all of them and found himself fortunate enough to prevent himself from getting hit and possibly harmed by this attack.
Gareth and Geten remained above the floor for the next few moments, trading various attacks with each other and Gareth kept his eyes on the wall behind Geten for all this time. After failing to hit Geten with a ball of red energy, the said ball always hit the wall behind the ice user and the explosions it caused upon the impact caused some parts of the wall to be destroyed. He had formed an idea in his mind and intended to put it into action if he will be careful enough and make sure his opponent won't learn about it.
Just as the most recent ball of the red energy caused some stone to be deattached from the wall, Gareth wasted no time and immediately grabbed it. He moved his hands towards himself, bringing the piece of the wall towards himself and Geten and Geten looked over his shoulder, feeling his eyes widen in suprise upon seeing this piece of wall moving right towards him. He immediately looked down, wanting to created something out of ice to defend itself from it but unfortunely for him he noticed it coming his way a bit too late.
The piece of wall hit Geten, shoving himself towards Gareth and Gareth quickly readied his red energy covered fist to punch him and finish him off. Geten was not going to let him defeat him like this, though. He pointed his hand downards, creating a large spike of ice and it shot out from the floor. Gareth's eyes snapped open as soon as he saw this, knowing how badly it will learn for him if he will remain in the spike's way and immediately moved out of the war, giving up on his idea of punching Geten to finish him off.
Geten immediately used his to his advantage and created a construction out of his ice to launch himself closer to Gareth. At the same time, he created a construction out of ice around Gareth and surrounded him with it by creating an ice ball, trapping him inside it for a moment. He knew Gareth won't remain there for long there, though as he was aware of what he could do with his red energy. He didn't mind any of it, though as it was all part of the part he had just formed. He just had to wait for the right moment to put the rest of it in motion.
The ice ball was destroyed by Gareth a few seconds later and Gareth was free from it. He didn't got any break from after freeing himself from it, though as a large barrage of ice erupted from the ground and all of it launched itself towards Gareth. Gareth's eyes widened as he held his hands in front of himself in a protective manner, wanting to protect himself as best as he can even if he his protective barrier was protecting him from any severe damage right now. Better safe than sorry, right?
The ice hit him a second later, destroying his barrier and making him cringe slightly at the impact of it. He immediately looked in the direction of Geten and narrowed his eyes at him, seeing how the ice user was directing two more ice spikes towards him. Gareth knew he was letting him play around for too long at this point and knew it was time to put an end to this fight, beginning to form his red energy around his right hand without using it on anything or rather anyone right now.
Not wasting any time, he shoved himself towards Geten and Geten wasted no time either and directed both of the spikes towards Gareth. Gareth balanced himself in the air, avoiding the spike attacks Geten directed towards him right now and made sure to keep gathering as much of his red energy as he could have right now. Just as he found himself near Geten, he knew it was his time to act. He knew he couldn't let Geten think of a way of countering him and knew he gathered enough red energy around his fist. He knew it was time for him to end this fight once and for all.
"RED FIST OF DOOM!" He bellowed at the top of his lungs as he directed his red energy covered fist right at Geten's face. He hit Geten right in the face with it, knocking him backwards as his body was send flying into the wall behind him.
Gareth cringed slightly after seeing the force Geten's body crashed into the wall. He knew he couldn't let him get up, though. Just as Geten began to slide down the wall into the floor, the black haired quickly floated his way towards where would land and landed on the ground. As soon as Geten landed on the floor, he grabbed him with his red energy and held him in one place to make sure he will stay down and won't try to turn the fight back in his favor in some way. Geten squirmed a bit in his grasp, trying to free himself from Gareth's grasp before stopping after realizing it was futile.
"Looks like I win." Gareth told him, keeping Geten in one place with his red energy as he intended to keep him like this until Geten will admit his defeat and admit his fight is over. If he would free from his grasp before Geten would admit it, he knew his opponent would make some kind of move.
Geten sighed, knowing he had to accept what happened. He lost, "Yeah. I know. Can you let me go now?"
Gareth nodded upon receiving those words from Geten, knowing it was what he was waiting for from him. He released the ice user from his grasp, knowing he won't try any tricks after ending the fight by admitting he had lost to him and Geten looked up at him a second later with a glare on his face. His glare faded away from his face a second later, though and was replaced with a suprised expression as he saw Gareth holding out his hand to him, silently asking him if he needed his help in getting up.
The black haired boy voiced his question to him a second later, "Do you need help?"
"No. I'll be fine." Geten replied, refusing his offer as he got himself back on his feet on his own.
"Alright." Gareth nodded, pulling his hand back to himself as Dabi, Kizuki, Skeptic and Asano pushed themselves into walk towards him after seeing their fight end, "I have to say, though. Re-Destro trained you well."
Geten raised his brow in suprise at this, "What?"
"Re-Destro trained you well." Gareth repeated himself, smilling slightly at Geten. Despite their relationship being far from friendly, he had to admit to Geten how strong he was, "Both of us talked about you recently and he told me about him raising you. If he raised you, then I assume he must have trained you as well. He did a good job at it. You're strong."
"Thanks, I guess." Geten looked at Gareth in a slightly awkward manner, the way he was previously looking at him no longer present on his face. The ice user sighed, feeling like he had to admit something to Gareth himself, "I suppose I was wrong about you. You're not as much of a weakling your Meta Ability as I thought and maybe I was wrong about you not deserving it either. You trained it so well after the year you had it and even defeated it with me, even though I had mine for my entire life and I trained it for as long as I can remember."
Gareth smiled at it, "So we're cool?"
Geten shrugged, "I suppose. I'll try to be more open minded regarding you and you being in charge of everything from now on."
"Great." Gareth nodded, his smile still present on his face. Even though he was curious about the circumstances which resulted in Geten finding himself under Re-Destro's care, he knew he couldn't ask Geten about it right now. Now it wasn't the time for this and maybe the time for it would come after the things between him and Geten would clear out more, "With that out of the way, can I ask you to help me train something with my Quirk."
Geten's eyes slightly widened at it, taken by suprise by the question, "What?"
"As you saw during our fight, I can use my red energy to make ice into sharpened objects." Gareth began his explanation, "This ability of mine has one flaw, though. I don't have many ways of training it as I would need someone with an ice ability around. How about we have some training sessions together and we'll help each other in some way during both of them."
Geten looked suprised by what Gareth had just told him, having not been expecting something like this from him. Not after he had defeated him and especially after animosity he had towards him for all this time. He gave him a nod of his head a few seconds later, "...I-I'll think about it."
"Alright." Gareth nodded back at him, glad he was at least considering it as Asano, Skeptic, Kizuki and Skeptic made their way to him and Geten. Gareth shifted his gaze between Skeptic and Kizuki for a second, "With this matter settled, I'll leave you three alone as our business with each other already took care enough of your time and I remember you were planning to discuss something earlier."
Geten nodded at him, "Yeah."
"Finally we can get to it." Kizuki muttered under her breath as Gareth shifted his gaze from her and Skeptic to Dabi and Asano.
"Alright. Let's go." Gareth said, getting nods out of Asano and Dabi. The three of them began to walk away a second later, leaving the three members of the Liberation Army behind.
Asano smiled at him, "You performed well, Gareth."
Dabi nodded in agreement, "Yeah. Seeing the ice asshole get his ass beaten again was fun."
Gareth smiled back at them, "Thank you."
"Looks like your theory was right as well." Asano added to what he said earlier, "You can use your Meta Ability to make sharpened objects out of the ice. Do you think you can do more objects out of ice with your Meta Ability?"
Gareth shook his head, "I'm not exactly sure. I will have to test it out with Geten if he will agree on having some training sessions together."
"You knew you could have freeze him in his place at the start of the fight, right?" Dabi asked him.
"Yes. I knew I could do it." Gareth nodded in confirmation, "I decided not to do this at first and try to extend this fight a little. Maybe if extended it a little, then it would make it easier for me to make him change his mind on me after I defeated him after a longer fight."
The black haired boy could have sworn he almost saw Dabi smirk at this, "I see."
Gareth smiled slightly at this, feeling something fly through his mind a second later. He stopped in his tracks before he reached the exit with Dabi and Asano and turned around to look at Skeptic, Geten and Kizuki, "Skeptic. One last thing we part ways for the day."
Skeptic looked at him questioningly, "Hmm?"
"Keep an eye on Hawks. If he does anything suspicious, tell me about and we'll make sure to take care of it." Gareth voiced what he had to say to him.
Skeptic nodded in understanding, not acting annoyed by Gareth for the first time since Gareth was oppointed to be in charge of everything by Shigaraki, "I was already doing this. Good to know I'm not the only one who thought of it, though. If anything about him comes up, you'll be informed."
"Great. Thank you." Gareth nodded back at him, satisfied with it.
Tartatus was a maximum security prison distanced from civilization located on an island about five kilometers away from the mainland where extremely dangerous Villains are imprisoned and interrogated under the highest security standards possible. The only access to the prison was a long bridge connected to a city with the entrance guarded by two or more guards that check every vehicle going in. The bridge connecting the prison to the mainland was made to collapse one section at a time.
The prison's interior was heavily armored with blast doors lining narrow, steel-plated hallways. Prisoners incarcerated inside it were heavily restrained, sitting down restrained on a large, high-tech chair with a full-body straitjacket. Sensors were continuously monitoring the vital functions of prisoners, reacting to even the slightest sign of unusual behavior or attempt to activate a Quirk. Tartarus guards were also monitoring prisoners in a room with several screens displaying the inside of cells, where they were alerted to movement and speaking from prisoners.
Tartatus had visiting rooms where visitors can speak to prisoners from the opposite side of a glass window. These rooms were set up so the prison guards could observe and monitor conversations between prisoners and visitors. These rooms were equipped with a microphone to talk to a visitor, and computers that could detect and display a prisoner's brainwaves, which informed guards of their state of mind during a conversation with a visitor.
All Might was in this kind of room right now, having left U.A right after Mandalay, Ragdoll and Kota arrived in it in order to pay a visit to a certain person and talk with him about one matter. The said individual was sitting in front of him on the other side of the glass right now. All For One's eyes and damaged face stared right at him, life support connected to his archenemy to keep him alive and was strapped into a chair, making sure he stay in one place and won't be able to do anything harmful.
"I have to say. I wasn't expecting you to visit me again so quickly." All For One began, his signature grin present on his disfigured face, "A new year started recently. Did you come here to wish me a happy new year? How sweet of you, All Might."
"Chatty as ever, aren't you?" All Might commented with his eyes narrowed at the captured villain, "You can cut your chatter. You know this isn't why I am here for."
"Really? Why are you here for, then?" All For One asked him, "I already told you I don't know where Shigaraki Tomura is and I think even you know that nothing has changed in this matter because I have no way of getting any information about him in this place."
"I'm not here to talk about him." All Might shook his head, explaning to his intentions to him, "I'm here to talk about someone else."
All For One nodded in understanding, instantly realizing what All Might wanted to talk about upon hearing his answer to this question, "I see. You want to talk about Gareth. Finally brought yourself to come here to talk about your successor's best friend after all this time?"
"What do you want to achieve with him?" All Might wanted to know.
"What I want to achieve with him? I merely want him and Tomura to work well together and I'm really glad it's working out. Seeing them grow closer to each other as comardes as the days passed reminded me of what I could not achieve with my dear brother." All For One replied, "You know you can't accuse me of taking Gareth in just to mess with your successor as I had no idea they were best friends when I first took him in. I did tell you this back when we fought in Camino Ward."
"Midoriya Izuku! He's the child you passed One For All on to, isn't he? I bet he came here without your asking. You have no control over him, do you! It sounds as though you'll die full of regrets, All Might. As a hero and as a teacher and you know the best part about it? I will have something to mess with him as I turned his best friend into a villain! I never would have thought things with Gareth will work out so well when I found him on the edge of the roof seconds away from suicide!"
All Might clenched his hand, thinking back to those words as he remembered how they made them feel at first. He wrote them off as All For One's attempt of trying to mess with him during the battle, despite knowing about Gareth being from Aldera Junior High. Unfortunely later he found out All For One wasn't trying to mess with him and indeed told him the truth after his conversation with Izuku following what happened back in Camino Ward. It was when he agreed with Izuku's plan of saving Gareth as he trusted Izuku and his judgement of Gareth. It was later confirmed to him when Gareth risked his life to save Ri.
"His past friendship with Midoriya is the reason why you decided to come here to talk with me. Right?" All For One asked, pushing All Might of this thoughts, "Let me guess. Your little boy wants to save him from his life of a villain, right?"
All Might nodded in confirmation, "Yes. He wants to save him. He's not the only one. There are other people, including myself, who want to save him as well."
All For One grinned, letting out a chuckle, "All Might doing something but throwing fist at every he considers a villain? This is something new. To think you must have retired for it to happen. I need to tell you, though. I would give up on it if I were you."
"Really? Why?" All Might wanted to know.
"Because I know Gareth and I know he won't agree to leave Tomura or the rest of the League." All For One told him, "If there's one thing I noticed about him after I brought him into the League, it's his conviction in his goal and how much he cares about his comrades, even though I didn't got a chance to see much of him with the members of the League which joined after Stain's capture. Even if he you talk with him about this idea, why would he even consider it? Everyone around him treated him like a sub-human in his old life and I believe one of them was your students. Bakugo. Isn't it?"
All Might narrowed his eyes at him questioningly, "Young Bakugo?"
"Yes. Him. You never asked yourself why Gareth beat Bakugo up the way he did back in Camino Ward?" All For One nodded in confirmation, "Tell me. Did Midoriya ever tell you about what Gareth had to endure because of Bakugo throughout his entire life? Did he ever tell you what both of them had to endure because of it and yet your boy keep himself glued to him, not thinking about the harm it puts Gareth through as was too blinded by admiring him for some reason?"
All Might's mind flew back to the fight Izuku and Bakugo had with each other and how Bakugo admitted his guilt about turning Gareth into a villain. He never learned the details of it, though as neither Izuku or Bakugo brought this up to each when they were around him. Whatever it was, he was certain about one thing, though. It was Bakugo's regret of his actions. Despite his explosive behavior, Bakugo showed genuine regret towards his trouble past with Gareth and genuinely wanted to help him.
"Yes. I'm aware they have an unpleasant history with each other. I oveheard him and young Midoriya talking about it once. I don't know the details of it, though." He admitted to All For One, "Young Bakugo regrets everything he did, though. He showed it on more than one ocassion."
"He regrets it? How great! It makes everything fine, then!" All For One stated, "It is really typical of you heroes to always brush off the sins of your collegues under the rug as if nothing happened. When it comes to one of your, you always have all the understanding and attention in the world and when it comes to someone else, you only care about locking them up, right? Sometimes I really wonder if one of your top heroes turned out to be someone you'd normally consider a villain."
All Might clenched his teeth, "He wants to fix his mistake..."
All For One chuckled, cutting him off, "He wants to fix it? How great. Too bad it will never make the past go away and the harm he caused Gareth. Do you think Gareth will be okay with Bakugo go with a slap on his wrist? He already showed what he thinks about it back in Camino Ward when he beat up Bakugo and something tells me Bakugo got lucky back then as Gareth right now may have not let him with just a beating. Especially after seeing how all of his tormentors have escaped justice..."
"You can cut this chatter about justice." All Might glared at All For One for this talk about justice, interrupting him from saying more, "With everything you've done over the decades and all the people you've killed, you're the last person in this country who has right to talk about it."
"You're right." All For One admitted, "However, there's a difference here. For my actions, I'm considered a villain and are locked up here while Bakugo, despite his actions in the past, is a student at the best hero school in the country and I'm certain his ablities with his flashy Quirk earned him admiration of his classmates. The same goes for one of the other of Gareth's tormentors from Junior High who is attending Shiketsu right now. For as long as Gareth will see people like them rising up and people like him having to suffer because of it, he won't stop his pursuit of his goal and the way he is planning to achieve it with Tomura."
All Might got up from his seat, "Once again, you think you know everything and always underestimate everyone around you. At first, you wanted to use Shigaraki Tomura to destroy me because of him being my master's relative and now you hope young Midoriya will be destroyed by him having to fight his best friend after you turned him into a villain. Even if you didn't plan it from the start, you managed to find a way how to involve it in your plan, whatever it is."
All For One grinned, "Perharps."
All Might clenched his hand, "You never consider one thing when it comes to your plan, though. You never consider that something might not go according to how you planned everything out in your head. Sooner or later, something will came up and your plan will be destroyed. No matter if it will be something regarding your plans of having Shigaraki kill both me and young Midoriya or having Gareth and Midoriya right each other."
All For One's grin grew wider, "Really? What could it be?"
"Shigaraki rebelling against you or Gareth realizing you never truly cared for him and were just using him for your own gain or maybe even both of those things at the same time." All Might told him, bringing up the two examples he could think of at the moment, "It can be anything. Just a tiny bit and your plans will fall apart and you will fall apart alongside them."
All For One chuckled at one of the things All Might just told him, "I never cared about Gareth? What makes you say that?"
"Because I know you." All Might replied, "I know you would have never reached out to someone if you weren't planning to use them in some way. It includes Gareth. I know you didn't took him in out of the goodness of your heart. You did this because you saw a potential pawn in him and never stopped viewing him as such and I know how you treat your pawns when they are no use to you anymore."
All For One's grin couldn't help itself and it grew even wider, "Maybe you're right or maybe you're not. I think you already choose the truth in this matter and nothing will make you change your mind. No matter what you will choose to believe, it will never change the fact that I never did anything to Gareth. I never set up anything to make him reach the lowest point in his life where he thought taking his own life was the only way of escaping his pain and problems. The kind of society you and your fellow created is what drove him to this point. People who were raised in your era of peace is what drove him to this point. In a way, you can tell you are partially responsible for it as you created this kind of society and were too blind to notice there are people who, just like Gareth, are hurting. Your Era of Peace made everything worse for people like Gareth or the League and the effects of it are showing right now. What you're seeing right now is just the beginning to something bigger."
All Might clenched his hand tighter, feeling all of All For One's words about him being the cause of all the issues people are dealing with right now. The door behind him was slid open a few seconds later, signalling his visit and with that his conversation with All For One was over. He turned away from his archenemy and pushed himself into walk towards the exit from the room. As he proceeded to make his way towards it, he could still feel All For One's grinning face on his back.
"It was fun, All Might. Looking forward to our next talk, whenever it may be." All For One bid him farewell as he was left alone in the meeting room.
Gareth walked into his room after going to the medical part of the mansion to see if he suffered any injures from his fight with Geten. He knew it was unlikely, but it wouldn't hurt him to make sure, right? Fortunely, just like he hoped, he didn't suffer any severe injures from his fight with the ice user and just suffered a few minor scraps and bruises which thankfully wouldn't keep him away from his training of his new Quirk abilities for some time. He knew the time was important here and couldn't afford a few day break here if he wanted to master his new abilities as best as he could before Shigaraki's return.
He closed his door behind him, seeing no reason to keep it open right now and stepped further into his room. When he neared his bed, he narrowed his eyes at the cupboard next to his bed as he saw something new laying there. He didn't remember seeing it there back when he and Origami left the room this morning and he doubted Origami would put it there as she should have been busy with her martial arts training with Arasaka after the meeting they had today with the rest.
He walked over to the cupboard and stopped in front of it, seeing what it was. It was a small case. If Gareth was honest with himself, he felt like he had seen it somewhere before. He couldn't recall from where as of now, though. Knowing there was only one way he could find out what it is, he picked up the box and opened it. He was immediately greeted by the sight of a small folded piece of a paper. It was obvious to Gareth it must have been a message to him from someone.
He grabbed the paper and picked it up, revealing what was laying underneath it. Gareth's eyes widened as soon as he set his eyes on it. He saw something he didn't see in a long time and something he wasn't expecting to find in this case. It was a Quirk Erasing Bullet. It made him realize who sent him this case. It was from Ujiko. Only he could have sent him a Quirk Erasing Bullet as Shigaraki left all of them at this lab shortly after they began trying to over Gigantomachia all this time ago.
He unfolded the message a second later and took a look at the message Ujiko had written for him. It read, "Hello, Gareth. I had Johnny transport this message and my gift to you. My work on Shigaraki Tomura is going amazing. Better than I could have imagined. You and your little army will absolutely love the effects when you will see him. I know what you are asking yourself. Couldn't he call me with this information? I would call you if it wasn't for the little gift I prepared for you in this case. My machines are doing a good job at coping those bullets even if the process is slow. You can do whatever you want with my little gift and use it on whoever you will desire to."
Gareth looked away from the message upon finishing it and shifted his gaze back to the case with the Quirk Erasing Bullet in it. He felt many questions flying through his mind right now. What was he going to do with this bullet and more importantly who was he going to use it for as he knew it worked in only one way. He knew he couldn't answer either of those questions now. Where he was going to keep it? Here he, on the other, knew the answer as he knew he had to keep it close to himself on every occasion.
He was brought out of his thoughts regarding this matter a few seconds later as someone opened the door to his room. He placed the case back on the cupboard, deciding to come back to it later and turned around to look at the door to his room and saw Origami walking into his room. He smiled as soon as he laid his eyes on his girlfriend, "Origami."
"Hey." Origami smiled back at him, still wearing her karate Gi on herself as she pushed herself into walk and walked over to Gareth. She stopped in front of him and kissed him on the cheek with a slight blush on her face, showing him her appreciaton of his wagyu steak suprise, "Thank you for the steak."
Gareth blushed slightly at her action, "You're welcome. It was no problem. I knew how much you have been wanting to try it out and asked Takeuchi-kun if he knows any classy steak chefs. He sent the word across our army and managed to find someone who would prepare one for you. How was it, by the way? I hope you liked it."
Origami's smile grew wider, "I loved it. It tasted as good as I imagined. I almost felt bad eating it to be honest."
"Alright. I'm glad you liked it." Gareth chuckled, "How was your day after the meeting? How did your martial arts training go today?"
"It..." Origami's words died in her throat as she recalled the conversation she had with Minene when Minene was giving her a massage. She blushed, getting a raised brow out of Gareth and gave him her answer, "I-It went well. A training session like any other. H-How about you? How did your day went today after the meeting. Did you took care of your video with Asano?"
Gareth nodded in confirmation, "Yes. I did. Recording it went quicker than I expected. Probably because me and Asano-kun knew what to say. Now we just have to wait until Tomura-kun returns from his operation and it will all over the media and the internet. The same goes for every other material we will prepare."
Origami nodded in agreement and looked at him questioningly, "Were you doing anything today? If the stuff with the video went quickly, then you still had a lot of time. Did you went to the room straight away?"
"No." Gareth shook his head, "I fought Geten shortly after I got the video done."
Origami's eyes widened in suprise, "W-What?"
"I stumbled upon Geten in the hallway and we decided to fight everything out underground." Gareth replied.
"I-I see." Origami nodded in understanding, still suprised by what her boyfriend just told her, "How did it go?"
"I defeated him and I think he doesn't think I don't deserve my Quirk anymore." Gareth gave her a short explanation of what happened, not wanting to go into full detail of his fight with Geten, "I hope things will start getting between us from now on."
"Alright. I'm glad to hear it." Origami smiled. She looked at him with a slight concern on her face a second later, "What about you? Did you got hurt during the fight?"
Gareth shook his head, "Got a few bruises and scrapes. Nothing much."
"Are you sure?" Origami wanted to be sure, "Did you go the medical part to make sure of it?"
Gareth nodded in confirmation, "I did. They told me I didn't anything and told me I have nothing to worry about."
"Alright." Origami smiled at him as she turned away from Gareth and turned towards the bathroom. She kicked off her flip flops, having no need to keep them on their feet when she will enter the bathroom and pushed herself into walk towards it. On her way to the bathroom, she made sure to pick up her neatly folded blue pajamas, "I'll go take a quick shower. I'll be back in several minutes."
Gareth nodded in understanding as Origami walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind her after entering it. When his girlfriend vanished from his view after entering the bathroom, Gareth shifted his attention back to the case with the Quirk Erasing Bullet from Ujiko. The black haired boy nodded to himself, feeling something on the back of his head telling him he will make a good use of it in the future, whether the situation when he will use it will come quickly or late.
Watched The Amazing Digital Circus and I absolutely loved it! Amazing animation and designs. Fun cast of characters too. I hope we get more of it in the future. I've only had Pomni and Gangle for one episode and if anything happened to them, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself. I love Jax as well. He is such a jerk and I love for him fot it. The fact is he voiced by Angel Dust's original VA makes it even better.
A new preview for Hazbin Hotel came out (I loved the scene with singing Charlie they showed us in it, btw) and the revelation of the new voice actors came with it. Even though I'm a bit sad about all of the original VA getting replaced, I'm looking forward to see what the new VA have in store for us (Like Pentious having the same VA as Fizz from Helluva Boss or Husk being voiced by Keith David). I just can't wait for January to come.
The new Spy x Family episodes came out and I liked them. Seeing Loid and Yor's date or Bond trying to avoid eating Yor's food animated was fun.
The same goes for the new Arknights episodes. Seeing the sad cat animated was nice.
