YeanYorick: I understand what you mean and for now they're just friends with growing feelings in the early stage. Still, they hang out, call each other by their first names and people tend to tease Ichinose and Ayanokouji is still obvious to the fate connection but won't act yet. Still, thanks for your opinion.
On the island...
Through amphibious transports, the students have arrived and are being briefed by their class representative. Well, only Class D because the other 3 classes already made their move. "Okay first, let's review our situation now. The school gave us 2 tents for 8 students, 2 flashlights, one box of matches, backpacks of amenities for everyone and sunblock for the girls..." While Yousuke is briefing the class via the manual, "A whole week with only these?" Kikyo exclaimed with Mii-chan, Kokoro and Mori feeling worried.
"For real? Survival test on a deserted island?" Ike asked examining the supplies. And Horikita feels uneasy with Ayanokouji knowing that something is amiss in her.
In the forest...
2 students are in the midst of the discussion. "Proceed as we discussed then." Ryuuen spoke up. "Right." Katsuragi offered him a handshake but, "Don't get too cocky. Ever since the rumour started to spread that you failed to get into the student council, Sakayanagi's faction has gained dominance." Ryuuen revealed making him grit his teeth. "And furthermore, Ichinose also failed to get into the student council but some time later, the council suddenly accepted her in."
"Any reason?" Katsuragi asked. "Dunno and don't care. But keep in mind that we should use this opportunity for both of us." Ryuuen the took his leave.
Back at the beach...
"Food and drink are self-procured and we have to survive outdoors until noon 7 days for now." Yousuke concluded the briefing with Karuizawa looking at the manual. "But remember what the teacher said? We can swim in the ocean and hold barbeques and stuff freely." Yamauchi brought up and Sudou and Miyamoto are standing. "True. Only if we spend some of the 300 special test S-points we were given." Yousuke replied as he flipped through the maunal. "There's a wide range of things we can buy with the S-points. Food, drinking water, tools for a barbeque, grill for a barbeque, etc."
"So...you're not gonna use them?" Yamauchi asked questioning him. "Well, any S-points we have left when the test is over will be added in our class points." Yousuke replied as he flipped the next page of the manual. "So if we can tough it out for a week, we'll get a ton of private points a month! And who knows? We might even outrank at least one of the classes!" Ike exclaimed in excitement as Yousuke flipped the next page. "What's that?" Karuizawa asked. "A list of things we lose points for." He replied as he briefed the class on that. "Illnesses and serious injuries, polluting of the surrounding environment, absence at morning and evening roll calls and finally, violence against or stealing from other classes."
"Oh good. Those Class-C bastards better know of this since they ticked me before." Sudou thought with a serious frown. "What's with the frown?" Akito Miyake asked. "Nothing." He replied. "Ne, there's a way to get more points, wasn't there?" Karuizawa asked. "Yes. There are certain spots on the island so each time we secure them, we get bonus points." Yousuke answered.
Behind them, "So the theme of this special exam is "freedom" right?" Ayanokouji asked. "It seems so." Horikita agreed. "If we do this right, we could come close to the upper classes. Even Ike-kun mentioned a chance for us to surpass the class rankings." She then examined her wristwatch. "This is really in our way."
"There's a penalty for removing it without authorization huh?" Ayanokouji asked while examining his wristwatch. "Hidden sensors and GPS are built into them so that they can send aid immediately in an emergency, I guess." They then watched their class discuss some more on the special exam. "Ne Hirata-kun, I think we can use our points to some extent, right?" Karuizawa asked sweet-talking him a bit. He wasn't sure when, "Sorry I disagree." The person who spoke up was Teruhiko Yukimura. "We should refrain from doing so as long as we can."
"But it's gonna be tough, though..." She replied as many girls agreed with her when, "A basic toilet?" Yousuke noticed and it got everyone's attention. "Mou I'd prefer to suck it up personally but I don't think all of the girls will be able to..." Karuizawa spoke on their behalf and they can agree with her.
A basic toilet. You use a superabsorbent polymer sheet to solidify waste and each sheet can be re-used many times. But...it might be hard on the girls...
Ayanokouji then visualised on how the basic toilet is set up and re-used. "Come on guys, we can make do with the basic toilet at least." Ike suggested. "Excuse me! You know I'm telling you this because some of the girls may not be able to use it!" Karuizawa reprimanded him. "Yeah! Use your common sense you idiot!" Shinohara added when Yousuke found something in the manual. "A regular toilet is one thing we can buy with the points." Upon hearing that, Karuizawa, Shinohara, Haruka and Satou went to have a look. It really suits their needs and they requested to buy it. However, "We shouldn't spend any points without at least the majority of us voting for it." Yukimura stated with Ike agreeing with him. "It's also our big chance to score a ton of class points so we really don't need the regular toilet."
"Ha! So you want us girls to suffer more you selfish idiot?!" An angry Shinohara questioned Ike. "We can't listen to every whim of the girls who act with their feelings or risk getting ourselves in trouble Hirata." Yukimura stated firmly defending Ike with Sakura looking and listening to him. "What did you say you smart aleck?" Karuizawa asked as the girls and boys began arguing with Yousuke trying to calm the class down and Kouenji just standing by and saying nothing at all. "This test is starting to become more complicated than I thought it would be." Horikita exclaimed with concern as Ayanokouji observed the situation.
Soon enough...
Class D has finally began moving on foot as they trekked in the forest. "Ike, Yamauchi and Sudou went off on their own to look for a campground and spots." Ayanokouji thought as he looked at Horikita who's trekking beside him and she's still feeling uneasy in a way that she's huddling to herself. "Are you not having fun?"
"This isn't exactly what I do everyday." She replied. "Both living in this primitive way and having to be around other people. Even so, what you said to me has become a reality. That they would test us on things besides academics."
"Yeah." He replied. "Right now, 3 of our classmates have volunteered to go searching. That's something beyond my abilities." She added. "Nevermind them, you feeling okay?" He asked. "What do you mean? If Class A and Class B are focusing on taking the spots, so do we." She replied trying to divert his focus away regarding herself.
"Aiming for a higher class sure is tough." Ayanokouji described as at the front, Yukimura is watching over Hondou, Ijuin and Akito as they trek with their class. "Aren't you interested?" Horikita asked as the next scene shows Okitani, Kokoro, Kikyo and Kayano looking around as they trek on. "Interested in what?" He asked. "You know, insurance of the job or university you want. I'd assume anyone who enrolled to this school did so to secure that privilege." She replied with explanation while still huddling to herself which Ayanokouji is concerned about.
A while later, the whole class stopped to rest their legs and catch their breath. "A class of 25 students with a single basic toilet they're not used to using...can we really manage without any trouble?" Yousuke asked Yukimura who's cleaning his glasses. "Well...if we can make the best of it..." He replied as he wore them back. "Sharing a single basic toilet is definitely a problem right from the get-go. I think spending points to an extent is the most effective way. Reckless self-deprivation will build up stress and uncertainty. It may cause hygiene issues too." Yousuke suggested. "It'll also give the girls the peace of mind as they participate in this test too."
"That might be true..." Yukimura replied still feeling unsure about it as he adjusted his glasses. "It seems he can't argue against such reasoning." Ayanokouji thought for he's eavesdropping their conversation and now, Yousuke walked to the centre of the area to begin a new discussion. "I think we should start searching for a base camp area too."
"You think so?" Karuizawa asked. "Where we decide to set up may influence how we have to spend our points. It'll also lessen the loads of Sudou, Ike and Yamauchi for they're still searching so why not we search also to cover more ground which will be enough to at least find the perfect spot to set up camp." He explained as he asked the class. "Is there anyone willing to go with me?"
Kouenji, Ijuin, Kikyo, Ayanokouji, Sakura and 4 others raised their hands. So with 9 people volunteering to help out, Yousuke split them into teams of 3 and the search begins.
It now cuts to Kouenji jumping from tree to tree as he praised himself and admired the forest nature. "Excellent athletic ability. He doesn't seem to be reluctant in dealing with the outside world." Ayanokouji analyzed as Sakura caught up with them. "Oh my...it's hard to walk in the forest right?"
"Even so with this heat. You okay?" He asked. "Yeah I'll be fine and Kouenji-kun just started swinging from branch to branch." She replied as he turned to see him do that. "Let's pick up the pace." He suggested as they hurried after him. "K-Kouenji-kun's amazing isn't he?" Sakura asked. "It's not just his athletic prowess, he does everything with absolute confidence too." Ayanokouji described. "Sugoi...I can definitely learn something from him." She exclaimed as, "Kouenji. You shouldn't go that fast or-"
"No need to worry, a forest like this is no problem!" He called out while hanging onto a branch with one hand. "What do you mean?" Ayanokouji asked as he and Sakura ran on to catch up with him. "In such a forest like this, at least there's a chance for us to get lost during daytime." He answered. "That's why it intrigues me so much." He then continued his acrobatic stunts leaving his 2 classmates to keep running after him.
A while later...
"Crap. We lost him. Just how many kilometers per hour is he flying like that?" Ayanokouji asked as he looked around for him. "Kouenji-kun didn't go that far did he?" Sakura asked. "And this is a path?"
"Looks like it." He replied as they looked up to see a cave right before their eyes. "Indeed." They looked to see him standing above a tree waving at them. "I told you we didn't get lost. No problem!"
"Next time, try to slow down." Ayanokouji suggested as, "Sugoi...do you think this is a spot?" Sakura asked. "Perhaps." Ayanokouji replied as he recalled something like that just now before the whole class began the trekking.
(Flashback)
"There are multiple spots on the island. Each time you claim ownership of a spot, you earn one bonus S-point. However, you can't spend bonus points during the test period. Instead, they'll be added to your class points after the test is over. Now each claim only lasts for 8 hours and only the class leader has the authority to claim ownership. A key card is needed to claim a spot and it'll be given to the class leader. Also, you can't change leaders without a legitimate reason." Chabashira-sensei briefed the whole class as they paid attention to her and she showed them a green key card. She then showed an interesting smile. "In addition, on the last day when we take roll, for each class leader you correctly identified, your class will gain 50 bonus points. But for each one you guessed wrong, you'll lose 50 bonus points. High risk, high return." This made the class excited over the leader identification and the bonus gains. "Now here's a tip regarding the class leaders, you can search for the other class leaders and make efforts to hide yours." And with that, the briefing is concluded with Ayanokouji and an uneasy Horikita listening to the whole thing attentively.
(End Flashback)
"Spots are important to claim but moving too hastily to secure them will reveal your identity as the class leader to others." Ayanokouji thought as Sakura went to step out to check the cave but he sensed something, grabbed her and pulled her into a bush beside them while Kouenji leap to another tree slightly further away but visible enough to see the cave as from there, Katsuragi emerged as he looked around a bit. Even so, a green keycard is on his right hand as Ayanokouji took notice of it while cupping Sakura to keep her quiet.
Just then, Yahiko came out. "Man we're so lucky Katsuragi-san. Securing this spot early is something."
"Lucky? No it's not luck. It's the fact that I had my eye on this spot since before we made landfall. It was inevitable that we found it." Katsuragi stated. "Also, be careful of your actions and words."
"R-Right! We may end up spilling the beans that relates to this exam."
"Exactly. And we don't know who, when or where others might be listening. Therefore, take care to avoid even the slightest mistake." Katsuragi added as he showed the card to Yahiko. "As the leader, I have the responsibility to not only manage you but to look after you."
"Understood Katsuragi-san."
"Now before we docked, the cruise ship sailed one lap around the island from a distance. It was actually a hint."
"A hint? Is it through the scenery that was announced?"
"You are correct Yahiko. From the deck of the ship, I saw paths that cut through the forest. After that, it's the matter of finding the shortest route. In other words, the school is tipping us on how we can navigate around the island, where the spots are located and these hints play a part for this special exam."
"Wow! You could see through the school's intentions! As expected of you!" Yahiko praised his leader for that. "Even Sakayanagi won't have much to say about this, will she?" That's when he's stopped by him. "Quiet down Yahiko. I sense something odd and I need to check something over there. Keep watch while I do that."
"Uh okay." So with that, Katsuragi walked out to the forest. Inside, he looked around and even checked a few bushes near him. He searched up also looking around at the branches. "Um...did you find anything?"
"No. But let's go. We shouldn't stay here too long."
"Wakarimashita." Yahiko replied as they went back inside the cave.
With that, "That was close call. He could have walked to his left and right and search deeper but he ended up not seeing the glass half-full during his search." Ayanokouji thought and, "Sorry about that Sakura." He let go as Kouenji descended down. "Did you see anything interesting?"
"Perhaps." And then, a flustered Sakura collapsed and squirmed from what she experienced. "Is she okay?"
"Ha! She's just feeling a little heated. She'll recover." Kouenji assured. They waited until Sakura was able to stand up and with that, they went to the cave and entered inside while Kouenji stayed outside to keep watch. There, they found a terminal with Class A claiming it already. "Ne Ayanokouji-kun. Does this mean the guy holding the card was their leader? If he is, we might have acquired an incredible secret! Right?"
"Maybe. I'll report to Hirata about this. Now let's get out of there before Class A sees us." Ayanokouji suggested as he and his classmates left. They soon regrouped with the others shortly and just in time as Yousuke made an annoucement, "Minna! I just got some good news! Ike and his team found a spot at the head of the river! Let's meet up with them right now!"
At the spot...
Ike presented the spot to the whole class as they looked and wandered around. "The water looks so clear!" Karuizawa exclaimed as the class cheered seeing that this spot is ideal for their base camp. "Thanks for finding this spot Ike-kun. You're amazing man!" Yousuke thanked him. "I know right!" He replied as the class continued admiring the area, Ayanokouji then found a terminal similar to the one he saw at the cave. "Only the leader of the class can claim it..."
And with that, Yousuke gathered the class. "Assuming that we want to use this spot as our base camp, the problem is whether to claim it or not."
"We should right?" Ike spoke up. "If we do that, we can use the river and gain points every 8 hours!"
"Agreed. But that also means that the leader needs to renew the ownership every 8 hours." Yousuke stated. "That's right! And if another class sees that...we'll be at a disadvantage in this exam." said Karuizawa. "Can't we just, like, surround the leader while he or she do it?" Yamauchi suggested. "Not a bad idea Yamauchi. What do you guys think?" Yousuke asked and many agree so with that, "Alright, who wants to be the leader?"
Everyone started discussing on who should be the leader when, "Hey guys, may I say something?" Kikyo asked and in seconds, all gathered in a circle to hear her out. "I've been thinking about it ever since we found this spot. People like Hirata-kun and Karuizawa-san would stand out, even if they don't mean it. But if we're to entrust the role to someone, they need to be someone responsible, right?" Everyone listened on as, "I think the only person who meets both requirements...

...
...
"Is Horikita-san."
Upon the mention, she was greatly surprised. Even Ayanokouji had the same reaction as her. But still, Yousuke agreed with Kikyo's statement and asked her about it. She was unsure at first until, "If she doesn't want to do it, then I'll do it." Sudou volunteered. But immediately, "Fine, I'll do it."
So with that, Sudou ran back to the teachers to inform them about Horikita taking the position as Class D's leader. After that, she got her green card ready and taps onto the terminal possessing the river spot with Yousuke and Kikyo on her left and right while Miyamoto, Okitani, Sotomura, Kayano, Hondou and Yukimura formed a circle to conceal their actions.
Once done, "Okay! That should the bathing and drinking water problem right?" Ike asked as Yousuke and Karuizawa examined the river.
"It does look drinkable..." Yousuke analyzed. "Are you sure it's okay to drink water from the river?" Karuizawa asked as Shinohara and Haruka joined in. "What's the matter? We found an actual river! There's no way we're not gonna use it right?" Ike asked. "What? You believe it's safe to drink from the river? Use your head! What if parts of it are contaminated?" Shinohara asked with a frown on her face and the next thing it happened, the 2 of them began arguing but it was cut short by Yousuke. "We still have time. There's no need to rush things such as this." Good thing Shinohara listened to him and with that, they went to settle others while Ike just looked at the river while feeling down.
Noticing this, "Ike, are you familiar with the outdoors?" Ayanokouji asked while approaching him. "I used to go camping with my family when I was little." Ike replied as he cupped some water from the river. "I have no problem with drinking water." He then drank it. "Ah...you can tell a spring's purity by just looking at it."
"Omoshiroi." Ayanokouji knelt down, cupped his hands in the river and drank the water. "Mmmm...it's kinda refreshing...never thought you got game on this. It's also gonna benefit our class since you got the outdoor experience."
"Thanks." Ike felt much better from the compliment as they went to help their class set up the base camp.
A while later, the campground is nearly down, the ground is cleared for open space, a fire pit is made and the tents are almost set up. "Ah Ayanokouji, can I have a moment with you?"
"Yeah. Anything you need Hirata?"
"I'd like you to find some branches we can use for a campfire before it gets dark."
"Wakata. I'll find some right now."
"Thanks and it's too dangerous to go alone. Get one or 2 people to assist you!"
"Sure thing." Ayanokouji then dumped some leaves on a pile as, "Despite being the class's central figure, he has to rely on you. It's pathetic isn't it?" Horikita stated. "Then why don't you help out, "leader"?"
"There's nothing I can help with." Horikita replied as she stood up. "Although if an enemy or an objective appears, I'll be happy to help." She then went inside the girls' tent to rest and it's already set up. "Hey...at least help me get some branches..." Ayanokouji sighed about it as he looked forward and surprising, Sakura and Yamauchi read through on what he needs.
At the forest, the 3 students looked around for branches to pick as firewood. So far, there's good progress as Yamauchi approached Ayanokouji. "You know, I think I may go for Sakura. Since Kushida's out of my league and her new look is so fascinating, so enchanting and so alluring."
"Oh come on..." He sighed as Yamauchi continued on, "With a girl like Sakura, if I can play the kind, caring guy, I bet she'll fall for me."
"Is that why you came along with this?"
"No but at least, I opened up to you about it. Don't worry it's personal between us okay?"
"Man break a leg..." Ayanokouj thought to himself as they continued gathering more branches.
The sun is in the midst of setting as the trio finally gathered enough branches for the campfire. As they walked back to camp, "Hey Sakura. Can I help you carry those? It must be rough for a girl like you."
"Oh...uh...I'll be okay. I'm strong enough to carry them. But if I'm tiring out, I'll consider your help."
"Understood." Yamauchi smiled believing he had a good start. "Sakura sure is doing her best to improve herself. Consider me impressed with her effort." Ayanokouji thought when the trio caught of something. No, someone.
Sitting by a tree is none other than Ibuki. She had a few scratches on her right arm as it held onto her backpack and a bruise on her face. Plus, she noticed them. "Hey! What happened to you?" Yamauchi went to check on her but Ayanokouji stopped him by pulling him back. "Wh-What the heck man?"
"Oh...nothing. Just give me your load and check on her."
"Well why didn't you say so?" So with that, Yamauchi went to check on Ibuki. "Hey...are feeling okay?"
"Leave me alone. It's nothing."
"Gee...that must hurt though..." Sakura exclaimed referring to the bruise. "You're Ibuki of Class C aren't you? Did something happen between you and your classmates?" Ayanokouji asked. She said nothing about it. "We're from Class D. You can come to our base camp if you want to." Yamauchi offered. "Yeah. You can't just lie here and do nothing." Sakura added. "Didn't you hear him? I'm from Class C." Ibuki replied making reference to Ayanokouji's statement. "That means I'm your enemy!"
"But we can't leave you all alone!" Yamauchi exclaimed. "Tell you what. We'll stay with you until you can walk again."
"Sheesh are you really stupid? You're being too trusting." Ibuki exclaimed as she stood up. "That would be unthinkable in my class." But still, she did choose to go with them as Yamauchi gave the thumbs up to Ayanokouji and Sakura.
Back at camp...
"You can't start a fire with only branches." Ike told the class as he took 5 logs and arranged them in way that the logs stand and lean forward onto each other above the branches. "But if we do it like this, it will do just fine." Yamauchi, Sakura, Ayanokouji, Yukimura and Sotomura observed attentively while behind the class, Ibuki isolated herself by sitting on a rock and looking away. Ike then lighted a match, set the branches on fire and threw the lighted match into it. The fire burned and grew bigger amazing everyone. "And there we have it!"
"Wow you know your stuff when it comes to camping!" Sudou complimented him. "That's the most basic of the basics. Just learn that and anyone can do it!" Ike replied. "That's really cool!" Yamauchi exlcaimed when, "Hey we're back!" All looked to see Kikyo, Haruka, Satou and Shinohara return to camp. The 4 girls also brought with them fruits as they placed them all on a mat. "You think this one's edible?" Kikyo asked picking a fruit up. "Who knows?" Shinohara exclaimed when, "Whoa! Those are bog bilberries! Did you find them Kikyo-chan? That's amazing!" Ike cheered. "So Kanji-kun, do you know what these are?" Kikyo asked pointing at another fruit. "Those are figs! They're really sweet and delicious! Man, this takes me back on those good old days!" Ike then got to work and examined all the fruits naming them and pointing out which are the edible and non-poisonous ones.
Because of this, "Sugoi Ike-kun." Karuizawa exclaimed. "So you know all about this? That's really reassuring." Yousuke exclamed. "Remember that Ike started the campfire." Ayanokouji added and the next thing it happened, the whole class praised Ike for his camping experience that really benefited the special exam. He really didn't expect that but he also stood up and surprised everyone with his next words. "Karuizawa...Shinohara...I'm sorry for earlier if I had unintetionally offended you two."
"Huh? Where did that come from?" A surprised Karuizawa asked. "I remembered that the first time I went camping, going to the bathroom was difficult and I complained to my parents a lot. It must be even harder for girls huh?"
"He can grasp the situation himself and remain calm? He's twice the man than me and I guess he's not an idiot as it seems." Ayanokouji thought nodding his head to himself.
"Well...I'm sorry too. I mean, we need to work something out or else we'll run out of points right?" Karuizawa replied back to Ike but Shinohara looked away. "Why did you apologize..."
"Eh Shinohara? You okay?" Ike took noticed of her behaviour. "Why did you apologize when we're suppose to only? The fact that you had camping experience which helped a lot for this class...I'm ashamed of myself for complaining about it and slandering you for nothing."
"Shinohara-san. It's alright, I forgive you." Ike sure surprised her greatly. "If ever, I can teach you everything I know about camping and outdoors. Step by step and you can master them!" Shinohara never felt moved by his words. "Arigato Ike-kun! And once again, I apologize."
"No problem! It's all good!" They shook hands with smiles as Karuizawa smirked to herself about this interaction. Seeing this, "Minna, can I say something?" Yousuke got everyone's attention. "I'd like us to rely on each other as much as we can until the special exam is over. By the time it ends, I want us to have at least 120 S-points left out of 300."
"So you're saying you want to spend some of the points?" Yukimura asked as Yousuke took out the manual and run down some explanations to the class. "What do you think?" Ayanokouji asked. "It's realistic." Horikita replied. "I was also counting the same number sin my head."
"Did you tell Hirata?"
"Masaka. Stop joking around." She replied as Yousuke concluded the explanations with the class agreeing to give it a shot. "I guess I can't oppose you with anything regarding this." Yukimura spoke up. "Well for the girls, they finally got what they wanted. You did say a regular toilet costs only 20 S-points so I have nothing to oppose. As long as we preserve the points and try not to spend too many at least, we'll definitely survive this special exam."
"Thanks for understanding." Yousuke thanked him as a bit further, Kouenji smirked in satisfaction as Ayanokouji approached him. "What do you think?"
"I think I'm not required for this. The class can already handle it"
"So you're saying you want to drop out straight away?" Ayanokouji asked surprising him. "Oh you figured it out."
"Yeah and may I suggest that you at least stay with us all the way? Dropping out now will ruin your reputation as the perfect existence. Even the girls won't date you for that."
"Ha! So what do you have in mind?" Kouenji asked listening to him. "Simple. Just stay with us all the way, you can do what you like and I'll make sure Hirata lets you be unless some serious help is required."
"Hmmm...oh well then. I guess I'll hang around until the exam blows."
"Thanks Kouenji."
That night...
Ibuki is still on the same spot without budging at all when Ayanokouji approached her. "Sorry about this. Just wait a little longer for Hirata and the others are still discussing about you." It cuts to him with Ike, Yamauchi, Karuizawa, Akito and Ijuin.
"You don't have to force yourself." Ibuki replied. "I'll be kicked out soon enough."
"I don't know about that. We have a lot of trusting types." Ayanokouji replied when Kikyo approached her with some food. At first, Ibuki refused but Kikyo insisted when all of a sudden, a loud scream was heard and, "Eh? It sounded like Mii-chan." Kikyo recognized and it's followed by several more screams from the girls. Ayanokouji went to investigate as, "What just happened?"

It cuts to Kouenji pissing on a tree. Feeling relived, "Ah...the moon is beautiful tonight." He exclaimed as he looked up at the night sky. Yes the moon truly is beautiful!
So here, Kouenji will not retire, he'll just stay and slack off unless he's needed to help out and that is why the ending is unexpectedly hilarious to the guys and horrifying to the girls. LOL. Not to mention his involvement with Ayanokouji and Sakura regarding the cave they found.
Now Ike and Shinohara have just established a bond and it'll be something between them. This is just the beginning of the many character developments that I've planned on many of the students in Class D.
