Season 3 Episode 2

KurachaSenpai: Thank you

During one of those days, Ayanokouji's group is in the midst of some mountain trekking. They even passed by a sign that warns them to avoid wild boars.

Now, they're catching their breath as, "Oi Kouenji! What are you doing up there?!" Ishizaki called out as Albert stood beside him, Yahiko is bending down a bit to catch his breath and Hashimoto is looking behind and out for the other members.

"More like...how did he...get up there?!" Yahiko brought up.

"Point taken." said Albert as it cuts to a high cliff where Kouenji is standing tall and proud.

"I guess a man who stands on top of others like me deserves to be on this high ground." He boasted and looked down for a moment. He then laughed and jumped off the cliff!

"What the fricking hell is he doing?!" Ishizaki asked shaking his head.

"Such a bold jump..." Hashimoto thought.

"Dammit. I better call him back asap or-" Yukimura suddenly felt a sharp jolt on his leg when he tried to walk and fell with one knee on the ground.

"You got a sore leg or a twisted ankle?" Ayanokouji asked as Yukimura is clutching his right foot as, "We're on a 9km one-way trip on an unfamiliar mountain road and you're just slowing us down! You call yourself a group leader in charge?" Ishizaki asked as Yukimura cringed from it. "So sorry, we don't want any of us to get involved."

He and Albert advanced on with Yahiko tailing behind them. "Why did I even take on this role..." A discouraged Yukimura asked himself when Hashimoto helped him up. "Come on, hold tight to me. I'll lend you my shoulder."

"Then I'll go get Kouenji." said Ayanokouji.

"But you guys will fall behind too!" said Yukimura as Hashimoto got him to rest on his shoulder. "If your leg hurts too badly, we'll be the ones who get in trouble on the exam." He told him as he faced Ayanokouji. "Ain't that right Ayanokouji?" He even gave him a wink as a sign of trust for him though his poker face remains unchanged.

"Sorry...both of you..." Yukimura apologized quietly as they split up.

Later on, Ayanokouji found Kouenji on one knee doing something on 2 dead wild boars. "What are you doing Kouenji?"

He took notice of him in an instant and stood up. "Well you came at the right timing Ayanokouji boy. As you can see, I played with 2 wild boars."

"And they're dead cadavers now." Ayanokouji stated.

"Ha! Ha! You really don't need to worry about me. I'll be back later or maybe you need something from me?" Kouenji asked.

"It's about the day of the exam. I need your help with our group." Ayanokouji answered.

"Hmpf! I'm tired of hearing those words but it's not up to you to decide. After all, I did enough for you did I?" Kouenji asked as he went to lift one of the dead boars. "It's me who decides it."

That's when Ayanokouji went to grip on his arm and he stopped when he felt it. He then smirked about it as, "Naruhoto."

"What's that suppose to me?" He asked while still gripping on him.

"The identity of the person who made Dragon Boy quiet and stay at the background I mean." Kouneji answered and he said nothing as he continued on. "You seem to be very good at playing dumb Ayanokouji boy but I can tell by the amount of power and strength that flows through your arm when you grip onto me.

"Sorry. You got it all wrong."

"Then tell me, was your grip strength for real or you're just holding back?" Kouenji asked bringing up some past moments. He said nothing again. "Ah rest assure, I have no intention of revealing your secret. Regardless, help me carry the other wild boar back to camp and I will do as you please like in the past 2 special exams."

That was enough for him to let go as he went to the other wild boar, lifted it up and the 2 students headed back to regroup with the others.

"He's the kind of man for whom anyone can't move him so easily otherwise." Ayanokouji thought.

A while later, they met up with the rest down the mountain as, "What the? What were you guys doing and thinking?!" Ishizaki asked.

"You both are pretty strong enough to carry those cadavers. Consider me impressed." said Hashimoto.

"Meat is good. I love meat." said Albert.

"At least he was able to get him..." Yukimura thought in relief as, "So what will you guys do with them?" Yahiko asked.

"Dinner tonight will be hearty and meaty! Wait and see!" Kouenji answered with a laugh as they headed back to the campsite together.

So that night...

"Delicious! What is this meat!? It's so tender..." Sudou sure loves to eat meat as, "From what I've heard, someone jumped into the forest and got this wild boar meat. But not one, but two!" Yousuke revealed.

"Huh? Is this some wild game cuisine?" Ike asked. "But who could possibly catch and kill a wild boar?" Yamauchi asked. "I don't care about that! I'm so damn hyped to eat it now!" Sudou started chowing down as the rest ate with him. During the conversation before the feasting, Ayanokouji on the other hand caught sight of a second-year student with waist-length chocolate-brown hair placing her tray and cutlery at the return area and took her leave but not before he notice some accessory drop on the floor. He even recalled seeing it on the first day.

Outside, the girl is sitting by when, "Sumimasen. Did you happen to drop this?" She looked to her left to see Ayanokouji holding onto the accessory that was dropped just down.

"Ah! You're right! It belongs to me! Arigato!" The girl thanked him as he handed it to her. "I almost lost it and I didn't expect you to pick it up. Oh! I'm Asahina Nazuma! And you must be Ayanokouji Kiyotaka! Am I right?"

"If so, how much do you know about me?" He asked.

"During the Sports Festival, you stood out when challenging Horikita-senpai in the class relay and beat him for the first place position." She answered and also thought of this. "Miyabi...Oh! Maybe you don't know but SCP Nagumo also has your attention ever since the event." Plus, she winked at him though he didn't pay attention to that.

"Aside from being as fast as a cheetah, I'm just a nobody." Ayanokouji told her. "So how can I get Nagumo to stop paying attention to me?"

She thought a bit. "How about you beat him in a challenge? Not the current one but in the future if there's one. As for me, I'd love to see him lose for once to the point he pisses on his pants in defeat and humiliation."

"So Kiriyama-senpai is not the only one against Nagumo." Ayanokouji thought and with that, "That might be one option." But unexpectedly, she burst out laughing. "Oh come on! I was just joking!" She told him while lightly smacking him on the chest with her hand though he didn't care about it.

"So will it be trouble if Nagumo is defeated?" He asked.

"What? Are you serious about what you just said?" She asked.

"Unlike the other 2nd years, you're one of the few that don't seem to be enthralled by Nagumo." He replied.

"That's cheeky of you. But I do have a pretty deep relationship with Miyabi after all." She replied back as he stared at her. Noticing his stoic stare, "All right. As a thank you for returning my charm, I'll answer any question you want to ask."

"Thank you for your kindness. Now what I want to ask...

...

...

...

...

...

"Is when the girls decide their group."

Bedtime...

"Yo Ishizaki, you awake? If you are, can I have a word with you?" Hashimoto asked and it reveals the 9 boys all in bed in their bunk.

"Nah...I just wanna sleep..." He replied.

"We only have 2 days left until the big exam. If things continue like this, we're in grave danger." Hashimoto told him.

"Shut up...I don't care if someone gets expelled or not..." Ishizaki replied.

He sighed from his words and spoke on. "You know, I played soccer in elementary and junior high."

"Huh? What topic are you talking about now?" Ishizaki asked him.

Seeing that he's awake and attentive, Hashimoto spoke his story. "My school was a prestigious school that competed nationally every year. I wasn't the ace player of the team but I played in most games pretty well."

"What, now you're bragging or something?" Ishizaki asked while still being annoyed but just by a bit.

"But while everyone was working together to make it to the nationals, there was a part of me that just observed them coldly. And I knew I didn't belong there." Hashimoto spoke on.

"Omoshiroi..." Ayanokouji thought and he's sleeping and eavesdropping at the same time.

"But you're not part of the soccer team now, are you?" Yahiko asked and he just woke up from hearing their conversation. "I know for sure, you're in the tennis club in this school and what were you when you were in the soccer team back at your old school?"

"Midfielder." Hashimoto answered.

"That explains why you're not the ace player. Usually, the ace players are the ones that kick the goal into the goalposts and score the points. They were the strikers for the teams they play in." Yahiko stated.

"We know that obviously." Ishizaki exclaimed to him.

"Yahiko is right about what he said about me and about soccer." Hashimoto told him as he continued his story. "There was a time when I secretly smoked some cigarettes."

"That's crazy! But did they find out about your habit and kicked you out of the club for that?" Yahiko asked.

"Nah. I hid my smoking habit well." He replied. "But I always feel a sense of alienation. That's why I quit soccer. But sometimes I regret my decision. When I look at the other members of the soccer team, I think, "I could have been there too."

And now, Yukimura appeared to have listened to the whole story as, "What about you guys? What was your past like?" Hashimoto asked.

"Huh? Me? I ain't got anything to say..." Ishizaki replied not caring much.

However, "Ever since I was little, all I ever did was study. I was never good at all kinds of sports and I thought it was pointless and inconsequential to develop my athletic ability in the first place." Yukimura has started his story as those awake are all ears.

"So that's why you're an expert in the academics huh?" Hashimoto asked.

"Yes. With my academic ability, I believed I was worthy of being in Class A. But instead, I was placed in Class D and I couldn't accept it. Even though we ranked up to Class C, I still couldn't accept it." Yukimura spoke on. "But I realized that Sudou, who was my opposite, was much more useful to the class than I was. He was even able to improve on his academics bit by bit."

"What? I didn't expect this red-haired punk to improve on himself..." Ishizaki thought and cringed a bit remembering the big fight he, Komiya and Reo got involved to purposely set him up back at the first term.

"And now...just like back at the Deserted Island Exam and during the Sports Festival, I...I...I still feel so useless...and...and...completely humiliated!" Yukimura ended his story and already, he wet his pillow with his tears. "I'm sorry...Ishizaki. I should be...setting an example...but I'm in this state of self-depression and doubt..."

At that moment, he sat upon hearing his apology. Still annoyed, "Stop screwing around. Why are you apologizing?" He then went back to sleep but continuing talking. "Well...it pissed me off to be ordered by you. I mean, you're the one who agreed to be the representative of the group when no one else is willing to."

This surprised Yukimura as Hashimoto stated this. "This group of rascals isn't as bad as I thought it would be."

"Hey who's the rascal?!" Ishizaki asked in annoyance as Yahiko chuckled to himself in amusement. The rest who appeared to be at first asleep also chuckled about it. Even Ayanokouji smiled in his sleep and likewise, Albert. "Family." He spoke to himself and his sunglasses can be seen beside his bed. New and modern it is.

The next day...

The boys started off with some spring cleaning outside their bunk. Some are sweeping the ground, others are polishing the walls, Kouenji is being himself and Yukimura is still struggling with his sore leg while trying to work and not fall behind as a burden as he filled a pail with water and tried to lift it up but felt the pain.

Just then, Ishizaki made his move and went to take it. "You should take a rest."

"But-"

"It would be troublesome if you're not able to run on the day of the exam." Ishizaki added. "For that, the written exam is left to you. Get the full score if you can!"

Yukimura was amazed at his words as, "Ha! Ha! Quiet prudent of you Delinquent Boy." Kouenji commended him.

"You kidding me with that name?! Shut your mouth or I'll kill you Kouenji!" Ishizaki threatened but he just laughed about it.

And then, "Minna. About tomorrow's long-distance relay, I have a strategy for it so I need you guys to hear me out." Yukimura called out as all stopped working.

"Strategy? What do you have in mind?" Hashimoto asked as all gathered before him including Kouenji.

"In the long-distance relay, the minimum mileage for each group member is set. But as long as you stick to it, there's no probability against any particular student running the extra mile." Yukimura explained.

"So you want those who are good at running to run the longest distance as much as possible?" Yahiko asked.

"Yes! Of course it'll be those mountain roads. Tough tracks they are..." He replied to him.

"Sure, I'll run including your part!" Ishizaki declared.

"Nice! I'm in as well! After all, I'm good at long distances." Hashimoto also declared.

"Obviously since you played soccer before and did a lot of running as a midfielder." Yahiko stated.

"Ha! Ha! Where did that come from?" He replied chuckling to himself as he pat Yahiko on the shoulder surprising him.

"Thank you guys!" Yukimura thanked those that will volunteer the extra mile running.

"By the way, how about we ask Albert too?" Yahiko suggested.

"Ah, the big guy is reasonably fast but his stamina might be the problem." Ishizaki told him.

"Sorry." Albert apologized as, "It's okay. I believe you can do it." Ayanokouji told him.

"Thanks bro. You're the best." Albert replied as they fist bump each other. Ayanokouji then turned to Yukimura. "I'll also try to do what I can do."

"Is that okay Kiyotaka?"

"Just don't expect too much from me Keisei." He replied and he smiled about it.

"Well then, I'll be the one to finish up the rest of the miles!" Kouenji declared to the group.

"Wow...that was convincing enough." Hashimoto thought as he told the group. "That strategy might work if you ask me."

"It might also be a 'take it or leave it' situation." Yukimura added.

"Ah it must be hard to be a representative right?" Yahiko asked as they laughed together like bros except for Ayanokouji and Albert as they just smiled about it.

With the exam plan settled, they resumed their duties. And then, "Um...Hashimoto?"

"What is it now Yahiko?"

"Um...about what I said on the first day...well, I take it back."

"Ha? Where did that come from again? I mean, you're starting to open up to me and stuff." Hashimoto stopped for a moment as he and Yahiko talked a bit more.

"After hearing your story yesterday, I kinda...felt like...I didn't expect your side of the story..." He told him.

"It's okay to be honest and I can understand what you're feeling now about me. For now, let's do our best on the day of the exam. That way, we can earn each other's trust." Hashimoto told him.

"Agreed." Yahiko then offered his hand and a handshake took effect. "I must admit, we may be in different factions but this is something entirely new between us."

"I know right? Though if only Katsuragi would humbly let Princess do all the leadership. His methods are useful but he really can't just hold position and defend our class standing all the time." Hashimoto stated.

"He only wants to keep our class out of trouble while maintaining our standing. Though I support his strategy, I also feel like he really needs to take action when necessary. Something that I can see in Sakayanagi though I fear that going all out too much would expose any weakness and we're screwed." Yahiko also stated and sighed a bit. "Ah...those 2 really must find a way to merge their leadership qualities into something without trying to dominate each other."

"Exactly! And in doing so, our class will achieve the unity that we lack! Ha! Ha!" Both Class A boys shared a laugh when, "Hey what's so funny between the 2 of you?" Ishizaki asked as all stared at them.

"Nothing." They replied and resumed the cleaning together.

Later on...

Activity day is over and interestingly, Ayanokouji's group completed their tasks early without a single error so with that, they have the rest of the afternoon for themselves. "Yukimura, do you have any plans?"

"I got nothing Kiyotaka. What is it that you want with me?"

"Meet me at the campgrounds. Albert will be there."

It now cuts to the campgrounds which is the same one Haruka and Ibuki swept the area. "You got them Albert?"

"Right here." He pointed at a small duffel bag as he went to open it. "Boxing gloves and punch pads?" Yukimura asked.

"After dinner every night and before going to the onsen, Albert and I will come here and do some training for half an hour." Ayanokouji told him.

"You...You want to train me?" Yukimura asked.

"A good start for you to improve on your fitness." He replied.

"Get in position. We do it together." Albert added. "And don't move your feet so much."

Yukimura had doubts at first but listened as Ayanokouji got him into position and taught him some basic boxing moves. Yukimura followed along as they spent the first 10 minutes doing shadow boxing.

"Okay, next thing. Punch those pads with your own strength." Ayanokouji ordered and Albert has them worn on his hands and in position.

"Okay..." Yukimura got into position and delivered 2 jabs. "Too soft." Albert told him.

"Lean back a bit and exert some strength and force on your fist like this." Ayanokouji demonstrated it as his fist hit the pad hard enough for Albert to feel the impact. "Now you try again."

"Man...I can't believe I'm doing this..." Yukimura did as told. "Still too soft." Albert told him. And he tried again for a few times until, "KSH! KSH!"

"Felt a bit of it." Albert told Ayanokouji. "You're getting there. Keep hitting." He told Yukimura as he took a deep breath and once ready, "KSH! KSH! KSH! KSH! KSH! KSH!"

"Some effort out there." Albert told Ayanokouji and he nodded. "Not bad Keisei. You can rest now. Albert and I will use the remaining time for our training."

"Alright. If you don't mind, can I watch until you guys are done?" Yukimura asked. They nodded as he went sit on the ground. "At least my sore leg didn't act up." He thought and observed their training for the 2 boys are now wearing boxing gloves and sparring a bit with jabs and crosses.

Around evening, Ayanokouji made his way to the cafeteria to have his dinner. Along the way, he saw Karuizawa, Shinohara, Chiaki and Mii-chan hanging around for a discussion about their groups.

"Say Mii-chan, you're the only one from our class in Ichinose-san's group right?"

As Ayanokouji passed by the girls, Karuizawa felt his presence and behind, she has a note in her hands and with swift succession, managed to slip it in his hands. "Good job Karuizawa." Ayanokouji thought as he kept the note.

Now back to the girls, "So far, I'm able to get along with all the girls. We even talked about boys yesterday night." Mii-chan told her classmates.

"Really?" Chiaki asked.

"Yeah! One of them mentioned on the first night, they had a mini-competition and from what they've heard, Ayanokouji-kun won the competition and is labelled a T-Rex." Mii-chan revealed.

"T-Rex? Why is he labelled that?" Shinohara asked.

"Beats me. But Honami-chan felt extremely flustered that she hid in her mattress shaking nervously when I told the girls that I saw her with him go to the movies during the cruise trip." She revealed some more. "In truth regarding our discussion about the boys, all of us do not know what T-Rex means for him."

"Yeah I can agree with you." said Karuizawa as the girls headed to the cafeteria for dinner.

"Say Mii-chan, is it true that you saw him and Ichinose-san hanging out together?" Shinohara asked.

"Mochiron!" She replied.

"How intriguing. Many in our batch talk about the closeness of these 2." Chiaki stated.

Later on, at some gate-like structure, Ayanokouji found Tachibana sobbing quietly to herself. "Why are you crying at a place like this?"

"I-I'm not crying!" She denied as she stood up.

"Worried about tomorrow's exam?" He asked.

She was silent for a second. Then, she told him her answer. "Manabu-kun is the one I'm worried about."

"Is there anything to worry about when it comes to your boyfriend?" Ayanokouji asked.

"Well...Manabu-kun...has been fighting alone for a long time." Tachibana answered. "Because we were just being a burden, he always sacrificed himself to protect his friends and maintain our class standing. Even now, he's carrying on the match against Nagumo all by himself." She then started tearing up again. "We can't be of any help to him."

"Are you sure you're not in some kind of trouble right now?" Ayanokouji asked.

"Gee you're so persistent aren't you?" A slightly annoyed Tachibana asked as she wiped off her tears. "It's nothing okay? Please forget about it and don't tell Manabu-kun about this." She then left the area as he watched.

That night...

The boys are in bed with Ishizaki snoring a bit too loud but everyone could care less. However, "His snoring is enough to wake me up. I need to be there." Hashimoto thought and since he's awake, he looked around a bit in the room. Convinced that everyone is fast asleep, he quietly got up and left the room but right after he checked one more time.

However, Ayanokouji woke up seconds later and stealthy tailed on him.

Outside, he hid by a tree and observed a pavilion. It is there that, "Hashimoto...why are you with Ryuuen?" He then noticed 2 more figures approaching them as Ryuuen went to speak to them. "Horikita and Nagumo?" He noticed as they talked with Ryuuen.

As expected, I can't tell what they're talking about from here

Last Day of the Mixed Training Camp...

There are 4 exams that will be held. First is the Meditation Exam

It cuts to the room where Ayanokouji's group and another group are in the midst of the meditation as Mashima-sensei supervised the exam.

Second is the Written Exam. It is there that Yukimura showed his full potential

It cuts to a classroom as everyone went through the exam with some struggling a bit like Ishizaki.

Third is the Speech Exam which went well

And it shows Ayanokouji taking a bow after he delivered his speech to the whole audience of students.

However, the most important exam will be the long distance relay. In which the difference in ranking will make a big difference.

It then cuts to the starting line as Makoto Sumida who's the boy with short, light brown hair and with a round face is the first in the group to run. When the whistle blows, "Let's go!" He thought and he started the run. He may be a bit chubby but never wavers down at least.

A while later, Susumu Moriyama who's the boy with glasses and black hair in which the sides and back are shaved leaving only the top with hair is in the midst of his run. "Keep running...keeping running!" He thought to himself as he pressed on.

Soon enough, Yahiko is doing his run as, "There he is!" He thought as, "Hashimoto!"

"Great job Yahiko!" He called out as he passed the sash to him. Wearing it now, Hashimoto sped off.

The group is doing good so far as Hashimoto is nearly done with his run and soon saw him waiting. "Albert!"

"About time..." He thought as the sash is passed to him and he's on the move. Down the hill, Albert ran with big and heavy steps and with great speed surprising many who are running. "Oh yeah! I'm a well-oiled machine running non-stop till reach my goal!" He thought to himself and soon enough, he can see Ishizaki waiting for him.

Sunset is approaching as Ishizaki ran with all his energy. At the designated point, Yukimura is waiting while still having second doubts about his sore leg still not fully healed when, "Yukimura! I've ran with everything I got! Now show me your guts and give it all you got!" Ishizaki then passed the sash to him as he took it and started his run at the same time.

Watching him run, "Finally...I can ease myself." Ishizaki then lay on the ground to rest while taking deep breaths. "I can also see the bright light..."

Some time later, Yukimura is doing good in his run as at another point, Ayanokouji is waiting as one student passed his sash to the other as he made a run for it. And then, he saw Yukimura and likewise, he saw him. "Finally...I can finish this!" Yukimura increased his speed as he ran closer to Ayanokouji with his eyes dimming a bit but soon enough, "Yoku yatta. Leave the rest to me my friend."

Ayanokouji then sped off and during the run, he overtook some student by surprise as expected ever since the class relay where his performance left everyone astonished.

At the last point, Kouenji and Sudou are waiting for their teammates while exchanging glances a bit. And then, Ayanokouji sped in as Kouenji smirked in satisfaction. "And now, let's work up a light sweat, shall we?"

"No thanks. I can't beat you in a race like this." Sudou replied.

"A wise statement." He replied as Ayanokouji passed the sash to him and with that, Kouneji sped off finishing the entire relay for the group.

Aftermath...

By the end of the day, everyone finished the 4 exams as Mashima-sensei made some announcements and all are gathered before him at the campgrounds and in their school uniforms. "You've all done your best at this camp for the past 8 days. The average score is above that of the previous years. All groups of boys have their scores above the borderline. Thus, there are no expulsions for the boys."

The boys are all relived especially Ayanokouji and his group. "Just like what we aimed for at the beginning! You really nailed your part!" Ishizaki told Yukimura and he has his hand on his shoulder.

"Thanks Ishizaki." He thanked him as, "Family." Albert declared as the boys chuckled a bit. "What about brotherhood?" Moriyama asked.

"That also works well." Albert replied as Yahiko and Hashimoto fist bump each other and then, Yahiko noticed Ayanokouji so he went to talk with him. "Um...Ayanokouji...how should I say this? Um..."

"I forgive you."

"Wait what?"

"Seeing you bond with Hashimoto with mutual trust is something. Even Katsuragi may not expect it but your behaviour during the exam has changed." Ayanokouji told him.

"Thanks...in that case, I'll leave you and Ichinose alone. I won't bother you about this." Yahiko assured to him. "Also, can you relay my apology to her as well?"

"Will do." Ayanokouji and Yahiko then shook hands as the announcements continue on. "And the class that got first place in the overall score was Class 3-A from Horikita Manabu's group." Mashima-sensei announced.

"Yeah you did it Horikita!" A male student with short, buzzcut black hair and with a large and buff body frame named Fujimaki told him as they exchanged smiles about their class victory. Tachibana on the other hand wasn't feeling it.

"As expected. Congrats Horikita-senpai." Nagumo congratulated and applauded him.

"Even though you lost to me Nagumo, but thanks." Manabu thanked him.

"I appreciate it but are you sure about that?" Nagumo asked slyly as both stared at each other for seconds.

"On the other hand, in the girl's group, it is unfortunate that one fell below the borderline." Mashima-sensei continued on with the announcements as Tachibana shivered in fear. "The group is from Class 3B represented by Momoko Ikari."

The girl mentioned is standing beside Nagumo and Manabu was shocked. For once and this made Nagumo laugh in amusement.

"What the? What did you do Nagumo?!" Fujimaki demanded to know.

"Please calm yourself down Fujimaki-senpai. We're in the middle of the results announcments." Nagumo reminded him.

From behind, "Why is Fujimkai-senpai furious?" Yukimura asked. "The person in charge is from Class 3B."

"The problem is not the person in charge. But it's who's going down with her." Ayanokouji revealed.

"Uh-oh. This is bad news." said Sumida as back to them. "I'm sorry Ikari. And as well via the solidarity rule, one student from the group will be expelled. So who will you designate?"

"Isn't it obvious? It's the student who distributed the peace in our group." Ikari answered and pointed out to the student she wants to get expelled with her. "Tachibana Akane!"

Everything is a trap set by Nagumo. His direct confrontation is fake for his target in the beginning was Tachibana-senpai. Based on the info acquired from Asahina-senpai, Nagumo manipulated the girl's group to deliberately make their score below the borderline and create a group just to take down Tachibana. In addition, the promise to not get anyone involved in the challenge he proposed on the first day is also fake.

Back to them, "Akane...why didn't you seek me for my help..." Manabu asked while feeling a bit frustrated.

"B-Because I knew it'll be a burden for you...I'm sorry..." Tachibana started to cry as, "Ah such a romantic relationship." Nagumo described applauding them a bit. "Now tell me, how does it feel to see your girlfriend get expelled? Frustrating isn't it?"

"Why did you dare target my girlfriend?" Manabu asked strictly.

"Because I wanted to see what kind of face you'll make when she's out of your life." Nagumo answered.

"You've lost something rather significant because of your curiosity Nagumo." Manabu stated. "In the student council, I trusted you even though we had different principles."

"I chose to discard what you taught me. You can expel as many people as you need to. That is the way this school should be." Nagumo replied proudly.

Nagumo's malice triumphs. But for Horikita Manabu, Tachibana should not be his necessary pawn

And back to the 2 of them, "You seemed to be sure of the assumption that my girlfriend will be expelled." Manabu stated as he faced the teacher. "Sensei. There is something I would like to purchase with my points."

"No Manabu!" Tachibana wanted to stop him as, "Ehhh...I thought it was 50-50? Are you really going to spit it out? That's a lot of points to save your chick." Nagumo asked with sarcasm.

"Please stop this! This is my responsibility!" Tachibana begged her boyfriend but he ignored her as, "Sumimasen minna." Mamabu apologized to his class.

"Don't sweat it. All of us have saved enough for a worst-case scenario like this." Fujimaki assured to him with the rest of the Class 3A students agreeing with him.

But all of a sudden, "Horikita. That won't be necessary." Mashima-sensei declared.

"Nani?" Both Nagumo and Manabu were confused as, "It is true that via the solidarity rules that the group leader will be expelled along with one of the group members designated by the leader. However..." Mashima-sensei then took out a piece of folded paper from his pocket and unfolded it. "This was mysteriously left to me during the zen meditation exam. I found it on the floor after finishing with some groups. When I unfolded it, it clearly proves everything happening right now."

"Don't tell me..." Nagumo is now shocked for once as Manabu blinked a bit wondering what is going on right now.

"Due to this tip off that a deliberate scheme is in play to purposely set up and expel the student marked for expulsion, I hereby declare that Tachibana will not be expelled because of this! Instead, Ikari will bear the brunt of the expulsion all by herself."

She clenched her teeth a bit and Nagumo still shocked was speechless for a moment. But then, he smirked again as, "You were right. It was after all, your win Horikita-senpai. I guess it's a good thing for you."

"So it seems Nagumo is not the only one that has 2 sides." Ayanokouji thought as the result annoucements have ended.

And later on before departure back to ANHS...

"I don't believe it! How did you pull this off?" Karuizawa asked.

"I simply got some info and anonymously at the right timing planted it." Ayanokouji replied and a flashback took place as after the meditation exam, Ayanokouji slipped out a piece of folded paper letting it drop onto the floor as he and his group left. It was there that Mashima-sensei who's about to prep the room for the next 2 groups noticed it.

"Wow! And by now, this Ikari will be the only one expelled from this exam right?" Karuizawa asked.

"Apparently not. Nagumo's plan may have been interfered but he'll have to suck it up and keep his word so that Ikari won't get expelled. He should have promised her that. Whether his plan succeeds or fails." Ayanokouji explained.

"Could that mean Nagumo-senpai also suffered a huge loss?" She asked.

"The 2nd year is united under him. It is a cheap thing if he collects a portion of the points from each and every one of them." Ayanokouji explained. "In contrast, Horikita Manabu which has to be covered by his own class will take a lot of damage."

"Only if you didn't make that move." Karuizawa replied. "And the way you explained the unity is like a king collecting tribute from his followers."

"Indeed. And I think we should head back now." He replied when, "One more thing, if I were in the same situation, what will I be able to-"

"Karuizawa. I won't let you get expelled." Ayanokouji assured to her. "I'll do everything no matter what it takes."

That left her amazed as they walked down to the ground level where the buses will pick them up and bring them back to school.

And from this point on, the entire school year will be involved, and the number of expulsions from ANHS will continue to rise

After 8 days and 7 nights, the event is finished with unexpected twists between the 2nd and 3rd year students.

Now I heard many commented this. Why is there no T-Rex scene? Because one, if they show the scene, the episode will rated M. And two, it would most likely be inappropriate for the viewers especially those preteen ones. Nevertheless, I've got the idea about Mii-chan explaining a gathering to her classmates regarding her group.

Finally, it appears Yahiko was able to get along with the group even trusting Ayanokouji and Hashimoto. So I'm like, "Huh...I guess he deserves some redemption points." In the end, no more antagonizing. Additionally, the 2 students in Ayanokouji's group are only known by their surnames in the anime. However, their full names are revealed in the wiki. I better remind myself to feature these 2 students in my Class B story which may be on hiatus but I've made some progress in the next chapter of it before putting it on hold.

As always, some changes and stuff involving some secret activity done to foil Nagumo's plan.
