Season 3 Episode 3
I have never thought of myself as a good person or a bad person. From the moment I came into this school, I swore to myself that I will take whatever...came my way head on...
The scene cuts to Honami hanging out with her female friends as they had canned drinks and chat with one another. It was also at the after school hours in which classes had ended. (And that's her POV)
The scene then shifts to the Student Council room. Kamuro is waiting outside as she used her phone to kill time while inside the room, "Hey Sakayanagi."
"What is it, President Nagumo?"
"To be honest, doesn't this student council room make no sense?" Nagumo asked with his back turned and seated on the chair as it shifts left and right a bit. "It could be a karaoke box or an internet cafe or anything, right? The student council is where I am."
"That's a unique point of view." She replied.
"So...if you're not asking to be assigned to the student council, then what's your business here?" Nagumo asked with seriousness and adjusting his chair a bit to face her.
"It's about Ichinose Honami who's a member of this council." She replied.
"Oh? What do you want with her?" He asked.
"From now on, I'll be mounting an attack against her." Sakayanagi declared as Nagumo placed his legs on the table being more attentive now. "In the worst case scenario, she may be expelled from the school so please forgive me."
"You little narcissistic girl. I told you to keep it to the level of bullying, didn't I?" Nagumo asked strictly.
"I was going to be a little rough on her." She replied.
"And that hot chick is my personal property that I plan to cherish." Nagumo stated but also thought of this to himself. "Even though she's been strong enough to avoid my advances..."
"Unpredictable things can always happen." Sakayanagi replied as he smirked in understanding.
"What a bold woman you are. Even though you're still narcissistic."
The next day in class...
"So Karuizawa, you don't have a new boyfriend?" Shinohara asked as she, Chiaki, Mori, Kayano and Mii-chan gathered before her to chat. The others are doing their own things while waiting like Sotomura and Akito chatting with each other, Horikita reading a novel, Haruka and Sakura discussing something, Yukimura talking with Hondou and Ike, Sudou and Yamauchi are just hanging around.
"You know, I think that I should step up for the next. It's easy to be lenient with Yousuke though. I mean, we agreed to break up temporarily because we have to focus on our own internal matters." Karuizawa told the girls as she caught a glimpse of Ayanokouji entering the classroom.
"Sugoi! You're so mature!" Shinohara praised her. "The break up is temporary right? So when will you 2 resume your relationship?"
"That depends on Yousuke's mood." She replied.
As for Ayanokouji, "It's very noisy in the morning." He told Horikita as he took his seat.
"That's because Hirata and Karuizawa broke up with each other. From what I've heard, they broke up during Christmas." She replied.
"Oh yeah..." Ayanokouji did remember the planned double date involving himself, them and Satou. "And the whole class is fidgeting strangely huh?"
"You seem to be good friends with them, didn't you already knew?" Horikita asked.
"How will I know? That's their personal business." Ayanokouji replied when Yousuke showed up, "Yo Hirata! Heard you and Karuizawa broke up!" Yamauchi made the first move as he walked to him and placed his arm around him.
"W-Well. Yes we did breakup because of some personal and internal issues that we each have of our own so we gave each other space for a time being." Yousuke told him.
"I see now. Don't sweat it okay?" He replied when Ike and Sudou grabbed him and pulled him away.
"Stop it Yamauchi and give him some space man." Ike told him.
"Hey now. A handsome guy just got dumped you know?" He replied back. "So I've got to comfort him." But they just dragged him away as Yousuke felt confused while chuckling a bit over their antics with each other.
"You have a terrible taste for jokes, you know that?!" Sudou brought up.
"Let go of me! Dammit!" Yamauchi ordered as some watched the scene between the trio of idiots. "How can you guys be so calm about this?!"
"That's not the point doofus!" Sudou reprimanded him.
"You're just making him feel empty!" Ike stated.
"You guys are no fun!" Yamauchi complained to them when someone entered their classroom. "Ohayo gozaimasu. Is Yamauchi Haruki here?"
All shifted their attention to the front door to see Sakayanagi being nice and friendly as, "Uh...yeah...that's me..." Yamauchi revealed himself.
"Good. Now if it pleases you, would you mind giving me a moment of your time?" Sakayanagi asked.
The 3 idiots blinked in confusion and unison over her words as Yamauchi broke free Sudou's grip. "M-Mochiron!"
"W-What just happened?" Ike asked and blinked twice while Haruka and Sakura looked at each other with doubt.
Now back to Yamauchi as he approached Sakayanagi. "I've been wanting to have a talk with you. An important talk I can describe." She told him.
"Really? You mean it?" He asked feeling a wave of excitement.
"Indeed. But it might be too noisy here so how about outside over there? I'll be waiting for you." She left the classroom as, "Wait, wait that's impossible! It can't be happening!" Ike exclaimed.
"Yeah! This sounds way too good to be true! But it's also unusual!" Sudou also exclaimed supporting his friend as, "There's nothing wrong with this!" Yamauchi assured to them and prepared to leave when, "Machinasai Yamauchi-kun!"
"What is it now Horikita?" He asked and she already stood up. "This is a trap!" She concluded regarding his conversation with Sakayanagi. "The fact that you're being asked out by Class A's representative is abnormal! Even Ike-kun and Sudou-kun can see through it clearly!"
"What do you mean by that?!" He asked in annoyance while Ike and Sudou smiled gleefully at what she stated about them.
"That's just normal abuse by her." Ayanokouji thought when Yamauchi made a ridiculous declaration. "Alright listen to me! I am..."

"The lethal and destructive weapon of this class!"
All the students were flabbergasted by this except Ayanokouji who still maintained his poker face as, "That's why I'll be okay! And don't worry, I won't spill out anything unnecessary such as class secrets and strategies." He then left the class happy like bird over meeting up with Sakayanagi while the rest remain flabbergasted.
"This is so awkward." said Yukimura.
"Tell me about it." Hondou agreed with him.
As for Horikita, she is definitely doubtful about this.
After school...
At the coffeeshop, "Why would Sakayanagi want to speak with Yamauchi-kun?" Haruka asked as she, Ayanokouji, Yukimura and Sakura are hanging out for another study session. Yukimura drank a packet drink while the rest have coffee in cups. "Kiyopon, Yukimu, what are your answers?"
"This is a topic that I'm not very well versed in." Yukumira answered.
"There has never been an interaction between the two of them." Ayanokouji added but remembered the incident during the Mixed Training Camp but kept it to himself. "This is also way too sudden for something basic to turn into...something else. Right?"
"I see your implication. Ah, you are so calm as always." Haruka described him. "People like Hirata-kun are one thing but I doubt about Yamauchi-kun."
"Agreed. He seems easily persuaded and often times exaggerates himself." said Sakura.
"So true. Speaking of Hirata-kun, I knew he and Karuizawa-san would break up someday even though it'll be temporary." Haruka stated.
"Huh? You expected it?" A surprised Sakura asked.
"Yeah. I mean, Hirata-kun seems to prefer a more mature and beautiful girl." Haruka replied as Ayanokouji drank some of his coffee.
"Oh...but I also think Karuizawa is cute and okay. She's known to a prominent figure for us girls." Sakura replied back and turned to face Ayanokouji. "Don't you think so Kiyotaka-kun?"
"I don't know." He replied as, "Well one thing's for sure, Hirata-kun is now single and it seems there are quite a few girls who take a liking for him." Haruka stated.
"Really?" Sakura asked.
"Huh? You mean you never noticed it Airi-chan?" Haruka asked when, "More importantly, we better get ready for the final exams." Yukimura interrupted the girls as he took out some papers and passed it to the girls. "You'll get expelled if you fail it big time."
As the girls groan a bit about studying, Ayanokouji received a new message from an unknown sender. "Oh right. Where are the other members?" Haruka asked.
"Akito-kun is at the archery club, Hiyori-chan and Albert are in the library, Hamaguchi and Beppu are tutoring some of their classmates and for some reason, Honami-chan has not replied to my messages about this current study session." Sakura told the group and this made Ayanokouji feel concerned.
At the boulevard after the session...
"I'm sorry for messaging you out so suddenly." Mii-chan apologized to him and they're sitting on the park bench.
"No problem Mii-chan. So what do you want?" Ayanokouji asked.
"Well...I...I wanted you to tell me about Hirata-kun." Mii-chan replied.
"Why me? We're not really all that close." He replied.
"Because Hirata-kun told me that you're the most reliable person, Ayanokouji-kun." Mii-chan replied as she looked down in shyness. "Say...does Hirata-kun have someone he likes now?"
"I guess not."
"Really?"
"I can't say for certain, but he and Karuizawa broke up to mend their personal wounds. There is something conflicting in them internally and it regards their past. I don't want to reveal a lot for their sake and their breakup is temporary. The day will come when they'll resume their relationship." Ayanokouji replied.
"You're totally right...do you think I still have a chance?" Mii-chan asked.
"Maybe...it's just...Hirata is a good guy right?" He asked and she nodded. "That's why, the next time he goes out with someone else, he'll be more cautious. He might feel responsible for not making Karuizawa happy and for being unable to protect her."
"Hirata is indeed a good guy..."
"So if you confess to him in a hurry, I think it won't end well." Ayanokouji advised Mii-chan.
"Souka...I just need to take my time and be patient." Mii-chan exclaimed with understanding.
"Yeah. Who laughs last, laughs best." Ayanokouji added with some words of wisdom as Mii-chan giggled about it. "I think I might have been mistaken about you Ayanokouji-kun."
"Mistaken?" He asked.
"You don't normally talk all that much and you kind of give off a scary vibe. But ever since I saw you interact with Honami-chan at the cruise ship, I begin to have second thoughts about you and now, I understand that she sees something in you. This is why you're super easy to talk to. No wonder Hirata-kun relies on you. It feels like you really care about my problems I guess."
Just then, "Oh? What is this that I'm seeing?"
"Hiyori-chan!"
"Are you 2 on a date?" She asked.
"N-No! You got it all wrong!" She replied back even standing up in surprise from her words.
"Then, would it be alright if I join you?" Hiyori asked.
"Oh...of course! You don't mind Ayanokouji-kun?" Mii-chan asked him.
"Yeah I don't mind." He replied as Hiyori sat beside him on the other side. "So what were you both talking about?" She asked.
"I wanted to visit China once." He replied to cover up the conversation between him and Mii-chan.
"Ah. That's because Mii-chan came from China right?" Hiyori asked with understanding and the latter noticed something. "Ano...are you two friends?"
"Yes. We're reading buddies you can say." She replied.
"Well you're not wrong about that." He added.
"Souka! It's wonderful to have friends in other classes isn't it?" Mii-chan asked excitedly.
"That's what I think!" Hiyori agreed with her. "There's more to life here in this school than antagonizing each other."
"Definitely!" Mii-chan agreed as the girls bonded together. "As far as I recall, she's in the same group with Shiina during the Mixed Training Camp." Ayanokouji thought.
"Oh right. Mii-chan, you promised to teach me this coming Saturday right?" Hiyori brought up.
"Of course! We planned to use the school gymnasium to practice." She replied.
"Wait what is going on between the two of you?" Ayanokouji asked.
"Mii-chan is known to have learnt Chinese martial arts. She offered to teach me during camp so I gladly accepted it." Hiyori revealed.
"Omoshiroi. Mii-chan isn't much athletic but it appears she has a decent level in the field of martial arts." Ayanokouji thought with understanding when he received a new message and it was from Horikita.
Later that night...
In another area, Ayanokouji is reading a book while killing time when he heard footsteps. "Sorry for being late."
"Why are you asking me to meet here?" He asked her.
"It's hard to talk about this by email." Horikita replied.
"Today's the day many people asked me for advice." Ayanokouji stated as he closed the book. "So what is going on now in this school?"
"There's a strange rumour going around about Ichinose-san." Horikita began.
"What kind of rumours?" He asked as he stood up and went to have a city view. He also remembered what Sakura mentioned regarding her during the study session.
"One way or another, a slander." She replied, now standing beside him in front of the railing.
"Details?"
"I summarized them here." She passed him a folded paper as he took it, unfolded it and read the details. "Amazing..." He described.
"I can feel the malicious intent when the rumour is out." Horikita stated.
"But it's just an unfounded rumour." Ayanokouji replied. "I think it's going to end up being treated as a feeling of envy."
"But the pace at which this rumour spread throughout the 1st year was rapid." She replied.
"So someone is intentionally spreading it huh?" He asked.
"Kanzaki-kun and the others from Class 1-B seem to think that Class 1-A is the source of the rumour."
"Sakayanagi..." Ayanokouji thought in silence.
"But it's just too blatant." said Horikita while thinking with concern.
"What if we assume that the rumour has some truth in it?" Ayanokouji asked.
"Even if the rest of it is a hoax, that would still affect her credibility for once." She answered.
"Is Honami denying it?"
"No. Not at that moment."
"Then we should stand by and watch." Ayanokouji suggested. "Especially if the opposing side is Class A and there's no reason for us to intervene and there is even a risk that Honmai might consider us enemies." He then took his school bag and left the area but thought of this. "For now."
It now cuts her dorm as in the bathroom, Horikita is in the midst of her hot bath as she thought deeply. As she looked at her hand. She thought of something as she got out of her bath to change and make preparations.
A while later, "I am sorry to call you at this hour Ichinose-san."
"It's alright Horikita-san. You're doing this out of consideration for me, right?" Honami then shifted her gaze. "And thanks to you too, Kiyotaka."
"I just tagged along as Horikita said." He replied and it reveals all 3 of them in Horikita's room having tea and talking about the rumour now. Oh, Ayanokouji had coffee instead.
"So Ichinose-san, do you have any idea on who's spreading it?" She asked.
"I can't absolutely guarantee it, but I think it might be Sakayanagi." She answered.
"What makes you so sure?" Horikita asked another question.
"Maybe...it's because she declared war on us..." She replied as she took the cup and sipped her tea. "Is this enough to convince you or not?"
"Now when did Sakayanagi declare war on Class B? She did tell me before but when..." Ayanokouji wondered to himself as, "From what I've heard, Class A has decided that Class B is their target to be destroyed and has done damage to you by spreading those unfounded rumours." Horikita stated as Honami paused her sipping and placed the cup back on the table.
"I'm not really sure about that...it's up to you guys to hear about them and take them at whatever method is best." She replied. "I think I can counter Sakayanagi by remaining silent. That way, neither class B, C and D should be subject to any unnecessary losses."
"You're strong. I can give you that. You are not only thinking about yourself but also those around you." Horikita commended her.
"I'm not really that great though." She replied back.
"Then-"
"Please Horikita-san, don't step into this matter carelessly." Honami advised her firmly. "You don't need to be Sakayanagi's target."
"Are you really okay about this?" She asked.
"Mochiron daiyo." She replied back. "I appreciate you for understanding my worry and concern. But I'm really fine with this." She then stood up to take her leave. "Thanks for inviting me today and for the tea. See you next time."
They watched as she left the dorm room. Once it's just the 2 of them, "Like I said before, we should do nothing." Ayanokouji spoke up. "If the rumour is indeed from Sakayanagi, it's not a good idea to make our class the target of her attack by getting involved. Otherwise, she'll become relentless and merciless to us."
"But if Ichinose-san is defeated, the next target will be us." Horikita stated.
"I'm rather thankful that Class B will be destroyed by then." Ayanokouji replied.
"So you're saying you don't care about what happens to Ichinose-san? And I thought you 2 are very close." Horikita asked even bringing up their strong interaction as she stared at him coldly. "You're quite cold-blooded..."
"Isn't that also how you acted at first?" He asked. "She's an opponent that we'll have to face and defeat someday."
"But she's currently our ally. If the rest of Class A falls, we'll be in a one-on-one battle with Class B-"
"That's pretty idealistic isn't it?" He interrupted her which left her surprised as, "Well, I'll just go back to my room. See you tomorrow." He then left her room as she watched him and feel sort of down...
Outside as Ayanokouj closed the door to her room, "Hmm? You're still here Honami?"
She was seen leaning by the wall waiting aside as, "May I have a moment Kiyotaka?"
It cuts to them standing on some roof balcony as, "How do I say this...I'm really sorry." Honami apologized first.
"Why are you apologizing?" He asked and small bits of snow fell it's way down.
"Because of the rumours about me. I've caused you a lot of unnecessary worry." She answered. "You and your friends don't have to worry about it."
"Is that what you said to everyone in Class B when this started?" He asked.
She nodded and spoke on. "I'm not going to change my stance until the rumours go away." She then looked away and down on the ground with a smile. "That's all I'm saying." She then looked up at him. "Thanks for keeping me company and see you!" She hurried her way as he just watched...

...
With a smile.
Some time later, Ayanokouji returned to his dorm but once he stepped in, he received a call from an unknown person with an unregistered number.
"Who is this?" He asked but no answer. "If you don't say anything, I'm hanging up."
"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka..." A cold and menacing voice was heard and the call ended in an instant. "So they're making their move huh?" He thought as he looked at the number...

...
...
"Let them try."
The next day...
Classes are over and there's a commotion going on at the lobby and Katsuragi and Yahiko are observing it. And then, Ayanokouji showed up. "What's going on?"
"Oh! Ayanokouji! What's up!" Yahiko greeted him as he and Katsuragi turned to face him. "Seems like a letter was put in the mailboxes of the students." Katsuragi explained as he took one out. "Here. I checked my mailbox this morning before class and this was already inside."
Taking it, "Honami Ichinose is a criminal." Ayanokouji read.
"That stupid rumour has gone too far." Katsuragi described.
"If they're doing this blatantly, the school is likely to make a move to quell this misinformation." said Yahiko.
"And I think the culprit would be well aware of something as simple as that." Katsuragi added.
"Wait, do you have any idea who the culprit is?" Yahiko asked him.
"I can't be sure though. It is dangerous to point fingers at others without logical thinking and evidence." He replied to him as they watched the commotion between the students of Class B thrown into disarray over the letter and Honami.
"I know who the culprit is." Ayanokouji brought up as they turned to him again with surprised eyes. "But it's better for me to deal with this myself without getting others involved."
"I see...you have a plan to put an end to this." Katsuragi can tell as, "Ayanokouji. Do what you must and save Ichinose." Yahiko reminded him as he placed his hand on his shoulder. "Don't let the culprit get away for this."
"Oh? Since when have you become soft to him?" Katsuragi asked him.
"We're in the same group during the training camp. Totsuka was able work well with us and even bonded with Hashimoto." Ayanokouji revealed to him.
"Amazing..." Katsuragi did not expect the change in Yahiko and as the 3 students talked with one another, someone is watching them from a distance.
Several minutes later, Ayanokouji is nearing his dorm when, "Hey. Can I talk to you?" Looking behind, "If I recall, you're from Class A..."
"That's right. I'm Kamuro Masumi and I really need to talk to you." She introduced herself as he stared at her.
Entering his dorm room, "Huh...such a plain room..." Kamuro described.
"That's the first thing you say after entering my room?" He asked as he placed his school bag on his table while Kamuro sat on his bed. "You wanna drink something first?"
"Sure. It's gonna be a long story so some liquid refreshment will be required." Kamuro answered.
"Alright. Coffee or tea?"
"You got chocolate?"
"Yes I do."
"Then I'll take it."
"I gave her 2 options but I didn't expect her to make a third one." Ayanokouji thought as he went to the kitchen.
Soon enough, 2 cups of hot chocolate are ready and on a small table as he took his cup. "You're not gonna drink it?"
"Are you becoming cautious of me?" Kamuro asked back.
"It would be strange if I were not. Especially to a girl whom I'm not close to, a student from Class A who just came into my room." He replied.
"You sure are quite different from Yamauchi-kun." Kamuro exclaimed as she began. "Before I drink the chocolate, let me ask you this. What do you think of Ichinose's letter?"
"I'm not interested." He replied.
"Even if you're not interested, you must have an opinion on the matter." Kamuro then asked him another question. "Do you think Ichinose-san is a good person or a bad person?"
"You can't say someone's a bad person just because they're a criminal." Ayanokouji answered her question.
"That's because Ichinose has a secret from Sakayanagi." Kamuro revealed to him.
"Is that so? Does it relate to the ongoing rumour regarding her?" Ayanokouji asked.
She nodded and stated this. "As of now, Sakayanagi doesn't know that I'm talking with you right now. She'll probably be furious if she finds out."
"That you're about to spill the beans about Honami and the rumour?" He asked. "Sorry though. I don't believe it." He then sipped his chocolate.
"Then I'll tell you the truth that Ichinose has been hiding." He paused his drinking as she spoke on. "But before that, I need to tell you about why I'm being pushed around by Sakayanagi." Ayanokouji listened on as Kamuro told him about her past on how she and Sakayanagi met.
A flashback occurred on the first day of school after the entrance ceremony as at Fairy Mart 7, Kamuro just exited the place as she looked left and right and headed back to her dorm. On the way, Sakayanagi appeared behind her claiming that she saw her action. Shocked and scared, Kamuro took out a can of beer and returned it her. As she took it, she tried to report her action to the school but Sakayanagi stopped her. For she has decided to make use of her.
"So you're telling me you're a habitual shoplifter is it?" Ayanokouji asked.
"Was. I don't have time for that because Sakayanagi has pushed me to the bone." Kamuro replied.
"Is that why you're following me?" He asked.
"That's right. You see, Ichinose's secret is the same as mine." She has started spilling the beans to him as she placed the cup back on the small table.
"That you both have a history of shoplifting, huh?" He guessed right as she nodded and, "Even though she's such a popular student...I feel like Sakayanagi is starting to go overboard in this. That is why, you must stop her! You can do that right?"
"Why me?"
"Because...there's no one I can talk to..." Kamuro replied while gripping his bedsheet. "Besides, you're the one Sakayanagi is most wary of."
"I'm flattered that you came all the way here to tell me everything but I still don't trust you." Ayanokouji replied.
"Why?" She asked.
"Because Sakayanagi has the option of using you as a pawn to drag me into the game." He replied being wary of her indeed.
She then stood up. "Then I'll prove it you."
"After you finish the chocolate." He replied and this discussion is over as Kamuro drank her chocolate.
Outside...
"Seeing that convenience store reminds me of what I encountered on the first day." Ayanokouji recalled as he waited for Kamuro behind a tree. He then heard footsteps as he looked behind to see Kamuro holding onto a can of beer. "Hora."
He took the can and examined it for a couple of seconds. "It is indeed real alcohol."
"Of course. Besides, students are not allowed to purchase adult products." Kamuro stated.
"Then I guess I'll trust you from now. Here's my number."
"Alright. I'll do the same."
They exchanged contact number with each other and after that, "Take it back."
"if you say so..." He handed the can of beer back to Kamuro as she took her leave to return it. Ayanokouji watched her leave when he received a new call and it's from Manabu. Answering it, "Yes?"
"Ayanokouji. I have something important to tell you and this is a serious matter for your class." Manabu spoke to him.
"And what is it?" He asked.
"Kushida Kikyou. She has made contact with Nagumo." Manabu revealed.
The scene cuts to Keyaki Mall where there are Valentine decorations around it. Passing by a random shop is Kikyou as her innocent smile shifted to a wicked and malicious one.
"Wakata." He replied as he thought of it. "Seems like I can't pretend anymore. I'm gonna have to make some moves."
I have a bad feeling that in this season, Yamauchi is dead meat. You know what I mean right?
Well, the rumour incident has begun with Honami labelled as a criminal. Knowing that he can't just stand aside and pretend to know nothing, how will Ayanokouji save her? And how will Honami deal with this?
All will be revealed in the next 2 chapters...(But one at the time for the updating...)
