I saw how upset and sad so many people were when this story was taken down, but I did save the chapters just in case I decided to come back to it. Sadly, I will not be coming back, but this is for those who wanted the story back up. There is a better explanation at the bottom of the story as to why I'm placing this here.

CH 1 : P-731

Peter felt numb.

Although that wasn't much of a surprise, he was always numb nowadays. He hated that he felt like this, don't get him wrong, but he couldn't exactly help feel like this.

Feel like...nothing.

Like he was nothing.

Peter wasn't always like this. If he dug deep, he could remember glimpses of his mother. He doesn't remember how he came to be here, but he remembers that he was given to HYDRA from an old lady he can't remember the name of.

It wasn't as hard to remember when things went bad, and the days he had started feeling numb. The day where he was introduced to HYDRA's physical training.

Peter knew better then to actually think about any of that. To not let his mind drift and linger on all the bad things he was put through. Things that no fifteen year old should have been put through. He knew and utterly hated the fact. At least that's what Wanda used to tell him.

Peter also knew that he couldn't change it.

Couldn't go back in time, and not let his mother give him away to HYDRA.

He remembers screams, pleading not to take him, giving him the thought she didn't want to give him away. But she couldn't stop them from taking him.

Ever since the Maximoff twins escaped, they doubled security on their final asset, being him. P-731

Peter looked up in a daze from the drugs that they had put him on so he could be more stationary in the cell that was his room. He couldn't really move, couldn't process the thought to move. Only to take a breath in, and to take a breath out. To blink between every breath, and listen to the movements outside his cell.

He had lost hope of being rescued long ago. No one could possibly know he was missing, and even if someone did, nobody would care enough to search for him.

The people who aid him, HYDRA, thought that he was a blank slate.

They didn't even name him, they only called him P-731.

The person who actually cared enough to name him Peter was Wanda Maximoff who didn't know they kept people prisoners here. She came her voluntarily with her twin brother. They could only talk through the walls, when they weren't being trained or tortured for their abilities, but she was the only person Peter has ever actually had a conversation with in his life.

But when they escaped, Peter was sent to a different location and was now under submission in his new cell, nowhere to go.

Now Peter's left alone with nobody to talk to now once again.

No way to get out.

No where to go even if he did escape.

Nobody's waiting for him outside.

CH 2 : Left Behind

The Red room.

It was cold, and dark and covered in a layer of dust. Natasha spotted a crib against the wall, it was her son's. Natasha ignored her instincts, which were telling her it was some sort of trap, and ran to the crib, but found it empty.

"Where the dreamy Volga flows. There's a lonely Russian rose," A familiar voice sang out in a soft voice sang out.

She spun around and immediately saw...herself holding a blanket in her arms.

"Mommy loves you, little one." Natasha said to the toddler in front of her as she walked up to the empty crib and tucked him into his bed. "Always remember that."

The boy smiled slightly as she pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead. Natasha knew that if he remembered her at all, this would be what he remembered. She liked that idea, even if it was bittersweet.

"Are you finished?" Madame B called out, her voice oddly distant.

Natasha nodded her response, still focused on her now sleeping baby.

"They're coming for you, you know that, don't you." Natasha finished tucking the blanket around him and turned towards Madame B.

The spy and her mentor shared a knowing look, the United States was coming for her. No one evaded them forever.

Natasha wishes she could walk up and beat the life out of Madame B, but she's confused to what's happening.

"Will you promise to let him have a normal life?" Natasha, to even her own amazement, wasn't afraid. Not for herself, that is. Her son deserved more of a life than what she had been given. "To give him to someone who will love him, the way he deserves to be loved?" There was an obvious desperation in the assassin's shaky voice.

"It is time to go." The blonde woman ignored the question.

Natasha's been having these flashbacks after her mind was messed with during the fight with Ultron.

She held her child once. She saw him smile for a brief second, saw his eyes...she wishes she could live in that one moment.

After she gave birth to their newest weapon, she wanted to protect him more than anything.

When he was taken away, Natasha gave up their location to S.H.I.E.L.D. and worked with them, only if she could help tear down the other branches of the Red Room. She never told anyone about how she was searching for her son.

She immediately snaps out of it and sees she missed a briefing about a new HYDRA base that was discovered.

Wanda was quiet during the briefing.

Well, she was usually always quiet. Preferring to keep to herself unless she wished otherwise, and to just watch what was happening. The others knew this, and showed their support in other ways.

Either silently sitting with her when they knew she didn't feel like talking, giving her surprise gifts left outside of her room door with a note, or just talking to her without needing her to talk back.

She was content with her life. It was nothing like her life before the bomb when she was younger, but she enjoyed it. Wanda enjoyed the nights where she would go to the common room and watch a movie with a different teammate with hot chocolate until she fell back asleep. Enjoyed the educated debates with Bruce, or the girl time with Natasha. Enjoyed the weekly meetings with Natasha, where they would do each other's hair or just talk.

Although she could do without Nick Fury's surprise barging ins with a mission that sent her to the place that stole what peaceful childhood she could have had with her brother. She could very much live a peaceful (as peaceful as she could get) life without that thank you very much.

But then her mind would often drift to her only friend she had in HYDRA; P-731. Peter.

She was talking with Pietro about trying to find him before they escaped the HYDRA base so the three of them could escape together. That's why she was almost discovered by Captain America when he was stopping Baron Strucker.

Wanda didn't care about Strucker getting caught, but she wanted to help Peter...but then she discovered he wasn't even in the base they were kept in anymore.

They moved him during the night, and they could never discover where he was taken to.

"Avengers," Nick said in his gruff voice, "We have a location on a new HYDRA base. All of you need to be ready to go in, get what's in it, destroy the base, and get out."

Wanda closely stared at the satellite of what have been a HYDRA Base. It was in the middle of a forest in Madagascar.

Not that big, only one or two stories high, but their was probably more underground. HYDRA liked their basements.

"It is not that big," Wanda spoke up, "Why do you need all of us? Is there more underneath?"

Nick nodded, "Their are three levels under the ground, all twice the size of what can be seen above ground."

"What are we going to have to retrieve? Documents? Data? Weapons?" Natasha asked, wanting to take her mind of her son.

"We have intel that states HYDRA has a very powerful weapon on one of the sub levels. Retrieve that weapon, it's code name is P-731. But any data would be useful as well," Nick explained the plan.

Wanda hummed, hiding her shock expression on what Nick said.

Did they find him for her?

Did they find Peter after two years?

"When are we heading out?" Steve questioned.

"Tomorrow." Nick answered right away.

"Well," Tony sighed, "Looks like I got some time to polish my new suit."

Nick nodded, "Dismissed."

Wanda rolled her eyes at the one eyed man. He was always so gruff and professional. Wanda wasn't really sure she had ever seen the man do anything other than smirk.

Everyone in the room walked out, and Wanda made her way to the Common Room with a few of the others.

"Wanda?" Natasha questioned, his voice sounds concerned. "Are you alright?"

"I know what the weapon is," Wanda started as they sat down on the couch. "He was my friend."

"He?" Natasha asked, sitting down next to her.

"His name is Peter. At least to me and him. Me and Pietro tried to save him when we escaped, but they moved him." Wanda explained to her. "He was born into HYDRA. Said he never knew his parents, but he wanted to be free. They torture him...make him use his powers to their advantage." She starts to tear up, remembering all the nights she heard the screams of agony.

Even the glimpses into his mind she was able to get to. She never saw his face, because he never saw his own face.

"Would you be able to stop him if he attacked?" Natasha asked her.

"He trusts me. I can get through to him...if he sees I'm safe, he will believe he can be safe with us." Wanda promises. "It's just the matter of finding him."

CH 3 : Finally found you

Peter followed the sound of a woman singing down a hallway he recognized, but had no memory of.

The voice was singing a soft lullaby in Russian, a language he had a passing familiarity with, but couldn't actually speak. Finally finding the source in an open room filled with small cots.

The woman stopped singing when he entered the room, but didn't acknowledge him, her eyes fixed on the toddler in one of the beds.

He squinted, but couldn't make out any of her features. he was frustrated but remained quiet as he watched. "Mommy loves you, little one." The woman spoke English when talking to the boy. "Always remember that." There was touch of sadness in her soft voice. Peter began walking towards her as she stood from the bed.

Peter's attention came back to reality from the sound of gunshots and yelling.

He doesn't know what's going on, but wonders if they know he's here.

Tony rolled his eyes as Steve laid out yet another HYDRA goon and landed in yet another super heroic pose.

And people thought he was the dramatic one on the team. Sure, he had incredibly brilliant quips, but Cap had the market cornered on dramatics.

Dramatic poses, dramatic sighs into the distance for days gone by, dramatically chiseled good looks.

Tony blasted another guy from his feet into a wall. God, he loved his job.

"Barton, Romanoff, tell me one of you has something." Steve gritted into the comm.

"I'm in the control room. I'm downloading files right now." Natasha's voice told them easily. "I'm not seeing any weapons on the security cams, but I'll keep looking."

"Nothing on my end. Jesus, these dudes just keep on coming." Clint groused. There was quiet for a moment. "Yeah, yeah, we all know your cut off one head motto by now."

"Barton, focus. We need the location of that weapon to either disarm or destroy it." Steve bit out.

"Don't get your star-spangled panties in a twist, Cap. Some of us can multitask." Tony laughed as he jetted down a hallway.

"Stark, has your tech found anything yet?" Steve bit out, clearly irritated with him and Barton.

"J, what have we got?" Tony asked.

Jarvis' accented voice responded quickly, "Indicators show that there is one level below the one you are currently on. However, the schematics are not revealing an access point."

"One access point, coming up." Tony said, reaching the end of a hallway and pointing his blasters straight at the floor.

Once the blast cleared, he saw that once again his AI had not steered him wrong.

"Guys, I'm checking out a secret lower level. I feel like I'm about to read HYDRA's secret teenage girl diary. I'll let you know if there is something juicy."

"Stark, keep your eyes open, it could be dangerous." Steve commanded.

Tony just rolled his eyes and lowered himself down to the eerily empty extra level. Why would Hydra create an entire secret level, and nobody was on it? Tony was starting to get an uneasy feeling as he looked in room after room, all empty. But they looked like they had been recently evacuated. Papers were left lying around, labs still had experiments bubbling. It was weird.

Tony stopped at the last door in the corridor and sees it was locked. He repulse blasted the lock and pushed it open. "I think we're about to find out HYDRA's dirty little secret, guys." He announced.

"Stark, I'm on the lower level, what's your location?" Wanda asked.

But Tony didn't respond. He was too shocked.

The secret left behind in this secret level of a Hydra base was a kid?

A small figure, Tony honestly didn't know how old the human was, stared at him defiantly in the bare cell that contained only a small cot.

Tony was less scared than confused though from the brown eyes slanted at him under a mop of brown curls.

"Hey, kid, I'm an Avenger, we're gonna rescue you." Tony told the kid.

Far from having the desired effect, the kid went berserk. He ran straight for Tony and jumped up in the air, pushing his feet straight at Tony's chest, and even more surprising, Tony flew out of the sterile room and crashed into the wall behind him.

"Uh, guys, I think I found the weapon." Tony groaned as he got up. "Kid, listen, I'm Iron Man and I don't want to hurt you. I'm one of the good guys." He tried to reason with the small figure that was flinging himself at him again. But this time he managed to evade the boy.

"Whoa! Okay, come on, I'll get you a lollipop if you're good." Tony offered. This only seemed to make the kid more angry as he kicked off a wall and landed another punch, damaging Tony's suit.

"Sir, I must alert you that you cannot take many more direct hits of this strength. Your suit is now running at thirty-four percent capacity." Jarvis warned him, showing several weakened points on his suit.

"Thanks, J, update me when I'm at twelve percent." Tony snapped back. He didn't want to hurt a kid, but damn, this kid wasn't a normal kid. He evaded as much as he could, but the kid was smart enough to use their tight quarters to his advantage.

"Peter!" Someone shouts and P-731 spins to the familiar voice and Tony looks to see Wanda walking over slowly.

"Wanda, you know this kid?" Tony asks.

"Wanda?" Peter questioned, never seeing Wanda without a concrete wall in between them.

Wanda walks slowly towards him, smiling at finally meeting him. She places a hand up to his face and watches as his face of confusion smiles for the first time in years.

"I finally found you." Wanda whispers and moved her hands to his head so that red strands hold him down. With a torn face, she sent a mental attack, that knocked Peter out.

Quickly, Tony got up and ran to check on the kid, "Is he okay?" He asks Wanda.

Wanda nodded slightly, she was wringing her hands, and her eyes hadn't left the still body of the boy, "He should be fine. I knocked him out long enough for us to get out of here."

Tony understands and picks him up before leaving to meet up with the rest of the team and to get out.

CH 4 : Always trusted me

Slowly, Peter reopened his eyes, and looked around the room he was currently in now. It wasn't large, and he could actually had a window to his left with the curtains pulled away. The door was to his side, and closed, and there were a couple of chairs on the wall opposite of him next to another door; most likely a restroom.

Peter saw that he was wearing grey sweatpants, and a plain grey shirt, ten he looked and saw someone sleeping he thought he would never see again.

"Wanda?" Peter asks and Wanda woke up at the sound of her name and saw Peter's awake.

"Hey, Peter." Wanda says softly and places her hand on Peter's as a smile spread across her's and Peter's face. "I'm so happy to see you again."

"I...I thought you forgot about me." Peter admits to her.

"I never stopped looking for you, Peter. I promise you. I never gave up on you." Wanda promises as she stands and leans over to hug him and Peter took the hug, never have been treated this nice from anyone before breaking apart. "Pete, the people who saved you, they'd like to see if you're doing okay. Would you feel up to meeting them?"

Peter shook his head to answer no, not feeling up to it and just wants to stay with Wanda right now and she understands that.

Natasha watched the two interacting and wonders how close they are when Bruce approaches with the results from the labs.

"Hey, how's our guest doing?" Natasha asks the doctor.

"He just needs some rest, some proper food, Wanda offered to keep an eye on him for anything." Bruce answers her, looking over the screen in his hands.

"Probably the bets choice, he trusts Wanda more than any of us." Natasha supposed, remembering when Wanda told her about how she knew Peter and can't believe his family gave him up.

After a prolonged period of silence, Wanda asked, "You hungry, Peter?"

Peter nodded, feeling like he hadn't eaten in days, which he hasn't.

"Would you feel comfortable enough to eat with everyone?" Wanda wondered. "I promise they won't hurt you."

Peter quickly shook his head, he didn't want to be around other people right now. Just hours ago, he had been under control of HYDRA, had sets of orders to follow, and was starving every single minute of his life.

Now, he was in a different set of clothes, he was able to freely move, and he was getting the offer to eat all he wanted. As amazing as it is, he could barely handle being around Wanda in the new environment. How many people were there in this place? There's was too many for Peter to be comfortable, that's for sure.

Wanda understands why he didn't want to as she felt the same when she came here. "Then what about dinner with just you and me? We'll eat in here, and then we'll help move you to your room."

"My…I have a Room?" Peter asked.

"You're not a prisoner here, Peter. You're safe." Wanda promised him and takes his hand into hers. "You've always trusted me."

There was a soft knock, and Peter tensed, as Steve opened the door. Wanda was handed a tray of food from the soldier and she set it down on the table beside Peter's bed, nodded gently as the door closed.

Peter hesitated only a moment, but when Wanda explained its okay, he started to eat.

That night, Natasha didn't know what to think when they brought the kid into the building. Not that she was necessarily scared of the teen, it was just…she had so much in common with Peter. The brainwashing, the taken at a young age, she felt…she felt like she had to protect him.

Maybe it's her mother instincts rising back up that has helped her keep herself alive all these years. The thought of reuniting with her son somehow, knowing he's out there somewhere, that's what she's been running towards, and fighting for.

She's been fighting for her son ever since he was taken from her. She sold out the Red Room so that she and him could get away, start a new life. But by the time S.H.I.E.L.D. came, they already sent him somewhere else.

So, as she just stared at her ceiling at one in the morning in her bed, after hours of failing to sleep, she knew the reason. Peter's situation hit too close to home, and she was not able to block out images of the Red Room and her son being snatched from her.

With a frustrated sigh, Natasha climbed out of bed, and changed into her workout gear. She put her hair up in a ponytail, grabbed a couple bottles of water, and walked down to the training room.

After a few hours of beating a punching bag senseless, FRIDAY called out to her.

"Ms. Romanoff?" FRIDAY called out more quieter than usual.

"What is it?" Natasha asked.

"Peter is currently in his room, and appears to be having a nightmare as he's thrashing around in his sleep." The AI informs her dutifully.

The redhead's eyes widen, wondering why FRIDAY chose to tell her over Wanda.

"I notified the closest person the team that was awake." FRIDAY explained, Natasha usually being up this early.

Natasha rushed out of the training room, and across the hall to Peter's room. When she opened the door, her heart ached at the sight.

Peter was twisting and turning in his bed sheets, face twisted into one of fear. Sweat made his light brown hair stick to his face.

Natasha rushed to Peter's bed side. "Peter?" She called, hands hovering over Peter. It was obvious she didn't know where to start, she didn't know how to comfort a child.

"Peter, wake up." Natasha mumbled when she placed a comforting hand on his cheek, unsure what else to do. When Peter didn't wake up, Natasha just decided to do the next best thing and started to hum the lullaby she used to sing to her son.

"Where the dreamy Volga flows. There's a lonely Russian Rose. Gazing tenderly. Down upon her knee. Where a baby's brown eyes glisten. Listen. Every night you'll hear her croon A Russian lullaby. Just a little plaintive tune. When baby starts to cry. Rock-a-bye my baby. Somewhere there may be A land that's free for you and me...And a Russian lullaby." Natasha sang to Peter and he starts to calm down and slowly beigins to rest peacefully.

Natasha moves to sit next to Peter, and lowers an arm across the younger males shoulders. Peter stiffens at first, but slowly relaxes as Natasha continues the song in hushed tones.

"I don't know if you're awake, but I once had a son. He was taken away from me before I had the chance to know him. That was his lullaby I would sing to him every night before they took him from me." Natasha explained to Peter and moves the hair from out of his face. "I couldn't protect him, I wish I fought harder. But I won't make that same mistake with you. I'll protect you like I wish I protected him. I don't even know if he's still out there...I just have to believe he is. Because if he's not out there somewhere, I don't know what I'm going to do next. I can't have any other children because of the people that held me. I wonder what he's like...I don't even know if he knows how much I love him.

Peter was in fact was asleep and was hearing a voice he didn't recognize, it was some female voice and he looked like he was back with HYDRA in his cell. It wasn't Wanda's voice, or any of the scientists. So who's was it?

"Where the dreamy Volga flows. There's a lonely Russian rose," the voice sang out in a soft voice.

"Mommy loves you, little one." The woman said to the toddler who's Peter as she walked up to the empty crib and tucked him into his bed. "Always remember that."

The boy smiled slightly as she pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead.

It was his mother. She loved him. HYDRA lied to him, saying she didn't want him.

Peter couldn't make out her face, and he doesn't know if this was a memory or just a dream, but he knows it means more than nothing.

He couldn't make out her face but what he could make out was her hair.

Her red blood hair.

CH 5 : (Unfinished)

Peter was leaning against a wall inside of HYDRA and talking to Wanda through the wall.

"What's it like? To be outside?" P-731 asks Wanda.

"I...I don't know how to describe it." Wanda admits. "How long have you been here?"

"For as long as I can remember." P-731 told her.

"Why don't you have a name?" Wanda asks.

"They said I don't need one, I have no reason to be named. Because I'm not loved enough." P-731 states with tears. "That since my parents don't care about me, I don't deserved to be loved."

"Hey, I care about you." Wanda promises. "How about we call you...Peter?"
