JTWright - Ha! I was actually already considering writing a story like that!

Guest - Just wait, I actually have something like that planned for an actual story

'I hate this...being alone. I hate not having anyone in my life. I want my mommy...my daddy...my aunt May...my uncle Ben! I want my family back...I want...to be normal again.'

Peter cried as he stared at his hands...his fingers. His eyes could even see the tiny hairs that allowed me to cling to anything.

These powers...I HATE THEM! Peter lashed out at himself, slamming his fists into a steel dumpster. He could feel the dents in the dumpster form while his fists stayed fine.

Peter then heard the yowl of a scared cat as it ran off deeper into the alley. Peter then began to feel bad, gaining control over himself again and gave a small chase after the cat, wanting to hold it and apologize for scaring it.

As the cat tried leaping and bounding over obstacles, he was following suit. Like an expert, as if this was something that was burned into Peter's muscles from when he was born.

That's when he came to a stop and saw her as she leapt down from a rooftop and slid down the gutter as if it were second nature to her. She then leapt off the gutter and landed onto the adjacent building's fire escape and Peter watched her slowly lower down to the ground.

He watched while hanging from the wall as she took out a quart of milk from her jacket and poured it into a tin for the cat to drink the milk out of. She hastily looked around and saw Peter, jumping upon seeing him because she didn't know he was there.

"Ah!" She yelped and stumbled back.

Peter then yelped in surprise, losing his grip on the wall, and falling flat on his back. The air was knocked out of him as his vision went blurry for a few seconds. The girl then was right above Peter, looking directly down at him in confusion.

"And who are you, stranger?" She asked Peter as he hesitantly got to his feet, cautious about her presence.

"P...Peter Parker...who are you?" Peter questioned.

"Selena." She introduces with a warm smile. "Say...aren't you that kid from the drive by a few years ago?" She asked him in curiosity as he took a moment to think then gave a sad nod.

"I'm the only one left...and I hate it." Peter said.

"How were you able to just...hang on the wall?" Selena asked again as Peter gave her the most straightforward answer he could.

"I think it's from a spider bite," Peter responded simply, still not fully sure of where his powers came from.

"Huh...when in Gotham I guess. So uh...why aren't you in an orphanage or something?" Selina asked Peter, bringing back the dark place he had just got himself out of.

"I got...thrown out," Peter said, giving a simple answer not wanting to talk about it.

Selina took the hint and she just started walking around the alleyway.

"Well...welcome to the Gotham slums, you'll find a new home here." Selina said with a chuckle as she spun around slowly, gesturing to the large alley around them.

Just then, the instinct inside of Peter kicked in again, when he noticed there was a man with a gun coming and he need to get them out of there now.

Peter immediately ran to the nearest wall, climbing up it and hiding on a fire escape. Selina then heard the sound of footsteps coming and hiding in the same fire escape that he was in.

Peter then began trembling, because he had it playing through his mind again. The day his family was shot in front of him and being helpless to do anything.

That was when Selina grabbed him and held her hand over his mouth while trying to calm him down by rubbing his head with her other hand.

"Don't panic. Don't scream, if he doesn't hear us he won't hurt us." Selena whispered and began repeating the last part over and over again.

That was when Peter heard footsteps coming from the other side of the alleyway. Three sets of footsteps to be exact.

"Oh come on Tom. It wasn't that bad." A female voice said as the footsteps got closer.

"Oh no? Childish drivel." A male voice said, insulting something.

"The acting was fine. The music was lovely." The woman said again.

Now Peter could tell that they were talking about some sort of play or theater or something like that.

"What about you, Bruce?" The woman asked, directing her attention to a third person as a child's voice spoke up.

"Sorry, mom. I agree with dad. It was kinda lame." The child said.

Seems like he didn't like the play either. So this is a family talking about a play that they just barely got out of. Then the family got into eyesight.

The man and boy were wearing suits, while the woman was wearing a dress. That was when he recognized the man.

"Thomas Wayne." Peter said softly, which was muffled further through Selina's hand, he recognized them due to the fact that his father worked for them before...

So he could assume the woman was Martha Wayne and the boy...Bruce Wayne. Then just suddenly things went south. The man from before pulled his gun and began mugging the family.

Thomas Wayne handed over all the money in his wallet, Martha Wayne gave her pearl necklace to the man. They were cooperating...then he shot both of them.

Where his rage flared and his rage began forcing through, the man ran away, leaving the bleeding corpses of Thomas and Martha in front of Bruce, who was screaming his lungs out in sorrow.

Another kid...ripped away from his family...because of something he couldn't control.

Peter kept his eyes on him as he kept running and broke away from Selina.

"Hey! Kid get back here!" Selena yelled at him while keeping quiet, but he wasn't listening though.

He was dead set on getting revenge for people like that.

If not on the guys who gunned his family down, he'll at least vent on this guy. He was leaping and running along walls, trying to catch up to him.

The man who shot him turned around, saw Peter chasing after him and went into a full sprint. To which Peter left off of the wall and ran full speed at him. Peter ran around next to him and threw a right hook at him, sending him tumbling to the ground and staggered back to his feet.

"Aah! Who the hell are-" He didn't have a chance to speak, as Peter was giving him no quarter. He was battering him with punch after punch, jabs and hooks and uppercuts.

Then Selena caught up with him and pulled the kid's arms behind him and held him in place. The man got a chance to get his balance and run away. When he was out of sight, Selina started rubbing Peter's head to try and calm him down.

"Hey, hey. It's okay. I get that you're angry, and I get why you're angry. Don't worry though, I got you...I won't let you be alone anymore. You can stay with me, okay?" She said.

The idea of someone keeping him company truly calmed Peter down as he let out a breath and curled up into her arms.

"See? Now let's get out of here before the police get here," Selina said as she started using her agility to quickly scale a building and Peter quickly followed her, climbing up the wall and joining her on the roof.

"Okay, Peter, so just follow me and I'll teach you how to survive in the Gotham slums. I'll be like your big sister in a sense," Selina said, giving him a bit of a smile while he began walking with her around the rooftop.

"I heard about what happened to your family. I've found it kinda strange. The circumstances, I mean. It doesn't seem...like a mistake. Like you and your family were targeted. For what, I don't know but this is just one opinion from one person," Selina said, giving her condolences.

"I...I appreciate your input...because the case went cold. There's no way to gather anymore evidence that hasn't already been gathered." Peter said sadly.

"I don't necessarily have a real place to stay. I just go around until I find a nice place to sleep. Are you fine with that?" Selina asked.

Peter simply nodded as he noticed her picking up speed as she started running towards the end of the rooftop.

"Try to keep up then!" Selina said as she leapt to another building.

Peter started following her path, leaping around to keep up with her agility and head start. She eventually stopped on a dime and turned around to face him. The sudden turn around caught Peter off guard, and he wasn't able to get his footing and thought he was about to fall onto her. She then opened her arms and caught Peter, stopping his momentum, and ended up holding him.

"Thanks." Peter said shyly.

"No problem, kid. How about we just rest here for tonight?" Selina said as she laid down on the dry rooftop.

Peter laid down next to her and tried to fall asleep, initially not wanting to fall asleep. He could only hear the sound of sirens as the police came to investigate the murder of the Wayne's. As fast a response as when his family got killed.

"Just put the thoughts out of my head...just try and focus on sleep please...focus...on...sleep," Peter said to himself, trying not to think back to what had happened in the past.
