The Watcher watched from afar as the figure who watched the plane crash was looking around the crashed parts before the government could investigate. She was curious about the boy and his parents, finding a busted laptop that surprisingly seemed to be slightly functional. This was something that she decided she could work on and decided to leave it at that and disappear.
T'Challa was returned to the throne room, still carrying the baby Peter as he was led back in by the Dora Milaje where he saw his father and mother were waiting for him to be returned. "We have seen the beginning, how one choice altered their entire very existence. But now...Peter Parker must learn to be accepted amongst the Wakandan people."
"T'Challa." T'Chaka sighed in relief that he was alright but was angered by his son. "What were you thinking?"
"I'm sorry, Baba, my spear went beyond the border, and when I got it, I saw a plane crash where I discovered him." T'Challa defended as he looked down at the sleeping baby who started to stir.
"Its family was killed in the crash, instantly. No survivors but him." Ayo reported to the king.
T'Chaka nodded in understanding and looked down at the child who woke and looked up to T'Challa and gave him a giggle, causing T'Challa to smile. But then he looked over to the other two, and when he saw Ramonda, he gave a gummy smile. Looking towards T'Chaka however and seeing his sour face of anger, he started to tear up and become afraid before crying.
"His family was killed?" Ramonda questioned as she picked the child away from her son to calm him down. "What do we do?"
"We must find its people." T'Chaka saw it as the only rational option. "People will be bound to come looking."
"They said bad people would come looking for him," T'Challa warned his father.
"We will be careful," T'Chaka assured his son. "Take the prince to his chambers."
T'Challa is then led out of the throne room and left the parents with the boy. He started to calm down when placed in Ramonda's hands and they knew they needed to look into where he came from.
On the outer line of the Border Tribe, a figure approached, seemingly nervous. They all wondered what she was looking for as she held a photo up to them.
"Uh...hi?" She decided to start by, wondering what to say. "My name is May Parker." She then showed the photo to them. "I'm looking for these people?"
The members stepped out of the way for M'Kathu to step forward. They have all been made aware of the boy and noticed that he looked the same as in the photo.
"What's your relation to them?" M'Kathu wonders.
"I am... a relative," May explain to them. "I am married to his brother." She gestured to Richard. "I am wondering...did they survive the crash?"
T'Chaka looked at the child as Peter smiled and babbled to the king. Ramonda smiled at the child as they were waiting to get word from the child's parents. Ramonda had to admit the child was growing on her, but their moment was interrupted when they got an alert on their wrists.
Using their Kimoyo Beads to answer the call, they saw it was M'Kathu. "My King, we may have found the boy's relatives."
"Are you certain?" T'Chaka was surprised that someone has already shown up for him.
"She says she is the boy's aunt," M'kathu answered, unsure of what to think. "She does check out."
T'Chaka then did quick research and found May Parker, the woman who is with M'kathu, and saw that they were indeed the same person. Looking over at the young child, he saw that it was time to bring him back to where he belonged.
Dressed in his normal civil Wakanda attire, King T'Chaka made his way to the border with the child in hand. May Parker was playing with her hands when she noticed that the king approached with her nephew in his hands.
"Oh, thank god!" May cried as she ran over and stopped in front of the king. "Thank you, thank you so much for looking after him."
"We were happy to look after him until someone came to claim him," T'Chaka said as he handed the boy over.
But to T'Chaka's surprise, the boy started to fuss and scrabble his way out of her hands. May shushed and tried to calm the boy down to no avail.
"It's okay, honey, it's your Aunt May," May calmed him down and saw it was time to go. "I wished to find his parents, but I'm happy he's safe. Thank you."
May then walked off towards the car she had rented whilst the boy looked back to T'Chaka. He reached out to the king as he stood there, watching the two disappear. He didn't think twice about it as he watched the boy stir and fuss about in his aunt's hands and walk away.
Returning to the castle of Wakanda, he marched through when one of the Dora Milaje approached him.
"My king." The Dora greeted him with news of what she discovered. "I have news about the boy."
"The boy is no longer our concern." T'Chaka was happy to inform her. He crossed his arms behind his back and strolled down the halls. "He has been returned to his family."
"His family?" The Dora asked in confusion as she stopped walking. "His family is dead."
That caused T'Chaka to stop and turn back to her. "What did you say?"
The Dora then showed the information that they found and showed the death of Ben and May Parker. "They were only recently killed."
T'Chaka looked and saw that was definitely the face of the woman that had just shown up and taken the boy. He suddenly began to wonder who it was he had just handed the boy to and got worried. He was told about what his son said about the mother saying he was special.
Who took him?
May brought Peter out to the middle of nowhere as he was still fussing in his seat. Groaning as she saw she could finally drop the act, she reached to her ear and tapped something. Her face then morphed out of Maybelle Parker and unveiled to really be Kara Palamas, also known as Agent 33. She was a master infiltrator and saboteur for a number of people and was basically a woman for hire but did most of her work with HYDRA. She just didn't quite understand what the importance of this one child was, as she never saw anyone in HYDRA to be baby people.
But they already had to lose a few people to get this damn kid and were happy to see that the mission was finally completed. Marching towards the gates of the facility, she saw the gates open for her, unaware that someone was watching her from the trees. T'Chaka was watching everything from the darkness of the trees in his Black Panther uniform when he saw that this wasn't Maybelle and the boy had indeed been kidnapped.
Needing to fix his mistake in his own honor, he knew he needed to find a way to get inside. While he searched the perimeter of the base, he saw there were a handful of people surrounding it. He moved fast as he quickly made his way over to the men where he clawed at his door from behind. The man didn't have time to react when he was attacked and cried in pain.
But one man next to him only had time to open fire and hit a few rounds on the bulletproof suit before the king reacted again. T'Chaka zipped over and spun as he kicked the man against the wall and knocked his head into the brick. A few of the men around followed as they tried to fire on the man, but it only ended with them getting clawed in the face and punched into the forest.
Seeing he has dealt with the perimeter, all he needed was to find a way inside. But he missed one man who was aiming at him from behind, just instead of a gun, he was carrying a rocket launcher. Yet just before he had time to fire, he was wrapped up in a golden lasso where he was then yanked.
T'Chaka spun around when he heard the man shriek in fear and watched as he was dragged upward to the roof of the building. They both saw the person who helped was a tall and fair-skinned woman with straight waist-length black hair, blue eyes, and broad shoulders. She is sporting a slender and athletic frame with a well-toned yet muscular build.
She wore a strapless blue bustier held up by a brace of gold resembling two W's. She has a large golden belt and red briefs with five white stars on them. She wears red boots with a white stripe on the front side. She also wears silver bracelets around her wrists, red star earrings, and wears a golden diadem with a red star on her forehead. She also has a golden lasso, which is currently being used to hold the man upward.
"Where is the boy?" She asks him. She watched as the man struggled not to speak as the lasso continued to flow. "The Lasso of Hestia compels you to reveal the truth." She states and shakes the rope to try and scare him a little. "Now where is the boy?"
"He...he is on the far side of the base." He finally confessed to her. "You'll never get inside. We have men everywhere."
"The entrances, maybe," Diana stated as she then dropped the man. He shrieked in fear as he slammed into the ground, and she placed the lasso on her belt. She then dropped onto the ground and found T'Chaka looking at her through the mask. "Shall we?"
"Who are you?" T'Chaka asks in confusion. "What is your business here?"
"I am Diana of Themyscaria." Diana introduced herself as she had her version of a salute. "Your Majesty." She then kneeled before the king to show respect. "I saw the plane crash; the boy beat me just before I could reach it. Something didn't seem right with the girl, and I followed her here. I only wish for the child's safety."
"Then it appears we have a common goal." T'Chaka saw it could be of use to have an alley on his side during this. "You may rise."
Diana nodded as she stood and the two made their way around the base. Since T'Chaka took care of their patrol, they didn't have much to worry about until someone called to check in on them. By that time, however, they would already be inside and taking care of business. When they reached the back of the building, T'Chaka placed a Kimoyo bead onto the wall and set it to explode.
They walked a small distance away from it, allowing the explosion to go off and take a portion of the wall with it. Several men came to figure out what just occurred, but they were stopped by either a rope wrapping around them or being tackled by T'Chaka and easily taken down. He clawed at their faces and left them to die as he kept making his way through the halls of the facility.
Diana used her lasso and yanked incoming soldiers from down the hall, and they continued their approach across the facility to find the boy. When they made their way to the labs, they found a locked door where they must be keeping him. That was confirmed when the moment they opened the door, they were fired upon, which didn't do much against the Vibranium Black Panther suit. T'chaka retorted by speeding up and impaling his claws into his chest.
Diana made her way inside and saw the boy was confined to a bed and was being looked over by one scientist. A female who was apparently shielding the child from both the man and them.
"No, no, no. Please don't." She begged them, revealing to have a strong British accent in her voice. "He's only a child."
T'chaka was a little confused as to what this person was talking about and what she thought they were here for. But he didn't care as he approached the child and saw he was resting, sedated with enough tranquilizer to kill a herd of elephants. He was starting to follow what they were saying when he was told the boy was special.
Diana got worried as she tossed the lasso over the scientist. "Who are you? What did you do to him?"
"I didn't do anything!" The scientist confesses. "My name is Jemma Simmons; I've been the only one keeping him alive. They wanted me to extract his blood and kill him. If it weren't for me, he'd be dead."
Diana saw she was speaking the truth and looked back to T'chaka only to discover that the Black Panther had vanished. Looking at the table, she also noticed there was no sign of the boy either. She just smiled and knew he must have taken the boy somewhere he would be safe.
T'chaka was indeed making his way out of the facility with the child in his arms. He was already stirring as he must have known someone was doing something to him, but he didn't cry or scream, seemingly trusting the person he was with. He was making his way out of the halls when he came across two men and quickly hid. He used the shadows and hoped that the boy wouldn't wake up or cause him to stir.
He managed to sneak past the two and started to make it for the exit. But it seems that he should have considered they would have blocked the exit he came from as dozens of men came firing at him. T'chaka shielded the boy in his arms as he turned and ducked lower, keeping the bullets from hitting the poor child.
He wondered what he was going to do when they started to approach and kept their guns on him. He wasn't going to risk anything bad appending to the boy for a second time, not when it was his fault he was in this predicament.
"Hands up!" One of them demanded the king.
"Wait!" T'Chaka stopped them from firing upon the boy. "What I hold is too valuable."
He then started to slowly make his way down and placed the kid on the ground. He saw they were starting to ease up as they assumed they had cornered him. But they thought wrong. He just needed to put the kid down and keep them from firing upon him. When the kid was put on the ground, he saw his window of opportunity to strike.
Speeding across the ground like a real panther, the king tackled the nearest of the guards and shoved him into the wall. With one taken care of, the others began to quickly open fire on the Black Panther. But the Vibranium held to its purpose and managed to keep him safe as he spun around and kicked another in the face. Then the last one kept shooting until his gun finally gave out and T'chaka managed to walk up to him and rip the gun from his hands. With that, he punched the last of them in the face and saw that he now had a clean escape.
Walking over to the boy, he then picked up the small one and saw he was finally starting to wake up. He cooed when he saw the Black Panther mask, which was something the king wasn't used to. Most children or adults would fear the Panther mask, but it seemed like he knew that it was T'chaka and he was here to save him.
He made his way out where he then noticed the woman from earlier hanging from the branches of the trees. "Wondered if you left or not."
"Thank you for your assistance in there." T'chaka was grateful for her interference. He could have torn that place apart and might have not found him in time if it weren't for her. "Might I ask however...why?"
"I don't like people who willingly harm children," Diana explained and dropped to the ground. "Keep him safe."
T'chaka looked down at the boy and their retreating woman. "What will you do?"
"Look for any more of these men," Diana explained what she was going to do. "They were only a limb. I need to find the head." She then threw her lasso to get some altitude. "I'll be seeing you again."
And with that, she yanked the rope and flew off and left the two of them alone. They didn't have to travel far as T'chaka had a ship camouflaged nearby that they could use to travel back to Wakanda.
T'chaka looked down at the baby who giggled at the man. "Let's go home."
The Watcher smiled as he saw that the king had chosen correctly. "They are on a new path. Together, these two men will make many changes that will alter dozens of people and their decisions. But what kind of world would that bring? Would it bring a better world or a worse world?"
