FINAL INTERMISSION

Update 1.4

Hey guys, long time no read. I know it's been a while, and as much as I'd love to post a new chapter, that's still in the works.

First off, please don't threaten me for the massive delay. I know, I know, it's been a long wait, but I have to get and keep my life in order, and that hasn't been easy.

Second, I was able to find a job, so that's going to take up plenty of my time and is a part of the reason that it's taken so long to bounce back to this. It's not many hours, but it's graveyard shift, so double yay. I have bills and debts to pay off, so go easy on me.

Third, I'm struggling mentally. Either my thoughts are a thousand balloons floating about in the breeze that I can't seem to catch hold of, or they're a massive boulder that are exhausting to try picking up. There is no in between. So please, patience. I haven't stopped writing, but it's been a struggle to keep my thoughts cohesive and focused. And no amount of extra coffee seems to be helping.

Fourth, physically, I'm doing a lot better. Doctors still don't know what's wrong with me, but it's become more and more manageable. So, some good news.

Fifth, I'm almost finished with the first chapter of Arc 2, and the moment I'm done with that, I'll have Arc 1's 'Status' page posted. So it shouldn't be too long now before I give out a more official update.

Sixth, the 'Playlist' I made for this story is out on Spotify, so feel free to give it a listen. It's listed as "Resonance- SteinMon" under "SteinMon". It may change with time, but that's normal. I occasionally add or shift stuff around, pending on how I feel about a song or just music in general.

Fanfic e-mail seems to finally be working again, and my entire inbox suddenly blew up with notifications, so I'm sorting through that. I'm not gonna bitch, I'm just glad it's up and running again.

I'm happy to say that I think I've narrowed down the pairing for Marcus, even if I'm still juggling the fence on a few prospects. Please note, that our boy Marcus is a good man, and let their be no doubt that he is walking the route of monogamy. No multiple partners; never mind that I wouldn't know how to make that possible for a character in fiction, much less in real-life. Once he has his partner, I'mma keepin' it faithful like. There really wasn't any doubt about it, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

That being said, I have cemented other pairings (I won't SPOIL them), and will be working on those in the background as they come up. It made me sad that some characters were just left to their tragic stories, and I won't stand for this! SOME CHARACTERS NEED LOVE TOO! I will try to make the relationships as organic as possible, but I'm not good at writing those, so please don't torch and pitchfork my humble shack if I do mess it up. If I ever seem like I'm slipping too far into Rom-Com territory, feel free to throw a rock through my window though (no bricks, lest my head be in the way).

I write foremost what I think I will enjoy reading; and I'm starting to learn to post, not just to vent through my stories, but to entice joy in whoever gives my stories the time of day. There are few things like knowing I can brighten someone else's day, or provide them a temporary escape, even if just for a few minutes at a time.

I haven't forgotten about you guys, so just a little more patience. I have to live, make money, and then spend that money on bills too. It sucks, but its life.
