(WHAT-IF Naruto was Link? - Season 5)

(Evaluation & Burning Time)

To take upon the evaluation test, the girls did excellently well, meanwhile Sasuke and Naruto were busy watching and had a Ramen Bowl to-go.

Naruto remembering WHY he even liked Ramen, enjoyed the Ramen. Although, waiting was never in his book of morals.

After testing Team 7 (Malon, Zelda and Sakura), Kakashi tested Naruto and Sasuke, although, probably went easy on them since he doesn't want to be blasted by Sasuke or be chopped by Naruto. But of course, it was only a cause of not taking his opponents seriously. And he saw what would happen clearly when he would try a game of tag with Naruto.

You see, to Naruto, it's a game of tag, and then a mystery of who's missing. To Kakashi, it's like playing with paper dolls with a Box of Matches… It would've been easier if Naruto took his lectures seriously, but the problem was, personally, Naruto doesn't know Kakashi, and Kakashi only knows Naruto by what the people say, and some of them are mixed reviews. When somebody tried killing Naruto, Naruto would just think it's a Rogue Ninja, and slay them.

Unfortunately, it did hurt the villager. However, the thing that hurt him was just a Deku Nut. Even the Paramedic Ninjas would just fine him as much as it would take IF Naruto were to ACTUALLY cut him. But the bill alone would be the lesson learnt.

And even so, Kakashi would still need to know a way to promote Naruto and Sasuke without telling the public they have Gods among them. As of now, Kakashi, Hiruzen, Iruka, Teuchi and some others who saw the bondage between Naruto and Sasuke, and possibly Zelda (without her revealing to people) could tell these kids are actually gods.

However, when witnessing the other god among them, Teuchi saw Ganondorf blasting out of the sky, and saw the bitter malice inside him. However, it doesn't mean that he could possibly go around and go dancing with Ganondorf within a game of power. He may be strong, but Ganondorf has something within Naruto and Sasuke that keeps them strong and alive. From what he could tell, Hiruzen got too greedy with the force inside Naruto and somehow summoned that beast… So the one here to blame, even with all the complaints of the villagers, is Hiruzen and everyone inside it who wants Naruto dead…

However, when Naruto and Sasuke left to get Ramen Buckets, Teuchi immediately saw that Kurama's sealed inside the sword that messed up not one, but TWO CYCLES OF POWER; a cycle of chakra, and a cycle of light.

Though he wouldn't worry about it too much, something tells him that it's up to Kurama to channel light.

And even so, everyone passed to some degree.

(Assignment - Part 1 - No More Low-Rank Missions)

While Naruto and Sasuke were disqualified, it only allowed them to work as Professional Ninjas/Warriors. While Sakura was tagging along with the Konoha God Duo, she immediately saw the flaw of working D-Rank Missions, which were mostly fetching cats.

And so, Naruto invited Sakura, Zelda and Malon to come along.

And without a thought, they were put on a C-Rank Mission, to escort Tazuna, the Master Bridge-Builder, back to the Land of Waves.

So it was Kakashi, Team 7 Girls, Naruto and Sasuke.

(Memory - The Time Naruto Fought a Lynel)

Naruto and Sasuke were doing some same D-Rank Missions, fetching the cats. Which Naruto would do with ease while Sasuke does nothing but help Naruto locate the cats, while simultaneously, getting paid with Naruto. Think of this as a side hustle when there's no monsters spawning.

So what happened was… One day, Naruto hunted for a cat. Sasuke stood by a picket fence and watched as Naruto was THIS CLOSE to getting a cat. But unfortunately, the cat morphed into a Half-Lion and Half-Horse with a hint of a Human shape of beast!

Sasuke's eyes widened as he saw the transformation right in front of his eyes! Sasuke thought of helping Naruto, but he figured he should let Naruto test this new monster, with a hint of help. Sasuke would need to buy time for Naruto, and he does so by picking up a rock and cooking it into his hands until they become Meteors with Din's Fire Style Jutsu.

Naruto would draw his Master Sword, until he found out that the Lynel, TOO, has his own sword. And so Naruto dashed into the beast and tried cutting, but the beast punted Naruto back by thrusting his sword out and tossing Naruto back, ragdolling like a sock.

The Lynel charged at Naruto as Naruto got back and charged a Kurama Slash and he cut into the Lynel, but the Lynel was stronger with much bulkier defense! He slashes back at Naruto, injuring him, but alas, it was a clone!

Naruto charged from behind the Lynel and swiped from behind, but the Lynel kicked with the force of a horse's kick by the rear legs and had Naruto crashing onto a picket fence!

When the Lynel turned around, Naruto slowly, with pain, drank a Red Potion, and that's when Sasuke would chuck a Hot Meteor at him! Running at Sasuke with a Sword, Sasuke tossed some Shirikens at him and leaped over him.

Sasuke landed on the Lynel's back, riding him like a horse which gave Sasuke the opportunity to cut him, but as he tried, it became bull riding! Naruto, getting up and healing, saw Sasuke buying time.

Charging up a Full Power Kurama Slash, the Lynel tossed Sasuke into another Picket Fence! At the same time, Naruto Kurama Slashed at the Lynel, striking him down with extreme power!

Sasuke gets up and lobs a bottle of oil onto the Lynel and ignites him! The Lynel, in pain, gets up and picks up Naruto and Sasuke, one per arm and hand, and rides all over the village, ramming the two into different objects! Naruto and Sasuke being dragged onto steel drums, wooden fences, and bushes, slowly felt aching pain.

By the encounter, Hinata and Rock Lee caught notice and were gobsmacked as Naruto and Sasuke were being dragged as lifeless dolls as the Lynel was about to give it one more go around the village. It wasn't until the owner appeared and called the Lynel by their name. The Lynel looked at the owner, and the owner saw that her cat had become a monster. She wasn't sad or angered, she smiled and hugged the Lynel. The Lynel, without a thought, hugs his owner as he drops Naruto and Sasuke, both deeply wounded with bruises and minor broken bones. The owner paid Naruto and Sasuke with money on their chests while taking the Lynel home.

Meanwhile, Hinata and Rock Lee called the Paramedics.

It took 2 days for both of them to heal with some Bone Broth and exercise.

Without reason, Naruto and Sasuke, as well as Hinata, Rock Lee and even NEJI left that Lynel alone.

Today, the Lynel helps move boxes and carriages and lives for the owner to make up stories about how her cat defeated two Konoha Prodigy Ninjas, mostly exaggerated.

(Assignments - Part 2 - Tazuna Escorting)

While escorting Tazuna into the Land of Waves. Team 7 learns about the history of the place.

As Naruto was closely being punched by a Poison Gauntlet into the Stomach, he utilized something Zelda gave him, a Shield!

Naruto placed the shield in front of himself to parry the attack, as Kakashi quickly made work of them and got answers out of them.

Learning how the Land of Waves was taken by a Shipping Magnate named Gato, Naruto took the offer of training when he got there.

Kakashi, doing the best he could to train Team 7, could see Naruto and Sasuke using this Tree Climbing Technique. Training all 5 Ninjas, Kakashi knew Naruto would get interested with this technique as Naruto kept practicing.

(What happened during the first encounter of Zabuza and Haku?)

Apparently, they sensed a lot of power coming from Sasuke and Naruto, almost like god powers. And so, by giving them some time, they'll have to learn about how to separate the Wild Kid and the Fire God by themselves. Haku had an idea, but he'll have to take Sasuke, leaving Zabuza with Naruto. Zabuza agrees and decides to go with the plan.

(Sasuke Vs Haku, Kakashi Vs Zabuza)

After resting in the Land of Waves, positioning themselves, Zelda and Sakura stayed behind to watch over the Family of the house, as two thugs came to kidnap Inari's Mother, but just as they opened the door, Sakura and Zelda both shot an Ice Arrow and a Light Arrow, respectively, killing both of the henchmen with ease. Realizing she killed somebody, Sakura felt a little unnerved, that was until Zelda reassured her for her help.

Meanwhile back at the bridge, Sasuke and Haku dueled. Surprisingly, Sasuke could keep up with Haku's speed and Haku could match the power of Sasuke in terms of chakra, but Sasuke reveals he's using a tiny fraction of his power and revealed his Fire Wings that he got by expelling his chakra through his back.

However, Haku used his ace Technique, Demonic Crystal Ice Mirrors! As Haku understands, this is a perfect way to end Sasuke's Fire.

(Ninja Science - Ice Crystal Igloo Technology)

Just as the crystal dome is made to trap heat, using Sasuke's Godly Heatwave Jutsu would basically toast Haku, but also ROAST Sasuke inside as well. So to hurt Haku, he'll have to rely on other elements to stop him, otherwise, Fire will only grill Sasuke.

(Naruto Vs Gato & Colossal Electric Blue Chu Chu Jelly Monster)

Where was Naruto all this time?

He was basically facing off against Gato and his men by himself.

But what Naruto did not realize, they had an economy of Chu Chu Jelly Monster growing on a Tree. Summoning up 100 Chu Chu Jelly, it all fused into one colossal Electric Blue Chu Chu Jelly Monster!

It was another Boss Naruto didn't need to do before facing Gato and his men. Deciding to take him on while he's target dancing with the beast, Gato's Men tried beating up Naruto.

Naruto had never seen Blue Chu Chu Jellies, especially when touching it with his sword, feeling electrocuted by the first slash, earning laughter from Gato's Men and Gato himself.

While simultaneously beating up and defeating Gato's Men, Naruto drops a Deku Nut, blinding everyone around him, including the Chu Chu Jelly! Stunning it!

The Chu Chu Jelly stood stiff as Naruto slashed combos on it as Gato ordered not to let Naruto kill it, but somebody pulled out a Gust Jar, reeling in Naruto from landing a killing blow and allowing the Land's Water heal the beast. Naruto slashing the Gust Jar holder, takes the Jar for himself and sucks in all of Gato's men's weapons and spits them out at the Chu Chu Jelly Monster, however the monster eats the weapons by absorbing them. Gato's Men tried to pummel Naruto by orders of Gato, but Naruto cut them, enraged with Kurama's Sword Power. Slicing each one, one by one, Naruto was down to Gato and used the Gust Jar to suck him in, and spit him into the Chu Chu Jelly Monster.

Using the Gust Jar to his advantage now, Naruto cleans up the mess and kills Gato along with the Giant Blue Chu Chu Jelly Monster!

Using a Fire Arrow, Naruto ignites the dead Chu Chu Jelly, making a Blue Mist.

(Sasuke Vs Haku)

While Zabuza and Kakashi were fighting, Sasuke was cooking himself alive. Haku would use Ice Senbon, but the Senbon would melt because of the Godly Heatwave Radiation would melt them even through the mirrors.

Sasuke was suffering really badly.

Sakura and Zelda came back to see Sasuke under the kekkei genkai. Malon tried finding Sasuke, but if she used a Fire Jutsu, she'd cook Sasuke faster.

And so, after a talk with Sakura, Malon horse kicked a bottom mirror, releasing heat from the igloo-like structure, seeing Sasuke suffering, sweating intensely!

Zelda shoots a Light Arrow into a Crystal Ice Mirror and it reflects everything until the Mirror breaks revealing a blinded Haku, rubbing his eyes from the blinding light.

As the Blue Mist rolled by, everyone was healed.

Kakashi and Zabuza, as well as Haku and Sasuke, feeling their deepest wounds fully healed and chakra replenished, gave it one more go, until Kakashi identified the mist as soothing and wondered if it's one of Zabuza's tricks. Zabuza revealed his mist is only to conceal. Sakura revealed that it was Blue Potion Fog, as Zelda confirms it, from a dead Blue Chu Chu Jelly Monster. Everyone tried to piece it together, but it came to one conclusion… Naruto.

Naruto walked down the bridge, with the head of Gato in his hand, gripping it by the hair. Zabuza, Haku, Team 7 and the Villagers were stunned, but Inari saw the whole duel with Naruto versus Gato, his men and some big monster that Naruto evaporated to heal everyone.

Kakashi clapped his hands to find that Naruto was the one to end Gato. Zabuza and Haku looked at Naruto and saw potential in him. You see, these two work for Gato, but now that he's gone, they're free. Zelda explains to Zabuza and Haku about Ganondorf and his malice existing and possibly the cause of Gato's Ganon Monster.

Zabuza and Haku agreed the situation is bad, but as of today, they'll rest and find someplace and maybe get their hands on some essence to rid the Land of Waves of Ganon's Monsters. And Zabuza takes Gato's head from Naruto and thanks Naruto for his rescue, as both he and Haku left to wherever to find the Wild Lands, but before they left, Naruto handed Haku a Boko Stick.

The bridge was fully built days later and was almost dubbed the Great Naruto Bridge, but Naruto, somewhere in his head, didn't ring well. As you can see, he knew Kakashi and Sasuke bought time while Naruto dealt with the real deal.

Zelda decided to dub it "Champion Bridge" for Champion Link/Naruto and Champion Sasuke for holding their own grounds as was their master Kakashi. Sakura couldn't agree more, but Malon agreed to the Great Naruto Bridge. However, it was simply dubbed The Great Naruto-Link Bridge.

Coming home, Team Seven took some rest. Sasuke and Naruto went back to training as Naruto revealed to Sasuke about his Gust Jar. Sasuke couldn't be anymore confused as if this was the tool used to defeat a Giant Chu Chi Jelly.

Naruto shrugged as he wondered how many tools are out there to help him and his ninja allies to defeat Ganondorf.

Sasuke wondered if his arsenal would become bigger and valuable, something more than a simple vacuum cleaner.

And that concludes the First Series of What-If Naruto was Link? It'll continue! However, I'm sure from the land of Hyrule there will be more Ganon Monsters!

As of now, I wonder who will show up in Naruto, or who will be blessed by the TriForce?

As of now, the Chunin Exams will begin!
