The emerald ring. An ancient weapon that has been told to tiny villagers across the land. They have said that whoever wields the ring will gain tremendous power. However, it is said that the ring has a mind of its own. It only reveals itself to a person that is brave and just, and for centuries, it has stayed dormant. Many have spent their entire lives searching for it but none have come close. Countless tyrants, thieves, crooks, mob bosses, and more have tried and all have failed. However, our main character, Ethan, is a new person to this world.

Growing up in a small town in Ravenwood with his family he had always dreamed of something more. Everything he tried he always felt like he failed. He had a father, but he would come home and neglect him. He had a mother, but she was too busy working to even care what her own son was up to. He had a sister, but she was away at college, and even when she was home she was too busy talking to a new boy each week to care what he did. So what does a young man, that had a family that neglected him and paid zero attention to him daily, do with his time? Play video games. Yes you heard that right, video games. If you don't like reality then go to a new one. That's exactly what Ethan did with his free time when he wasn't working out, going out on drives, or working at his shitty part time job. While his life may be normal to some, he wanted to be different.

Ethan is tall and athletic, with a build that shows his strength and agility. His sharp hazel eyes and confident posture reflect his natural leadership. His brown hair is often short and windswept, and his tanned skin indicates his active, outdoor lifestyle. He has calloused hands from his workouts and part time job and he prefers practical, comfortable clothing in earthy tones.

So it was just a normal day when Ethan sat down at his desk and booted up his PC to play some video games. However, one game caught his eye, that beautiful pixelated launcher, the game he always played for a month straight each year without fail. This game had hours upon hours of hard word, sweat, and a few tears(mostly at diamonds falling into lava). Minecraft… the game that has been with him through friend groups, late nights after drinking, early morning grinding sessions, and the countless updates that came with them. It was only natural that he would start playing Minecraft after a long day at work.

'Fucking Chelsey being annoying all day long, I really wish I could fire her.' Ethan thought while he double clicked the Minecraft launcher. Once the game loaded an update screen popped up. 'Man has it really been that long since I have played this game?' Ethan shrugged and clicked 'update' but a second later the screen turned black.

"Wait, what the fuck?" Ethan looked at his PC and it was running still. He looked back to his monitor and he clicked the power button and it was still black. He waited a second before clicking it again and it turned back on, but it was still pitch black. "Fuckkkkk, don't tell me it's broke" Ethan groaned before reaching out to his monitor and attempting to hit the screen to see if that would work. However, instead his arm went through the screen, and then it kept going. "What the fuck?" was the last thing he said before he started to feel a pull and his arm was pulled all the way to his shoulder. "WHAT THE FUCK?!" Ethan struggled, trying to pull his arm back, but the force was too strong. Before he could react, he was yanked through the screen entirely, tumbling headfirst into darkness. His vision blurred as he felt himself falling, the sensation overwhelming his senses. When he finally landed, it was not with a crash but with a surprisingly soft thud.

Blinking rapidly, Ethan found himself in a world unlike any he'd seen before. He was no longer in his room, no longer on Earth. The landscape around him was pixelated, the sky a blocky blue, the trees and grass composed of neat, square blocks. Ethan had somehow been transported into the very game he had been trying to play: Minecraft.

Ethan stood up, brushing off the blocky dirt from his clothes, and looked around in astonishment. He took a tentative step forward, feeling the ground beneath his feet, solid yet distinctly artificial. He glanced at his hands, noticing they too had taken on the pixelated form. "This can't be real," he muttered, a mix of excitement and fear bubbling within him.

Ethan shook his head, trying to clear the disbelief clouding his thoughts. "This is impossible," he murmured, his voice echoing in the pixelated landscape. He reached down and touched the grass, feeling its strange, blocky texture. He punched a nearby tree, wincing as his hand bounced back with a dull thud. The familiarity of the actions, so routine in the game, now felt surreal and disorienting. "I'm really in Minecraft," he whispered, a mix of awe and confusion washing over him. "How is this even happening?"

As he surveyed the familiar yet surreal landscape, he spotted something glinting in the distance, an emerald-green sparkle that seemed out of place in the otherwise familiar game world. "What… is that?" Curiosity got the better of Ethan cautiously made his way toward the shimmering object, his curiosity outweighing his apprehension. As he drew closer, he realized it was not just any emerald, but an intricately designed ring, nestled atop a pedestal of ancient, moss-covered stone block.

As he approached, Ethan's heart raced with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. The emerald ring seemed to emit a faint, pulsating glow, casting an ethereal light in the surrounding pixelated landscape. He reached out a trembling hand, his fingers inches away from the radiant jewel. A voice echoed in his mind, soft yet commanding, as if beckoning him closer. "Come brave one," it whispered, the words resonating deep within him. Ethan hesitated, unsure of what lay ahead, but the allure of the ring was irresistible. With a steady breath, he closed his fingers around the ring and a surge of power started to course through him as he lifted the ring from its resting place. It was heavier than he expected, but as he slipped the ring onto his finger, it became light as a feather, as if it was made specifically for his hand. The ring emitted a bright light that nearly blinded Ethan, and he felt his hand gain something new. After his eyes adjusted to the bright light it seemed to dim and slowly returned to normal.

As the light faded, Ethan found himself clutching not a ring, but a shimmering emerald sword, its blade reflecting the soft glow of the surrounding landscape. With a mixture of awe and determination, he raised the sword, marveling at its weightlessness in his hand. Without hesitation, he turned towards a nearby tree, his heart pounding with anticipation. With a swift slice, the emerald blade slicing effortlessly through the air. As it made contact with the tree trunk, there was no resistance; the blade cut through the wood like butter, cleaving the tree cleanly in half. Ethan stood in amazement, his breath caught in his throat, as he realized the true power he now possessed. "This is..." He breathed out, his voice tinged with excitement, "...FUCKING INCREDIBLE!" Ethan's eyes widened with amazement as he marveled at the emerald sword in his hand. A rush of exhilaration surged through him, igniting a fire of determination deep within his soul. With a grin spreading across his face, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the possibilities that are now before him. Gripping the sword tighter, he began to do what any normal Minecraft player would do… mass deforestation.
