Hi! It's been a while! So, I used to write under the account BecaEffinMitchell47, and I haven't posted in a few years honestly. College and work and life just got in the way but I'm taking a break from everything to write again. Shying away from the novel, I got this idea in my head and just needed to get it out. This will be a multi-chapter fic, and I plan on updating whenever I can. I appreciate any and all support, Please review, let me know what youd like to see in this fic, what characters you'd like me to introduce, whatever! It's good to be back!

Chloe shuffles through the door to the stuffy auditorium, shedding her sweater immediately as she finds a seat in the center of the class. She waves to Aubrey and Stacie as they walk in, their eyes meeting hers as she points to the seats beside her.

"Hi, are you guys excited?" Chloe flashes her signature mega-watt smile as they sit, giving Aubrey's arm a quick squeeze. Stacie snorts.

"I'd tone down the enthusiasm, Chlo. I hear that the new music theory teacher is one of the best in the country, and she's extremely hard on her students." Chloe just shrugs.

"I think it's gonna be great, we're going to do great guys." Aubrey smiles and they unpack their things, watching as a few more students file in. Chloe glances around, noticing how many students are in this class.

"Is it just me, or is this class insanely large?" One of the girls behind Chloe taps her shoulder.

"It's because someone met Dr. Mitchell last week, and apparently she's super hot and talented. Like, she's produced actual songs that are on the radio." Chloe quirks a brow.

"On the radio? Like she's famous?"

The girl just shrugs and goes back to her laptop. Chloe opens up her laptop, preparing to google her professor, but the class goes quiet and she glances up. A small, brunette girl walks in, slinging the bag from her shoulder and unpacking her laptop and a few things on the spare desk next to the teachers' desk. She hears one of the guys in the back whistle softly as she takes off her flannel, showing off tattooed arms in a black tank top. Chloe agrees. The girl was hot, really hot. Long, brunette hair curled down her shoulders, and her tight black jeans left nothing to the imagination. The dark red flannel and black boots gave her an edgier look, something Chloe didn't know before she walked into this class that she was into.

"She must be the T.A," Aubrey whispers from beside her. "She's younger than us, I wonder how she's in this class already." Chloe nods softly, still watching the girl. She was tying her hair up into a bun, her hair moving from her shoulders to show more tattoos inching down her shoulders and onto her back.

"I hope she's here all the time, she's hot." Stacie whispers from beside Aubrey, Chloe giggles, watching as Aubrey smacks her hand softly. "What? I still love you, Bree, but come on, look at her."

Chloe looks back towards the girl, watching as she grabs chalk from the board and starts writing out the teacher's name. 'Dr. Beca Mitchell' Something about the confidence in the way she starts setting up her laptop and grabbing sheets to start passing to the students just shakes Chloe's nerves. And as the girl hands a stack of papers to a guy in the bottom row, she looks up and makes eye contact with Chloe. She feels a blush spread on her cheeks as the girl smiles softly, and Chloe gets her first real look at the girl's face. Stacie was totally right. This girl is hot. So hot that Chloe is literally getting flustered and that never happens. If anyone asked, Chloe was totally confident about herself, and she prided herself on going after who she wanted. But right now, this girl was making Chloe, of all people, feel so insanely shy. She was definitely talking to her after class. Aubrey nudged her arm and she looked over to the stack of papers being shoved in her face, taking one and passing it to the row behind her.

The class settled after everyone had gotten a sheet, watching her as she watched the class back. She made eye contact with every student in the room, (and if Chloe wasn't mistaken) she lingered a little longer on Chloe. Someone in the back of the room cleared their throat, and the girl's eyes snapped up to the guy slowly raising his hand.

"Yes?" The girl asked. Chloe was pretty sure she heard Aubrey and Stacie both sigh quietly. Even this girl's voice was hot. She had only said one word, and most of the class was already leaning forward in their seats. She glanced back up to the guy who had raised his hand, slowly lowering it back down.

"Uh.. sorry. I was just, um.. wondering when Dr. Mitchell would be here? I guess.." The girl nodded.

"I'm just getting a feel for the room. I apologize for not starting sooner." Chloe leaned forward, putting her chin in her hand. Her eyes solely focused on the way the brunette sat slightly against the teachers' desk, her left leg coming to cover her right one, folding her arms across her chest.

"My name is Beca Mitchell. You can call me Beca, Dr. Mitchell, Dr. B, I literally don't give a shit. I'll be your teacher for Philosophy in Music Theory."

The hand Chloe was using to hold her chin wobbled slightly as her jaw dropped. There was no way this girl was their teacher. OR a doctor of music theory. She was barely mid- twenties. Apparently she wasn't the only one shocked as she watched the girl (Beca?) laugh softly and shake her head.

"I understand it's a little hard to believe, please, ask me any questions you'd like. I'd like to take this class to learn a little more about you guys and you to learn more about me." Almost every hand in the class went up. Beca laughed again. "Please just say your name when I call on you so I can just pretend today to know who I'm talking to. This is a pretty big class." She pointed her finger at Chloe, who didn't have her hand up. She sat a little straighter before hearing a throat clear as Aubrey dropped her hand.

'Oh, thank God she wasn't calling on me,' Chloe thought. She didn't think she could find any moisture in her mouth after watching Beca for 15 minutes. Aubrey cleared her throat again before speaking.

"Aubrey Posen. No offense, but how old are you?" Chloe nudged Aubrey slightly as Beca laughed softly again.

"None taken, I'm 23 years old. I know I'm a little young to teach you guys but I know a lot about music, I hope you'll learn a lot from me." Aubrey opened her mouth to ask another question but Beca had already pointed to someone else on the other side of the classroom.

"Hey, Benji Applebaum." Beca gave him a polite nod as he waved and stood. "I was just wondering, um, where'd you go to school? What your doctorate is in?" He sat quickly after noticing everyone in the class watching with rapt attention. Beca nodded again and uncrossed her arms, sliding them in the front pockets of her jeans.

"Not gonna lie to you, Benji, I hate that question." Chloe glanced over at Benji to see him look down at his hands in embarrassment. "No, no, I'm sorry. It's a good question I just hate talking about that because it sounds like I'm bragging and I'm totally not." She laughed once more and Chloe is pretty sure she actually swooned at the musical tone of her laugh.

"So, I graduated high school at age 13, I actually came here to Barden for college. My father is also a professor here, he teaches literature." She paused as some students hummed in recognition. "I got my first degree at 17. A bachelor's degree in ethnomusicology, followed by my bachelor's in music theory at 19. Then I got my doctorate's degree in both concentrations just last year." Chloe's jaw dropped once again. "So, technically, I'm a double doctorate, but I don't like to say that, it sounds like I'm showing off."

She didn't even realize she had her hand up until she watched (is life going in slo-motion right now?) as Beca's eyes gravitated towards hers and they locked eyes.

"Um.. hi." Beca smiled as Chloe dropped her hand.

"Hi." There was silence for a second before Beca spoke again. "Do you have a question?" Chloe nodded quickly.

"Yes, sorry. Um, I heard from someone that you were famous." Beca was silent, only quirking an eyebrow up slightly.

"Is that a question, Miss…?" Chloe felt her mouth go dry again. She swallowed and spoke again.

"Beale. Chloe Beale." Beca nodded once. "And not really, no." Her insides were melting watching as Beca studied her quietly. Her stare was just so.. intense. She couldn't think at all right now. "Um… can you elaborate on that? Whether that's true or anything?" Beca nodded, and glanced around the class again before locking eyes with Chloe once more.

"So… technically, yes. Again, this is not me bragging." She held up her hands as some of the class laughed with her. "But, I have produced about 35 tracks that have been on the radio, I've worked on a few widely known albums, and I do everything under a pretty well known alias. At this point, there's no secret who I am, but you'll all have to google that later, no phones in class please." Beca crossed her arms over her chest again and looked around the room. Every hand in the class had gone down, and she was just giving them a moment to adjust.

Chloe might as well just keep her jaw on the ground. This girl was insanely talented, insanely hot. Was she also secretly an angel or something, like no one was this perfect.

"Yes?" Chloe looked around the room to see who had rose their hand, noticing this time it was Stacie.

"Hi, Stacie Conrad. You're hot." Beca laughed loudly with the rest of the class. Of course Stacie would be the one to say that out loud in a room of 45 plus people.

"I appreciate that, Miss Conrad. Do you have a question, though?" Stacie nodded her head.

"Can you sing?"
