Mushroom Kingdom - Toad Town
Toad Town, the capital of Mushroom Kingdom, now under Fawful and Cackletta's control, the town was empty during Bowser's latest attack, forcing the Toads to evacuate, when Fawful and Cackletta arrived they used Bowser's former minions to find all the Toads who are hiding around the kingdom and brainwashed them into citizens loyal to Fawful and Cackletta. And the town is heavily guarded by Bowser's former minions. Things are free from problems right now, but Fawful is about to face fierce opposition from the heroes that arrived here...or you need to really stretch the definition of heroes as the ones who arrived here are Bowser, Ganondorf, Wolf, Bowser Jr. With his clown car, Mewtwo, and Dark Pit, the entire team consists of morally ambiguous individuals who have done unpleasant things in the past, with some still doing it even now.
"Here we are arrived at last at Toad Town ! Which soon will be mine !" Roared Bowser.
"Yeah, looks like someone beat you to it." Dark Pit pointed at the golden statue in the middle of the city, a statue of Fawful and Cackletta.
"Grrrr...that accursed pea have been a thorn on my side for far too long ! It's time someone stand up to him and give him his just dessert !" Yelled the Koopa King while clenching his fist.
"I've seen the Mushroom Kingdom as one of the stages during the tournament, so this is the full view, not that much different from Hyrule." Commented Ganondorf.
"Hmm...yes, and once I'm done with Mushroom Kingdom annexing Hyrule does sound intriguing." Bowser stroking his chin fantasizing of conquering Hyrule.
"That's right dad, we will build a very powerful empire !" Jr. His son wholeheartedly agreed with Bowser.
"Yeah great ambition, I could offer you my assistance with the right price of course." Added Wolf making a rubbing his index and middle finger with his thumb.
("Better not too greedy Bowser, there's always someone to stop you should your ambition knows no bounds.") Advices Mewtwo.
"Hmph, I may have hard time dealing with Mario, but I doubt the others will be that hard !" Bowser scoffed at the idea of being defeated by someone else. "But first things first Fawful is my highest priority."
"Right, so you're dealing with the guy who stole your castle and army from you, how exactly ?" Questioned Dark Pit.
"Simple, I'll kill him, that should fix everything." Answered Bowser proudly which the others can only stare dumbfounded. "And then my minions will return to normal and come back to serving me once again. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA !"
"You really believe it will be that simple ? A powerful sorcerer knows how to create a eternally spanning curse, what makes you think he don't know a way already ?" Asked Ganondorf speaking from experience.
"He's not using magic, he's using some kind of weird gas to brainwash my minions !" Bowser rebuking Ganondorf.
"All the more reason not to just kill him if it's made by science, first we need to know a way to reverse the effect from the creator, once that done then you can kill him." Added Wolf.
("Shouldn't we be looking for Dracula's minions ? We shouldn't be sidetracked with our mission.") Mewtwo reminded the team of their objective.
"Huh !? Look here, Dracula has minions serving as his army, and I have the Koopa Troop to serve as my army ! Once we defeat Fawful and get my minions back we can double, or even quadruple our fighting forces ! So getting my minions back is also a top priority !" Replied Bowser, which Mewtwo realize what Bowser said have a point.
"Guess we have an objective, now how should we achieve it ? Was this place that heavily guarded before ?" Dark Pit looking the Town situation.
"No, that's because those are my minions guarding the Town ! They never have a toll booth here" Bowser angrily pointed at the two Koopa Troopas stationed at the Town entrance using a toll booth.
Angry with what he saw Bowser walk toward the toll booth.
("Bowser wait, are you really just barge in like that ? We don't know how many of your minions stationed here, revealing our presence now will alert the enemy.") Warned Mewtwo.
"Then what's your plan then !" Bowser growled at Mewtwo.
("This !") Mewtwo teleport in front of the two Koopa Troopas.
"Hold it right there ! If you want to enter Fawful Town you need to pay an entry fee." Demanded one of the Koopa Troopa.
("I have a better idea.") Mewtwo used it's psychic powers to try to break the mind control, the Koopa Troopas clutching their head in pain, but soon afterwards they're free from the brainwashing.
"What happened ? Why are we at Toad Town ? Are we here for another invasion attempt ?" Asked Koopa Troopa 1.
"Maybe, but I don't remember...oh right we were, Lord Bowser succeed in getting rid of Mario and about to marry Princess Peach, then there was that strange bright lights, but after that I don't remember anything." Answered Koopa Troopa 2 trying to recall his memories.
The two Koopas then looked at Mewtwo, they're very intimidated by the Pokemon intimidating presence.
"Aaah ! I don't know who it what you are, but if you're trying to ruin Lord Bowser happily ever after you have to go through us !" Koopa Troopa 1 spouting empty threats by making a brave face while he's really terrified on the inside.
("I see, I guess Bowser wasn't exaggerating when he says his minions undyingly loyal to him. There's no need for that, Bowser and I are on the same side.") Mewtwo tried to deescalate the situation.
The two Koopa Troopas glanced at each other, but they don't believe in Mewtwo's answer. "Oh yeah, if you're an ally of Lord Bowser prove it !"
"What if I show you my presence instead." Bowser came out from hiding alongside Bowser Jr. To prove Mewtwo's words.
Seeing this the two Koopa Troopas are shocked and kneel in front of Bowser. "Lord Bowser, young master you're here ! When did you leave the castle ?"
"Stand up you two, you didn't remember anything ?" Asked Bowser.
"No we don't, what exactly happened ? We were at your wedding and then there were this bright light, after that everything's a blur." Answered Koopa 1.
("That must've been when Fawful brainwashed them.") Deduced Mewtwo. ("We don't exactly know when Fawful brainwashed your minions.")
"What ! Fawful's back ! And he brainwashed us again !? My Lord we're very sorry !" The two Koopa begging for Bowser's forgiveness.
"Calm down, I don't blame you for this, all of this are Fawful's doing, and he will pay for this !" Declared Bowser. "Still to think you're able to free my minions from Fawful mind control."
("I figure now is the right time to do it, since Fawful isn't here he can't re-brainwash your minions, and the fact that there's no one else is here the citizens won't be able to report anything suspicious.") Answered Mewtwo.
"You two really don't remember anything when you're under Fawful's control ?" Asked Jr
"Sorry young master, we really don't." Answered Koopa 1.
("Maybe I can do something about this.") Mewtwo once again use it's psychic powers to restore the Koopas memories while they were under Fawful's control.
"We remember ! Fawful is scheduled for a meeting today inside the castle, he and Cackletta are having a meeting with a masked person !" Answered Koopa 1.
"I see so he's in the castle then, the castle that supposed to be mine, not to worry, I will defeat Fawful, undoing all his brainwashing and return everything back to normal !" Boasted Bowser.
"Alright, but this might be difficult even for you Lord Bowser, the castle is heavily guarded, and not to mention some of your high ranking minions are in there, there's also purple mushroom women wearing a pink dress, purple man in black armor, and that masked person bringing some tall dark skinned, red haired women with him, they look like they know how to fight." Warned Koopa 2.
(Tall, dark skinned red haired women ? Could it be ?) Ganondorf pondering about those description.
"Hmph, he's not the only one with powerful allies, let me show you the rest of my current minions to even the odds, hey come on out you three !" Bowser call out Ganondorf, Wolf, and Dark Pit.
"I never recall working for you." Said Ganondorf in a disapproving tone.
"So are we !" Exclaimed Wolf and Dark Pit.
"The point is we will liberate the castle from Fawful clutches, and with this line up no one can stand against us !" Exclaimed Bowser.
The two Koopas whispered to each other, commenting on how Bowser's new allies seemed intimidating, they want to ask how they know Bowser, but decided to keep quiet for the time being.
"Now you two stay here and still pretend to be under Fawful's control, this battle going to be too much for you to handle, and I don't plan on losing anyone before my army can be rebuilt understand !" Commanded Bowser.
"Yes sir ! But wait, young master, it's best if you left the clown car out here, an unauthorized use of Koopa Troop weapons will rouse suspicion." The two Koopas warn their king and prince, once Jr. Agreed to leave the clown car behind they opened the toll gate, Bowser and his allies then entered Toad Town.
Toad Town
After receiving intel from the security Koopas the 'villains' are plotting their next move, how to best approach the situation.
("I think it's best if we being stealthy, if there is a meeting, we can spy on them and find out what they're up to.") Suggested Mewtwo.
"Guess I agree with the talking cat here, being reckless only bring nothing but trouble." Dark Pit agree with Mewtwo.
"And how are we gonna do it ? We don't exactly blend in with the locals here !" Wolf pointing out the problem.
"However we're gonna do it better hurry before anyone sees us." Said Ganondorf.
"Umm is it too hard to put on a disguise ?" Added Jr.
("Disguise huh ? I can hide our forms with an illusion, but is anyone have a better idea ?) Asked Mewtwo.
Bowser currently pondering on what to do, until he come up with an idea. "I haven't done this in a while so I hope I'm not too rusty." Bowser remembering he possess magic power used it to transform everyone into his minions, Bowser and Jr. Into Koopas, Ganondorf into Boo, Mewtwo into Magikoopa, Wolf into Shy Guy, and Dark Pit into Spiny. "Perfect ! With this disguise we can sneak into the palace without arousing suspicion."
"Now I only change our forms, we still be able to use our original powers along with my minion species powers." Clarified Ganondorf.
"Why am I so small ?" Asked Spiny Dark Pit.
"Ha ha he turned you into a turtle !" Wolf laughed at Dark Pit Spiny form.
"Oh shut it ! And what are you supposed to be some masked psycho or something !?" Yelled Spiny Dark Pit.
"You had this power all along, and yet you never use it ?" Commented Boo Ganondorf.
"For your information I have successful in many of my schemes without my magic powers, Mario is just that unstoppable, and I can say the same to you about you and Link !" Bowser talking back to Ganondorf.
"Alright fine, let's just get this over with !" Ganondorf relent from further argument.
Because of their disguise Bowser and his allies able to walk around Toad Town without arousing suspicion, they finally arrived at the castle entrance. There are two Goombas standing guard in front of the castle door.
Mushroom Kingdom - Castle Entrance
"Hold it right there ! There's an important meeting inside and no one is allowed in at the moment !" Said the Goomba guards.
Bowser about to snap at his former minions ordering him around, but Jr. stop him and Mewtwo begin explaining.
("We're aware, but we just saw suspicious figures outside the kingdom during our patrols, we're here to warn Lord Fawful about the current situations, imagine what would happened if those suspicious figures launched an attack on the kingdom during the meeting, you didn't want to be held responsible for not letting us deliver this information do you ? And also I spoke telepathically to avoid suspicion, anyone could be listening at our conversation right now, that's just how careful we are.")
Hearing Mewtwo's reasonable explanation and fear of disappointing Fawful, the Goomba guards have no choice but to let them in. "Okay, okay just quickly deliver the message, Lord Fawful is at the throne room, you know the ones that used to be Princess Peach throne room."
The villains nodded and entered the castle.
(Formerly) Peach Castle - Foyer
The villains entered the castle and begin to head to the throne room, Fawful once again redecorate Peach Castle to suit his ego, there's tons of his and Cackletta statues in the foyer, who knows how many more in the other parts of the castle.
"Agh again with this statues !? We've seen a lot of them in the town already !" Wolf complained at seeing so many of Fawful and Cackletta statues again inside the palace.
"Hmph ! That guy sure has tons of ego ! A ruler must be humble, wise, and complete awesome like me !" Once again Bowser only praising himself much to everyone including his son dismay.
"So Mewtwo why did you lie to them ? Why don't you remove their brainwashing like with the Koopas guards ?" Asked Jr.
("Sorry, but that's too risky, there aren't anyone near the town entrance, but there are a lot of people inside the castle, it's be bad if they start acting out of character and they realized the brainwashing is gone.") Answered Mewtwo.
"So how are we going to save my minions if we keep doing things this way !?" Yelled Bowser.
("With Fawful still around, the best way is to take them with us and remove the brainwashing in our base where our enemies can't strike, it will deprive them the opportunity for them to re-brainwash yourinions again.") Answered Mewtwo.
"Riiight, let's just get this over with, apparently we have to we also have to watch out for some red haired amazonian-like women as well, so let's not get into unnecessary fights." Stated Dark Pit as everyone made their way to the throne room.
The castle is filled with brainwashed Toads and Bowser's minions, which actually cooperate really well, under normal circumstances meaning not brainwashed this kind of relationship is impossible to happen, it's also filled with robots that looks like Fawful, the Beanish sure love his face as not only that, many of Peach's paintings have been replaced by paintings of Fawful.
"Wow I feel sorry for Princess Peach right about know, all this hideous paintings and sculptures all over her castle." Wolf pitied Peach's castle current condition.
"Just wait until I'm done with that minion stealing psychopath, I will restore Peach's castle and the statues and paintings will be depicting us living our happily ever after." Said Bowser refusing to give up his dream of marrying Peach.
"Yeah, and dad once the wedding begin can I be the best man again ?" Asked Jr.
"Of course you can, as the part of the family of course you will have important role in our wedding." Answered Bowser confident another wedding of him and Peach will take place.
"Is this even gonna work ? You and Peach are completely different species." Dark Pit pointed out the obvious.
"Nothing can get in the way of love !" Exclaimed Bowser. "You keep on fighting until you have it !"
"I'm still very disturbed, at least you're persistent." Snarked Dark Pit.
The villains finally made it to Fawful throne room.
Fawful Castle - Right Outside the Throne Room
("Alright we're here, time to see what's the meeting is all about.") Mewtwo used it's telekinesis to quietly opens the door, of course it only open a small gap as not to alert Fawful and whoever else is inside, the villains begin to eavesdrop on the conversation.
Fawful Castle - Throne Room
Inside the room there's Fawful, Cackletta, Midbus, and his guest.
"Welcoming to my castle Master Kohga from Hyrule, and Shroob Princesses, and Tatanga, I Fawful am welcoming you to our domain." Greeted Fawful. "This is my mistress Cackletta, and my enforcer Midbus.
"Yes, not a bad of a place, just get rid of the statues and it will be an even bigger improvement." Snarked Master Kohga.
"You're so insistent, this better be good, I have yet to locate Princess Daisy." Complained Tatanga.
"Why did you call us here talking bean !? I'm glad to be away from those lava, but what are you plotting ?" Asked Elder Princess Shroob, being able to speak Mushroom Kingdom native language now.
"I proposing an alliance, oh yes a team working of differing factions just like combining of sandwich with cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce, with a foreign flavor from Hyrule.
The villains especially Ganondorf are surprised to hear the word Hyrule from Fawful's mouth.
"Did he just say Hyrule ? That Master Kohga guy is from Hyrule ?" Whispered Ganondorf softly.
"How did he get from Hyrule to Mushroom Kingdom in the first place ?" Whispered Bowser.
"And what is this alliance he speak of ?" Whispered Wolf.
"Maybe we can find out more if we keep eavesdropping." Said Dark Pit as everyone else went quiet to keep listening.
"As you all knowing most of us have been returned from the dead, we got second chance to fulfill our ambition, and as you all know there are more than just us as members of Neo Subspace Army." Stated Fawful
"Yes, among them is Andross, he and I cooperate to get rid of the Cornerian military, using the four kings of Sarasaland made the conquest easy." Said Tatanga. "And now the Cornerian military is under our control as well."
"When we're thawed from that ice prison we began to rebuilt the Shroob military, but once we break out from that basement Bowser's minions are already under your control, which makes it easier for us to rebuild our army." Explained Princess Shroob. "And we also decide to move Bowser's castle to someplace without any lava, how convenient the castle can fly."
"As for the other members, we heavily object to cooperate with them !" Yelled Elder Princess Shroob.
"Yes, we don't trust them either, which is why we're calling for this meeting, as you all know turns out there are so many worlds out there, not just one or two, but countless of them, waiting to be invaded." Explained Cackletta.
"True, the Shroobs have been desiring to expand our influence throughout the galaxy, I hate to admit it, but staying in Neo Subspace Army will make our dreams come true much easier, just look at the stuff they have and we don't." Added Princess Shroob.
"This meeting is to secure our alliance and strike down whoever oppose us, even if they're a member of Neo Subspace Army." Fawful revealing the purpose of this meeting.
"Ah, I see, right now the Neo Subspace Army is united because we have a common and not contradicting goal, but there's a chance our goals could clash with the other members." Clarified Tatanga.
"Exactly, we need to be prepared when the time comes when things are going to be shaky." Said Fawful.
"And why us exactly ? Is it because we have history with this world ?" Asked Princess Shroob.
"Yes, that's correct I read the history of Mushroom Kingdom, seeing what kind attack they've endured so far, and when I heard of the Shroobs I just know you're exactly the one we need." Answered Fawful.
"And Tatanga able to singlehandedly invade an empire in this world also fascinates me." Added Cackletta.
"If that's true then why is Master Kohga here ?" Tatanga pointed at the Yiga leader.
"After since Hades tempered with space turns out Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule are closely linked to one another, which is why Master Kohga will be our backup from another world." Explained Fawful.
"And that is why I'm here you rude, skeptical purple alien ! Clearly my aid are very valuable !" Boast the Yiga leader. "With the dimensional tunnel linking our world's and many other together enacting our plan will be easy."
"And also another important reason why I call for this meeting was I'm sure all of us here except for Kohga have experience with a certain plumber named Mario, he is our primary threat, knowing the kingdom is under our rule there's no way he'll let this slide, he will come for us and when he do, we will be ready, Mario may have bested us individually, but together not even he can stop us altogether !" Fawful declaration made everyone in the room shout in unison as they do have common hatred in Mario except for Kohga.
Hearing what has transpired the villains have collected more than enough information.
"So, the shaking that Lucina mentioned when she wished for our return, it wasn't an accident or coincidence after all, Hades is behind this." Whispered Dark Pit. "That explained why we returned separated rather than together in one place."
"And that's not all, it seems the purpose of this is to create a dimensional pipeline, they could use it for many purposes, such as supply transport, escape route, calling for reinforcement, or even smuggling route if they wanted to go that far." Explained Wolf.
("The scale of the operation is much bigger than we thought, but no matter what we can't just sit by and let it happen.") Added Mewtwo.
"But there's one thing we can take advantage of, their volatile relationship." Pointed Dark Pit.
"True, if we can turn them against each other we can make things easier for us." Added Ganondorf.
"Say Mewtwo, you're a psychic right ? And you're a part of Neo Subspace Army before, Why don't you read that Kohga guy mind ? Maybe you can find out about how he got to Mushroom Kingdom ?" Asked Jr.
("We have a device that can open dimensional portals, granted it's not that powerful, so it's uses are rather limited, so we resort to using magic for travel longer distance, but with the dimensional walls are weakening thanks to Hades the device can extend their range and with the large gatherings of powerful organizations from the universe I shudder to think what kind of result their cooperation will create, but if that's not how Master Kohga got here we need to locate those portals they speak of, give me a sec, I will read Kohga's mind.") Mewtwo is about to use telepathy on Master Kohga, but before it could do so, a tall figure approach them.
"What do you think you're doing ? Eavesdropping on the meeting !?" The figure spoke in a stern voice, the villains turned around to see that it's Urbosa, the Gerudo warrior from Hyrule distant future.
"You're Urbosa ! The Gerudo from the future ! So it's you who they meant !" Exclaimed Ganondorf, which ended up blowing his cover.
"How do you know who I am ? I'm pretty sure I haven't introduce myself to anyone here !" Urbosa started to get suspicious, she then blast the villains with lightning, pushing them inside the thrown room disrupting the meeting.
Throne Room
"What's the meaning of this !" Yelled Fawful.
"I caught these creatures eavesdropping on the meeting." Announced Urbosa as she walked inside the room.
"What ! I told you to be nowhere near the throne room ! How is it you're unable to follow that simple command !?" Fawful rage on with his tirade.
("Our situation is compromised ! I'll teleport everyone out of here !") Seeing no way they can stay any longer Mewtwo wanted to teleport everyone away, but Bowser has other plans.
"Not yet ! Not until I get the satisfaction of beating this little munchkin !" Bowser remove the transformation magic and revealed their true forms.
("Bowser what do you think you're doing exposing us like this right now !") Yelled Mewtwo.
"I know what I'm doing so play along for now !" Shouted Bowser. ("Even if I fail to take down Fawful right now, I have another objective in mind.")
"What ! Bowser ! How are you here !?" Fawful shocked at what he see.
"That is not important ! What's important that you took my minions from me, and I will get my payback ! And you too you ! I will reclaim my castle next once I'm done with Fawful ! So you want to prepare against Mario do you !? Well he's not here so you have to make do with me !" Bowser charged at Fawful ready to punch him, but Midbus stepped in and hold Bowser with his strength.
Fawful using his vacuum helmet begin to broadcast an announcement. "Calling all minions ! Calling all minions ! Your king is under attack ! Head to the throne room and defend your king !"
"They're not yours to command they're mine to command !" Yelled Bowser still in grapple hold with Midbus.
"Not anymore you washed up king !" Cackletta shoot lightning at Bowser to give Midbus an edge, however Jr. Intercept the attack by creating a shield using the magic paintbrush.
Urbosa charged at Ganondorf and strike him with her blade, Ganondorf summoned a sword and block Urbosa's attack just in time. "I can feel it, you're a Gerudo, and a male Gerudo at that ! You're the evil spoken in legends ! What you are is a black mark on our history !" Urbosa infused her blade with lightning and she shoot a cresecrn shaped beam at Ganondorf, but the male Gerudo managed to teleport out of the way.
Urbosa charged at Ganondorf again, she jumped and attempt to impose Ganondorf from above, but Ganondorf block the incoming attack, Urbosa stand on Ganondorf armor and keep pushing her blade so it would reach Ganondorf face.
"You don't want to do this, you're just being controlled." Ganondorf keep pushing Urbosa's blade away from him.
"I know, and I hated all the dirty things they made me do, but this, this is one order I have no problem obeying, a chance to erase the black mark of our history, I'd be a fool to waste this opportunity !" Exclaimed Urbosa.
Seeing Ganondorf and Urbosa fighting Master Kohga conflicted about which side to choose as Ganondorf is opposing them and he and Urbosa currently on the same side. But this confusion give an opening as Dark Pit blast him with his staff.
"Not the right time to lose focus, now based on what we heard you didn't arrived at Mushroom Kingdom with the usual travel method, you better spill if you know what's good for you !" Dark Pit threatened Master Kohga by pointing his staff at him.
"Grr, don't think you've won just because of a cheap shot !" Master Kohga summon a boulder with Yoga Clan symbol covered in paper talismans above Dark Pit, the boulder fell which forced Dark Pit to dodge, Master Kohga then spin and fly away to widen the distance between him and Dark Pit. He summoned two boulders and throw them at Dark Pit. Dark Pit switched his weapon to Ogre Club and smacked the boulders away.
"So you're Tatanga, there's a huge bounty on your head, now maybe the best time to claim it. "Wolf readies his blaster to shoot Tatanga, but a star shaped projectile hit his hand, knocking the blaster away from his hand. Princess Shroob ready to face Wolf. "There's no need for you to get involved big sister, I'll deal with this one myself." Elder Princess Shroob complied and decided to just watch from the sidelines while Tatanga is taking cover.
Bowser's minions finally reached the throne room acting as Fawful reinforcements, Bowser head-butted Midbus blast him with a fireball to break the hold. "They're here !" Shouted Bowser, but as his minions about to enter the throne room Mewtwo use Barrier at the opened door, creating a force field that prevent anyone the throne room.
("That should hold them for now.") Said the genetic Pokemon.
"Great work Mewtwo ! I can offer you a high ranking positions in the Koopa Troop !" Just as Bowser praising Mewtwo the barrier somehow disappeared.
("What ! How !) Among the minions two magikoopas stand in the middle and dissolved the barrier. Kamek and Kamella dissolved the barrier with their magic.
"A barrier such as this is no match for us right Kamella !" Exclaimed Kamek.
"Right you are, now Lord Fawful is in trouble, let's work together to save him !" Said Kamella.
"Obviously !" Kamek and Kamella lead the troops against the 'villains' one of the troop member is a Goombas with a flag on his head.
"Kamek and Kamella not bickering, yep they're definitely brainwashed." Commented Bowser sarcastically.
("I shall deal with them !") Mewtwo use Psytrike to defeat many Bowser's minions in one fell swoop, but Kamek and Kamella teleported out of the way. The Goombas with a flag also managed to dodge the attack
Kamek and Kamella reappeared on Mewtwo's left and right respectively with Kamek fire a magical blast and Kamella shoot a fireball, Mewtwo teleported to avoid being hit the two attacks hitting each other creating a medium explosion.
Mewtwo fired a Shadow Ball at the two Magikoopas, but Kamek and Kamella create a barrier to protect themselves, Mewtwo and the two Magikoopas fly toward each other and about to clash.
Urbosa jumped off Ganondorf and summoned a barrage of lightning at Ganondorf, but he only defending himself using a magic barrier.
"Is this all you got !? It's like you're not even trying !" Taunted Urbosa which Ganondorf only replied with silence. "No matter, it's easier this way."
Urbosa kept on striking but Ganondorf successfully blocked all her attacks, she crouched down and perform a leg sweep, but Ganondorf float away to avoid her attack, Urbosa readies another attack, but but as Ganondorf about to block the attack he felt something off, as he can't control his body, he dropped his sword, removing his protection against Urbosa, the Gerudo chief then managed to land a hit in Ganondorf.
Wolf kept dodging the star projectile and Princess Shroob isn't making things easier as she also kept teleporting around and firing energy balls at Wolf, which Wolf have to drive as well, after dodging the last attack by jumping this allows the star projectile to attack Wolf causing him to fell down, Princess Shroob teleport near Wolf and about to finish him with another energy ball, however Wolf grab the skirt of Princess Shroob dress and pull it, causing the princess to fall, Wolf then got up and slashed Princess Shroob face, Elder Princess Shroob seeing this and seething with anger she decide to get involved with the fight, she changed her right arm into a tentacle and extend her arm tentacle to stab Wolf, but he sensed an attack coming and use Wolf Flash to avoid the attack, he run and grabbed his blaster again.
Master Kohga kept floating and dodging as Dark Pit keep attacking him with Silver Arrows, Master Kohga created a barrier and summon a another boulder and toss them at Dark Pit, he changed into using Ogre Club again and smack the boulders, but since there's a barrier in front of Master Kohga the attack didn't connect, keeping him safe.
Cackletta shooting fireballs at Jr. Which he deflect using the paintbrush, Jr. Then spew fireball from his miouth, he also using the paintbrush to create duplicate of his fireball to trick Cackletta. Seeing there's three fireballs coming her way Cackletta teleported to get away from the attack.
Bowser charged at Fawful again, and again Midbus stopped him, he grabbed Bowser's legs which caused the Koopa king to fall, Bowser then blows a stream of fire toward Midbus, but Midbus counters by blowing a stream of cold energy. Seei g this doesn't work Bowser withdraw into his shell, releasing him from Midbus grip and he begin to spin to strike the armadillo monster, Midbus curled up and also begin to roll to counter Bowser, the two clashed and flailing across the room like pinball.
Dark Pit about to fire another arrow at Master Kohga, but as he aim his target Bowser spinning in front of him ruined his concentration and missed his shot, Master Kohga respond by throwing a metal spiked ball at Dark Pit, which he had to dodge.
Mewtwo sensing something's wrong with Ganondorf gets it distracted, allowing Kamek and Kamella to land a shot on Mewtwo, which hurt the genetic Pokemon. The attack barely did any damage, so Kamek and Kamella combined their magic to land a serious blow to Mewtwo, however a shout can be heard calling for Kamek, distracted by this Mewtwo seize the chance by using Psychic to pin the two Magikoopas to the ground, coincidentally Bowser who is still spinning in his shell hit both Kamek and Kamella sending them flying until they hit a wall.
With Mewtwo done with he two magikoopas it turned it's attention to Ganondorf, as Urbosa about to impale him Mewtwo fire an Aura Sphere at Urbosa, blasting her and sending her crashing to a wall, Mewtwo teleported to Ganondorf side. ("Ganondorf I can sense the soul of another within you.")
Ganondorf is struggling to control his body. "I know...but...I won't let you do...this to...me, OIT OF MY BODY NABOORU !" Ganondorf gather his magical power in his palm and press his chest with it, expelling Nabooru from his body.
"Aagh !" Nabooru fell to the floor, but she quickly got up again. "Long time no see your majesty, you look different, but I can tell it's you, so you're from the timeline where you were stopped before you can carry out your plans then ?"
"Trapped in the Twilight Realm alter my appearance, but nonetheless I'm still the same Ganondorf you knew." Explained the Gerudo king.
"The king who brought us to our doom ! As the sage of spirit I will stop you right here and now !" Nabooru created a scimitar sword using spiritual energy as she charges at Ganondorf.
Mewtwo decided to back Ganondorf, however it sensed another incoming attack from above, Mewtwo create a spherical shaped barrier, protecting itself and Ganondorf from Nabooru and the attack from above. The attacker is another Gerudo with red haired tied in a ponytail, she also have a yellow gem on her forehead.
"Aveil ! So you're here too." Said Ganondorf.
"Why yes our former king, I've been thinking your head might make a fine trophy, once we get past this barrier somehow." Grumbled Aveil.
Wolf keep blasting Elder Princess Shroob, but she managed to defend herself using her tentacle arm, Princess Shroob got up, angry at what Wolf did to her she teleported behind Wolf and fired and energy ball, at the same time Elder Princess Shroob fire a laser ball from her mouth, seeing Wolf get caught up in a pincer attack, Wolf used Wolf Flash to dodge the incoming attack, the colliding attack create a small explosion, Elder Princess Shroob about to give chase to Wolf, but as she run toward him she ended up being hit by the still rolling Midbus.
Kamek and Kamella slowly got up and gathered their power and create a summoning circle, they then summoned Petey Piranha to back them up.
"Petey take down Bowser !" Ordered Kamek.
The bipedal Piranha Plant obliged as it chase after Bowser.
Jr. and Cackletta still fighting each other, the Koopa prince shooting paint at the witch and Cackletta keep firing lightning and fire towards Jr. But they both able to dodge each other attacks, Jr. then used the paintbrush to create a goop, a brown goop appeared on the floor and create a Gatekeeper and Swoopin Stu's. Cackletta shoot lightning and fire athe Gatekeepers, but it doesn't work as water the only thing capable of washing it away, and while Cackletta busy dealing with the Gatekeepers she's ambushed by the Swoopin Stu's who jumped and exploded at her, causing her to fall down and covering Cackletta in goo.
"I don't know who or what you are cat, but if you're in his side that makes you our enemy as well !" Nabooru taking an astral form to bypass Mewtwo's barrier, she managed to get inside, but Mewtwo fire a Shadow Ball at her, thanks to her ghost like form the Shadow Ball able to greatly harm her, and Nabooru is forced out from Mewtwo's barrier.
Bowser stop spinning and come out from his she'll, he then saw Petey Piranha standing next to him. "Petey you're here ! I can give you punishment for that goop you spat at me on Earth !" Bowser proceed to punch Petey, the impact send him flying across the room, Bowser then use his fire breath on Petey, being a plant Petey is extremely vulnerable to fire, causing it to run around erratically.
Seeing this Kamek and Kamella again combine their magic this time to enlarge Petey Piranha, however..."alright now's my chance !" The flag head Goomba jumped in front of the spell, turning him giant instead.
"Lord Bowser I'm here to aid you !" Cpt. Goomba then rammed at Petey Piranha sending him flying again, this time at Master Kohga direction, Dark Pit get out of the way, allowing Petey to slammed into Kohga and crashing into a wall
"Cpt. Goomba ! What do you think you're doing !" Yelled Kamek.
"I'm helping our true master, Fawful you're not who I'm supposed to serve ! My loyalty will always be toward Lord Bowser !" Declared Cpt. Goomba. He tried to attack Kamek and Kamella which forced them to teleport away to save themselves.
"Impossible I improved my brainwashing gas ! How is it are you not affected by it !" Fawful shouting in anger seeing Bowser minion unaffected by his brainwashing.
"Hahahaha I know there's my loyal minion immune to Fawful mind control !" Boasted Bowser.
While everyone is distracted Mewtwo teleported Ganondorf to regroup with their allies, seeing what happened Ganondorf feeling a bit bitter inside, it makes him losing the will to fight even more.
Bowser them whispered his plan to his allies. "Alright it seems Fawful isn't going down today, but there's one objective to do, I don't suppose any of you can cover our escape ?"
("Leave that to me.") Mewtwo use Mist, a dog appeared inside the throne room enveloping the entire place, I scouring everyone vision, except for Mewtwo who can just sense people using it's psychic powers.
"Perfect, now on my signal teleport all of us our of here to the outskirts of the kingdom !" After a few minutes Bowser voice can be heard. "Now !"
Heating this Mewtwo complied and teleported it's allies out of the castle. The fog soon clreaed up Bowser and his allies are nowhere to be seen, and so are Petey Piranha and Cpt. Goomba.
"They're gone !" Screamed Fawful.
"I see so that's what they're capable of, but I supposed they haven't shown their true abilities just yet." Pointed Tatanga after he come out of hiding.
"You didn't even do anything but hide !" Yelled Fawful.
"I was gauging their strength, besides you only watching from sidelines as well !" Replied Tatanga.
"Well I can't be defeated now, we haven't even begin our operations !" Fawful tries to justify why he's barely do any fighting.
"Wait a minute ? Does anyone see that two legged plant !?" Asked Cackletta.
"No, where is that Petey Piranha and that giant Goomba !" Shouted Kohga.
"Wait could this be what Bowser after all along ? No he can't be that smart, but then..." Fawful thought to himself. "GAAAHH ! IVE BEEN HAD !"
Mushroom Kingdom Outskirts
Mewtwo teleported everyone outside as Bowser commanded, they have learned new information and extra allies with them.
("We escaped them, we really should leave now, after those attack Fawful is going to boost security even further.") Stated Mewtwo.
"Hold on, Bowser what's the big idea exposing ourselves like that ! I know you want your army, kingdom, and Fawfuls life, but you were too brash and impatient !" Yelled Wolf.
"I have to agree with Wolf, we may escape them, but what you did was very reckless." Dark Pit crossed his arms as he also lecture Bowser.
As they went on to scold Bowser, they noticed the Koopas King had the unconscious Petey Piranha, and Cpt. Goomba who returned to his normal size.
"Do you really think I went in there without some planning !? And as much as I don't like to admit it, I know all of you are capable of defending yourself against those foes, even you Jr. as the future king you will face many obstacles, you have to get use to that and overcame any challenges coming your way." Explained Bowser. "I do wish to defeat Fawful right here and now, but should that be impossible I should at least slowly rebuilt my army."
("Wait, is that why you did what you did ? Because you knew Fawful's going to use your minions against you, giving you a chance to take them back with you ?") Asked Mewtwo.
"That's right ! Like what you said before, we take them to our base and remove their brainwashing, that way our enemies will find it difficult to re-brainwash them ! I may failed to get Kamek and Kamella, but at least Petey and Cpt. Goomba are with us, I'm going to go after my high ranking minions first, then we can get the rest after that !" Answered Bowser.
"I don't know, you beat this plant really easy back then." Dark Pit being skeptical of Petey Piranha value.
"He's a plant, of course he's vulnerable to fire, now of there's aren't any fore around Petey is a threat to be reckoned with." Replied Bowser.
("I see you're the Goomba that distracted Kamek do you ?") Asked Mewtwo.
"Yes, after Fawful brainwashed everyone again I'm the only one unaffected, so I have to play along this time, but thanks to that I have gained information that might be useful." Said Cpt. Goomba. "By the way your vileness, who are these people with you ?"
"It's...a long story, but for now Mario and I are on the same side, so no fighting each other for the time being !" Ordered Bowser.
"Really !? It's that dire you have to cooperate with Mario !? I don't like this at all, but if it's your will then I will follow." Cpt. Goomba bowed to Bowser.
Ganondorf felt a bit envious seeing Bowser's relationship with his minions as they truly adore him, and the only reason they're against him because they're under someone else's control, while the Gerudo undeniably despise Ganondorf thanks to his previous actions.
Dark Pit replied with sarcasm. "Yeah yeah this is very sweet, though I suppose as reckless as you are, there is something to gain from this, once we get back I'll go ask Viridi about sending reinforcements for us as well."
"Alright, now's the time to head back to the ship and undo Petey's brainwashing !" Bowser first retrieve the clown car and then used his golden plate and teleported everyone back to the ship.
Well that's that, this chapter stars the playable 'villains' of Smash Bros even though all of them have redeeming qualities one way or another.
So I know this was very late, but I actually have mixed feelings about Minecraft Steve as a playable character, I'm not sure how or if I'm gonna put him in the story considering Minecraft doesn't exactly have any story, so far I'm still contemplating before making my final decision.
I purposely made the fight seemed held back because with this many heavy hitters an all out battle will destroy the castle, which makes Fawful realized he can't go easy on facing Bowser, he will unleashed the full force of the brainwashed Koopa Troop under his command and his robot creations.
According to early Mario supplemental materials Bowser possess dark magic, one of them is transformation, it's said he transform the citizens of Mushroom Kingdom into ? Blocks, but those abilities seems largely forgotten or retconned. Instead ? Blocks are a part of Mushroom Kingdom environment.
As for Fawful and Cackletta relationship let's just say they're equal partners.
Since Nabooru is the Sage of Spirit in Ocarina of Time, I'm giving her ghost-like powers in this fic.
I'm making deliberate parallel between Bowser and Ganondorf, how Bowser's minions are completely loyal to him they're only opposing each other due to being brainwashed, while Ganondorf people the Gerudo genuinely despise him because of what he did in the events of Ocarina of Time.
