Zone 33 - Rooftop
Another new location, this place resemble present day Earth with stores, restaurants, vending machines, department stores located here, right now the heroes are in the rooftop of a building, there's a water tank nearby and three women sitting near it, the three women are Peach, Bayonetta, and Samus in her zero suit. There's a scaffolding near the rooftop, and soon after Captain Falcon carrying Mr. GW, and R.O.B the scaffolding and jumped to the rooftop where the three women are.
"Ah the captain is back, I'm sure you have some info for us ?" Bayonetta got up and greeted the racer.
"Yeah, honestly why am I the ones doing this ?" Grumbled Falcon.
"We did agreed on rock paper scissors, and you lost, so you have to do it." Says Samus who are leaning on the wall. "Besides I haven't been on Earth in a very long time, people will stare at me in my getup."
"They did stare at me too you know, but from that i can tell that this isn't our Earth." Cpt. Falcon's answer shocked Samus and Bayonetta.
"How can you tell ?" Asked Peach who isn't too bothered, but that's because she's not from Earth.
"For starters nobody knows the F-Zero Grand Prix." Answered Cpt. Falcon.
"But that can't be, F-Zero Grand Prix Is known throughout the galaxy, even I know about it, and I haven't set foot on Earth in a very long time." Replied Samus seemingly still not believing Cpt. Falcon.
"Maybe this isn't the future ? Although I'm not even familiar with the buildings and locations of this place either." Bayonetta looked down from the rooftop.
"That's because this isn't the present time either, we're in an alternate future." Answered R.O.B.
"Wait ! Alternate future !?" Exclaimed Samus, Peach, and Bayonetta.
"Yes, apparently that's R.O.B.s conclusion, and to be honest I actually believe him, the proof is no one here knows about the F-Zero Grand Prix." Cpt. Falcon backed R.O.B.
"I managed to gather information by connecting to someone's cellphone, and download the informations from there." Answered R.O.B.
"Cellphone ? You three didn't do anything...against the law do you ?" Peach crossed her arms and start interrogating the trio.
"Okay, so I maybe stole it, but it's an emergency, and I assure you, once R.O.B finished downloading I give it back to the owner...without him knowing." Cpt. Falcon admit he stole the phone, but he returned it afterwards after they done with it.
"At least you returned it, can't believe you managed to steal it unnoticed." Said Samus.
"With my life as it is, I have to learn everything to defeat, tricked, or outdo my enemies." Justified Falcon.
"Okay, we're getting sidetracked here the stealing problem is solved, so R.O.B tell us about this Alternate Earth." Bayonetta returned the topic back on track.
"Alright." R.O.B begin explaining about this Alternate world.
R.O.B. answers shocked everyone.
"So in this Earth 90% of life is gone, and this ARK is the only habitable location left for humanity." Stated Samus.
"A meteor landed in Antartic and then..." Said Falcon.
"Space time rift connecting to a place called Astral Plane, monsters from Astral Plane appear here and attacking humanity." Added Bayonetta.
"The Astral Plane have corrupting effects on anyone who got exposed to it...this is very dangerous indeed." Peach holding her arm and trembling a bit.
"Not to mention these monsters, Chimaeras are invisible to humans, making it more dangerous, people could be attacked without them realizing." Added Bayonetta.
"And something like this has happened before in ancient times ?" Added Samus.
"And yet something like this never happened in my timeline, if there are periods where Astral Plane attempt to merge with Earth it surely never happened." Remarked Cpt. Falcon.
"Or could it be it does but no one ever knows ?" Asked Samus.
"No, this event never happened in your timeline, your Earth never under attack from this Chimaeras." Confirmed R.O.B. "Anyway since I downloaded the info from an ordinary cellphone containing information open to public, there's got to be many things hidden from public that I have hard time finding, everytime I do there are tons of protections I have to bypass, and we don't have time for that."
"I guess despite still being Earth what happened is completely different, this Earth may never encounter sentient alien species or travel beyond the stars, but our Earth didn't experience mass extinction." Stated Cpt. Falcon.
"But looking at things now, it doesn't seem the world is in any kind of danger from other worlds." Said Peach looking down from the roof.
"You never know, appearances can be deceiving." Remarked Samus. "So what now ? If we walked together we're bound to bring attention to ourselves."
"Guess this is where I come in." Bayonetta create a magic circle and bring everyone to Purgatorio. "There, now we can go anywhere we want without arousing suspicion."
"Have to admit Bayo, this kind of power is very useful when it comes to stealth and infiltration." Remarked Falcon.
""It certainly is, but I'm not going to help if you're going to use this power of mine to commit crimes, like stealing."
"Wouldn't think of it, Wario on the other hand..."
"I think we have enough talking, so why don't we start looking for Dracula's minions ?" Said R.O.B which everyone agrees.
The heroes jumped to the scaffolding and climbed down until they reached the ground.
Zone 33 - Streets
The heroes reached the ground and begin walking around, thanks to Bayonetta's magic they're all invisible to the local populace.
"I got to say this place really resemble New Donk City." Commented Peach after looking the surrounding buildings.
"New Donk City ? Kinda ripoff from New York City don't you think ?" Commented Bayonetta.
"Well I don't know what your cities are called so, we're not ripping off anyone." Defended Peach.
"*Sigh* I wonder if I'll ever go back to Earth again, they must've branded me fugitive now, I can imagine the headline Captain Falcon Falls from Grace, all because the Galactic Federation is corrupt and hold the power." Complained Cpt. Falcon.
"You and me both." Added Samus.
"You know if you'd like you can stay in Mushroom Kingdom." Offered Peach. "There may not be an F-Zero Grand Prix there, but we have Mario Kart, and it's a lot less deadly too, just watch out for the blue shells, those things can be really annoying."
"Thanks for the offer princess, if things still aren't going well maybe I'll take you up on your offer." Answered Cpt. Falcon.
"Still though, a racing competition named after Mario, not to mention Bowser himself love to participate, how can you be that friendly towards your enemy ?" Questioned Samus.
"Well that honour is thanks to Mario who saves the kingdom everytime there's crisis, and Bowser not as bad as he seems, he had good qualities like caring toward his son, treat his minions like they're people, not punching bags, and the occasional team ups, all of this became a routine the every time we clashed is practically forgivable." Answered Peach.
"I have to admit compare to Ridley, Bowser isn't an irredeemable psychopath." Compared Samus.
"Sorry you have to deal with someone like that on regular basis." Said Cpt. Falcon.
"Someone's got to, you can't let a bloodthirsty psycho running around wreaking havoc after all." Replied Samus.
"Yeah, I'm sure when he's recruited to join Subspace Army back then he's really enjoying the fact he's going to fight a lot of people, even as the island about to be swallowed by the Subspace bomb Ridley still gunning for us rather than saving his own life." Said Cpt. Falcon remembering the moment Isle of Ancient about to be swallowed.
"Those were the dark days, Tabuu this time we'll make sure you're dead." Vowed R.O.B
"That's just how he is or how psychos in general, they love making other people suffer, but when they're on the receiving end they start whining about us fighting back and swearing revenge, guess the only way is to use force." Added Samus.
As the heroes continue talking a man pass by them talking on his cellphone. "Yes, I got the new drugs right here, just stay where you are." The man speaking plainly about drugs, unaware about the invisible heroes, ended up getting Cpt. Falcon's attention.
"Drugs ? Not on my watch !" Cpt. Falcon begin chasing and tailing the man.
"Falcon ! Honestly, let's follow him." Bayonetta and the others chase after Cpt. Falcon.
Zone 33 - Alley
Cpt. Falcon follow the man until he arrived in an alley where three of his friends are, of course the man completely unaware he's being followed thanks to Cpt. Falcon is now in another plane of reality.
Bayonetta and the others catch up to Cpt. Falcon. "Seriously Falcon running away just like that !"
"Sorry, but they just.."
"Captain, I know you meant well, but we're here on a mission, you just got to leave this stuff to the local police, we can't fix or meddle with every problem we encounter, we have other things to worry about." Said R.O.B
"Yeah, sorry, this just remind me of when I was a part of Internova Police Corp, busting crimes whenever there's any you know."
"We know, but you're not a police officer anymore, we should just let the local law enforcement deal with this." Said Bayonetta,
As the heroes and Cpt. Falcon agreed to leave one of the men said something that actually brought the heroes attention.
"Wow this drug is...never seen it before, what's it called again ?"
"Red Pollen Orb, they say when you consume it you will experience a feeling of bliss so incredible you don't want it to end, I know I tried."
"Nice, whoever made this is a genius, so did you take a good look on the creator ?"
"That's the thing, I've heard rumors that the maker isn't even human, but something else from other worlds or that weird crap." This statement actually attracted the heroes attention.
"Wow whoever said that must've have a large does of this drug hahahahaha !" The punks laughed.
"Did you hear that ? Should we deal with this after all ?" Asked Peach.
"We should at least get a sample, if we're lucky one of our friends know this Red Pollen Orb." Added Samus.
"So, leave it all to luck huh ?" Asked Bayonetta. "What if this drug really is from this world ?"
"Either way we can just dispose of it, if other worlds involve in this than we can't stay silent." Declared Cpt. Falcon.
"Agreed, if this drug have connection to other worlds then this isn't something the police can handle." Agreed R.O.B.
"R.O.B you're sure the Neo Subspace Army have anything to do with this ?" Asked Peach.
"Neo Subspace Army have many members and affiliates, I haven't interacted with all of them not have I met all of them, so when I defect I never got the chance to know all it's members, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a drug lord among them." Answered R.O.B.
"If we're sure about this, I'm going to send us back to reality, we can't fight them from Purgatorio." Warned Bayonetta.
"We're ready, Bayonetta." Declared Cpt. Falcon.
"Alright then." Bayonetta summon a magic circle on the ground the heroes are standing, the magic circle then fly upwards and disappear, the heroes return back to reality.
One of the men screamed in shocked after seeing the heroes appear out of nowhere.
"Why hello boys, heard you got yourself some good stuff, mind if you share some with us ?" Bayonetta walked toward the men seductively to get them to give the drugs, she wrapped her arms on him
"Oh..umm..yeah sure." One of the men looked nervous but enjoying Bayonetta flirting attempt, he then regain his composure. "Well I suppose we can have some good time, why don't you bring your friends along, the two blonde hotties over there ?" The man refer to Peach and Samus.
"I'm afraid we don't have much time, this drugs where do you got them !" Threatened Cpt. Falcon walking closer to the man.
"I'll listen to him if I were you, unless you want to be reduced to a paste." Teased Bayonetta.
"No way old man ! It's really hard to get my hands on this drugs ! If you want it get it yourself !" The man tried to punch Cpt. Falcon, fatal mistake as Cpt. Falcon just grab his punch and punch the man on the stomach, the man fell down on his knee.
Seeing this his friends jumped in to help, only to be subdued by Bayonetta as she kick one of them to the face, and Samus who punched another one on the face, the last one tried to threatened Peach, but she whacked him hard with a frying pan that she may hid under her dress. All the men are unconscious.
"Well that was easy, life would be a breeze if our enemies fell this quick." Said Bayonetta.
"Yeah, sadly our enemies are not a bunch of immature, stupid teenagers or manchildren." Replied Peach as she hid her frying pan under her dress.
Cpt. Falcon then rummaging the man for the drugs, he found the bag containing the drugs. "Okay I got this."
"I can perform an analysis on the ship, we should leave now before..." Before Samus can finish her sentence a loud shouting can be heard.
"FREEZE !"
After hearing that the heroes put their hands in the air by reflex.
Walking closer two people showed approached the heroes, a man and woman dressed in a police uniform.
"We're officer Yamato and Akira Howard of ARK Police, and according to our sources, there's a new illegal drug distributed around these parts." Explained Yamato.
"What happened here ?" Akira looking around as there are four men beaten up unconscious and Cpt. Falcon holding the bag. "Did you do this ? And that bag is it the ones with the drugs in it ?"
"Well yes, but there's a reason why we do this." Cpt. Falcon tried to explain. "These drugs are dangerous and we're here to destroy it."
"Look we appreciate the help, but we can take it from here and that's an evidence you're holding with you, and we need it intact, so hand over the bag." Yamato demand the bag is given to him.
("Not good, what should we do ? We can't really tell them why we need this drug, but I suppose we have no choice.") Samus wanted to say something, but before she can a dimensional rift opened and dragged everyone inside except the unconscious men.
Astral Plane
Akira clutching her head as he opened her eyes, she realized what happened as she look to his surrounding. "The Astral Plane ? Of all times a gate appeared now. It looks like Yamato and I are separated, not to mention those people got sucked in as well."
"Mumbling to yourself ?" Bayonetta spoke from behind.
"Wha !" Akira is startled.
"So Astral Plane, that's what it's called huh ?" Remarked Bayonetta. ("So that's how this place is looked like, a vast dimension only black and red cubes floating around, even I found Paradiso a much better place.")
"Look it's not safe here, come with me and we'll find a way out."
"I'm not leaving without my comrades." Retorted Bayonetta.
"We can't stay here long, the longer we stay here the higher the chance you'll redshift, if my brother is here he can at least cure with his Sword Legion." Said Akira.
"I'm guessing you and your brother aren't just a normal cops, considering getting dragged to another dimension doesn't seemed to faze you at all." Bayonetta seems to have a feeling the Howard siblings have experience with Astral Plane.
"From the looks of it you don't seem normal as well, but there's no time to pry, as a cop I have to make sure you get out from this place safely." Remarked Akira. "Once we found a gate you must use it to leave this place and don't worry about your friends, my brother and I will find them."
"Alright miss officer, I can agree to those terms, so let's hurry then." Bayonetta and Akira then begin to move trying to find a way out from the Astral Plane.
Bayonetta and Akira walked around the place, there's a platform that moving ups and downs in fixed order like an elevator, they keep walking until they reached a dead end, however there's two floating cube high above them.
"A dead end ?" Asked Bayonetta.
"Not quite, see those cubes over there ?" Akira pointed at the cube hovering above. "If we can hit them at the same time, this should open a path for us, looks like I have to do this, try not to freak out ok." Akira prepare her Legatus unit and summon her Arrow Legion, Bayonetta is surprised, but not much considering she seen weirder stuff.
"This is ?" Bayonetta checking the Arrow Legion.
"They're called Legions, but no time for explanation, my Legion is going to shoot those cubes, but I got to say you sure able to handle it well seeing a Legion."
"I've seen weirder stuff in my life." Retorted Bayonetta.
Arrow Legion then shoot the cube, turning it's color to blue, but as she's about to shoot another one the blue cube quickly turned red again.
"Seriously !? The two cubes are far apart, how am I gonna hit them at the same time !?" Akira is feeling rather frustrated.
"Mind if I help ?" Bayonetta summon her Kafka bow.
"How did..." Akira is baffled, but Bayonetta interjected.
"No time for that remember, for now let us work together." Akira nodded as she and Bayonetta attempt to shoot both cubes at the same time, finally on Akira signal they shoot their arrow at the same time, and hit the two cubes at the same time, the wall that blocked their path descend down, opening a path for them.
After the wall is down they saw R.O.B and Peach fighting a few number of Chimaeras, 5 of them to be exact. They all have humanoid forms with a shield in left arm, and sword in right arm.
One Chimaera about to strike Peach in an overhead slash, but she managed to block the attack with her parasol, Peach spin to the side to free herself from the blade lock and smack the Chimaera with the parasol.
R.O.B charged at two Chimaeras by spinning his arms, causing the two Chimaeras to suffer multiple hits from R.O.B.
A third Chimaera lunges at Peach, trying to rammed her with it shield, Peach got hit by this, and she fell down on the floor, the fifth Chimaera is about to stab her with it sword arm, but Peach shot a heart shaped projectile to its face, it exploded and the Chimaera roared in pain as she stand up again, and smack it with a frying pan.
The second and third Chimaera got up and tried to attack R.O.B again, but R.O.B fire his Robo Beam at the two monstrosities, the fourth Chimaera taking advantage the fact that R.O.B is busy with other enemies, it tried to perform it signature charging attack, it took a stance, Peach however saw this and throw a radish on the Chimaera, ruining it's concentration and cancelling it's attack.
Peach rushed to R.O.B. and the robot grab Peach and toss her to the air, while hovering above she then used her heart power to rain down multitude of heart shaped projectile in the ground below effectively bombarding the Chimaeras on the ground, R.O.B also help by charging his Robo Beam to maximum and unleashed a powerful beam, he also spin around so it covers every direction, the destructive combination ended up destroying the Chimaeras.
As Bayonetta and Akira arrived they're too late as Peach and R.O.B already annihilated the enemy. Akira expressed shock at what she see, while Bayonetta...
"My oh my that was an incredible performance, you sure have lots of tricks under your sleeve princess." Bayonetta clapped her hands as she saw Peach descend to the ground.
"Well you know the rules Bayonetta, we can't use all of our arsenals in the tournament." Reminded Peach.
"Yeah yeah, to make things fair the other participants, if they let me there are more demons I can use other than Gomorrah."
"Hopefully it's something my beams can hit." Remarked R.O.B.
Akira had no idea what they're talking about. "Excuse me ? Tournament ? Do any of you mind filling me in ?"
"We could, but it's a very long story, we can talk once we leave this place." Akira forced to agree withheld asking questions for the time being, but then another Chimaera appeared in front of the heroes, it resemble the previous Chimaera Peach and R.O.B fought but this one's more bigger.
"A Laius Chimaera ! This is one of the strongest Chimaera type ! Everyone get away ! I'll handle this !" Shouted Akira.
"Didn't you see what they can do ? It would be much faster if we do this together." Stated Bayonetta.
"I've seen what you can do, but I can't involve civilians much further than this !"
"Too late for that, we're already involved anyway, more than you think." Answered R.O.B.
Akira had no choice but to consent, she knows she can defeat the Chimaera herself, but time is of the essence here.
Laius Chimaera raised it's sword arm and swing it downward, striking the heroes in an overhead strike, everyone is running out of the way except Bayonetta, however as the blade almost reached her, Bayonetta dodge the incoming attack, activating Witch Time, with time slowing down she rushed to Laius and summoned her Rakshasa sword, she slashes the Chimaera legs, she then jumped and kick the creature to the face, and Laius fell down as a result.
To everyone watching Bayonetta seemed to move in high speed which surprise Akira as her mouth is left agape, while Peach and R.O.B know what happened.
With the creature down a chance to attack is now in sight Akira used the Arrow Legion technique Air Shot, Arrow Legion fire a shot upwards and multiple arrows fell down in a straight line, stabbing the Laius, the arrow then explode, further damaging the Chimaera.
Peach shoot many projectile at the downed Chimaera. And R.I.B fire his Robo Beam at the creature. But Laius isn't fully defeated yet, as the creature got up and jumped high, it then descend at full speed with it's sword arm pointing downward, as it reach the ground Laius impale the ground and creating massive shockwave, causing the heroes to lose balance and fell down.
Laius about to use it's charge attack against Akira, it then thrust it's blade toward Akira, injuring the officer and desummon her legion, with the distance is closed Laius lift it's leg to stomp on Akira, but in a nick of time Bayonetta summoned her Alruna whip and wrapped it on Laius leg, she pulled it and Laius loses balance and fall down, saving Akira on the process.
Peach rushed to Akira and used her power to heal Akira, the officer injuries immediately disappeared, though Akira is more resilient than more ordinary humans, and she did receive severe beatings before.
Laius got up again, it chases after Bayonetta this time, Akira still on the ground summoned her Arrow Legion again and now used Slow Shot this time, the legion shot upwards again, but this time only one arrow descend down, but as it hit Laius it doesn't exactly harm the Chimaera butseed to encasing it in time bubble that slowed it's movement, Bayonetta is surprised, but she use the opportunity to attack once again, she summoned Madama Butterfly arm and punch the Chimaera and sending it flying. Bayonetta tried to chase after it, but she is surprised by what she saw next.
Peach is done healing Akira, and now she jumped high, an angel wings made of pure light appeared on her back and use her Empress Peach technique and kick the Chimaera with an extreme force, R.O.B follow suit by firing his Diffusion Beam, almost killing the creature.
"It's time to finish this." Bayonetta summoned Gomorrah, just it's head and the demonic beast proceed to devour the Chimaera, tearing it apart with it's teeth and swallowing it.
Akira is left baffled by what she just saw.
"Miss Akira how are you feeling ?" Asked Peach.
"Oh, I'm fine, just what are you people ?" Asked the officer.
"You defeated that chimaera easily, Laius is one of the strongest Chimaera." Explained Akira.
"Like I said long story, but I can assure you were not your enemy, nor are we criminals of any kind." Bayonetta extend her hand, Akira take it as it help her got up on her feet.
"Alright I believe you, we must go quickly before..." Akira took a good look and the heroes. "Hold on none of you show any signs of redshirting, usually when anyone got dragged to Astral Plane they quickly begin to redshift."
"Hmm...I wonder if me being one of the Seven Star Children have anything to do with it ?" Pondered Peach.
"Maybe my pact with demons protecting me from corrupting influence ?" Pondered Bayonetta.
"Based on my data I don't believe machines can suffer from redshift." Answered R.O.B
"Okay I don't know what you all talking about, and I don't wanna ask how you know about that part of redshift, but we really must move on." Said Akira.
"But where else can we go ? the path ends here." Pointed Peach as there is no more solid ground beyond where they stand.
"Leave that part to me." Bayonetta summon Malphas, she, Peach, and R.O.B climb onto the demon bird's back. "Come on miss officer we don't have all day."
Akira still shocked by what she see, but she regained her composure and ride the beast along with the heroes.
The heroes flying through the Astral Plane trying to find the others, the dimension is so vast it's like looking needle on a haystack, but then R.O.B suddenly sensed some heat signature nearby. "I detect heat signature ! Over there !"
Bayonetta looked at the direction R.O.B pointed. "Hey isn't that..."
Someplace in Astral Plane shortly after Akira and Bayonetta begin to move
Samus and Cpt. Falcon just finished off a few Chimaeras.
"That's the last of it for now." Said Falcon.
"No good, we're separated from the others, we need to find them." Said Samus as she's inside her suit, without realizing Samus and Cpt. Falocn standing on a red matter, Samus suit absorb the red matter and then automatically upgraded itself to fit the environment, it changes to a red and black coloring, let's just say this one is called the Astral Suit.
"Samus your armor..."
"It's upgraded to adapt to the environment, not the first time it's happened, we should go now Falcon."
"Alright let's...uugh." Cpt. Falcon fall on his knee as he's feeling rather unwell.
"Falcon are you ok ?" Samus checking in on him.
"Yeah, don't worry just a little lightheaded." Cpt. Falcon stand up again and the two of them begin walking.
Just like Bayonetta and Akira they have to explore the alien dimension with floating platforms, switches on the floor, etc.
"Where do you think the others are ?" Asked Samus.
"I don't know, but they've got to be here, we can use our golden plate to search though." Cpt. Falcon tried to use his golden plate, but the device can only emit static.
"Didn't work huh ?" Asked Samus.
"For a device made by gods I was hoping there are no limitations made by humans, but it seems I was expecting too much." Remarked Falcon in disappointment. "Not only that, it seems the golden plate is unusable here, we have to find an exit the usual way."
"If experience taught me something usually there's a ruler in every dimension, I wonder if this place is any different ?" Remarked Samus.
"Let's hope not, usually those things are not something humans should handle..uugh." Cpt. Falcon fall down once again.
"Falcon this can't be nothing, you've been feeling unwell since we got here !" Exclaimed Samus.
"Samus, don't...worry about me, just..." Samus's suit picking up abnormal signs around Cpt. Falcon, some red like auras surrounding him.
"No no no we must get you out of here ! This got to be what R.O.B told us earlier, this place have corrupting influence, I'm fine because my suit adapting to this place, protecting me from being corrupted !" Exclaimed Samus.
Samus tried to carry Cpt. Falcon, she put his hands over her shoulder, but then a Chimaera appeared behind them. It's a Laius Chimaera, but it's not alone, there's a small floating Chimaera wearing a skull mask and having fox like appearance behind it.
Samus charging her cannon and fire a shot at the Laius Chimaera, however her attack didn't work, the small Chimaera seemed to be the reason why as Laius Chimaera surrounded by purple light, and the shield surrounding it now protecting Laius instead and the small Chimaera seemed to emit a beam that linked both Chimaeras together.
Samus kept on firing, but it's no use as Laius seems invulnerable to anything Samus throw at it.
"I don't have time for this !" Samus then run while carrying Cpt. Falcon, thanks to her suit strength and alien DNA she has enough strength to carry a big muscular man like Cpt. Falcon. Laius Chimaera kept on chasing the duo.
As Samus kept running she eventually reached a dead end, there's nothing but bottomless abyss ahead.
"A dead end, then I have no choice, I don't have time to think about the risk." Samus decided to use her sonic boom cannon. "Falcon ! I'm going to tear a fabric in space time with my sonic boom, you jumped to the tear, I don't know where you going to be sent to, but it's better than here."
"No..Samus...just...forget me..I think it's...too..late..for me." Cpt. Falcon struggle to speak. "Here...take this." Cpt. Falcon give Samus the bag containing the drugs.
"Don't say that, we're all coming out from here alive !" Samus fired her sonic boom at the Laius, it and the small Chimaera behind did get blown away, but they're still unharmed, Samus action created a tear in space time, an the loud explosion have attracted many Chimaeras attention, specifically the winged type ones.
The winged Chimaeras surrounds Samus as she tried to reach the space time rift she just made, but the winged Chimaeras prevent her from further movements by shooting their feathers, one of the winged Chimaera land a kick on Samus with it's leg, causing the bounty hunter to fell down.
As Samus about to be attacked again, the Chimaera get shot by an arrow, and many more get shot by multiple arrows. Samus looked around to see Bayonetta and Akira firing arrows at the winged Chimaeras, the remaining winged Chimaeras turn their attention to Malphas and the heroes, but then R.O.B obliterate the incoming Chimaeras with his Diffusion Beam.
With the winged Chimaeras eliminated Malphas landed down and the heroes get down as well.
"Samus, thank goodness we found you !" Exclaimed Peach.
"Yeah, but Falcon ! He needs help !" Samus shows the others Cpt. Falcon condition.
"No, he's redshifted, we need to find my brother, he has a legion that can cure redshifting !" Exclaimed Akira.
The Laius and the small Chimaera returned again, wanting to finish the job, and blocking the rift.
"Hey isn't that the same Chimaera we faced earlier ?" Asked Peach. "Why is it glowing ?"
"Yeah, but it's not alone this time that glow is caused by the Ker Chimaera behind it !" Explained Akira. "We need to sever their connection first, and take out the Ker Chimaera, until then it's in an invulnerable state."
"As the two Chimaeras crept closer a black tentacles emerge and restrained Laius Chimaera, Yamato then jumped and slashed the link between Ker and Laius, he used the Gladius form and beat the stuffing out of Ker Chimaera, and then he send the Sword Legion to rip out the Ker Chimaera core, killing it and healing Yamato.
Laius then perform an overhead strike at Yamato, only for Yamato to do a cartwheel to dodge and bind the Chimaera with Astral chain, the two then perform a sync attack where Yamato and Sword Legion do repeated slashes at the Chimaera, as the Laius broke free Yamato perform a somersault and the Sword Legion launched a powerful kick at the beast, sending it falling down to the abyss, but then before it can fall any further the black tentacles impale the Chimaera on the head, chest, arms and legs, killing it, and now the Chimaeras on the area are now dealt with.
Unfortunately in the ensuing battle the rift that Samus makes is now closed.
"Brother you're here !" Exclaimed Akira who hugged her brother.
"Yeah, I'm here sis, when I heard that loud noise I knew that's where I should headed, it won't be possible without his guy." The black tentacles revert back to Mr. GW, Yamato then have Mr. GW standing on his shoulder.
"What is that thing ?" Akira tried to touch him, and she's very surprised by his 2D physiology. "Whoa it's as flat as a paper !"
"Officer, I've been told you can cure redshift ? Then please my friend here need it." Samus pointed at the redshifted Cpt. Falcon.
"Of course leave it to me." Yamato proceed to cure or 'blieshift' Cpt. Falcon, as the Sword Legion placed it's blades at Cpt. Falcon he grabbed the Sword Legion and toss it away to the abyss, causing Yamato to fall as well.
"Brother !" Shouted Akira
"Falcon what are you ! What !" Samus is shocked to see Cpt. Falcon possess large claw in where use to be his right arm.
"No he's an Aberration now !" Exclaimed Akira.
"An Aberration ?" Asked Bayonetta.
"That's what happened when a person completely redshifted, and unfortunately there's no way to reverse the process, I'm sorry but I must end him." Akira summoned her Arrow Legion and ready to battle.
"No, will this be like last time ? Rundas, Gandrayda, I have to end them when they're corrupted by Phazon...officer is there really no other way ?" Asked Samus hesitantly.
"I'm sorry, but there's no way to reverse the process, if things stays like this as they are he a Chimaera." Explained Akira.
Peach, Bayonetta, and R.O.B are speechless as now they might lose a teammate, Aberration Falcon then lunged at Peach only to be thwarted by Yamato whose Sword Legion saved him from falling.
"I've heard what happened, I'm sorry I was too late." Yamato informed with regret.
Aberrated Cpt. Falcon infused his claw with fire and slashed his former allies with his flaming claw, only for the others to dodge.
"Can we do this ? That's Cpt. Falcon, he's our friend." Stated Peach.
"The Falcon you know is long gone, he's a threat to humanity now." Akira her weapon to blaster mode and firing projectiles with her Arrow Legion assists by firing arrows. They then perform a sync attack where Akira and Arrow Legion combined their projectile attack and shot explosive projectile.
Aberrated Falcon got up, and he punched the ground creating a trail of fire pillars in straight line, forcing everyone to dodge the attack, Samus with a heavy heart fire her ice beam at her former ally, freezing him on the leg. Yamato bind the Aberrated Falcon with the Astral chain,Samus tell Yamato to move out of the way while she prepare to fire her weapon Peach and Bayonetta reluctantly used their magic to empower R.O.B as he fire a magically enchanted Diffusion Beam, and Samus using Hyper Beam, obliterating Cpt. Falcon without a trace. His golden plate on the other hand remain intact, but fell to the abyss below.
Peach break down in tears as she just killed her ally. Bayonetta also regret what she did even though there's no other way. Samus also have to witness losing another ally.
Yamato also felt regret for arriving too late.
Soon after a gate appeared and they all leave the Astral Plane.
Zone 33 - Alley
The mood is darken once they left the Astral Plane, no knows what to say.
"Hey uh so, I guess we'll take care of it from here, these guys will be coming with us to the police station." Yamato and Akira carried the still unconscious thugs back to their HQ. "I still have so many questions for you, but it looks like that can wait until later."
"We appreciate your help, and don't worry, we won't tell anyone about this." Stated Yamato
Yamato and Akira left the alley, and that leaves only the heroes minus Cpt. Falcon.
"You okay Peach ?" Asked Bayonetta.
"Yes, I'm fine." Answered Peach as she stopped crying.
"Cpt. Falcon is gone, this is all my fault." R.O.B blames himself for what happened.
"We should expect things like this to happen at war, we should head back, we can't let Falcon's death goes to waste."
"But Samus, if it bothers you, you can always talk to us." Offered Peach.
"Thanks for the offer princess, but it's not my first time putting down a corrupted ally, all we can do is to complete our mission." Answered Samus.
"You have a point, I suppose we didn't realize how high the stakes are, during the clan wars I lost my mother and my umbran sisters." Stated Bayonetta.
"But none of this is anyone's fault, we don't know anything about this Astral Plane !" Exclaimed Peach.
"But now we do, and we'll make sure this event doesn't repeat." Samus used her golden plate and teleported them all back to the ship.
Okay first I still can't believe I decided to kill off Captain Falcon, but then again I don't have excuses for him to be immune or resistant to Astral Plane corruption.
The rooftop mentioned is the location of the bomb and target practice sidequest in Astral Chain.
Samus suit can adapt to hostile environment by receiving the proper upgrade such as the Dark Suit and Phazon Suit, and by exposed to red matter Samus power suit gets upgraded to adapt to Astral Plane and giving her protection from it's corruption.
Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Luigi are considered to be the Seven Star Children, according to Kamek they possessed incredible powers but it isn't elaborated what this means, so I'd just made up this is the reason Peach immune from Astral Plane corruption.
R.O.B is a machine so he can't get corrupted and Mr. GW isn't exactly organic either so he's unaffected as well. As for Bayonetta let's just say her pact with demons protect her from corruption.
Yamato is one of the three names you can pick if you choose the male protagonist of Astral Chain.
Red pollen orb is a drug from Xenoblade chronicles, as for how it ended up in Astral Chain world ? To be revealed in future chapters.
I refer the Astral Chain Chimeras as Chimaeras to differentiate between this and Mother/Earthbound Chimeras.
It doesn't matter if Samus used a Sonic Boom earlier as Cpt. Falcon would have been redshifted as long as Yamato isn't around curing him will be impossible. And getting him out from Astral Plane will not end the redshifting.
Rundas and Gandrayda are fellow bounty hunters like Samus, she was forced to kill them after they got corrupted by Phazon, and just like before Samus is forced to fight another corrupted ally.
The tragedy in This chapter was caused by the heroes lack of knowledge of the Astral Plane, as R.O.B only take information from what general public knows, not information the police or government still not yet released to public, he managed to get some info, but he have to bypass heavy protections not to mention they stole a phone and have to be returned quickly.
