Smash Mansion - Library
Not long after everyone went on their mission, the residents on stand by continue doing their own thing to make use of their time, Roy is currently on the library, gathering some books to read, with Bayonetta accompanying him.
"Thanks for coming with me Bayonetta, I always wanted to learn all i can about magic." Roy is carrying stacks of books with.
"Sure i don't mind, but you know Roy you're quite the studious one, if only you were a student at Jeanne's school, I'm sure she's going to singing praises about you, you had no idea how several time i have to hear her complaining how lazy some of her students are." Bayonetta chuckles at Jeanne's predicament.
"They sure don't know what's it like, in my world only nobles are able to receive education, commoners have no such benefit." Replied Roy voicing his disappointment at modern kids.
"I know the feeling, similar thing did happen to me, although my case more...complicated." Remarked Bayonetta remembering things from her past.
"The fact that you ended up becoming a powerful fighter with those fearsome techniques can't possibly happen from lack of studying." Roy commenting on Bayonetta's abilities.
"Let's just say a lot of things happens, by the way Roy, I know I don't need to remind you this, but you do know that many of my powers are from my contract with demons right ? And my soul are bound to Hell, I wouldn't recommend studying Umbran Arts, you're a good soul, and don't belong in Hell." Stated Bayonetta.
"Yeah, well can you teach me the one that doesn't involve making contract with demons ?" Replied Roy sheepishly.
"That can be arranged, but why the interest in magic ?" Asked Bayonetta.
"I believe I can do more with magic than just swinging my sword, Cecilia said I don't have talent in magic, and learning it would be a waste of time, but I still wanted to learn, with my second chance in life, I think its time to learn something new." Answered Roy.
"You sure are dedicated, a feeling I'm rather familiar with, I do admit magic has many uses, I could train you, but you better not expect any leniency." Teased Bayonetta.
"I know, it won't be learning if you're going easy on me, right then, this one will be my last book." Roy grabbed one last book. "I have to say though whenever I came here, this place always reminds me of Askr's library, it has books from all over the world, but I guess Smash Mansion library is even greater since it have books from the entire universe."
As Roy make a comparison between Askr and World of Trophy Bayonetta noticed a book that piqued her interest, a book with black cover, and also it has a sigil of Umbra Witch.
Bayonetta grabbed the book and flipped through the pages, many of the spells are something she already knows such as Wicked Weave, Witch Walk, Time Travel, Barrier Creation, etc.. However as Bayonetta continue flipping the page she found a spell that caught her interest.
"Demon Masquerade ?" Bayonetta read the description of the spell. A forbidden and dangerous Umbran Art that allows a witch to fuse together with her pacted demons, with a risk of fusing together permanently if the witch and demons not in sync with one another, reading this Bayonetta remember something that happened centuries ago, in her childhood to be specific.
"Bayonetta ? Bayonetta ?" Roy snapped his finger to the witch, trying to get her attention.
"What...Roy...what was I'm doing again ?" Bayonetta snapped back to reality.
"You look like you're spacing out." Said Roy.
"Do I now ? I guess there's something in this book that interests me...but Roy, you will be coming to Earth right, you want to see Mac's driving lesson ?"
"Yeah, I'm reading these after I get back, I wanted to know the world Mac live in, cars are people from Earth use to go to another location right ?" Asked Roy. "Is it like what Cpt. Falcon's owned ? Or Bowser Jr's ?"
"No, cars can't fly, at least in current century, Cpt. Falcon came from future Earth, and as for Jr, I suppose his world technology already above Earth level." Replied Bayonetta.
"I see, well guess I have to see it for myself, I'm going to put this books in my room, please train with me when i get back." Roy grabbed his books and left the library.
After Roy left, Bayonetta looking at the Demon Masquerade page again. "I wonder if i'll see you again."
Archive Room
Prof. Vector went inside the Archive Room and speak to Isabelle. "Alright Isabelle it's my shift now, you can go take a break."
"Okay Prof. Vector, it's really nice to have shifts to share the workload." Isabelle got up from the chair and stretches her arm.
"I hear you, I usually do my work alone, but it foes sounds nice to have a helping hand now and then, so I take it everyone us doing just fine ?" Prof. Vector asked Isabelle the current situation.
"Yes, pretty much, although I do hope it's because they got things under control that they don't need help." Isabelle feeling doubt.
"All we can do is to trust our friends, and besides if they fail that means we just have to succeed next time." Prof. Vector assured Isabelle.
"Yeah, you're right Prof. Vector, well I guess I'll be going now." After Isabelle left the room Prof. Vector emerald detector begin beeping.
"The detector is beeping ! A Chaos emerald must've appeared somewhere !" Prof. Vector typed the keyboard furiously until he found the source of the signal. "Found it !"
He then grabbed his golden plate and spoke to everyone present. "Attention Everyone ! A new Chaos Emerald have been discovered !"
Smash Mansion
Hearing this, the entire mansion is in mild uproar, Samus then used her golden plate to replied to Prof. Vector. "Where is it ? The emerald's location ?"
Archive Room
"According to the computer, it's in a planet called Titania." Answered Prof. Vector as Fox and Falco surprised by that answer.
"Wait ! Did you say Planet Titania !?" A hologram of Fox appeared in Prof. Vector golden plate. "Are you really sure !?"
"Yes, why ? Do you know that planet ?" Asked Prof. Vector.
"Yes ! I've been on that planet before during the war with Andross ! That planet is protected by an ion storm and so the weather is...far from friendly." Answered Fox.
"Well Fox since you're so familiar with the location I'm hoping you would attend this mission." Prof. Vector asked Fox.
"Fine by me, I got nothing better to do, and it wouldn't hurt to have someone familiar with the destination." Fox agreed to do this mission.
"OK Fox, head to the Conference Room for mission briefing, there after the mission briefing we can ask anyone else who wanted to come." And so Prof. Vector used his golden plate to tell everyone to head to the conference room for a mission briefing.
Conference Room
Prof. Vector and Fox standing in front, facing everyone else. "Okay, so a few minutes ago a Chaos Emerald just appeared, it's in a planet called Titania, which Fox here is familiar with."
And now it's Fox's turn to speak. "Okay normally we just ask who'd wanted to come, but Titania is not just a normal desert, it has strong magnetic storm, and flying vehicles have hard time getting through, I also don't recommend we walked into that planet without protection, last time I went there i used my Landmaster tank, which right now with the Cornerian military."
"Magnetic storms huh ? I'm not sure I can go, I'm not equipped with protection against alien weather." Stated Mega Man.
"Magnetic storms aren't that dangerous for organic beings like most of us, but even then planet Titania still have active defense mechanism from ancient civilization." Explained Fox.
"Well there you have it, after hearing what Fox said, it's a dangerous place, bad weather and still active security systems, this isn't like the world's all have been before, which is why if no one wished to accept this mission then it's understandable." Said Prof. Vector. "I'd rather not risk anyone's life, not only that we don't want to lose anyone here, but if either one of us fall in battle we will be used to bolster the rank of Warriors of Fallen Stars."
"But if we don't go, the enemy will get their hands on the Chaos Emerald !" Exclaimed DK.
"I know, but risking your life to that hostile planet isn't worth the risk either." Replied Prof. Vector.
"Then I'll volunteer." Rosalina raised her hand as everyone looked at her. "I can shield everyone with my force field, it will took more than a vicious storm to bypass my barrier."
"Well that is one way to do things." Commented Fox.
"Desert huh ? Then I would like to join this mission as well." Robin raised his hand as everyone looked at him.
"Robin are you for real ? This may be a desert but this place is completely different from Plegian desert !" Exclaimed Aversa, not agreeing to Robin's decision.
"I know, but knowing new location could be advantageous to us, I want to use every knowledge I have to our advantage, maybe even take some of these technologies for us to use." Replied Robin.
"Fine, but you won't go by yourself, I'm coming to, no if or buts." Aversa insisting on coming with Robin.
"That's fine, it would be reassuring with you around dear." Robin smiled at his wife which makes her blush.
"Mind if I'm coming along Fox ?" Krystal walked forward.
"Oh no, not at all, glad you chose to come Krystal." Fox welcoming Krystal's enthusiasm.
"So then, it would be Fox, Krystal, Rosalina, Robin, and Aversa ?" Asked Prof. Vector. "Any other volunteer ?"
Tharja about to stand from her seat, but...
"You're not coming Falco ?" Asked Fox which interrupts her.
"Yeah I've been thinking, I think it's time to get the Great Fox back from the military." Said Falco.
"The Great Fox is under Cornerian military right now and as we all know they're not right in their head." Remarked Fox.
"Have to admit with friends like these nothing's impossible." Falco in rare moments of humility, complimenting others people.
"Surely you're not infiltrating the military base yourself, because that would be reckless and suicidal." Said Fox.
"Infiltrating a military base would be difficult, with soldiers roaming the place, not to mention weapons on close proximity, if only we can find a way to subdue the soldiers." Pondered Robin.
And at this moment Tharja got up and volunteered herself. "Very well Robin, since you ask nicely, my hexes will sure put those soldier out of commission."
"Trying to impress my husband again Tharja ? Don't you already have a man to impress ?" Aversa glared at Tharja.
"I don't mind, this is our agreement in the first place, I married her knowing this anyway." Remarked Henry. "Oh by the way let me help put those soldiers out of their misery."
"Hey hey ! We don't need anyone dying, make them pass out is more than enough !" Fox reprimand Henry.
"Boring, and I want to see the blood of talking animals." Whined Henry.
"So then Tharja and Henry would like to help Falco ?" Asked Prof. Vector.
"I doubt the Cornerian military have defense against magic, and from what I've seen, Henry and Tharja would be perfect fit." Fox agreeing on the two mages.
"Fine, I suppose they can come with..(magic huh ? Then maybe..)" Falco seemed to have something in his mind
"Well anyway we will retrieve the Great Fox and maybe bail you out while we're at it Fox." Falco teased Fox.
"Yeah yeah if we're still not done with our mission, now then, I think it's time to leave." Before the heroes leave Rosalina cast a barrier on her team as Fox teleported to Titania using the golden plate.
"It's time for us to go too." Falco, Henry and Tharja then teleported away as well using Falco's golden plate.
Titania
Fox and co. arrived at Planet Titania, true to Fox's description it's a desert planet, with sands as far as the eyes can see, but not only that, as there are several ruins as well, indicating ancient civilization once thrived here, but not only there'd sands and ruins, right now there's a brutal sandstorm where Fox and Co. stand right now.
"Sandstorm ? How typical." Snarked Fox.
"At least we're not too far from the emerald, let's just grabbed it and leave this planet." Suggested Krystal.
"It should be just ahead let's get to it." Robin looked at his golden plate as the heroes walked forward, thanks to Rosalina's barrier the storm doesn't affect the heroes as they proceed without problem.
As the heroes press forward, they saw a green light, insisting on moving forward, the light is getting brighter and brighter, not even the heavy sandstorm in this planet able to obscure such view, and at long last the heroes reached the source of the light, a floating green gem emitting a bright light.
"Wow, so this is a Chaos Emerald ?" Fox pull out his golden plate to confirm the object in front of him, the golden plate makes a beeping sound, confirming that this is a Chaos Emerald.
"The way that thing float in midair really shows what an otherworldly object it is." Robin stare in awe at the sight of the emerald.
"It's beautiful, however I'm glad something like this doesn't exist in our world, Validar would stop at nothing to get his hands on something like this...like how he raided my village." Aversa grumbled a bit, remembering her past.
"We won't let Validar or all of our enemies get their hands kn powerful objects like this." Robin assured his wife. "We won't let what happen to you happens to other people."
Krystal waved her staff as she create a force field encasing the emerald and pull it towards her. "Got it, now we should get out of here before..."
"Everyone watch out !" Rosalina shouted as she sensed incoming attack, and soon lightning is formed from the skies above and strike down the heroes.
Corneria Military Base
Falco, Tharja, and Henry teleported to the base, they appeared in the most remote part of the base.
"We should be fine here, people almost never went to this part of the base." Said Falco.
"So this is a military base in other world, I'm curious about the amount of destruction you can create with the weapons stored here." Henry started smiling gleefully.
"These weapons are not to be used here to mindlessly slaughter anyone, honestly it's like I'm talking to Powalski right now, look everyone's been brainwashed by Neo Subspace Army so we're not shedding anyone's blood." Stated Falco.
"But they will attack us on sight should they know we're here, what's your plan if that's the case ?" Asked Tharja.
"You see, I'm actually expecting your expertise on this, since you two are magic user, I was wondering if you could you know, just put everyone to sleep with your magic ?" Answered Falco.
"Putting everyone to a deep slumber in one fell swoop ? I suppose that's manageable." Tharja conjure a small cauldron and conjure ingredients to perform her magic. "This shouldn't take long to do, but if there's a chance someone sees us they need to be dealt with, the process can't be interrupted."
"Got it, Henry and I will be on the lookout, and no killing anyone got it." Falco warned Henry.
"Okay, i don't like making my friends sad anyway, so i'll do what you say." And with that the two agreed to be on the lookout.
"So Henry, Lucina tell her story that you used to be in the enemy side before joining Chrom ?" Falco curious about Henry situation.
"Oh yeah, Plegia and Ylisse was at war at that time, although King Gangrel fell in battle before I could be deployed so I was never dispatched to fight Chrom, and good thing too I happen to like the Shepherds." Replied Henry. "What about you ?"
"Let's just say Fox invited me to join him after seeing my skills, the idea of playing by the rules doesn't suit my style, and since Fox give me freedom as long as I show results, well here I am, even I got chosen to participate in this tournament." Explained Falco.
"Oooo..I wonder why i'm not chosen, surely someone with my power is a worthy candidate." Henry musing why he wasn't summoned to World of Trophy.
"Master Hand picking people from all over the universe so you may have to compete with millions of others, besides this isn't a fight to death anyway...well define death in World of Trophy." Replied Falco.
Tharja then approached the heroes. "The spell is complete, and so..." Tharja imbued herself, Henry, and Falco with a magical aura. "This should protect us from my spell, the cauldron will create a smoke that will put people to sleep, it's enough to put the entire military base to sleep, it won't spread further than that."
And true to Tharja's word the heroes listen to a sound of someone falling, Falco take a look to see Cornerian soldiers dropping like flies as they all fell too slumber, some of the soldiers panicked seeing their comrades dropping like flies, but soon those soldiers fell asleep as well.
"It's working ! We're able to reach the Great Fox with minimal resistance now !" Exclaimed Falco.
"I'm not sure if my spell affect people inside a building, but if they stepped outside they will fall asleep as well, and it's not like they can attack us from inside a building anyway." Stated Tharja.
"Well it doesn't matter then if they see us, follow me you two, I know where they keep our ship !" Falco then led Tharja and Henry to their destination.
Military Hangar
"This is the hangar where they kept the Great Fox." Falco tried to open the door, but the door is locked. "Of course it's locked, and i don't have the keycard to open it."
"Well then allow me." Henry form a fireball in his hand and launched it at the door, blasting it away.
"Well I suppose we can't be picky about our methods right now." Remarked Falco as the three went inside.
As the trio about to reach the Great Fox, they realize they're not alone.
Titania
"Is everyone alright ?" Rosalina asked her teammates who are on the ground.
"Y-yeah, thanks to your barrier Rosalina we're fine, but that lightning really did caught us off guard." Robin helped Aversa to stand.
"Did something like this happens to you before Fox ?" Asked Krystal as Fox also helped Krystal stand.
"No, didn't think a lightning would strike down on us like that." Replied Fox.
And then a sound of shaking can be heard and what's it like a stomping sound.
"Uuh..what is that ? Fox is there a...gigantic creature living in this planet ?" Asked Robin nervously.
"Not that I know of." Answered Fox. "There's Goras, but I don't think it's able to make a shaking at this magnitude."
"We got what we came here for, let's just leave this world already !" Exclaimed Aversa.
"Okay, let me just..." Before Robin can grab his golden plate, another lightning strike the heroes, this time with more intensity.
The trembling sound is getting bigger and bigger as if whatever causing it getting close to the heroes, and then a loud roar is heard by the heroes.
The attacks stopped as the heroes saw a gigantic figure behind the sandstorm, the figure reveal itself to be Vah Naboris, one for the divine beast in Link's world.
"It's Vah Naboris ! So this is what's been attacking us !" Exclaimed Robin.
"This thing is too big for us to handle, there's no way we will win against this thing." Aversa is looking at the size of the divine beast..
"Yeah, I know, but now that the attack stopped we can finally..." As Robin about our grab his golden plate again, a figure teleported in front of the heroes, someone Robin and Aversa familiar with.
"Algol ! I got a feeling you're a part of this." Remarked Aversa.
"Well well well, if it isn't Aversa and Robin, looks like luck's on my side, the traitor and the vessel in one place." Algol maniacally laughed at his fortune.
"Cultist, they're always the insane kind." Fox replied with a deadpan tone.
"Anyway, Aversa I'm surprised, to think someone like you can land yourself a husband at your age, now this is really something worth celebrating hahaha ha.. "Algol then gets struck by lightning courtesy from Aversa, although it barely hurts him.
"Hold on, Algol how are you just fine in this world without protection ?" Robin noticed Algol have no protection on him despite the violent weather.
"Huh ? Ah but of course I have received blessing from Lord Grima, why before I leave for this mission Lord Grima imbued his powers on me, that's why this weather and Aversa feeble magic doesn't have any effect on me."
Hearing this Robin focused on Algol as he finally sensed Grima's power on Algol.
"I see...well it's nice seeing you but we're very busy, so if you don't mind we will take our leave." Robin is using his golden plate to teleport but.
"Oh no you don't !" Algol grabbed his black plate and hit the heroes with a wave like energy that block the golden plate teleportation abilities.
"What the ! I can't teleport us out of here !" Robin tapping his golden plate in panic.
"Algol what did you do !" Yelled Aversa.
"Oh nothing much, just to make sure you won't be able to escape, after all we're after that gem your animal friend is holding." Algol pointed at the emerald held by Krystal.
"What would Grima want with a Chaos Emerald !?" Asked Robin.
"I don't need to tell you that, unless of course you came back to us and be his vessel once again." Replied Algol.
"Never ! And we will never let Grima get this emerald !" Robin makes his declaration.
"You sure about that ? Did you really think you can win with Vah Naboris on my side ? By my command lightning will come down at you just like rain water, I think it's clear who have the advantage here." Algol taunted the heroes.
("Everyone, I can teleport us out of here, we don't need to listen to him.") Rosalina spoke to everyone with telepathy.
Algol saw the heroes face as they no longer in distraught, unfortunately Algol has something else in mind.
"I don't know what you all thinking, but if you don't hand over the emerald this world is doomed." Algol tried to threatened the heroes. "Is the word Phazon familiar with any of you ?"
The heroes are shocked to hear that word coming out from Algol's mouth.
"Phazon ! Those..those poison !" Exclaimed Fox.
"Ah yes, the very same, it would be unfortunate should any one of these worlds are infected by the Phazon now would it ? Maybe the kind of world that has a busy city on it ? Like Corneria." Algol continued in mocking tone.
"You ! You're bluffing ! There's no way you can control the Phazon !" Exclaimed Fox.
"Wanna bet ?" Algol tapping his black plate, and soon a wormhole opened in the skies of Titania and a strange looking meteor came out from it.
"It's a Leviathan !" Rosalina create a black hole that sucked in the Leviathan, preventing it from landing on Titania.
"Not bad, but you know I can always summon more right, Phaaze have enough Leviathans to send to anywhere in the universe, I just send the signal through the black plate and Phaaze will send it's seed to the appointed location."
"Do you know what kind of thing you're playing with ! Phazon will corrupt and destroy a planet ecosystem, bringing danger to the planet it infected !" Exclaimed Rosalina.
"Like I care, as long as it's not my world, now then the emerald or I'll send another Leviathan again." With the threat of Phazon corruption the heroes are forced with a harsh choice, either give the emerald to Algol and letting Grima have it or escape and have Titania and maybe the entirety of Lylat System exposed to Phazon.
Military Hangar
"Slippy ? What are you doing here !?" Falco surprised to see Slippy.
"Falco ! I-i have to alert the others !" Slippy panicking about to grab his phone, however Slippy's phone float away from his hand and got thrown away.
"I don't think so, and as for your friends, they're fast asleep for now, there's no backup for you." Said Tharja who telekinetically throw Slippy's phone away.
"No offense Slippy, but if you're suppose to be guarding the Great Fox from us, I think they made a wrong choice." Remarked Falco.
"W-well I'm not the one who you should worry about !" Slippy pull out his black plate and summon a monster, it's a large skeletal like monster.
"Goras !" Shouted Falco.
"So what is this thing again ?" Tharja asked Fox.
"According to the database, this is an ancient weapon from planet Titania, Henry we have to fight that thing." Henry doesn't respond to Falco as he's mesmerized by the sight of the Goras
"Wow ! This thing is incredible ! Where can I get one!" Henry is in awe at the sight of the Goras.
"Henry ! Fan boy later, this thing is gonna kill us !" Falco grabbed Henry's collar and pull him away from the Goras as the three found a place to hide.
"Falco, what can you tell us about this thing ?" Asked Tharja who are hiding behind large wooden boxes along with Falco and Henry.
"See that four arms ? It attacked by using claws in it's four arms, it can also fire a beam. From it's mouth, and using it's tail to attack, hopefully the enemy doesn't make anymore modifications to this thing."
Goras raised its leg and stomped the wooden boxes, destroying it and exposing the heroes.
Goras then opened its mouth and fire a beam, but the trio able to dodge the attack and the beam destroy the hangar wall, leaving a large hole in the wall.
"That's right Goras, eliminate them ! Glory to Neo Subspace Army !" Shouted Slippy.
"I wonder if we can win against this thing ?" Henry voicing doubt.
"Listen, the Goras may look strong, but it's body is quite frail, a few heavy hits should tear it apart." Answered Falco. "My idea is to force that thing to use its beam again, I will bounced it back using my reflector, anyway Zelda can use her magic to merely bind people from moving, can you do the same ?"
"Of course I can, it's a basic magic." Henry boasted.
"Okay, I want you to bind it's four arm, if it can't use it arms, it will be forced to use it's beam attack." Explain Falco.
"Easy peasy, okay dear, let's put this thing in it's place." Henry offered his hand to Tharja as she take it, they both then used their magic to fly to face off against the Goras.
"Seriously ? These two aren't birds and yet they can fly, this is completely unfair." Falco jealous of Henry and Tharja flight capabilities.
Goras launched it's four arms against Henry and Tharja, two left arms going after Tharja while two right arms goes after Henry. Henry and Tharja able to dodge the incoming attack as they shoot fireball and lightning respectively at Goras. The blast from both attack pushed Goras behind a bit, Goras continue its attack as it launched it's four arms again, this time though Henry and Tharja used their magic to magically bind it's four arms, creating magic circle around it's arms functioning like a magical handcuff.
Goras roared as it struggled to move both it's arms to no avail, and at this point Falco came out from hiding and start taunting the beast. "Hey ugly ! Can't move your arms ? Then I guess you can't get me !"
Angered by Falco's taunting, as Goras unable to move its arms it started to fire off it's powerful beam. The beam is directed towards Falco, but seeing this is a part in his plan, Falco begin using his reflector, the Goras beam got caught in the reflector and soon it bounced back toward the Goras, destroying several of its body parts.
This has exposed the Goras heart. "Henry ! Tharja ! Aim for the heart !" Falco run towards the Goras and shoot the beast heart with his blaster, the two Plegian sorcerers follow suit by combining their powers, Henry and Tharja extend their hands together towards Goras and fire a powerful dark beam, aiming at its heart, and so with enough damage the Goras has been destroyed.
"We did it !" Exclaimed Falco.
"Aww, too bad, I find that thing fascinating, oh well I'll just recreate that thing with my magic later." Henry picked up the remains of the Goras, hoping to make another one using it's body parts, he stored them inside his tome which has been enchanted with magic so it will be able to store objects.
Seeing this Slippy can't believe what he sees as his knees shaken.
As the heroes turned their attention to him Slippy tried to threaten them. "D-don't come any closer or I'll.. I'll destroy the Great Fox !"
However for some reason Slippy is feeling tired. "Wow, I'm feeling drowsy all of a sudden...no..I.. must stay..a..wake." Unable to resist anymore, Slippy finally succumbed to drowsiness.
"He just..fell asleep ?" Henry is quite surprised by what he see.
"That fight break some of the walls here, Tharja's sleeping smoke must've entered this building." Falco looked at the destroyed walls.
"So what do we do with him ?" Asked Tharja.
"Bring him along, and uhh are you two familiar with unbrainwashing people ?" Asked Falco.
"Oh freeing people from brainwashing is easy." Henry answered confidently.
"Okay let's get in first, I wonder how Fox is doing right now ?" Falco carry Slippy over his shoulder and entered the Great Fox.
Titania
("What are we suppose to do, he tied out hands with that Phazon meteor.") Fox using Rosalina's telepathic power to relay his thoughts.
("It's too soon to give up, I have an idea.") Rosalina looked at Algol and used her gravity power on him.
Algol's body getting heavy and heavier and he soon fall to the ground, Rosalina used her telekinesis to grab Algol's black plate. "I'll be taking this with me."
"G-give that back to me at once ! You will regret ever crossing the Grimleal !" Algol continued his threats despite pinned to the ground.
Seeing himself in helpless position, Algol begin to use plan b. "Hey ! Thunderblight ! Get down here and help me !"
Hearing it's master order a monster float from the top of the divine beast and descend to the ground below. The way to describe this thing that it's a floating humanoid abomination carrying sword and shield with green light, and it also have several orbs floating behind it.
"Hah ! Behold the Thunderblight Ganon ! A being crested by dark magic, you cannot destroy it easily !" Boasted Algol.
"For someone who's pinned to the ground you sure are chatty, anyway we will take this thing down." As the heroes ready to fight Thunderblight Ganon zipped past them at incredible speed and slashing the heroes while at it, fortunately thanks to Rosalina's barrier the attacks did nothing, although the heroes did surprised by the creature blinding speed.
"That thing's incredibly fast !" Fox can't believe what he just see.
"We got the emerald and Algol's black plate, we can just leave him here !" Point out Aversa.
"No, not yet, right now Grima is still inhabiting Morgan's body, and since Morgan is an incompatible vessel, Grima can't last too long in her body, he still need all the minions he can get." Pondered Robin. "We can leave him here, but someone from the enemy side can always rescue him."
"Then what do you...aagh !" Aversa surprised as her barrier is being attacked by Thunderblight Ganon.
Thunderblight Ganon duplicate itself and intensifying it's attacks, and soon the barrier barrier is chipped away little by little from the relentless attacks.
"The barrier won't hold like this !" Exclaimed Robin. "This thing moves too fast I don't know where to hit !"
("Everyone don't panic I have another plan.") Rosalina told everyone using her telepathy.
("What do you have in mind ?") Asked Fox.
("First things first, Krystal I need you to pretend to surrender and promised to hand over the emerald.") Rosalina explained the first step of her plan.
("Okay, I trust you.") Krystal then begin to execute Rosalina's plan as she surrender to Algol. "Alright alright please stop the attack ! We'll hand over the emerald to you !"
"Heh ! Took you long enough." Rosalina released Algol from her heavy gravity attack as he begun to stand. "Ugh, that was a terrible experience, Thunderblight ! Cease your attack !" By Algol's command Thunderblight Ganon and it's copies stop attacking.
"Now the emerald." Algol extend his hand to receive the emerald.
Krystal walked towards Algol to hand over the emerald, as she got close, Rosalina teleported the emerald to her hand and begin to harness the emerald's power, enhancing her power even further, Rosalina is surrounded by bright light to further show how empowered she is by the emerald.
"What the ! You ! You tricked me !" Algol yelled at Rosalina.
"I never have any intent on handing the emerald to you, at the very least you can see the kind of power this object hold." Rosalina speak as her voice echoes, terrifying Algol.
"I-I'm not afraid of you ! Thunderblight ! Attack her and get the emerald !" Obeying Algol's command Thunderblight Ganon charged towards Rosalina, but the mother of cosmos easily repels it's attacks, with a barrier, as the beast is staggered from the impact, Rosalina fired a large powerful beam of starlight at the Thunderblight Ganon, the creature have been vaporized by the attack.
Algol and the heroes is agaped, seeing Rosalina's emerald enhanced power easily vaporize the Thunderblight Ganon just in one attack. Rosalina then turned her attention to Algol, she restrain Algol with a restraint made out of cosmic energy, this restraint not only seal his movement, but also capable to seal powers as well, in this case Algol's ability to teleport.
"Mission accomplished." Rosalina revert to her normal form and smiled innocently.
"Wow, Rosalina that was..."
"Actually I don't use that much power." Smiled Rosalina which rather terrify the others.
"I'm glad she's on our side." Aversa whispered to Robin who sheepishly smiled.
A beeping sound can be heard, and it seems it came from Fox's pants. Fox grabbed his golden plate and answer the call. "Yeah Falco, we're just done here, guess there's no need to save me huh ? So what about you ? I guess you get the Great Fox back ? Really ? That's great news !"
The others are wondering what is this great news Fox said.
"Okay you guys, Falco is on his way here." Said Fox.
And then a portal opened in the skies of Titania right above the heroes, the Great Fox emerged from the portal and descend down. As the ship touched the ground, the ship hatch is opened. Falco, Henry, and Tharja came out from the ship, already protected by a barrier of course thanks to Tharja and Henry's magic.
"Guess I don't need to save you huh ? And here I am thinking of getting the glory for once." Remarked Falco.
"C'mon Falco, you know you're already famous in Lylat System." Replied Fox.
"I'm glad you're okay Robin." Tharja feeling relief seeing Robin is unharmed. "Oh, and you too Aversa."
Aversa roll her eyes and Replied sarcastically. "Wow, thanks for caring."
"A-anyway we have familiar face right here." Robin pointed at the restrained Algol.
"Algol ? Wow I'm so happy to see you ! I haven't repay you for trying to kill Noire, now what kind of punishment we shall inflict on you ?" Henry said with a smile in his face as Algol's face turns pale.
"Yes dear, It would be difficult to decide on a punishment for this scum, maybe we should try everything we have in mind." Added Tharja.
"Oh that's brilliant ! I can't wait to hear Algol's scream !" Algol is starting to freak out at the idea of being tortured by Henry and Tharja.
"NO ! NO ! PLEASE ! I-im just following orders ! That's right I'm just following Lord Grima's orders ! I'm just a victim in all of this like all of you !" Algol begin begging for mercy.
"I don't know, should we believe him dear ?" Asked Tharja.
"Hmm...now i'm not so sure...oh wait yes I'm still sure ! We're still gonna continue with torturing him." Henry pulling a fast one on Algol.
"Then it's settled, we're bringing him back with us to the World of Trophy, Henry, Tharja please squeeze every information you can get from him." Said Fox.
"You got it ! Well make him talk one way or another." Henry and Tharja nodded in agreement.
"Well Fox, speaking of familiar face, I have another passenger on the ship, come on out Slippy !" Falco call put to Slippy to Fox's surprise.
"Fox !" Slippy run towards Fox and give him a hug.
"Wowow Slippy am I glad to see you, but wait, does this means ?"
"Yep he's no longer under the enemy control." Confirmed Falco.
"Sorry I got brainwashed again, and I promised myself never to let it happen again like the Anglar incident." Slippy apologizing to Fox.
"Look, what's important is you're safe, and I doubt this is an enemy Cornerian military can win against." Assured Fox.
"Ah you're Rosalina right ? I'm really sorry for what happen to your home, and what we almost do to your star like friends." Slippy apologized to Rosalina for what the military have done to her.
"I'm not mad with you, Neo Subspace Army is the one responsible for this, and as for the Comet Observatory, Andross will be the one to suffer for destroying ny home." Rosalina assured Slippy that he's not to blame for what the military have done.
"So Falco, how did Slippy freed from his brainwashing ?" Asked Fox.
"Not a long story, but why not ? It all started after Slippy fell asleep from Tharja's magic.
Flashback...
The Great Fox
Falco, Tharja, and Henry went inside the ship, Falco put the unconscious Slippy to the floor. "Now all we got to do is to activate the ship and save Fox's behind from trouble."
"Hold on, I find something strange, why is the ship is still here knowing this is your property?" Henry point out the oddity of why the Great Fox is still at Corneria. "I think the enemy would send it somewhere unknown or put traps in it ?"
"Now did you mention it do find it weird why they still leave the Great Fox here, and intact to boot, unfortunately these kind of things aren't my specialty, but it is Slippy's specialty...can you guys remove his brainwashing now ?" Asked Falco.
"Leave it to me." Henry proudly said as he begin using his magic on Slippy. "First I'll wake him up."
Executing the first step, Henry used his magic to wake Slippy from his passing out. 'Aah ! What happen ! Where am ! Falco ! Wait till I report you to Neo Subspace Army, you will..." Tharja used her magic to restrain Slippy as she create a magic circle and dark shadowy hands emerge from it and pin Slippy down. "I stop him from moving, please hurry it up."
And so Henry began to use his magic on Slippy, after a few minutes passed, Slippy finally came to his senses.
"There ! All done, he won't report us to the enemy now." Henry has finished fixing Slippy's mind.
"Uugh..." Slippy feeling groggy.
"Hey, Slippy you okay ?" Asked Falco, he knelt down and tapped Slippy's shoulder.
"Oh, hey Falco...I can't believe all the things I've done." Slippy looked down full of regrets.
"You...remember all the things you do ?" Asked Falco.
"Yeah, and I'm sorry for everything, I've done many awful things." Slippy looked down despondently.
"Hey, it's not your fault, the enemy get to you, if you're really sorry then join us and take down the Neo Subspace Army." Falco offered Slippy his hand.
Slippy grabbed Falco"s hand confirming his answer.
"Good, and look, Slippy during our absence, did the military or anyone tampered with the Great Fox ? I mean Neo Subspace Army should've know that were going to retrieve our ship sooner or later." Asked Falco.
"Oh that's right I hacked ROB64 and installed bombs here, I'll go and fix everything." And so Slippy begin fixing the Great Fox, removing the bombs and restoring ROB64 back to normal.
Flashback ended..
Titania
"And that's how we got here" Falco finished telling the story.
"Good to have you back Slippy, with you back on our side now Team Star Fox is complete."
"Yes, I promise to make up for all the things I've done while under their control." Agreed Slippy.
"It's time to leave this planet, let's return to someplace where the weather isn't...hostile." Rosalina waved her wand and teleported everyone back to World of Trophy.
World of Trophy
The heroes returned to World of Trophy, Rosalina teleported everyone including Algol, The Great Fox, and Vah Naboris itself. However the mansion is nowhere in sight.
"Rosalina ? Where are we ? Doesn't seem we're anywhere near the mansion ?" Robin looked around the surrounding, just an empty wilderness.
"There's something I'd like to do before we return to the mansion." Rosalina stared at Algol, she used her telepathy to read Algol's mind, Rosalina is disgusted by what she sees as this man committed many heinous deeds and stop probing. "You're a vile, despicable man." Rosalina used her power to increase her size until she become a giant, slightly taller than Vah Naboris, the others can only stare, Rosalina raised her right leg and stomped Algol, crushing him under her heel as Algol is now trophified from the fatal attack.
Rosalina then shrink back to her regular size. "Sorry about that, I don't want him to know where he's going to be held prisoner." Rosalina turned towards the others who are still processing what just happened.
"Right...well Henry, Tharja, just take Algol to the prison on Monster Sanctuary, you two can interrogate him there." Said Robin.
With Rosalina done with what she wants to do things Algol, she teleported everyone and everything back to the mansion.
Plegia Castle
"Where is Algol ? He should be back by now !" Grima floating back and forth waiting for Algol, but then he stopped as Grima seemed to be in pain. "Gaah you're getting more and more persistent you worm !"
"I can feel you're weakening Grima, I will keep fighting back until I can push you out of my body !" Morgan is taking control of her body and rebelling against Grima.
"Stop struggling you worm ! You dare defy the Fell Dragon !" Grima taking over again.
"I am ! And don't even think I'm going to give up my body without a fight !" Morgan pushing back again.
The two kept struggling with one another, but unfortunately Grima able to defeat Morgan, but the victory is hollow as Grima knows he can't stay in Morgan's body for long nor can he keep suppressing her, this struggle took a lot more toll then the previous ones.
Suddenly the door opened as Validar went inside the room. "Master Grima ! I heard screaming and fighting noises ! Does it happen again ?"
"Your granddaughter is getting more and more out of control these past few days, she must've known my grip on this body is weakening."
"It's getting more and more frequent now, please be patient my lord, Algol will be here with the chaos emerald." Validar tried to assure Grima.
And now a projection of Demise appeared in front if Grima. "Grima, I can't sense my minion anymore where's yours !?" Asked Demise.
"Algol ? I don't know, he's not back yet !" Replied Grima, but then he came to a realization. "He fail did he ?"
"Your minion cost me my Thunderblight ! I take it you will offer your people to me ?" Asked Demise. "I need souls to make more of those Blight Ganons, I can always ask Hades for more, but that would mean I'm letting you get away from your own fault."
"Fine, take as many as you need to create your Blight Ganons !" Yelled Grima.
"I will make sure their souls not going to waste, of course Grima, I do hope your minion doesn't disappoint me next time, or else this partnership will end, and you know it too don't you, with your condition you need us more than we need you." Demise's holographic projection then disappeared.
"I need that Chaos Emerald, if it has the power I heard it has then I won't need a host to survive, I can harness it's power and I can be in my true form with no drawback ! If this keeps up its just a matter of time before the other Neo Subspace Army members start exploiting or targeting me !"
"Yes master, I will make sure you will have the emerald you need." Said Validar.
Someone entered the room again, and it turned out to be general Mustafa. "I apologized for eavesdropping, but there may have a solution to that problem."
Shorter than expected, but at least I'm done, work kept me busy from writing.
Titania is one of the planets from Star Fox games, it's a desert planet where maybe Goras the only living being empowered with Chaos emerald ? oh now that's making her even more OP than usual.
Slippy may be hated by the fans, but he's not hated by the Star Fox characters, so Fox and Falco won't be mean to him, well at least Fox won't.
