Chapter 30

Midoriya only stared at the roof of his hospital room, lost in thought, while remembering what took place in the training camp. It was repeating in his mind like a movie, and there was nothing he could do about it. Midoriya wasn't even hurt, or at least not really. He had some injuries, but nothing was worth worrying about when Galadriel was out there. Lost and probably wounded in the hands of the villains. Midoriya couldn't keep wasting his time there. It was not right.

Midoriya stood up from his bed, and while sore, compared to what he has suffered before, those wounds were nothing but a nuisance. Still, there was the question of what option was there for him. What could he do? Midoriya did not know where the villain league was or any lead towards them. He had no clue of anything which only brought anger to him since now, a dear friend of was in trouble and couldn't do anything about it.

"What type of hero am I? If I can't even save a friend?" Midoriya asked, to no one but himself.

Yet, while he thought about it, another thing came to his head and was the power Galadriel held. The way the mountain itself split in two, and the power he felt that day. It was hard to forget, but it brought questions about Galadriel's abilities. Midoriya wondered what type of Quirk she truly has. Was it truly a Quirk or something else? Still, whatever it was, the only thing he was worried about currently was the safety of Galadriel.

However, Midoriya didn't know, but he wasn't the only one who was thinking the same thing. Since, abruptly, opening the door. The rest of class 1-A entered the room to check on him.

"Ah, Midoriya! You're awake now!"

The sudden arrival of the rest of the students surprised Midoriya, who felt overwhelmed by them. Yet, he saw how stoic and cold both Todoroki and Bakugo looked. They were quiet, and their expressions did not show any sign of happiness, or relaxation, not one bit. So, it made Midoriya wonder if they were also thinking the same thing as him. It would not shock him if they did, but then again. Perhaps they could all do something about it.

"Have you been watching TV? The media's been all over what happened. They have the school and the teachers over the floor with their reports. It's pretty bad," Kaminari said, and Midoriya only nodded.

The entire country was in turmoil for what took place, and adding more fuel to the fire was the kidnapping of the golden child and most famous student in U. A, Galadriel Nazarick. The newspaper kept on talking about how heroes were nothing but glorified vigilantes. They had too much power, and sway in the government, by just being famous. Their popularity was a double-edged sword since the more popular they were, the more money goes their way and that money could be more useful in the hands of the Police Department, or health workers. Yet, it was not really something that Midoriya considered being awful. It was just business. He understood it. Because of that, heroes were doing their utmost best to keep on fighting for a better world. Or well, Midoriya would like to think it was their reason for it. Maybe he was still too young, or naïve. But, what does it matter if Heroes were popular? All Might was popular, the most famous hero in the World, yet, he was still the reason crime has been so low for decades. Until recent events.

However, Midoriya understood that greed could also breed corruption and the world of superheroes, with agencies, with sponsors, and more. There could be heroes out there that do more harm than good. That's why Midoriya was seeing how their system was slowly producing heroes that cared only for numbers and fame. Perhaps Stain was right. Not all heroes deserve to be heroes.

"Yeah, I have, Kaminari," Midoriya replied, avoiding the gaze of some of them.

"It's crazy! It's worse than last time. Even my mother has told me how worried she is… how she is even thinking about how bad of an idea was to become a hero," Sato said, earning a few nods from the rest, whose parents seemed to think same thing.

"It doesn't change what our parents think. It is happening, and there is nothing to do but to move forward… Midoriya, I want to apologize. I've caused you trouble. If it wasn't for me. Maybe we could have done something, anything, to help her," Tokoyami said, hiding his shame.

"No, that's not your fault, Tokoyami," Midoriya said as he sat on the edge of his bed. "We weren't prepared to face them and that Nomu thing. We should have known better."

Midoriya sighed, still recalling every misstep of the fight. The many times he could have done things better. It was infuriating to think like that, yet it couldn't do much.

"How is everyone?" Midoriya asked.

"Jirou and Hagakure still haven't regained consciousness from that villain gas, and Yaoyorozu suffered a serious head injury, so she has also been hospitalized. However, I hear she regained consciousness not too long ago. Maybe she is awake now. But besides them, is only us, just us," Ida said, and the boy with glasses was clearly upset about the state of his classmates, and about the kidnapping of one of them.

"Only us…" Midoriya whispered.

"We are going to do something, right?! We have to do something! Gali...! Gali is in danger!" Ashido said with distress in her voice. She looks so tired, exhausted, and agitated about Galadriel's whereabouts. The poor pink girl did not understand that her need to be with her friend was more than just a feeling. But a pull of sorts. Ashido was getting mad because she wasn't near Galadriel. The only person she cared for the most in the world. A little worm inside her head was slowly making its way into her soul, and when it does arrives there. Ashido would belong to Galadriel, her mind, soul, and body.

The entire class felt the same, but they had nothing to guide them to what was their friend's location. Nothing whatsoever.

"If she was here… she would have told us what to do," Uraraka whispered.

Midoriya gulped nervously. He prides himself on someone who had a vast knowledge of the hero's quirks and abilities while fighting. Midoriya truly thought that when it comes down to a battle. He could do whatever it was to win or at least survive. But now, he sees that nothing he has learned, nothing he has spent so much time studying, was worth it. Midoriya could not save his friend. A sense of frustration grew inside him, and the seed already implemented by Galadriel was slowly flourishing. I need to get stronger! I have to find a way to surpass my limits now...! No matter the cost!

"All Might once told me. That you can't save people where your hands can't reach. So, that's why you have to save anyone who is within your reach. But I… I was within reach at that time. I could have saved her… No! I should have saved her!" Midoriya cursed, and everyone could only see him with conflicted feelings. Yet, a certain blond-haired boy, only scoffed disgusted by him.

"You speak of as if there is nothing to do," Bakugo hissed at him.

"Huh?" Midoriya replied.

"That's right, Midoriya. The last time we faced the villains, Galadriel saved us. Now is time to save her," Kirishima said with a confident voice, making Midoriya stutter.

"And how do you plan to do just that?" Todoroki asked, with a rather impatient tone in his voice.

Bakugo says nothing for a while. He truly wanted to save that stupid albino girl. But just like everyone else in the room. He did not know where to start, or where to go. But Bakugo would not just sit idle, spending his time watching the news, hoping for the best. No, he was stubborn, way too obstinate in things he want to do, and currently, saving the girl of golden eyes was his only goal. So, he would do whatever it has to be done in order to achieve his objective, if necessary, alone.

"I'll find a way… that's all I know," Bakugo said, dismissing Ida's worries.

"Find a way you say? You…! This is exactly what All Might said! This is a matter that should be left to the professionals! We can't just involve ourselves in this!" Ida exclaimed and well, Bakugo did not enjoy being yelled at. Bakugo sneered at him, and the rest knew that Bakugo did not care if he started a fight right now. But it was not the place or time.

"You better watch what you say, four-eyes!" Bakugo hissed.

"This is not the proper way to do things!" Ida replied.

"I don't give a shit!" Bakugo yelled, frustrated.

"Ida, damn it, man! We know that already! Despite that, we can't just sit on our asses and do nothing!" Kirishima replied.

"Hearing that our friend was being targeted and then being unable to protect her and watch as they take her away! It's just so infuriating! She already saved our lives but we can't even save hers!" Kirishima's words strike a chord inside Ida, who clutched his fists, enraged and disheartened as everyone else. He knew Kirishima was saying the truth. But what could they do about it? They were only students and did not know where the villain's base could be.

"If I don't do something about it, right here, now! Then I won't be able to call myself a hero or man!" Kirishima added, letting them know he was far from being pushed aside by what adults could do. Since, just like Bakugo, Kirishima could be quite stubborn.

Kaminari and Asui were trying to calm the red-haired boy down, so no one would come to the room, but he couldn't be cool down.

"Listen Midoriya! Your hands can still reach her!" Kirishima said and Midoriya only stared at him, feeling like maybe and just maybe, he could still help Galadriel.

"Yet, we don't know where she is," Todoroki said, and everyone seemed to come down to reality. Yet, it was not all for naught. Since they weren't the only ones looking for Galadriel, and unbeknown to them, a large plan was in the making. But while they weren't really necessary for what was to come. A certain guardian wanted them to be there when the big show started since it would allow them to see what the future holds. Also, it would be more entertaining that way. So, interrupting everyone in the room, a new actress appeared in the movie.

"So, this is all of you?"

A voice came from the door, and everyone looked behind them and saw a woman, no older than them. But, defiantly young and she was gorgeous. She was a snow-white skinned, black-pony-tailed beauty, no doubt about it. Her clothes were also strange. The girl was wearing a sort of military outfit, one that remained them of a navy girl. But also, it was almost the same, Galadriel use. Yet, while her perfect face was just as beautiful as the rest of her body. Her face had a permanent scowl as if she hated being there, which was true. Yet, she had a duty first, and it was to act as she has never acted in her life before.

"Who… who are you?" Midoriya asked, baffled by the attractive girl's presence.

The girl scoffed at him, well at everyone, looking at them as if they were nothing but annoying brats.

"My name is Narberal Nazarick… and I am looking for my dear sister."

At the villain league hideout, everyone stared at the chair where the girl was being tied up. The poor thing looked tired and highly wounded, but thanks to a certain red-haired villain. She wasn't as bad as before. Yet, it didn't change how much the girl seemed to not want to be there. Or so the criminals thought.

"Are you awake now?" Regina, the murderous girl, said while licking her lips.

"I heal you real good, sorry for the damage of before. But I had to make sure you were out!" Regina said, smiling.

"She is so pretty! Do you have a boyfriend? Or perhaps a girlfriend?" Toga asked, smiling brightly.

"Enough, both of you. She is our guest."

Shigaraki, the supposed leader of the group, only stared at the girl with white hair and held a smirk as the girl only remain silent, and it was exactly what Shigaraki wanted and more. But he would enjoy himself. The face he wanted to see was one of despair, pain, and more. Yet, sadly for him, it would be something almost impossible to get. Since the girl has no reaction to his voice or demeanor.

"It must be strange for you to be around criminals like us."

Shigaraki approached her and manage to see those golden eyes with his own.

"You're the Angel of this world… I must congratulate you. Since for someone so young, to be able to gather such a large following among pro-heroes, you truly made an entrance into the world."

Shigaraki whispered while he grabbed the girl's cheeks. His fingers were touching her, his nails were scrapping her skin, yet she did not show fear at all. Shigaraki, like a child who doesn't get his way, hissed furiously. But smiled behind his mask.

"Don't you see the television? Don't you see how the media is tearing apart the heroes? Showing them for what they truly are? What do you think about it? Mm? What does the Symbol of Hope, Angel, think of it?" Shigaraki asked, with malice in his voice, and Galadriel looked troubled. She whined as she felt a pain in her chest and coughed painfully. Or so it would seem. Shigaraki smirked, feeling victorious to see a reaction from her. She was in pain since he told Regina to not heal her completely.

"Mm? What would you do if heroes are no more?" Shigaraki whispered.

Galadriel looked at him defiantly. "Heroes, just like everyone, can make mistakes."

Galadriel replied softly, yet firmly.

"Mistakes? You say?" Shigaraki replied.

Shigaraki chuckled at those naïve words. He truly did not expect less from the girl. Yet, he knew there was something else hiding underneath those eyes; it was dark and powerful. He knew the girl was hiding something. The battle where she cut a chunk of a mountain just proves it, and while it seems she does not remember it. The rest of the villains testified it was all true. As ridiculous as it may sound, it was real, and they were still pretty shaken. So, Shigaraki, like a kid, wanted to see her insides, and locate whatever it was, the secret the girl was hiding.

"You're hearing what they say, don't you? Those words? Their response about it looks rather… fake, don't you think? Look, I understand that everyone makes mistakes. But, is their job to protect the kids. The surrounding people. That's rather obvious, right? Yet, when you put compensation in the middle. When you bring money into the equation, and fame. Then, heroes are no longer heroes. They are but bounty hunters. They now only follow their selfish pursuits, luxuries, and nothing more. So, I guess that's the only thing I can agree with Stain's teaching."

Shigaraki proclaimed, and some criminals there only nodded. It was a not so far-fetched argument and Galadriel. Well, Pandora's Actor, who was taking his lady's place, had to agree to a certain point. Yet, for him, it sounded more like moaning about how the world is unfair to them, and how society was always built to push down, or how the heroes were hypocrites to seek wealth and recognition, and other nonsense. Truthfully, in his humble opinion. Pandora's Actor couldn't careless about them. The heroes, criminals, and whatnot. He only cared about his lady, Nazarick, and his beloved treasury, in that order. Yet, he couldn't truly understand what was the problem about heroes wanting some cash, or recognition for what they do.

Being a Pro-hero was a business, a good business, at that. So, it makes sense that the heroes, who were the most popular and more active, were rewarded with those things. Does it breed arrogance and greed? Of course, but then again. Everything could breed those two things, no matter the workplace. Perhaps Pandora's Actor was wrong, and truly the pro-heroes scene needed a rework. Maybe everything was fine, and it was just the minority of heroes who brought shame to the rest. Whatever it was, Pandora's Actor only knows one thing, and it was that he just didn't care.

"So, tell me… what would you do in a world without heroes?" Shigaraki asked innocently.

"What do you mean?" Galadriel asked, confused, acting as if she was confused.

"I see it in your eyes… you're hiding something, don't you? The power… it's too much for a normal Quirk. It's different, way different from everything we have seen… so, tell me, what are you hiding?"

Pandora's actor smiled internally. He was thrilled to put forward their plan and create chaos that would serve them to take over slowly over Japan. Besides, he also wanted to make sure to put quite the show. So, Pandora's actor put his best anxious look, and try to look nervous and afraid. He was just an amazing actor.

"I am not hiding anything," Galadriel said anxiously, and Shigaraki glowed with meanness.

"I don't believe you!" Shigaraki sneered as he push his finger into Galadriel's wounds. The girl held down the pain she felt. Well, kind of. Pandora's Actor felt absolutely nothing, yet the illusions of the wounds surrounding the body of his lady were convincing enough for them, and so does his acting.

"You know more! Tell me the truth!"

"Never!"

Galadriel's scream was highly horrifying, and the rest of the criminals could only stare at the scene, not knowing what to feel or do. They were criminals, and some of them weren't new to torture, but to see such a beautiful girl suffering such fate. It wasn't pleasant at all. Of course, funnily enough, Pandora's actor was a level 100 NPCs, and Shigaraki was not. So, he was not feeling a thing. But the screams he was making were convincing enough to not let anyone think otherwise. Lupusregina had a funny face while watching the scene before her. It was as if she was about to burst out laughing. She truly has a twisted sense of humor.

"I want to see your screaming face! Your crying face!" Shigaraki growled as he was using his Quirk to disintegrate the girl's body. But was it? Pandora's actor's strength was his ability to copy the supreme being's powers, their job classes, and racial classes. Although, it was not 100% of their true force. It was still an incredible gap in skill compared to anyone in the current world. So, currently, he was using the Illusionist skill set in order to fool everyone in the room that he was being harmed by Shigaraki. Which he was not. Even, Lupusregina was having a hard time seeing through the illusions.

Yet, Shigaraki truly believed he was harming her. Fool, such a poor fool.

"Such a shame… she is too cute," Toga whispered, as she stared at the scene. "Hey, could I have a bit of her blood?"

"You do have a strange obsession with blood, my dear," Magne said.

"That I do, sister!" Toga replied, smiling.

"Uhu, should we do something about it? I don't think this is nice!" Twice said.

"Just get done with it," Dabi said with an unbothered face.

Pandora's actor decided to add more to the scenario, so he used a bit of his lady's force in order to push Shigaraki away. A good actor always improvises! Pandora's actor thought happily, and using a bit of the Arcane magic of his creator, he pushed almost everyone away. It truly surprised the villains, since they did believe. The girl was too exhausted to use her quirk. But it seems they were wrong.

The shock wave led to some of them groaning.

"That hurts!" Twice whined.

"Uh! She is so powerful!" Toga added, with a strange fascination in her eyes.

"Hey, you… I don't know, but you are wasting your time. She is strange, and I, for one. Do not want to end up like that mountain," Dabi said, with an unusual tone of voice.

Shigaraki's mask was thrown away from his face for a brief moment. The young leader of the criminals stared at it, dizzy and silent. It was such a strange feeling of wonderment and curiosity that filled Shigaraki. Never in his life, he thought things would lead to such a scenario. Where he was facing such a bizarre girl, with a strange power that he was sure it was not a Quirk, or not entirely. Shigaraki slowly pick his mask and they could see a smile covering his face, as he put on his strange hand mask.

"This is so interesting, master… is you as you say… she is not normal," Shigaraki's voice clouded the room in tension, as the television that was in front of Galadriel turn on. There, behind the screen, Pandora's Actor could feel something gazing upon him. Or well, the body of his creator, and smiled secretly. There it was, the real master of puppets.

"Indeed, but I wonder, what are you, miss Nazarick? What type of secrets do you hold?" The voice came from the television.

"You'll never know," Galadriel replied in a dramatic, tired voice.

"Are you sure about it? I have an impressive set of tools at my disposal in order to see what power you have. But I wonder… if your presence has anything to do with the so-called Primordials?"

Everyone in the room got quiet immediately, and they were all worried about it as well. Nothing was known about them, only the strength, yet it was still little. All For One was curious about them in more than just one way. Their secrecy called him in, and like he has done in the past. He would take his time dissecting their true self. That's why, he wondered, why everything was happening now. If the Primordials were here before, why it was until now they show themselves? Well, for him, the answer was simple. Because they were waiting for something or someone, and All For One truly believes, Galadriel Nazarick was that someone.

"I don't know… what are you talking about," Galadriel replied anxiously.

"Ah, but you do… your family has secrets. It's the first time since forever that I cannot find any information about something. There is little to know about the famous Nazarick family. So, that makes me wonder if… they are even an actual family. Maybe there is something more?"

Pandora's actor had to tip his hat in respect. The leader of the Villan League was as smart as they thought. Yet, while he was technically right. It didn't matter.

Everyone saw the body of the girl stiffen at those words, and Shigaraki smirked.

"You're going to tell us everything," Shigaraki hissed, enjoying the face of pure horror from the girl with golden eyes.

Pandora's actor had to admit, he was having a lot of fun, but sadly. His fun would end soon, yet he would have the chance to bring the curtains down spectacularly. They would all see how does Nazarick ends things.
