Garreg Mach Monastery
In the continent of Fodlan lies a large building located in the middle of the continent known as Garreg Mach Monastery, which is the seat of Fodlan's religious power, however the monastery also doubles as the officers academy, where children from the continent attend to receive education, and so this place also have another function as a school.
Standing atop of the monastery balcony is a young man, he has green hair and solemn look as he look down below. "The war is finally over...but at what cost ?" Fodlan was engulfed in a war, which Adrestian Empire instigate to overthrow the Church of Seiros, now the war has ended, however so many lives have been lost in the war.
"I don't have time to mope, it's time for Fodlan to move forward, to the future where crests and birthright doesn't dictate someone's position in life." The young man retreated back inside.
As he walked in the hallway a man with green hair greeted him. "Good afternoon archbishop."
"Byleth is fine Seteth, so you're here to give me an update ?" Asked Byleth.
"Yes, we made many reforms with the church's teachings, with this everyone will receive equal opportunities whether they have crests or not." Informed Seteth.
"I see, that's good then." Replied Byleth with a faint smile.
"This is...Edelgard's wish you're making come true right ?" Asked Seteth. "Despite her actions even I admit she has a point about how the church does things."
"Not just her, both Dimitri and Claude felt the same way, it's just I wish the price of change doesn't have to be so...bloody." Byleth looked down with regret.
"That's...sorry there's nothing I can say about that." Replied Seteth. "Edelgard made her choice, whether the war is started with well intentioned or not consequences will soon follow."
"I know, and don't worry i'm fine, we just have to carry on and look towards the future, that's what they would've wanted." Said Byleth.
"Speaking of which, what about you ? You're still standing so that's good news." Seteth seemed concerned for Byleth.
"Yeah, I somehow have assassins coming after me, but I'm not sure how though, they all managed to get away, makes it impossible to interrogate them, not to mention what's the point in going after me ?" Byleth had no idea why he's being targeted.
"Do you think we should call Catherine back ?" Asked Seteth.
"There's no need for that, Rhea need someone at her side more than I do, I can deal with this myself." Assured Byleth.
"Right, well I'm still going to assign guards to guard your room." Suggested Seteth.
"Okay, i appreciate that." Byleth thanked Seteth.
As Byleth return to his room a voice speak in his head. "To the tomb."
"What ! Who !?" Byleth unsurprisingly shocked by the voices in his head. "Sothis ? No this isn't Sothis's voice."
"The tomb." The voice continued louder and louder, Byleth clutching his head, trying to resist, but the voice never stops until Byleth is fallen under the voice thrall.
"The tomb..." Muttered Byleth as he completely fallen under the thrall and head to the tombs.
Along the way a green haired girl noticed Byleth and greeted him, but he doesn't seem to notice her.
"Tomb." Still muttered Byleth.
"Tomb ? Did I hear that right ? Why is he going there ?" The green haired girl look confused.
Holy Tomb
Underneath the monastery lies the Holy Tomb where obviously skulls and bones are scattered everywhere, but the tomb aren't empty as there are several people is inside.
"Ugh are you sure the emerald is here of all places !" A voice can be heard complaining.
"According to Tails it is, let's just grabbed it and hurry." Turns out the heroes who are at the tomb, the ones here is Pit, Erven, Tiki who offered to come, and Owain also volunteered after not getting to go to Earth.
"The signal in our plates indicate the emerald is here." Pit is looking at his golden plate.
"This must be the tomb under the monastery, I've heard this from Byleth." Said Tiki.
"And I also have the honor of teaching his students while in Askr." Bragged Owain.
"And what did you teach ?" Asked Erven.
"A way to unleash their inner power." Answered Owain.
"And how did you do that exactly ?" Asked Pit. "Teaching them to come up with their special technique and shout it's name ?"
"Oh that's exclactly it ! How did you know ?" Owain impressed at Pit lucky guess.
"Let's just say it's one of my the divine angelic powers.." Pit whispered to Erven soon after. "I don't have that kind of power, he tried to do the same thing to me and Pittoo, and Pittoo didnt like that at all."
"Same here, Owain said as the savior of my world i should shout my technique name as well." Erven whispered back.
"Ahem...anyway it's nice to have familiar face coming with us, that way this Byleth won't be too suspicious of us." Continued Erven.
"The signal is getting stronger, we must be close." The heroes arrived at a large expanse of the tomb, and in the middle lies a throne, and hovering on the throne is the chaos emerald, this one possess a silver color.
"There it is, let's grabbed it and get out of here !" The heroes rushed to the emerald, but then a whip sword strike prevent them from getting close.
"That was close, what was that !" Said Erven as he dodged the attack if barely.
The heroes saw Byleth facing them, with the Sword of Creator in his hand.
"Byleth !" Shouted Tiki and Owain.
"Byleth it's me Tiki and Owain, we're not here to rob the graves, we just want the emerald hovering on the throne, we will leave this place once we have it." Tiki tried to reason with Byleth.
However Byleth won't listen as he swing the sword again, the sword extend and move like a whip, expanding its range to attack the heroes at once.
"Oww...he didn't listen to you." Remarked Pit as he rubbed his head.
"I don't understand, Byleth don't you recognize us ! It's us Tiki and Owain !" Tiki tried to respond once again.
However Byleth doesn't seem to care as he readying for another attack.
"Is he always this quiet ?" Asked Erven.
"And violent ?" Pit chimed in.
"I don't think so, Byleth may not show much emotion, but even he don't act like he's being possessed..." Tiki's words just give the heroes a realization.
"Maybe he is possessed." Commented Erven.
"Well he has that blank stare look." Added Pit.
"You're right, I didn't sense it earlier because I was surprised by he's attacking us, but I can tell there's a power controlling Byleth." Confirmed Tiki.
"We have no choice but to fight back." Owain run towards Byleth to attack him, but Byleth once again swing his sword, only for Tiki to transform into a dragon and shoot a ball of light to Byleth, but Byleth casting Bolganone to stop the attack from reaching him, destroying the light ball.
With Byleth distracted by Tiki, Erven follow up the attack as he swing his sword to attack Byleth, followed by Owain, as Erven and Owain doing a pincer attack on Byleth, however Byleth using Divine Pulse to stop and rewind time.
Time went back to the beginning when Owain charged against Byleth, only for Byleth to cast Aura and blasted the heroes with bright light.
"What just happened ? It's like he knows what we're going to do ?" Erven getting up.
"Strange, but feels like time is being rewinded." Pit seems to be the one realizing this.
"Time ? He has the power to control time ?" Asked Erven.
"Well i don't know, Byleth never told us about this." Replied Owain.
"But Pit you seem to realize this." Said Erven.
"Well heavenly beings doesn't really affected by time per se...but there are some exceptions." Answered Pit.
Byleth then used the Sword of the Creator again, but not to attack the heroes, but to take the emerald floating on the throne, the sword coil around the emerald and Byleth pulled it towards him.
Pit attempts to intervene by using the Violet Palm in his right hand, and Great Reaper Palm in his left hand, Pit fire a barrage of shots from his right hand at the Sword of Creator, he then charged his next shot and unleashed the charged shot, Byleth got blasted from the powerful impact, causing him to be send flying and crashing to a wall, the attack also caused him to drop his sword, releasing the emerald from it's grip, Pit seize the chance as he grab the emerald.
Byleth got up and grabbed his sword again, he then run towards Pit as Pit summon Reappettes from his left hand to attack Byleth.
This act caused Byleth to be distracted as the heroes ready to fight back as well, however the heroes heard footsteps coming closer, it's Seteth and the green haired girl from earlier.
"What's going in here ?" Seteth look confused by the chaos that he sees.
"Seteth ! Flayn !" Exclaimed Tiki.
"Tiki ? How are you here ?" Flayn surprised to see Tiki in Fodlan.
"Never mind that now, Byleth is under some kind of control !" Replied Tiki.
"Control ?" Asked Seteth.
"Yeah, someone brainwashed him ! Whoever doing this is after the chaos emerald !" Added Owain.
"Wait slow down ! I'm not getting any of this." Seteth replied.
"That gem ! Whoever controlling Byleth wanted to get that gem !" Tiki pointed at the emerald in Pit's hand.
"Why would ?...never mind if he is under control we need to stop him !" Seteth and Flayn then confronted Byleth.
"Byleth stop this !" Pleaded Flayn.
As Byleth already defeated all the Reapettes he ignored Seteth and Flayn and go after Pit again.
"No good no good, I wish I can fly my way out of here !" Unknown to Pit he didn't realize he accidentally made a wish while holding the chaos emerald, the emerald respond to his wish and his wings suddenly flapping and started to fly.
"Whoa ! Whoa ! I'm flying ! I'm actually flying !" Pit tried to calm himself down as he begin to control his movement. "I know this isn't the Power of Flight."
Byleth begin to use his sword again to attack Pit as he extend the sword and swing it to reach Pit, but the angel kept on flying to avoid the attack.
Tiki, Seteth, and Flayn tried to stop Byleth, but he used Divine Pulse on them, completely stopping them in their tracks. He then refocus his attention on Pit.
"Erven, Now's our chance while he's distracted." Said Owain.
"Hold on, we can't attack recklessly, or else he'll froze us like Tiki." Erven pointed at Tiki, Seteth, and Flayn.
"So what should we do ?" Asked Owain.
"I'm thinking..." Erven looked at his sword. "I may have an idea, Owain, I once use this exact same sword to defeat Calasmos, he's protected by a dark aura, and this sword have the power to dispel that aura. I don't know if it's going to work on Byleth, but if he's under some kind of dark power it may still work."
"Youre not sure ? You do realize this is a gamble right ?" Asked Owain.
"I know, but I'm gonna do it anyway." Erven lift the Sword of Light and it emanate a bright light.
Byleth noticed the light coming from the sword, but as he tried to stop it, Pit intervene by summoning more Reappettes to interfere with Byleth, with Owain seizing the chance to swing his sword and knocked the Sword of Creator from Byleth's hand.
Exposed by the light Byleth screamed as the light begin to engulf him.
Once the light faded, Byleth return to his senses, and also the Divine Pulse effect on Tiki, Seteth, and Flayn have worn off.
"We can move again." Remarked Flayn.
"What happened ?" Byleth can't recall what happened as he got up.
"Byleth you alright ? Someone is controlling you." Tiki approached Byleth.
"I'm fine but...Tiki ? How are you in Fodlan ?" Asked Byleth.
"It's a long story." Replied Tiki.
"I'm here too Prof." Said Owain.
"Owain ? You're here too ? And who are the rest of you ?" Asked Byleth.
"My name is Erven, and this is Pit, we...came from faraway place." Erven excising some info.
"I see, and Seteth, Flayn, what are you doing here ?" Asked Byleth.
"Byleth I heard you muttering about the tomb, so I told my father and we followed you here." Answered Flayn.
"Right, I remember I hear voices in my head telling me to come here, but why is that voice want me here ?" Byleth is confused.
"I'm sure that voice told you to get this." Pit showed Byleth the Chaos Emerald.
"A gem ?" Byleth still confused. "I was brainwashed to get this ? And where is this gem coming from ? I swear I've never seen this before." Byleth is unfamiliar with the Chaos Emerald.
"You said this gem is called the chaos emerald right ?" Asked Seteth.
"Yeah, this isn't an ordinary gem, this thing possess great power." Explained Pit.
As Pit begin talking a ball of dark energy move towards Pit, about to strike him from behind.
"Pit ! Watch out !" Tiki transform into a dragon and intercept it with her light breath.
But another one coming again from the throne and the attack hit Pit as he got struck down, the impact caused him to toss the emerald.
The emerald got thrown quite far from the heroes, and then a figure appears by teleporting by using dark energy, the figure grabbed the emerald. "This is the thing that grants great power and now its in my grasp."
"You ! Solon !" Shouted Seteth.
"It's been some time isn't it you surface dwellers." Said Solon.
"How did you survive, I know we eliminate you and your faction !?" Said Byleth.
"That was your mistake, you assumed we were defeated and so now you're getting complacent." Replied Solon.
"Those assassins after me, was that your doing ?" Asked Byleth.
"I wonder...maybe they are, maybe they're not." Solon Answered cryptically. "Although I can answer this, since we're here your former archbishop is no longer safe."
"What ! Lady Rhea ! What have you done to her !" Seteth run towards Solon only for him to get hit by something. The attack critically harms him as he writhing in pain on the floor.
"Father ! Flayn run towards Seteth.
"Seteth what happened !" Byleth tend to Seteth.
"I don't know, but something hit me." Said Seteth weakly.
Sonon snapped his finger and turns out a Grimmsnarl appear and is standing behind Solon, Solon used his magic to make Grimmsnarl invisible earlier, he undo the spell out of amusement.
"What is..." Byleth clearly had no idea what Grimmsnarl is.
"Lady Palutena ! What is that ?" Pit tried to speak with Palutena.
("Pit, that is a Grimmsnarl, a fairy type Pokémon from Galar.") Palutena spoke in Pit's head telepathically.
"Fairy type ? I was told by Red they're the bane of dragon type Pokémon !" Stated Pit as everyone looks at him.
"So that's a pokemon !" Exclaimed Owain.
"So you knew, then I suppose there's no need for explanation, well then I completed my objective it's time for me to leave, but first." Solon used his magic to summon assassins as he teleported himself and Grimmsnarl away from the tomb.
"Get back here !" Byleth chase after Solon, but he's intercepted by the assassins.
"These are the same assassins that's been attacking me ! The hooded robes are the same ones they wear !" Exclaimed Byleth as he swing his sword to attack the assassins.
"I'll go help Byleth, some of you stay here to look after Seteth !" Owain charged in to back Byleth, he turned around and do a rotating slash on the assassins, as the assassins flinched Owain removed the hood, revealing it to be a Risen. "A Risen !"
"You know these things !" Byleth asked as he slain one Risen.
"Yeah ! These are Grima's minions ! Under his orders they plagued my world !" Explained Owain.
"Then we have to destroy them ! We can't let them plagued Fodlan as well !" Byleth destroy another Risen.
Several Risen managed to bypass Owain and Byleth as they run towards the other heroes.
"Tiki ! They're heading your way !" Shouted Owain.
Fortunately the heroes anticipate this, as Pit lift his blade weapon upward, Erven and Tiki also about to use their magic, the three combined their attack as Pit summon lightning from above, Erven used Kazap, and Tiki rain down light projectiles from above, doing wide range attack and destroy all the Risens.
"And that takes care of that !" Pit comment on a job well done.
"Hang in there father !" Flayn using her powers to heal him.
"Let me help with that." Erven knelt before Seteth and cast Fullheal.
"Thank you you two, I'm fine, but that attack..." Seteth recall the attack from Grimmsnarl.
"You're fine Seteth, just take it easy...it's just how did Solon get his hand on that thing ? And how is he still alive ? Did I really miss something ?" Byleth walked towards Seteth to assure him, however he's getting worried if he unknowingly left Sonon alive.
"Byleth, things are complicated right now, Solon is maybe a part of Neo Subspace Army, there's a strong chance he really is dead, and now a malevolent deity using necromancy to make him do his bidding." Tiki clarifying things to Byleth.
"Wait what ?" Byleth understandably confused.
"Let's find a place to talk first." Suggested Tiki.
"We can talk in my room." Byleth and the others left the tomb and head to the Archbishop room.
Archbishop Room
Byleth took everyone to the archbishop room, this place is reserved for the monastery archbishop, the previous archbishop Rhea use to reside here, but after the war she stepped down from the position and give it to Byleth.
"Nice room Byleth." Commented Tiki.
"Thank you, i know it's late, but i do believe an introduction is in order, my name is Byleth, i am the current archbishop of this monastery, these are my subordinate, Seteth and Flayn." Byleth introduce himself as well as Seteth and Flayn.
"And now is our turn, Byleth, this is Pit and Erven, and they already know about Askr because we told them, and several of our friends called to Askr like Ike and Roy also with us, we thought that if there's a familiar face coming here that would alleviate suspicion." Explained Tiki.
"I see your point, rebuilding of Fodlan is very difficult as we just recently getting through a war, unfortunately some unsavory individuals exploting this hard times, i dont think i can trust strangers who somehow able to enter the monastery tomb." Replied Byleth.
"Anyway now that introduction finally out of the way, let's get down to business, Tiki, Owain what is really going on ?" Byleth take a seat on a chair in his room.
"It's...a very long story, not sure there's time to explain everything." Said Tiki.
"Is there a short version of the story ?" Asked Byleth.
"Well let's see, Byleth you said a voice is speaking in your head, it's likely that is Solon's voice telling you to go to the tomb and get the emerald." Tiki is speculating.
"Right, the Chaos Emerald, you all said it's an object of great power, and yet I've never heard such a thing." Said Seteth.
"That's because Chaos Emerald are objects from another world, according to our friends this is the first time Chaos Emeralds spread across the universe." Explained Pit.
"Sorry to interrupt, I wanted to ask this earlier, but Pit you have wings ?" Flayn noticed the wings on Pit's back.
"Oh this, well there's no point in hiding things, but yes it is, a real wings, I am an angel from Skyland !" Answered Pit.
"No way, an angel !?" Flayn gasped at Pit's answer.
"So Pit came from another world, and you Erven, where are you from again ?" Asked Seteth. "You said you came from faraway place ?"
"Well I wasn't completely honest about that, I came from faraway place yeah, but what I really meant is i came from another world, and also thousands of years have passed in my original world." Explained Erven. "I came from a world called Erdrea."
"T-thousands of years !? But that's..." Seteth, Byleth, and Flayn clearly surprised.
"I got resurrected from the dead, because it seems my strength is needed to combat this new evil." Explained Erven.
"The four of us came here to look for the emerald, unfortunately we failed and Solon gets his hands on it." Tiki lamented the mission's failure.
"The Emerald ? i know you said its an object of great power, but how powerful is it ?" Asked Byleth.
"Well, for starters holding one of the emerald is like holding reality in the palm of your hands !" Owain gave a dramatic answer.
"Dramatic as usual Owain." Teased Byleth.
"As dramatic as that sounds, this time is justified, the emerald possess powers beyond our imagination, I can't imagine what Solon intend to use it for." Said Owain.
"Whatever it is it can't be good, Solon must've return to the Agarthan base, we should try to go there, Seteth, are you okay ? I'd like you to join me if possible." Asked Byleth.
"Sadly, not fully, I have taken hits before, but this one seems much more painful than the others, i need more time to rest." Seteth still suffering from the pain.
"To think a Pokémon move had an effect even on dragons from another world." Remarked Tiki.
"Pokemon, you mentioned that before, what are Pokemons ?" Asked Byleth.
"Monsters from another world, each pokemon has various strength and weaknesses, what we saw earlier is a fairy type Pokémon, according to our friend fairy type are strong against dragons, it seems their attacks also dangerous to non pokemon dragons." Answered Pit.
"Does that means Seteh and Flayn are dragons ?" Asked Erven.
"I dont know if Owain or Tiki told you, but we are, though we lost our abilities to transform, currently the only one still able to shift between human and dragon forms is Lady Rhea...Lady Rhea !"
"I just realize something ! Solon brought a fairy type Pokémon with him what if the other member of Slither in the Dark do the same !? Fairy type pokemons are practically dragon slayers...at least that what Red told us." Pit came to a realization.
"If that's true then...Lady Rhea used most of her power during the war, she would be too weak to fight back !" Exclaimed Seteth.
Just then the room door opened as a blonde haired woman with tanned skin entered the room, she looks beaten up as she limped forward.
"Catherine !" Byleth and Seteth catch Catherine and put her on the bed.
"Hang in there Catherine !" Flayn used her magic to heal Catherine.
"Catherine what happened to you ?" Asked Seteth.
"Seteth, Byleth, I'm so sorry...I was unable to protect Lady Rhea." Catherine apologized as she felt immense guilt for her defeat.
"What happened ? Who did this to you ?" Asked Byleth.
"This is what happened." Catherine begin to tell her story.
Flashback...
Zanado
With the war over Rhea decided to step down from the archbishop position and return to Zanado, the place where the Children of the Goddess used to live.
Rhea live inside the ruins and using it as her new home. Alongside her Catherine who was once a Knight if Seiros offered to stay with her after the war.
"Lady Rhea I'm back." Catherine announced her arrival.
"Welcome back." Greeted Rhea. "But Catherine, there's no need for formality anymore, I'm no longer your superior."
"Sorry, force of habit, so how are you feeling ?" Asked Catherine.
"My strength is gradually returning, and I have to thank you for that." Rhea thanked Catherine.
"So what will you do after your strength fully returned ? Will you go back to the monastery ?" Asked Catherine.
"No, I made up my mind, I'm going to entrust Fodlan to Byleth, I'm willing to admit that my actions is what causing all this mess in the first place." Admitted Rhea. "And so i believe Byleth is able to lead the continent to a better future."
"He always look so perfect, maybe the position does suit him." Thought Catherine.
"What about you Catherine ? I'm no longer your superior, there's no need for you to stay with me." Said Rhea.
"We've been over this, I'm looking out for you because I wanted to, not because it's my duty and you're still weak Lady Rhea, someone need to be there for you until you're back to full health." Replied Catherine.
"You're right, and thank you I do hope I recovered soon." Said Rhea.
As Rhea and Catherine still talking a giggling sound can be heard.
"Catherine do you hear something ? Sounded like someone's laughing." Asked Rhea.
"Actually I hear it too." Where that come from ?" Catherine looked around.
Suddenly a ball of light is headed towards Catherine. "Catherine !" Rhea jumped in and tackling Catherine to the ground as the ball of light destroy the wall behind.
"What was that !?" Exclaimed Rhea.
"Don't know, but it's coming from outside ! I'm going to check it out, stay here Lady Rhea !" Catherine got up and left the ruin to confront their attacker.
Catherine stop running as she saw someone standing outside the ruin, standing before her is a girl with orange hair and bluish skin who also dressed in black.
"What ! You ! Kronya !" Catherine can't believe the the girl standing in front of her. "You're supposed to be dead !"
"And yet here I am, but enough about me, so this is what happen to Rhea and her knight ? Look at how far you've fallen." Kronya mocking Catherine and Rhea.
However Kronya isn't alone as a Hattrene is standing next to her.
"And what is that ? Another one the Agarthan's creations ?" Catherine pointed her sword at Hattrene.
"Oh this ? Rather than tell you why don't I just show you, Hattrene Disarming Voice." By Kronya's command Hattrene let out a cry that struck Catherine in an emotional way.
"Aargh ! What is this pain !?" Catherine fell down on her knee as she clutching her chest.
Kronya walked closer to Catherine and pull out her dagger, she walked slowly and placed in on the left side of Catherine's neck, and then with a sadistic smile she swings her dagger.
As Catherine ready to accept her fate a shield struck Kronya's hand, forcing her to drop her dagger. "Ouch !" Kronya grabbing her arm.
Rhea came out from the ruin and the one who throw the shield at Kronya. "I was surprised when I hear Catherine shout your name, but I guess you did come back after all, I take it the rest also back ?" Asked Rhea.
"If you're curious, then you can always come with me willingly." Kronya smiled arrogantly and taunting Rhea.
As Rhea ready to confront Kronya, Catherine stops her. "Wait Lady Rhea, leave her to me, there's no need for you to dirty your hands against her."
"Catherine, you look like you can barely stand !" Rhea showed her concern.
"I'm...fine !" Catherine got up albeit with difficulty, as Catherine regain her footing she charged at Kronya. However Hattrene teleported in front of Kronya as it used its psychic power to lift Catherine telekinetically and threw her around like a ragdoll, sending her flying to hit the nearby rocks and walls.
"Ahahahaha ! Hearing you worms squeal and scream brings joy to me !" Kronya laughing at Catherine's beatdown from Hattrene.
"Kronya ! Stop this at once ! Or I'll..." Rhea threatened Kronya.
"Or what ? You'll transform ? Is this the part where I'm supposed to be intimidated by you beasts." Kronya continue to taunt Rhea.
("This technique is getting more and more dangerous on me, but if it's just her i can finish this in no time.") Having enough of Kronya's cruelty Rhea transform to her dragon form.
Rhea waste no time as she raised her right front limb to squash Kronya, however Hattrene, now done attacking Catherine set it sights on Rhea and intervene as it unleashed Dazzling Gleam, the bright light emitted severely harmed Rhea as she walked backwards.
Still refusing to give up, Rhea soar above the sky and begin to dive bomb Kronya, but Hattrene intervene once again as it use another Dazzling Gleam.
The bright light blinded Rhea as she forced to closed her eyes, unable to see where she's going, she missed Kronya and fall and crash somewhere else. Rhea returns to her human form as she lay down on the ground.
"Lady Rhea !" Catherine run towards Rhea, only for Kronya to intercept her and slashed her knee.
"Your master is not the threat she was once anymore, but you Knights of Seiros can still be a pain to deal with, but that's okay, because when I'm done with you, you will serve us Those who Slither in the Dark." Kronya slashed Catherine's face, and repeatedly slashed her wherever she likes it, Kronya order Hattrene to join her as Catherine gets beaten up by Kronya and Hattrene.
"Well this is fun, but sadly everything must come to an end, farewell you filthy worm." Kronya about to deliver the last blow, but Catherine engulfed in light and disappear.
Flashback ended...
"And that's what happened, I don't know what happen to Lady Rhea after that." Said Catherine. "As how i got here, Lady Rhea must've used her remaining power to send me here."
"I can't believe this, so Kronya is back as well huh ?" Said Byleth.
"Too ?" Catherine look befuddled.
"We just encounter Solon in the tomb, i can't believe he's still alive." Said Byleth.
"But from the way you talk Kronya wasn't alone right ? She had something with her ?" Asked Flayn.
"Like I said before, I had no idea what kind of creature was it with her, it doesn't look like artificial, but whatever that thing is it can take down Lady Rhea with no problem." Remarked Catherine.
"About Solon and Kronya, I don't think those two are coming back to life." Tiki slightly raised her hand.
"What do you mean ?" Asked Seteth.
"You see..." Tiki begin explaining about the Warriors of Fallen Stars.
"So, the true enemy bound our enemies soul with necromancy, and now they carrying out the true enemy will ? Yes i did hear you say that back at the tomb." Said Seteth.
"Well yes, they are bound by necromancy, but they are also given enough freedom to pursue their own agenda, for Solon's faction, not sure what they're planning to do." Said Tiki.
"Where do you think we should look for them ?" Asked Byleth.
"My guess is their base Shambhala, but would that be too obvious ?" Seteth having doubts.
"We should give it a try looking there." Suggested Pit. "Although maybe Seteth and Flayn should stay here."
"As much as i'd like to object to that i'm not in the right condition to fight, but if you need healer Flayn can come to provide support." Suggested Seteth.
"Not if they have fairy type pokemons with them, you being dragons is already your weakness against them." Argued Pit.
"I can't believe this our very own being is already a crippling weakness." Seteth angrily looked down.
"And since we now know their power also affect dragons from another world as well, what about you Tiki ? I think it's best for you to stay here as well, Solon and Kronya have fairy type pokemons on their side, now we're heading to their base, who knows how many more they employ." Said Erven.
"I'm coming with you at least, I know the way to Shambhala." Offered Byleth.
"Okay, but Byleth, if you have dragon related things within you, be cateful, let us handle this, at the very least let us handle the fairy type Pokemons." Suggested Owain.
"Alright, I would rather to solve my own problem, but considering the enemy employ otherworldly means, I'm going to entrust them to you while i deal with those Argathans." Said Byleth.
"Let's just teleport there, Byleth you said you know the way right ?" Pit pull out his golden plate. "Here, just imagine the place and tap this plate."
"Okay ? Byleth did what Pit instructed and the four of them teleported away."
"Since I'm here, is there anything I can do while waiting ?" Tiki offering to help.
Shambhala
The heroes arrived at the entrance of Shambhala, the base of operation for Those who Slither in the Dark.
"This is where they reside, well im ready to eliminate them again." Byleth readied his sword.
"Okay this is the enemy territory, make sure we're prepared...I wonder if.." Pit grabbed his golden plate seemingly needed to use it for something, however a wave of darkness coming out from Shambhala and disabling Pit's golden plate.
"What the ? I can't use my golden plate !?" Pit tapping his plate only for nothing happened.
"I can't use mine too !" Owain and Erven also can't use theirs as well.
"The enemy must know we're here !" Exclaimed Owain.
"They must've know we were coming we need to fall back and figure out a plan to fight back !" Byleth rallied the heroes to the forest.
The heroes decided to leave, however they hear the sound of something being hit, and the trees are fallen one by one. As the fallen trees grows closer and closer, a young man with blonde hair approached the heroes, he dressed in blue clothing, Byleth is shocked to see this young man. "Dimitri ?"
"Professor...it's...good to see you again." Dimitri said with a solemn face.
"You look like when you were 17 years old again." Remarked Byleth.
"Byleth what happened !? Is Dimitri ?" Owain curious by Byleth choice of words.
"Yeah, he's supposed to be dead, but..."
"That would mean he's a warrior of Fallen Stars, we can't reason with them, they can only obey their master !" Exclaimed Pit.
As the heroes tries to run another way they got intercepted by a demonic beasts, and riding them is a young woman with white hair.
"Edelgard ? You're here too ?" Asked Byleth.
Edelgard didn't answer as she looked away from Byleth, feeling guilty for everything she's done.
"We're surrounded." Said Erven.
"Looks like they really want us inside no matter what." Remarked Owain.
"We have to get through them !" Byleth with a heavy heart ready to fight off his former students, but then dark tendrils coming out from the ground and restrain the heroes.
Palutena's Temple
Seeing what happened below Palutena is thinking of directly helping the heroes, however Hades started to contact her telepathically.
"Stop where you are pretty Palutena, if you give your faction Divine intervention, I can do the same to my faction."
"If only you're never a part of this ! It would've made things easier for my side." Complained Palutena.
"I'm not the only deity on their side, if I'm making myself clear." Hades taunting Palutena.
"Whatever Hades, Pit has gone through worse than just being magically restrained, he'll get through this as well." Palutena believing in her champion.
"Well if the emerald doesn't fall to their hands it's my win either way." Hades ended his communication.
Shambhala
A man with black hair and scary looking face come out from the entrance. "Lady Edelgard, I have them restrained."
"Right...take them in Hubert." Said Edelgard as she, Dimitri, and Hubert carry the heroes and have them carried by the demonic beasts inside.
As they reach further inside, the heroes finally being put down on the ground, and now a man with black armor and pale skin greeted the captured heroes
"Welcome to Shambhala, I am Thales, but you already know that professor, although our guests from another world may be unfamiliar with me." Thales introduced himself.
"Thales what have you done to my students !?" Exclaimed Byleth.
"Oh them, they work for me now, ironic isn't it, you and them point your blade toward me once and now they serve under me." Gloated Thales.
"Byleth, don't lose hope, one of our goal is to save our love ones, to do that, we must bring them back to life." Whispered Owain.
Byleth is shocked by Owains words, but he still managed to keep calm as he nodded.
Thales walked closer to Byleth. "Your body housed a soul of another do you ?"
Byleth is surprised to hear this, but he pretend not only know anything. "What are you talking about ?"
"Playing dumb I see, and I take it you never told your students as well." Thales looked at Byleth former students.
Edelgard, Hubert, and Dimitri can only stand in silence. Until Dimitri begin to speak. "Tell us what ?"
"Professor here possessing two souls in his body, and not just any soul, but the soul of the progenitor Goddess herself Sothis." Answered Thales which shocks everyone. "Now I see how you're able to stand a chance against us."
"H-how did you know that ?" Byleth demanded to know.
"Thales has backup from another world, a powerful gods like the Underworld Army who know a lot of things can tell them for example." Explained Pit.
"So you know, well at any rate Professor here have been a thorn on my side for so long, and so I'm putting an end to this." Thales pull out the chaos emerald he hid under his armor and begin harnessing its power.
"Ah yes ! I can feel the power coursing through me, now no one able to stop me !" Thales acting like he's getting high on power.
"He's using the emerald to empower himself !" Erven tried to concentrate as he use his Luminary powers to dispel the dark magic placed on him and his companions.
The tendrils restraining the heroes are now gone, allowing them to move again.
"Stop them !" Ordered Thales.
Dimitri, Edelgard, and Hubert have no choice but to oney as they all attacked the heroes.
Ervan cast Kazap as he conjure several violent lightning to attack the students. "Sorry, I know they're your students, but we can't fall here."
"Everyone listen ! Dimitri and Edelgard are physical fighter, while Hubert is more of magic user, Owain you deal with Dimitri, what about you two ?" Asked Byleth.
"Let me deal with Hubert, I know magic and swordplay." Replied Erven.
"Then Edelgard is mine." Said Pit.
"Okay then, Thales is mine to take down." Said Byleth.
"Wait, he's empowered by chaos emerald, it would be hard to take him down yourself." Warned Pit
"Not to mention Solon and Kronya could be somewhere around here." Added Owain.
"All the more reason to defeat Thales right now before he can call them for help." Answered Byleth. "And also like he said I have Sothis's power I won't be easily beaten."
"Fine do it, we deal with your students while you deal with Thales." Agreed Pit.
Byleth break way from the heroes as he flew and go after Thales.
Edelgard grabbed her axe Aymr and swing it at Pit as he dodged backward. "Wings ? What are you really ?"
"An angel of Skyworld, I serve the Goddess Palutena !" Declared Pit.
"Servant of the gods huh ? Fodlan used to obey the Church of Seiros and look where it leads to !" Edelgard swings her axe again as Pit blocked the attack with a club.
"I may not know what happen here, but Lady Palutena is a Goddess worth putting your faith into !" Replied Pit.
"We'll see." Edelgard conjure a fiery tornado from her axe as it chased after Pit, she also command her demonic beasts to attack Pit.
"I have no time to waste on you." Hubert shooting balls of dark energy at Erven, which he's able to cut down with his sword.
Erven rushed in and about to strike Hubert as he create a magic barrier to shield himself.
Dimitri is facing off against Owain. Dimitri using his spear Areadbhar while Owain using a Levin Sword. "Take this ! Raging Thunder !" Owain lift his sword up as lightning strikes formed around Owain which forces Dimitri to keep his distance.
"Dimitri, I swear I will save you, and Edelgard and Hubert as well, and everyone else who died." Said Owain.
"Am I really worth saving ?" Questioned Dimitri.
"Huh ? What are you...?" Dimitri thrust his lance as Owain managed to dodge in the nick of time.
Byleth extend his sword as Thales create a barrier to deflect it. Byleth again retract the sword to its original form and struck the barrier, he concentrate his attack as he managed to destroy Thales barrier, striking him down.
Although despite being hurt, with. Him empowered by the emerald Thales can get up quickly again as his injuries heal.
Edelgard clashing with Pit as they both got into a blade lock. During this moment a demonic beast about to attack Pit, forcing him to jumped backwards, freeing himself from Edelgard and run from the demonic beast.
Owain and Dimitri keep on fighting as the two got to a blade lock, Dimitri got pushed back slightly, as Owain possessing Mark of Naga also have super strength that Lucina and Chrom have.
Hubert keep flinging ball of darkness as he hovers around the place, Erven once again casting Kazap, striking both Edelgard, Hubert, Dimitri, and the demonic beast. Giving Owain an opening to break the stalemate, and Pit a chance for a counterattack.
Edelgard, Dimitri, and Hubert combined their attack as Edelgard summon another fire tornado, Hubert firing darkness magic, and Dimitri using his Frozen Lance technique into his spear, he stab the ground as it create a trail of ice toward the heroes.
Erven cast Kaclang as the heroes stand behind him, Erven's body turned into invulnerable metal and the combined attacks have no effect on him.
Pit then about to use his special attack, he raised his blades to the sky and summon lightning to do a wide range attack, followed by Owain who did the same with a Levin Sword, causing the three and the demonic beast to fall.
"We need to permanently incapacitate them." Pit said to Owain.
"But how ? As zombies they can't really get tired...can't they ?" Asked Owain. "I don't think Risen's ever get tired."
"Attacking them continuously won't do any good either, they just get back up huh ? Think Pit, is there any other way ?" As Pit is thinking for a way, he did remember something. "Owain, I remember something ! I do have something that can help us...ta da !" What in Pit's hand looks like tetris block with pictures, which Owain look with skepticism. "Aren't these just blocks ?"
"No, they're not just blocks, they're power icons, Lady Palutena blessed these things with her power to help me against the Underworld Army, you take this one, this one is called Petrify Attack."
Owain took the block and has a picture of a paper and a ghost fell on the ground. "Okay how do I use it ?"
"Placed it on your weapon your weapon will absorb it, like this." Pit put his power icon into his blade weapon and it absorb the block.
Owain did the same and Levin Sword also absorb the block.
"Our attacks should be able to petrify those three." Said Pit as he and Owain ready to make their move.
Pit rushed towards Edelgard as she slammed Aymr to the ground, causing Pit to lose balance and fall, Edelgatd jumped and about to use Aymr to slam the ground again, however Pit was able to dodge the attack, he combined his blade together to form a bow and shoot arrows made of light at Edelgard, after being hit Edelgard found herself unable to move as her body slowly turning to stone.
Pit about to do the same for the demonic beast, however these creatures have hard body, making hard to pierce through, but that doesn't stop Pit as he uses his club weapon, the Ogre Club to be precise, Pit also used orbitar weapon, the Fairy Orbitar.
Pit firing shots with the Fairy Orbitar, and about this weapon the shots launched by the Fairy Orbitar have another effect of inflicting confusion on the target, the demonic beast is getting dizzy and its movement are getting frantic, Pit use the chance to smash the beasts armor, the beast doesn't know what to do as Pit kept on bashing it over and over again, the dizziness causing the beast to fall, once many of the armors are chipped off Pit slashed the demonic beast and it's body slowly turned to stone.
Owain facing off against Hubert and Dimitri all at once as he have to fend off against magic and physical attacks.
Dimitri channel electricity in his spear as he jumped and impaled the spear to the ground, creating a large field of electricity, which electrocute Owain, Hubert teleport near him and conjuring black tendrils to restrain Owain.
("Not good i'm trapped again...should i do this ?") Owain recall that during his stay on the mansion he sometimes going to the empty part of the mansion where there's no one.
"Hmm...this mansion is huge and I think I'm getting lost ! No wait calm down Owain think of this is as an opportunity, I receive my memories, powers, and everything parallel me learn, and since I remember my time as Odin then..." Owain started to test things out on a whim, however he did retain the magic power he has with his Odin identity.
As Dimitri about to deal with the finishing blow, Owain about to use his magic, however both Hubert and Dimitri got struck by lightning, Erven Kaclang spell has worn off as he's able to move again, Owain seize the chance to strike Dimitri and Hubert, petrifying them and turning them to stone.
"Sorry I'm late, the spell need some time to worn off." Erven apologized.
"Good timing too, I thought I was a goner back then." Owain is grateful to Erven.
"Is it just me or are they turning to stone ?" Asked Erven.
"Yeah, they really do, Pit enchanted my sword and petrify them, I should come up with a name for this move...Paralyzer, Incapacitator, Petrifyer...I'll figure it out later."
Unfortunately for Owain Pit extracting the power icon from Owain's weapon. "Sorry about that, this things are only for emergency."
"Aw man, and I was about to come up with a cool name for it !" Complained Owain.
"We're done with them, we need to help Byleth now." The heroes then head to assist Byleth as he faced off against Thales.
Thales and Byleth are currently fighting as they both clashing with each other. Byleth swing his sword as Thales teleported away.
He reappeared behind Byleth and blast him with dark magic. He continues the attack by firing a beam of dark magic while Byleth fly away to dodge it, Byleth then casting Aura at Thales.
The light magic struck him as he fell down, Byleth fly closer and point his sword at Thales. "Release my students from your control."
Thales however shrugged and laugh. "Hahahahah...or what ? And besides killing me won't save them, a being of higher power is the one responsible for this, you want to save your students ? Then it's not me who you should eliminate."
Thales conjured his sword and swing it against Byleth, but Byleth blocked it with his sword. A magic circle formed under Byleth's feet and a pillar of black flames erupt from the magic circle, Byleth screamed in pain as the fire burn his body.
"You possess the power of a Goddess, and I'm also empowered by an otherworldly object with great power, i wont be easy to defeat as before." Boast Thales. "Now to end this." Thales conjure a chains made of magical energy and restrain Byleth's arms and legs.
"Not so fast !" Shouted Pit as he Erven, and Owain is done fighting Byleth's former students, they aim to fight Thales.
However Thales used his magic to raise the floor in order to make a wall with it.
"Hey !" The heroes banging on the wall as it stops them from reaching Byleth.
"Not good, we have to destroy this wall." Said Erven.
"Pit, if you have more of those power icons now would be the right time." Said Owain.
"I'm looking..." Pit pulling out the power icons he have right now. "Darn it, I don't have Mega Laser or Black Hole with me now, Owain you have Naga brand right ? Can't you destroy the wall with your fists ?"
"I don't know if superhuman strength is enough to tear down this wall, but I'll try." Owain punched the wall, and even though it makes a dent the wall still standing. "This wall is thicker than I thought."
"I'm helping too." Erven casting Kafrizzle, a large fire ball formed above the heroes and blast the wall.
While the heroes working to break the wall, Byleth is under Thales captive.
"What are you going to do to me ? You want revenge ?" Byleth speak defiantly.
"Something like that, but it's not just to you." Thales draw more power from the chaos emerald as he insert his hand inside Byleth's body like a ghost being intangible, his hand reaching for Byleth's soul. "I will draw the Goddess out of you and finally end her, as punishment that her descendants did for wiping out the Agarthans."
As Thales further entered his hands Byleth screamed in pain, but he's able to stay defiant. "Y-youre efforts are for nothing ! Sothis has binded her soul with me ! She and i are inseparable !"
"I'm empowered by object that can defy reality, I know I'm able to extract her from you !" Thales finally reached Byleth soul, and it does feel like there's two souls inside, Thales put his other hand inside Byleth's body.
Byleth screamed as Thales in the middle of separating Sothis from Byleth.
The other three still trying to destroy the wall, even though they made progress, it doesn't seem the wall will be crumbling any time soon.
"This is getting tiring, what are these walls made of !?" Complained Erven.
"H-hey I just realize something !" Shouted Owain. "They can't move right ?" Owain pointed at Edelgard, Hubert, and Dimitri. "This should be the right opportunity to resurrect them ! With their help we can destroy this wall in no time !"
"That's a great idea Owain, we're too distracted with saving Byleth we didn't think of rescuing his students." Erven run towards the petrified students and about to use Kazing on them, unfortunately Erven got slashed in the back by Kronya.
Erven's scream was heard by Pit and Owain as they turned around.
"Close one, can't let you do that, Hattrene take them away, and bring our special guest when you get back." Kronya pull out a pokeball and sent out Hattrene and order the pokemon to teleport the petrified students.
Kronya about to deliver the killing blow to Erven, however a light arrow struck Kronya's arm as she dropped her dagger in pain.
Kronya saw Pit and Owain are going after her, but despite that she is smirking. "Well 3 against 1 huh ? When Hattrene is back i'll even the odds."
And just like that, Hattrene is back, and this time it brings Rhea as well.
"That's Rhea !" Exclaimed Owain.
"So this is the previous archbishop before Byleth took over ?" Asked Erven.
"Yeah, she got summoned to Askr as well." Said Owain.
"Miss Rhea ! We're here to rescue you !" Shouted Pit.
Rhea however doesn't seem to respond.
"She's just standing there." Commented Erven.
"Lady Rhea ! We're here to rescue you !" Shouted Owain, but once again Rhea doesn't respond.
"Hahahaha scream all you want, Rhea is under our control, now Rhea exterminate them !" Obeying Kronya's command Rhea transform into her dragon form.
Rhea open her mouth and unleash a stream of fire breath, rotating her head to attack the heroes. Pit, Owain, and Erven ducked to avoid the fire stream.
"Pit ! Let's use the petrify block again !" Exclaimed Owain.
"O-okay, here !" Pit gives the petrify block to Owain as he infused it in his sword and Pit did the same.
"Do you have some for me ?" Asked Erven.
"Sorry, but this is all I got, that breath attack is going to be a pain to deal with." Remarked Pit.
"You two can use me as a shield, I will use Kaclang again, and use my body to protect yourself." Suggested Erven.
"Are you sure ? There's still Kronya and Hattrene to deal with." Asked Pit.
"If she gets near, use me to smack her away." Said Erven.
Pit and Owain nodded as Ervan cast Kaclang, turning himself into metal.
Rhea unleashed her fire breath again, but now Pit and Owain hide behind Erven. Rhea's breath attack unable to harm Erven as Pit and Owain able to push through, using Erven as a shield.
Kronya seize the chance to attack Pit and Owain, Kronya ordered Hattrene to attack as Hattrene use its hair to strangle Pit, however Owain cut down Hattrene's hair, and it's body slowly petrified and the pokemon turned to stone.
Witnessing this Kronya decide not to engage Pit and Owain directly as she ordered Rhea to attack instead, Kronya run away and jumped to a high platform.
Rhea flapped her wings and the gust of wind pushed Pit and Owain away.
"Pit, you think we can petrify her ?" Asked Owain.
"It's a bit harder to do that on a gigantic creature, not to mention if we can't pierce her scales it would be hard to even petrify her, we can't petrify her by just having our weapons touch her." Explained Pit.
"Pit can't you pray for Palutena to give us more power icons ?" Asked Owain.
"I'll try." Pit tried to contact Palutena as he and Owain fending off Rhea, however Palutena informed Pit that if she tried to help in a major way, Hades will do the same himself.
"No good, it seems Hades are going to help our enemy himself should Lady Palutena intervene to help us." Explained Pit.
Rhea then turn her body around and doing a tail sweep, hitting and sending Erven flying away from Pit and Owain.
Pit and Owain are now exposed without protection, Rhea then charging her breath and unleash her breath attack, as Pit and Owain preparing for what's coming a stream of light from above appear and intercept Rhea's attack, saving both Pit and Owain.
Another dragon join the battle, but that dragon is none other than Tiki, deciding to take part in the battle herself. "I knew I made the right decision to help."
Tiki roar as multiple beams of light descend from above and attack Rhea.
Kronya is shocked to see this unexpected turn of events, she looked at Tiki, ready her blade, and about to jumped to attack her, however an arrow struck her hand, forcing her to drop her blade.
A young man with darker skin complexion and riding a wyvern wielding an arrow seemed the one to attack Kronya.
"Tiki you came." Exclaimed Pit.
"Sorry, I know our enemy have something that can cripple dragons, but I just can't sit still, and of course i also I brought backup with me." Tiki pointed at the wyvern riding man.
"That guy riding the dragon ?" Asked Pit.
"Isn't that Claude ?" Asked Owain.
"You know him ?" Asked Pit.
"Yeah he went to Askr as well, Hey Claude !" Owain waved his hand to Claude.
Claude descend down as he heard Owain calling his name. "Owain, long time no see, I'm actually surprised to see you here, I couldn't believe my eyes when Tiki entered my manor." Said Claude.
"So you really do come back." Claude looked at Kronya.
"Grr...Rhea get up ! And destroy them !" Ordered Kronya as Rhea got up and unleash her fire breath again, Tiki intercept Rhea by using her light breath.
The two energy collided with one another and it seems things aren't going to be good.
"It looks like there's going to be an explosion, everyone hide !" Pit, Owain, Claude and Kronya find someplace to hide as the colliding energy converge and create a huge explosion.
The explosion was so large it destroy the wall Thales risen from the ground, interrupting his magical surgery.
"Gah ! What is going on over there !" Thales looked behind to see the front half of Shambhala was destroyed with Rhea unconscious, and Tiki badly hurt.
"Tiki !" Pit rushed over to Tiki. "I'll look after her, Owain you and Claude go after Thales !" Ordered Pit.
With Rhea defeated Kronya quickly run to Thales's side.
"Right, come on Claude !" Said Owain as Claude lift Owain and let him sit in his wyvern, the two then go after Thales.
"Get away from the professor !" Claude fire an arrow at Thales only for him to use a barrier to block the arrow.
Owain pointed his Levin Sword at Thales, and shoot a stream of lightning at the Agarthan, but suddenly something attacked Claude's wyvern, it loses its balance as Owain and Claude fall from it.
Turns out the attacker is Solon's Grimmsnarl and Solon himself is standing near the pokemon.
"Solon you've returned." Said Thales. "I take it the negotiations went well."
"Oh it is, how are things on your end ?" Asked Solon.
"Almost finished, but apparently I was interrupted." Answered Thales.
"I'll buy you some time, Grimmsnarl attack !" Solon order Grimmsnarl to distract the heroes as Thales continues with his mission.
Claude attempt to shoot another arrow however Grimmsnarl attacked Claude, whipping him with its hair.
Owain also stepped in but Solon intercept him, he erect a barrier to stop Owain from getting close.
"Just a little more." With no more interruption Thales left hand looked like it grabbed something, he removed his hands from Byleth, and his left hand strangling what it's like a little girl, and she has green hair and pointy ears, the process has left Byleth weakened as he falls to the floor.
The heroes, especially Claude are surprised to see this. "Unbelievable, there's another soul reside within the professor."
"Sothis, we meet at last, even from the dead you still interfere with us Agarthans, but no more." Thales strangling Sothis.
Sothis refuse to give up without a fight, she unleash fires from her hand at Thales, burning the Agarthan, forcing him to let go.
"I knew this won't be easy, chaos emerald give me more power ! The power to extinguish a spiritual existence !" The emerald doesn't seem to respond to Thales wishes, completely erasing a spiritual being is an impossible task at least for one emerald. "What !? I don't feel any different ! Emerald hear my wish !"
"Perhaps your wish is too much for one emerald to grant, maybe if we have more emeralds on our side..." Solon advising Thales.
"I suppose this is as far as we can go for now." Remarked Thales.
"You Agarthans doesn't change at all despite centuries has passed, this time I will make sure all of you are perished !" Sothis converging her magic power, attempting to unleash a devastating attack.
"Solon ! Plan B !" Command Thales as Solon prepare what it like a poke ball and sent out the pokemon inside.
Sothis fire a powerful beam of draconic energy, however Thales and Solon are unharmed as something protected them.
That something is Xerneas, the legendary pokemon from Kalos, and Sothis's attack had no effect.
"Xerneas ! Attack !" Ordered Thales.
Xerneas radiate Fairy Aura and use Geomancy, absorbing energy surrounding it and increasing its Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed.
Xerneas then shot Moonblast at Sothis, severely hurting her, Sothis retaliate by conjuring strong winds at Xerneas, but the pokemon is barely fazed by the wind as because of Geomancy it build up it's Special Defense, Xerneas then used Misty Terrain, enveloping Shambhala in fog.
"This place is getting misty." Remarked Erven.
"I feel my power is weakening." Sothis starting to feel the effect of Misty Terrain.
Sothis conjure another powerful wind, but with Misty Terrain still here, her power is weakened, and so Xerneas is the one having an advantage, Xerneas shot another Moonblast which caused Sothis a lot of pain.
"N-no...Sothis..." Byleth reaching his hand to Sothis, unfortunately he's too weak to do anything.
"Byleth..." Sothis looked at Byleth and she bestows her power on him.
Thales waste no time binding Sothis with his magic, he created a chain like construct that coils around Sothis to restrain her.
The rest of the heroes goes after Thales, but he restrain them with his magic as well, and since his magic is empowered by Chaos Emerald, breaking free is extremely difficult.
"Now that the distractions out of the way, this is but the first of suffering you will taste Sothis ! Xerneas combine your power with me ! Unable to defy Thales Xerneas reluctantly share it's power with Thales's magic, Thales then conjure another magical restrain, but this time fused with power of fairy type Pokémon, able to completely restrain Sothis. "It seems we lack the power to completely eliminate you, but that's not what we're after, we will not let you to go to the afterlife, with your complete destruction the Agarthans will be avenged."
Thales give Solon the Chaos Emerald. "You know what to do."
Harnessing the emerald power Solon able to use the magic Zahras without needing a sacrifice as he attempt to imprison Sothis there.
"No ! Sothis !" Byleth tried to reach out to Sothis, but as he tried to get up Solon stepped on his head.
Kronya looked disturbed as she remembered that spell. ("That's the spell Solon used to trap him...by using me as a sacrifice, but the emerald allow that spell to be used without needing a sacrifice...and so much more...then...") Kronya stared at the emerald, she's feeling amazed about the emerald's powers.
"What about them ? Should we imprison them as well ?" Asked Solon.
"With Sothis ? No the last thing we need is for them to work together to formulate a plan to escape, these people know about us and the organization we belong to, eliminating them is our best course of action."
"This isn't good." Said Erven.
"We need to leave now !" Exclaimed Pit.
Seeing the odds against them Erven cast Zoom to withdraw from Shambhala and return to the monastery.
"They escaped." Complained Kronya.
"That won't matter, once we amass more power the monastery will be reduced to rubble." Replied Thales. "Solon, about the negotiation with Team Rocket ?"
"We agree to cooperate, we share them our technology, and they do the same to us...however that man Giovanni is not one to be trifled with, we should plan accordingly the moment to double cross him." Said Solon.
"Once again we have to cooperate with the inferior race to get what we want, just goes to show our society have fallen so low." Remarked Kronya.
"Patience Kronya, they have things we don't, understanding that will be the key to our victory, so until then we just gonna have to bear with it." Replied Thales.
Kronya sighed as she used her black plate to teleport away.
Garreg Mach Monastery
The heroes have returned to the Monastery and regroup.
"I'm sorry, we failed to retrieve Rhea, and we fail to defeat the Agarthans." The heroes apologized for their failure.
"And also, for Byleth...things don't go well for him either." Byleth look beat up.
"What happened ?" Asked Flayn.
"Apparently the Goddess Sothis was removed from Byleth." Answered Erven.
"What !" Shouted Seteth and Flayn at the same time.
"Sothis ! What's the meaning of this !" Exclaimed Seteth. "Sothis...the Goddess have been dead for centuries !"
"Wait you don't know ? That Byleth hold Sothis's soul inside him ? Wait is that why I see him sometimes talking to himself ?" Remarked Owain.
"Everyone it's fine, I'll explain." Byleth struggle to get up.
"You OK Byleth ? Don't force yourself." Tiki holding Byleth.
"I'm fine, everyone I didn't mean to keep this a secret, but let me just explain." Byleth take a seat and explain on how Sothis is residing within him.
"Lady Rhea, how could you do such a thing." Said Seteth.
"She wants to see Sothis again, but this.." Flayn also can't believe what she hears.
"I can't believe it either, and yet I seen it with my own eyes, a spirit resembling a little girl." Remarked Claude.
"With the Chaos Emerald Thales succeeded in separating Sothis from me, the emerald was able to do things that we thought was impossible." Said Byleth. "Sothis bestow her power one last time to me before she was imprisoned, So I'm still able to use the Sword of Creator."
"If the Agarthans really do possess such powerful backers then the monastery won't stand a chance against them." Catherine firing the worst.
"Owain, you're opposing the organization Neo Subspace Army right ?" Asked Byleth.
"Well yeah." Answered Owain.
"Then let the monastery join forces with you, feel free to use this place for your base of operation in Fodlan." Byleth given his permission.
"Seriously ! Well we still need to return to the mansion and talk to everyone first." Said Owain.
"Alright, then I'm coming with you." Offered Byleth.
"Byleth are you sure about this ?" Asked Seteth.
"If the Agarthans backed by otherworldly forces, then it's natural we should do the same, we don't know what they're capable of." Said Byleth.
"That's true.." Seteth reluctantly agreed.
"Then that's settled, I will come as a representative for the monastery or to Fodlan as a whole, I need to speak to whoever in charge of your organization." Byleth offered to come with the heroes.
"Can we go back ? We can't use our golden plate earlier." Said Pit.
"Hmm..it seems we can use it now, whatever interfere with our golden plate seems to have gone." Owain tapping on his golden plate.
"Alright, we need to get back and give Tiki medical treatment." The heroes return to the mansion, this time bringing Byleth along.
"What's just going on ?" Claude looked clueless by what's just transpired.
"Claude it seems something huge is responsible for the Agarthans return." Seteth tried to explain the best he can to Claude.
And done, so I'm using the 3 Houses timeline, but of course Shez will still appear...somehow.
In my fic let's just say most of the students died from the war, and I'm being deliberately ambiguous on which House Byleth chose to teach.
In FEH there's a video on Twitter about Owain and several others being a teacher towards 3H characters, as usual Owain pretty much teach them to be as dramatic as him.
I'd like to make a tribute to Mr. Akira Toriyama the creator of Dragon Ball, I can't believe he died so soon, while I may not be a huge fan of Dragon Ball there's no doubt the franchise is a masterpiece, and also I would like to thank Mr. Toriyama for the designs of Dragon Quest characters, Dragon Quest is one of my favorite games, you've left behind a great masterpiece and you sir will be missed.
