Hello everyone, sorry for taking such a long time and for the short chapter. But the truth is that this chapter was originally going to be updated last week. But I couldn't.
Last week, I suffered a Heat Stroke, which stopped me from working on this chapter. I spent a few days in the hospital, and currently, I am taking some tests because of my liver. So far, I am good. I don't think I have more problems. But, I am not truly in my best condition.
Still, I am trying to keep up with my goal of two weekly updates. Hopefully, before Sunday, Harriet Potter: The Demon Empress, will be updated.
Again, sorry for the long wait, and hopefully, I'll see you all soon.

This is the current set of updates.
-Harriet Potter: The Demon Empress. (One Chapter)

Chapter 44

It has been truly a gruesome few hours of waiting for confirmation of the whereabouts of the Shie Hassaikai base, which made the young heroes' anxiety rise at each minute. But they knew that such an operation had to be done in such secrecy that any whiff or whisper of the heroes' movements could end in disaster. So they waited, all in costumes, looking at Nighteye, who was truly making sure to keep everything under his control. But even he couldn't deny how delicate the situation truly was. However, failure wasn't an excuse. He won't fail, not now or ever.

He has narrowed down the search by doing his own investigation. So now, after a few days of waiting and eating their nails, Nighteye finally had enough information to allow for action. And they'll do just that, stopping the Yakuza group and freeing the poor girl named Eri.

However, things wouldn't be as simple as that, nor would it be easy for the heroes to do. Especially since Galadriel was standing on the corner, watching all the heroes prepare for a very long day. The white-haired girl already knew that Kai Chisaki was aware of their upcoming raid. Galadriel had to give the Yakuza boss some credit. He had a good head over his shoulders and understood that he could not stay hidden forever. Still, the Shie Hassaikai leader has a few tricks left to play.

Now we have to wait and see what he does. Galadriel hummed deeply before her attention was snatched by Narberal, who leaned towards her.

"My lad-Galadriel!" Narberal stuttered nervously. "Why are we standing here with the rest of the humans? Shouldn't we just take the little girl and leave before the raid began?"

Galadriel sighed deeply as she poked Narberal's nose, causing the Pleiades' maid to let out a slight yet cute squeal at such affection. "We need to participate in the operation in order to increase my name and fame. Also, to portray the Nazarick family as allies."

"Allies...?" Narberal muttered.

"Yes, this is an excellent moment for us to increase our reputation. Also, the girl's hopes and dreams must align with ours. Saving her in front of everyone will allow us to... slowly make her loyal."

"I see," Narberal nodded quickly but then glanced briefly at the police officers around them and couldn't help but hiss in disgust. "Why do heroes still need the approval of the police department for such an operation?"

"Heroes are not above the law," Galadriel replied, with a hint of amusement and even annoyance. "They want everything done by the book. Idiots."

Let them do their job. I don't care. The only thing I want now is prestige and to get the girl into my care. Her quirk is valuable for Nazarick.

Galadriel could feel how horrendous those words might sound to someone, but that was the reality of the situation. Galadriel's selfishness, greed, and self-interest could be seen as evil, and they would be right. But even she would like to bring positive change to this world, in her own twisted way, in any case. Eri would be saved, no doubt about it, but she would also be an incredible asset to Nazarick in the future. Eri would grow strong, brilliant, and loyal to her. That was Galadriel's end goal there.

Still, I wonder if Nazarick has everything needed to raise a child. Galadriel pondered quietly, remembering the many talks with Albedo and her not-so-silent wishes to carry Galadriel's child—a funny and amusing dream of her dear Succubus lover, but one with potential and intrigue. Since, truly, even Galadriel thought about such an idea once in a while. She won't deny that becoming a mother was something she would like to become one day in the future. But Galadriel wasn't sure if she would be a good mother at all. That prospect of failure terrifies her not only to herself but also to her child.

Well, I guess Eri will be a good experiment. Galadriel chuckled internally before noticing Nighteye walking towards the group with Solution near him. Galadriel saw the small nod Solution gave her, signalling that their agents were already inside Shie Hassaikai's labs and embezzling all the information about the drugs and how they manufactured them. That was good news for Galadriel.

"We are ready," Nighteye said while the heroes looked at him. "Let's move!"

Galadriel smiled. She also gave a brief glance to the kids in her class. Some were clearly nervous, others anxious, but others were filled with determination.

"Midoriya," Galadriel called as she approached the green-haired boy who was surrounded by the rest. "How are you feeling?" She asked with intrigue.

"I am anxious, but," Midoriya gulped deeply, still remembering the face of Eri when he saw her. "I'll do what I must!"

Galadriel tilted her head, wondering why Midoriya felt so concerned about Eri's well-being. Was it because she was a child? Because he couldn't do anything but watch as she was dragged away? It was hard to say, but Midoriya clearly felt responsible for her. And the same could be said by Mirio, who was waving his arms around.

"Let's do this!" Mirio exclaimed repeatedly as Galadriel shook her head in amusement.

"We are going to save Eri!" Mirio stated, and everyone quickly nodded at his words.

Galadriel could feel a sense of pride in her, for some reason, that it was hard to exclaim. Maybe it was that those kids were growing every time she saw them, which made her feel a bit perplexed, too. They are going to be something else truly. I wonder, if I were not... what I am, would I also be like them? Galadriel thought, hoping for the answer to be a yes.

"I'll see you soon, then," Galadriel smiled before departing, confusing everyone.

"Galadriel, aren't you coming with us?" Uraraka asked, dazed.

"I am, just that; we are the reinforcement," Galadriel smiled, waving at them, lying as easily as she breathed. Galadriel's mind was already set on Eri and the vast amount of information about the drug. She was not necessarily thinking about Shie Hassaikai. They were utterly useless to her. So, while everyone was fighting the Yakuza group, Galadriel would go directly to the girl before anyone else.

"Please be careful, all of you; try not to get hurt," Galadriel said before Narberal. Solution and her vanished in the shadows of the buildings, leaving behind a group of confused students.

"Solution, is Lupusregina in position?" Galadriel asked while they quickly made sure no one was listening to them.

"She is," Solution replied. "And quite eager."

"Mm, good. Tell her that she can go a bit crazy; just don't hurt the students, at least not so much."

"What about us, my lady?" Narberal asked as Galadriel hummed deeply.

"Don't worry, Narberal. We'll get some fun out of this, too.

Galadriel smirked evilly, making sure to showcase, for just a brief moment, the type of person she could also be—a demon.

Lupusregina was leaning on the wall while watching the Yakuza boss gather his forces. She was doing an excellent job at maintaining the facade of a loyal attack dog. It was indeed an incredible and fun job. Maybe Lupusregina was enjoying it way too much. But while her objective was to infiltrate the Villain League and act as a double agent of sorts, Lupusregina saw that only some of the members had quite the potential to serve Nazarick as a whole.

It wasn't as if she was getting attached to them. Because Lupusregina was not, she found them to be toys, perhaps even less, but she knew that if they were to die, her fun would be over. That's why Lupusregina hoped that if they could at least prove themselves to be worth something more, they might survive in the new world her lady was slowly building. If not, at the very least, she wanted to be the one who ended their lives.

Lupusregina wasn't asking for much. Right?

Overhaul said, looking at Lupusregina with keen and intense eyes, "Shigaraki told me to speak with you." Remembering how she was able to stop his attack during their first meeting. Overhaul knew that she was strong, but there was something odd about her. A strange, peculiar strangeness Overhaul couldn't quite figure out. But simultaneously, he had more important things to ponder than whatever she was hiding.

"Aye!" Lupusregina replied, taking seriously her role as "Regina", the self-named second in command. "The boss told us to assist you."

"We didn't have a choice. We were forced to come here," Toga replied stoically, not showing any real emotion while speaking to them.

"The same could be said about us! You damned birdman. You'll pay for what you've done! Also, I look forward to working with you!"

Lupusregina quickly put her arms around those two quite amusing individuals and chuckled. "My, my! Don't worry, we are all friends here!" She exclaimed while Toga grumbled under her breath, and Twice began to have discussions with himself yet again.

However, Lupusregina also gave Overhaul a threatening gaze. "But you see, if you think of betraying or using us to save your skin, Well, my boss gave me permission to kill you."

Overhaul only glared back, and while he believed he could kill the red-haired girl, He also realised that it would take too long to do so. Besides, he wasn't there to make enemies out of potential allies.

"I understand," he replied quickly, not really taking Regina's voice as a threat. "We are allies, after all. I was speaking the truth when I told Shigaraki that we want no war."

Toga sneered at him but said nothing.

"Still, I understand why you'd hold a grudge, and make sure to warn me against any potential betrayal. But now we're working together, and I want to keep it that way for as long as possible. I want you to assist us in carrying out the plan."

Toga and Twice looked at Regina, who was acting as their unspoken leader for now. Regina simply chuckled at them and smiled. "Alright, let's place nice, shall we? What do you want us to do?"

"Just follow my instructions like everyone else in the Hassaikai," Overhaul said before looking at the three of them. "First, tell me the details of your quirks. That way, it would be easier for us to work together. You already know the details of mine. So don't worry."

Again, both Toga and Twice glanced at Regina, who gave them a nod.

"This is not cute. I hate them," Toga grumbled again.

"Ah! This is truly a bad idea. We shouldn't work together!" Twice exclaimed.

"What is your quirk?" One of Overhaul's minions asked.

Before suddenly twisting Twice words and making him happily exclaim in great detail his quirk, however, it wasn't because of his sudden change of heart but the quirk this person has.

Lupusregina sensed immediately. Mm, he made Twice answer him. What sort of quirk does he have? She pondered secretly.

"Uh?! What did I say?! This isn't like me at all!" Twice cried loudly while Toga simply stared at him, quite baffled.

"You think I am stupid."

"No! That's not it!"

"What about you?" The same man asked, and Toga, like Twice, began to explain her quirk in great detail.

Soon, Toga and Twice stared at each other, baffled by how they couldn't stop speaking once they started.

"What's with you two?" Lupusregina asked amusingly, fully aware that she was next. However, such mind games wouldn't work on her.

"It's not that, Regina!" Toga replied, embarrassed.

Overhaul gave Shin a nod before he aimed his question at Shigaraki's second-in-command.

"What about you? How does your quirk work?" He asked, and soon, everyone expected Regina to begin spouting all the details of her power. Still, soon, they all heard a loud chuckle coming from her.

"So, you're the reason these two spoke?" Lupusregina replied, much to the surprise of everyone on Overhaul's side. Even the Shie Hassaikai leader was taken aback by the fact that Shin's quirk didn't work on the red-haired woman.

"I see, I see," Lupusregina leaned forward, showcasing those crazy golden eyes of hers. "It seems you can make people speak once you ask them a question, eh? What an intriguing quirk!"

"How...?" Shin muttered, slightly stunned by the fact that his quirk didn't work on that person.

Toga and Twice were furious about being controlled by someone, so much so that Lupusregina had to stop them both from causing a minor skirmish from happening. "Easy! Easy!"

"Let me go, Regina! I am going to kill me," Toga hissed angrily.

"It's fine, it's fine," Lupusregina leaned forward, whispering into Toga's ear. "You'll get your chance," Lupusregina whispered before licking the girl's ear and giving the girl's earlobe a small bite.

Toga blushed, letting out a girly squeal. "Aw~ Regina! Not in front of people!"

The red-haired girl chuckled before glancing at Overhaul and his minions. "That was a dirty trick, you know?"

Overhaul quickly came back from his shock and calmed down. "It's to cooperate better as a team," he lied.

"Cooperate?! That's not how you make a lasting alliance!" Twice reproached, as angry as Toga.

"We all have to make compromises."

At this point, Lupusregina, Twice, and Toga did not believe him. Still, Lupusregina had a job to do.

"I understand, but you should really reconsider how you deal with people, especially enemies. But now that you're asking for my quirk," she replied quickly, but soon everyone saw how her body began to morph slightly. Her nails became longer and sharper. Lupusregina's fangs extended, and her body seemed muscular, more prominent, and somewhat hairy. This was not Lupusregina's complete form. But just a tiny peak.

Lupusregina has practised a lot with her dear lady to explain what her quirk does. Her lady told her to go wild with her imagination. And so Lupusregina did. It was a bit much, but the result was still the same.

"I can transform into a werewolf, thanks to my quirk. And because of that, I've surpassed everyone else in strength and speed. Mind control, or any mind trick, won't work on me."

Overhaul frowned at that. How could a quirk possess such benefits? "How?" He asked, still stunned.

"Have you ever tried to control a rabid dog? You can't," Lupusregina whispered, her face twisting, morphing into something mad.

"I can smell it in your blood—the quirk. Quite the sensitive nose I have," Lupusregina joked, as her expression represented nothing but a twisted version of a creature.

"Every second matters to me. The longer I fight, the stronger I get. You can destroy my entire arm, Overhaul. But it will regrow as fast as you obliterate it. This is the main reason why my boss dispatched me here," Lupusregina said, licking her lips like a predator would. "I am one of the few people who can take you on. Who can~touch~you~."

Lupusregina's teasing tone only made Overhaul's suspicion grow. Who was this woman? Where did she come from?

Overhaul glared intensely into the woman's eyes, and now it all made sense to him. He couldn't kill her back then. Her body just regenerated faster than his quirk could kill her. Yet he still wondered just how strong she was. That quirk of hers seemed strong. Also, there was something strange about the woman. Overhaul would certainly look into it. "It seems that Shigaraki still had some tricks up his sleeves."

Lupusregina chuckled. "You two are leaders. Trust is not truly in your language when dealing with another group."

"I guess you're right," Overhaul sighed. "So, where do we stand now?"

Lupusregina's body then changed back to normal, as the red-haired girl simply shrugged playfully. "We were sent here to assist you. That's the only truth. Otherwise, why bother doing all of this? Neither of you trust each other. Why try to sabotage you from within? Or have a war among each other? It's a waste of time."

Overhaul chuckled at that now. "I guess that's true."

"Chisaki!" One of his minions whispered, genuinely concerned about continuing with the frail alliance.

"It's okay. We are currently in need of help. So, for now, let's consider this a truce."

"Truce!" Lupusregina playfully hugged both Toga and Twice. "We'll play nice! As long as you do!"

"So be it. We'll accept you as temporary members of the Hassaikai for now."

Overhaul said before leaving. Lupusregina smiled, knowing that Shie Hassaikai's yakuza group would be over soon enough.

What sort of face would he make once everything around him was destroyed? Lupusregina chuckled internally, already getting excited to think about such an expression. She'd wait for that. But hopefully not too long.

Galadriel and company stood atop a building near the Shie Hassaikai's main entrance. They were currently watching everything unfold before them and were not genuinely interested in the current fights going on down there. She wasn't worried about the kids fighting the Yakuza. Oddly enough, Galadriel knew they were going to win. They better win, or else she'd be pretty disappointed in them.

"These Yakuzas aren't that strong. The kids can easily defeat them," Galadriel whispered to herself as Narberal and Solution simply glanced at each other, not truly understanding why their lady had become so fixated on those lesser beings.

Galadriel then sighed. "How are things going down there, Solution?"

"We have managed to take all the information from their labs, which is currently in Lord Demiurge's hands. As well as some fresh samples. However, Kai Chisaki had something with him. We don't know what it is exactly."

"Mm, I see... and the girl...?"

"She's on Kai Chisaki's hand for now."

Galadriel nodded before taking a deep breath. "I see. Then it means that Lupusregina is going to face the heroes soon."

Galadriel then smiled before standing up from her spot. "We should move now."

"Those vermins told us not to move until they called us," Narberal added with disdain in her voice.

"It's the police department. Who cares about them?" Galadriel replied with an amused tone of voice, making Solution chuckle. "They won't do anything. Besides, Eri needs saving. I can't have other people steal my spotlight."

Galadriel smiled before looking down at the base. "You know what to do."

Solution and Narberal nodded as Galadriel took a deep breath and raised her best hero-type face.

Galadriel had a sincere desire to make a good impression on Eri. Galadriel, however, reflected on her own childhood when considering this. Those dark times when her mother was the primary source of comfort also showcase how, when you were a kid and someone was there to protect you, it was easy to turn a blind eye to the world's injustices. When her mother passed away, Galadriel found this out the hard way. She saw everything her mom was trying to shield her from.

Galadriel's terrible, alcoholic, violent father constantly beat and belittled her. Those moments when her mother assured her that the dead bodies she saw in the streets of their poisonous wasteland home were just people sleeping. How many times had her mother persuaded her that the lights in the sky were stars, but they turned out to be pre-war satellites. Everything just hit Galadriel at once, like a grand torrent of anguish.

Galadriel hated to think about it. But some of her felt like she owed Eri at least a chance of happiness. It was a problematic thought since her twisted and demonic side seemed quite angry at that.

It doesn't matter what sort of demon I am. While hypocritical and filled with arrogance and desire. I won't mislead Eri. I'll be honest with her. I shall show her all. And whatever decision she wishes to make. I'll respect it.

Galadriel may be dishonest. After all, the fairy she sent has been filling Eri's head with dreams of wonders. Still, Galadriel would abide by that rule and make Eri capable of choosing for her. And more importantly, Eri would be cherished not only by Galadriel but also by Nazarick.

And perhaps that was worth something.

Down below, Kai Chisaki was walking faster, knowing full well that the heroes had managed to beat some of the members of the Shie Hassaikai. Honestly, it was quite an annoyance for him to have those heroes running his plans. Yet not all was lost. In fact, this was an excellent opportunity for him.

"So noisy," Overhaul muttered, hearing the noises the fighting was causing.

"It seems the fighting is becoming more fierce," Hari, one of Overhaul's assistants, said while holding Eri. "What is the plan?"

Overhaul looked at the boxes in his hands and hummed. "The members of Shie Hassaikai are loyal to our boss. Not to me. But it's fine as long as I have the finished product. I can continue with the plans. Shortly, the Yakuza will emerge from the shadows."

Overhaul muttered before watching that Regina, Toga, and Twice were simply leaning on the walls at the end of the hallways, waiting for him. However, he did not notice Regina's eyes focusing on the package with the drug in his hand.

"So, we should give you some time then?" Regina teased playfully.

"Yes, that's all I need," Overhaul replied as he passed beside her. "Don't disappoint me."

Regina smirked, almost amused by his voice. But then again, she had a lot to do, too. I must tell my lady about the package this guy is carrying. She would love to have those drugs. Regina smiled before maintaining her appearance.

"Alright! It's time to earn our pay!"

"Yes! I want new cute clothes!" Toga exclaimed happily.

"Are we getting paid for this?" Twice muttered to himself. "Do you guys get paid?!"

Regina smirked, wondering how badly she should hurt those heroes to satisfy her lustful need.

Maybe just a little bit~
