Like many times before in the past, the morning sun soon overtook the night to bring the city of Kuoh its usual peaceful mornings. The sun shone brightly in the mostly clear blue skies above with a few small clouds dotting about, whilst the Kuoh city streets remained deserted for the most part due to people starting to wake up and have their early morning routines…

With some waking up sooner than others.

"Yaaaawwn… careful Maria, you don't want to spook your pre-I mean, companions ufufufu…"

Stifling one out of many yawns, a mildly sleepy-looking pure-blooded Succubus named Maria slowly crept along the hallways, sliding along the walls while making sure not to make too much noise by doing things such as scraping the walls with her dress. She had woken up at about 6am today, which in her eyes was a much better time than what she had been used to for the last few years she spent on the run protecting Mio. As for what the reasoning for her early rising was, whelp that was simple:

To film her charge and a certain descendant of Poseidon getting it on!

The reason why she had thought this was going to happen had been due to some of her powers as a creature of the night. There were many rumours throughout the human world about the Succubus race, and while many were exaggerated there was still some truth to them, especially when one looked at the capabilities that Succubuses had. They were largely underestimated which her race historically had never bothered to correct due to taking advantage of their enemies naivety about them both in the power sense and the biological sense. Plus, Succubuses usually focused on their love of carnal pleasures and perversion which also added to other racs having lower opinions about them.

As for where she was going with this, Maria herself could be considered a powerFul succubus in her own right since they usually awoke to their powers when they reached 13 due to that being when puberty started for them, lasting till 15 when their powers were fully awakened. Currently, while she looked like a lolli Maria was actually WAY older than she looked, way older than Mio and all the members of Team Hellsing combined actually, hence her powers had developed quite a bit (largely due to excessive adversity too).

In this case, Maria's Succubus nature gave her powers over dreams, not just her dreams but also those around her, and that had allowed her to zero in with her senses on where people were through those dreams. That meant she knew where Mio had gone off to last night,to Theseus's room which had sent surges of delight through her.

Since Mio had long since become an adult woman in the eyes of the human world, embracing her twenties, she hadn't yet savord the pleasures of the flesh though Maria could tell via her succubus powers that she did indeed desire it deep down. Thus that HAD to be the reason why she would go to Theseus's room, she had seen 'something' between those two through the exchanges they had, and it drove the Succubus wild with perverted ideas of what they could potentially get up to!

Thus, Maria would go to that room and record the morning the two would wake up having truly experienced the world of adults for the first time! It would be a monumental occasion, hence why she had sneaked out and bought a camera JUST for this occasion.

'I'm so happy for you, Mio! You've become a proper adult woman!'

Finally, Maria reached the door to Theseus's room to which Maria noticed that it was locked. Nothing she could not handle, just a quick use of her Succubus tail that she could sprout and retract at will (without entering her combat form) and she managed to pick it, then slowly opened the door as silently as possible and stepped inside.

The moment she did, Maria bore witness to a sight that made her wanna squeal like a fangirl.

Both Theseus and Mio currently lay in the same bed, it was impossible to tell if they were clothed or not but Maria doubted it since few could resist the beauty that was Mio in her eyes. But what was MORE interesting was how the redhead had her arms wrapped around the stud of a man that the usually broody guy was whilst nestling her face close to his neck, her legs intertwined with his. What intrigued her was that she wasn't the only one being affectionate in her sleep, for Theseus had his arms wrapped around her in turn, cradling her with one arm's hand placed at the back of her head as if to protect her from something.

One could almost assume they were a married couple with a pose like this.

Maria had a devilish smirk on her face with a mischievous glint in her eyes at seeing all of this. Oh, the amount of teasing and blackmail she could do with this would be legendary! She could imagine it well, seeing Theseus being all flustered yet furious at having this used against him, while Mio would be redder than a cherry and too embarrassed to speak up. She could make them do anything she wanted, and the best part would be that his friends would probably take great amusement at the humiliation plays she could make here!

In an attempt to contain her excitement and glee, Maria turned her head to the side and put a hand on her mouth, stifling her devious giggles. "Hehehehe, looks like I'll be taking my revenge." she muttered under her breath with her hidden lips curved into a face-splitting grin.

Just when she was about to do so…

In an instant, Maria's eyes widened in horror when she felt something sharp, multiple somethings actually, grip onto her throat which made her stiffen, barely restraining the urge to squeak fearfully due to the fear of these sharp things breaking the skin and snapping her neck in two. Though that became a lot harder to do, and also a task she failed at when she heard the one voice she did not want to hear. "How about being a bit quieter before you wake someone up?"

Seconds after hearing that voice, Maria's horror-filled eyes bore witness to water seeming to appear out of thin air, swirling around the space in front of her while forming into a series of shapes. Shapes soon grew until they transfigured into multiple sharks swimming through the air around her which made her pale. It didn't help that this sight somewhat resembled how sharks cornered their prey in the ocean depths before utterly devouring them till there was nothing left, and right now… she felt like the prey these Sharks would soon be dining on.

'Wha…?! What the heck is happening?! What's going on!?'

Then she heard Theseus' voice around her. "There are a few things that can annoy me so far, this one happens to be one of them." It sounded like he projected his voice around her as she looked around her looking for Theseus but couldn't find him. Regardless, numerous chills ran up and down her spine whilst she felt that Theseus was grinning at her in a creepy way. "And if you're wondering about Mio... Let's just say that she wants to see you suffer. SO without any further ado..."

SNAP!

The sharks stopped swimming around and looked at her, getting ready to devour her flesh on their daily meal. It didn't help that the one which had grabbed her throat from behind with its teeth had slowly risen upwards, taking her with it, resulting in her feet hanging above the floor. "Here is a first lesson that will be important for your life, don't poke the gryphon's tail… which means in simple terms don't mess with me."

Panic settled within her gut to which Maria attempted to plead for her life, looking almost like a chibi girl flailing her hands out in a comical manner. "Wait wait! We can talk about this, can we Theseus? There's no need for this type of violence, do we? We're allies so we should have each others' backs!"

"Let me think about it hmmmmmmmm…" At the end, Theseus's voice sounded like he was actually considering her pleas, filling her with hope that he would be merciful. After all, they were allies and allies didn't double-cross one another and it didn't seem like Meredith would allow such a thing... but then, all those hopes just went away with the following instance. "You should've thought about that before you entered my room."

The sharks each made a grin, showing their watery sharp teeth as if they were going to enjoy this. Maria had one thing to say with a trembling lip and a pathetic whimper.

"Mommy."

The sharks then swam to her with their mouths wide open as Maria screamed.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

Later

Right after traumatizing Maria, Theseus dumped her out of his room to leave her at the mercy of anyone who found her, of which he had no doubt there would be a severe lack of. Lets just say none of them tolerated much bullshit, not even Meredith and she sometimes helped punish them on Sir Integra's orders whenever their pranks on one another (him and the boys save for Arthur the prude) got out of hand.

As for right now, the male currently resided within his indoor pool area watching Mio in her swimming gear which is a two piece red cloth, her bikini tightly gripping around her massive breast while her pants hugged her bottom as well. Since they had a free morning today, it had been decided (after the whole morning incident) that it was time to start training Mio on how to properly handle her powers so she could live normally and not like some person with special needs.

The redhead currently swam within his cold pool with water droplets clinging to every fibre of her body, all the while Thesues looked down at Mio from his perch literally on the water's surface.

"Alright in order to control that power leak of yours, you need to think of it as a flow of water, how rapid it is and the direction its supposed to be going." Theseus instructed Mio who shivered a bit before looking confused at what Theseus meant. This didn't last long though, for he soon elaborated on that point. "When you're in water, it's easier to feel the flow through your body like your energy is, it will be easier to solve the problems of your leaking energy. Understood?" Mio nodded her head to Theseus in understanding, sort of seeing the logic behind it.

Though whether or not she could pull it off was a whole different matter altogether.

"Good, now I want you to memorize the flow while swimming for two hours. Remember what I said, feel the flow and control where you want it to go." With that said, Theseus turned on his heels and walked across the watery surface to the pool's edge, hopping onto its ledge before turning and standing with his arms folded like a certain earth god who was bad with money in that one popular Chinese game.

Again, Mio nodded her head to Theseus before she started his instruction and started swimming in order to memorize the flow. Whilst this happened, Theseus remained in place whilst staring intently at her back as he watched Mio's training.

"You seem to be a rather decent instructor, aren't you Theseus?" a feminine voice suddenly spoke to him from his right side. Having not sensed any bloodlust, Theseus simply glanced to the right out the corner of the said eye and saw Meredith approaching him from the entrance. Once she had gotten close enough to him, the male flicked one of his hands in her direction despite his arms being folded, and an earthen chair suddenly sprouted next to him, to which the woman nodded with a thankful smile before she smoothed down her blue dress's long skirt from behind and sat down. She soon crossed one stocking-covered leg over the other, joining Theseus in observing Mio's training. "I had half expected you to be a bumbling mess as you tried figuring out how to teach someone, especially a thriving proper lady."

"I'm not a teacher or an instructor on how to control leaking energy, I just do it my way Meredith." Theseus answered her. To him, Theseus didn't see himself as a proper instructor of this day and age, he preferred the hectic intensity born on the battlefield, thus he felt rather out of his element doing something like this. The only reason why it looked like he was doing a decent job was that he had memorized some of the things he had learned from Sigismund about instructing someone, so that was why he currently acted more like a spartan or crusader mentor to the young redhead.

Meanwhile, Meredith hummed at that before putting her fist under her chin as she leaned forward a bit. "Maybe, but I'd say you are doing a decent job of it despite it being her first day." Meredith commented, though not elaborating any further on the matter.

He didn't need to inquire further there, since he had already gotten the hint from her tone that there was more to her visit than simply checking up on Mio's progress that had hardly begun yet. Theseus, to this end, kept his gaze at the redhead who swam about somewhat like a fish whilst directing his following question at Meredith. "What do you want? I know you didn't come here for a simple chit chat Meredith." Theseus stated to Sir Integra's student.

"You are right on that one, Theseus." Meredith admitted with a lopsided smile, knowing that Theseus wouldn't be dealing with any BS from her. He wasn't that type of man, she had observed, but regardless her tone soon took a more serious turn as did her expression. "We got updated orders from Sir Integra. It's about the Hero Clan." Meredith answered Theseus which made him finally turn his head fully towards her, his eyes narrowed into slits. "Normally, we would settle for organizing a diplomatic meeting-"

"Bullshit."

"-BUT with complications on our way due to many enemies on our back she specifically said and I quote, 'If the hero clans are out of their boundary steps or get in our way, then do as you wish, rip and tear until it is done.'"

Theseus looked at her with a shadowed face before he turned away from her and looked at the stone walls before his green eyes glowed and showed a bloodthirsty smile. "Heh, looks like even she wants those supposed heroes gone doesn't she?" Theseus questioned Meredith as her eyes glowed under the shadows of her hat, similar to her mentor but with no glasses.

She didn't respond to him, but she didn't need to since he already knew the answer.

One step that the Hero Clan took across their borders, then it will be the last step they'll take.

Timeskip

A while later, the Helsing Group were at their university taking their usual classes, but with only a few students in the classroom. This was due to the period being finished a few minutes ago, to which in current times Theseus was looking outwards at the window while Mio watched him from behind.

Before long, their silence got broken when footsteps approached the male, who soon felt a pair of fingers tapping on his left shoulder. Theseus promptly turned around and looked at the offender, who turned out to be Yahiro, with narrowed eyes. "What do you want?" Theseus asked Yahiro with harshness in his tone.

In response, Yahiro put his hands up like he was surrendering. "No need for any hostility mate, just asking if you're preparing for the upcoming English project. You know 5 pages of what your subject will be?"

"What do you care about that? I already know what I'm going to write, it's just as simple as writing what comes from your mind."

"Well if it's that simple for you, then can you give me some tips as well?"

"Why do you even need help from me? You're asking the wrong person."

"If I would then wouldn't be asking you, did I get you there?"

Yahiro put his hand on his hips as he smiled at Theseus, who looked at him before sighing in defeat.

"(SIGH) fine, I'll give you some tips on the project."

"Great! Thanks man, really appreciate it. Now…."

As they talked, Mio looked at Theseus without any expression on her face but was internally saying 'Why doesn't he show some support when we were at class? He's been like that ever since we slept together like it was only one thing. Doesn't he know how much I feel?' Mio mused to herself before she saw the girl from the Hero Clan (she had been made aware of their activities and actions by Meredith) rise up from her seat and begin heading to the exit without giving a glance to her or Theseus.

Nonetheless, Mio shuddered to herself since she felt hostility from her, even without showing it.

Yahiro suddenly remembered something as he walked to Mio which brought her attention to him. "Which reminds me, Mio the teacher said that they need someone to help them organize the assignments for the high school division. They told me to ask if you're available to help them. It might take you all night but it would also give you some credit as well."

Upon hearing that, a pensive look formed over her features while Mio thought about Yahiro's suggestion, about whether should help the teachers or not. It seemed like a simple enough task to her, but it would also mean that she wouldn't be in Theseus' protection. Since she had only just started on her energy training, Mio wasn't sure if she was ready to defend herself or not.

Fortunately, she didn't need to think about an answer for long thanks to how Theseus stood up and turned to them. "I'll help her as well." Theseus declared which made Mio shocked about his sudden decision.

Yahiro's eyes widened before showing some bit of concern after looking at him. "You sure about that, Theseus? It's not a big deal she can just refuse if she wants."

Theseus waved his hand in nonchalant "meh, night time doesn't affect me at all and besides a little extra work would take my mind away from something." Theseus said to Yahiro as he hums before shrugging his shoulders.

"Alright if you say so." Yahiro replied to Theseus.

Mio started to feel dizzy all of a sudden as her face turned a bit red as she wobbled around a little. Theseus turned around and was about to speak with Mio. "Come on lets-huh what the?" Theseus looks at her state as if something was affecting her as he went closer to her. "Oi, what's happening Mio?" Theseus questioned her as her wobbles were increasing as she attempted to speak.

"Theseus, I…..don't feel so…...good." Before she could completely finish that sentence, Mio's eyes closed shut as she suddenly fell towards Theseus who widened his eyes in shock. This didn't stop him from reaching out with his arms and catching her as he squats down. He put her head on his arms before putting his hand on her forehead as he felt her heating up. He clicked his tongue. "Tsk, fuck. I knew I should've made the pool warm..." he cursed himself.

Yahiro looks in worry at the state of Mio as he squats down. "Is she alright Theseus-san?" Yahiro asked him as he looked at Yahiro before getting up as he carried her like a princess carry (which made the girls fawn over him).

"She's fine, she has a fever." Theseus answered him as Yahiro sighed in relief before he also got up as well.

"Phew! Thought something happened to her for a second, come on. I'll show you where the medic room is." He gestured Theseus to follow him as he walked with him, they exited out of the room and walked through the halls to the doctors room.

Theseus knew damn well that Mio's state was all his fault, despite being indoors the pool had been set to a cold temperature since he was never affected by the cold. He was used to it and so were the others when they came for a swim... Obviously, Mio didn't have that luxury, something he should have foreseen.

The fact that he hadn't meant that not only Meredith, but the entire team including himself will be having his neck for endangering her.

They walked through the halls for a few minutes before Yahiro showed him the doctor's room.

As they entered the school medics room, Theseus (who had since switched to a piggyback halfway through the journey) gently placed Mio on the hospital bed after Yahiro had moved the blankets so he could do so. The male then went and covered her with those same blankets.

He sat nearby at the bed as he looked at Mio for a few minutes before putting his hand over his eyes in frustration. "Goddammit, I should've known when she was shivering at the pool." he said before putting his hand away.

"Well you don't need to blame yourself young man, we all make mista-" Theseus looked at the school nurse when he heard her voice. However, the moment that she raised her head to look up at the student, she stopped speaking with her face being morphed into one of deep shock before dropping her clipboard on the ground.

Theseus raised an eyebrow at her before she shakily took some steps towards him, the male wondering what the heck was going on. Why was this Nurse acting so weird around him, looking at him like she had seen a ghost?

That is until he heard her call his name… his REAL name.

"Kaito? Is that….you-"

SHING!

In an instant, his eyes turned shark-like before Theseus got close to the nurse, catching her off guard. In that following instance he pulled out his Trident and pointed it at her face with an utterly furious expression while he leaked out his bloodlust towards her. "How did you know that name!? Tell me!" He demanded of her.

The nurse was stunned at his bloodlust which made her froze before she felt his energy which snapped her out of her trance.

"So... that's how you survived. You unlocked your powers haven't you?" she whispered under her breath, a whole flood of emotions flowing through her at the moment.

Theseus grew angrier by the second, looking like he would tear the school nurse apart. He did NOT like the fact that this unknown woman knew his darkest secret, it felt not only like an invasion of privacy but I felt like she had something over him, and he did not appreciate that. Every fibre of his being screamed at him to run her through with his Trident consequences be damned, that not being done only thanks to a small shred of control running through his mind. Thus, he once again demanded her. "I said tell me, or else I will make sure you'll suffer worse than death itself! You'll be begging for it when I'm through with you!" His voice raised itself a few octaves as his aura manifested around him, shaping itself into a great white shark ready to devour its victim as lightning static around him.

Meanwhile, the Nurse whose name tag had the name 'Chisato' on it looked sadly at his state of what he became over the years, she did not show any fear instead she smiled at him. "Don't you remember me? It's me, your aunt Chisato, my little seashell."

"?!" Theseus gasped when he heard the name Chisato come from her lips, his eyes shrining to dot size as he suddenly grunted, pressing a hand over the side of his head. Before his eyes, the male had a flashback, the hand moving onto his face without his knowledge while the Trident was pulled away from her face. In that flashback, he saw his childhood home where he met the woman similar to his vision before he remembered her, the flashback occurring mostly in blurry images that had been marred by both time and bloodshed.

By the time the flashback ended, Theseus still had his hand on his face before he slowly pulled it down to his side, though he did set out the task of keeping his trident out ready to strike. Chisato was worried that he wouldn't remember the time back in his childhood as she was about to show proof but she became happy when she heard him say. "So…. I didn't expect to see you here…...aunt Chisato."

She had tears on her face as she was about to jump on Theseus. "Kaito!" she screamed as she was about to land on him, expecting to hug him tightly so he wouldn't leave her sight once more.

Unfortunately for her, that turned out to not be the case. This became reality when instead of hugging her, Theseus dodged her attempt as she widened her eyes before bracing for impact. Before she could process anything or even brace for that impact however, Theseus reached out with his free arm and grabbed the back of the collar of her doctor coat and made her stand up straight. Chisato looked confused to Theseus on why he did that as he answered her unsaid question. "I'm not the same person as I was before, not after that day." He told her, refusing to look at her face.

Upon hearing this, an utterly devastating expression formed on Chisato's face once again. She couldn't even be mad, since it had indeed been a long time since they've met and as such people tended to change themselves over the years.

Regardless, Chisato shook her head and refused to let those thoughts get to her, favoring grabbing his free hand lovingly as she smiled sadly at him. "I'm sorry I wasn't there at the time when they struck the island, Kaito. If I stayed there for one more day…. Then Ushio and Michael would still be alive to this day."

"It's not your fault I….hold on." he furrowed his brow when she mentioned that she was hiding something from them as he looked at her. "You know about the supernatural world?" he questioned her, looking uncharacteristically shocked. Not only that but now that he looked at her, Theseus realized something else: this woman didn't look like she had aged a day ever since he had last seen her all those years ago. She even wore the same outfit minus the brown coat having exchanged it for this white doctor's one.

At this point, he had long since forgotten about Yahiro who had taken a backseat in all of this.

"... I guess we have a lot of explaining to do, don't we?" she said to him as he looked at her before nodding as they went to sit down, Chisato sitting on the chair in front of her desk as Theseus dragged another seat before sitting down. Theseus had his head down for a moment before looking at her with a serious expression.

"Where do I start?... when you left the island two days prior, I participated in a festival with my family. We had a good time on roller coasters, toy stands, games, and those magic shows." Chisato smiled at this, thinking back to the time when she herself had been able to join that family at the festival.

She remembered the merry atmosphere first, how happy and joyful everything had been like in a typical festival. However, there had been something about the festival that the family went to that Chisato found a certain appeal for, perhaps it had to do with the fact that two of her precious friends were there to enjoy it with her. It didn't hurt that Chisato had Theseus with her as well, he had always brightened up when his favourite 'Aunt Chisato' had joined them on any outing, one could say he enjoyed her presence more than his parents did, and for someone like her, having someone enjoy her presence so much made her feel like hugging them and never letting go.

Then, her smile disappeared when his tone became dark. "That is until they came." Theseus gripped his hands hard as his muscles twitched at the memory of those creatures. "Demons from hell appeared all of sudden causing chaos, ruins, and destruction. They tore apart people, destroyed many buildings, they killed Jack, and tore apart his family. My father sacrificed his life to give me time to go to my mother." Theseus felt his lips tremble when he had a flashback of his father when he told him to make sure he and his mother were saved. Before those things butchered him. "I tried to find my mother to see if she was safe and fine but…. Instead….. they took everything from me. My life, my home, my friends, and my family. You could say that they 'killed' the old me, Aunt Chisato."

"Theseus…"

Chisato's eyes remained wide as saucers as she heard the ultimate fate that had befallen her friends. She had seen what remained of their corpses after arriving too late to stop the island's destruction, so she knew all too well what had happened to them. She had seen it before, but well, hearing it from someone who had personally experienced the horrors was a whole new ball game, and it tore at her heart all the more. She wished she could pull Theseus into a hug right now and apologize over and over, but judging from what had happened before that wouldn't be allowed by him.

Shaking his head to try and get himself back under control, Theseus gritted his teeth as he felt his emotions swirling like a storm inside of him, his Sacred Gear just short of activating in response to them. After all, it wasn't often that he had to remember what had happened fully like this, having never told ANYONE about this experience due to the nature behind it, plus should anyone even attempt to ask him about his past beforehand he either would have deflected it or threatened them at Trident point. But, this was Chisato his adoptive Aunt and quite likely the sole link he had to a world he would never see again, her familiar warmth and atmosphere softening some of the stone hard walls he had put around himself resulting in the words just flowing out.

Did he need something like this more than he realized?

Theseus wasn't sure.

But what he WAS sure about was that he didn't want to stop this feeling of something lifting from his shoulders anytime soon. "After… after everything that happened, I… I left the island on a boat, one that the Principle had leant me since he didn't see any use for it… right before telling me to end him. A-A-After killing so many Demons, I felt nothing as I fulfilled his wish… which started my days of travelling around trying to learn about my Sacred Gear. Though I didn't know what that was at the time." He then held his Trident out in front of him, horizontally while gazing at his reflection in its shaft. "This guy here was my sole companion. You might have seen it Chisato, since it's been a part of my family for a long time, a family heirloom."

With one look at the Trident (now that it wasn't put at her throat) Chisato noticed the supernatural energy surrounding it and her eyes widened, a memory of seeing a katana within the blonde's family home.

Theseus guessed she knew what he was talking about judging by the look of realization in her eyes, so he continued. "I spent years travelling around, training my powers, learning about this apparent connection I have with the sea among all sorts of things. Even fought monsters that seemed to specifically target me that normal humans didn't seem to notice at all. They served as decent practice targets I'll admit, though I also had run-ins with Devils as well…" he remarked, thinking about his time on the move which could be considered a nomadic lifestyle. There were many things he had to do to survive, many of which he wasn't particularly proud of, but they had helped shape him into the beast of a warrior that he was today.

"Devils…"

Chisato scowled at the mention of the Devils, having had a few unpleasant run-ins with them herself. She remembered many of those instances in which they ended with her either blasting them to kingdom come, or having to be forced to entertain them for a time due to them having been a big part of her search for Theseus at the time. She had to exercise a lot of connections while posing as a Nurse in this University for her search, and had almost given up many times over the years.

So, to hear that Theseus had lived a nomadic lifestyle while being hunted by multiple supernatural factions did NOT sit well with her.

"...Eventually I wound up in the UK, specifically its capital of London. I soon met one of my future brothers in arms Vali after rescuing him from Devil Pursuers, and after some time travelling together we found another brother of ours called Kuroh, and were finally recruited into the Hellsing Organization by their head honcho, Sir Integra herself." Theseus explained, and while his tone remained dark there had been a lighter inflection within his tone whilst a glimmer of light returned to his eyes. The many moments of beating down enemies, each other, and all the good times he had with his bros coming back to him and giving Theseus a sense of peace.

Theseus looked at Chisato's horrified face when he mentioned the Hellsing Organization. He was not completely surprised at this reaction, they would always get a reaction like this whenever he mentioned their name due to their reputation.

"HELLSING!?" Chisato jumped from her seat and forced him to look around his body for any infection as she looked straight up to his face. "Kaito, do you know how dangerous and deadly they are!?"

"Yes." He simply said to her which made her freaked out more.

"Kaito, you wouldn't last a second in that organization! They're the bloodiest faction in the world, not even compared to any monsters out there! Even the Hindus are weary of their trump card!"

"Then you'll be surprised at who my mentor is."

"Who?"

"Alucard."

THUD!

"... whelp, she lasted more than a minute." he said as he looked at Chisato's fainting structure when he mentioned the no-life king's name. Raising from his seat and idly checking on Mio to see if she was awake or not, Theseys saw that she wasn't so he simply shrugged his shoulders. Then, he squatted down by Chisato's side before reaching out with his free hand and shook her shoulder to wake her up.

Chisato groaned for a few minutes as her eyes flickered before seeing Theseus's face. "(GROAN) I just had this weird dream that you joined the Hellsing faction and said that your teacher was Alucard himself. Thought it was real." she said as she smiled at Theseus to see if he was joking or not. Her facial expression froze as her smile was still there, she grabbed Theseus by his shoulders and shook him like a ragdoll. "Please tell me you're joking, right? Tell me in every god's name that your mentor is not the Unholy king?!" she shook him rapidly as it would make some person sick and throw up, but not a few certain people like Theseus for an instant.

He stopped her shaking and grabbed her hand. "Get a hold of yourself woman!"

SLAP!

He slapped her face to stop her freakout, her eyes widened for a minute before shaking her head and gave a thankful face to him. "Thanks, I needed that Kaito." she said to him as she regained her stance and cleared her throat before looking worried and concerned to him. "But still Kaito, these people are dangerous. They earned that title for a reason. Alucard is the living embodiment of darkness itself. Even I myself know how he earned those many titles."

Theseus looked unfazed by her concern as he spun his trident around in one hand, showing he was not afraid one bit. "So am I, Aunt Chisato. Years have passed and things have changed, I'm no longer the naive kid anymore who craves heroism anymore. I am one of their soldiers of command, a being of chaos, student of the no-life king and more recently, the Shark King." Theseus declared, shadows covering his face save for his now glowing sea green eyes, which made Chisato almost step back had she not possessed enough willpower to not be afraid of his declaration.

She looked at him for a moment before closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, trying to settle herself internally. Afterwards, she once again took his hand and opened her eyes showing sadness as well as happiness within them. "If that's what you want, then I'm not going to stop you. It's your path on where you want to walk, I'm just so happy to see you alive again Kaito." She spoke with a smile which matched the look in her eyes.

On his side of things, Theseus remained looking unfazed by her emotion, his eyes persisting in their darkness for a moment… before he finally returned to normal and dismissed his Trident, sighing afterwards. "Thanks, Aunt Chisato… It's a given that I'll choose the path I take, and right now that path is with the Hellsing Organization. And besides, they're a perfect fit for someone like me, since they are the monsters that other monsters fear… including the ones which killed everything I loved in the past." he told her firmly, his gaze calm and collected, not reflecting what he truly felt deep inside. "Also, call me Theseus. Kaito was my old life, Theseus…...is my new one, one I escaped after escaping hell itself." Chisato nods her head in understanding as she will respect his wishes.

He looked at Mio as she was still asleep but had a red face on her cheeks, Chisato looked where he was looking and saw Mio. She formed a serious expression on her face as she walked to her bed and examined her for a bit before looking at Theseus. "She's fine now, just a small fever Theseus, she'll need to rest for a bit." Theseus nods his head in understanding but there seems to be more on Chisato as she looks like a commanding officer who is still instructing orders. "But it would be a bit difficult if she stays in one place longer than a month or two. Her being a descendent of Satan himself will make enemies want her for their own use."

The moment that he heard that last bit, Theseus felt alarm bells ring in his head. He did NOT tell her anything about Mio so how the hell did she know? "How did you know she was his descendent Chisato?" he questioned cautiously, resisting the urge to summon his Trident again. If he hadn't before, now he truly did believe her claims at being part of the supernatural world, especially if she had known about Satan, which made her role in this all the more dangerous. Part of him now regretted bringing Mio here, as he could have potentially put her life at risk since he didn't know where Chisato's loyalties lay. He might have to report this to Meredith when he got the chance.

"I've had my resources Theseus." Chisato answered him as she put a hand on Mio's face. Her face remained set into a grim expression however, trailing her hand down the side of Mio's jawline. "Many will want to kill her due to being related to one of the worst beings in the world. Though I'm a rational person, I know that she is not guilty just for having the blood of the original devil itself." Taking her hand away, she turned to face Theseus whilst pocketing her hands inside her doctor coat. "However, there are those who won't see this way. Old hatred doesn't go away that easily, you have to understand that he was the worst thing there was at the time, since he's the opposite of the god of the Bible. He is the living embodiment and incarnation of evil itself, he's done so many horrible atrocities, even worse than destruction itself."

Theseus couldn't argue with Chisato there, since he knew how much evil the original Devil had done in the world, even Alucard himself had said that if he had to choose one of them to kill, God of the bible or Satan, he would choose to kill Satan because even he found his actions disgusting.

"Her powers are still young but she has potential Theseus, heed my warning." she walks straight to him as they were face to face with a heavy intention on the air right now. "If Mio starts to have those traits similar to her ancestor, then you have two options: either convince her to return to normal, if that doesn't work then you'll have to end her life. The choice will be on your hands Theseus."

Theseus' face darkened at Chisato's warning, though he didn't lash out or reprimand her. His aunt was right, sometimes people would have a sudden change in themselves because of their potential being released, just like how he had been fundamentally changed before. Even good people had the capacity for evil inside of them, a taint of darkness in their souls. It could be either a small piece like ant-sized, or as black as the void the universe had once been one could never truly tell for certain.

He gripped his hands hard as if he were breaking a hard rock, but slowly released it as he looked at his hand before shifting his gaze to his aunt Chisato as he said with a heavy tone. "I understand Aunt Chisato if worse comes to serve." he took a glance at Mio's sleeping figure before going back to Chisato. "Then I will have no choice but to do it."

Chisato nodded her head to Theseus as she put her hand on her pocket, and walked to the door before glancing at her nephew. "It will be hard to do so Theseus, I know it's a difficult decision but sometimes you just have to make it." she opens the door as she was about to leave, not before saying one last thing to him.

"And be sure to try and visit me sometimes, often if possible Kaito. We have a lot to catch up on." she left the room, leaving Mio and Theseus alone in the medic room. Yahiro had left not long before their talk had ended after all.

'I told her to not call me that… (SIGH) Whatever, let's check on Mio for now…'

Shaking his head in annoyance with his aunt for not accepting his request, though he felt much less annoyed compared to if someone like his bros were to do it, Theseus turned back on his seat near Mio. The way her breathing was regulated, how her chest rose and fell in a rhythmic pattern, all served to prove to him that she was alive and gradually getting better, bringing a sense of relief to the male.

As he looked at her sleeping state, the male remembered something and promptly took out his Bolt pistolas he took aim around a room for a few minutes before noticing the state of his bolt pistol. It had a few cracks around his pistol which meant it would be good for a few rounds, but it will break afterwards. The gun was a prototype, still new as Walter said he would send his new bolter soon, he just can't wait.

"(GROAN)." Mio groaned as she took a few breaths as she was experiencing a few symptoms of fever as she coughed for a few seconds before she stopped.

His heart slightly beating faster than normal, Theseus got up from his seat and looked at Mio with a bit of concern. "Mio you alright? If so then wait here, I'll go and get a cough drop for you." he proclaimed, about to leave the room had Mio not reached out and grabbed his hand first. "Huh?"

"Please…..don't leave me alone." she pleaded to Theseus who raised an eyebrow at her.

"I won't be out that long Mio, I'm just gonna be out a bit before-" just as he was about to continue, he saw Mio's pleading face as if she didn't want him to go and stay with her for a while.

They stared at each other before Theseus gave in. "Alright fine, you win. I'll stay with you." he muttered in resignation, as Mio made a happy face. Theseus sat down once again and faced her. "I imagine that you would blame me for putting you in this state." Theseus remarked with guilt, having expected to hear her blaming him for getting a fever. He wouldn't blame her if she did, since as an instructor he had a duty to make sure he could train his student effectively, it was one of the things he had learned from memorizing Sigismund's teaching methods. To have failed her as a student, she had every right to be mad at him.

But much to his surprise, it turned out the opposite as she shook her head at his words, a soft smile on her lips. "It's not your fault and I don't blame you. You just didn't know what would happen before Theseus, and besides at least you were honest with me." she stated.

For a moment, Theseus wondered if she was truly the descendant of Satan, because with the way she smiled at him right now spoke of a completely different story. After that moment had passed, the male looked down to her abominable area concealed by the blankets, a bemused expression on his face. Clasping his hands together and placing them onto the beside, the male made the following serious statement. "I don't tend to lie that often, just being blunt is what I am."

The moment she heard this Mio couldn't help the giggle that escaped her mouth, mirth filling her at the truth behind that statement. "(GIGGLE) true… but wouldn't it be bad for you whenever you're blunt?"

"Sometimes, but that doesn't stop me." he took out his phone as he scrolled to it before tapping something on his phone. "We're gonna be here for a while before I'll have to call the others to make sure what took us." he put his phone to his ear. It rang for a while before someone answered.

"Meredith…..if you're wondering where I am, I'm in the uni's hospital room….. The reason why is because Mio got a slight fever on herself which is because of me…..Oi how am I supposed to know she would get a fever?...oh yeah, that part was my responsibility put the blame on me…..ugh, anyway we're gonna be here for a while until she gets better just want to let you and others know….alright alright fine I got it, I'll make sure she's safe and before you hang up I just want to let you know… you might want to check on that fudge cake I saw in the fridge, overheard Maria having intentions to steal it and blame it on Kuroka. Bye now." He stated, smirking darkly at the end before cutting the call.

He could have heard Maria's screams of terror if he was on the phone a bit longer.

Mio shot a deadpanned look at the snickering Theseus. It wasn't long before he noticed the look on Mio's face as he looked at her with no shame. "What? It's not like she wasn't giving you problems before." he said to her as she sighed at him. "At least I'm right here beside you so don't get upset."

That caused Mio to get out of her expression as she looked embarrassed and covered her lower face with a blanket. "I-I know."

Theseus looked confused towards Mio, arching a brow as she tried to hide herself under the blanket before shaking his head. "Sometimes women can be so complicated and hard to understand..."

Mio glared at Theseus for a moment before huffing indignantly.

Timeskip

Nighttime fell across the town as everyone in the uni left the district.

Theseus however, remained close to a vending machine with the intention of getting a bottle of water for himself and Mio, a deep frown on his face.

What his aunt had told him about Mio's potential to be like her father had really gotten to him, more than he had let on when he had been around the redhead. Of course, he'd like to imagine that she would never become anything like her father, the original Satan, but he can't shake off the feeling that he might be wrong, that soon one day she'll change and become the very thing that she had been striving to avoid becoming.

Images of Mio smiling bashfully at him flowed through his mind in a series of flashing images, as well as images of her in the hospital bed blushing, the needy looks she gave him whenever she felt vulnerable… all of them flowed through his mind, making his lips tighten into a grimace.

Not even a month in and already he had somewhat lost his detached stance towards her.

Aunt Chisato was right, this was indeed a difficult decision to make, he realized, whether he would stain her blood on his hand or let the world fall into chaos.

As he got the bottle from the vending machine, there seemed to be a sudden blackout throughout the university as he raised his eyebrow in confusion and looked around.

Suddenly figures started to quietly approach Theseus without making any sound, they only had a hooded black cloak covering themselves. They were about to launch themself towards Theseus with their mouths open, ready to devour him without noticing.

Just when they were about to sink their teeth into his flesh however, Theseus let out a small smirk before raising his water bottle as it's contents exploded outward.

SHING!

SHING!

SHING!

"RAAAAHHH!" they each collectively screamed in pain, having been stabbed by a bunch of frozen spikes before Theseus pulled out his Bolt Pistol, aimed at them and fired.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

He blasted a few of their body and head as all of them to kingdom come with that much ease, lowering the Bolt Pistol afterward as he watched their blood travel down the spikes and onto the floor. "Hmph, it seems they're getting a bit bolder now." he said before snapping his fingers as he made the ground turn into a pool of mud, one which submerged their bodies beneath it before the pool reverted back to normal ground, making all traces of the supernatural disappear.

"Now that's done lets…..hold on, bolder?" he questioned himself as he tried to think of something before realizing something his aunt told him.

'Old hatred doesn't go away that easily.'

"?!"

He widened his eyes in horror at the impending dread and let out a scream. "Fuck! Scrier's Gaze!" he exclaimed while announcing his ability, even though he could use it without announcing it he didn't have time as he used his ability to search for Mio, but she wasn't in the hospital room. "Shit! Where is she?!" he said as he extended his senses, trying to find her before sensing she was at the rooftop with another type of energy that was about to be released. "Just for one minute I leave her alone and she's already in danger? Why does my life have to be hard?" He questioned himself in a bit of frustration before breaking off into a sprint.

Later on, Theseus soon found himself in a clear area as he looked around to see if there was anybody there. The coast was clear as he crouched down for a minute before jumping to the air with his air ability to fly. He flew upside the school building by manipulating the wind currents to create the lift he'd need, and saw her was about to engage in a fight with someone whom he INSTANTLY recognized:

The hero clan, Yuki.

'The FUCK!? How did she get here without me knowing?! Shit, I must've forgotten to ask Meredith about putting sensory barriers around the University! Fuck!'

Panic flooded his senses, causing Theseus to act immediately. He flew higher to the sky before dropping down like a bullet towards the uni rooftop, taking out his Trident as he was on time to block Yuki's attack. An attack she had launched at Mio who had made to defend herself.

BOOM!

"What the?!"

"Huh?! Could it be?"

Yuki was surprised at the incoming defense as the smoke covered the figure before it slowly dispatched as it revealed a trident, a pair of green slitted shark eyes, and an expression that looked like when a shark was bothered too much. "It seems that you heroes are always the one who starts a conflict."

"Theseus!" Mio yelled his name, her eyes enlarging whilst a wide, happy smile spread across her face.

Flashback

The calm night dominated the university, and a serene atmosphere dominated the hospital room that Mio currently slept soundly in. Her light snores and the gradual rising and falling of her chest were the sole sounds that occupied her room, adding to the tranquility of the place. Since Theseus had left after Mio had asked him if he could get them both some water to drink, feeling a bit thirsty, this tranquility had been the result…

Tranquility which would soon be broken by an unexpected and more importantly UNINVITED guest.

In an instant, the door to her room which Theseus had locked, same with the windows outside, slowly started to unlock itself. When it opened seconds later, it was revealed to be Yuki herself who had picked the lock with the tip of her large sword, though in addition to the sword her formal outfit had also been changed. She now wore a garb one would better associate with a hero: a navy blue leotard with a black collar and white skirt and a navy blue cape. Her arms had been covered by a pair of metallic, plate gauntlets that ran up to her shoulders, whilst her legs were covered by a pair of matching greeves that had low heels, a pair of black thigh-high stockings beneath them.

Essentially, she looked like she was on a mission… a mission which conveniently lay slumbering in her bed.

Part of her wondered where the Agent of Hellsing had gone off to, but she soon dismissed it as him having heeded her warnings and evicted the city, leaving the Descendant to her fate.

Slowly, Yuki approached the bedside whilst making not a single sound to keep her opponent unaware of the danger approaching her. Yuki's gaze remained as cool and collected as ever, even as her sword glinted menacingly in preparation for the horror that it would soon be committing under the will of its master.

For a moment, she stood by the bed and overlooked the occupant within who slept soundly, unaware of the presence in the room. As she gazed down at Mio's sleeping face, Yuki's eyes slightly narrowed as images of her and Theseus together appeared in her mind as much as she tried not to think about it, bringing out memories of… of a time which she wanted to forget as much as possible.

This act allowed her to harden her formerly wavering resolve, and raise her sword high. Her sword glinted once again just like how her eyes did, and in that moment she brought her sword down onto Mio's form with the intent to swiftly decapitate her…

BOOM!

Unfortunately, just as the blade neared her skin Mio's eyes shot open to reveal glowing red irises, and in the following instance Yuki grunted when an abrupt energy wave exploded out of the redhead and blew her across the room. She quickly righted herself and landed in a kneeling position like the knights of old, before looking up with a steely cold gaze in her eyes…

One which got met by the fiery red gaze of one pissed-off Descendant.

"Didn't know you Hero Clan guys were so sneaky… to attack someone while they were sleeping." Mio stated calmly, gripping her fists tightly while standing in front of her bed while her body flared its crimson aura brightly. Her hair fluttered about like rippling ocean waves while a strong presence swept across the room, turning the air heavy and making it difficult to breathe for even Yuki.

Though she did a damn good job at hiding how she felt right now, especially the irksome notion that she had failed her assasination. All the while, Yuki coldly glared right back at Mio as she slowly stood up straight. "I see you're developing your power…" she remarked calmly, flaring her own energy in response to give her some more breathing room. Weighing her options and judging that this place wasn't fit for what she had to do now, Yuki turned away from Mio whilst saying the following words. "Follow me. We will settle this somewhere more optimal for the both of us."

Mio narrowed her eyes at this information, but looked around herself and soon realized Yuki's intentions. This room didn't have the conditions needed for a full-scale battle, plus it was the nurse's room, so the Nurse wouldn't appreciate it being destroyed when she came here tomorrow, so to that end Mio calmly walked on after Yuki who had left the room, her fists clenched the whole time.

It had been all she could do to keep her power under control for the moment.

They walked through the halls of the school while keeping their guard in place when they would attack anytime soon. They climbed the stairs, finally entered the rooftop as they walked the center of the roof and made a standoff, a few feet away from each other as they both stared at each other.

They were silent for a few minutes before Mio was the first to speak. "So what do you mean by settle? If it's talking then it would be useless after what you tried to do." Mio said as she narrowed her eyes at Yuki.

"You should have heard from the subordinate of Hellsing. You know why I'm here at this school." Yuki responded.

"Yes, I've heard from Theseus himself. I know what the Hero Clan is, they produced many heroes from the legends. It seems over the years, they have sunk so low." Mio spat vehemently.

Yuki hardened her gaze towards Satan's daughter as she slowly raised her sword while speaking "That comes from the descendent of the vile being." Yuki countered Mio as she too hardened her gaze on Yuki. "With you around, it would be best for you to have two options, leave this realm and never come back, or die so the world will be better without the original devil itself. The hellsing must've despised your presence over them." she said as she pointed her sword towards Mio with her magic flaring out.

Mio rolled her eyes on that insult. "You are wrong with one part." she pointed her finger towards Yuki as she furrowed her brows at Mio. "The Hellsing doesn't actually hate me or despise me just because I'm related to him. Even if they know the whole truth, they would still protect me." she then smiled as she mentally wandered over to the memory of Theseus as he had his bad boy smirk aimed towards her. "Especially him."

Yuki stayed silent as she lowered her head, her eyes becoming hidden behind her hair. She lowered her sword and stayed at that position before raising her head that showed a calm fury on her face. "I see. Then it would be best if you were to die now." She leapt towards Mio as she was about to project a magic barrier to block her attack...

Flashback end

Theseus then made a fist as he pulled it back before launching it towards Yuki, hitting her in the face which made her fly back away from him before hitting at the rooftop floor opposite them. He then put his Trident at his shoulder gangster-style while Yuki put her hand on her face before getting up as she glared at Theseus.

"Seems you didn't listen to your own advice, 'hero'. Haven't you heard the term don't poke the bear? Because now you're starting to make it angrier." he spat, his eyes burning with fury and bloodlust while he grinned like a shark.

On her end of things, Yuki made a stance in preparation to fight against the Shark King. Though, if she were honest she had anticipated that this fight would have happened anyways, it was one of those inevitabilities considering the Shark King's temperament. A temperament shared by the majority of the brutal Hellsing Faction. "I told you to not involve yourself with Satan's descendent. Don't you know how much destruction he caused throughout the world?" Even so, she still questioned him about his intentions of staying around that… thing.

That thing which irked her for more than one reason.

Over on his side of things, Theseus narrowed his eyes at Yuki. His own worries about whether Mio's alignment would shift on a dime vanished from his mind for the most part. Mostly because he had found somewhat of an answer to those said questions. "Guess she was right about something, old hatred cannot be dispelled. Let me tell you three things. One." he began to say, raising a single index finger. "I don't care about who she is or what lineage she belongs to. She can make her own choices in life. Two." He raised his middle finger. "She's not the same as that thing. Just because she has its blood doesn't mean she should be executed, because if you think the opposite then you people are both hypocrites and idiots. You can't tell the difference between which is which, she is not born to bear Satan's sin."

Taking a deep breath, Theseus raised his ring finger before spouting the third reason and to him, the most important one of all. "And three, you all say you don't want calamity to befall humans like what Satan did, but have you not watched her life? Have you not seen how she acts? She's just been a normal girl this whole time, so if you keep demonizing her, treating her like crap and giving her all the more reason TO cause calamity, you're simply condemning yourselves. You know what, I take it back, you are ALREADY being hypocrites."

His words sent the whole rooftop into a deafening silence, both girls being rendered speechless by his declarations yet they had two different effects. For the girl behind him, Mio gazed at Theseus back, her hair covering her eyes before a tear fell from her face. What Theseus had said had been things which she had been thinking herself deep inside for years now, especially that last one. It truly felt like for the first time someone other than Maria who had been beside her had stood up for her, to which words couldn't fully describe how touched she felt by Theseus' words, a joyful smile dorming on her face.

As for Yuki, like the ice queen she looked to be, she still remained unconvinced as she prepared to launch herself at Theseus, readying her sword and assuming a samurai-like stance. "Your words don't convince me Hellsing. No matter what, she's still dangerous to live." She declared, as if his words had flown into one ear and out the other with her.

Something which both irked the male and relieved him at the same time. Irked because he HATED being ignored since he saw it as rude, and relieved because he finally got the chance to show this bitch why he was called the Shark King. "Then like what I said before, we'll see who comes out on top." Theseus stated bluntly, his lips widening into a crazed grin as he spun his Trident like a helicopter above his head, before swinging it diagonally downward and making a stance.

The moment he did that, Yuki quickly took to the offensive by closing the distance between them, both hands on her sword which she had angled for a two-handed upward slice. One which Theseus mentally calculated the trajectory of and pivoted to the right to avoid it when it was swung upwards. Yuki would have gone for a smack to the hilt with her sword's hilt, but Theseus beat her to it by striking the back of her calves with his Trident's rear end, the force applied being enough to cause her to gasp and fall onto one knee.

Taking the opportunity presented before him, Theseus raised his Trident and brought it down on Yuki's head with the intent to split it wide open. The Trident's blade had also been coated with a coat of water shaped like it's blade to enhance cutting efficiency, however Yuki promptly recovered and blocked the blow by raising her sword and holding it horizontally above her head, creating a resounding CLANG sound.

FWOOSH!

A bunch of watery streams erupted from the collision, droplets falling onto the Hero Clan warrior before she angled her weapon to a diagonal weapon to slide it down and away from her, allowing her to get to her feet as well as pivot into a reverse striking with her sword's pommel towards Theseus's left temple. Right before the blade could strike his flesh however, Theseus twirled his Trident like a helicopter blade, forcing Yuki to pull back and then take several steps backwards to avoid the following diagonal slash.

Afterwards, Yuki prepared her defence against Theseus's counteroffensive she observed from his bodily movements, predicting that he would strike with a rapid series of thrusts thus positioning her body to respond accordingly. However, when he attacked he did attack with a thrust… towards the ground, catching Yuki by surprise as Theseus vaulted into the air thanks to using his Trident as a support pole and launched a double drop kick at her, planting both legs into her chest and sending her sliding backwards across the rooftop due to the force applied.

'Tch, he really is as strong as they say he is…!' she thought to herself when she finally halted her movement. 'That strike didn't have his full power, I bet, but he still sent me this far… he probably could have gone further but he didn't-'

"?!"

Before she could wonder on why he hadn't knocked her off the rooftop as it would have assured her inability to attack Mio, Yuki's eyes widened when the male swung hi sTrident horizontally, the water coating his blade spitting out a bunch of spikes which froze into icicles in mid air, lethally sharp-looking ones too.

Immediately knowing the danger if they could hit her, Yuki bent her body backwards into a flip right at the last second, performing a back flip as well as dodging the icicles generated by Theseus. Once she righted herself again, Yuki looked to her opponent and noticed how he had already swung his Trident upwards, launching a long line of water across the ground that froze over seconds away from him, resulting in a line of icicles headed her way.

This time, she dodged by jumping to the side and rolled across the ground, getting back to her feet before dashing off in a burst of speed.

Briefly being surprised by the speed this lady had, Theseus's eyes briefly widened before he sensed bloodlust coming from his left and promptly jumped into the air. This allowed him to avoid a horizontal slash that would have decapitated him, before he swung his Trident diagonally and launched more icicles at her. Icicles which Yuki promptly jumped back to dodge…

Right where he wanted her.

"?!"

All of a sudden, while she was in the apex of her jump Yuki suddenly gasped when her surroundings morphed, becoming that of the ocean depths with countless sharks swimming around and some eyeing her like she were a sack of meat. Shock coursed through her body at the sight, before she soon narrowed her eyes as the answer came to her. 'Ah, I see… an illusion projected through sheer bloodlust alone… and the vividness behind it to rival reality itself…' Seeing this, part of her now started to doubt the fact that Mio was the most dangerous one of the two.

Regardless, she had a mission here and thus, she would see it through.

To that end, Yuki gritted her teeth as she put her sword on an unarmored section of her body and dragged the blade across it, sharply cutting into it. The brief flash of pain ripped through her senses, but it also served to set her free from the illusion by making her mind focus on the pain instead of the bloodlust Theseus had hit her with. This resulted in her surroundings reverting to normal, only… to find herself sprawled on the ground with Theseus's Trident inches away from impaling her in the abdomen.

"?!"

Quickly, Yuki put herself into a one-handed handstand to avoid the blow, Theseus's Trident stabbing into the rooftop beside her. She then hooked her legs around his neck and threw him behind her, launching the male away from her position, though she continued her retaliation by coiling her balancing arm like a spring before pushing upwards, launching herself into the air after him. She spun into a twisting form that fell down towards the male, with her sword poised for a reverse horizontal slash towards Theseus's neck, intending on decapitating him and ending the fight quickly.

Unfortunately for her, Theseus landed on all fours and slid to a halt, raising his head to see her attack coming. His eyes narrowed sharply, made all the more threatening by their currently slitted states before he struck back with his Trident, the two weapons clashing against one another which deadlocked their wielders together forcing the two into a heated staring contest as sparks flew from their weapons.

"You really do see humanity as a non-issue. For someone as brutish as you to protect a monster like-"

SPLAT!

"Guh!"

Before Yuki could comment about Theseus risking countless lives by protecting Mio, the male swiftly reached into his coat and pulled out his Bolt Pistol, firing a single shot right into Yuki's arm. This made her grip on her blade get weakened by a single hand, which recoiled backwards from the impact the close-range bullet, but that wasn't all. No, Theseus continued by smacking Yuki upside the head with his Gun's barrel before twisting a full 360 degrees and striking downwards with his Trident's rear end, opting to use blunt force trauma to smash her into the ground.

One could say he was LITERALLY beating the shit out of her.

Once she hit the ground with a sharp gasp, Theseus wasted no time in using one of his mental abilities [Iron Arm] on his own legs, turning them into more metallic versions of themselves that he then used to kick Yuki right in the stomach with as much force as he could muster, launching the girl flying into the air with saliva and blood erupting from her mouth as she did so. Something which the male exploited by activating both his hydrokinesis and his Zenith Tempest Sacred Gear to exert his control over the enemy's exported liquids. He did this by turning them into sharp-looking needles, ones which he then launched mentally at his opponent as she landed on the rooftop floor.

Yuki, once more proving her endurance, lifted open an eye to witness this attack and quickly performed a side flip, ignoring the sharp spikes of pain her body felt as a result of that kick. She had to get this battle back into her favor quickly, it was quickly becoming apparent that the Shark King was much more of a dangerous opponent than she had initially been led to assume. He hadn't shown all his abilities yet but from what she could tell it seemed that he had WAY more cards to play, far too many for her to counter without backup. As much as her warrior pride raged at her for admitting that last fact, it was impossible for her to ignore given the state her body was in, and she doubted he would let her apply healing magic to her injuries either.

She would have to get some distance and then…

BOOM!

"?!"

Her eyes shot open wide after reflexively performing another backflip, avoiding Theseus's Trident that he had apparently thrown at her like a Javelin. The weapon stabbed into the ground behind her with enough force to cause a small crater to form, his arms having been enhanced via [Iron Arm] the same way that his legs (now normal) had been. After briefly glancing at the weapon impaled in the ground behind her, Yuki looked back at Theseus who had already launched his second offensive by firing multiple rounds from that oversized pistol he possessed.

BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!

3 rounds flew at her, and after predicting their line of fire Yuki got on all fours just seconds before they would have hit, letting them sail harmlessly overhead. 'That Pistol… it seems to fire rounds much like that of a cannon or something…' she mused mentally as she stood up, glaring at Theseus heartedly, positioning her sword in her samurai-like stance. 'I'll have to watch out, then close the distance between us and strike while he lacks his we-'

SQUELCH!

"Gah!"

Sadly, Theseus hadn't finished his offensive yet since, through the use of his [Assail] ability, Theseus had telepathically lifted his Trident out of the ground, twisted it to point it at Yuki...then hurled so that the weapon would stab her right in the back of her left leg. This caused her to gasp and fall onto one knee, shock and pain plastered all over her face as she slowly reached behind her to feel the object that had impaled her. "Im...Impossible…"

WHAM!

"Not so much, bich."

"GAH!"

A shrill cry escaped her when Theseus, having closed the distance between them using [Warp Speed], spun into a roundhouse kick that slammed with an [Iron arm] enhanced force right into the side of her head, nearly taking it clean off had he not held back a little. Instead, Yuki got sent flying away from him, sliding across the ground while his Trident got telepathically dislodged from her wound, floating beside its rightful master.

Said master gripped its shaft tightly as he started making his way towards her, arms and legs now normal thanks to his psychic abilities no longer being active. He held his Trident in one hand whilst the other got pocketed inside his coat, the Trident being twirled like a wheel between his middle, index and ring fingers creating a constant whistling sound while he leisurely walked.

Seeing him slowly approaching her with an aura of bloodlust radiating from him like a living flame, Yuki struggled to even get up thanks to the injury to her thigh, the place she had been hit by his Trident. She tried her best to ignore her wounds but the more she tried, the more the wound would open up. She gritted her teeth in pain, but before she fully stood up, she saw the Trident's three tips pointed towards her face as Theseus looked on calmly at this. He had no wounds on himself or any signs of injuries, as expected from the student of the no life king. "You know, I'm almost out of mercy for you, girl. But you gave me a good fight, almost."

At this point, the girl lost the ability to remain standing and fell onto her sole good leg, making it look like she was kneeling submissively towards him which for a Hero Clan warrior like her, may as well be a high degree of humiliation. Yuki struggled to even say something but no words came out of her mouth as Theseus continued to talk. "And for that reason, I'll act merciful to you. I'll let you go for now, since even if I kill you, sir Integra will have a fit with me, so don't waste it." With that said, he turned his back to Yuki and proceeded to walk back to the observing Mio, seemingly not giving her the death of a warrior or even acknowledging her existence.

As one might expect, such treatment made her become angry and furious as she had enough strength to stand up and speak towards Theseus. "Wh-why do you even….care for that….demon spawn? She'll…. Bring misery upon… everyone. She's….. Just using you….for her….own sick…...pleasure! Why do you even still protect her if you know what she will become?! Why do you even still love her?!"

Now THAT made Theseus stop like a record scratch as both Mio and Theseus processed what she just said. On one hand, Mio started to blush madly as steam shot out of her ears before putting her hands on her face. "L-l-l-l-l-l-love?!" she screeched loudly in embarrassment.

On the other hand, Theseus twitched his eyebrows in annoyance before slowly turning back to the 'hero' "Where the fuck did you even get…..you know what forget it." he put his palm forward as if stopping a car or the matter as he stabbed his trident to the ground before cracking his knuckles. "You just ordered a special delivery from the fish shop, a knuckle sandwich. I'm ready to deliver it, hero!" he said as he cracked every inch of his knuckle bones before going towards Yuki who weakly prepared for another fight(or a beat down)...

...

"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

All of a sudden, right before Theseus could dish out a well-deserved beatdown on Yuki a massive shriek filled the air. A shriek so loud that it sounded like a thousand human screams at once, causing both fighters to look around to find the source while Mio shrieked as well, covering her ears to try and block it out to no avail.

Seconds later, a massive, as in a MASSIVE black figure leapt up from the side of the rooftop right behind Yuki, streaking across it and batting her aside with one of its appendages as if to say 'MOVE BITCH, GET OUT THE WAY, BITCH!'. It elected a cry of pain from the Hero Clan warrior whilst a surprised grunt escaped Theseus who blocked a sudden slash to his midsection with his Trident's shaft.

"What?! What the-?!" Theseus shouted as he looked up, the two of them sliding across the rooftop only to widen his eyes at what he saw. His face practically screamed a mix of shock and disbelief as he laid eyes on something he never thought he'd see for a long, LONG ass time: A massive, scorpion-like insect, with a series of segmented body sections and 30 pairs of legs, terminating in a long tail with a poisonous-looking barb, which curved forward over the creature's back. The whole thing looked to have reached up to thirty metres in length, reaching the size of a small land train, and for the weapons it was currently striking at him with the ferocity and speed of a cheetah with were two grossly enlarged scorpion claws.

'A… Catachan Devil! But what is-?!' Theseus began to think until he noticed several things about this particular creature from the Catachan Forest. One such thing was the various scars across its body in places that had looked to have been once cut by something sharp, like a blade. Such scars littered its body like they were marks of pride for this creature, with its claws having scratches across their frames while a single scar ran over its right eye, though it could still see through it apparently.

Mio looks scared at the sight of the Catachan devil as she shakily points it. "W-what is that thing?!"

"It's a Catachan devil from the realm of the Catachan, it's normally with a group of them but one is deadly enough to even tear a high class with ease. But how it got here…...I don't have any ideas." Theseus answered Mio as he pushed energy into his arms to break their deadlock, then jumped to the side, landing far from the beast before making a stance as the Catachan devil growled at Theseus. "How I know about them, well lets just say I've lived in that dimension for a half a year, get behind me Mio, things are about to intensify." Mio did so as she hid behind Theseus' back as the Catachan devil saw this as a sign of hostility before screeching at them.

"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

It ran towards Theseus as he was about to jump at the creature with experience on how to deal with them.

Just before they could clash however, a binding light stopped the Catachan devil before forming into a cage. The Catachan devil slammed the light cage hard as it was in a trance before noticing it was trapped as it furiously tried to beat the light bars, trying to break them.

The duo was confused at this sudden act just before they heard a familiar voice. "I really need to keep a check on you Theseus. First you say it would take a while to recover and the next moment you are already in a dilemma!" Meredith exclaimed exasperatedly, a hand on her forehead as if expecting an incoming headache, she put her hand away and looked at the situation. "You were lucky I came to check on the both of you."

"Oi, don't blame me Meredith. I did not start this conflict, she did." he pointed to Yuki as if he was putting the blame on someone else before looking at the struggling Catachan Devil. "And as for the other….. I don't have any ideas on how it got here."

"Ugh, now I know how Sir Integra feels when she's dealing with his shit." she muttered in frustration, now understanding just how her mentor felt when she was dealing with stuff like this for years.

Mio looked apologetic at this as she attempted to calm Meredith. "We're sorry about this Ms Meredith, I'm the one who is the cause of this."

"It's not your fault Mio and please call me Meredith." she assured Mio as she waved it off. "As for the other." she looks at the Catachan devil with furrowed brows of confusion. "We'll have to figure it out at the base. In the meantime" she clicked her finger, conjuring a magic circle near her before making the light cage float. She also gestured Theseus at Yuki as he got the message, he picked her up like a sack of potatoes. "I'll have to make a call to Sir Integra about the Hero Clan, I see that she has gone too far hasn't she?" she asked Theseus as he nodded his face, including Mio with a hardened gaze at Yuki's now unconscious state, the girl having lost her battle to remain awake in the beginning of Theseus's fight.

"You can say that." Theseus replied to her, dismissing his Trident and pocketing his hands in his coat.

Meredith nodded her head before heading to the magic circle.

"We'll have to discuss this more with Sir Integra." she said to them as she entered the magic circle as she was followed by Theseus and Mio as they entered the circle.

When they entered the magic circle, it disappeared leaving no traces behind, but there was one who was standing on top of the rooftop building as he was looking with interest.

"Hmmmmm, interesting." a man's voice said as he was dressed in a formal black suit with white accents, a white dress shirt with a black bow tie and boots. He wore a white mask with gold designs on it. There was no expression shown on his face but behind that mask lies a smirk as he said. "Looks like things are starting to take place. The more the Shark king remains here, the more pieces are starting to move." he said before walking back as he disappeared as if he was never there before.

AN:

Hi, new chap done and Theseus laid the smack on Yuki for her actions against Mio. Lets just say things aren't over for her, either. You wanna know then stay tuned.

PEACE OUT!

Phew! Man this was a hard one to do!... my name is darklord bringing you another chapter of the series! Now if you notice Yuki is almost the same as her canon one but different, because something happened to her in her childhood which made her change herself, I won't be telling you it would be spoilers if we did. Also Theseus did not show any tears to Chisato because he acted like Jotaro when it comes to emotional reunions. Alright thank you for reading our story, be sure to leave a review if you want and I'll see you next time!

GOOD LUCK!
