The sky was dark, but not completely dark signifying the passing of day and the beginning of the night's dominion. The skies remained covered with clouds that dotted it's vast space, yet slowly out from some of those clouds came several small snowflakes. These Snowflakes started from a small amount, before they gradually increased in number to become a light snowfall.
The snow showed itself to be a sign of the winter that was soon to be arriving, not to mention that it had been snowing for the past two weeks. The snowfall was accompanied by the bitter cold chills that bit through the air and reduced the temperature to below warm levels, which made the majority of the Kuoh townspeople stay indoors with their loved ones. Those who couldn't for whatever reason, had apparently seen the signs early and had thus prepared winter clothing like large fur coats to cover their person, some of those people being seen strolling through the streets on their way to their individual destinations.
Speaking of people wandering through the snow, someone can be seen trudging through it with heavy thuds coming from beneath them, leaving large footprints as they went through the streets like a drunkard having had too much at a pub. This person was a male, and he was without any warm jackets covering him Instead, all he had was his Gaiter covering his face alongside his Trench Coat while he kept his hands tucked inside his coat pockets to keep them warm, a light breeze blowing in front of him which made his coat's bottom end flutter slightly.
That person was Theseus.
Unlike the common person, the male didn't look too bothered by the cold, probably due to having gone through a training regimen in which he had to force himself to get used to such abnormally low temperatures for more effectiveness on missions in arctic areas. In fact when he was little, his father had once told him that the cold was never harmful weather that brought disaster to the world. Instead, it embraced people both children and adults alike, bringing happiness and joy when they played in it's vast white plains. If not, then it kept them indoors which led to people spending the day with their loved ones, a small flame of warmth within the ever-chilling cold.
Instead of all those feelings however, all the blond hair boy was feeling…..was wearniness, exhaustion and sadness.
After his little rant that destroyed the majority of that mountain, Theseus had lingered there for a time in silent contemplation thinking about how fucked he was as a person and how confused he felt when thinking of a reason why he had this fate forced upon him. He didn't try to immediately return to Hellsing since he doubted he'd be able to retain what little self control he had around THAT woman for what she had done to him back in that damn meeting. He hadn't even wanted to be anywhere CLOSE to his bros either since he knew that they would devolve into a heated argument which wouldn't do well for his current state, plus he feared that he would lose control over what little restraint he had and try to kill them.
Hence, why he stayed away for as long as he had to try and recuperate alone, something he had ample experience in albeit unwilling experience. Nonetheless during that time Theseus had stayed within that cave like a small animal seeking shelter from the elements and enemy predators, trying not to think about anything that made him angrier than he usually was. The destruction that dominated the surrounding landscape had been a good reminder of what happened when he got too pissed off, and Theseus didn't care enough to launch a repeat performance.
However, this couldn't last forever as much as Theseus wanted it to, and he knew it. There would come a time when he would HAVE to return to Hellsing lest the others got too worried and started sending out search parties for him, and at that point he doubted that he would be let off easily for slacking on his duties that he held no care for at the moment. Not only that, but he had promises to keep back in Kuoh like the one with Mio where he'd said he'd be there for her when she needed it. How could he keep his word if he were all the way out here sulking like a little wimp? Yeah, a bit of self-deprecation felt more than earned the more he thought about how much of a piece of shit he was, but Theseus couldn't muster enough non-existent fucks to give about it.
All of this culminated in him finally returning to Kuoh after that mult-week long hiatus from duties, which led him to this current point in time.
He walked through the snowy streets, ignoring his surroundings. The Shark King even ignored the projection of his younger self who was running ahead of him, playing in the snow whilst laughing uproariously as he jumped in the air before crashing to the snowy plains.
"Hey Jack! Best better hurry up before I take all the Christmas cookies!"
"Oh no you don't! Those cookies are mine, Kaito! I won't let you have one of them!"
The echoes of his past and his deceased friend sounded more like haunting jeers Theseus, reminding him of a life that he had once lived. He would've destroyed that illusion of his memories but he didn't, he was too exhausted and tired. All he wanted right now was to head home, back to Hellsing, forgetting his memories and his past. He never wanted to remember all of this, he truly wished God would just grant him this only wish, even though Theseus figured that'd be the very LAST thing such a deity would do.
Once he was close to his child self, he looked like a broken man, the exact opposite of the illusion of himself who had the look of innocence, happiness, and a lack of care about anything but his own happiness. Without stopping however, Theseus simply walked through the illusion which wavered before disappearing into nothingness, leaving a lasting impression as he continued on his silent stroll towards his destination.
Soon, he managed to arrive at the manor
Tapping into his telekinesis, Theseus telepathically opened the gate like an automatic machine which opened the way for him to head to the place's entrance. Without even waiting for it to fully open, the male strolled on through the gate and made a straight beeliner for his goal. He didn't want to even think about anything else at this point, all he wanted right now was one thing:
Sleep, that's all he needed right now.
Soon he opened the door where he saw Vali was laying down on the couch and Kuroh reading some kind of file which he does not take interest in. He was about to walk towards the stairs had it not been for Vali who had noticed his presence and promptly called out to him.
"I imagined you would finally show up eventually." Vali declared gruffly, sounding rather irritated if Theseus had bothered to check the tone he used on him. The silver haired hybrid then sat up from his previous position and glanced at the blond hair boy's back. "Then again I suppose nothing stops the Great White Shark."
"..."
Theseus stayed silent. Not answering Vali's comment, it didn't irritate Vali like it usually would however, as he waited for a response from Theseus but there was none that came from his mouth. To that, Vali decided to make another comment. "You missed quite a lot since you were gone, so you'll need to catch up before it gets messier. Things are already in shit right now."
Theseus knew what he was talking about and still rather not speak about it. It wouldn't be a matter of time until Sir Integra inflicts punishment on him for disobeying her student and almost attempting to kill her. He really doesn't want to hear it now, he's just too tired.
At this point, Kuroh took this chance to speak with Alucard's protege. "Mio was worried about you Theseus. She's taking a liking of you, you know? She spent a few days searching for you, seems off you made her quite attached to you."
Theseus almost uttered a word, a single word that he almost spoke when Kuroh told him about Mio's worry. His eyes had widened in surprise and his hands were twitching, almost making a fist, but before he could speak Theseus clenched his mouth tightly shut while grappling with the revelation he SO wasn't ready to hear.
Mio was worried about him? A psychopath, a student to the most dangerous vampire? A murderer?
No!
That wasn't good, not at all! He can't get attached to the redhead girl, he can't let personal feelings get in the way of the mission or let himself be distracted by her. Orders always come first, always. She couldn't be attached to him, she needed to find another person to be with. He was just a bodyguard, or if one wanted to be specific a teacher to her.
Kuroh glanced at Theseus for a while before sighing and shaking his head. "(SIGH) I sometimes wonder what's going on through your head Theseus. But in any case, can I at least get an answer from you about this…..where have you been for the past two weeks?"
"...I've been dealing…..with some issues…..personal reasons…..nothing else." Theseus finally gave his answer to Kuroh with a tired and exhausted tone. That was all he could give to Kuroh right now, under his currently exhausted state both physically and mentally he didn't or rather he couldn't give the full reason for his impromptu vanishing act. After all, it wasn't like he wanted to show his weakness in front of both Vali and Kuroh all he wanted to do was get some damn sleep… preferably sleep without any nightmares
Kuroh stared at Theseus back for a while debating whether he should try to dig the answers out of his friend, but from the tone Theseus was speaking in Kuroh decided to respect his bro's boundary. If it was his secret and his own personal matter, then he cannot indulge any further as he likely wasn't the only one who kept secrets, in fact Kuroh felt confident in assuming that they ALL held secrets.
Vali turned his head straight, looking away from Theseus with his back arching.
Seeing that there was finally an opening, Theseus took this chance to finally leave them.
However, just as he was about to leave, Vali made one last comment to him. "Theseus, whatever secrets you're hiding. Just so you know you are never alone."
Theseus stood silent from the declaration Vali made. He did not respond, instead he crossed his arms, making an X before falling backward and sinking into the ground like water.
Theseus appeared in his room in the basement as he was finally alone, in his room where he is. For a moment, he stayed still like a statue before his form began to tremble on the spot, his hands frantically twitching, while his hands wound up making fists. His mouth clenched tightly shut before he fell onto his knees when the last of their strength got used up, nevertheless he raised a fist…
BAM!
Before slamming that fist into the ground. His eyes began to water again before dripping from his face whilst Vali's words repeatedly reverberated like some kind of condemnation of him… even though he knew they meant the opposite. Nevertheless, a flame of warmth erupted inside of him for the first time since that meeting whilst the male wept. "! I…..I-I d-don't d-des-se-erve you Vali. I don't deserve you Kuroh. I don't deserve such companions like you. All you see is my facade, my public side. Hidden inside of me….is a coward, a fucking wimp." he cried, showing his weakness to himself as the water reflected the light beneath him. He didn't deserve this kind of friendship with his bro's, he had been with them for almost his entire life but no matter how much he can deny it he didn't show his complete trust in them. This, combined with the words of support they offered him including their willingness to leave well enough alone when necessary, made him feel like a piece of filth, a traitor, and a fool.
"Master." he called out to his teacher Alucard. "Please, help me. I don't know what to do. What …am I supposed to do?" With the feeling of loss and helplessness dominating his mind, Theseus looked up to his room's window and raised his free hand, reaching out to Alucard for the first time in his life even though he knew his master wasn't anywhere near him at the moment. Being back in the UK with Sir Integra.
All Theseus could do was cower and grovel in sadness.
Hellsing
In a dark room with almost zero light, a few accessories could be seen hanging about. But in the back of the room was a black coffin, and a single chair in the middle. Sitting on the chair was Alucard who looked unresponsive, holding a glass of crimson liquid in his right gloved hand. The man looked like he had hardly even moved for the duration of his time in this room, truly resembling a puppet hanging limply after being cut from it's strings by it's puppeteer.
Briefly, a bunch of slow and deliberate movements confirmed that the Vampire King was still alive with these movements being him raising his head which had been previously lowered before raising his glass to his lips. A look of slight pleasure crept across his face, his eyes briefly flashing with a crimson light whilst the liquid slid down the glass into his open mouth, showcasing his maw of sword-like fangs. It was only his self-control that stopped him from hanging his tongue out like a dog begging for treats, even though the look of twisted glee that eventually emerged would send even the most battle-hardened of warriors running for the hills.
Even though what was really going on was that the vampire was simply drinking wine, savoring the taste.
It was then during the height of his pleasurable activity, that all of a sudden he felt a slight stab of sadness and….worry.
Alucard narrowed his eyes at this sudden reaction he felt, no longer interested in his glass which he put down beside him. "What is this feeling?" he questioned himself, his features twisting into a slightly troubled expression. He felt something gripping on his hand, taking a glance he became surprised when he saw his right hand was clenching hard unconsciously as if something happened.
"Why am I feeling this? What sorcery have those sand dwellers done to me?" Alucard became furious at the thought of those pathetic, sniveling Egyptian magicians cursing them as a final act of throwing him the middle finger.
In his vast knowledge, the people of Egypt were known to be very into things like curses, more so than many of the other mythological factions out there. There were many tales of their gods cursing one another alongside mortals, as well as tales of some simply creating mass scale disasters through curses unless the humans helped solve their issues.
Regardless, his subconscious kept telling him that it was not the Egyptians, and it had been that moment when he was reminded of how he could detect curses from the abilities he gained from the magicians he absorbed their blood for a century. Closing his eyes, Alucard performed a scan of his internal workings to see if there were any curse on him and to his surprise, there were indeed no such curses on him.
That just begged the question, what the hell was this feeling? Where did it come from?
For a moment, Alucard remained confused as he struggled to identify the source. Several minutes later his eyes glinted with realization when the image of a certain lad appeared in his mind, and a whole new level of worry assaulted his senses. Alucard finally remembered that there was only one feeling he hadn't felt for a very, very long time: A teacher's worry.
Did something happen to Theseus? His protege? Was there anything that caused him to feel like this? Was he…killed?
"No it can't be." Alucard immediately shook his head in dismissal at the thought of Theseus meeting his end. There was no way in his undying life that he'd be convinced that his student would be killed by anyone, he taught him that better than that. Fearing death was just weakness and that feeling was his moment of weakness. He could never allow such a thing to distract him. Theseus cannot be easily killed, he knew that for certain.
"Tch, I'm getting too soft for the boy. He's not a baby to be taken care of constantly, nor is he a whiny little shit." he sneered at himself for becoming a soft person on the boy, thinking he is his favorite. There was no favorite in his eyes, there never was and there never would be. He was not his father, nor was he a caretaker of the boy, he was a vampire, the goddamn no-life king.
Sure, Theseus had potential but it won't be enough until he proved himself in Alucard's eyes.
Nevertheless, the feelings inside of him still persisted which definitely irked the Vampire King. Perhaps a little visit to those two vampire side factions the Tepes and Carmilla would be enough for him to get rid of those feelings.
SNAP!
SHING!
A swirl of darkness was conjured in front of him post Alucard raising his hand and clicking his fingers, the portal being teleportation spell to Romania. He got up from his seat and proceeded to open a mental link, to which he then informed the police girl of his intentions.
'Police girl.'
'E-eh! Oh master, what is it?'
'Tell Sir Integra I will be visiting the Tepes faction.'
'Huh? The Tepes faction? But why master, didn't you check before?'
'I believe there was something I missed when I wasn't looking deeply enough into their actions.' he replied bluntly. Alucard didn't feel the need to tell her the real reason on why he was paying a visit to his subordinate's factions. It wouldn't benefit her in any way and it really wasn't any of her business despite her being the first Vampire he had created in centuries.
'Ehhhh, a-alright master but when will you be back? Sir Integra would want to know when you will return? Because today Walter told me that Hellsing's sending someone in alongside the other one from that place, and it's going to be today.'
Ah, so that was today huh? A single grunt left his mouth after thinking that although his sire wouldn't be aware of that. Alucard didn't care for the specifics, but he did know that Integra was in talks with members of the Shinto Pantheon about something and he guessed this had something to do with it. He cared not, his days of leading a nation had been put behind him long ago. 'I will handle her myself when I get back, so just keep focusing on your training and duty. It will not matter when I will be back.'
'U-understood master. Sir Integra will not be happy about master disappearing in the middle of something important, she'll have my ass because of master.'
'I heard that Police girl.'
'EEEEKK! SORRY MASTER!'
"Hhahahahaha." Alucard chuckled as the police girl panicked at the thought of getting scolded by Sir Integra. She's still a greenhorn to Hellsing, but later on she'll get used to it eventually.
Now back to the matter at hand, so with that Alucard disconnected the mental link between them before pocketing his hands inside his coat. He also made sure his hat and glasses were perfectly strapped to his person before the Vampire King strolled towards the portal to Romania, stepping through it with the same level of casual motion as a Gangster would when going through the streets. The portal promptly closed behind him, leaving no trace of his presence in the room.
Timeskip Romania
"M-m-m-m-m-m-m-my lord!" A servant instantly dropped to the ground at the sight of Alucard appearing through the dark portal that generated itself on a nearby wall, and approaching them. They shook in a nervous fit, fear filling their beings at the sight of their great ancestor making yet another return to them.
"W-w-w-what brings y-y-y-you here?" another servant nervously asked the king of vampires, sweating bullets from the sheer presence that their ancestor exuded even if it wasn't his intention. All Vampires would fear this presence, and rightly so, for none so far had ever, EVER gotten close to the level of power that the progenitor of their race had reached.
The said Vampire King stared blankly at the quivering servants behind his glasses, keeping his expression neutral so they had no idea what he was thinking. It was something that he had picked up early into his life that hiding one's expression when they had a vicious reputation severely unnerved people, since they felt like they were trudging across minefields when talking to them."I want all of the Tepes Noble Leaders in the throne room at once. I do not need any excuse for what they are doing." Alucard ordered the servants
"A-at once my lord!" They quickly got up and scrambled to inform the aforementioned leaders that the great ancestor had arrived and wanted all of them to assemble before him at the throne room at once. There was no way that they wouldn't act like headless chickens given the scale and severity they felt at those orders. For multiple reasons.
Once they left Alucard alone, he stared at their retreating figures before snorting. "Hmph, what a bunch of wussies." he mocked the servants attitudes before shrinking down into his shadow like he was never there.
Elsewhere…
"My prince, my prince!" A servant burst into a large room where there was lots of medical equipment and mechanics. One could assume this to be some kind of laboratory because of this, and they'd not be that far off the mark.
In the middle of the laboratory, a figure could be seen standing before an operating table, about to pick up some tools before hearing the servant's call. Turning around with an annoyed look on his face, it was revealed to be a young man with a beautiful face like a doll, blonde hair with red eyes. He wore a one piece hazmat suit over his person, as if he didn't want what he wore underneath to get dirty. "What is it you incompetent fool? I was in the middle of an experiment." He ordered the servant with a harsh tone, not liking when the servant was interrupting something important.
Normally the servant would have been reduced to a quivering mess by this glare, but this time the servant dropped to the ground, kneeling to the prince. "Forgive me, Prince Marius. B-b-b-b-b-but i-i-i-i-i-its something important." The servant urgently confessed instead of collapsing in fear like normal.
This change went on to be dismissed by the 'prince', who scoffed before waving a hand to gesture the servant to raise their heads. "Well, what is it? It better be worth wasting my time talking to you."
"I-i-i-i-its(GULP) i-i-its." The servant struggled to say a word to Marius, who quickly grew annoyed by the lowly vampire's stuttering voice.
It didn't take him long to snap at the servant. "Hurry up and speak already you fool! Who is it, is it my father or is it lord Vladi-"
"IT'S LORD ALUCARD! THE GREAT ANCESTOR IS HERE! REQUESTING ALL NOBLE LEADERS AT THE THRONE ROOM!" Finally the servant shouted as hard as he could, yelling who it was that was requesting to meet with them. Also the reason why the servant was acting like a coward.
The reaction had been instantaneous. Instead of retaining his angry expression Marius instantly paled when the servant answered him. He too was shaking in fear as well, now understanding EXACTLY the reason the servant was acting like this.
"W-w-w-well, don't j-j-j-just stand there hand me a phoenix tear now!" he stuttered before ripping off his hazmat suit and getting his clothes from the other compartment, scrambling like a chicken.
"Y-yes my lord, but where can I find i-"
"In front of your third draw! Now hurry up and use it on her already!" Marius screamed at the servant who frantically went to where the phoenix tear was said to be located. He then just as quickly opened the set of drawers near the left wall that had been specified where the tear, slightly messing up the laboratory in the process. It would have made Marius furious at the mess he's causing in the laboratory under normal circumstances, 'normal' being the keyword. But it didn't matter because right now the no-life king was here all of a sudden and he needed to make sure everything was in order.
The servant got the tear and went to the operating table where there…where there was a young girl lying on the table with her gaze going towards the ceiling above, likely due to a combination of malnourishment and drugs. She appeared as a young woman with short blonde hair and red eyes, wearing a patient outfit covering her whole body but her expression showed no emotions, not one single bit. Signs of experiments were shown on the equipment tools, blood, open wounds, stitches, and scars on her arms, legs, and body.
While trying not to look at the subject, the servant opened the bottle and dropped the phoenix tear on her mouth. The effects happened an instant where the phoenix tear was restoring the injuries and wounds inflicted on Marius on his experiments
Marius dressed in his noble clothes, slapped her face hard which woke her up. But before she could comprehend what had happened the man went and roughly forced her to face him, allowing her to see the fury burning in his eyes. "Listen here you little shit, the true vampire is here so you better stay quiet during his stay." he spat, his eyes briefly flashing with an infernal glow. "When he gazes at you, you better not say a word to him at all. If you do then when he leaves, you already know what will happen."
In stark contrast to the Vampire, the girl did not show any emotion on her face as if she wasn't even fazed by his threat. Marius continues his speech. "So get up and get dressed, be at the throne room in 30 seconds. IF I don't find you there…..then you'll have the honor of facing the vampire lord himself." His threat (read: PROMISE) delivered, he turned around and briskly walked out of the laboratory, leaving the girl alone. She looked like she was processing what Marius said to her before getting off the table and walking on over to another room robotically, obeying what Marius had told her.
In the throne room, Alucard himself sat atop the throne like he owned it from the very beginning with his legs crossed and hands interlocked. The man's form radiated a crimson, imposing aura while despite being covered by his glasses his vampiric eyes pierced through like twin daggers. His neutral poker face remained as strong as ever, concealing his thoughts while despite him not looking the part he still had the presence of a leader, one who commanded the attention of everyone in the room.
Before him, a group of vampires were kneeling down on the ground, honoring the No-life king. Each of them looked well-dressed, looked like they made thousands upon thousands in funding, and likely had huge influences in their own right. Therefore, to see such people submitting to someone else spoke volumes about how much they paled in comparison to the one they were bowing to.
All of them looked (rather understandably) very, very nervous about the sudden visit of their king, especially since it hadn't been that long since his last one. They know that under normal circumstances he doesn't have a reason to visit their faction unless it's to check on them… or taste their regular wine or the blood they keep as an offering to their progenitor.
Alucard stood quiet for several minutes, making the vampires more nervous before he finally spoke. "Well now, it seems all of you are acting like children instead of adults. Get up already and don't make me waste my time coming to Romania." he declared, rolling his eyes behind his glasses at the wimpiness that was on display before him.
In an instant all of the vampires got up from the ground, although they soon wished they hadn't when they faced Alucard's glowing red eyes that pierced through their very souls, stripping them down to their cores.
Soon enough all the vampires stayed quiet for a moment until one of them attempted to speak. "M-my lord…h-have you come to check o-on y-your su-"
BANG!
"Subjects? Hah! Since when did you have the gall to have me call you subjects? My my, it seems all of you are getting bolder each century." Alucard interrupted the vampire by shooting his head clean, killing him. The noble vampire body stood for a while before it slowly dropped to the ground, blood started to spill across it.
The vampires did not react or did they retaliate. Alucard was showing his dominance to them, a tyrant on the vampire kind species. They all know even if they do not know or mean to dishonor, disobey the king he just kills them out of amusement… either that, or just because he was bored.
A servant arrived at the throne where Alucard is, holding a bottle of wine which she tried so hard not to shake from her trembling, fearful of being too close towards their ancestor. Alucard without saying his order brought his cup up, the maid responding by lowering the wine and filling up the glass cup. When it's done Alucard drank the wine for a second before putting the cup down. He ignored the maid beside him, giving her mercy. She saw this as a chance to quickly move away from Alucard.
Just as she was about to move, however…
"Did I say you could leave, girl?" the maid froze at his tone. In her terror, she realized what she has done, just before she could plea with Alucard a swarm of darkness envelops her entire body and crushed her.
SPLAT!
Wordlessly Alucard commanded the shadow to crush her body, making blood spill all over the carpet. The vampires were used to this kind of antics Alucard was doing, but nevertheless they could never get over the nervousness that was born from the possibility of one of them being next.
Alucard slid his fingers around the glass cup top before he spoke. "Now with the distraction out of the way, I want to know why is it that there was an increased amount of vampires wandering about like lost little lambs? Does anyone have an answer to that question?" He questioned the male noble vampires, though he briefly glanced at them with a stare that told them it was more of a demand than anything. Considering who these men were, it'd be stupid not to query them on if they knew about why there was a sudden increase in vampires.
In response to this as well as what had happened to two of their kin just now, the vampires' nervousness increased with what the living darkness had said to them. Knowing how tyrannical their ancestor was whenever he asked for something it was usually in their best interest to get it for him. Lest they experience a mass decrease in numbers, something which they REALLY didn't need right now considering their political situation.
One of them stepped forward but did not speak to the king of vampires for a moment. Alucard looked at the figure who looked like Marius but older along with a blond goatee around his mouth. Alucard looked at this vampire before waving his hand, allowing him to explain. "My lord, we have already given you the proof of us not being involved with those vampires. We do not interfere with human affairs." he explained, hoping that it would please the vampire lord. And making sure they do not cause any problems which would drive them to extinction.
Unfortunately, his thoughts were wrong when Alucard spoke. "Oh? Then tell me this Avram, thanks to some expeditions funded by Hellsing, I found the reason why there were vampire attacks. They were from a familiar organization you would probably know as millennium."
"?!"
A spark of surprise and shock promptly spread across the vampire nobles when Alucard said the name 'Millennium'. Millennium was a name that many of those in the supernatural criminal underworld knew of, but only the bare basics. Despite their secrecy, they had carved a reputation of being one of the most powerful and dangerous organizations there was in the world. During WW2, they had made an entire army of artificial vampires with the combination of magic, alchemy and science. Thanks to pouring so many of their resources, they were able to make their grand project power scaling of the ultimate class. This type of army forces would've devastated the entire war against the Americans, Soviets and British army, even if the supernatural world itself had it not been for Alucard and Walter destroying the organization.
It was meant to be a myth for the rest of time, a legend about the Nazis saying something about vampire-like features that the old veterans would say to the younger generation.
But now it's no longer a myth.
Avram Tepes widened his eyes before he attempted to explain. "M-my lord, I can assure you we have nothing to do with them, M-Millennium! This is the first time I a-"
"Silence."
A deep, dark yet malicious voice echoed throughout the throne room. Avram froze from that powerful command, promptly shutting his mouth lest he say anything else that earned the Vampire King's ire.
It had been a no-brainer that the source of the command had been one irked Alucard.
Speaking of said Vampire, Alucard slowly got up from his throne before he tossed his glass to the side uncaringly. The sounds of it shattering against the floor beneath him seemed damn silent compared to the steps he took when he went and walked towards Avram, shadows enveloping his face leaving his eyes to glow in the darkness. Every step Alucard took sounded more like that of how many seconds the vampire had left to live.
Eventually, the Vampire King stopped in front of Avram who now looked like a quivering mess with how much he was sweating right now. Dude looked like a damn waterfall, which only contributed to the disgust Alucard felt towards him. "I do not want to listen to any of your lies, scum. Do remember what has happened to your grandfather when he attempted to speak against me." He stated calmly, yet the underlying anger he exuded could ironically be heard as clear as day.
Avram of course remembered that day all too well, no matter how much he may wished he couldn't. He would never be able to forget that time when his grandfather thought he could overthrow Alucard with an army of controlled species of human mercenaries that took him hundreds of years to build, matching against even the armies of the modern world. Back then, his grandfather had thought that with this army, he was unstoppable, invincible. He arrogantly proclaimed he will take the title of the true vampire in front of Alucard. Even he and his father thought he could beat Alucard.
But he was wrong. So wrong.
Under the command of his master, Alucard utterly destroyed and slaughtered the human armies thanks to releasing his restriction level…..0. The full power of the No-life king. Ever since that day and personally witnessing the slaughter Avram had been lucky to even survive all of that since then, trying to avoid the wrath of his ancestor or else he would join the bloodbath.
Now…he's not even sure if he would live another day of his life.
Having had enough of looking Avram over, Alucard shifted his gaze from the pathetic king towards the rest of the Vampires. They all flinched at his gaze that he cast upon them… all before pausing for a moment when something caught his attention: one particular vampire who did not have fear written all over its face like some kind of wussy who can't defend themselves. This Vampire looked to be a young blonde haired, red eyed girl wearing clothes hinting that she had arrived from a hospital or something, a rare sight for meetings like these.
"Hmmm? What's this?" Alucard muttered his voice before he walked towards the girl. Marius suddenly had a bad feeling about this as he attempted to get close to her, but before he could do anything Alucard had already stopped in front of her. The Vampire quickly broke into fearful sweating and for the first time in a long while, he prayed to every god to listen to his pleas.
But there was no god-honoring a vampire's prayer.
Unaware of what Marius was thinking, Alucard got in front of the girl who still does not show one ounce of fear on her face as she looks up at Alucard's figure. Alucard raised an eyebrow before he spoke. "What an interesting and curious site to see here." he complimented on the young vampire who seems to be not afraid of his presence which amuse him a bit. From a woman obviously. "You are not like those other vampires who act like whiny little bitches. What is your name, girl?"
The girl was silent for a moment, she did not instantly answer the ancestor himself which intrigued him. Most of the vampire children he met were obviously not afraid of him because of their childish nature, he'll give them that, but when they grow up they'll be like sniveling cowards from today the vampires are acting.
The girl shifted his gaze from him towards Marius who gestured, swiping his neck, remembering the threat he had made reminded her, but when he looked up, she saw Alucard followed her gaze, shadow enveloping him again, eyes glowing which froze Marius in the spot. He turned white and pale at the Vampire King's gaze.
The girl considered her options one last time before she made her decision. "It's… Valerie, Valerie Tepes… my lord." she answered him emotionlessly.
Alucard furrowed his brow behind his glasses, rather confused by her emotionless tone when she spoke. This was strange, how could someone like this girl be so without emotion? Especially when around HIM? He knew for a fact that ALL vampires always shit in their pants or fainted when they were around him.
It didn't take long for the Vampire King to shake his head and dismiss it. It didn't matter what the Tepes were doing and was about to continue his action not before he had this one simple question and curiosity he had in his head. Deciding to go with 'curiosity kills the cat' he went and asked her again. "May I ask whose daughter you are?"
"She's my own, honorable ancestor." hearing Avram's voice, Alucard turned around to look at the male vampire he was talking to a moment ago. "She's my daughter, my lord." he answered again, his voice tight and measured.
"Interesting, your daughter, is that correct?"
"Yes my lord, she is my fifth born." Alucard slides his hand on Valerie's neck which she shivered at his touch. Despite this, she didn't stop his actions, unknown to her or him he slid his finger on the blood that wasn't cleaned up on her dress.
Alucard raised his hand in front of his mouth, gazing at it with a look of slight mesmerization. "My my, it seems your family is growing too rapidly. Wonder if its because you cannot contain your lust like a fucking whore or preserving your bloodline. I wonder which one it would be-" he stopped abruptly when he licked her blood on his hand unknowingly.
Avram was confused why he stopped all of a sudden. He was about to speak to the ancestor Alucard, but then the said Vampire King slowly shifted his gaze from his hand to him. It was at this moment that the man saw what was from a distant memory he tried to repress but fate wasn't kind to him.
It was not his normal or stoic face. It was the face of the wrath of the No-life king.
"You dare? You dare HIDE SOMETHING LIKE THIS FROM ME?!" he roared out in anger, causing Avramto step back in terror. The vampires, all of them broke into fearful stutters and stammers, shaking wildly in terror at their ancestor's fury. Some of them even fainted at the maw of fangs exposed by the growling No-Life King.
Avram tripped down to the ground, crawling away from Alucard in a vain attempt to get some distance between them. "W-w-wha-what d-d-d-do y-y-you me-"
"Do not try to attempt to lie to me, fool." Immediately cutting the man off, Alucard appeared before Avram an instant, reaching forth in order to grab his throat and lift him off the ground before throwing him to the throne. Avram cried out in pain upon impacting the wall and slumping down on top of it. "You dare defy me. You dare hide…..an artifact that came from GOD HIMSELF! THE HOLY CHALICE! THE GRAIL!" Alucard bellowed at the end, his voice echoing like a thunderstrike throughout the room while leaving a low rumbling in its wake. All of the vampires widened their eyes not in realization, but in surprise. Each of them knew that their leader had been hiding something from Alucard over the last few years, but what that something was had eluded them.
Valerie raised her eyebrows, showing a bit of emotion in the form of her surprise at how Alucard knew she had the sacred gear, the sephiroth grail inside of her. She wondered how he knew about her sacred gear, but then she remembered that Alucard possessed the ability to look through memories by ingesting even a drip of their blood.
Furious, Alucard continued to speak with his words sounding more like the orders of an angry general to his subordinates. "Bring me Marius tepes at once…..NOW!" He commanded with a powerful voice, making the vampires quickly scrambled out of the room.
Before long, two vampire nobles got Marius' arms with the said man having been one of those who had fainted. They quickly brought Marius to Alucard, the said Vampire's eyes flickering open as his consciousness returned to the land of the living. When he did, he soon wished he hadn't upon facing the furious expression of the king in person. He widened his eyes in terror like someone in a horror flick coming into contact with their killer, and when he did this, Alucard opened his mouth showing two long fangs before he bit on his neck.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!" He screamed in pain while Alucard began to drink his blood, thrashing around in an attempt to get him off.
Unfortunately for him, the two noble vampires held him in place out of fear that they would become the targets of Alucard's wrath themselves. They thought if they could help their king, they would be spared from that wrath.
With wide eyes and a horrified expression as he felt his blood being rapidly drained out of him, knowledge of what would await him by the end of it filled his mind and amplified his terror. In desperation he started to plea for forgiveness in a pathetic manner. "LET GO OFF ME! LET ME GO! PLEASE I BEG YOU!" Sadly, once again they did not listen and instead held him tightly so that he could not escape.
While ignoring the whelp, Alucard began to read his memories through his blood which started with him seeing Marius talking with his father, witnessing her awakening her sacred gear, experimenting on her. In one instance, the memories showed a couple of vampires in front of her before the grail shone upon them, then another person who looked unfamiliar with Gray hair, in his twenties with silver hair that is tied in a braided hairstyle. He wears a silver robe with detailed accessories. And another which held his surprise to see has the appearance of a middle-aged man in his 40's with dark silver hair and hazel eyes. He looked much like one of Theseus' companions, Vali, albeit with longer hair and a beard. He wore the same attire that the crimson-haired Devil often wore.
All of these flashes happened in a few seconds in reality, but Alucard had enough experience to memorize every detail with crystal clear clarity. Now that he had what he needed, the Vampire King retracted his fangs from his neck, taking a step backwards to show the blood drenching his chin.
Before him, Marius looked pale and skinny from the amount of blood Alucard had drained from him. One could almost mistake him for a walking corpse which was ironic considering the species he belonged to. None of his previous dignity or demeanor could be seen, everything having seemingly been drained out of him alongside his blood.
He heard Alucard chuckling, making him turn his head up to him.
The said man had his hand on his face. He was grinning with the corner of his mouth showing fangs before he muttered. "Oh, it's been a while since I last saw your figure…..Lucifer's brat." Like he dropped that name, Alucard dropped his hand from his face to return his gaze towards the weakened Marius. He had a stoic look on his face, but the fiery anger he had previously remained judging from the intense glow behind his glasses. "You have lied to me, hid a sacred gear that strongly belongs to God himself, and used that power to boost your faction in a war against the Carmilla faction. You hid this from me, all of you!" He shifted his gaze towards all of the vampires, all of them taking a step back in realization that their secret war was discovered.
Avram begins to feel the worst is about to happen.
Which was proven correct when Alucard pointed at him. "And you, when your daughter, a dhampir was escaping with another dhampir, awakened her sacred gear. You saw this as an opportunity to tide against the female dominant vampires. Henceforth, you allowed your daughter, your own flesh and blood, to be experimented on by your own son. But not only that…" he turns his gaze to Marius with a sharp look on his face. "You conspired with the Khaos bridge, a rumored organization I did not know even existed. You've even conspired with the son of the devil king himself, Rizevim Livan Lucifer."
"(GASP)!"
All the onlooking Vampires gasped in fear and shock at the revelation that Marius Tepes was collaborating with the son of the original devil king himself. They each looked like a bunch of fans who got educated on who their idol truly was inside and got disillusioned as a result.
At this point, the Vampiric Prince who had managed to steady himself attempted to plead with the vampire king. He didn't look very good though, which made sense considering how little blood he had left. If he were an ordinary human he would have conked out and died a long time ago. "P-please, m-my l-lord. S-spare m-me-GAK!" Sadly, in his pain and pathetic desperation to save his own skin Marius forgot just WHO it was he was trying to appease. Well, he CERTAINLY got the message again when he was suddenly gripped around the throat by Alucard's left gloved hand. The grip was tight, nearly enough to cut off the airflow completely all the while choking the sniveling wimp and interrupting his sentence. Nevertheless, Marius got forced to stare into the eyes of the ancestor…
Or rather, the eyes of certain death itself.
"Spare me from you pathetic pleas, filthy fledging." The No-Life King spat, spit flying from his mouth before splattering over Marius's cold face. Any other person would have probably met a harsh punishment by the Vampiric Prince, though this case put him in the opposite position for once. "I've had enough of your rambling, your existence displeases me every moment I look at you." He dropped Marius to the ground and then begins to speak the next sentence which terrorize the whole Tepes vampires.
"Releasing Control Art Restriction Systems 3...2...1. Approval of situation A recognized; commencing the Cromwell Invocation."
It may as well have been like the death bells ringing for these Vampires, each ring being one word uttered by their Ancestor. They knew what was going to happen next, they also knew that they would not have the SLIGHTEST chance of stopping it. Their great king, the tyrant…he was preparing to unleash his power.
Alucard put his hands up like in a hypnotic position while the five pointed seal star on his gloves began to glow. Darkness began to cover Alucard completely, the monster shifting his hands into a square shape before he completed his seals. An eye appeared in the middle of his body followed by multiple others, each of them opening wide like they were bloodshot.
"Ability restrictions lifted for limited use until the enemy has been rendered sile-"
"WAIT!"
A deep scream echoed through the throne room, interrupting Alucard from completing his release form. Alucard froze for a moment before putting down his hand, he shifted his gaze to the one who shouted and interrupted his release form.
A man quickly ran to the vampire king and dropped down to his knees, sporting platinum blond hair and red eyes like the rest of the Vampires here. He also wore a noble outfit, though unlike many of his kin not a shred of arrogance could be seen from his posture indicated by how he didn't raise his head and began to speak. "Please my lord. Before you would begin unleashing your wrath against the Tepes faction please hear my explanations. I beg of you, great ancestor." The vampire begged, though his voice sounded clear and concise despite the sweat rolling off his forehead.
"..."
Silence hung in the air, tense and suffocating whilst nobody dared to speak. Even though many of the Vampires each wanted to check to see if this man had a few screws loose as well as freaking fuck him at the same time for delaying their Ancestor's wrath. It was a… polarizing feeling to say the least, but none dared to speak out and quite possibly ruin their sole chance of making it out of here alive.
As for the Vampire King, Alucard leered at the man kneeling before him while looking like he was frozen in mid-transformation, each of his eyes narrowing at the man. Normally, Alucard would not take kindly to those who interrupt his release form, killing them on the spot or forcing them to be burned by the sun slowly and painfully. But he would credit the man's bravery to stop him from unleashing his power and wiping out the Tepes faction for their secrecy and crimes against not only him but the Hellsing as well.
"Very well, then speak Vladi."
"Thank you my lord." the vampire, lord Vladi stands up, showing his full appearance. He is an androgynous-looking male sporting pale skin with platinum blond hair and pinkish-violet eyes instead of outright red ones, making him stand out somewhat. Even as he gazed up at the Vampire King, he steeled his nerves and began to talk. "Our fourth prince's action is unforgivable but I will admit hiding our war against the Carmilla family is just as unforgivable. Not everyone in the Tepes faction is responsible or participated in the war. We were forced to go against the war. You have no love for our race, honorable ancestor, but if you exterminate the Tepes faction it would only prove to be unsatisfactory. If you heed my reason…. Then we will not dare to anger you or displease you."
A snort escaped Alucard's fang-filled mouth while he glowered at the kneeling Vampire. "What makes you think I will listen to your pathetic reason Vladi? You speak only words but no action has been placed, many times have you all broken the vow you all said you would keep. What makes you think I would not slaughter you right here and right now?" he spat.
"Because I would at least prove my worth to you in your eyes. If you do not see any worth then you may scorch my entire being to ashes, tear my limbs to limbs, and drink my blood, leaving as an empty husk but please, spare the Tepes faction. I beg of you."
Alucard stared at Lord Vladi for some time now. He doesn't care if he thinks about the pros and cons if he slaughters his very own race here. He DID however applaud the bravery this one vampire, a noble, had for having the audacity to stop his rampage. He would give this vampire a little respect, for even declaring that he doesn't care or listen to his reason.
Perhaps he was acting out of his behavior for some time and acted a little childish.
"Very well then, I shall give you vampires one last chance." All the vampires sighed in relief, forever thanking lord Vladi for standing up against their very own progenitor. "However…." they stopped their relief when Alucard did not retreat from his dark form. "This will not go unpunished."
Alucards dark matter began to pull a couple of vampires, both their king and prince to Alucard from their throat, holding up in place for everyone to see. Avram and Marius tried to get out of the dark matter but the grip was too strong. Scared about what is going to happen they dread the feeling.
"The matter will not go unpunished, the crimes your king and the prince have committed. Not only do they dare defy me but also modify a lot of you to gain more power from that accursed relic, especially you brat." Marius squeaked in fear when the dark matter pulled again close to him. "Now, you and every single one of you shall know what it means to defy your king."
Alucard forced Marius to open his mouth. Grabbing his jaw to expose his white teeth and two long fangs, he took a hold of one of them before.
SHRINK!
"AHHHHH!"
Pulled one fang out.
Blood spewed forth from Marius' mouth as he screamed in pain before Alucard again ripped another one of his fangs out. He then tossed it to the side casually while the other Vampires turned into ghosts from how pale they became from witnessing this.
This act of punishment was usually reserved only for the highest and most despicable vampires. Pulling a vampire's fang was considered to be the ultimate act of punishment because their fangs represented who they are, their pride and joy. One could say that these fangs were their identity or racial pride.
Therefore, having them forcibly ripped out from their mouths was the biggest humiliation a vampire could face.
Even while hanging from the hand gripping his throat, Marius weapt in despair about his punishment with ugly tears streaming down his face. Never in his life did he ever expect to experience a punishment only for the most vile of vampiric offenders, as someone of high lineage he had seen various criminals go through this pain and it had always brought a smile onto his face.
Now that he was experiencing it himself, the expression 'the shoe's on the other foot' could be applied.
He never considered that his secrets and experiments would be exposed because of one simple act by his sister. Now karma had turned against him.
Not long after pulling his fang...
SHRINK!
SHRINK!
SHRINK!
SHRINK!
Out from his darkness came stakes that pierced all of the vampires that were held by Alucard's dark matter. They were pierced from the bottom of their body through their mouth showing how to face being stabbed. They gurgled in pain and misery at their plight, all the vampires that were stabbed by the famed stakes Alucard unleashed were modified by Valerie's sacred gear, regenerating again and again from the pain that was being inflicted on them. Blood spewed down the stakes like waterfalls.
They were now experiencing true hell.
The witnessing vampires all had different reactions to the sight spoken only in their nightmares. Some of them fainted from the horrifying display, some vomited their lunches out and some of them dropped to the ground while looking at the misery Avram, Marius, and the vampires were experiencing.
Alucard then spoke, making some of the vampires get out of their trance. "Bring me the Carmilla faction and the Cromwell family at once." Alucard ordered the vampires.
One of them reacted to his orders immediately and sank down into the shadows. There they waited for a few minutes or so as the staked vampires cried out in misery to get them out of their torment. None of them were given mercy for it was thanks to their own crimes that they were experiencing this shit in the first place.
Soon, a shadow stretched across the room's floor before out came one woman, slowly rising out from it with that same previous Vampire in tow like they were riding an elevator. This woman had medium-length white hair unlike her peers, alongside the signature red eyes of the Vampire race. For an attire, she wore a dress that partially exposed her upper torso alongside a bit of her cleavage and a belt around her waist. She wore tight socks that showed her thighs. She had a robe and on the shoulder lengths she shows a bit of skin as well on her shoulders. She had a crown on her forehead.
Another came from the shadows and from there was another woman. A beautiful brown-skinned woman, she had blue eyes and white hair and wore a white dress at the top half of her body showing a large bust, as well as the bottom half of her body showing her thighs. Her robes and shoulder blades showed that the only armor that covered her shoulders. Her robes were attached to a named necklace. On her forehead, she wore a blue gem.
Finally the last one to come out of the shadow was another woman. She had pale skin, considerably paler compared to the other vampires. Her outfit around her top half was like a bondage suit that shows more of her skin and wears a red robe around her waist that hides little of her bondage outfit and skin. Her arms had robes that were more vampiric in design and behind her head was an extended shoulder collar that is also vampiric design. She wears a pointed crown and on her hands was a vampiric staff.
(Look up Carla Cromwell and Marika from Taimanin series and Carmilla from Fate/Stay)
Once fully out from the shadow, the assortment of women stared at the atmosphere and soon found their gazes landing on the tortured vampires, of which their gazes hardened. They didn't need to know what had happened to those vampires since they could figure it out themselves judging from the scenery. Odds were that they must've done something that displeased the Vampire king himself, or was it to show his dominance over the vampire race? It was either of those two options, they thought to themselves and judging by how their 'escort' seemed to be quivering in his boots like a little swine (they DO look down on men after all) they felt compelled towards the first option.
Nevertheless, after clearing the distance between them and their Ancestor the woman collectively kneeled down before Alucard, ignoring the blood that stained their dresses while the brown-skinned woman was shaking in nervousness to be in the presence of their king and progenitor.
The first one who spoke was the pale woman with the less exposed dress. "You…..have called for us from the Carmilla Faction, my lord?" she asked her king, her voice calm and even.
Meanwhile, Alucard rolled his eyes behind his glasses, not like the women noticed. "Yes I have. First tell me why have you been hiding this secret war from me." he demanded, his cold gaze falling upon them like a blanket.
In unison, their breaths got caught in their throats as the Carmilla faction Vampires widened their eyes at the demand. Now they had a better idea of what had happened here, their king had learned of their war against the Tepes faction.
Judging from the carnage here, it was obvious to assume he was NOT happy about it.
Alucard walks to the one who spoke before putting his hand on her chin and lifting her face, making her face Alucard's shadowy figure. "You of all people, belonging to the Cromwell family. One of the alchemist magicians who has taken part in Hellsing since the beginning has not told me nor the Hellsing about this. I allowed your grandfather to marry your grandmother, allowed him to become a vampire. I was there witnessing your birth when they came asking me for help with your deliverance and I did so without question. So tell me Carla Cromwell, why have you hidden this from me?"
The brown-skinned woman made to speak despite her shaking nervous, trying to defend her mistress's actions even though this likely wouldn't end well for her. However, the woman named Carla raised her hand, stopping her from speaking.
She dropped her head down while still kneeling. "F-forgive me, my master. T-the Car-" she stopped what she was about to say, taking a glance to the Queen Carmilla, she nods her head allowing her to explain. She returns speaking. "The Carmilla faction did not initiate the war between the Tepes faction. They started the war when their previous leader Avram's great great grandfather destroyed human settlements in our territory, showing off that he was the true vampire. We retaliated by striking back against them. The Cromwell family wanted to contact you, but I-no, we….would displease you. We were afraid you would refuse to partake in the war, we dare not anger you my lord."
Contemplating in silence, Alucard could see why the Carmilla faction refused to contact him or Hellsing about this matter after a while. He could also agree with the reason why since he wasn't the type of person to get involved with politics anymore. Sure, he could've handled it but from what he had learned it sounded like two children bickering and fighting for an annoying and pointless matter. The Cromwell family did consider asking for his help but they knew he doesn't want to get involved with politics, that is more suited for his master. Then there was someone he once knew a long time ago who his master respected highly, someone whom he himself also had a margin of respect for:
Margaret Thatcher, the former UK Prime Minister, the Iron Lady.
To solidify her reasons, and knowing that her word alone wouldn't be enough, Carla decided to do something ballsy in vampire society. Reaching up to her shoulder, she pulled the clothing there aside and gestured at her neck, her gaze clearly indicating that she was offering it to Alucard. "Drink my blood and see through my memories if I have ever lied to you, honorable ancestor." she spoke.
IMMEDIATELY this caused a reaction amongst the rest of the Vampires in that room. The male vampires looked at her with shock like she had grown a second head while the members of Carla's faction looked on in horror. What Carla was doing could potentially amount to suicide, considering how their Ancestor was known for draining his victims dry when feeding on them. Even if they did survive, like Marius for example, they'd be left in a horrifically weakened state which would allow just about anyone to finish them off.
The brown-skinned woman wanted to retaliate by taking her place instead of her lady, but before she could interrupt a hand was put on her shoulder. Looking to the source, she saw that it was Carmilla shaking her head negatively, already giving her the message that it would get worse if she tried to kindle the fire.
Alucard grinned at her act, showing his fang-fanged smile. "As you wish, daughter of Cromwell." he opened his mouth before he bit her neck.
"AAAHH~!" she pulled her head back in ecstasy when Alucard stabbed his fangs at her neck. Her face had a little red taint on her cheeks.
Alucard didn't notice this however, too busy looking through her memories for a short while before looking at one particular memory where it had a group of vampires speaking. From it, he could indeed confirm that Carla had been speaking the truth, not lying to her ancestor.
Soon, Alucard stopped drinking her blood for a second before he retreated his fang from her neck. Carla let out a series of heavy breaths from the experience she just went through before turning her head away in embarrassment. She did not want to show her face to the man in front of her.
The brown skin woman sighed in relief before scooting to Carla. She thanked the gods that Alucard had given her mercy when he looked through her memories and it was confirmed she did not lie to him. She did wonder if he looked through her memories, would it even show him the truth? She questioned that herself.
Alucard stepped back with a little amusement on his face as he muttered. "I remember there was a saying about women, it was that 'they have less secrets than men do.'" That little praise caused the queen Carmilla to have a smug smile but Carla blushed a bit as she still hid her face from Alucard's view. The brown-skinned woman pouted a bit to Alucard which he grins before showing a serious face. He takes off his hat and glasses showing his expression to every vampire in the throne room.
Queen Carmilla widened her eyes before nudging at the two female vampires and stood up. They followed her actions and faced Alucard as he began his announcement. "Listen up! All of you!" The male vampires stood up in military fashion. They sweat in fear of what he is about to say. "From what I've learned, it seems the Carmilla faction were at least honest with their actions as they caused less trouble than what you have done. They are quite organized and have more discipline than every single one of you!" Each of the male vampires winced like they had been hit in the nuts with a baseball bat by a bodybuilder. That statement had hurt more than what they could expect, a blow in their pride one could say, that the Carmilla were considered by their Ancestor to be better than the Tepes. "I will not allow this type of action to happen again. Clearly many of you have hidden a lot of secrets from me which I do not take kindly. So as of this moment, 60% of your territory will go to the Carmilla's, and the Tepes faction shall serve them for at least 5 years as well as defend them from any aggressors! However, from the actions that your king and your prince has done, and from the past from starting a little charade, I will extend it to 60 years!"
Now THAT was something that ordinarily every member of the Tepes faction would protest against with every fiber of their beings. They would not take kindly to the idea of serving what amounted to their mortal enemies, the Carmilla faction, let alone giving the majority of their territories to their enemies. That would have ordinarily only happened over their dead bodies, and briefly such rebellious thoughts crossed into the minds of the younger occupants in the room.
That is, until the reality of the situation reminded them that they had no choice in the matter.
Yet, after what had happened and been brought to light alongside their king and prince's actions being made clear before their most revered yet feared ancestor, what else could they do? It was either serve the king and follow his order for his word was law or be staked, enduring the hell that the other vampires were facing.
The Carmilla faction dropped to their knees again while also showing their gratitude to their ancestor. They cannot say thank you or give their gratitude to Alucard because that would be childish. They were nobles from birth and they have to act like mature adults. Alucard had ended the war between the Carmilla and Tepes here and it was the Carmilla who won out in the end.
Off to the side, Valerie stayed silent as she observed the situation with her usual doll-like expression. When thinking about what she should be feeling, she could only draw a blank. Should she be happy, cry, or drop to her knees? She can't even display her emotions properly after what was done to her by her older brother, but nevertheless, her body was shaking. It wasn't from nervousness, but was it joy or happiness? She didn't know what to do, for a long time after when she awakened her sacred gear she had been nothing but a lab rat. She had many times wished she was rescued from her captivity by someone, she prayed to every gods in the world and every soul to help her torment. For years, none has answered her pleas; she almost lost hope with her.
That is until today, when Alucard discovered the deception of her family, punished them and humiliated them in front of the whole vampire community.
Alucard was suddenly in front of her without even realizing it. It took a second process before looking up at his shadowy figure with red eyes glowing, gazing at her.
"Now, what to do with you?" he muttered to her, his hand reaching out to her.
In her mind, she clearly doesn't even mind if she even gets killed by him, at least she's freed from her torment and can finally rest.
