chapter twenty one

George looked at Athena, thinking about the similarities between her and the Weasley family, and the similarities between her and Professor McGonagall.

He sighed and put the things he was carrying on the kitchen table and lowered himself to Athena's level and said, "Hello, Athena. Yes, I am your brother." He continued, smiling at her, "George Weasley is at your service, Miss."

Athena smiled at him and said, "Hello, George."

He said as he stood up again, "May I have a word in private, father?" Then he looked at his mother and Athena and smiled, "My father and I will talk for a little while. Excuse us for a little while."

Molly said, "Don't get your father tired , George. He's still sick."

"Don't worry, mother ," George said.

George and Arthur went to the living room and they both sat down.

George said, "What's going on, Father? How long have you and Mother been in contact with Professor McGonagall's daughter?"

"She's my daughter too, George," Arthur said. He sighed and continued, "I've met her since mid-August."

George said in astonishment, "Since August, father, and all this time, and you haven't told us?" He sighed and continued, "Tell me everything, father, from the beginning to the presence of your daughter from another woman with my mother in the kitchen while they were making cakes and biscuits."

Arthur sighed and told George everything.

George said, "Why didn't you tell us? Why did you and my mother hide it from us?"

Arthur said, "I was planning to tell you and your siblings, but I was waiting for the right time." He sighed and continued, "I didn't want to upset you and your siblings or cause tension in the family again."

George said, "You'll find it strange, Father. But Bill, Charles, Percy, Ron and I were talking about it. Bill was planning to talk to you and find out your position on the little girl... I mean Athena."

Arthur said, "Really! Ginny wasn't there with you and yoursiblings. I mean, didn't she talk to you and your siblings about it either?"

"Of course she wasn't there," George said. "Ginny's position on the matter is clear."

Arthur said, "What do they think? What do the rest of your brothers think?"

George said, "We agreed to decide after we know your position and decision regarding Athens."

Arthur said, "It is not the girl's fault. I will not act as if she does not exist. She is my daughter and I am her father, and I will not evade my responsibility towards her." He then began coughing violently.

George said, "Let's talk about this after you recover from the flu, father."

"Okay," Arthur said.

Molly entered the living room with a tray in her hand containing tea for George and lemon-herbal drink for Arthur, and behind her was Athena carrying a plate of some biscuits.

After she sat down, Molly said, "George, how are you and how are Angelina and the kids doing?"

George said after taking the cup of tea, "We are fine, Mum, and of course little Freddie is still adjusting to the idea of having a little sister."

Athena had also sat down and had a biscuit to eat.

George ate a biscuit and said, "It's wonderful, mother ."

"Really!," Molly said, "Athena helped me make them ," and smiled at Athena and stroked her hair.

"Really!, well done, Athena," George said.

Athena smiled shyly.

George said, "This is your first visit to the Burrow, Athena?"

"Yes," Athena said.

George said with a smile, "What do you think? Did you like the burrow? The burrow may seem a little messy to some people, but it's home in the end."

"On the contrary," Athena said quickly, "I think it's wonderful and I like its design too."

"Really, I'm glad to hear that," George said.

George said, "Were you visiting the sick father?"

"Yes," Athena said.

George said, "You are a good girl, Athena."

Athena smiled shyly.

George said, "I don't know much about you, Athena, so why don't you tell me a little about you?"

And so Athena, George, Arthur, and Molly kept talking to each other.

About an hour later, Arthur had gone to his room to rest a little.

And Molly was sitting in one of the comfortable chairs in the living room and knitting.

George and Athena were sitting on the floor in the living room, talking and laughing together.

Athena has adapted to George quickly, felt comfortable, and liked sitting and talking with him.

It was the first time she met one of her siblings.

George was friendly with her and he felt that she was close to him, as if she were a member of the family.

George was consulting Athena about some new games, pranks, and products he wanted to make in the store.

George was carrying in his hand a notebook containing some of his ideas and a design for new products for the store. He was presenting some of them to Athena and listening to her opinions.

George said, "So, Athena, what kind of games do you prefer?"

Athena said, "Mmm, I like difficult games like puzzles, riddles, chess, and such things."

George said, "Really, you're like my grandfather and Ron. They love playing chess. Ron's really good at it."

Athena said, "My mother is also very good at chess. She is the one who taught me how to play it. Did you know that she defeated Albus Dumbledore in most of their matches?"

"I'm not surprised," George said. "Professor McGonagall is very intelligent."

Athena continued, "Sometimes I play chess with Seve, even though he refuses most of the time."

George said, "Seve, this is your friend at school."

Athena laughed and said, "No, this is a picture in my mother's office. A picture of Headmaster Severus Snape."

"You're playing chess with pictures of Severus Snape," George said in shock, and he began to shake his head in feigned sadness and said, "What a poor little girl you are."

Athena said, "No, it's not bad." She continued, "I spend a lot of time with my mother in the office. I like to talk to pictures of former Headmasters . This has been a habit since childhood."

"You don't have any friends your age, Athena?" George said.

"Of course I have," Athena said. "I have a fair number of them."

George said, "What else do you like, Athena?"

"Flying and Quidditch," Athena said.

George laughed and said, "Welcome to the club. Most of the family like Quidditch or have played Quidditch before."

Athena said, "I thought I inherited my love of flying and Quidditch from my mother," she said. "She loves flying and quidditch a lot , she was also a good player on the Gryffindor Quidditch team."

George said, "Really, I think I heard that in my school years. What was her position?"

"She was Chaser ," Athena said.

Athena continued, "My mother was the captain of the Gryffindor team when she was a student, and my grandmother was also the captain of the Ravenclaw team when she was a student. My grandmother, I'm named after her, by the way."

George said, "Her name was Athena?"

Athena said, "No, I mean my middle name ، It is Isobel, my full name is Athena Isobel McGonagall."

George smiled and said, "Great, you must have Quidditch running through your veins."

Athena laughed and said, "I think so."

"Did you know I played on the Gryffindor Quidditch team when I was a student at Hogwarts " George said.

"Really," Athena said, "what was your position?"

"I was a Beater," George said, then he picked up an imaginary Beater's bat and made a motion as if he were hitting a Bludger ball.

Athena laughed and said, "I was expecting that. The Beater is close to your personality, George."

George laughed and said, "What do you mean, my little miss?"

Athena and George kept talking and laughing and Molly was talking to them too.

Then they heard the sound of someone coming from the fireplace.

"It must be your mother, Athena," Molly said, and Molly went to the fireplace

Minutes later, Molly and Minerva entered the living room. Minerva was a little surprised by George's presence.

Athena ran to her mother and hugged her.

"Sorry I'm late, my kitty," Minerva said. "The meeting lasted longer than I expected."

Athena said, "Never mind, Mama. I spent the time with Papa and helped Aunt Molly in the kitchen, and George and I sat talking and coming up with some games and pranks."

"Really!, then you enjoyed your time in the burrow, my kitty," said Minerva, and she tenderly placed her hand on her daughter's cheek.

"Yes," Athena said.

Minerva looked at Molly and said, "Thank you, Molly, for taking care of Athena."

"Don't thank me, Minerva," Molly said. "I enjoyed having Athena with us today."

George was amazed that his mother and Minerva were in the same room without any quarrels or tension in the air.

Minerva looked at George and said, "Hello, Mr. Weasley."

"It's just George, Professor," said George, "or should I say Minerva ". He winked at her and continued, "Hello, Minerva."

Minerva shook her head and said, "Thank you for taking care of Athena."

"Don't thank me, Minerva," George said. "I really enjoyed my time with Athena. She's a wonderful girl." He smiled at Athena.

"Come on, my child," Minerva said. "We must go back to Hogwarts."

Athena said, "Aunt Molly, could I say bye bye and good night to my father before I go?"

"I'm here, my child," Arthur said as he entered the living room.

Athena went to him and hugged him and said, "Take care of yourself and your health, father."

Arthur said, "Don't worry, my child. I will get better quickly, so I can visit you often."

Athena said, "bye bye , father, and good night to you."

Arthur said as he stroked his daughter's hair, "bye bye , my little one, and good night to you too."

Athena went to Molly, who hugged Athena and kissed her cheeks.

"bye bye , Aunt Molly," Athena said.

"bye bye , my little" Molly said.

She went to George and smiled at him and said, "bye bye , George."

"What," said George, "no hugs for me?" He put a sad expression on his face.

Athena hugged him, and George hugged her as well and said, "bye bye, Athena."

Athena went to her mother, held her hands, and they both went to the fireplace to use the floo powder and return to Hogwarts

After they went.

George said, "We must talk about Athena's matter after you heal and recovers, Father."

"What do you think, George?" said Molly.

"I don't know, mother," George said. "It's hard to describe my feeling now."

Arthur said, "Okay, I will meet with you and your brothers after I recover, to discuss the matter."

George said, "Okay," and continued, "I have to go now. I've left all the work to Ron. See you, mother. See you, father."

And so George went.

Arthur said as he sat on one of the chairs, "I think it is time to talk to our children about the subject of Athens."

"I agree with you, Arthur," Molly said.

Arthur said, "I will meet with the boys before the end of the week."

Molly said, "What about Ginny?"

Arthur said, "I will talk to her alone after I talk to the boys."

She said to me, "Come on, Arthur, come and eat some food and take the strengthening potion."

"Well, could I have some of the cake you and Athena made?" Arthur said.

"Okay, my darling Arthur," Molly said, laughing.

Thus ended Athena's first visit to the Burrow.
