chapter twenty two

After Athena's visit to the Burrow, Arthur decided to meet with his boys children to tell them about Athena.

Arthur decided that the meeting would be at the Burrow, and Molly suggested that she go that day to Ginny, to which Arthur decided to postpone talking to her about the matter of Athena until he knew the opinion of the rest of her brothers.

George had told his brothers that he had met Athena in the Burrow and that his father had been in contact with her for some time.

Of course, he consulted Arthur before telling them, and Arthur agreed because he thought that this would save him a lot of time.

Arthur and his sons gathered in the living room.

Arthur said, "You know why I'm meeting with you boys today, don't you?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"I'm still upset that you kept it from us all this time," Bill said, "but I can understand your anxiety and fear of spreading tension in the family again."

Charles said, "When did you want to tell us, Father ? What if George hadn't come to the burrow that day? How long were you and Mom going to hide that from us?"

Percy said, "Speaking of my mother, how do you drag her into this, father ? How do you make her meet your daughter from another woman? Don't you think about how she feels?"

George said, "No, Percy. Quite the opposite. I think my mother loves Athena, from the way they interact with each other, and Athena loves her too. My mother did not seem upset by Athena's presence at all. Rather, she treated her as if she were family."

Ron said, "This is what surprises me a little about this, but in the end, my mother is a caring person with everyone and has a kind heart that is very big and can accommodate everyone."

Arthur said, "boys, I want to tell you that the presence of Athena in my life is a reality. I cannot push her away or pretend that she does not exist. She is my daughter and has a right over me, and she has no fault in the circumstances of her birth. She is young and I must be present in her life." And I want to be present in her life and participate in her upbringing. Today's meeting did not change my opinion, but I am here asking you about your relationship with her. I cannot force you to know her or love her and consider her your sister."

Arthur sighed and continued, "She always keeps asking me when she will meet her brothers and sister. She loved George very much."

George smiled and said, "She's a very nice girl."

Arthur said, "I want to know your decision, boys, so that I can act on it. What is your position on Athena?"

Bill said, "What about Ginny, father?"

Arthur said, "I will talk to Ginny after I know your decision."

Percy said, "What's mother's opinion?"

Arthur said, "Molly loves Athena very much. Athena loves her too, and I asked Molly more than once, and she has no objection to Athena being in the family."

Bill said, "I agree that the girl is not at fault, but it would be a surprise to introduce her to the whole family, especially the children, who will be confused."

Arthur said, "I wanted to introduce her to you and Ginny just to start, before I got her to know the rest of the family."

Everyone was silent, thinking about the matter: Should they accept the presence of Athena among them, or reject her presence and consider her non-existent?

George said, "Give the girl a chance, meet her at least once."

Bill said, "I agree with George. I have no objection to meeting her, Father."

"Me too," Charles said. "I want to meet her."

Ron said, "I'm not in favor of the decision to have her in the family, but I think I'll at least meet her."

They all looked at Percy. Percy sighed and said, "It's not easy. What if one of us changes his mind after meeting her?"

Arthur said, "Don't worry, Percy. I will talk to her if that happens, although I don't think any of you will. I'm sure you will love her very much."

Percy sighed and said, "Okay, I'll meet her too."

Arthur smiled and said, "Very well. I will speak with Minerva and ask her to allow Athena to meet you and set up an appointment with her."

Bill looked suspiciously at Arthur and said, "Are you in contact with Professor McGonagall, Father?"

Arthur said, "It's not what you think. The relationship between me and her is Athena. She's just my friend, boys, believe me."

Percy sighed, "Does my mother know?"

Arthur said, "Of course, I do not hide anything from Molly. Minerva is the mother of Athena and only my friend."

"Well that's settled," Bill said, "but what about Ginny I don't think she'll agree."

Arthur said, "At least I will tell her and leave her the freedom to decide." Arthur sighed and continued, "Although Ginny is the most person that Athena is excited to meet ."

Ron said, "Sure, she is her only sister among all these brothers."

Charles said, "Set a date for the meeting and send me a message, Father, so that I can come on time and arrange my work in Romania."

"Okay, Charles," Arthur said.

The meeting between Arthur and his sons ended, and they all agreed to meet with Athena, leaving only Ginny remaining.

Arthur consulted with Molly and decided to include Harry with them and to be present at the time of asking Ginny to meet Athena.

Molly decides that she and Arthur invite Ginny, Harry, and their children to dinner and to tell Ginny about Athens after dinner.

Arthur went to his son-in-law's office, Harry Potter, at the Ministry of Magic.

Arthur knocked on Harry's office door and heard Harry's voice from inside saying, "Come in."

Arthur entered the office and said, "Hello, Harry."

"Hello, Arthur," Harry said as he stood up and smiled at Arthur.

"Harry, don't forget dinner tonight," Arthur said.

Harry smiled and said, "Don't worry, I won't forget, and even if I forgot Ginny don't forget anything."

"Speaking of Ginny," Arthur said, "I want to ask you something, Harry."

Harry said, "What's the matter, Arthur?"

"It has something to do with Athena, my daughter by Minerva McGonagall," Arthur said.

Arthur told him about his desire to introduce Athena to her brothers and sister and include her in the family

After Arthur finished, Harry said, "I'm not sure if this is a good idea, Arthur. Ginny is avoiding talking about this matter, and I don't think she will welcome the idea."

Arthur said, "I need your help, Harry. I cannot postpone the matter or pretend that the girl does not exist. Ginny must accept Athena's presence. I want to make Athena a member of this family."

Harry said, "I understand you, Arthur, but Ginny's position on the girl has been clear from the beginning, and I don't know if she will change her mind."

Arthur said, "What about you, Harry? I want to know your opinion about the matter."

Harry said, "I respect and appreciate Professor McGonagall very much, and of course you, Arthur, and I do not hide from you. The discovery of the matter shocked me greatly, but in the end what happened happened and the little girl was not at fault, but at the same time I understand Ginny's sadness and her desire to ignore the matter."

Arthur sighed and said, "I want her to know how kind and kind-hearted Athena is. I'm sure Ginny would love her very much if she got to know her. All I want is for Ginny to give her just one chance."

Harry sighed and said, "I will help you, Arthur, but if Ginny's final decision is not to meet Athena, we should respect her decision, okay?"

Arthur smiled and said, "Okay, thank you, Harry."

Harry smiled back at him and said, "There is nothing to you thank me for, Arthur."

After discussing some topics related to work and family, Arthur returned to his office and began preparing for his conversation with Ginny tonight.

After dinner that day.

After eating, Harry, Ginny, their three children, Arthur, and Molly settled in the living room, eating dessert.

Albus and James were playing on the children's play rug on the living room floor, and little Lily was sleeping in her children's chair.

Ginny noticed her father's tense looks and the looks between him, her mother, and Harry.

"Okay everyone," said Ginny, "what's up?"

"What do you mean, dear Ginny?" said Molly.

Ginny said, "You're hiding something or you want to tell me something."

Arthur said, "Actually, yes, there is something I want to discuss with you."

Arthur sighed and continued, "It has to do with Athena."

Ginny's features changed. She looked at her children, but they were not concentrating on their conversation and all their focus was on their games.

Ginny said, "What happened? And why are you talking about it now, father?" and looked at her parents.

Arthur began telling his daughter Jenny about his encounter with Athena, and Molly was also helping.

Ginny said, keeping her calm for the sake of her children, "So, father, you decided to make her a member of the family after everything that happened."

Arthur said, "Ginny, Athena has no fault in all of this. She is also my daughter and a member of the Weasley family."

Ginny raised her eyebrows, "And you named her Weasley, too."

Arthur said, "It hasn't happened yet, but I decide to do so in the future."

Ginny said as she looked at her mother, "And you, mother, did you accept it as simple as that?"

Molly said, "I agree with your father's decision, Ginny. Give the girl a chance. She loves you very much, Ginny."

Harry said, "Think about it, Ginny, everyone gave her a chance."

"I don't want to," Ginny said.

Arthur said, "Don't decide now, Ginny. Think about it a little, please."

Ginny sighed and said, "Okay, I'll think about it, but I can't promise that my decision will change."

Arthur said, "Thank you, Ginny, and please think carefully before you decide."

They didn't talk about it for the rest of the evening so that Ginny wouldn't feel uncomfortable and the continuation of this family evening.

October 30, 2008

Athena was very excited about tomorrow, tomorrow is Halloween.

On this day every year there is a celebration and feast at Hogwarts, but this was not the reason for Athena's excitement.

Her mother agreed that she and Athena would go out with Arthur tomorrow to collect candy in the village of Hogsmeade and attend Athena's school party on the occasion of Halloween.

This was the first time Athena brought her father to her school. Of course, Minerva was opposed at first, but Athena and Arthur succeeded in convincing Minerva in the end.

Athena was preparing her costume that she would wear tomorrow.

Athena was confused as she had not yet decided what to wear.

She and her mother were now in the living room of their residence at Hogwarts.

Minerva was helping Athena choose the costume that Athena would wear tomorrow.

Athena said, "Why don't you want this outfit? It's great?"

Minerva sighed and said to her daughter, "You cannot disguise yourself as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Athena."

Athena said, "Okay. What about Professor Dumbledore or Professor Snape? I can imitate them well."

Minerva said, "I don't think it's a good idea, my kitty. How about dressing up as a cat?"

Then Minerva smiled and grabbed Athena's cheeks and said, "You'll be so cute in that cat costume."

Athena said, "No, mama. I have disguised myself as a cat before. I want a new costume."

The mother and her daughter started thinking, then Athena said, "What do you think if I disguise myself as a pumpkin?"

Minerva laughed and said, "Are you running out of ideas, my dear? I don't mind you dressing up as a pumpkin, but I think we might find a better idea."

Athena sighed and said, "I want something new and special this year."

Athena said, "Mama, I have an idea. I want to disguise myself as Athena. What do you think?"

Minerva looked at her daughter with incomprehension, "I don't understand what you mean? Do you mean that you don't want to disguise yourself and just be Athena this year?"

Athena said, "No, Mama, I do not mean Athena myself, but I mean Athena in ancient Greek mythology, that myth that you told me before, and that it was a symbol of war and wisdom in ancient Greek mythology."

Minerva said as she patted Athena's head and smiled at her, "It's a wonderful idea, Athena. Well, let's make the costume so it will be ready tomorrow. You will help me, my kitty, right?"

"Of course, Mama," Athena said.

Thus, Minerva began making a costume for her daughter using magic, and Athena was helping her as well.
