chapter twenty three
October 31, 2008
This morning, Athena was sitting in her mother's office at Hogwarts, waiting for her mother to return after she finished checking on the school's conditions.
Athena was sitting in one of the comfortable chairs in her mother's office, holding in her hand the toys that her brother George had sent her on the occasion of Halloween.
This morning, George sent her a box containing some of his shop's Halloween products. The box contained some new toys Halloween and new Halloween tricks.
Athena was happy that her brother George sent her something. Athena decided to try these tricks with her friends at school.
Of course, Minerva made sure of the contents of the box and that the toys and tricks that George sent were safe and not dangerous to Athena or anyone before she gave the box to her daughter.
"What's that box, Miss Athena," said one of the pictures of the former Headmasters.
Athena said, "My brother George sent it to me today on the occasion of Halloween." Then she showed them the box and continued, "Wait, I will show you its contents."
Athena started showing her friends pictures of the former Headmasters of Hogwarts the contents of the box. She was happy and told them a little about her meeting with George.
After a short while, the office door opened and Headmistress Minerva McGonagall entered, followed by her assistant, the head of Gryffindor House, and the professor of botany and herbology, Neville Longbottom.
Minerva said, "Okay, Neville, I'll depend on you in this matter."
Neville said, "Don't worry, Headmistress, I'll finish this matter."
Minerva smiled at him and said, "Okay."
Neville said when he noticed Athena's presence in the office, "Hello Athena, how are you today?"
"I'm fine, Professor Longbottom," Athena said. " And How are you, Professor?"
Neville said, "I'm great, miss." He sighed and continued, "As you know, there's a Halloween feast today. You'll be attending, Athena, right?"
Athena smiled and said, "Of course, Professor, after my school party is over and we collect some candy in Hogsmeade, then I will attend the feast."
During this discussion between Neville and Athena, Minerva had sat at her desk and started writing some works and finishing others.
Minerva said, "Today I will go with Athena to her school for the party and We will spend some time in Hogsmeade like every year. If anything happens and you need me, send me a message and I will come right away."
Neville said, "Don't worry, Minerva. I will take care of Hogwarts in your absence. Don't worry and enjoy the day with little Athena."
Minerva said, "Thank you, Neville. Here you go. These are the works I want you to finish and continue until I return." Minerva gave him some papers and manuscripts.
"Okay, I'll take care of them," Neville said.
Minerva said, "Okay, Neville, you can go now. Athena and I will get ready and then we will leave Hogwarts."
Neville waved to Athena and said, "See you, Athena. I hope you and your mother enjoy today."
Athena smiled and said, "Thank you, Professor. I also wish you a happy day."
Professor Neville Longbottom came out of the headmistress's office.
Minerva said, "Are you ready for today, my kitty?"
"Of course, Mama," Athena said, smiling.
Minerva said as she stood up, "Okay, let's go to the room so you can change your clothes and put on your costume." She looked at the clock and continued, "There is only an hour left until our meeting with your father, my little ."
Athena said, "Okay, Mama, let's go. Will you help me wear my costume?"
Minerva smiled and said, "Of course, my little kitty."
Minerva and Athena left the office, heading to their residence at Hogwarts to get ready.
An hour later at the The Three Broomsticks.
Arthur was sitting at one of the tables waiting for his daughter and Minerva to arrive.
Arthur smiled when he remembered that he had been able to convince Minerva to allow him to spend Halloween with Athena and attend her school party.
He still remembers the long discussion they had and what she would tell the school about him and his kinship with Athena.
Arthur told her of his intention to officially include Athena in the Weasley family, to officially adopt her as his daughter, and for her to take the Weasley title instead of McGonagall, or at least to carry both titles.
Minerva was shocked by Arthur's words and some tears fell from her joy that her daughter Athena would have a large family like the Weasley family.
Arthur told her that he wanted to announce from now on that Athena was his daughter as well, and told her not to worry because he would never change his decision or back down from it.
Arthur was awakened from his thoughts by the voice of his little daughter, Athena, saying, "Hello, Father, how are you?" She was running to Arthur, and behind her was Minerva.
Arthur stood up and hugged Athena, kissing her cheeks and said, "I'm in better shape because I saw you, my kitty."
He smiled at Minerva and said, "Hello, Minerva."
"Hello, Arthur," Minerva replied.
The three of them sat for a while.
Athena immediately said, "What do you think of my costume, papa?"
Arthur said, "Wow, his idea is wonderful, my kitty. If I'm not mistaken, it's like a Grecian warrior."
"She's disguised as Athena from Greek mythology," Minerva said.
Arthur was surprised and said, "Athena is disguised as Athena." He smiled and started stroking Athena's face and said, "But Athena, my daughter is the most beautiful Athena in the whole world, of course."
Athena smiled shyly and said, "Thank you, Papa."
Arthur said, "So when should we go to Athens School?"
Minerva looked at her watch and said, "The party starts in half an hour. I think we should get going now."
"Okay, let's go," Arthur said.
The three of them left the Three Broomsticks tavern, heading to Athena's School, which was located in Hogsmeade Village.
The three of them arrived at Athena's School.
It was a medium-sized school intended for the primary stage, or as some Hogsmeade residents say, the pre-Hogwarts stage.
It has a number of teachers who were also residents of the village.
The children of village residents whose parents worked and did not have enough time to educate their children went to school.
Also, so that the village children find a place to learn and play with each other, and so that the children do not stay at home all the time.
The teacher, Natasha, Athena's class teacher, said as she approached them, "Hello, Professor McGonagall, how are you?" Then she looked at Athena and smiled and said, "Hello, Athena, your costume is wonderful."
Athena smiled and said, "Thank you, Professor Natasha."
Natasha looked at Arthur and smiled at him. Minerva had told her that the father of her daughter Athena would come with them today, and this surprised her. Minerva had never talked about her daughter's father and had never said that she had been married before. Even the child, Athena, bore her mother's family name of McGonagall.
Minerva said, "I want to introduce you, Professor Natasha, to Arthur, Athena's father."
Arthur extended his hand to greet the professor.
Professor Natasha said as she greeted him, "Welcome, Mr. Arthur. Pleased to meet you today."
Arthur said, "I am also pleased to meet you. Thank you for Your care for Athena."
The teacher, Natasha, said, "No, thank you, I have an obligation, and Athena is a well-behaved child." She continued, "Please have a seat,The party is about to begin."
They went and sat at one of the tables.
The party began and the party consisted of a number of activities, activities and games for the children, and the parents were sitting and encouraging their children and photographing them.
Of course, Minerva took many pictures of Athena and encouraged her.
Arthur also encouraged his daughter and waved to her whenever she waved at him or looked at him.
After a while of the ceremony, Athena went to the table where her parents were sitting.
Athena said, "Come with me, father. I want to introduce you to my friends."
Arthur looked at Minerva. Minerva smiled at him reassuringly and said, "Good idea. Go with her, Arthur. I will wait for you here."
Arthur went with Athena and Minerva watched them.
Athena was introducing her father to her friends, and she was happy and smiling, and she, her father, and her friends talked for a little while.
After he finished, Arthur returned to the table and sat next to Minerva.
"She's happy," Arthur said. "Her friends seem to be good and kind."
Minerva said, "They are really good children. I know them all, even their parents are good."
Arthur laughed and said, "I bet you know everything about Athena's friends and their fathers and mothers very well."
Minerva smiled at him and said, "Sure, I am very protective of Athena. She is my only daughter and the most precious person in my life."
Arthur said, "I am reassured because you are Athena's mother. Thank you, Minerva, for your concern for Athena."
Minerva said, "Don't thank me, Arthur. She is my daughter too, and I am very grateful and happy to have her in my life."
After a short silence between them, Arthur said, "The box that Athena has and is playing with its contents with her friends, is it from George and Ron's store?"
Minerva said, "Yes, I was surprised too. George sent it to Athens this morning on the occasion of Halloween."
Arthur was surprised and said, "Really? George sent it !"
"Yes," Minerva said.
Arthur smiled and said, "That's a good sign."
Minerva said, "What do you mean, Arthur?"
Arthur said, "George sends the family's children the store's Halloween products every year as gifts. He sends each child a box containing new Halloween toys and tricks."
Arthur smiled and continued, "This means that he considers Athena a member of the family."
Minerva said, "I am happy that he sent Athena this gift. I cannot tell you, Arthur, how happy Athena was this morning with this box. She even kept telling me about every toy and trick in it."
"I'm sure the rest of her siblings will love her too when they meet her like George," Arthur said.
Minerva sighed and said, "Do you still insist that Athena meet them next weekend, Arthur? Don't you think this meeting is a little hasty?"
Arthur said, "So when should you meet them, Minerva? My children already know about Athena and know about Molly and I's contact with her. Athena is also eager to meet her siblings, and I think the time is right for Athena to meet and to know her siblings and her family."
"What about Ginny," Minerva said. "Have you decided yet whether she will meet Athena or not?"
Arthur said, "You haven't told me yet, but I have a strong feeling that Ginny will agree to meet Athena. She is my daughter and I know how very kind her heart is."
Minerva smiled as she remembered the insulting letter that the kind-hearted Ginny had sent her.
"I didn't tell Athena yet about her meeting with her siblings next week," Minerva said.
Arthur said, "Why, Minerva, didn't you tell her yet?"
Minerva sighed and said, "I'm afraid that something will happen and your children will change their minds and my daughter's heart will be broken, Arthur, and this is what I cannot bear."
Arthur said, "Don't worry, Minerva. He spoke with the children as I told you, and none of them object to Athena coming to the family gathering next week. And don't worry about Ginny. I will speak to her tomorrow to find out her decision, and even if she refuses to meet her, the rest of her brothers will meet her."
Minerva sighed and said, "Okay, I'll tell her tomorrow."
Arthur smiled and said, "Could you allow me to tell her myself at the end of the day, please, Minerva?"
Minerva smiled at him and said, "Okay."
After that, Minerva asked Arthur to take some pictures of her with Athena, and Arthur of course agreed with pleasure, and after that Minerva took some pictures of Arthur and Athena.
Then Athena asked that some pictures be taken of the three of them as a family, and both Minerva and Arthur agreed and asked one of the teachers to take some pictures of the three of them together.
The school party ended and Arthur, Minerva, and Athena went to a restaurant in Hogsmeade Village to eat some food before they went on a tour to collect sweets for Athena.
After Athena collected a fair amount of candy, they went to the Honeydukes store and Arthur bought a box of chocolate frog candy for Athena and a box of sugar mice candy for Minerva, who was surprised that Arthur bought candy for her as well, but Arthur insisted that she accept this simple gift from him.
Arthur also bought his wife Molly's favorite candy so he could give it to her upon his return.
After that, the three of them went to the Hogwarts school gate until Minerva and Athena returned.
At the gate, Arthur embraced Athena and kissed her cheeks.
Arthur said, "Thank you, my child, for this wonderful day."
Athena said as she embraced her father, "Thank you, father. I am pleased to have you join us today."
Arthur said, "I have one last surprise for you today, my daughter. I want you to visit us at the burrow next weekend so I can introduce you to your siblings."
Athena said with signs of joy on her face, "Really? Finally, papa."
Then she looked at her mother and said, "Will you let me go, Mama?"
Minerva smiled and said, "I don't mind, as long as you want to go, my kitty."
Athena said, "Of course I want to go, Mama."
"Okay, I'll come get you next week," Arthur said.
"Okay, we agreed," Athena said.
After Arthur said goodbye to them, Minerva and Athena passed through the Hogwarts gate holding each other's hand.
Minerva said, "Did you have fun today, my kitty?"
Athena said, "I had a lot of fun, Mama, thank you."
"You're welcome, my child," Minerva said. "And now, are you ready for the Halloween feast?"
Athena smiled at her and said, "Yes."
The mother and daughter returned to Hogwarts School.
Arthur returned to the burrow and entered the living room.
He found Molly sitting on the sofa, knitting one of the Christmas sweaters.
"Arthur, you're back," said Molly. " welcome, my dear."
Arthur said, "Hello, my dear Molly. Here you go. I brought you some sweets, my beloved wife."
Molly took the candy from Arthur and kissed him on the cheek and said, "Oh, Arthur, thank you, my dear."
Arthur smiled and sat next to Molly.
Molly said, "Arthur, I have a surprise for you. Today, Ginny and the children came to visit me. She wanted your novel as well, but before she left, she told me to inform you that she agreed to meet Athena."
"Really, Molly?" Arthur said.
Molly laughed and said, "Really, Arthur, I bet Harry was the one who could convince her."
"It's good that Ginny finally agreed," Arthur said.
Molly said, "Okay, tell me about the day with Athena and the party."
Arthur smiled and said, "I'll tell you, my dear."
The couple kept talking and chatting with each other.
