chapter twenty six
Minerva entered through the shop door.
She smiled as she saw the store's many merchandise, in all shapes, colors, and sizes, on display.
The store had a good number of customers even at this early hour.
The store's employees, in their purple uniforms, were actively walking around, helping buyers and customers and displaying the newest and latest releases.
Minerva felt the joy she felt whenever she entered the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes store, as if she was a little girl, although she never admitted it, but she saw that everyone needs to joke and have fun from time to time, and that is what made her not prohibit all trick products and pranks at school.
She began to remember the twins who founded the store, and she felt a wave of sadness pass over her when she remembered Fred Weasley. She always felt sad when remembering one of her former students who had died while fighting Voldemort and his followers.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a young man wearing a purple uniform and said to her in a foreign accent from which Minerva guessed that the young man was of French origin, "Hello, ma'am, how can I help you? Are you looking for something specific?"
Minerva said, "Hello, actually I want to meet George Weasley or Ron Weasley, preferably both."
Before the young man could open his mouth, another young man whom Minerva recognized as one of her old students came and said, "Welcome to the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Professor McGonagall."
Minerva said, "Hello, Mr. Rudlis. I wanted to meet George or Ron, can I?"
The young man, Rudlis, became a little nervous and motioned for the young Frenchman to go. He said to Minerva while feeling sorry, "Oh, I apologize to you, Professor. They both left a little while ago."
Minerva raised her eyebrows and said, "Both of them are not there." She always couldn't find them in the store every time she wanted them for something related to the school and their products, and she continued, "Can I wait for them to come back?" "
Rudlis swallowed hard and said, "I don't know when they will come, but I can deliver to them what you want from them, Professor," and he smiled at her nervously.
Minerva sighed. She wanted to end this matter directly today, not by Letters and owls.
Before she could move, someone came from behind her and said, "Hey Jacob, could you tell George to come right away?"
This was Angelina Weasley, George's wife.
Minerva looked at her. The young woman was holding a baby girl in her hands. Minerva guessed it was Roxanne. Next to her stood a small child with red hair, which Minerva guessed was little Fred.
Angelina said when Minerva noticed, "Ah, Professor McGonagall. Welcome, Professor. It's a nice coincidence to see you here." And She smiled at her.
Minerva smiled at her and said, "Hello, Mrs. Weasley."
Angelina said, "It's just Angelina, Professor, but what are you doing here at this time?" Then she smiled in amazement, "Did she come to buy something?"
"No, she came to meet George and Ron," Minerva said with a smile, "but unfortunately they are not here."
Angelina was surprised and said, "How come George is not here? He told me this morning that he would spend most of the morning in the store because they had an urgent order that needed to be delivered."
Rudlis was pointing at Angelina from behind Minerva with incomprehensible signals and gestures.
Angelina said, "Oh, they may be in the hideout. It's the place where they are when they want some quiet, to invent a new product away from the noise of the store. Come with me, Professor. I'm sure they're there."
Rudlis's eyes widened as he moved his head in rejection to Angelina, but she did not notice him and walked away, followed by Minerva and little Fred, who was looking at Minerva curiously.
Fred suddenly said to Minerva as they walked, "Hello, I'm Fred," and smiled at her, showing his small teeth.
Minerva smiled at him and said, "Hello, Fred, nice to meet you."
She came to a small door, which Minerva thought was the door of an old closet, or an unused brooms room.
Angelina cast a spell on the door with her magic wand, and Minerva then heard the sound of the door lock opening.
At that time in a small room in the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes store.
George and Ron were sitting in two chairs with a small table between them.
"Do you think she's gone?" George said.
"I told Jacob to come over here right away after she go," Ron said.
George and Ron had quickly hidden in this room when they learned that Professor McGonagall was in the store.
George sighed and said, "You know, Ron, we can't hide like this every time Professor McGonagall comes to us."
"I know, George," Ron said. "But she's coming to scold us. I'm sure this time it's because of Fletch's trick. Why is this idiot Simon acting on his own?"
"Ron, I'll ask you for the last time," George said, narrowing his eyes and looking at Ron, "You didn't know anything about this trick?"
Ron sighed and said, "I swear to you, George, I didn't know anything about her. I was as surprised as you. Damn you, Simon, get us into trouble with Professor McGonagall."
"After we get out of here, we should send her a letter of apology and a promise to make it right," George said.
"I agree with you, brother," Ron said.
The brothers were interrupted by the sound of the room's door opening. At first, they thought it was Jacob Rudlis, their assistant, who came to tell them that Professor McGonagall had gone, but they were surprised by those standing outside the door.
Standing outside the door was Angelina, holding baby Roxanne and gently rocking her, and little Fred, and next to him was Professor Minerva McGonagall, looking at them with wide, astonished green eyes.
Angelina said, "Here they are, Professor. I told you they are here. Come, George, there is something important that I want and need you for. Come on, don't stand like this like a statue."
George and Ron both froze in shock.
George said after he came out of his shock, "Oh, my dear Angelina, what brings you here? Did something happen?"
He left the small room and Ron followed him until they stood in front of Angelina and outside the room.
Angelina sighed and said, "Yes, my dear, something happened. You know our neighbor next door, Mrs. Smith, and you know that her daughter and her grandchildren came to visit her this week, and you know that your respected son sometimes goes to play with her grandchildren, but your son Fred was able to convince Mrs. Smith's grandson to steal his father's magic wand and..."
Little Fred shouted in his childish voice, "He just borrowed it, Mama," but Angelina's angry look silenced him.
Angelina continued, "Then both Fred and Mrs. Smith's grandson played with the magic wand until Fred decided to try one of the magic spells on Mrs. Smith's grandson. Of course, I don't need to tell you that the result was very bad, and that the poor child is now in St. Mungo's for treatment and to reverse the spell of your son "
George's mouth was open of amazement and he kept opening and closing his mouth until he said, "Aww, this is really bad."
Angelina looked at him angrily and said, "That's all you can say, George Weasley, but this is what is expected. You are the reason for all of this in the end."
George said, "Wait a minute, Angelina. Why am I the reason? I didn't tell him to do that. Why do you blame me every time?"
Angelina said, "It's your genes, George. You passed on to my son the genes for deception and pranks and for being naughty even at this young age."
George said, "He is a child, my dear, and these are all normal for children."
George tried to calm his wife down, so he smiled at her lovingly and winked at her and said, "But you, my beautiful wife, are also very naughty, and last night is the best proof of my words."
Angelina's cheeks turned very red and she looked around at her son, Professor McGonagall, and Ron after she heard her husband's lewd and naughty flirting.
Minerva and Ron pretended to look elsewhere, although a slight blush spread across Minerva's cheeks and Ron's ears were completely red.
Angelina said, "What are you saying, George, you idiot? We are in a public place and , Fred is here."
George said in an indifferent voice, "Don't worry, Angelina. I'm sure he doesn't understand what I mean." After that, Angelina looked at him and George continued apologetically, "Sorry, my dear."
After a silence that lasted for a few minutes, George said, "But I don't know yet why you came. I think Freddy's punishment could have waited until I returned home, and then we could agree on an appropriate punishment for him."
Farid shouted in his childish voice, "No, papa, I don't want to be punished, please."
Angelina looked at him and said, "Of course you will be punished, Fred Weasley. Playing and messing around with a magic wand is a very dangerous thing, and I warned you more than once not to hold any real magic wand. Look what happened because of you to the poor boy."
Farid looked at his feet, with signs of shame and guilt on his face, his cheeks turning red.
Angelina sighed and said to George, "Fred and I have to go to St. Mungo's to visit Mrs. Smith's family and apologize to the boy's family and wish the boy a speedy recovery. I can't take Roxanne with me to St. Mungo's."
George said quickly after he understood why Angelina came to the store, "No, Angelina, I can't take care of Roxanne now. We have a lot of work today."
Angelina said, "You are their father, George. You must bear responsibility with me." She gave the bag containing extra clothes, diapers, and milk bottles for baby Roxanne to Ron, who was standing next to George.
Then Angelina gave baby Roxanne to her father and said, "Don't worry. I won't be late. I'll come get her as soon as Fred and I finish this visit, okay?"
George sighed and said, "Did you give me another choice?"
Angelina, who held little Freddy's hand, said, "Be careful not to let Roxanne put the toys and tricks in your office in her mouth. She loves to discover everything with her mouth."
George said, "Don't worry, my dear Angelina, I will take good care of her."
Angelina looked at Minerva and smiled lovingly at her and said, "I wanted us to talk a little, Professor, but as you see, I must go now. See you, Professor."
Minerva said, smiling at Angelina "See you, Angelina, and see you, Fred."
Fred waved to his father, uncle Ron, and Minerva and said, "bye."
Ron, who was holding the baby care package, and George, who was holding Roxanne and Minerva, stood .
Minerva said, "So you've been hiding from me all this time?"
Before anyone could speak, baby Roxanne started screaming and crying after she realized that her mother was not there.
George tried to calm her down, saying, "Calm down, my little girl. What's wrong? Look, we're in the store and we're going to play together and enjoy our time until Mama comes, my beautiful princess." But the baby kept crying and moving in her father's hands.
George looked at his brother standing next to him to help, so he went and started wiping the tears from the baby girl's face with his handkerchief, saying, "What's wrong, Roxanne? Don't you want to play with papa and Uncle Ron for a little bit?"
The brothers began to silence the child and make her laugh, but she continued to cry, and the workers and customers near them began to look at them and at the child.
Minerva's heart ached when she saw the baby girl crying, so she approached the brothers and said, "Give it to me, George. I will try to silence her and calm her down." And George gave it to her gently.
Minerva took little Roxanne and started shaking her gently and saying, "What's going on, miss? Everything is fine. Shhh shhh." And she began to sing to her in a sweet and gentle voice a song she used to sing to her daughter Athena when she was little.
The little girl crying stopped and she started looking at Minerva with curious eyes as she listened to her singing.
After Minerva finished, she smiled at the baby and placed a gentle kiss on her little nose. She began wiping her tears and adjusted the baby position until Roxanne rested her head on Minerva's shoulder with her little finger in her mouth.
Ron and George stood there in shock at what they saw for a few minutes until Minerva looked at them and said, "What's wrong with you two?"
Ron said, "Wow, I didn't know you had a sweet voice, teacher."
George said, "And the world continues to bring us all that is strange and wondrous."
"What do you mean, George Weasley?" Minerva said, narrowing her eyes at him.
George said quickly, "I don't mean anything, Professor. What I mean to say is that your voice is beautiful and your singing is wonderful," and he smiled at her.
Minerva sighed, "Thank you, both of you."
George said, "I think you came to us, Minerva, because of one of our tricks. Come, we will talk in the office on the second floor." He extended his hand to take Roxanne, but she buried her head in Minerva's neck.
Minerva said, "It's okay, George. Leave her for a while until it calms down. Let's go to the office, then."
Ron, George, and Minerva, who was carrying Roxanne, went to George's office on the second floor.
During this short trip, Minerva noticed that Roxanne was putting most of her hand in her mouth and sucking it vigorously, so an idea came to her about why the baby was crying.
They arrived at the office, which was medium in size and filled with some games, tricks, and schemes.
George sat in the chair behind the desk and motioned for Minerva to sit in one of the chairs opposite the desk.
Minerva sat on one of these chairs, and Ron sat on the chair next to her after giving the bag to George.
After she sat down, Minerva noticed that Roxanne opened her mouth and placed it on Minerva's chest. this confirmed her suspicion and smiled.
Minerva said, "I think Roxanne's upset is because she's hungry. Look, George, for the bottle of milk in the bag."
George searched in the bag for a while until he found a bottle of milk.
Minerva said, "Do you know the heating spell, George ?"
George said, "Of course, Minerva. I'm a good father and take good care of my children."
Minerva said, smiling apologetically at him, "Okay, don't be so upset, George, and heat the bottle."
George sighed, took out his wand, and cast a heating spell. After heating the bottle a little, he puta little drops of milk on his hand to make sure the milk was warm and not hot, so as not to burn his daughter's mouth.
"shall I feed her ?" George said as he handed Minerva the bottle.
Minerva said, "Don't worry, I can feed her." She smiled at him and continued, "As you know, I have a child and I have experience in dealing with children."
Ron said, "How is Athena, Professor? Why didn't she come with you?"
"She's at school now, and I'm not on a family visit, as I know you guessed why I came and that's why make you hid," Minerva said, looking at Roxanne, who was happily feeding her bottle now, and she looked at both George and Ron.
George sighed and said, "It has something to do with Fletch's trick, right?"
"Yes," Minerva said.
Ron said, "I swear to you, Professor, we did not know anything about this trick. One of the employees in the store thought it would be funny to produce this trick, write Fletch's name, and make it especially for him."
George said, "Don't worry, Professor. We will take care of the matter and we will solve this issue today. This is a promise from us."
Ron said, confirming his brother's words, "Yes, professor, do not worry."
Minerva sighed and said, "Okay, boys, I'll take your word for it and that you'll solve this matter."
"Well, that's it," said George. "Oh, Minerva. What an inhospitable person I am. I forgot to ask you, would you like a cup of tea?"
Minerva smiled at him and said, "No thank you, George, but it was nice of you to ask."
Ron stood up and went to one of the drawers and took a small, colorful box. He returned to his chair and said, "Here you go, professor, it's a very good sweet. It hasn't been on the market yet. We only offer it to our special guests," and he winked at her.
Minerva narrowed her eyes and said, "Ron, this is not one of your pranks, right?"
Ron said, "No, no, of course not. Look." He took one, removed its wrapper, ate it, and continued, "It is completely safe, Professor hundred percent."
Minerva accepted this special gift and thanked him.
After that, they talked a little among themselves, and they also talked about Athena, and during that time, little Roxanne finished the bottle of milk and fell asleep peacefully in Minerva's arms.
Minerva said, "It is time for me to return to Hogwarts. boys, thank you for having me and do not hide from me again."
George and Ron said together, "Yes, Professor," and continued, "And we are sorry about that."
Then Minerva kissed the sleeping Roxanne's cheek tenderly and gave Minerva Roxanne to George quietly so that she would not wake up.
George carefully grabbed his daughter and hugged her to his chest, kissed her, smiled and said, "Sweet dreams, my Princess ."
Minerva said goodbye to Ron and George, who asked her to send their kiss to Athens.
Minerva left the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes store after the trick matter was solved.
She then returned to Hogwarts.
