The powers combined with Lars and Mio were enough to extinguish Asmodeus's grandson from existence, leaving nothing more than a smear on the ground that constantly radiated smoke like an extinguished bonfire. A faint sizzling sound could be heard in the atmosphere as a remnant of what had once been a prominent Devil, accompanied by the smell of charred flesh that permeated the air and likely would continue to do so for a while yet.

Never again would this guy be a problem for anyone anymore, nor would he ever show his ugly mug.

Now that the threat had been averted, Theseus, whose face is still covered with his hair glanced at the duo in front of him, before putting his head down and sighed. 'At last, everything's over.' Theseus mentally mused, his shoulders slouching due to the sudden and drastic loss of tension. He stared at the ground for a while, though his thoughts soon began wandering to the imminent future. 'But I doubt it's far from over. Mio now has a new form, displaying her status as Satan's daughter. Now she has awakened it, she will never have the easy life she craved for…Then again, I bet she had realized a while back that it wouldn't be possible for her to walk away from this world.' he mused, frowning as he gazed at Mio's back.

Now that the redhead had gone through this ordeal, she now became very much similar to him in more ways than one. They both had lost their parents, they had both lost everything they had ever loved and as a result, they each had awakened their powers from the great pain they went through.

Yet another lost soul was forced into the world of the supernatural.

Just before he could reminisce more or get up and leave this place, Mio suddenly appeared beside him. The king of sharks nearly stumbled back in surprise if he hadn't kept his ground at the last moment. 'What the heck?! Did…?!' he began to think, barely suppressing his urge to yelp in favor of keeping cool. The way that he was being looked at made him think that he would be potentially skewered at any moment.

Satan's daughter looked at him intently while he returned the gaze with his own, like two animals silently judging the strengths and weaknesses of each other. They stared at each other's eyes before Mio slowly reached out her free clawed gauntlet to Theseus. He kept his ground and refused the urge to move back upon seeing the sight of that gauntlet nearing his face.

Instead of potentially scratching his eye out like Theseus' instincts claimed might happen, she caressed the side of his head softly and gently, like she were rubbing a smooth piece of wood. Theseus felt the metallic touch on his face, and thus while he didn't sense any kind of malicious intent for the moment, he didn't pull away from her touch. He knew what was going to happen in the next few moments, so he might as well no longer hide it from her. The blond-haired boy grasped her hand to hold it away from his face, and from there her stoic expression widened whilst at the same time a familiar light returned to her eyes.

Now that she had regained control over herself, a newly conscious Mio moved the part of Theseus' hair after he released her hand, exposing the state of his face. Calling it a mass would be an understatement, Mio very nearly had a heart attack at the sheer HORRIFIC state that Theseus' face had been reduced to. All above the bridge of his nose, essentially everywhere on the upper portion of his face had pink skin like something had sheared off the top later, exposing the tender flesh underneath. Dark spots around his forehead were likely areas that had been bleeding heavily but had dried up thanks to the cold, merciless air. Judging by their size and locations, it felt safe to assume that they extended around his head in its entirety.

Only a miracle could explain how he was still standing let alone remaining conscious.

Then there was his brutalized left arm, of which only added to her devastation.

Opposed to the downright mortified expression Mio sported, Theseus showed no emotion whatsoever like he wasn't just brutally scarred during this whole situation. Mio checked every part of his face from a different angel, even had her hands on his cheeks like she was about to kiss him before her eyes began to soften, tears were appearing from her face before the dam broke.

"Oh my god, Theseus! What the heck happened to you?!" She exclaimed, tears running down the sides of her cheeks as her lower lip trembled visibly. Inside, she could feel her gut twisting in on itself at the dreadful sight, her heart feeling like it was being torn in two at the horrendous state Theseus had been reduced to. Did she do this? Did she cause all these wounds? Mio didn't know and that was the part that scared her the most, and if she did she would have felt like an utter scumbag for hurting one of the only people who cared about her.

Even though the injuries didn't look like they happened right this moment, instead they looked as though some time had passed since they had been inflicted which sort of eased her guilt… but that just made way for the confusion and fury that swelled in her chest towards the culprit.

On the other hand, Theseus rolled his eyes nonchalantly as he pried her hand off his face. This didn't put his bangs over his face again, the male having brushed them aside before they could do so. "Now-now, no need to worry about your little head." he told her, a light smirk tugging at the edge of his lips even as he gestured to his face and busted arm with the one arm. "Not really my place to be whining, I've got two arms and legs for a reason after all." he remarked, a light chuckle escaping him.

Mio was NOT having that right now, as evident by the way she glared at him in a manner that startled even Theseus with how effective it was in invoking tension within his gut. In this form, her glares just seemed sharper which probably had to do with how… regal, this form was in comparison to her human one. "This isn't a laughing matter, Theseus!" she shouted in a scolding tone, placing her hands on her armored hips. "Look at yourself, your face has been bruised up and your arm… I can't even!" By this point, the girl looked to be struggling to keep herself together despite the waterworks already flowing down her cheeks. It looked like she would burst into additional tears at any moment.

However, Theseus wasn't having THAT either so instead, he pulled her into a one-armed hug. You know, since he had a busted one at the moment. "Now-now none of that little missy." he told her, this time more firmly and with all joking humor absent from his voice. "Don't worry, you weren't the cause of these injuries. They were just a bit of an unexpected bonus price I had to pay to get here." he told her, glancing towards Lars discreetly prompting the Devil to sigh silently, but nod in agreement and understanding.

After briefly looking down at his arm which looked WAY worse than his face did if she were to compare, Mio's teary-eyed gaze shot back up to meet that of the Shark King's. "B-But…!" she began to explain, close to wailing at this point like a distraught housewife.

"None of that, Mio. The important thing is that you're safe, and hey look you have some new threads." The male pointed out, distracting the obviously distraught redhead (as well as the blossoming feelings of warmth that spread through his chest at the worry she showed for him) by pointing at the wings of her new form. "Honestly, I have to admit I approve of the drip you're now sporting."

Blinking several times at the words Theseus said, Mio looked down at herself to notice her entire figure. She held up her hand and ran her gaze along the gauntlet covering it, slowly trailing that gaze up her arm to her shoulder and finally the rest of her body. Indeed, apparently she WAS wearing a different type of outfit, one which slowly drew an appreciative gleam from her eyes as she examined it. She twirled around as an experiment to see how well she could move in this new getup, before seeing she had a tail as well. She could feel some kind of a connection with it too, somewhat like just another appendage, and somehow she knew JUST how to control it subconsciously. When feeling something heavy on her head, Mio raised her gauntlet clad hands to the sources and felt something weird for some reason. Widening her eyes when she traced their shapes, she realized that she had not one pair but two pairs of horns protruding out her head. Two straight and two curved.

One could imagine the response she had for all of this, "How did I….when did this happen?" she questioned dumbly, glancing at her left shoulder and eyeing the multiple floating petals that formed some kind of wing-like shape.

Pocketing his good hand in his pocket, Theseus gave the answer to that question, a frown having marred his lips. "Zolgear somehow forcibly activated your bloodline, the one connected to Satan. I'll definitely admit that it had some fitting design intentions in marking you as the princess of Hell."

While digesting this info, Mio glanced around her figure once more before frowning. Another set of reminders of her origins, to the monster who had caused mass genocide like taking a walk in the park. This new form and her new powers she could feel… would she ever have no more connection to the king of demons? Did her father want her to live up to his image?

Thinking about it, the memories of ever since she'd been fooled into thinking that Theseus had 'perished' were a little fuzzy, she still remembered Theseus saying that this was HER blood that flowed through HER body.

Hardening her eyes, Mio took a moment to reach a decision. While she resented her father down to her very core for ruining the life she had, but at least there were perks of being a part of his bloodline. She wouldn't hate herself for embracing and using this power or this form, as while she may despise her father, this bloodline was nevertheless a part of her power whether she liked it or not. She would have to just accept that… which Mio found surprisingly easy to do.

When Mio was about to say something, Theseus lifted his head and sharpened his eyes in suspicion before he said the following. "It seems the bastard is still alive."

With his attention being caught by that statement, Lars narrowed his eyes at Theseus. "What are you sayin-"

"LOOK SHARP!" Before he could finish, Theseus suddenly yelled at the duo before he pulled out his bolter gun and twirled around towards the direction his instincts and sensing skills told him to.

BOOM!

CLING!

Fortunately his Bolter Gun had been durable enough to defend it's owner like a shield, because it had been able to block a strike that would have cleaved his head off otherwise.

Deep beneath the Castle, lay a room that looked like it could very well be part of some futuristic sci fi universe. The room looked rectangular in shape, and entering it one would just be able to walk up and down a single walkway along this room. On either side, one could see a bunch of machines, pipes and wires connected to one another in a mangled mess yet each of them seemed to be functional. They also looked to be well-maintained due to how little dust could be seen on them, implying that they received regular, competent maintenance.

The most important pieces of tech however, as cliche as it sounded, resided within the back end of the room: two large pods shaped like caterpillar cocoons but made of metal and observation glass could be seen attached to the back wall. They were held in place by a bunch of cabels and wires, with both their glasses showing nothing pertaining to what lay within except for a light green liquid.

At first these machines remained inert like dormant cocoons waiting for the perfect time to awaken…

BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!

…That is until the next moment when all at once everything came to life. The room's lights switched on illuminating everything, the machines themselves became buzzing with different lights on their monitors and the pipes started vibrating from the activity taking place within them. Electricity began flowing through the room, jumpstarting it like a heart that had experienced an attack on itself.

Seconds later, the left pod's liquid contents started sinking out of sight, being drained away by the single pipe connecting it to the ceiling above it. This allowed what looked to be a face to become visible behind the observation glass, but when the liquid had been fully drained the pod's front lifted itself upwards, opening up to allow the contents within to fall forward. The contents would have slammed unceremoniously into the ground…

Had a shrill gasp not escaped it alongside its eyes opening.

That contents… which turned out to be a completely NAKED Zolgear, threw his arms forwards to catch himself from falling flat on his face. His form violently trembled, new skin cells barely holding themselves together under the cold that they just now experienced for the first time. His whole form, while as naked as the day he had been brought into this world, lay covered in the gelatinous substance that had been the liquid recently drained from the pod.

"PANT… PANT… PANT…!"

Heavy, labored breaths filled his lungs that got to work, starting the circulation of oxygen throughout the Devil's body. Beneath him, remnants of the liquid pooled under him and gradually expanded outwards, as he slowly tried to stand on his own two feet. The first try…wasn't so successful and his legs gave way, resulting in Zolgear falling onto his side. "Ugh! Damnit…!" The elderly Devil grunted, frustration pooling in his gut at the current situation he found himself in. 'This was supposed to be my trump card in a few weeks time… the fact that I had to use this earlier than anticipated throws a wrench into my plans, and there will likely be side effects…!' the man thought.

Although to be fair, being reborn into a second body like those isekai novels human mortals often fantasized about was much better than completely expiring from this world and joining the realm of the dead. Zolgear had way too much to do, so much to accomplish now that everything had been put within his grasp, he couldn't allow something as minor as coordinating a new body hamper him from achieving his goals.

Nevertheless, Zolgear couldn't help but pat himself on the back as well as that of his past self for the foresight of creating a second body for himself in case he were to expire before his plans came to fruition. He had been hearing rumors of an increasingly unstable period looming over Devil Society back then, and had also seen the signs of the impending chaos much sooner than many of those old farts in their lavish homes. Cloning technology wasn't something that was considered illegal in Devil Society compared to humanity's, in fact it had once been looked at as a way of promoting their race's numbers and could have been a viable option had it not been for the copious amounts of unsolvable long-term problems like the lack of genetic diversity which would have put Devils as a race in an even grimmer state than they were in before.

However, Zolgear had managed to see the potential in cloning bodies for oneself and had thus secretly channeled funds from various 'sources' into continuing it, resulting in the developments that had just taken place. Not only did his soul manage to successfully bond with this new body, but there were noticeable differences compared to his original one. Where the original body had been frail physically yet gifted magically, this new one had more of a perfect combination of the two. This body had the physical build of an olympic athlete, strength betraying the slim twig that it resembled flowing through its veins a plenty. In fact, the closest comparison he had for this body would be those 'Night Lords' who had attacked the place where Satan's Daughter had took residence in, his current body had the height, muscle and interior that had matched those armored titans underneath all that heavy metal.

Of course as much as he disliked the notion, Devils weren't the first to produce such technology. Oh no, they had gotten it from somewhere else, that source having a MUCH greater understanding of cloning technology than they currently did. Zolgear liked to think that he was getting close to THEIR level, but a quick visit to THEIR lands had wiped out such fantasies from his mind… as well as fanned the jealous flames within him.

'Soon, none of that will matter in the end…' the old Devil thought, running a hand through his now shoulder length full mob of white hair (to his surprise, Zolgear actually missed having hair on top of his head more than he'd anticipated). 'Now that I have all the pieces where I want them to be, it will be childsplay for me to crush them and take Satan's Daughter for myself. It'll likely take longer without that absorption device she destroyed, but there should be a ritual for transferring such powers to other beings. Ideally one that kills the source so that bitch will suffer in her last moments on this earth…'

With his plan set in motion, Zolgear slowly regained control over this new and improved body he now possessed. This was proven to be the case when he stood on his own two feet without falling over, although his legs trembled from the weight forced onto them without prior preparation or training. He then turned around and started walking to the other pod, standing before it in seconds as he gazed into it's observation glass.

Slowly, he reached forwards and started pressing on it's glass a few times in a distinct way. As for why he did this, the reason became clear in the following moments when the pod opened itself like the first one had, Zolgear having to step backwards a few times (barely retaining his balance doing so) to avoid being knocked onto his backside. This also made the liquid inside spill out onto the floor around his feet, rendering it quite wet and slippery… but Zolgear didn't give a shit.

Nothing could compare to what lay within the Pod.

Current

Theseus remained locked in place with someone who had tried to sneak attack him, and someone strong too judging by how he gnashed his teeth while his arm trembled trying to hold the person back. He couldn't get a clear view of the attacker due to the attacker being so close to him, much to his chagrin, although what Theseus COULD tell was that this motherfucker had strength for days.

CRACKLE-CRACKLE-CRACKLE!

"?!"

His eyes widened however, when he saw cracks starting to spread across his Bolt gun, immediately cluing him in on the fact that it wasn't going to last much longer. What made this situation harder was the fact he's only using one hand to block the attack thanks to his broken left arm.

He needed to make a move fast before his body gave un and his fatigue would return with a vengeance. To that end, Theseus used his iron hand, transmuting his arm into iron before swinging sideways. This resulted in forcing his attacker to jump back from Theseus, breaking the deadlock.

CRACKLE!

BAM!

At the sudden loss of contact, his Bolt Gun finally broke apart with pieces falling to the ground beneath his feet. In Theseus' mind, the whole breaking occurred in slow motion, its pieces glinting under the light sources in the dungeon room before they fell to the ground, leaving only the handle. The male glanced down at the now useless handle for a few seconds before he puts it in his pocket and cast his attention to the perpetrator…

Though the moment he did Theseus IMMEDIATELY wished he hadn't.

In front of him was the most hideous thing he'd ever seen in his entire life. It resembled a humanoid clad in a similar armor to that of the Night lords and the Exorcists, but with different modifications. He could sense and feel a copious amount of souls trapped within the Armors' confines, and it reached a point to where the majority of said Armor seemed to be covered by cloth made from flesh. The wearer's face, bare to the world much to the trio's disgust, had scars all over it resembling those bloodthirsty madmen from backwater countries, especially with how his teeth were sharpened into fangs. On his waist there was a golden belt that had a screaming skeleton skull, alongside a tarp covering the majority of his waist. Held within his left hand was a blade, a combination of an eastern and french-styled blade. The blade had a metallic guard and pommel while the bottom of the blade was a purple color and the top faded into silver.

One could definitely call it a beautiful blade.

But then one had to look at the man's (?) back, in which a bunch of Tendrils seemed to be protruding out and flailing about like a bunch of wild serpents, each one twisting and coiling with multiple signs pointing to their sentience. Cruelly barbed hooks ran along their lengths, their sinuous coils looking both warm yet unsettling to the touch while their fusion point seemed to be implied to be the spine from what Theseus' observations led him to conclude.

Looked like the act of using additional limbs to fight was becoming a trend or something.

Theseus sharped his eyes while Lars teleported to the blond haired male's side, Mio joining his opposite Theseus's one. "So…..you've gone from the hideous old wrinkly bastard to a horrific disgusting thing that came out from a failed experiment from Hell itself. Seems quite fitting for you." Theseus mocked, flexing his remaining hand out. Seconds later, his Trident appeared within its grasp while his eyes glowed with power.

The man, revealed to be Zolgear, brought his long and disgusting tongue that made Theseus almost gag from the sight of it, across his chapped lips. "You and the rest of Hellsing have been a thorn in my side for too long. I was close, so close into achieving the goals I've been working towards for years." he spat, dark purple lightning crackling along the blade's edge whilst a matching aura started to form around it.

"A thorn in your side? Please." Theseus scoffed at him, rolling his eyes while continuing to mock the Devil. "I-no, maybe most people from Hellsing have heard this plenty of times. We can barely count on how many repeat all that shit. I'm pretty sure its hitting the world record by now." he spat, a mocking smirk forming on his lips.

Behind this however, a serious sense of revulsion and morbid disturbance lay within Theseus' gaze as he ran it across the man's form. Theseus knew for a fact that it was Zolgear due to the energy signature he had perfectly matching the elderly Demon, but this body was obviously something much different than the other one, some kind of body transfer type shit? Theseus only heard of such things from some of Alucard's stories about people replacing bodyparts with cybernetics, but neer whole bodies like this plus this didn't look like ANYTHING mechanical, just purely organic.

Who knows what this bastard was capable of now?

This sarcasm didn't sit well with the demented-looking Devil, a feral snarl escaping his fanged maw as he made the following hiss. "Insolent fool! I will not be denied my prize! I have waited for this very moment for centuries! Then you!" He pointed at Theseus with no small amount of rage inside of him. "You had to ruin everything! You just couldn't stay dead, could you?! You and the rest of Hellsing couldn't just meddle into someone else's business!"

In comparison to the furious Devil, Theseus shrugged rather nonchalantly at the pitiful whining from this hideous being. "Pretty sure it's pretty obvious that Hellsing sometimes butts in on other people's business, damn pedo. ESPECIALLY when our interests are concerned." He retorted, though in the following seconds the atmosphere's tension skyrocketed when darkness covered his face, only exposing his glowing green eyes. "Hellsing is not something you can mess with without consequence. Everyone in the world knows that by now. You mess with one of us…you mess with the whole of Hellsing itself. No matter where you go, no matter where you hide Hell will follow you." He declared, water already starting to conjure itself into existence while he strode forwards towards his foe. The water began to condense around his Trident's tip, spiralling around it like a swirling vortex whilst winds began to condense into clouds above their heads, thunder booming throughout. "Even if the world is destroyed we will never rest until you are within our grasp."

"Hah! We shall see about that, you meddlesome brat!" Zolgear snarled, already dashing forwards towards him. His sword crackling with violent lightning, the armored monstrosity swung towards Theseus' head with the intention of performing a quick decapitation. Mio was his primary target after all, so him and any others would be fair game.

Reflexes saved the male, as Theseus leaned backwards to avoid getting beheaded, but this allowed him to see the Tendrils already curving in for an overhead strike from above. Gripping his Trident, Theseus pointed it's tip upwards and unleashed a burst of water that shot to the wall behind them both, puncturing a hole through it but also deflecting the attacks from their intended target.

He then proceeded to counter by jabbing the Trident's rear end smack dab onto his opponent's foot, hearing an audible CLANG sound indicating his attack's successful landing. Using this to his advantage, Theseus created a headwind beneath him while jumping, allowing him to leap over his opponent (slicing at the Tendrils which lashed out at him with his Trident) before flipping backwards and rearing his weapon back as if prepping for a Javelin throw. Something which he promptly did in the following seconds, tossing the weapon down after coating it all with water and Lightning.

CRACKE-CRACKLE-BOOM!

The thrown Trident did connect with something… but it wasn't Zolger who had managed to hop to the side at the last moment, instead it was the dungeon floor which immediately got engulfed in an explosion of lightning in the following second that was as big as a van. The shockwave from the attack also blew Zolgear further back by a few meters, though ti would have been more had it not been for his Tendrils digging into the ground and acting as anchors to slow his movement to a halt.

After recovering from this, Lars looked up and watched his Tendrils start moving erratically, slicing through what looked like Spheres made from pure magic energy prompting him to glance towards Lars. "Damn you…!" The Devil snarled angrily.

Lars simply ignored him and conjured a bunch of Magic Spheres around himself which formed a spiralling barrier. "Naruse, now!" he bellowed, causing Zolgear to look to the side. When he did, he saw Mio having already appeared close to his left flank, looking ready to launch her own offensive against him.

'Hopefully this works…!' Mio thought to herself, gritting her teeth angrily to mask the nervousness bubbling inside. Since she had just attained this new form and power, she had practically zero knowledge about how to use it currently. She had also only recently regained control over herself, so she worried a bit that it might not be forever that she could retain her mind, the lack of information she had about this form being a major source of uncertainty for her.

But she couldn't allow Theseus and Lars to do all the fighting despite the gap in experience between her and them. She hadn't been training all this time just to miss out on coming for the smoke with this asshole, and she wanted to make sure he knew EXACTLY what she felt about him and his schemes. Hence, why she just decided to wing it and see what happened as a result. Following her instincts seemed like the best bet to go off of, especially since Theseus did the same and he was still kicking, so she threw her forearm out as if she were going to thrust it towards Zolgear like some kind of bashing attack.

The moment she did so, the petal segments on her back that assembled into her wing suddenly split themselves apart. As individual pieces, they reshaped and reformed themselves around the space in front of her forearm, forming a segmented shield-like structure as big as her entire upper torso.

WHAM!

"?!"

Not questioning it, Mio went with her instincts and launched a shield bashing strike by thrusting her arm forwards. While Zolgear did seem startled in the first couple seconds, his Tendrils reacted on their own and impaled themselves against it, blocking the strike from connecting with their owner.

Nevertheless, Mio's eyes flashed as her body seemingly moved on its own, rearing back her Lance (which she only now just noticed she had) before proceeding to launch a series of slashes in a cross-like formation. Each strike got blocked or parried by Zolgear who had angled his sword to reflect them away from him, but Mio ended her onslaught by leaping into the air and bringing her Lance downward in an overhead smash. The way the whole thing ignited into crimson flames with a blackened core served to enhance the weapon's effects as well as create a massive fiery explosion akin to the lightning one that Theseus' attack had previously created.

BOOM!

"Guh! So, this is her fathers' power…"

Zolgear snarled as he took a big leap back from Mio to gain some distance, the redhead refusing to let that happen and thus gave chase by leaping after him, her 'shield' switching back to it's wing form on her back. She repeatedly coated her Lance in fire that she then thrusted towards him, launching several fiery 'Lances' at Zolgear with the intention of impaling him. Fortunately for the Devil, his Tendrils kept lashing out and deflecting those strikes into their immediate surroundings while he himself glanced upwards when he sensed bloodlust aimed from up there.

The moment he did so…

"?!"

Instantly, Zolgear slid to a halt while he lurched forwards, his eyes trembling wildly as a wave of breathlessness overtook him. In his mind, everything spontaneously transformed and before long he found himself struggling to breathe in the midst of a deep-deep ocean. Horror, shock and confusion roared within his chest as he struggled to breathe let alone escape, especially when he saw various slitted eyes open all around the dark depths.

Falling down from above, a Lightning-covered Theseus smirked when he saw his [From the Depths] had hit its mark. 'Got him!' he thought victoriously while throwing his remaining hand out towards his Trident intending on recalling it back to him in time to deliver a fatal blow to the bastard, ending this squabble once and for all.

Unfortunately…

SMACK!

"Guh!"

…Theseus failed to account for the Tendrils that spurred into action upon his nearing their distracted master. They had instantly lashed out and smacked him in several spots: the side of his face, his hip, beneath his armpit and waist, knocking him far away and into the nearby wall where his body created a loud crash sound upon impact.

BOOM!

"Ugh! Fuck…!"

"Theseus, are you alright?!" Mio's loud shriek rang in his ears after the redhead broke off her previous attack, having launched an energy blast towards Zolgear followed by some Magic Spheres from Lars that spiraled around the Devil, keeping him in place for fear of their detonation. The redhead had then shot into the air and landed right next to the male, kneeling beside him while checking for any new wounds.

Fortunately there had been none, and despite the pained hiss Theseus made whilst sitting himself up, the male looked to be rather decent… as decent as he could be currently. "Ugh… I'm good Mio, just forgot about those fucking hentai Tendrils…" he muttered, before aiming a flat gaze towards her when he heard her lightly 'eep' and saw the slight reddening of her cheeks. "Blame Maria, that pervy Succubus tries a lot of… creative things." he explained shortly to correct any misunderstandings. He did NOT want to seem like a fucking pervert in her eyes… perversion was one of things he loathed the most in the world after all.

Reminded him of that day everything went to shit.

"R-Right…" in an attempt not to sound awkward while internally sighing in relief that it had been Maria's fault not Theseus', Mio glanced over to Zolgear who looked to have recovered from the illusion created by Theseus' bloodlust. He now seemed to be engaging Lars Magic Spheres whilst being careful not to let them get too close. "Whilst Lars is doing well he can't last for long without help…"

Theseus nodded his head as the two stood up. "Yeah… Those Tendrils have a will of their own, hence they likely weren't effected by my [From the Depths] because I neglected to include them as targets." He mused, mulling over the reason why they had been able to strike at him and save their master from death. Theseus held his good hand out and summoned his Trident back to him, causing the male to look down it's form and give a thoughtful hum. "Really gonna have to figure out a name for this guy…"

"Maybe we can brainstorm together after this has been dealt with." Mio suggested, hopefully, nearly bouncing in her step when the blonde wordlessly nodded his head in response. Though this soon faded as she grew a stern gaze, glaring at the frantically struggling Zolgear whose Tendrils had started slicing away at the Magic Spheres surrounding him before they could detonate. "Anyways, those things are proving to be quite the nuisance. If they have sentient will, then that would explain why they've been acting the way they have though it seems that Zolgear has limited control over them…"

Again, Theseus nodded at her assessment as Lars landed next to them, the male swinging his Trident up to generate a water wall in front of them that blocked Zolgears' Tendrils from slashing them to pisces. "Yup. I noticed the way they moved seemed more like an animal's movements than a human's, meaning their sentience must be at least half that of a normal person's. I'll be able to slow them down with [From the Depths], but their instincts will eventually go into the 'fight' of their flight or flight response. Cornered animals are the most dangerous after all, since they have nothing left to lose."

"They can destroy my Magic Spheres faster than they can detonate too…" Lars added in, having listened to their conversation enough to get the gist of what had been happening. At this point, Zolgear jabbed all the Tendrils into the ground to launch himself into the air like some kind of spring, and would have fallen towards them had Theseus not manipulated the water wall to curve backwards and over them like a makeshift dome and then had spikes jut out of it, nearly impaling the Devil through his armor had he not stabbed his Tendrils into it to keep himself from touching their tips. Afterwards, he pushed backwards and landed opposite the water wall, looking increasingly livid. "They're annoying little buggers, I'll give them that."

Theseus scowled, pointing his Trident at the Devil and lowering the water wall. He did this to launch a flurry of high-speed lighting bolts from the storm clouds overhead, intending on turning Zolgear into charcoal. Unfortunately, the Tendrils once more proved to be a nuisance as they rapidly thrashed about, slashing through every bolt that had been launched at him forcing Theseus to conjure a bunch of earthen elementals that rushed the Devil in the bolts' places. "Well, here's the plan then. We expose an opening and I'll try to stall those Tendrils. One of you mus destroy them at the same time in that short entry window, after that we can sever his arms and legs so he can't run away. Cauterize his wounds with flames if you must, then you finish him off." he explained, electing several nods of approval from the other two.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Lars commented, panting slightly whilst his shoulders heaved up and down. Looked like the guy had started straining himself trying to keep Zolgear at bay earlier, though judging from the duo's senses they could tell that he could still fight for a while longer. "You better uphold your end of the bargain, Theseus." he told him, and although his mask shielded it Theseus could tell that the man had shifted his gaze towards him.

To which, Theseus simply nodded. "Oh don;t you worry, I intend to keep my word. That's what Hellsing does." he told him, before breaking off into a dash towards Zolgear.

As for said Devil, he just finished disposing of the last Elemental by pinning it to the ground under his right armored boot and stabbing into it with a couple Tendrils. He looked to be mildly winded though, due to the way his chest rose and fell within his armor. "Whew, this is quite the workout… haven't been able to do this since my younger years." Zolgear mused in amusement, chuckling before his gaze switched on over to the rapidly approaching Theseus. "Ready to die, boy?!"

"Never been ready, motherfucker!" Theseus retorted sharply, jumping into a sausage spin with trails of water erupting from his body, turning him into a makeshift drill. He slammed into the Devil head first thanks to this tactic since the Tendrils, which had tried grabbing him by wrapping around his form like a snake, couldn't due to the rotation speed being too much for them. Theseus didn't like the thought of those barbs digging into his flesh, especially considering his current condition.

He also didn't fancy any more partial BOE transformations after he'd returned to full human post landing in this place either.

Zolgear meanwhile, gritted his teeth after nearly losing all air in his lungs upon impact. Theseus had hit the area in the abdomen, which had been less armored compared to the torso area. Eventually, he stopped sliding back from the impact and raised his sword to try and impale Theseus through his back, holding the weapon's hilt with both hands like it were a ceremonial dagger before bringing it down on his back seconds later…

POW!

"?!"

Sadly for him, a Lance suddenly flew at him and struck his hands gripping his sword, forcing him to drop the blade which then clattered against Theseus' back harmlessly, allowing him to palm the abdomen he'd hit with his good hand and push back, flipping away from him till he was in an upright position in the air. Gathering wind currents around him to keep himself in the air, Theseus pointed his Trident down at Zolgear, activating his Sacred Gear's power. "Go, Zenith Tempest!" he bellowed.

Afterwards, the earth on Zolgear's left and right sides suddenly started rising upwards, forming into two large fists that clenched themselves tightly. They then reared themselves back before throwing two punches at the same time, something Zolgear didn't let connect with him knowing that otherwise his movement would be restricted. Therefore, the Devil jumped backwards and avoided them, having initially thought of pressing forward but decided against it as those fists would have caught him by his Tendrils instead.

Speaking of his Tendrils, Zolgear saw them wrap around the hands and dig their barbs through their hardened shells, before pulling back and ripping them to pieces which they then used as projectiles that they threw towards Mio, who had been rushing towards Zolgear from his left front. The said redhead simply formed her shield again while holding her free hand out, her Lance shooting into the air before sailing back towards it's master.

During the flight, Mio noticed the weapon briefly glow with a crimson light surrounding it, before it suddenly flashed and in it's place, she grasped a large sword. The moment she grabbed it, her mind flashed with images too fast for her to completely make them out, but she DID get a good look at the sword which had been granted to her by Zolgear, who referred to it as a weapon her father had forged and it had been one she'd fused with her Lance.

Judging from their appearances, Mio decided to give the Lance the name 'Midnight' and the Sword the name 'Inferno'.

That aside, Mio gripped Inferno's hilt tightly as she got in close to Zolgear, swinging the blade towards his face of which he blocked it by holding his sword vertically in front of himself. The two blades met, resulting in a deadlock as the two wielders pushed against one another in a battle of strength, Mio's wing having reformed in the meantime.

"You're… a real asshole, you know that?!" Mio spat venomously, her black and red eyes ablaze with molten fury towards the smugly grinning Zolgear. "That 'portal' you said would lead to the Umbral Plains… it wasn't a portal at all!" She bellowed, catching Zolgear by surprise slightly but not enough to swing the deadlock into her court. Nevertheless, she believed her words and while she had his attention she decided to elaborate on her point as her Demonic Power began to swell within her being. "I know portals myself… Maria used them a few times to help us escape our pursuers, and that was no portal! My senses told me that it didn't lead anywhere, which can only mean one thing…!"

Zolgear, hearing all of this, finally decided to drop the act and let out a bellowing bout of laughter, pushing Mio back and throwing his free hand forward, his Tendrils lunging at her with the intent of grabbing her. "Hahahahaha! So you noticed, huh? Well, too late you fraud! You do not deserve the power that you wield, only someone truly loyal to Satan should lead the Demons to claim back what is rightfully ours! We shall return the Devils to being our servants, so one way or another I am CLAIMING your power as my own!" He bellowed, holding his hand out to form a magic circle. In front of that circle, a sphere of energy began to form. "Now fall filthy fraud!"

WHEEEEEEE!

At once, the sphere erupted into a laserbeam, one which sailed towards Mio who promptly reformed her Shield and held it up to block it. The instant it made impact, the redhead gasped and nearly cried out at the force behind it as the attack sent her flying backwards. She briefly glanced behind her through one open eye, the other being closed, and noticed a rapidly approaching wall which if she did nothing Mio would be slammed into in the following seconds. Therefore, the redhead decided to fling Inferno towards Zolgear's face with the weapon spinning like a wheel. While it was deflected away from him, it did give Mio the opportunity to bend backwards and let her shield divert the beam attack away from her, allowing her to crash onto the ground and roll across it before she used the momentum to rise into a crouching position.

Once more, Mio followed an instinctual urge and raised her free fist to the air. Where these urges were coming from she didn't know, but the heiress to Satan didn't hesitate to follow them, this one makin her smash her fist into the ground. The moment that she did so…

PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW-PEW!

… A whole LINE of long, black stakes burst out from the ground in twisted, jagged and slanted positions. The trail rapidly advanced towards Zolgear, who quickly jumped to the side to avoid the trail lest they restrained his movements.

"Whoa…" Mio mumbled, frowning to herself while pulling her fist back. In that instant, the stakes receded back into the ground as the redhead launched herself at Zolgear and summoned her Sword back to her. The redhead quickly closed the distance between them once more, Inferno once more meeting Zolgear's blade as the two started trading blows with one another fast enough that their arms began to resemble blurs due to their motions.

SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH!

They went, almost dancing as the duo darted around the dungeon floor with many gashes forming on whatever lay within their immediate vicinity. Constant sounds of metal clanging against metal filled the air, sort of like the beat of a song Mio would later think to herself, but right now the redhead side flipped a 360 degree slash Zolgear did, then performed a downward slash in retaliation. She ALSO noticed that the Tendrils were connected to what looked like some kind of organic structure attached to Zolgear's back at this point, something she made note of for future endeavors.

After curving his Tendrils into a circular shield to block the strike, Zolgear made them lash out to try and grab the redhead. However, Mio leapt back to gain some distance, causing the Devil to snarl with his gaze becoming increasingly feral by the second. "This is growing tedious… time to finish you off for good!" he bellowed, making ot launch his Tendrils at the redhead while she remained in the air from her prior leap.

Just when they did…

SHRIEK-SHRIEK-SHRIEK-SHRIEK-SHRIEK-SHRIEK!

In an instant, the Tendrils froze in pace and began thrashing wildly, nigh uncontrollably. They began slashing around randomly, cutting through the ground around his vicinity as well as the nearby wall next to him. Gritting his teeth, Zolgear tried to exert his control over the usually sentient limbs to bring back some cohesion, but to his shock they failed to respond to his commands. "What?!" he bellowed in shock, soon becoming outraged at this development as he glared at his frantic-looking Tendrils. "What is this?! Why do you disobey your master?!" he exclaimed.

By the time something registered in his mind that caused his eyes to widen, it became too late.

As if signaled by these events, Mio smirked after briefly glancing at an equally smirking Theseus whose eyes had started glowing, a sign to the redhead that he had activated his [From the Depths] ability on the Tendrils. They were likely freaking out at the moment from the illusion placed on them, but it wouldn't last long so she had to make her move fast.

Lifting her leg up, Mio stomped on the ground beneath her feet. The moment her foot met the ground, Mio felt something 'leave' her body and head straight towards the furious abomination of a Devil. That something soon reached it's target, and revealed itself in the form of a burst of stakes that erupted beneath Zolgear, trapping him within their 'cage'. The more important thing, more important than even how it forced him to hold his arms out like some kind of cross, maybe describing him as a crucifixion victim would be more fulfilling, would be how it somewhat restrained the Tendrils by forming stakes around their bases. "There, do what you need to Lars!"

"Much obliged, Mio!"

At this point, Zolgear finally realized what the trio had intended to do to which he aimed an almost maniacal glare towards Lars. "You bastard! I won't let you-" he began to say while trying to float out of the 'restrictions' he'd been put in. However, before he could do so several sharks made from water shot towards him from multiple angles and bit into his shoulders, keeping him in place.

Their source came in the form of Theseus, who kneeled a fair distance away while grinning downright savagely. "Heh, checkmate you damn pissant…" he muttered, feeling the strain of keeping his illusion up on multiple frantic Tendrils while maintaining the sharks at the same time. It proved to be… more difficult than he'd expected.

Fortunately, he didn't have to tell Lars to do anything as the man had already acted. He'd leapt over Zolgear after getting close enough, flipping about till he was right over his opponent, several Magic Spheres floating around his right forearm. "This… shall be the end." he stated, darkly, launching the spheres.

In no time at all, so Zolgear didn't have time to even register them, the Magic Spheres reached their intended targets…

BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!

… All the Tendrils, Zolgear's arms and Legs instantly erupted into fountains of crimson blood.

The moment that the said Devil's screams filled the air, became the moment that his defeat had been assured.

"GGGRRRAAAAHHHHH! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!" Zolgear shouted in distress, denial, and rage over how these trios were able to defeat him. He had everything planned out, his new body should've destroyed and beaten those brats.

His armor, his weapon, his sword, and the abilities he possessed.

But fate was not on his side. It was all because of these….. these bastards! But the main culprit he blamed was the one standing a few feet away from him, with his eyes glowing and the one who made the sharks currently holding him in place. If only it weren't for him, he would have succeeded in stealing Mio's power. If it weren't for him, he would have became the newest Satan, then the ruler of all life in the underworld.

While he mulled over every fantasy he had involving dismembering Theseus for his transgressions against him, Lars and Mio walked up to him with the strong intent of killing him. Their eyes blazed in fury as he attempted to get out of the sharks grip, but they held him in place. Under a mental order from their maker, the Sharks punished Zolgear for his transgressions by sinking their teeth deeper into his flesh, causing blood to spew out by the galons.

Before long, Zolgear finally sensed two presences before him, causing the Devil to look up into the vengeful gazes of the redhead and his traitor agent.

Widening his eyes in fear and just as he was about to make a sentence, begging for his life. Lars and Mio unleashed their full power, Lars conjuring magic spheres with his aura surrounding him and Mio with her sword Inferno blazed in fire and her red aura surrounding her as well.

Mio spoke with a hardened tone. "The first time you got away that easy, the second time however will be your last." Grabbing his neck, she made him stare into her face. "You killed my parents, forced me to be on the run, you destroyed everything that I cared about in the past. You ruined my life." Her eyes glint, covering her whole eyes, making it look she doesn't have any pupils.

"I hope that when you die, you will reach into the far depths of Hell, where my father resides. If you meet that bastard, I hope he has something reserved personally for you." Mio declared to Zolgear before she stood back, side by side at Lars before she and Lars prepared to launch their attacks on Zolgear who is absolutely looking terrified now. No words came out from his mouth or could form a sentence.

Theseus stood back as he watches the duo prepare to end the life out of Zolgear, getting rid of him once more. Hopefully, he won't be back from this time and if he does. The male will look for where is his source of immortality and destroy it. His only way of coming back to normal.

However just when he was about to dispel his conjured sharks, when Mio and Lars began preparing to end Zolgear permanently, they released both of their attacks at once. Lars smashed his magic spheres onto him and Mio unleashed the full force of her blade, making a slashing wave. Before the attacks could arrive Theseus saw Zolgear starts to grin which sets off alarm bells in Theseus.

Widening his eye. "Wait! Stop! Zolgear has something up his sleev-"

However just when he was about to do something to stop them, the duo had already killed him.

Theseus widened his eyes and cursed out loud. "DAMMIT!" he cursed out loud in the castle.

Somewhere

"Ahahahahahaha! It worked!" Zolgear, clad in his original appearance before his transfer to that other body, laughed victoriously, spreading his hands out like a preacher. "I have successfully entered the soul of Satan's daughter! Ahahahaha!"

Zolgear continued to laugh maniacally for a while longer, relishing the chance he had to take what he had wanted this whole time. This was his back-up plan, in the case that he couldn't steal the girl's power on his own. In that case, he might as well steal her body instead, adding her soul to his Armor's stocks. They were actually fooled into thinking they had killed him, but what they didn't know was that through the years of alchemy and magic craft Zolgear had devised something that would prolong his life.

The Armor of Shrieking souls.

Creating it had been a daunting task and he'd had help from a special source to acquire the knowledge alongside the resources needed to build it. He'd modified it using many formulas and foul magic craft before he had been able to finish his masterpiece. Thanks to the Armor however, Zolgear became capable of constantly reincarnating within the body of any being that managed to kill him, effectively making him immortal. He first enters the soul of those who has killed him, then slowly he would take control over the soul which then become trapped inside of his power armor and from there he takes control over the victor's soul.

Though he could acknowledge they did gave him a good battle that made him stretched his legs, but that doesn't matter at this point. He was now inside of Mio's soul and soon, he would take control over it once he gets a better grasp of her soul.

To start this off, Zolgear paused his delight before looking at his surroundings to try and get an idea what he was dealing with.

All around him, Zolgear laid eyes upon entire FIELDS full of crimson roses, resembling a bunch of hills like some sort of countryside, along with azure blue skies. A beautiful and breathtaking site a normal person could say.

"Hmmmmm, what a lovely site this is..." Zolgear mumbled under his breath while taking one rose out from the field before putting it closer to him. Upon closer inspection, he recognized this flower after hearing reports of many young male Devils presenting packs of them to females. The thing was, these were usually used on women these Devils attempted to woo into being their mates, and it stemmed from a little something from humanity. To most mortals, these flowers symbolized deep emotions and the desires of a person's internal feelings.

Essentially, these Red roses represented something that grips teenagers a lot: love.

"Ah young love, what a wonderful lovely romance the girl has." The old Devil mused to himself, memories coming back to him of his own younger years when he wooed and seduced many a Devil for his own gain. There were also times when he tasted samples of some succubi when no Devil women were available, resulting in him knowing EXACTLY how to please a woman. One could say it was a norm for Devils of his generation to have had lenty of sexual experience, especially since it had been used as a coping mechanism during the Great War.

Nevertheless, his demeanor suddenly shifted to a more sinister tone after a short moment. "Ah, well. It is a shame." smiling evilly, Zolgear clenched his fist crushing the rose within his hand. "A shame that she will never experience that bliss, for it will be her own fault for letting her guard down. Oh, how I would love to see the look and emotion that blond brat will feel when I take over her soul. He won't kill me because he is also in love with her." He said to himself, thinking its a great idea. The weakness he'll have over that unkillable brat.

As someone with centuries worth of experience, Zolgear knew when to tell that someone was in 'love' with another. He had seen it countless times amongst the youth and sometimes within his own subordinates during the war, leading to mass breeding to try and keep their race's numbers up since Devils had notoriously low birth rates. Therefore, it had been childsplay to see who it was that this bitch had the hots for, which made it all the amusing when he discovered the way that blonde brat looked at her. It seemed like the feelings were sprouting within him too, likely he didn't even realize it yet.

Which made what he would be doing soon all the more fulfilling.

He squated down and was about to spread his essence (Not that kind of essence you perverts). Across the field, smiling victoriously at the thought that he had won this round. "Soon, you will regret the day you were even born. You have no one to blame but yourself..." Zolgear muttered under his breath, even though he knew that the redhead wouldn't be able to hear him.

There is nothing that can stand in his way. No one can stop him

No one.

That is, until he felt something else. It made him stop what he was about to do when it made him shudder and turn pale all of a sudden.

"What…..what is this I'm feeling?" Zolgear shakily said to himself. Widening his eyes as his body couldn't move for only his mouth could. "What is this energy? What sort of sorcery is this?" Zolgear muttered.

He feels terror all of a sudden as if Mio's soul had a defense mechanism. It shouldn't be possible, soul manipulation are rare ability that only a God that is domain is related to the afterlife. It didn't take him long before noticing dense evil energy that is aimed at him.

"T̸̢̧̛̙͕͖̗̹͈̗͍̖̰̀̀̔̀̂͌̆͌̿̑̃ͅḧ̷̛̰͎̯̤̂į̵̧̢͍̜̰͔̹̫̪̬̳̩͑̋̇̄͑͊́͒̕s̴̻̜̟̀̋̇͌̆̾̈́͌͗͝ͅ ̸̡̢͔̘̱̙̠̟̗̦͋̎̄̊͗͒̉̆̓́̊͐̂͝ỉ̷̢̢̛̖͕͔̬͍̞͚͕͚̰̳̟̋̽̈̾̈́́̔̓̉̈́͘͜͠s̷͇̺̗̻̾̽́͑̉ ̸̰̰̘̘̗̓̽ͅn̷͍͙̼̱̮͉͉̗̱̈́̌̈̂̄͠͝o̵̢̡͉̼̦̘̬̝̖͈͗̓̄̏͑̒̒̀̂̋̋̋̌͘͜͠ ̴̮̯̺͙͕̪̱̐̓́͊͂̋͛͌s̵̡̡̹͕̥͕̱̝͐͛͑̆̈́͌̓͋͋̃̕͝͠͠o̴̜͋̋͊̍͑̽̎͗͒̀̾̕r̷̢͋͂̅̃̈́̕͘͝ͅç̴͓͉̲̺͍͖̼̖̅̐ẻ̵̱̫͛̒̊̓ȓ̴̨̢̢̞͙̫̯̯̬͎̠̖͙̥̌̾̊̕͜ÿ̵̪̑̒͌̂̿̉̇͒͌̂͛̈́͝͝."

A distorted voice echoed through the soul, sounding almost like the death bells for the deceased as they passed onto the other side. Zolgear widened his eyes in fear when he noticed that all of a sudden the roses around him began to die. They slowly lost all their color before weathering into ashes.

Before long, Zolgear stood in the middle of an ashy desert, completely devoid of the previous beauty like it had been all an illusion in the first place.

Zolgear then heard something rumbling beneath him, so he looked down towards his feet. As such, he nearly fell onto his backside when trees suddenly sprang out, one in front of him before more followed suit throughout the desert, rising to HUMONGOUS sizes. They weren't even normal trees either, for instead of wooden bark these ones looked to be made from molten rock, small rivers of lava slowly spewing down from holes in their trunks. From their bare branches, the trees began to sprout something unusual, something that held no place within ANY flora ecosystem… entire hearts.

Human, Devil, Animal, all kinds of different hearts… each one beginning to pulsate like they were alive.

"Ahhhhh! What is this?! How can something like this be inside of the girl's soul?! What kind of abomination is she?!" Zolgear cried out in fear as the sky around him began to change color, an eerie crimson rapidly spreading across the sky like a plague.

"Requested?!" Zolgear gaped when he heard what the distorted voice said, repeating the words before the skies now started raining waterfall. Though to the Devil's horror he quickly noticed something off. The driplets color was red, staining the ground around Zolgear's feet. He soon realized what it was judging from the metallic scent it carried when he sniffed some that had landed on his shoulders: Blood.

"Father?!" Zolgear repeated the words once more before he became pale with horror at the realization ation of who he was speaking to.

He was speaking to the father of Mio Naruse.

The one who rules the demons.

The originator of all that is evil.

Zolgear got into his knees and looked at the sky with his hands interlocked with a terrified expression. "My lord, please forgive me! I never thought you would be still alive! Forgive me! "AHHHHHHH!" Zolgear screamed out in pain when his stomach suddenly pulled itself out, spewing his guts, his stomach and organs across the ground. He can feel his eyes coming under extreme pressure in a flashing second, before one of them popped out of his head. Its fleshy tendrils still attached themselves to the eye ball, leaving it hanging from his empty eyehole.

Zolgear felt himself being lifted up to the air telekinetically.

CRREAAK!

CRREAAK!

CRREAAK!

"AAAHHHHH!" He screamed in pain when his bones were twisted and mangled into pieces. His hanging eye was pulled out from its socket before it was ripped apart. His arms and legs become mangled, blood was spilling out of his limbs.

"ACK! GUCK! GUH! AUUUGH! PUHLEASSE!" Zolgear attempted to plead with the lord of evil.

His request was denied when the tongue was forcibly pulled out, spilling blood from his mouth. "AAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Zolgear again screamed out in pain, the power of his lungs were being surpassed. Exceeding its limits… it wouldn't be long before his death would come for him.

All the while, Satan himself simply stared at the dying Devil soullessly, then looked up towards the blood red skies.
