Before I begin, this is just a warning, this chapter gets a little 'dark' toward the middle, if you do not like the idea of stalkers/killers etc, please consider avoiding this one. I really was on the fence of deleting it because I began to have nightmares from getting myself into the mindset of writing a somewhat horror related story, but I really wanted to write a story where a Pokemon known for being cruel/malicious, changes how it is in the face of human cruelty, and how it lets go of all that bitterness/hatred it had its entire life...
If enough people really don't like it, I'll delete this particular story entirely, but... well I wrote this story in the hopes that people like the happy ending of what happens.

Trust and love can easily be mistaken as one or the other when viewed through the eyes of those that have something they cherish within their hearts. For the heart is one of the most trusting and loving entities that one could ever have inside of them. To trust one with one's heart is to trust that they will never hurt or abuse it. But to one who has never known what it is like to be loved 'or' to trust, such a thing could be impossible to describe just how wonderful it is to have one of them~

[Narrator]
[Paldea, a beautiful land, rich in culture, Pokemon, and it is here that we share our story tonight. While Pokemon and Humans have lived together and worked together in what some may say a beautiful and harmonious relationship, in the history of the Pokemon World, it was not that far back when people and Pokemon didn't live and work together so closely. In fact, one need only look to records found of ancient Sinnoh, often referred to as Hisui, a time when Pokemon viciously attacked and cautiously lived with and around humans.]
[In recent times, a strange phenomenon has begun to occur in the region of Paldea, and it has become the gossip of many trainers and citizens alike across the region. Pokemon, from the distant past, that by all reasons should not be possible in this day and age, and yet they exist! A 'Paradox' as it were, a Paradox Pokemon...]
[Originating in the great crater of Paldea it seems, these Pokemon appear few and far between outside of the crater, but this is probably only the beginning, of a great new adventure taking place for everyone in the Paldea region!]
(Multi PoV)
Frederick slowly climbed out of the Squakabilly Taxi Cab and paid the man driving him and his girlfriend over to the East Provinces of Paldea, specifically just outside a little stretch of an area known as Tagtree Thicket. The area was known to be filled with various species of dark and grass, poison and fairy, and even a few bug type Pokemon. Some of these Pokemon occasionally attacked wandering people going through the area, but for the most part they were friendly enough to leave them alone unless they were doing something they shouldn't be, such as trespassing into a territory they didn't belong in.
But, if a trainer had a strong enough Pokemon to ward them off, they would more often just leave them alone provided said trainer leaves 'them' alone.
As was the case today as Frederick walked side by side with his girlfriend, going to head toward her old stomping ground where the two of them first met.
"Jeez, it sure is sunny today!" He muttered.
He knew it was going to be hot since the area he was near was bordering a mostly dry desert-esq biome, East Paldea was 'always' known for being exceptionally dry and hot. He couldn't wait until they were in the thicket where the shade of the trees would make things more tolerable.
"So Scarlet, later tonight how would you feel abo-" He turned to look at his girlfriend, but saw that she was no longer walking beside him. "Scarlet?"
He looked around for a moment, trying to find her, until something tapped his shoulder, causing him to turn and jump in surprise at the giant Tinkaton Hammer staring him in the face inches from smacking him in the face.
Once he realized the hammer was not moving, and that there was no Tinkaton holding it, he rolled his eyes and said, "Don't do that Scarlet!" with a chuckle.
In a moment the hammer began to waver and vanish and a tall Zoroark, taller by about one and a half meters compared to the average height of her species, with a beautiful length of red for her mane, a sly grin glisteningly soft looking grey and black fur, and finally a shiny sapphire-teal bead wrapped around her mane with sharp red claws stood before him. She slyly grinned as she looked at him, trying her best to restrain her laughter as she 'knew' that she'd surprised him big time.
As for Frederick, he was a light skinned twenty-nine-year-old human, with normally dirty blonde hair but he'd chosen to dye his hair half red as a sort of, homage to Scarlet's mane. He was about six feet tall, decently built well, nothing special, but he was happy with himself and Scarlet liked him just the same. He was a more 'serious' person, but he did have a silly side from time to time concerning Scarlet and her pranks.
(Hmhmhmhm... watch yourself 'darling'... you never know what's around the corner in this area!) She said slyly as she walked to stand beside him, wrapping his arm with her own so they could walk together.
"You are so cruel to me; you know I hate it when you pull those pranks!" He muttered halfheartedly.
(Oh, get over it... don't forget, you're getting a 'special' treat today.) She said seductively as she leaned closer to him and planted a kiss on his cheek. (Remember, I've been waiting a 'year' for this day... and this is my way of apologizing for blue balling you over the weekend...)
"I have 'not' forgotten..." He muttered as he remembered how horny she was over the weekend.
Scarlet was a Zoroark, his only Pokemon Partner, his girlfriend, and many other things to him, but more importantly she was the closest thing to him in the entire world because of how happy she made him and how much she loved being with him, and the same was true for her. Scarlet loved Frederick, he made her happy, was there for so much of her life, and she could never picture life without him in her life. To her, the world could end tomorrow, but as long as she could spend one final night with him wrapped in her arms, then that would be the best way she could see her life ending.
Outside of Paldea, one might ask how this Pokemon could possibly be his girlfriend or why she would even want a 'human' to be what her species referred to as a 'Life Mate', something that her species took very seriously. The answer was simple, because they loved each other, and that was all they needed. She had not bewitched him, she didn't cast an illusion on him, though she did use her illusions for some fun tricks on him, and she didn't manipulate him or anything, she just loved him.
It hadn't always been this way, there was some rough patches and troubles, but now they were all but inseparable. It was also a good thing that Paldea approved of Human and Pokemon relationships, because if they weren't in Paldea they could never be so openly flirtatious with each other.
Speaking of being openly flirtatious, Scarlet was indeed regretful for blue balling him over the weekend, she couldn't help it, she was in her heat cycle, specifically 'today', so for the past few days she's been dealing with however she could. Over the Weekend she was trying to get him all ready for it, but a sudden call pulled him in to work on his off days. And when he went to work, she had to leave him... well blue balled as the saying goes, something she felt bitter about in more ways than one. But today, since he worked over the weekend when it was his 'days off', he had today and tomorrow off, which coincided with her heat.
A perfect chance to go visit her old stomping grounds where they first met, for a romantic time out of the house, away from eyes, just them and the environment, fresh air... and oh Arceus was she 'already' thinking of him plowing her rough and hard with all the teasing she did today.
"Alright, here we are." He said as he pushed aside some of the foliage.
She smirked as she saw that it hadn't changed much in all the years since she lived here as a wild Zorua. The tiny little nook was nestled in between several trees and bushes, a nearby stream fed into the area and her old bush that she used for shelter was still there as well.
Seeing it brought several memories... how she used to steal from the nearby town of Zapapico for food, pretending to be a homeless child dressed in drags, before running off with her stolen food. She wasn't necessarily 'struggling', but remembering the days she lived out here, alone... surviving day to day...
She was glad Frederick found her, ever since she joined him, her life has been better.
"You were so small Scarlet..." He said as he leaned down and pushed aside the little bush to look into it.
(Hmhmhmh... and you were so tall for a kid...) She told him telepathically as she stood with him, staring at the bush as well. (Remember how you came here looking for a homeless child, thinking I was a runaway?)
"Yep, and when I found you, you just confused me, but I asked you if you were alright living in the wild."
She smiled as she remembered that as well, yea, she was 'alright', living in the wild was all she's known... but having seen so many Pokemon living happily sometimes, and especially in comfort with humans, as well as those who are often in the field of Pokemon Battles and get praised/rewarded greatly for their efforts... well that weighed very heavily in favor of her joining him.
"Brings back memories, doesn't it?" He asked her warmly.
(Yes, it does...) She told him just as warmly.
Frederick turned to Scarlet and planted a little peck on her cheek, causing her to smile and return the favor, pretty soon she giggled as he ruffled her main a little to make her smile, it always caused her to shiver in delight as he rubbed his fingers through her mane.
(Oh, come here you~!) She said seductively as she pulled him into a hug and backward so that she fell with him on top.
Instantly she was kissing him deeply, moaning happily as she angled her muzzle so her lips could once more press into and share the loving embrace with his own, at the same time he wrapped his arms around her and around the back of her head to hold her closer to him.
She closed her eyes and just revelled in his caressing touches, even as she wrapped her legs around his waist and began dry humping him, trying to get him ready for their fun.
"Mhmmm oooh Scarlet... you really can't wait, can you?" He whispered as he separated from her lips.
(This heat is killing me darling, oh please just start pumping me... I want your baby so badly!) She moaned as her sex was soaking in desire, the entire time they traveled while she was out of her ball she was 'struggling' to keep herself together until they were here.
"Did you take the..."
(Yes, I took it on time again, I've checked my heat cycle, my fertility is at its highest right now... oh please stop asking and start giving me your baby maker!) She whispered feverishly, her heat affecting and clouding her mind the longer her body sensed the presence of her mate preparing to mate her.
This was her tenth heat she's had since she was well and fully matured as a Zoroark, and this was her sixth attempt trying to breed with her boyfriend. She hasn't had any success, but she swore that each time her heat came around she would do her darndest to get bred. It wasn't one sided either, Frederick was also wanting to have a family with Scarlet, but each time... she came up negative.
"Alright, and don't worry, I took it as well, so... we have our best chance today, Scarlet." He whispered softly as he gently rubbed her cheek, her eyes slightly clouded from the lust and desire she was feeling "It's alright... don't feel like we have to rush this... if it happens it happens tonight, just relax... I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you..."
She was panting heavily as she forced herself to calm down, but by Arceus' plates was it hard, her body was screaming to be bred tonight, but she forced herself to calm down, this was supposed to be a special moment. She nodded and smiled gratefully; he truly did have what it took to cool her fire... but she so wishes he'd hurry up and take her already.
Taking it slower she wrapped her arms around him and just resumed kissing him, trying to calm herself down and enjoy the moment, enjoy the feeling of his lips, his scent filling her nostrils, filling her mind with two distinct scents tha-
*Two?* She thought as she snapped to alertness.
She pulled back and snapped her head around to look around them, she smelled it again, another scent, a faint scent that smelled foreign... strangely foreign, it smelled weird and it sent her mind into overdrive as it forced itself to override her heat as whatever this scent was it didn't smell right. Something was wrong, she couldn't tell what was wrong but 'something' was wrong, there was something off, odd, out of the ordinary here in this grove.
She was about to tell Frederick to get up, to warn him, when she spotted it...
In the bushes, a pair of golden yellow eyes staring at them, glaring at them, malevolent intent behind them the instant she spotted them. Unfortunately, she also realized that there was no time to explain, as she had bit a single split second to grab Frederick who had noticed something was wrong, but was too slow to react, and roll them sideways so that she could quickly push him to safety while also jumping, just as their surprise attacker jumped out and unleashed this strange shadow-spectral like thing upon where they had been lying just then.
Frederick was quick to stand up, though a little shakily as he'd been scraped ever so lightly by the attack of whatever the surprise Pokemon attacking them used. Scarlet managed to evade it entirely thanks to her quick action, and both turned to see that their attacker was what looked like a Zoroark. At first... it 'looked' like a Zoroark to them at first.
"What the..." Frederick whispered as it stood up and glared at him, growling and snarling as it turned to him.
(What is that?) Scarlet asked in utter confusion as she'd never seen any Zoroark like that before.
The Zoroark, for it indeed resembled her species very closely, was mostly dark grey fur and purple fur points and a white wavy length of mane that frayed and wisped around it. It's pointed ears flickered slightly, much longer than what hers were, and its purple claws flexed in anticipation as it readied to attack.
It ignored Scarlet however as it continued to glare and snarl at Frederick though, baring its sharp teeth in a menacing display of ferocious dominance, it was also... they noticed, very tall, despite being hunched over because of the massive wisp of mane it had, it had to be about as large, if not ever so slightly larger than Scarlet was. Either way it was imposing even to Scarlet, who was super tall by her species standard, and standing next to Frederick he was dwarfed her.
But still, this was not a normal Zoroark, something was way off with how it was snarling and glaring at him specifically.
"Uh... is this your territory... are we intruding?" He asked nervously as he took a tentative step back.
"ZorooAAAR..." It snarled at him, eyes glowing as it stomped toward him and created these weird spectral purple waves of ghostly energy at him.
Frederick tried to get away but Scarlet was faster as she leapt over and completely covered him with her body, wrapping her arms around him and using herself as a living shield against the attack, whatever this attack was. She and Frederick scrunched in pain as they could feel this ghostly energy affecting even them, even Scarlet and her dark type body, despite her resistance it 'still' stung as she felt the strange bitter cold of what seemed like the icy slopes of Glaseado Mountain in a bitter blizzard. There was also a strange malice to this attack, as despite her resistance to it, she could just feel a strange unyielding sense of hate, bitterness, resentment, and just pure negativity that she'd never felt before.
When it had passed Scarlet opened her eyes as she looked down in horror at what had happened.
It turned out, yes, she had resisted the attack, despite the strange ghostly ice remnants coating her body resembling the ice a Glaceon might leave upon her after an ice beam, it was her beloved Frederick who seemed to have suffered the most extreme case of the attack. He was shivering violently in her arms, despite her best efforts, he had what looked like frostbite coating his skin, his cheeks were coated in frostbite, and he was breathing heavily as he tried to warm himself up.
"S-c-car... let..." He breathed feebly, shaking too much to talk.
(Shshsh... it's okay... it's okay... you'll be fine... just...)
"Zroaaaaaaaar!" The weird purple Zoroark screeched as it glared at the human she was protecting, as if protesting her defending him.
She glared and growled back just as menacingly, before she used one arm to tightly hold Frederick, and then used the other slam it into the ground and channeled her illusion powers into the ground so she could disguise them just enough to get away.
It worked, for just a split second the 'whatever it was' lost sight of them and she leapt away fast enough to find a nice little hiding spot that was very sunny. She used the spot sometimes to sunbathe when she was alone in the area when she was wild. She broke a pair of branches from a nearby tree and gently placed them with their leaves over him to provide some measure of cover and warmth until she could get him to safety properly.
"S-car... let... we... can't let... that thing... be wild and free... we need... to catch it... and..." He tried to say.
(Shuuush... don't worry I know, we need to catch it anyway so we can figure out what it did to you, I'll weaken it and then bring it here... but you need to stay safe for now.) She whispered soothingly, gently resting her claw on his frostbitten cheek. (Don't worry, I'll protect you Frederick... and don't worry about me, I can handle myself against that Zoroark.)
He nodded, painfully, but he nodded still, trusting her and knowing she would never lie to him. She smiled back, before leaning forward and kissing him gently on the lips, a 'good luck kiss', to tell him she would be back soon. She pulled back and nodded reassuringly before she turned and leapt up and away toward where she last left that Zoroark. Sure enough, it was still there, looking around in confusion trying to find where she and Frederick had gone.
She landed in the small clearing that used to be her home, her little paradise of the world before she met Frederick, and 'glared' with almost murderous intent against her boyfriend's attacker. It sensed her return and stared at her, not necessarily angrily, but it wasn't happy she had returned.
"Zroooaraar?" It growled at her, questioningly looking around with its gaze.
She just flexed her claws and assumed a battle stance. (You really pissed off the 'wrong' Zoroark today...) She declared telepathically, not hiding her hatred. (I don't know 'why' you felt it necessary to hurt my beloved life mate, ESPECIALLY... on the day... Of. My. Heat! My ONE DAY, to get pregnant! But nobody, Pokemon or Human... hurts my beloved mate and gets away with it.)
Instantly she charged and the opposing Zoroark snarled as it lashed back, both of their claws clashing in a quick burst of red and purple, arms flying as each tried to scratch, claw, swipe and otherwise inflict whatever physical damage they could upon the other. Scarlet roared as she pulled her claw back and gathered her own ghostly energy, using her Shadow Claw against her target, but as the attack was caught the shadowy energy vanished into nothingness.
Surprised, Scarlet flung her other arm up to shield herself as her opponent opened its mouth and gathered a glob of ghostly energy before launching it point blank. The attack sent her flying back for a few inches, but then she recovered after not understanding what just happened. Normally Shadow Claw worked except against Normal Type Pokemon, but this thing was as far from 'normal' as she could picture. But this didn't deter her as it roared its challenge to her and began gathering that same ghostly energy from before. She roared back just as loudly as she gathered her dark energy to launch her Night Daze attack. Both glared, both launched their attacks, and both felt the other's rage channeled into their attacks, one with this vengeful primal force the other with the ferocity and desire of a protective lover.
When the attacks ended, she shook off some of the frost coating her body, trying to get it off and focus on her fight. Her opponent, however, was staggering backward in pain as it panted against her attack, shuddering slightly.
This caused her to grin. (So... you 'do'... have a weakness. And it turns out its 'me'.)
"Zo...roa..." It moaned as it tried to back away from her, looking nervous and afraid.
(No... not after what you did to my lover...) She told it, not caring if it understood her words or not.
She charged forward and began slashing at their attacker, furiously swiping and channeling her dark power into her strikes, causing more and more damage to the purple Zoroark, its mane flailing around with each strike as it tried to counterattack, but was unable to because of the unrelenting assault from Scarlet. All they could do was block and desperately throw in hopeless counter strikes in a vain attempt to break her attack, but Scarlet was reading her moves without even thinking. It was clear this wild Pokemon was just that, a 'wild' Pokemon, untrained, undisciplined, and unable to fight against a properly trained, disciplined, and extremely pissed off female Zoroark in heat who was denied the opportunity to mate!
So, it came as little surprise that, after five minutes she backed her target into a corner, pushing them toward a tree that forced them to flinch in surprise that it was there suddenly, and that momentary lapse in judgement was all Scarlet needed to land her finishing blow. She gathered her dark energy and unleashed it in a quick burst of a Night Daze, not nearly as strong as the one she unleashed before.
In her own mind, it was 'just a tap', but a tap was all she needed to cause the Zoroark to look in surprise as it struck them.
When the attack connected, they were flung backward to land face forward on the ground, mane flopping to the ground and fraying everywhere.
Sighing in relief, she leaned down and lifted the unconscious Pokemon over her shoulder, then out of curiosity, she glanced between its legs, growled frustratingly and rolled her eyes. 'Great... you couldn't just be a male who wanted me for himself, you have to be a girl, don't you?'She thought bitterly. 'A male I can understand, another female... I shoulda stayed home today with Frederick and did roleplay instead...'
Bitterly she walked on with the unconscious Pokemon over her shoulder back to where her human was still lying on his back, she placed her opponent nearby and quickly went over to Frederick, gently holding him and helping him up while checking him. He wasn't looking well, she could see his shivering was getting worse, his eyes were struggling to stay open, and the frostbite was still there affecting and damaging his skin, and he needed medical help fast.
"Are you alright?" He asked Scarlet as he saw her looking worser for wear then when she left him.
She smiled as she gently stroked his cheek. (You think I can't handle a wild Pokemon by myself?) She asked him. (I'm a lot tougher than you, even if what those 'super competitive types' say differs.)
He nodded as she helped him to a standing position and helped him over to where the Pokemon was lying on the ground. He reached into his pocket to pull out one of the spare Pokeballs he kept on hand, but the frostbite coating his arm caused a painful reaction and he ended up flinging them out instead when his fingers spazzed out.
As a result of the four pokeballs that went flying, two of them were Pokeballs, one was a Great Ball, and the fourth was a Friend Ball. While the Pokeballs and Great Ball bounced and rolled on the ground without reaching the fallen Zoroark, the Friend Ball bounced once and expanded, tapped said Zoroark, opened up and then pulled the Pokemon into it before landing on the ground.
It shook once, twice... three times... then...
*Ping*
Scarlet and Frederick stared at the Pokeball as it pinged, Frederick still shivering and looking exhausted, while Scarlet began comprehending what just happened, and her anger at this Pokemon only grew as she saw the capture finish.
"Let's... just... call... for a taxi..." He whispered tiredly.
She nodded and helped him use his phone, tapping the buttons for him and helping him call for the taxi, pushing the 'urgent' button so that the driver knew he needed them asap. Once that was done, she collected the balls, snarling as she picked up the Friend Ball, and handed them to him. Once done she gently carried him out of the Tagtree Thicket and to where the taxi would pick them up. After it arrived, she placed him into it and sat next to him, worriedly watching him as she didn't know what effect that strange move had upon the human body. Frostbite was bad enough, covering him and damaging his skin was only what she could see on the surface level.
She looked down at the Friend Ball sitting in hand, and just glared at it, but she ignored her furry, right now... she had other concerns, as she looked tenderly at Frederick and decided to help however, she could while they travelled as fast as possible to a hospital in one of the towns on Glaseado Mountain, she didn't exactly catch the name, she was more focused on Frederick.
Tenderly, she picked him up and wedged herself underneath him so she could wrap her arms and legs around his shivering body, looking worried as she nuzzled him affectionately, letting him grip her claw and whipping her mane so it covered him a bit, providing as much warmth as she could.
(We'll get through this Frederick... we always do...) She whispered lovingly, closing her eyes and waiting for them to reach the hospital.
Ten agonizing minutes later they arrived at their destination, and she quickly helped him out, letting the medical staff put him on a stretcher and wheeling him in. As for the Pokemon, she handed the ball over to a staff member as well and then... began the waiting game. She was given a Hyper Potion, vitals taken, and the usual thing that came with Pokemon Centers so that she would be taken care of, even though this was a 'human' hospital, there was a small wing that tended to Pokemon that came in with their trainers.
After an agonizingly long two hours wait, in which she paced back and forth so much a trench might have formed had she not been walking on floor tiling, a nurse came and had her follow them to hear the news about Frederick. Frederick was lying on a bed and had lots of bandages wrapped around him, keeping him covered and protecting the frostbitten areas of his body.
"Alright, Frederick will need to stay over for two or three days, depending on how quickly his body recovers." The nurse said, reading from a notepad. "The attack used on him is rather unusual, in that we've never seen anything like it. But thanks to the report he told us, you seemed to have saved his life from a direct hit to him."
She nodded as she stood by his side, gently rubbing his hair, happy to see him sleeping despite the pain he was in earlier.
"As for the Pokemon, we discovered it is incredibly similar to your species. However, we've never seen it in our lifetime before, at least not 'our' lifetime. According to some research done, it bears a strikingly accurate resemblance to a Zoroark species native to the Unova Region, specifically referred to as in a period of time where the region was known as Ancient Hisui, many many hundreds of years ago."
Scarlet looked over and examined the new notes being shown to her, and she nodded, the greyed photo they'd printed for her did indeed look 'exactly' like the Zoroark she'd fought, mane and all.
"We do not know how it is here... many historians and other professionals are trying to understand it, but for now, they suggest that your trainer take care of it and try to learn more about it. Frederick has already been informed and has agreed to take care of her. Also, we learned that the Hisuian Zoroark is in fact a girl."
Scarlet looked at her and snarled lightly, before nodding in acceptance, and pulled a chair with her leg closer so she could sit near her human. Seeing that the Zoroark was not going anywhere, she said she'll be back to check up on him later, and left, leaving her with her lover, looking disgruntled as she stroked his cheek.
(You would agree to take care of her, wouldn't you?) She muttered. (She's lucky you were there to catch her, if it were up to me, I'd send her to some lab and let them deal with her.)
She glanced over at the Friend Ball sitting on a nearby counter, and glared angrily as she stared at the ball. Then she glanced toward her waist and tried her best to ignore the burning sensation, resisting the urge to go and 'cool off' by herself, wanting to stay by her lover's side.
(I guess we'll have to wait another year body... damnit...)
She was going to be so frustrated until they left the hospital.
And frustrated she was... because she and Frederick could only be allowed to leave after three days of hospital care.
At home Frederick explained to his boss about why he wasn't at work over the phone, and groaned inwardly as he was told that he had to help cover someone because they too were calling in sick that week, meaning he was going to be busy for several days. But after he and Scarlet settled some things and managed to eat some dinner, he explained that he had to talk to their new guest and hopefully friend and explain where she was and ask her how she got here.
Scarlet, was not as enthusiastic as he was, considering she could have killed him, but she made sure she was there, as though 'MOST' Pokemon in Paldea wouldn't dare attack a trainer immediately after being caught in a Pokeball, she also was correct when she told him, that it might not be true for a Pokemon from Ancient Hisui.
Since they lived in the snowy town of Montenevera, one because he and Scarlet actually kind of enjoyed the cold to a degree, and the two of them always found the snow romantic on cold nights when they could snuggle under an electric blanket, as well as 'other' reasons, they were able to walk outside and find a small spot that didn't have anyone nearby to be at risk. Once Scarlet was in her battle mindset, she nodded, and Frederick released the new Pokemon.
In a flash of light, the 'Hisuian' Zoroark was released into the snowy cold night air, and she stood tall compared to him. She looked around for a moment, looking at the snow, before she sniffed and turned to stare at him with her golden yellow eyes. Instantly there was a massive look of distrust from her as she glared at him, snarling and flexing her claws as if she were preparing to attack. Scarlet, in defense, gave a 'bark' of dominance and aggression, adopting an aggressive stance as the previously 'wild' Zoroark began to become aggressive.
"Zrooar..." She responded, but she was still highly distrusting of Frederick as she shrank ever so slightly.
"Well, that was 'not' the friendliest reunion since we first met, but at least we can talk now." Frederick told her nervously, glad that Scarlet was there. "How about we try this again, my name is Frederick, and this is my partner Scarlet... and I guess you are a Zoroark?"
She just stayed quiet as she glared at him.
"Something tells me the Friend Ball doesn't work on you..." He muttered as Scarlet stayed by his side. "But, in any case, I would like to know why you attacked me and Scarlet in the Tagtree Thicket."
Again, all she did was stare at him, neither answering nor apparently acknowledging his question.
"Scarlet, can you try and translate?"
She nodded and began speaking in her native tongue, not using her telepathy that she learned to do after mastering her powers and thanks to a Gardevoir helping her.
"Zorooooar Ark... Ark zoroarark rroark?" Scarlet asked, questioning the Pokemon about 'why she attacked them'.
The Hisuian Zoroark, didn't respond with words but she did respond with a confused look, which he guessed was progress, and seeing that he asked her to try again. She asked again and this time 'some' of what she said seemed to have been understood.
"Zroar, zrawark, roararks!" The Hisuian Zoroark replied.
(Alright, I think since my Ancient Hisuian is nonexistent, this might have been a mistranslation... but, just going on what she said...) Scarlet told him while she kept her arm around him protectively. (She either was... trying to 'prevent me'... or trying to 'produce me'...)
He looked at her and she shrugged her shoulders as well.
"I think we need to work on learning what she's trying to say, but I think what she was trying to 'say', was that she was trying to 'protect you'." He said as he looked to her. "Were you trying to protect Scarlet from me?"
The Hisuian Zoroark looked to him before glancing at Scarlet, who only 'glared' to get the message across, but she replied, "Zorokara Zroara, zroarra koark!"
(That's a little tougher, you tell me what you think she's saying... but I believe she said, 'She saw me being packed, and tried to fleece you!', but I don't think that's what she's really saying.)
He nodded and thought carefully, before making a decision, "Well, I don't think she understood the 'situation' we were in, but I believe she was just trying to protect you. So, Miss Zoroark, since I caught you in one of my Pokeballs, would you like a name so I can call you something besides 'Zoroark'?"
After Scarlet translated, several times, the Hisuian Zoroark nodded in acceptance, but because she still didn't seem to trust him, he figured it was because Scarlet told her he just wanted to give her a name to call her by.
After thinking carefully, he kept noticing the purple colorations in her large floofy mane that waved ever so lightly in the night breeze. The purple was a contrast to Scarlet's red mane, and he came up with a name that he liked and hoped she would as well. "Well, since Scarlet's named Scarlet, would you like the name Violet? Do you mind if I call you Violet, Violet?"
While the Zoroark listened to Scarlet's translation, she grinned at him with a twinkle in her eyes, (If I remember sweety, you named 'me' Scarlet because of the red in my fur and mane as well. Naming her Violet because of the purple in her mane and fur now?)
"I'm sorry, but I just think it fits, so sue me?" He said apologetically to her.
(Hmhmhmhm... whatever you say, oh 'master' of the clever names!) She told him with a giggle.
As for the Pokemon in front of them, after a bit of thinking, she looked to Frederick and nodded in acceptance, agreeing to accept the name of Violet.
With that, she was named Violet, and after offering a hand to her to shake, which she looked at in confusion for a bit, before accepting, 'after' Scarlet glared at her again, she followed the two of them to their small home on the outskirts of the town. They headed inside and he showed them their home, a home with four rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/living room hybrid, a bedroom, and a small storage room they used to store boxes of stuff. The home also used electric locks which activated the moment the doors closed, since he was always forgetful about locking things behind him. It was more for convenience than anything else, and unless all of the power went out, there was no real risk of anyone breaking in. They were becoming more standard nowadays, able to be locked/unlocked at the touch of a button in the owner's hand.
He showed her the couch where he quickly set it so that it would be more of a bed for her, set her up with some blankets and offered her it, and though it took him a few minutes to get her to understand, she figured out that he was showing her where she could sleep, and so she curled up and began to rest while he and Scarlet headed for their bedroom. She also took notice of several Pokeballs that were lining a nearby counter, neatly placed, but according to him they were all empty, merely mementos of better times.
Scarlet helped him lie down and snuggled into place, giving him a deep kiss before wishing him a good night, and settling down for the night.
Violet, their new Pokemon resident, however, was a night owl, and so got up after only a few hours to look around, where she looked curiously at the various things around the house, afraid to touch them because of how 'alien' and weird everything was to her. But she did slip the door to their bedroom open where she peaked inside and stared, quite curiously, at the two of them for a long time, seeing how 'peaceful' the two of them looked, before she walked away and returned to the bed.
(Violet's PoV)
She didn't know where she was, she didn't know how she really got here, and this place didn't feel like home to her. But at least where she was now, reminded her of the cold of where she did live. The snow, the night sky, everything reminded her of home...
This place was weird, it felt weird, things were not right, things weren't how they always were... but she didn't know why that was, but it was. Yet she could figure out why that was for the most part. For starters, the humans and their homes, they were vastly different compared to those in her home. The humans were also different, they wore different clothes, acted different, sounded different, even looked different if ever so slightly.
But more importantly... the Pokemon here, were very, very... very different.
She had found herself in this weird land, after appearing from a... place, she didn't know what it was, but she found herself here in this place. There were all of these crystals... caves, terrifying Pokemon and... she was terrified, despite her power, her status as an Alpha they did not respect or fear her, and they terrified her with how 'weird' they were. They did not look right, and so she had to flee.
Then she found herself climbing out, she hid, searched, tried finding her old territory, familiar smells, familiar sights, anything but... nothing...
Not even her own kind were familiar...
She looked at the Alpha Female who defeated her in battle from the small nesting area, and not for the first time asked herself why she was so... 'passive'. Every day the sun began to shine she would see the human leave the territory, and would not return until the sun had begun to set. He would leave the two of them alone, and while alone the Alpha Female would go about the place doing... 'things', that was all she could describe it. She would sometimes put on a white cloth thing, and clean things in what looked like the cooking area. She would also clean things around the home and sometimes she would even light a fire and make food.
Other times she would simply sit in the room where she had watched her and the human sleeping that first night she saw them sleeping together, and staring at a book if she remembered what it was called.
But other than that, she just left her alone, so all she could really do was sit there and wait.
It was weird, she felt no... anger, malevolence in this place, things felt... 'different', but she didn't know how to describe it, it was so different compared to her old territory.
Today however, after much time had passed, she was approached by the Alpha Female with several berries on a cloth-covered plate, in which she sat next to her and offered her the food.
"Alright, I've done some more research on you since Frederick asked me to look into you more while he's busy with work, so that's what I did." She told her, but her language was still strange and unknown, she only understood bits and pieces, but at least she got the gist of it. "So according to my research, you are a variant of my species, still Zoroark but... you are more akin to that of a different breed of Zoroark, similar to how Paldean Tauros have different breeds, such as the fighting, fire and water forms."
She didn't really understand most of that, but she still listened as she was the Alpha of this territory, or home as she heard them calling it.
"Yea, still the same species but slightly different breeds, according to notes from a researcher at the time, you use an attack with energy so intense, that it physically lacerates your own body when you use it. I guess this is 'why' Frederick was hurt so much, you don't know the meaning of the word restraint... I can only wonder how much that hurts 'you' though."
Again, she just listened and nodded in acceptance of what she was saying, only understanding that she attacked the human, but still she nodded.
"Well, you need to learn how to 'not' go overboard, in your time maybe you could get away with that, but in this day and age you need to hold your powers back a little so you don't kill people or Pokemon." She said as 'Violet' took a clawfull of berries and ate them. "I think Frederick will be able to teach you how to control your powers much better than me. But before I even 'let' you near him, you and I need to talk about some things."
Violet glanced at her as she tapped her shoulder, looking sternly at her.
"First thing's first, why did you attack me and Frederick that day."
She was quiet as she thought about those words, trying her best to understand them, then she looked at the Alpha and replied, "He... attacking you... hurting you..."
"Attacking me..." She said in disbelief. "Do I look like a Pokemon that any human could just 'attack'?" To emphasize this, she pointed at her claws and arms, legs and even her teeth. "What did you think he was doing to me that would warrant you to attack us?"
She was quiet as she re-evaluated what she had seen, but the Alpha had demanded something of her, so she explained, "He... attacking you... looking to eat you ali-"
"Eating me alive?" She asked incredulously, before placing her face in her claws and muttering something that sounded like, "Well... that's one way to put it..." then she looked up at her, "Look, what you saw... was... a 'special' moment between us... he wasn't hurting me... in fact... he was going to make me feel like the happiest Zoroark in the world that day. What he was doing was making love to me..."
Violet, not understanding that, tilted her head in confusion.
"You know, making love with me... having sex... plowing my fields... filling me up... crossing first base?" Scarlet asked in increasingly confused tones. "Play-Wrestle in the Field... oh wait, you wouldn't know most of that languor cause your from Hisui... uhm... uh 'Mating'?"
At that word, Violet went wide eyed, and then 'blushed' profusely as she realized what she had interrupted.
"You... mate... human?"
Scarlet sighed as she nodded.
"Yes, I mate Frederick, he is my boyfriend, though he's really my Life Mate." She explains to her. "You understand that right, 'Life Mate'?"
"Life Mate?" She asked in confusion.
"It means we are mates for life... put simply, we stay together for the rest of our lives... even in death I won't leave him."
She just tilted her head in even more confusion, the concept of a 'Life Mate', was foreign to her.
The Alpha Female groaned as she bonked her face on her claws. "How did Frederick have the patience to teach me, I've only been at this for ten minutes and already I want to quit?" She moaned in a frustrated tone through her claws. "Alright, so you thought he was hurting me... despite me... and him doing... okay I can 'kind of' forgive that, if you didn't know better... then yea... but still, why did you attack him 'still'? He was no threat after we separated, and even 'after' I got up, you still tried to kill him... why?"
Violet was thoughtful and said, "He... human... humans are cruel... they always take... they force others to obey them... enslave..."
Scarlet, the Alpha Female, glared at her and for a moment Violet feared she'd attack her, but instead the Alpha Female took a very slow and deep breath, and told her, "That may have been true hundreds, maybe over a thousand years ago... but now... they don't... well, 'most' don't, and especially not Frederick." She snarled. "I don't know what it was like for you, but here in Paldea, Pokemon and Humans work together, side by side... even 'wild' Pokemon know to not hurt Humans just like how Humans take care of Wild Pokemon!"
With that Scarlet got up and left Violet sitting on the bed, muttering how 'she had to work on dinner for when Frederick came home', and told her to just stay out of the way.
So, Violet did, she just ate her meal and simply watched as the Alpha Female continued to go about her business. When the human did get home late at night, a little later the normal, she looked worried about him and helped him as he looked dead tired.
She didn't really understand why this human could command an Alpha Female of 'Scarlet's' capabilities, or why she would even mate him, he didn't look strong, he didn't have powers like t hem, and by all reasons she was clearly the superior of the two. Yet she fawned over him, massaging his shoulders, eating with him, even nuzzling him and then helping him get ready for bed. When they did go to bed, she watched as she lay down in bed with him through a crack in the door, and observed as she snuggled into bed with him, they shared several long kisses, and soon fell asleep.
Violet, just watched... it was weird, seeing her... so happy, peaceful with the human in her arms... she even had her head placed under his chin with a look of utter content on it. For her, to place one's head under another's was a sign of submission, submitting to one's dominance and accepting their superiority as an Alpha.
She in fact 'was' an Alpha... or 'used' to be an Alpha, until she was defeated by the red one, then she lost her position to her in this territory after being accepted into this den. Her size was proof of that, she was the 'largest' Zoroark of her area, even a few other Alphas she had faced in battle paled in comparison to her. But she...
She was tired, she left the door and returned to her little sleeping area, placed her arms under her head, and chose to sleep.
(Frederick's PoV)
Time passed for the household as they all got into a new routine with Violet being there, Scarlet would take time out of her day to show Violet things around the house, get her familiar with their time, show how things had changed since Hisui's day and age, and slowly learned how to talk to her and was now able to communicate with the Hisuian Zoroark on a very basic level. Frederick worked overtime at his job as an Internet Technology person so as to afford a translator to help him communicate with Violet better, it wasn't the top-of-the-line model, but it would do to help him understand her.
One day, Frederick told Scarlet that he was going to take Violet out alone to a small stretch of beach in the North Province of Paldea, where they could spend time and he could learn about her and talk to her, as well as help her become further accustomed to life in Paldea. Scarlet was 'not' enthusiastic, but she trusted Frederick enough to trust his judgement, if he said he wanted to do it, then she'd let him go without her.
So, on a sunny afternoon, after being dropped off by a flying taxi cab, he released Violet and asked her to walk with him down to the beach to spend time with him. It took her a while to 'accept' his request, but after thinking it over for a bit she accepted and began following him. As they walked, he noticed her walking stance was very different then how Scarlet walked.
While Zoroarks were far from standing upright like a human or other humanoid Pokemon, like say a Meowscarada or an Alakazam, he noticed that Violet walked slightly hunched, leaning forward with her massive mane waving forward and off to the side, and she used her claws a bit more to help with that. But otherwise, she walked like Scarlet does, slightly leaning forward more while standing up.
She noticed him looking at her, and glanced at him with a curious stare, causing him to smile and give her a friendly wave. She nodded and turned to look forward more as they continued to walk.
'This is going to take some time to get her to warm up to me a little'
A few minutes later they walked down to the beach and there he pulled out several melons he'd purchased to help her learn to control her powers better. Thanks to the research Scarlet told him about, he knew that her attacks were often self-destructive, damaging her anatomically almost as much as they did the opponent. He could even see it on her body through the purple and dark-grey fur covering her, thanks to his years being with Scarlet.
There were multiple scars and cuts, some healed and scabbed over, and others that looked like she'd been born with them it seemed. He could only imagine how much pain she was in every time she used her powers. He and Scarlet even read that her Hisuian kind could create Illusions so powerful, so real, that they could actually do more damage than a normal attack could ever achieve.
Hense, the melons, better to practice on something that 'won't' get hurt, then on a living creature. Also, they were on sale that day at the Porto Marinada Market.
"Alright Violet, today, I'd like us to practice with your move, you know the one you used against me and Scarlet?" He told her, after making sure the translator was attached to his ear.
"We... fight?"She asked curiously.
"Well, not 'us', specifically, I'm asking you to use that move you used against these fruits I got at the market." He said nervously with a chuckle. "This way I can help you learn to master your powers, so you don't hurt other people by accidentally going overboard and hurting someone more than needed."
"Why... do... that?"
"Well, you see, if we were to attack someone and hurt them without meaning to, then... well, they might be seriously hurt and... die, and we don't want to kill anyone, human or Pokemon."
Violet looked thoughtful as she listened to his words, before she looked at him and asked with a tilt of her head, "If they... fight, they are... threat to us... why let them live... if they could return and... attack us again?"
"Yes... but, the thing is, we don't have to 'kill' if we don't have to, and for the most part, Pokemon won't attack for no reason, and even if they do, we can always just scare them away and we might never run into them ever again!" He explained politely, trying to get her to understand that. "Pokemon in Paldea have lived together with humans for thousands of years, we've always lived together harmoneously, that's why many of our cities are actually open to Pokemon as much as people. Heck, that's why Cyclizars are used by everyone to get around, they carry us to wherever we need to go so we don't need to use vehicle and risk hurting the wild Pokemon by accident."
Violet shifted her eyes to the ground and looked thoughtful again, before looking at him again and asking, "What of... people... what if... people... attack us?"
"That's... a bit more... complicated, but... for the most part people don't attack other people. And if they do, we have police and laws and other things to ensure they don't threaten people ever again." He said hesitantly. "Anyway, let's try using that move you used on me and Scarlet before, but only use it on the melons... do you think you can do that?"
She looked at the melon sitting on the ground and nodded.
"Alright." he said as he pulled out a small medical kit used to treat Pokemon injuries when Potions or other herbs weren't required, he also had a few potions as a safety measure. "I brought these just in case, since I heard that move of yours causes you pain, I figured I'd use these to treat your injuries so you don't suffer if possible."
She glanced at him and listened to what he said, before she looked at the melon and began glaring at it.
"Alright, whenever you are re-"
"ZORAAAAAAR!" She screamed as she launched her attack, causing him to jump back in shock while a ghostly energy erupted from her and then enveloped the melon, cloaking it in an icy coat and causing severe cuts/gashes and a host of other damages to it.
When it was over, the melon was barely recognizable and was blown apart into multiple sliced pieces, scattered around the beach and even in the water, each piece differing in size and coated with different layers of ice and frost.
He looked at her and saw her glaring at the melon, eyes flickering and twitching in pain as her body shivered ever so slightly.
"Whoa that was too much, you didn't need to hit it full power!" He said as he ran to her and looked at her arms.
She glared at him as he touched her, and looked like she was about to retaliate or do something, when he looked at her and sternly told her, "Calm down... I'm just looking you over, I just want to see if your hurt and how bad it is."
She snarled a little, but took a deep breath and settled down so that he could touch her and examine her. Sure enough, after adjusting the fur and looking directly at the skin, he could see several cuts, there wasn't much in the way of bleeding, at most they were 'barely' even half a millimeter deep, but he could see that the cuts were red raw from the attack. Obviously, the attack, when not used repeatedly, didn't cut into the skin, but if he suspected it was so, then if she kept using it, she'd be a bleeding mess very soon.
He continued to overlook the injuries, checking her claws, arms, legs, feet, even her shoulders and with her permission, her neck and face. All while he looked her over, she watched him with careful eyes, not once letting herself blink unless needed, trying to see what he was doing to her.
"Right... let me see..." He muttered as he picked up the medical kit and a potion. "This will only sting for a moment alright... don't worry, it will help you."
With that he pressed the nozzle of the potion to her arm and injected her with the liquid, instantly causing her to growl as it entered her system. He guessed with how she glared at him and flinched from the potion, it was her first time being given a potion directly to her body, instead of what the Pokemon Center does.
"I know, it stings... Scarlet felt the same when I treated her as a Zorua the first time." He said with an apologetic smile. "But look, it's already fixing that damage the move did to you."
He held her arm and pushed the fur aside so she could look at her skin, causing her to stare in surprise as the gashes that had only been there moments ago, were slowly and steadily healing before her eyes. As they did, he took a bit of cream and used it to coat her skin, applying it to help cool her and relieve any potential itching or pain she might be feeling as an afterglow from the attack. This caused her to relax and feel more at ease around her, she even sighed a little as he rubbed her shoulder, neck, legs and arms.
"There, feel better now?" He asked her.
She glanced at him and nodded, growling in gratitude.
"Alright, well let's try using that move again, but this time can you try to use it at the weakest power you can?" He asked as he got up, picked up another melon and planted it on the sand before them. "Don't go full power this time... just try to use it only at the smallest level you can manage?"
After he backed up, she glanced between him and the melon, nodded, and then began to glare at it before she screamed, "ZROAAAARW!" and unleashed yet another blast of her ghostly energy upon the helpless melon.
Unfortunately, just like before, the melon exploded into itty bitty pieces, each little piece coated in icy frost and spread around the beach or floating in the water.
He sighed as he reached down, pulled up another potion and used it to heal her again, even if the cuts/gashes were miniscule, because he still didn't want to leave her in a state where she might be in pain, especially it was if self-inflicted. After she flinched a little when he injected her with the liquid of the potion, though it was much shorter lived after she noticed there was no pain as before, he gave her the cream again and she began to sigh contently as he rubbed her body all over again.
He even noticed as he rubbed her shoulders, that her mane began to soften up, no longer fraying around and slowly settling down to rest like it would if it didn't appear to be waving in a gentle breeze. She even closed her eyes and began to relax into his touches.
"I guess you aren't able to control the level of power your move has." He muttered as he looked at the remnants of the melon after he finished tending to her. "Either that or... let's see..."
He pulled out his phone and began to look over the notes he copied and typed out from Scarlet's research and examined what she said about her powers and specifically anything about that move. Sadly, she had nothing on that move, which according to her research was called 'Bitter Malice' at the time of Hisui. According to research, the move only existed with the Zoroark line in the time period, and from what she learned, Zoroarks were extremely resentful, bitter, and... enraged at so many different Pokemon and especially People at the time. More importantly, it was believed that they used 'that' bitterness, resentment, and anger toward said People and Pokemon to fuel their powers and attacks.
"What if... the reason why it's so strong is because you hate Pokemon and People so much, and maybe that's why your illusions are so powerful?" He asked her as she watched him. "According to this, your illusions are able to inflict real damage, unlike Scarlet's where despite making illusions she can't hurt anyone with her illusions unless its self-inflicted."
He looked to her and she simply stared at him with a curious stare as usual.
"Tell me... do you... 'hate' Pokemon and especially people?"
She was quiet as she glanced at the melon, before looking at him and nodding. "Humans... evil... cruel... they enslave... they take... they hunt... they always take... and they always hurt." She told him with a growl. "I always saw... they fight other Pokemon... they hurt other Pokemon, they steal other Pokemon, force them to obey... they even fight each other. They cut down trees, precious homes, take more territory, push us out... steal our food, drive us away..."
"Other Pokemon... we fight back, but we lose... we forced out, we pushed away, into each other territories... we fight for space, for food, for mates..." She said as she looked away, resentment and hatred burning in her eyes.
"And you, what about you?" He asked.
She glanced back at him, though her expression was emotionless, she responded saying, "I... was Alpha... I was born strong... I grew bigger, stronger... I could defend the little ones; I could fight the humans... other Pokemon... but..." and then looked at her claws and flexed them a little. "My strength... they hunted me, they hurt me... I always had to fight... even my own kind... had to fight some times. Had to fight for... territory... food... even just to live had to fight..."
"You didn't know anything else besides fighting, did you at least have any friends... family?"
She glared back at him before shaking her head, slightly. "I had... mother... siblings... but had to leave them... my color... attracted attention." She said as she looked at her fur, holding her arm up to show him. "I put them at risk... I wouldn't risk my pack... I had to fight alone... lived alone... roamed alone... I... never had... friend. Family. Just alone..."
He actually felt bad for her, he realized that when she was referring to herself as being a danger to her family, she was referring to the fact that she was, as what many trainers called her, a 'Shiny' Pokemon. She was an exceptionally rare Pokemon, many trainers find them to be beautiful and would be amazed to have one as a partner or even on their team. The fact that she was shiny being a factor to why she lived this lonely lifestyle, fighting every day just to survive to the next day, and then having to fight and be vicious in such a time period...
No wonder she couldn't control her powers, she was so filled with bitterness, resentment, and anger that she was struggling to learn and accept things like simple acts of kindness without reacting like they were some trick or something nefarious. She was probably still even accepting the fact that the time period she lived in now was 'also' a time where she didn't have to fight just to live, fight humans, Pokemon, even nature itself just to be able to sleep at night and live to see the morning.
"Well, even though we started off on the wrong foot... I want you to know that... you at least have 'me' and Scarlet as friends and family." He said, lifting her arm and patting her claw gently, trying to be sweet to her. "I know now why you attacked us, and now that you know better, I don't think you would have hurt us if it happened again. But from now on, I don't want you using that move ever again, unless you absolutely have no other way to fight. Promise?"
She looked at him curiously, before glancing at his hands and then looking back to him. "Why... no fight... why you no want me to fight?" She asked.
"Just that one move, you can fight in other ways, I know, Scarlet can and I'll help you learn as well so you don't have to fight using that move ever again." He said sternly, before looking more softly, placing his hand on her mane to scratch it and saying, "And also because I just don't want to see you hurting yourself again, that move is akin to cutting yourself every time you use it, even if it's unintended..."
She looked up at his hand as it scratched her head through her mane, looking a little more 'curious' then usual, and then looked down at his hand still holding her claw. Then she shifted her eyes to look at whatever remains of the melon were on the beach and nodded. "I... no use... that move... if you no... want... me use it."
He nodded as he smiled and patted her mane, and even though it was 'only' because he wanted to thank her for listening to him, even with that minor request, he had to admit that her mane was... so soft. While Scarlet's mane was a large ball of fuzz and fluff that she was more than willing to let him rest his head on when he was tired on the couch with her, or even used it as a pseudo scarf around their necks in bed on really cold nights, Violet's was just a massive ball of softness that, if she didn't look so intimidating and terrifying, she probably would have people lining up, wanting to pet her and just lean into her mane of fur just to feel its softness. Even Violet seemed to have gained the absolute tiniest of a 'smile' as he scratched her head, though it was little more than the edges of her cheeks turning upward.
Then he noticed, out of the corner of his eyes, a single tree that hadn't been there the last time his eyes strayed over there.
Sighing he crossed his arms and said, "Scarlet, you promised you wouldn't follow us!"
He could hear a disappointed sigh as the tree vanished and, and then it vanished, revealing the frowning expression of his girlfriend Scarlet, her blue eyes looking at them and grinning as she knew she was caught. (I miss the days when I could fool you.) She said as she wandered over to him, arms crossed and chuckling in amusement.
"Scarlet?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
(I know, I know, I promised... but...) She glanced at Violet and then looked at him with an honest look of care on her face. (Can you blame me for being... just a 'little' worried for your safety? If something happened because of... and I wasn't there to... I'd never be able to live with myself... she did... attack us and...)
He gave her the 'eyebrow' and after a few minutes she sighed in shame and looked away.
(I should have trusted you... I know... but there was just a 'little' doubt in my head... will you two forgive me?) She asked both him and Violet.
After the translation Violet glanced between them and shrugged her shoulders, obviously not really 'caring' that Scarlet didn't exactly 100% trust her yet, and just nodding and accepting she was there in secret. As for Frederick, well he sighed and scratched Scarlet in the same place he did Violet, causing her to purr slightly in pleasure.
"I love you too Scarlet... thank you for wanting to make sure I'm safe." He whispered sweetly to her, knowing she was just there because she loved him and wanted to keep him safe.
In gratitude and to show he forgave her, he lifted her chin up slightly and leaned forward to kiss her on the lips, making her moan in delight as she hugged him close to her.
Violet, just watched... somewhat 'captivated' that the two of them could kiss so openly and so easily.
After the moment ended, they separated and Frederick called for a taxi to pick them up again, offering them both the remaining melons to eat as a little snack while they were out. When the cab arrived, he recalled Violet into her ball and Scarlet was allowed to sit with him since there wasn't enough space for all three of them.
(Scarlet's PoV, two months later)
"Alright everyone, pony up! Let's get this party started!" A voice called out as several dozen trainers were idling around one of Mesagoza's arenas.
She, Frederick and Violet were in Mesagoza today since it was one of the rare few weekends they could get out and be out and about away from Montenevera. Today was an especially exciting day since they were going to compete with all of their friends from their social group of casual battlers. Every month they had a big get together to battle and fight one another in a friendly 'single-mon' tournament.
The idea was simple, everyone brought a single Pokemon, they all put up ten pokedollars into a pot, winner gets the pot. It was a lotta fun since most of them were casual battlers and never competed remotely seriously, and they all got to hang out together and chat during the fights.
She was a big favorite among some trainers since she used Illusions and was by far among the stronger contenders of their group, so it was a huge chance for her to show off how strong her bond with Frederick was and how tough she was as a fighter. That and they just liked her in general.
"Hey Fred, you and Scarlet going to take home the pot today?" A guy named Anthony asked with his Weavile grinning next to him.
"We'll see Anthony, you and Vick going to at least make it to fight us?" Frederick countered with her grinning and leaning on him.
"Weeeeeavile!" Vick said with a nonchalant wave of his claws. "Just try to last that long!"
"See you in the final round... 'Vicky'." She countered as the three of them split off to go and wait for the tournament to begin.
"WEEAVILE VILE!" The Weavile screamed indignantly at her. "IT'S VICK YOU JERK!"
She chuckled, he hated that nickname, and she loved using it against him.
As they wandered around the little area on the east side of Mesagoza she could see Violet glancing at all of the buildings, people, Pokemon, and just everything that was probably still foreign to her. She smirked as she said, "It's nice here, isn't it?"
Violet looked to her and nodded slightly. "It... big... not like the... huts I saw humans live in... so much... light... all so... big and... rock." She whispered.
She nodded in agreement, she felt like that the first time she was in Mesagoza, it certainly was bigger than the little out of the way town she would often steal food from while wild.
"But... I miss... snow... I miss the quiet... it... very noisy... bright... it feel... weird here."
She nodded in agreement, even at night, Mesagoza was a little on the bright and busy side, nothing like Velencia but... to a Pokemon from Hisui, where this was alien and out of this world to her, it must be unsettling. To make her feel better she got Frederick to buy them all a large sandwich and share it until they began the tournament. Sandwich in hand she and Frederick had to show her how to eat it, and show that it was perfectly safe to eat it slowly, as nobody was going to steal it.
She was actually afraid of having to fight for food outside of their home in Montenevera, glaring around and trying to hide the sandwich she had, as if a random Pokemon or Human would challenge her for it. After she settled down, she ate it and began to relax more as she now had food in her belly.
Not only was Violet a nervous Zoroark in the city, she was also the talk and catching the eyes of wandering trainers, citizens, and even a few Pokemon. Her almost 'primal' look and how she gave this terrifying appearance was both frightening and impressive to look at. Some people took pictures of her, others just wanted to ask about her, the more 'naive' and innocent children tried to pet her.
But she was still extremely shy and not at all trusting, so regretfully all they could do was have Frederick answer what questions he can, and then head back over to the lot for the beginning of the tournament.
The first pairs were revealed, and she groaned as she saw her opponent was none other than Vick the Weavile.
"Oh great, he's totally paid off the organizer to make us his first opponent." Frederick said to her.
(Yep, totally paid them off... you sure it's not just the fact that the two of them are dating?) She countered with a bitter chuckle.
It wasn't that she didn't have a chance against the Weavile, far from it, but the Weavile was just so much faster and nimbler than she was. That and she knew he was going to get revenge on her for that 'Vicky' joke.
On the field she and Frederick took their positions, while Violet was instructed to 'not' interfere and stay out of the fighting arena. When questioned, she had to explain that this was how 'disputes' or 'fights' are resolved in Paldea. For them though, it was specifically just so they can battle and have some fun as well as blow off steam.
"Steam... what 'steam'?"
"Just watch and learn Violet... watch and learn~!" Scarlet said as she stepped forward and loosened her muscles to get ready for battle.
On the other side of the field her opponent 'Vick' the Weavile also sauntered into the arena to get ready, grinning as he fiddled with his claws.
"Ready to get your butt kicked 'Vick'?" She asked as she got low and ready, assuming her usual battle stance.
"Just try and keep up 'Fox'!" The Weavile countered as he stopped fiddling and got ready as well.
Oh she 'hated' the fox call out, true it may be, she was more on the vixen side, she hated to be called a simple 'fox', and as the battle began, she was not going to let him get away with it.
Immediately after a horn blared, Frederick told her to go into her illusions and start off with a Night Daze. She nodded and ran forward, creating the illusion of her being a Weavile, even if she knew it wouldn't fool him, she still wanted to tease him and throw him off his game even slightly. Gathering her powers and channeling them into her attack, the Weavile raced forward, leapt high into the air and jumped downward, claws coating themselves in an icy mist and swiping down into her.
She managed to avoid and strike the Weavile with her attack as he landed, but even as she struck, he counterattacked and flung icy shards at her before she could react or retaliate. This resulting damage broke her concentration and thus her illusion, revealing her true self. She snarled and reached down to smack the ground when Frederick told her to use her illusion powers again, roaring and unleashing another illusion upon the field, creating the image of several Zoroarks that looked like her. Once complete she had them all jump with herself, twirl so their manes created a parade of red and black propellers, before landing and running around the Weavile to confuse him.
He looked around trying to keep track of the real Scarlet, but she was grinning the entire time, knowing full well that he couldn't track her down.
After a few seconds Frederick told her to charge in with a shadow claw, and she obliged, sending several of her illusions to swipe at Vick. Vick tried to counter, swiping and slashing with dark energy infused with his claws, but each strike failed to connect as they were only illusions. The 'real' Scarlet did this a few more times, until she was close enough to strike.
But Vick was faster, he seemed to have sensed she was about to strike, and turned just in time with a smirk as his claws gained a metalic gleam, before swiping her down and causing her to tumble into a heap.
Her illusions dispelled, she steadily rose to a kneeling position, staring as the Weavile grinned, flexed his claws again as it became coated in ice once more. She glanced at Frederick nearby and he nodded, she nodded in understanding, before refocusing on the Weavile as he charged her, seeking to end the fight with one final icicle crash.
"Flamethrower!"
She channeled her dark powers into her throat, opened her mouth and launched a jet of flame that expanded and encompassed their opponent who was wide eyed that she knew that move. He tumbled out of the flame after a few seconds when she ended it, and struggled to get back up, signifying the battle was over.
Chuckling, but also hating the itching and burning sensation that move left her with, she walked over and helped Vick up while his trainer came over to tend to him. Frederick was there as well and he patted her shoulder, gave her a potion that was safe to drink from, and helped her out of the battle arena.
"Better luck next time, 'Vicky'!" She taunted him.
She had to avoid cackling with laughter as he lifted his claw hand up behind him, and only kept the middle claw extended while the others curled up.
Once she left the field so they could continue the tournament, she took a seat at one of the multiple umbrella tables littering the area and sat down to recuperate and rest. While she rested Frederick looked her over, seeing what damage she might have suffered and seeing if she needed anything.
"Are you alright Scarlet, is there anything else aching?"
She decided to have some fun since he gave her the chance, "Oh Frederick... there is a major ache, and it hurts soooo much~." she said dramatically. "Oh, my aching heart... it hurts... oh the only thing that can cure it is a private moment with the only man I could ever love~. Please take me, take me somewhere private, where only you can help me~!"
"You sly Zoroark!" He chuckled as he flicked his finger at her forehead, causing her to giggle.
She finished the potion drink while Violet stood by and just observed them, waiting until Frederick said he'd go grab a drink from a nearby vendor to approach her and talk to her.
"Why... no... finish him?" Violet asked her.
She glanced up and raised her eyebrow. "Why didn't I finish him? Why would I, the fight was over?"
Violet looked confused as she said, "He... could hurt you... come back... why not?"
She sighed as she shook her head, she just didn't get it. "Violet, this isn't a life-or-death fight, we only battle until one of us can't keep going, when that point is hit, we end the fight." She explained. "We're only battling for sport, for fun, because we 'want' to fight, but we know our limits, so we don't cross them. We're only battling tonight for amusement and to prove how tough we are compared to the others, and if we win, we get a little prize at the end."
"You... don't... want to kill?"
Scarlet shook her head with a smile. "We don't kill unless we absolutely must, which fortunately never happens... there's no reason to kill, Violet. Besides, I enjoy fighting against Vick, he's always fun to fight. Heh, he got me last time, so this was payback~!"
Violet looked confused, but the two of them turned and watched the battles taking place in the arena, yet as she watched a Stantler charging and bashing its horns into the horns of a Sawsbuck, she saw her Frederick returning to them from the vendor. But she also saw, just out of the corner, leaning from the shadows of a building, another human.
She squinted and tried to look closer, but the human was just too far away to notice, and as soon as she spotted her, she ducked away.
She tried not to think too hard about it, maybe they were just a tourist just seeing what was going on in their little spot, or maybe just a passerby getting a last look of the fight before moving on... but she had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. That feeling did not go away during the entire tournament, and when she won a second round it only seemed to grow more intense the longer, they stayed.
She kept glancing around, trying to shake the feeling off, trying to assure whatever it was telling her they were in danger that they weren't, but that feeling that they were being 'watched', and they were in trouble just kept eating away at her mind.
Violet also noticed this odd behavior of hers, and was watching her very carefully, even glancing around more often than she had been doing that very often since they arrived. In fact, Violet seemed even more alert.
Finally, unable to take the feeling, she threw the next match she was in and took a hit harder than she wanted to, just so that she, Frederick and Violet had a reason to leave the tournament and head home.
"You want to go home already? But we still have five more rounds we can watch." He asked her.
(I know, but I just want to go home... I have a bad feeling something's wrong.) She told him, still looking over his shoulder and even over her own, but not seeing anything.
"Is something wrong?"
(I don't know... and that's why I want us to go home, please... just this one time...) She said with a pleading look.
Seeing the almost fearful look on her face caused him to nod in acceptance, he knew when to listen to her wishes, and told their friends that he was heading home that night and called a Taxi. Scarlet only felt safe when a cab arrived ten minutes later and they all climbed into it, heading back up Glaseado Mountain to Montenevera.
In their home she closed the blinds, made sure the doors were double locked both in the back and front door, and turned off lights before it was bedtime, with Violet still choosing to sleep in the living room, curling up and resting her head for sleep.
"Well, we're back home, feel safer now darling?"
(Yes... and I'm really sorry about making you take us home sooner then you wanted.) She whispered sadly. (I know you also enjoy watching battles as much as I enjoy fighting in them... and you were really looking forward to the battles, but I really felt afraid down there... like something was really wrong. Especially since we only get to do that once a month because of your schedule.)
He nodded as he scratched her head to cheer her up. "It's not your fault, so there's nothing to be sorry about. I care more for your wellbeing than some random battles. That feeling's gone now, right?"
She nodded, now that they were safe and sound in their home, she didn't feel that feeling that they were being watched or felt they were in danger anymore. Perhaps it 'was' just her imagination, and nothing was wrong. But, since she kind of 'did' ruin their favorite night of the month, she pulled him in for a hug and then began making out with him. She then slyly licked his lips and whispered seductively, (You know... the night isn't over yet, and we may not have watched some fun battles... but how about I make it up to you... and have our favorite 'battle' between you... and 'me'...)
(Violet's PoV)
She was resting her eyes as she laid down on the soft bed, before she heard moans and groans coming from the main den where the Alpha Female and her Male slept. It sounded like something was thumping against the wall, repeatedly thumping at a very steady but rapid pace. Curious, she got up, walked quietly over to the door, and ever so slightly creaked it open enough to peek inside.
"Oh yes... fuck me harder... oh yea... fuck... hyaahh... hah... ohooh..."
She watched the Alpha Female had her legs wrapped around the human's waist, hugging him and smiling with a look of blissful pleasure on her face. Her human was kissing her and thrusting in and out of her passage, the point where they were connected in the act of mating covered by a combination of clothes and Scarlet's mane that was hanging over her should as he thrust harder and faster.
"Oh Scarlet... oh yes... you feel so good!"
"Ooh yes... oh yes pound me Fred... oh yes... oh yes..."
She watched the two of them pause for a second as they shared a passionate kiss, Scarlet's eyes closed in pleasure as she just locked lips with Frederick, smiling the entire time until they separated again, and he began thrusting back and forth into her.
'They... breeding?' She asked herself in wonder, asking why they were doing that tonight of all nights?
But as she watched them turn around and lie on the bed, with Frederick slowly pulling out of her to then ram as hard as he could, pulling out again, and then ramming back in with greater force each time, resulting in Scarlet moaning, "Ah... AH... OOH... OH... yes... yes... Oh yes... harder... AH!", Violet found herself becoming captivated.
She knew what the act of breeding was, she'd seen her mother doing it one time before she left... but this was different. They were doing it with such passion, such force, they looked like they were enjoying it. Even the sight was causing her to feel aroused, as she slowly lowered a claw to her own sex and began to gently rub it, imagining the male doing that to her as well.
She knew not to interfere, never interfere when Pokemon were breeding, but she was wondering why they were breeding now? Did the male want a child, was he afraid of dying, they kept going on about-
"Oh... fuck... Scarlet... I'm going to cum... I'm about to cum."
"Yes... yes. Baby... inside, do it... give it to me..."
"Ghn... hah... hah... hah... ah... ahahahhyaaaaaa"
"Ghaaaaaaah!"
She watched as Scarlet locked her legs around him tightly and screamed in pleasure as Frederick released in seed into her, she could even see from the angle as a tiny trickle leaked out from where they were connected. After he released, he thrust slightly two more times, before he collapsed on top of her, and both of them breathed heavily, chests heaving as they settled down. After a few moments Frederick slowly leaned up and they smiled and shared a loving kiss, with each of them wrapping their arms around the other and leaning into the other more heavily than before.
"Love you Scarlet..."
"I love you too Frederick..."
Violet saw enough, not wishing to be spotted observing them, and knowing they were expecting privacy, she pulled away and went back to her bed, curled up and tried to sleep. Unfortunately, she found it much harder than before, as she looked at her claw that she'd used to rub her sex while the Alpha Female and Alpha Male mated.
A tiny part of her wondered... if the Alpha Female would feel threatened, if she tried to get the Male to mate with 'her' as well.
They had each other... but she had nobody, she was alone... still alone, and after learning more about this world, she found herself even more alone then ever before.
There were no 'Hisuian' Zoroarks, no little 'Hisuian' Zoruas to watch over, she was the only one of her kind according to them. Though she and Scarlet were Zoroark, they were different, she was alone, Scarlet was not.
She felt afraid... thinking of that... being alone, not having another like her.
'I want a pup of my own... I don't want to vanish and not...'
She sighed and closed her eyes, not sure what she was going to do, but knowing that... she was afraid, alone... and wanting 'something' to take away this fear and loneliness. But the one comfort she had, was that she at least had... them, and especially him to be with.
With that she began to sleep, deciding that she would prove herself worthy to be seen as a potential mate!
=Three Months Later=
She charged Scarlet with her claws glowing in ghostly shadow energy while she blocked her, and then counter swiped with her own claws wrapped in dark energy. Both of them kept swiping and trading jabs, and even kicks aimed to injure and damage one another.
"Watch your weight, you're stepping too far forward Violet."
Violet nodded as she heeded the command, backing up only enough so that she didn't put her weight into it.
Scarlet continued to pressure her back and she pushed back, despite the Low Kicks and Shadow Claws, Knock Offs and even Slashes being used, neither of them were actually trying to score a hit. This was just to help her learn how to battle and learn how to fight without needing to go overboard.
"Alright now switch to special attacks!"
Both Zoroarks nodded and Violet jumped back before planting a claw into the ground, glaring at Scarlet and opening her mouth to gather shadowy energy in front of her mouth, snarling as the Shadow Ball formed and then flung it forward with a flick of her head.
Scarlet naturally dodged it, but she had already channeled another one and fired it, with Scarlet dodging that attack next. She grabbed a fistful of snow, channeled her powers into it and ate it, before opening her mouth and screaming in ghostly power, creating an Icy Wind of freezing air that did manage to strike Scarlet, but she responded with a grin and opened her mouth to release a jet of flame, her Flamethrower.
Violet dodged the attack barely but bent low to create another Shadow Ball and then launched it at Scarlet. Scarlet smirked and unleashed a Dark Pulse which collided into the Shadow Ball, resulting in both attacks exploding and creating a tiny smokescreen in the snowy mountainous area.
"Illusions!"
She nodded and channeled her powers into her Illusion which she created, making a duplicate of herself and had it fly off to the side, which met another Illusion of Scarlet in which both attacked one another. Neither of their illusions attacks hurt the other since they were fake, but the momentary distraction was all Violet needed to rush forward and try to hit Scarlet while she might have been distracted.
Sure enough, she caught the Alpha Female off guard, and she pounced, seeking to kick the Zoroark in the face and wi-
Her kick hit the smirking face of a Zoroark and passed right through it, resulting in her falling forward as behind her the 'real' Scarlet was standing and grinning as she created another Dark Pulse in the palm of her claw and aimed it right at her face.
And after a few moments, Scarlet cut the power to her attack off and it dissipated, allowing Scarlet to reach down and help her back up.
"You're not half bad Violet, but I still have the edge in Illusions!" She said.
"I... will try... harder." She replied.
"Don't worry, illusions are meant to disguise and throw the enemy off, I just happened to know them better then you." She told her with a smile, before looking at where the two illusions had been fighting and grimaced at the tiny dent in the snow. "Though, remember, you don't need to channel so much into them that they can do 'actual' damage, you aren't trying to hurt people with them remember?"
"I... will try... not to do that... again."
Frederick walked over and congratulated Violet for doing so well today, she was shaping up to be a fierce fighter, even on par with Scarlet. She was learning so much more here thanks to the two of them, and especially Frederick on the weekends he had off. She was actually blushing when he told her what she did well and was trying her hardest not to purr in delight at how much she was enjoying his touches.
So much had changed since the day she first met the two of them, and while she still felt a little 'out of place' here in this time and in this region, she felt comfortable as she spent her days and nights with Scarlet and Frederick. No longer was she constantly thinking of them as 'Alphas'. Though she still mentally considered them as such, and she always showed them the respect and admiration or appreciation that she owed them because of their status, in her mind, as alphas.
She also was becoming more comfortable and polite around people and Pokemon, where before she would have either shied away or growled to threaten them away, she now either tolerated them or gave a little 'wave' to say hello.
In Frederick's words, it was 'progress' in the right direction.
But she most definitely was becoming friendlier with Frederick, spending more time with him than she initially did, even going and joining him whenever he went out and asking to join him.
Though, while Scarlet and Frederick were friendlier toward her, she noticed the slight glances of annoyance or even disdain from Scarlet as she kept getting closer to him. She also noticed again, very frequently, how Scarlet kept avoiding looking at the Friend Ball whenever it was either wrapped around her neck to hang like a necklace when they all went out or tried her very best to find something else to catch her attention so she could ignore her entirely.
"Alrighty, I think we're done here for today, so how about we head on down to Porto Marinada's Market to pick up some food for dinner?" He asked the two of them.
Both she and Scarlet agreed, and they headed back to Montenevera, with Violet's Friend Ball hanging below her head. As it swung, she noticed Scarlet glancing at it and her look growing frustrated as she stepped faster to try and walk next to Frederick, so as to avoid looking at it, causing Violet to question why she was so hostile to the simple ball hanging from her neck.
Was there something wrong about it, was it a mark of something that she didn't like, why was she acting so when it came to the ball compared to her? Scarlet wasn't ever acting this way when she was around her or even talking to her, even in battle she was treating her much nicer then compared to their first week under the same roof, but the moment the ball became visible to her... she just had this darker, more malevolent side.
It wasn't even a dark side that she could feel was directed at her, it was entirely focused on the ball itself, and not her it seemed.
Curious... but also nervous, she took the ball and hid it inside of her mane so as to try and improve the mood as they walked home. It helped, but only because Scarlet took notice of the 'lack' of the ball.
Twenty minutes later they were at the bustling seaport, and Violet ran to enjoy the ocean breeze and see the waves just crash and flow against the rocks and dock. This was by far her favorite part of traveling with Frederick, seeing new sights, and enjoying how nice the place was.
It certainly was... better than how she had to fight before she found herself in this strange land.
"Alright, you two enjoy yourselves, I'm going to see what food we can get for tonight!" Frederick told them as he went to the marketplace.
She and Scarlet roared to him, so he knew they heard, and then returned to looking out at the water.
"It... feel nice... the air." She told Scarlet.
"Yep, it has that effect... I like smelling the sea air myself, reminds me of the times I went swimming with Frederick as a kid." She replied.
She smiled and glanced at her, seeing the peaceful look as the Zoroark stared out at the water, before she became nervous and shifted her focus around to look at something else.
"Can I... ask you... question?"
One thing she was grateful for was the numerous help Frederick had given her with learning to talk to them, while she was 'slower' and used simpler words, she could hold more conversations than she used to.
"Sure, what's up?"
"Why do you... hate me...?" She asked fearfully.
"Hate you, I don't hate you."
Violet glanced at her to see that Scarlet was looking dumbfounded at that question, then she reached into her own mane and pulled the Friend Ball out to hold it out for her to see.
"Then why you... always... look upset... when you see... this... why?"
When the ball came out, that was when Scarlet glared at it, before she closed her eyes, let out a deep sigh and breathed even more deeply. Then she looked out at the ocean water and said, "I don't hate you because of the ball, or even you... as for the ball... well let's just say... it brings up very bad memories."
She pulled on a necklace and pulled her own ball out from her mane, a black and red fancy looking ball with gold-lined trims. It looked very nice to her, and she actually could see her reflection in it.
"Fancy isn't it, know what it's called?" She asked her, to which she shook her head. "It's called a Luxury Ball, and it's probably among the most expensive balls an ordinary human could buy. Even fancier when you go inside of it... feels so wonderful to rest inside of it, let me tell you. I could live inside of it for the rest of my life with how comfortable it is... can't tell you what it is like inside of the ball, it's different for each Pokemon. But for me... sigh... I just don't care and prefer to stay out of it and be with Frederick."
She flung it back into her mane without a second thought and looked sadly out at the sea.
"If Frederick had any ability to, he would have turned back time and put 'me' in that ball around your neck... and I wanted to go into it more than you could ever imagine." She told her. "You see, what you have around you is a 'Friend Ball', a very rare and special ball that are only crafted in Johto, they're hard to make, and each one is special in its own way. The Friend Ball you have, is designed to make Pokemon friendlier toward their trainer, but depending on the Pokemon, it only makes the bond between a human and Pokemon deeper. There are tons of tales and stories of how a Pokemon goes into a Friend Ball, and it doesn't even shake to confirm a catch. That means the Pokemon went in willingly and accepted the catch... because they wanted to be with the human, or Trainer."
She looked at the ball and frowned, wondering why if it was so special, did Frederick use it to catch her?
"Then... why... use it... on me?"
Scarlet huffed and looked at her. "He didn't... it was an accident, his arm flinched from the move you used on us, the pain that frostbite and the energy of your attack had caused him to fling several balls out of his pocket by accident. It just so happened that the Friend Ball was in his pocket, and it bounced furthest and hit you by coincidence. In fact, you tried to resist it... the ball had to shake three times to confirm the catch. Given 'three' is the magic number, but... Originally, he wanted to put me in the Friend Ball, but his parents forced him to use the Luxury Ball, or get rid of me... so into the Luxury Ball I went, and the next day the Friend Ball arrived. Perfect Timing..."
She looked back at Scarlet and frowned. "Then... why you no..."
"The only way to release a Pokemon is to smash the ball, and while I wouldn't mind smashing my Luxury Ball, I was saving that for a special occasion, when Frederick and I get married. As for the Friend Ball, he always kept it on him because... it was our token of our past, and he wanted to always keep it to show that no matter what, we'll always be friends first. It was our lucky charm. And... while you have it now... I just am upset that I never got to be put in that Friend Ball is all."
Violet was a little confused, it made sense up until that last phrase. "Why..."
"Look at the time you weren't exactly friendly with us, and the Friend Ball is supposed to inspire friendship between Pokemon and Trainers. After we caught you, you still were suspicious and resistant to us, it's not a big deal anymore. It also brings up bad memories of our past and... I don't want to relive them at this time, so how about we just drop the subject?"
Scarlet got up and walked away, muttering something about 'browsing the Magikarp meals' being offered, and invited Violet to tag along. She was hesitant, but followed, placing the ball in her mane again and trying not to remind Scarlet of her past.
They even found Frederick looking over the various species of fish that were on offer, Veluza meat, Remoraid Meat, Magikarp Meat and other kinds of fish meat were on offer. She looked and smelled the delicious meat, already imagining just what kind of stew Frederick and Scarlet would make together, even as Scarlet had a little 'lover's moment' together when they were picking out an item together...
When she noticed, just out of the corner of her eyesight, just barely noticeable for a fleeting second a human... watching them, watching the three of them. She tried to focus and look at them, but the instant she noticed them out of the corner of her eye, the human was gone. Hesitant to bring this up, she began sniffing the air and trying to smell that human, but it was hopeless between the sea air, the smell of seafood, various species of fish meat and all of the other myriad smells of the marketplace.
She then snuck away while they were talking about the prices, Frederick trying to get it at a lower price if it was possible, and tried to see if she could spot that human again outside of the building. But just like with the smells, it was impossible, there were so many humans, so many Pokemon walking around the place, and she didn't get a good look at them so she couldn't recognize them even if they were standing right in front of her.
But she had a strange feeling inside of her, that this human was watching them, observing them... 'stalking' them. She'd seen and felt that feeling before, having been stalked and hunted herself countless times in Hisui. Even when she hunted other humans, Pokemon, she still had the feeling of always being on edge and having to watch her back.
She glared around her, going back to Frederick and Scarlet who were still haggling, but even as they still purchased food, idled around the auction house section of the marketplace and even tried to bid on a shard of Fairy Tera Crystal, she still kept her eyes peeled for any human that was staring too much at them. She was constantly alert, even as they left and waited for a cab while Frederick talked to Scarlet.
Even though she was now used to these peaceful times, had gotten used to the mostly friendly/passive behaviors of Pokemon and Humans, and had even become accustomed to the peaceful nature of this 'region' as it was called... a small part of her 'refused' to give up its nature. That part of her that told her to be alert, be suspicious, be ready to fend off 'any' threat from 'anywhere' refused to go away from her core nature. While her human could feel at ease and unthreatened, she could not. While her fellow Zoroark may have had her 'instincts' dulled, she would not let them be so.
So, she kept herself alert, even when the cab arrived and they put their food in, even when Frederick asked her to climb in... she kept glancing around, trying to find that human again.
(Frederick's PoV)
Frederick walked out of the building where he worked in IT exhausted, glad that he was 'finally' able to go home after a long shift. He worked in Mesagoza and had timed his cab so that it arrived exactly when he was just about to leave the building so that he could quickly climb in and make his way back to Montenevera.
He had been asking his boss to try and let him work from home, but before that happened one of his other co-workers who was already working from home had to stop working from home, because their company required a minimum number of employees work in the building, and especially had to work for a certain number of years before they could apply for that. He only had to work another year before he was able to apply, but another employee had to stop working from home probably before he might be accepted.
"Where to chief?" His driver asked as the Squawkabillys began to chatter and flap.
"Montenevera, Glaseado Mountain."
"Roger, enjoy the ride!" He said as they began taking off.
He took a deep sigh as he leaned back and waited for the ride to end. It was a rough time always traveling from Mesagoza to Montenevera, because of flight zones they weren't allowed to take the shortest route, 'over' the Great Crater of Paldea. This meant that travel time from where he worked and where he lived was always long, every morning and afternoon he spent about three to four hours in a cab waiting to arrive at his destination.
He knew it wasn't ideal, he knew it was always hard especially on his relationship with Scarlet, but she also understood 'why' he was doing it. It was the safest way to live because of how unlikely anyone was to follow him between Montenevera or Mesagoza.
He'd been doing this for years now, so he and Scarlet had gotten used to the time apart. There was a time where she asked to follow him, take her with him, even saying she'll sit in the ball the entirety of his work schedule day after day if it would ease his fear even a little, but he wouldn't let her suffer just to feel a tad safer.
It had been almost two weeks since he, Scarlet and Violet all went out to Porto Marinada, but after they'd returned, he had noticed Violet had been acting 'weird', strange even. She was constantly on edge, looking around out of the windows, peaking through the doors when they were opened for any reason, constantly on the lookout when they were outside and just generally acting like she was looking for someone or something. Scarlet even had to tell her a few times to calm down and relax, because it was even creeping 'her' out, since she spent most of the day with the Hisuian Zoroark.
When questioned why she was acting like that, Violet simply growled and took one last look before saying, "I'm... on... alert... we are being hunted... watched..."
When asked, 'Who, and especially, how do you know?' she simply growled, looked around, and replied, "I not know... but someone hunts... someone stalks... someone out there... watching us... waiting for us to lower guard... waiting to strike... I no give them that chance!"
That had brought up some of his inner demons, and ever since she mentioned that they were being watched, hunted even, he had begun looking over his shoulders more often.
He hated it, he hated feeling like he was in danger and thinking his life was at risk, that was why he had immigrated here and moved to Montenevera specifically. It was so out of the way, far from the big cities, quiet, snowy, peaceful and a high out of place 'place' to live. He wanted to enjoy the quiet and snow despite the cold and troubles snow brings in daily life.
But now Violet was putting him and Scarlet on edge, and both of them were starting to hate it. Scarlet was telling him he needed to reign her in, calm her down, and tell her to stop freaking them both out, and while he agreed he also knew that Violet was just being protective and looking out for them at heart. Though he agreed with Scarlet, she 'could' stop freaking them out.
It seemed Violet 'still' had a bit of Past Sinnoh, or Hisui, still left in her nature as she was probably like this because of living in the wild as an 'Alpha' Zoroark in the region at the time.
Always on alert, always ready to fight, always on edge.
"I need to get her to stop, she's putting me and Scarlet on edge." He muttered as Montenevera came into view after over an hour of traveling. "I'm just glad tomorrow is my day off."
When they landed, he paid the fee, trudged down the road, glancing around over his shoulder and then walked up to his home on the outskirts of the snowy town.
Unlocking the door, he opened it and instantly was greeted by the furry mane and almost feral appearance of the Shiny Alpha Hisuian Zoroark, shocking him as he was 'not' expecting her to be standing on the other side of the door that close to it.
"Wha... don't DO that!" He yelled indignantly, having jumped back in surprise.
She looked apologetic, before she leaned forward and looked around, then backed up to let him inside, using the chance as he walked out to look outside 'again' before finally he could close the door.
"Violet, I understand it's late, it's dark out, but you need to relax and calm down." He told her.
"I... know... but darkness 'always'... best time for predators." Violet said as she looked at the blinded windows.
"Violet, we're up on Glaseado Mountain, it's almost thirty below zero outside tonight, there's a layer of 'snow' building up on the snow already on the ground, it's near 'midnight'... I swear there is nothing and nobody out there, except maybe a few night owls! And by night owls, I mean people like 'me' who are either coming home late or going to the nearby Pokemon Center to get a quick midnight snack!"
(And even if it's NOT a person...) Scarlet yelled as she walked over and gave Frederick a kiss on the cheek to welcome him home, before snarling and glaring at Violet. (The only Pokemon up here are ice types, and 'ghost' types, and a few steel types... all of whom work with and even protect Montenevera from things like avalanches, disruptive Pokemon, and even save people's lives who get lost or stuck in snowstorms. The worst Pokemon we'll find at this hour, is a Sneasel trying to steal food from an unlocked home!)
Violet looked between them and frowned, looking ashamed of herself.
"I... sorry... but I swear... something... someone... hunting us, stalking us..." She told them.
"Violet, how do you know?" He asked her.
She looked up at him and frowned, almost like she 'wished' she could answer him with something besides what she kept on saying. "I... I just... 'know'... I know someone stalks us... I just know."
Scarlet 'snarled' and facepalmed, before she glared at Violet and growled fiercely at the former Alpha, who though she backed up at the show of aggression, still glared back defiantly as she prepared to defend herself.
(I've HAD IT with you and your paranoia!) She screamed at Violet. (I don't care where you're from, I don't care if you had to battle Arceus itself 'every single day' just to be allowed to breathe, I don't care if humans were hunting you with sticks and rocks every minute you lived, we are NOT in Hisui. We are in Paldea!)
Scarlet advanced closer to Violet and looked almost ready to attack her.
(I'm telling you, for the last time, quit that 'being hunted' routine, or I SWEAR I'LL MAKE IT COME TRUE! You have been freaking me and Frederick out for the past two weeks, he and I haven't been able to sleep properly since we got home from Porto Miranada, because you keep on acting like someone is about to attack us over our shoulders and each night, and I am SICK OF IT!) She then turned to look at him with an insistent glare. (Tell her to quit it, Frederick, I want to sleep at night and so do you! She's freaked you out more than me, and I won't tolerate it anymore!)
He could see the two of them looking to him to resolve the situation, Scarlet furiously glaring and demanding he take action while Violet, though still looking defensive was actually looking afraid as she feared what he would do to her at Scarlet's request. He could see Violet was scared, and that alone was the reason why he didn't reprimand her or get upset at her because of Scarlet.
But he also knew that Scarlet was right, she had to stop acting this way, he and her were getting fed up and going a little crazy.
He sighed as he looked between the two of them. "Look, this is starting to get out of hand... and we're all starting to get really upset at each other, you two especially, and I don't want to say anything or do anything that I know we'll end up regretting eventually." He explained as he pulled out Violet's Friend Ball, "So for at least tonight, Violet... will you please rest in your ball, at least until Scarlet calms down and we've had a night to rest. If it makes you feel better, I'll install new security for the house."
She looked at the ball before looking back at him, and then nodding in acceptance, but the entire time she looked hurt... hurt that they didn't believe her. Though he did rub her head, causing her to gain a small happy smile, as he let her know that he wasn't mad at her.
After a moment she was recalled into the ball, and Scarlet let out a groan of frustration as he took a deep breathe.
Frustrated as well, and feeling slightly guilty, he just leaned on the door and felt the need to get something sugary to drink.
"Scarlet, I need a drink, I'm going to the nearby store to get a drink." He told her.
Scarlet nodded as she also declared she'd tag along with him, saying something along the lines of, (I need something as well.)
Exiting the house, he heard the door lock behind him and both he and Scarlet walked out into the snowdrift of Glaseado Mountain. It was cold, as usual, a little colder than normal but otherwise everything was the usual here in Montenevera.
"Brark, blrawk brkawr!" He and Scarlet looked behind them, hearing the barking sounds, and saw a random Greavard barking, shaking its butt happily before it ran between two houses.
"Heh, little buggers." He muttered, hearing them very often around Montenevera.
Scarlet agreed, as she turned and kept walking with them, both knowing the drill when it came to Greavards around Montenevera. Ignore them, or they will 'never' leave you alone. That and they both liked having their life forces not sapped from them while still breathing by a little ghost dog.
At the store they browsed the drinks, and he settled on a can of soda while she got him to buy her a flavored water drink. After he made the purchase, they made their way back to the home. Though for some reason, he was feeling that something was off, ever so slightly off. Shaking his head, he opened the can of soda and drank, feeling the fuzzy drink go down his throat while Scarlet drank her flavored water beside him.
'Perhaps Scarlet was right, Violet has been putting us both on edge too much...'
Trying to take his mind off that annoying feeling he was having, he looked up and smiled at the snow falling tonight was ever so slightly different. Perhaps it was because of the way the moon was positioned beyond the clouds giving off these God Rays of light in the breaks, but the snow falling just had this diamond-like appearance.
"The snow is prettier tonight then usual isn't it, Scarlet?"
She glanced up and smiled before glancing at him. (Not as handsome as 'you' though~!)
"That's 'my' line, I'm supposed to say, 'it's not as pretty as you'!" He told her with a fake moan of annoyance.
(You snooze you lose lover boy...) She giggled before she leaned over and shared a kiss with him.
After that they just chose to stand there with their hand/claw gripping the other, drinking their preferred drinks and just enjoying the sight of the snow falling peacefully and enjoying each other's company. It was almost enough, 'almost' enough to completely remove that creepy feeling at the back of his mind, but it was enough to make him forget about it while he stood next to his girlfriend.
(Hey... Uh... I know you don't want to be reminded of her now but... I've been uh... noticing something about Violet recently.) Scarlet whispered in his mind as they began finishing their drinks.
"What is it?" He asked.
He looked at her as she looked at her empty water and expertly tossed it into a trash bin nearby. (Violet's been staring at you a lot more, like a 'lot' more. I've noticed also how you... and her uh... spend time together.) She said in a neutral tone, but he could just tell she was trying hard to keep her tone neutral. (And... I know I shouldn't be asking this but... you aren't uh... doing anything with her behind my...)
"Scarlet, why would you think for a moment that I would be cheating on 'you'?" He asked her.
(I mean... well... alright look, I know, it's stupid but... she is... 'floofier', in the mane and... she's actually nice, when she's not acting like an idiot and scaring us. She may be a bit fiercer than me but, she her heart is in the right place and... she enjoys spending time with you and takes every chance she can. She also has been training hard, practicing hard, doing everything she can to improve herself and... And I've noticed how quickly she softened up to you especially... I've also uh... noticed she keeps on peeping on us when we wrestle in bed. She 'definitely' wants to try and get your attention, so I think a part of me just believes she's using this whole... 'stalking' thing to...) She stammered and fiddled with her claws, before glancing at him and sighing and looking away in shame. (I'm not using to competition alright... I just... was worried... you can forgive me, right?)
He sighed as he tossed his soda away and then turned and pulled Scarlet along until he found a nearby bench where they could sit together. Once they sat down, he held Scarlet's claw and patted her shoulder, causing her to smile a little at his affection. "I get it, for a Human like me, I don't have to worry about another guy potentially hitting on you. But for you, you think if a Pokemon starts trying to vie for my attention, you'll have to compete and you might lose it."
She nodded as she agreed to everything he said. (Look, I have accepted you as my life mate... you don't 'ever' have to think I'll be swayed away from you. But... having another Zoroark, especially a female... who is showing the same... 'attraction' I had for you when I became... attracted to you. Got to me...) She said with a sigh of regret.
"Well... I don't know what to say... but, if you want me to tell her that..."
(No... no I don't want you to say she has to leave you alone.) She said with a shake of her head. (Look, she's only just warming up to you and me, you especially, she doesn't trust other humand and Pokemon yet... if she's developing a crush on you and you break her heart... then she might never trust anyone ever again, especially after we've been telling her how people and Pokemon work together... even going so far as to get married here in Paldea. Ugh... great now I feel even worse after I yelled at her earlier when she was just trying to look out for us.)
He patted her shoulder to comfort her and she smiled appreciatively. "How about we just head home, go to bed, sleep, and tomorrow we both apologize to her for how we treated her?" He reasoned. "She's still new to Paldea, she's spent her whole like fighting and struggling just to 'live' and that wears someone down mentally and emotionally. She just needs some more time to get used to being able to not feel the need to be on alert for her life. Once she's used to being here in Paldea..."
Scarlet nodded in agreement, liking that plan as well, and together they got up and began walking home again.
Though as he walked, he noticed there were a lot more Greavards packed together and barking excitedly near one of the outer alleyways. He however ignored them, someone was probably just taking a nap in the cold with an electric blanket and they were trying to get them to pay attention to them, it happened often enough, especially during the summer months when it was only ten above outside. He and Scarlet ignored them though, as they did not want to deal with Greavards following them and never leaving them alone! Cute as they were, they weren't worth the trouble.
In their home he took off his jacket, changed into his pajamas and placed Violet's Friend Ball on the nearby drawer, just so they would at least feel close to her, and so he could call her out in the morning so they could apologize to her. With that, they turned off the lights, climbed into bed... and soon started to sleep.
(Multi PoV, thirty minutes later)
They had been laying in their bed for a wonderful half an hour when all of a sudden... the tiny hum of the heating in their home... fell silent. After it went silent it started to get a little uncomfortably cold, and Scarlet growled and groggily started to get up and look around to see what was wrong. Then she tried to turn on the light, but the light switch didn't work. Confused she looked outside to see the snow still falling, and looked at the thermometers they had planted outside and inside of their bedroom window. The outside one read 'Thirty-five Below', and the inside one read 'Five Below' and slowly falling.
(What the... is the power out?) She asked in confusion, as they had an extremely reliable electrical network in Montenevera.
Power Outages were almost non-existent, the one time there 'was' a power outage, it had been fixed within ten minutes. They even had an emergency backup generator installed into each house in town just in case something 'did' happen, resulting in every house relying on their own power until the network was fixed again.
(Backup Generator should have kicked in within minutes of the power going out...) She muttered in confusion while Frederick slowly started waking up.
"Mhmmah... what's wrong Scarlet? W-wha, why is it so cold?" He said as he felt the cold through his pajamas upon sitting up.
(I don't know, power is out probably...) She said while taking her mane and flinging over him and her, even pulling the blankets back over them so they could stay warm. (Don't worry, it's probably only temporary... if it is a neighborhood power outage, they'll have it fixed very soon. For all we know, there's even electricians on the way to check everyone's backup generator and fix them if there's a problem!)
*Ding Dong...*
She glanced to the bedroom door and chuckled.
(Speak of Giratina itself, probably the electrician or even a neighbor asking if we're alright!) She said with a smirk as she got up and headed to the door. (I'll answer it, I'll holler if they need you for something~!)
She opened the door and closed it, trying to preserve some of their heat, noticing how 'cold' the front room was and even shivering a little as she walked to the front door. Their door didn't have an eye-hole to see who was on the other side, but that was never really a problem since the window was next to it so they could see who was there at any time. Problem tonight, it was very cloudy, so it was exceptionally dark outside tonight, only a few street lights were on which confused her as if it was a neighborhood power outage, there shouldn't be any lights on.
Still, there was another knock on the door, and she just assumed it was either a neighbor or someone walking to see if they were alright.
She opened the door and said, (Hello?), but she didn't see anyone there.
Confused, she opened the door wider, thinking perhaps they were just off to the side for whatever reason, maybe because of the cold they had fidgeted out of view for a moment.
(Hello?)
A split second later, a blur of purple flashed in front of her, and a pair of golden yellow eyes bored into her, paralyzing her into a sudden stiffness as she tried to jump back in fear and surprise. But the Arbok, as she focused and recognized it, was quicker, darting forward and wrapping its entire body around her so she didn't hit the floor, even using its mouth to clamp her mouth shut so she couldn't scream. The paralysis was only temporary as she fought it off, but the Arbok's grip was so much stronger than her muscles could break through. She tried to fight it, tried to break free, tried to scream mentally, but a venom was now coursing through her veins that was weakening her mind, making it harder to speak telepathically.
She knew her telepathic range, if she shouted, she could probably reach to about their bedroom from the front door, but with the poison coursing through her now, she could barely scream past the couch. Being a Dark Type had its limits when it came to using telepathy to speak.
"MHmhmmmhammm!" She tried to scream, but the Arbok only tightened its coils, painfully gripping her and sinking its fangs deeper into her if she struggled further.
That was when she saw... a human... a human woman, walk in... and slowly shut the door, quiet as a Maushold family creeping through.
She froze in horror, terror... as she recognized the human woman, a woman from years ago, when Frederick had been in high school, it was one of his ex-girlfriends... an absolute horrible girl that she and Frederick thought they'd never have to see her 'ever again'.
She was around the same age as Frederick, and she looked down at her through very clouded and bloodshot eyes, her face just looking at her in 'mild' disgust, only barely acknowledging her.
She breathed very slowly, terrified as the woman, Veneatte, walked over to the nearby counter, looked at the various Pokeballs sitting there, acting as souvenirs, empty and otherwise useless, and pulled out a tiny screwdriver to undo something on the bottom of them. Each of them she undid, and then... yanked out, what looked like power supplies, little circuits... and began breaking them into tiny pieces.
"Hhhhmmhhh... hmmhhhh..." She breathed in terror as she realized what she was doing.
If those Pokeballs had had any Pokemon inside of them... she would basically have been killing them.
The Pokeballs were designed to be perfect containers and storage mediums for a Pokemon, able to store, protect, and contain them from the outside world in digital cyberspace contained within the ball itself. To the Pokemon, it was like that one weird movie that she and Frederick watched when it was all the rage, The Matrix. They became energy and data, stored inside of the ball's memory, and entered a virtual environment meant to keep them comfortable and aware of their surroundings. Even if they were sleeping soundly, in the back of their minds the Pokeball was sending them information about what was going on outside, sounds, temperatures, the works, only visual data wasn't sent. Years could pass outside, and yet inside the Pokeball, a Pokemon was kept safe, the aging process slowed to a certain degree while they were energy stored as data.
While the Pokeballs had various safety mechanics in place to preserve and ensure any Pokemon inside of them was protected while inside, there was however... 'one' method... to kill a Pokemon, in probably the worst way imaginable, provided they 'knew' how to do it. If one were to remove the power supply of a Pokeball, and then pull out the circuitry that recorded the digital data of a Pokemon while it was inside the Pokeball itself... and then for whatever Arceus forsaken reason they were compelled to do so... physically break it apart... they would be lost... forever. It was a fate worse than any kind of death imaginable... she couldn't even 'think' what it must feel like... to die that way.
The only people who knew of that knowledge, were those who developed, distributed, and designed Pokeballs and they kept that information behind mental vaults of titanium. Nobody... could ever learn how to do that because of what it could mean for every Pokeball ever created and for 'every' Pokemon in existence.
So, the fact that this woman... knew how to do that, was utterly terrifying, and she had been doing that... for 'years' now. How she learned to do that, was simple, she had been practicing on wild Pokemon before Frederick met her, and she'd been using that on various boyfriends and friends of hers when she felt they had been spending too much time with their 'Pokemon' instead of with her.
She was a psychopath... a murderer, a witch in every sense of the word and she was only stopped and found out when she'd tried to do that to 'her'.
She breathed rapidly, fearfully, terrified as she didn't know how Veneatte found them, or what she had come here for, but she knew she was trouble. They'd come here specifically to avoid her, they'd thought there was no way, no way in the distortion world she'd ever find them here of all placed. In all of Paldea, this was supposed to be a 'safe place' for them! She was banned from ever traveling outside of Kanto!
But she had bigger things to worry about as Veneatte finished with the balls, and then turned toward her, stared at her, looked away... and began walking toward the kitchen.
(No... stay... stay away from him!) She tried to scream, but she'd already left the range of her weakened telepathy.
Veneatte walked to the kitchen, reached into their cabinet where they stored cutting tools and other utensils they used to cook, and grabbed the largest, sharpest cutting knife they had.
(No... stop... let me go... you have to let me go!) She pleaded, trying to get the Arbok to see reason as Veneatte began slowly walking toward the bedroom. (Please... I'm begging you; she's going to kill him... let me go!)
Unfortunately, the Arbok only tightened its grip, refusing to let go, refusing to let up on the pressure its mouth had on her muzzle. It didn't care, didn't listen to her, didn't even bother to look away while its trainer neared the door.
"Scarlet, is everything alright?" A voice called from the bedroom, resulting in Scarlet freezing, fearing what would happen.
She looked to the Arbok again, and her eyes were crying desperation tears now, her heart racing as a million thoughts raced about what she could do if only she had even the tiniest smidgen of freedom of movement. But this Arbok was a Kantonian Arbok, and Pokemon of that region, especially those who were either recently caught, or spent a very, very, very long time with a trainer... almost 'never' disobeyed their trainer's orders unless it was for a very good reason, such as they had no respect for them or they didn't trust them.
(Please he's my mate, he's my life mate, we never did anything wrong... I want to have his pups... let me save him, don't do this, you don't have to listen to her, she doesn't care about you, she's going to kill him I'm begging you!) She cried. (By Arceus' plates, by the laws of time and space, by Xerneas' gift of life and Yveltal's rule over death, have a soul and don't let her kill him!)
Frederick was starting to get nervous as Scarlet hadn't returned yet, so he had gotten up to see what was up, when he heard a knock on his bedroom door.
As he heard that knock, he heard breathing on the other side, and leaned down to look through the old key hole the door had but had since lost so it was always unlocked. Through the tiny hole he looked and saw, a very deep pale colored hand hanging there, meaning someone was inside his and Scarlet's house, someone 'uninvited'.
"Frederick... let me in Frederick."
His heart pounded heavily as he heard that voice, he remembered it so well but he had tried to forget because he thought he'd never see her ever again. But he had other things to think about, as he leaned heavily against the door to keep her from getting in. He looked around feverishly for his phone, until he realized in horror it was in his 'coat pocket', he'd left it there out of habit.
"Frederick... let me in... I just want to talk..."
"Veneatte, why are you here?!" He yelled.
"I just came to talk... let me in." She replied in a very monotone voice.
"What about Scarlet? What have you done with Scarlet?"
He breathed heavily as he listened outside, until she said again in that drolling voice, "I will kill her, unless you... Let. Me. In."
Fearing for her life, he opened the door and quickly backed up as she slowly walked in, reeking of alcohol and other stuff. She had bloodshot eyes that were clouded as she walked in, staring right at him with this sick smile plastered on her face, as if she were 'happy' to see him but it was the 'wrong' kind of happy. She smiled as he continued to back up, one armed placed behind her back while the other closed the door behind her.
Then she stepped closer... closer.
"It's been so long Frederick... you look even 'more' handsome since we last saw each other."
"Veneatte, what are you doing here... how did you find us?" He demanded as she took a step closer, that sick, scary smile still on her face.
"I thought we could... start over... from scratch... you know, just the two of us." She said in a sick warm tone.
"How did you get here, you had a permanent-" He tried to say but her head tilted ever so slightly, and she interrupted him again.
"Frederick, why are you bringing up the past... you know how much that hurts you... let's just forget about it... and start all over." She whispered 'seductively'. "You just have to... send her away... just tell that 'thing' to go away... and it can be the two of us... just the two of us..."
"What did you do with Scarlet... why are you-"
"Why do you keep saying that name... that's not 'its' name, it's not called 'that'... don't... tell me you... prefer being with... 'it'." She said as the smile began fading. "Why can't you be 'normal'... and spend time with 'people'... and not 'those things'... that's why I tried to help you..."
"You tried to 'kill' her..." He said. "You needed help, you were-"
"I just... wanted you... to be 'normal'... to stop spending more time with 'them' and instead with 'people'..." She whispered taking a step closer, her arms twitching ever so slightly, her breathing becoming more sporadic, desperate even. "If... if you start over with me... we can be happy... we just need to get rid of 'it' first... and then... then we can have a happy life!"
"I'm not getting rid of Scarlet, she's everything to me!" He interrupted her.
In that moment, he knew he made his biggest mistake he could. She looked almost heart broken, but then she had the most disappointed frown he'd ever seen a person wear as she slowly revealed what she was hiding behind her back, a large kitchen knife, one from his kitchen drawer that he recognized.
"I thought we could... start over... but if you don't want to be 'normal'... then I can't let you live EITHER!" She screeched as she swung the knife and lunged forward.
He side stepped her and grabbed at her arm, both of them struggling and fighting for control of the knife, bumping and knocking everything around in the bedroom. Veneatte was frothing and looking hysteric as she screamed like a wild Pokemon, mad and crazy as she began biting and trying to get him to let go. He was desperate to hold on, trying to grab anything to help weaken her grip on the knife and stop her, but in the struggle, she shoved him into first the dressing drawer, knocking stuff onto the ground and then forcing him painfully onto the bed.
He screamed in pain as she managed a cut on his arm and finally let go out of sheer instinct.
She smiled sadistically as she raised the knife to stab him, completely ignorant of the fact that there was a sudden flash of light behind her, and a large imposing mane of purple and white fur now shifted around.
She did however notice, when a purple claw gripped her shoulder, yanked her back, and then flung her into the wall with a large, "Zroawaara!"
Violet glared viciously at the human, immediately seeing the danger and reacting to protect her human without any hesitation. This human was dangerous, and as she got back to her feet, screeched in a feral voice and lunged to kill her with that sharp weapon, Violet knew there was only one thing that mattered.
Frederick... Scarlet... she had to protect them; she would not let them come to harm.
She leapt back, but also leapt forward, in a brief moment, two of her appeared. One to protect Frederick, the other to end this.
She turned and grabbed Frederick's body and lifted it to a standing position, pulling him into a hug as she used her body as a shield, while the other her lunged and went to grab the female threatening them.
Veanette stabbed the Zoroark in front of her, smiling as she hit the heart, and tried to pull it out to finish off Frederick, but Violet did not let her go, instead she reached up and grabbed her arm, snarling and glaring at the human, her eyes glowing golden and menacing, slowly changing colors to a sick crimson red as her body began to shiver and wave. Meanwhile the 'real' Violet, used her body to cover Frederick's, shielding his eyes as she did not want him to see what was about to happen.
In a moment, the illusion Zoroark began to explode outward and become this wreathing mass of darkness and cruelty, bitterness and malice, resentment and hatred all pouring from repressed feelings since entering this new world for one 'final' demonstration against the true cruelty of this world. The feral female human 'screamed' in terror as it flung at her...
Scarlet heard the scream, the sounds, and breathed in fear as she feared the worst, crying and praying to Arceus, begging him to protect Frederick, pleading to 'anything' to let her human still be alive and well.
Then the door slowly began to creep open, and a writhing mass of darkness and ghostly energy with crimson red eyes glowing in the cold dark house, flew toward her and the Arbok. The Arbok, seeing this terrifying 'thing' let her go and tried to flee for its life, but it flew over her and swallowed the snake as it made a break for it out the window, crashing through the glass and letting the full fury of the cold of Glaseado Mountain into their home.
She looked back at the broken window before turning toward the bedroom, and watched as Violet walked out, standing straight up and dragging an unconscious female human with one arm out of it, looking completely unfazed by what just happened. But she had a soft expression on her face as she pulled the injured Veneatte out of Frederick's Room. She looked at Scarlet, and gave a short nod of reassurance.
Not believing her without seeing it for herself, she slowly got up and stumbled into the bedroom where she saw Frederick, sitting on his bed, shaken and looking scared, but alive. She moaned as she flung herself at him, pulling him into a tight hug as she refused, absolutely refused to let him go.
(Fred... I was so... I was scared...) She whispered tearfully.
"It's alright... it's alright... it's going to be alright..." He whispered just as nervously, holding her tightly as well.
After a bit of tenderness, reassurance, and especially concern, they slowly left his room and headed out to see Violet had dragged in the Arbok, and had laid both of them together, keeping their eyes on the two of them. When she noticed them, she nodded and stepped away from the two intruders to go and be them.
Scarlet, pulled Violet into a hug and cried tearfully, gratefully, whispering, "Thank you... thank you for saving him."
Violet, not used to seeing her so... like this, just awkwardly patted her shoulder and nodded in acceptance. But even though she wasn't used to seeing Scarlet like this, she could feel the gratitude emanating from the Dark Zoroark for saving her mate. Frederick came over and thanked her for saving his life as well, and then both of them glanced down at the unconscious duo to realize that, even though Violet had horribly injured them with her illusion, causing terrible burns and vicious looking cuts, both Veneatte and the Arbok were still breathing.
"You didn't... kill her... but... she tried to..." He said, looking at the former Alpha Zoroark in confusion, not understanding why she'd let her live when, based on her own history, she would have killed this human in the past in Hisui.
Violet nodded, then said, "I... not... kill... you said... no need to... kill. I don't... want to kill... anymore." she then glanced at her claw and, for the first time, smiled happily at him. "She... bad human... you... good human... I like you... want to protect you... keep you safe... make you... happy... did I... do good?"
He laughed, very slightly, but he laughed regardless as he hugged her and nodded, whispering she did do good. Scarlet also hugged the two of them, happily nuzzling her beloved and graciously welcoming and accepting Violet into their private circle.
[Narrator]
[Soon after the incident, neighbors came over and some had reported something happening at Frederick and Scarlet's home. The police arrived shortly afterwards and even the Pokemon League showed up when the Arbok was reported. Veneatte was taken into custody and Frederick, Scarlet and Violet were given arrangements into a Pokemon League run Hotel in Montenevera, and even had an armed police officer stationed outside their room for safety and peace of mind until their home could be fixed.]
[It took a few hours but it was later learned that Veneatte had snuck out of Kanto because an airport agent didn't do a full check on her when she boarded a plane bound for Paldea, allowing her to slip through and into the region. From there, she began stalking and trying to find him, according to her, 'wanting to apologize' and say how she was a changed girl and nothing more. But seeing him so very close to Scarlet, had caused her to relapse, drink, and take a drug that affected her mind, resulting in her going to his home that night in an almost feral state of mind.]
[She was taken back to Kanto, charged, and placed into solitary confinement for life, never to be seen in Frederick's life ever again. The night of the break in, Violet had tried to ask 'who' the woman was, and how they knew her, but Scarlet told her to not ask, saying... she'll explain the next day when they were rested.]
[Violet was going to return to her ball, but Scarlet, having warmed up to the Hisuian Zoroark, told her that... she was welcomed to sleep with Frederick, saying... she deserved to be with them. So, Violet laid down in bed, taking a comforting sniff of her human that she'd defended, while Scarlet snuggled into place and hugged him while he hugged her as well. Smiling, the Hisuian Zoroark sighed happily and snuggled into place herself, happy to have been accepted at long last into their 'den'.]
(Scarlet and Violet's PoV)
Both the Zoroarks were staying in the hotel and just sitting on the bed in silence while Frederick went out to inspect the damages done to their home and fill out boring paperwork, allowing them to finally talk about what had happened last night, and for Scarlet to explain 'who' Veneatte was.
"She was his ex-girlfriend, and I have to say, he'd had several in the past before he finally committed with me, but she was by far the absolute 'worst'." She muttered while staring at the floor. "At first, she seemed normal enough, they started dating in the tail end of high school, she was his first attempt at dating. It was typical high school drama, she looked pretty, he was a senior in high school, wanted to boast about how pretty his girl was to the guys."
Violet listened carefully, not understanding much but just listening nonetheless.
"They only were dating for a few months, when both of us noticed her acting 'odd' around me, it was only 'me'. She kept on trying to shoo me away, I was still only a Zorua at the time, and when Frederick and I first met here in Paldea, he was just on school trip from Sinnoh, we met, hit it off, and I joined him back home in Sinnoh. But when they started dating, she tried to shove me out of his life while she was there, telling me to put me away, get rid of me, wanting him to spend time with 'her' and not 'me'. At first, we tolerated it because... well that's what couples are supposed to do, spend time with each other... but every time he wasn't there in the room with me... she scared me with this... 'look' in her eyes."
Violet looked at her with a curious look, not once imagining Scarlet to ever be 'terrified' with exception to last night.
"She terrified me, scared me, and it all came to a head one night, when she came over and asked me to go and hide just so she wouldn't get upset with me. I listened, but I still was scared, she didn't seem right and I didn't trust her, but I hid regardless since I didn't want to hurt his chances of having a girlfriend. After a while, so I was told, he mentioned he had to go and get my Pokeball since he left it upstairs in his room, and they were going up there anyway. He told me that, they went up there, and he was about to get my ball from his coat pocket, when the phone rang and he instead walked downstairs, leaving her alone. I snuck out of my spot to follow and see what it was, and it turned out his parents had ordered us pizza and they were calling asking what we wanted since they wouldn't be home till much later. Heh..."
Scarlet frowned as she smiled sadly at Violet, remembering that moment so clearly, especially after they walked upstairs to ask what Veneatte wanted.
"We walked in, phone in Frederick's hand, about to ask what she wanted on the pizza, when we saw her... with the Friend Ball in hand... dismantling it... trying to kill 'me', thinking I was inside of it." She sighed. "When he asked what she was doing, she smiled and said, she was 'getting rid of me', without even thinking about it. After realizing what she said... she then tried to pretend and explain that she saw something wrong with it, and was trying to fix the ball... but..." She shook her head and shuddered. "After that, she was never trusted again, and he told 'everyone' about how she had tried to destroy the Friend Ball and kill me, not realizing that my ball was a Luxury Ball. When that came out, all of her old friends, current friends, old boyfriends... started asking questions. It was eventually learned that, for 'years', she had been killing off her friends, families and even ex-boyfriend's Pokemon when she thought they were paying more attention to them then to her. She'd wait until they were busy, then she'd take their ball while they were inside, and then... then she'd put the ball back to how it was but, when the Pokemon never appeared or came out, she'd play it off saying they probably 'ran away' or are outside. There were... so many missing Pokemon filed... so many... and that might have been me, if Frederick never felt the need to keep me inside my Luxury Ball."
She cried tearfully as she hiccupped and hugged herself, feeling horrible at the memory and feeling sick at the mere 'thought' that... if she had ever, at any point, at any time that day wanted to stay in her ball...
Violet, understood, she had felt that feeling many times, escaping death, avoiding death, dodging it and simply accepting the fact that her time might have come but it hadn't and just living on. She however was confused, if Scarlet didn't trust this human girl, why not scare her off and attack?
"I'm a Pokemon, I'm not wild like you were, even in this day and age, wild Pokemon do not attack and kill humans for no reason. Pokemon raised by humans, especially trained ones, respect humans and we never attack unless its self-defense, and even then, we don't do lasting or even semi-threatening harm to them. Besides, at the time she was his girlfriend, and I didn't want to make Frederick upset at me." She explained. "That's one of the downsides to being a 'civilized' Pokemon, we sometimes trust humans too much, but that's how it is. Anyway, she's gone now, and thankfully she's never coming back."
Violet nodded, glad to know that the female would never threaten them again, but one thing confused her. Scarlet proclaimed Frederick as her 'life mate', something she only began to grasp now after seeing them so close to each other, but she also said Frederick had many 'ex-girlfriends'. "You say... he had many girlfriends... what happened to them?"
Scarlet sighed as she reached into her mane and pulled out the Luxury Ball to stare at it.
"Me, that's what happened." She said dully. "After Veneatte, I didn't trust any girl with his feelings or heart. So, even after High School and his second girlfriend attempt failed, a high school cheerleader, who turned out was double dating a part time Gym Trainer. Every time he dated a girl, I would disguise, sneak around and see if I could find out if they were cheating on him or doing anything nefarious behind his back. Unfortunately, I occasionally took things too far... and sometimes I... misinterpreted things and that got girls angry at him. Even after he explained 'why', they just thought I was being intrusive and so stayed away from him."
She shook her head in shame and shoved the ball back into her mane.
"He forgave me, but after a few years while overseas in Paldea for college, he stopped dating all together and... became a loner, became depressed. Because of what I'd done, just trying to keep him safe, I'd ended up scaring away any hope of having a normal girlfriend. Of course... when I evolved into a Zoroark, and I began spending more time with him, I started feeling attracted to him, started falling in love with him. So... one day... I took a gamble, and... offered him my heart, promising him I'd be there every moment of his life. He was nervous, wondering if... but I made a convincing case when that night... I took him as my life mate, regardless of his decision."
She smiled as she recalled that night, his parents were asleep since he was home for a holiday, and he was wondering if it would be alright to date her, but she gave him the final push by giving him her virginity, and sealing her life by becoming his life mate. She may have rushed it, but she was dedicated, and that dedication, when he learned of how important a 'life mate' was to a Zoroark, and how she was willing to do it for him 'despite' not accepting, made him accept her feelings. She even gave him a way out, saying, if he didn't release inside of her, then he wasn't her life mate officially, and she'd accept it, just happy to have given him her virginity was enough to show her feelings were genuine.
Instead...
"Of course, his parents didn't approve, they noticed us spending way more time together than usual, and they tried to get him to release me, return to Sinnoh. But... by then he'd decided that he wanted to marry me, and I was willing to go every step with him. So... when his parents cut off his college funding, refusing to pay for him to attend school, he funded it himself, taking jobs, loans, anything so he didn't have to return to Sinnoh. He went through immigration process, and a bunch of other things so we could live here. We've been dating ever since, though, in actuality the only reason we're waiting this long to get a marriage license is because I want to keep battling, so our lawyer is having to go through a bunch of procedures so that we can have a battling-license since a Marriage Certificate nullifies me from being entered in Pokemon Battles. And... now you know everything."
Again, Violet was still struggling to fully understand everything, but she got the gist of it, then she glanced down and noticed that Scarlet's stomach was still flat, and this caused her to question something else. "Why... you no have... any little ones?" She asked. "You mate him, yes? Why you no have..."
"Why do we not have any little baby Zoruas running around despite you seeing us rustle and tussle under the blankets in the bedroom?" She giggled questioningly. "Well, that ones on him, see he has a low sperm count... he has a harder time on average, asked the doctors. That and I'm a Pokemon so already it's harder than normal for us to get pregnant, so every year my heat comes around, ten or so months in between each cycle, I take some medicine to try and boost my odds, same as him. We cross our fingers, hope for the best... hasn't worked for the past few years and the last time... well... you kind of... appeared and interfered."
Violet looked down at her belly again and then glanced at her own, gently patting it as she realized how she had ruined their chances now. That gave her an idea. "If... I help... will you let... Frederick... mate me too?"
That caught Scarlet off guard, as while she suspected and even figured Violet was showing interests in Frederick, she didn't think she would come out and just ask if she'd get him to mate her. "Uhm... any particular reason... why?"
"He... nice... he... good human, and he mate you... you want pups with him, you like him, yes?" She asked curiously, which Scarlet nodded. "I... also want... pups... I... also like him, I would... like pups with him... if you... allow?"
She sighed as she assumed that was the main reason, she could take the wild nature out of the Hisuian Zoroark, but she couldn't take the nature of Wild Hisui out of the Zoroark. She wanted to have a pup, that was a big thing among wild Pokemon, and even Pokemon in general, breeding was very important to them and their lineages. That was one major reason why she wanted to have a pup with Frederick herself, because she so wanted that family with him.
"Alright, how will you help me?"
(Enter Frederick's PoV, Two Months Later)
It took her some convincing, and they all talked together, but eventually, Frederick and Scarlet both accepted Violet's feelings for him and, after she'd laid down some ground rules, allowing him to start dating Violet as well alongside her. Scarlet didn't disapprove as she had come to accept Violet's feelings, especially after she saved their lives, and especially since for two weeks they believed she was just being paranoid, when in truth, she was right and was just trying to keep them safe.
They both apologized to her for how they treated her, but she told them, in a very 'un-Hisuian way', that she would have been happier being proved wrong, then she was to have been proven right. She also proclaimed that, her illusions would never be that strong ever again, as in her own words... such illusions, were not needed in this age, and she didn't need to fight for every moment she lived anymore.
Violet was also very sweet when it came to dates, as she was still very unfamiliar with the idea of 'spending time' with someone you were going to live with forever hopefully, or especially marry. They never went on anything extravagant, at most moonlit walks, eating food on warmer snowy days, watching sunsets and maybe even a movie together. Scarlet occasionally joined them so she could be with Frederick, and she even got a little teasing in as usual with kisses and getting Violet to kiss Frederick as well.
Scarlet during the days when Frederick was at work, would even have her own fun with Violet by teaching her the ways of 'foreplay', showing her that unlike in Ancient Hisui, in modern times sex wasn't just the simple act of breeding that wild pokemon did, instead they enhanced their partner's pleasure levels 'before' that moment happened, and enjoyed the act as much as the aftermath.
It was now the day of Scarlet's heat, and they were sitting just outside of Medali waiting on Violet's return from a place that was 'banned' entry to everyone. They were just enjoying a picnic as an excuse, to allow Violet the chance to go into the place known as... The Great Crater of Paldea. She'd said that there were herbs in the crater that would help her, as she said she recognized them from her home. How she recognized them, or how such herbs could be found in Paldea when they were native to Sinnoh, she didn't have the answer... but they trusted her.
So, they watched and waited, pretending to be casually just enjoying the scenery and the sights, smells and everything else while waiting on Violet to return from the crater.
"I'm getting worried about her Scarlet." He whispered through a mouth of sandwich.
(I know... but she insisted that we not go in with her... but I trust her now, if she says she'll be safe, she'll be safe.) She told him as well. (But damn, I hope she hurries... my heat is 'killing' me Frederick!)
They kept on eating and looking around, waiting, hoping she would be fine, but both of them secretly worrying that something bad might have happened to her. She had told them of her time 'before' she encountered them in Tagtree Thicket, and the stories she'd told them were both mystical and horrifying. She told of a beautiful landscape, filled with almost paradise-like fields of grass and meadows of flowers, amazing crystals and colorful displays of light. But she also told them of the horrible, terrifying Pokemon she had hid from, shied from, terrified to approach and afraid to battle. She, an 'Alpha' of Hisui, shied away from these Pokemon that put to shame any other Pokemon outside of the crater. She'd told them, that she'd hidden in a cave, surviving on what little plant life, water, and whatever else she could find to eat until she had enough strength to climb 'out' of the crater wall without being spotted by the numerous roaming Pokemon.
She'd said, she never felt such fear as she'd felt when she avoided being hunted by a specific Pokemon that caught sight of her, and refused to let her escape and searched for 'days' until finally it gave up the hunt for her.
Not able to do anything else, they sat and wait, hoping she would be fine.
Nearly six hours later when they'd delayed as long as they could and began to pack things up, they finally spotted Violet leaping from the nearby cliff, her mane flying in the light breeze as she arrived at long last. She landed in front of them and opened her claws to reveal several strings of herbs in her clutches. They were little pink things, and other then looking like the mythical herbs of Paldea referred to as 'Herba Mysticas', they just looked like every day ordinary herbs that they'd seen at the Porto Marinada markets.
"These are the herbs you spoke of, that you said help boost pregnancy odds?" He asked her.
"Yes... my mother... ate them, before she mated." She said, handing most of them to Scarlet. "She just ate them, and then... mated. She had egg, weeks later."
Scarlet looked at the herbs in her hands and then glanced at Frederick, before nodding and then instantly eating them. "Hrmm... these are so 'sweet'... why are they so 'sweet'... I mean I'm not complaining but still!" She said in surprise.
"Hey Violet, are you alright, you look a little..."
Violet looked at the tiny clutch of herbs in her claw and ate them, before finally responding to Frederick's answer. "I saw... scary... thing down there... I had to be... careful coming back." She said quietly, when he tried to ask what happened she shook her head. "It... not matter... we go home... now?"
She could tell that she was shaken, and he nodded, not wanting to pressure her or push her to responding when she clearly didn't feel comfortable talking about it. He had grown to love Violet almost as much as Scarlet, wanting to help her, take care of her, and treating her with the same affection as he gave Scarlet since the day, she confessed her feelings to him.
One phone call later and they were taking a short half hour trip back to Montenevera, where their home had been upgraded, him hiring a private security to protect their home, a bolt lock on both the doors, and even shatterproof glass that could withstand quite the punch from a Machoke. After everything, they took a moment to let Violet eat since she risked herself and hadn't eaten dinner.
However, when it was time for bed, Scarlet finally pulled Frederick into the bedroom with Violet following after, and soon began to feel extremely 'hot' and bothered from her heat reacting.
(Hmha... ready Freddy?) She asked as she quickly began pulling his clothes off so they could start.
"Scarlet, aren't you rushing things?" He asked as she shoved him onto the bed, but he knew better then to expect anything less, she always got this way when her heat was concerned.
(I don't know... if it's the heat or those herbs, but my body is on 'fire' Frederick...) She moaned lustily as she helped remove his undergarments and stared at his dick with a grin. (Hehehe... you always look so cute starting out little guy... but let's get you ready for the 'fun'.)
Scarlet looked over at Violet as she stood a little awkwardly nearby, and beckoned her to join her so they could begin. Remembering her lessons, she bent down and sat on her knees, and watched as Scarlet first began planting kisses on the tip of his dick, causing him to shudder in pleasure and excitement as Scarlet then began to lick it from base to tip, smirking as she used her tongue to expertly lick his shaft, very familiar with his musky scent on her nostrils.
His dick wasn't that big yet, but she knew that within a few minutes of her touches, it would stand near nine inches long at full length.
Smirking she looked at Violet who was captivated by the act, and breathing heavily as she watched them. (Alright Violet... your turn~!) She said as she gave one final, agonizingly long lick before pulling away and letting Violet try.
Violet shifted forward and took her first look at the male she has been thinking about for many months now. She was not unfamiliar with the tool of a male when it came to mating, but the fact that it was now in front of her, and she was going to finally mate with her human, was giving her a strange feeling in her heart. But she had to carry on with her task, she first put her lips to his dick and then kissed it.
Frederick moaned as Violet kissed his dick, slowly planting her soft lips on his ever-hardening member as Scarlet climbed onto the bed and smirked while pulling him into her own lips to kiss him.
(MHmmm enjoying the 'double team' darling~?) She asked as she pressed into his body, rubbing her chest on his and hugging him close to her.
"Mhmmah... oh Scarlet you are a 'tease'!" He whispered as he began kissing her again.
(Mmhmhm... oh yes... oh your lips taste amazing...) Scarlet moaned while Violet continued to kiss and lick his dick, doing as she trained to do for this moment.
Violet gazed as his dick slowly grew in length and hardness while she licked, before she gently kissed it one last time, before opening her mouth and doing the next thing Scarlet trained her to do, 'oral'. She told her that Frederick loved when she sucked on his dick before mating her, so she was going to do that for him.
She slowly wrapped her mouth around his dick, feeling it entering her maw and carefully doing everything to avoid scraping the skin of his dick with her teeth. Once she had fit as much as she could, she slowly began to pull it out, before just as slowly suck it back in. All the while her tongue licked and lathered every inch of his dick that it could touch. She could taste him inside of her, and though it was a weird taste to her mouth, she found it delicious as she continued to bob her head up and down, her mass of mane waving slightly in the air as she did.
Scarlet was enjoying the action as well, kissing her beloved the entire time and sitting beside him so that he could wrap his arms around her and play with her breasts, small as they were on a female Zoroark. She was essentially flat as a pancake, but she still moaned into his mouth while one of his hands played with her breast, rubbing the tiny mound and stroking her chest while his other arm aimed lower so his hand could play with her pussy, guided there by her hand as well.
Inside her pussy was leaking like an open fire hydrant, dripping with sex juices as she dry humped his hand, trying to stimulate herself until he was ready to mount her and give her the sex she's been waiting all day for.
"Mhmm oooh... fuck Violet... oh you're so good... when did you get so good?" He moaned as Scarlet giggled.
(She's a natural, isn't she? She learns well from me.)
"Oh, you trained her well... oh I love you girls..." He whispered as he resumed kissing Scarlet, causing her to moan into his mouth as their tongues danced and played with each other.
Violet didn't respond as she continued to bob her head up and down, going faster and faster as she heard him moaning in pleasure, following this 'instinct' to increase the pleasure level for her mate and do her very best to please him. At the same time, she used her paws to stroke and play with her own sex, stimulating it and getting it ready for the male in front of her.
After a moment she stopped going at her rapid pace and paused, just suckling and licking his dick instead. Then she remembered what she was supposed to do here, and began 'slow' bobbing up and down. Taking her time and enjoying the full length of his dick. She could feel the veins along his dick, her tongue tasted the tip and head, she could even feel this strange 'substance' that seemed to be leaking from his dick.
After taking a taste she found that, though it had a bitter taste, it was a flavor that she was fond of, so she closed her eyes and began swirling and licking his member to try and get more of it out. Lapping at the head of his dick feverishly as she became hotter and hotter with the passing of time. Her pussy was starting to get hot and wet, and she began desiring that Frederick take her and mate with her already.
"MHha... hah... please let me put it in already... oh fuck Scarlet I can't wait any longer, I want to cum so 'badly' inside of you!" He whispered desperately to his girlfriend.
Scarlet grinned as she nodded and told Violet it was time, Violet nodded and gently pulled off of Frederick's dick, looking as it stood proud and erect. She gave it one last kiss, hoping it blesses her with a pup, before she climbed up and Frederick pulled her onto the bed and laid her on it.
He then began kissing Violet, tasting her lips and deep kissing her mouth, their tongues dancing and sharing space inside of each other's mouth.
Despite her being a Zoroark as well, Violet's body was just ever so slightly different then Scarlet's. She had this exotic taste to her tongue, a strange ethereal quality tied to her ghost nature that seemed to send his taste buds in his mouth into a strange world. Scarlet's mouth had become extremely familiar to his tongue, and she always tasted of whatever food or berries she ate so that when they deep kissed, he always had a lovely taste leftover.
Violet's however, there was just no way to describe how she tasted other than... her tongue tasted both 'normal' to him, and almost tasted like a ghost. But her expression had most definitely changed since their first encounter, before she had this wild look, a feral look, but now her eyes were soft, her cheeks softer, her lips... gentle and loving as she lay with her arms and legs spread to entice him to take her.
Violet moaned in pleasure as he kissed and took advantage of her body, and though it was weird since she expected him to immediately take her there, she wasn't going to complain if it meant he prolonged the pleasure.
After a few moments, they separated and Frederick looked into Violet's yellow eyes as she stared at him with a hazed, lust filled look of desire.
"Ready Violet?" He asked.
Violet had no words to describe what she felt when he asked that... being asked 'permission'... when she was already offering him herself to mate with? It was... weird, but she nodded, telling him she was ready.
Permission granted he gently angled his dick to the entrance of her pussy, and after teasing it a little, causing her to gasp in pleasure as she was touched, he slowly began to slide in. She squinted in pain ever so slightly as he pushed in, before hilting and causing her to gasp in both pain 'and' pleasure, while Frederick felt himself breaking through a barrier inside of her.
Looking at this Scarlet took notice, and glanced to see a tiny streak of red leaving the entrance to her sex, surprising both of them that she was a virgin.
(You're... this is your first time?) She asked incredulously of the Hisuian Zoroark.
Violet panted slightly as she looked at her Unovan Zoroark counterpart and nodded. "Yes... he's... my first male..."
"But the herbs, you told us... the way you talked about them and said how they were used..." Frederick said, as she had talked about mating, children, breeding and especially the herbs after learning how they worked from watching her mother, they assumed that she...
"I... was 'Alpha'... I would never submit... to any male... who was not 'stronger' than me!" She told him quietly. "Many challenged me... tried to breed me... but they all too weak... I no submit back then to weakling, who could 'never'... but you... I give myself to... does it... displease you?"
Both him and Scarlet smiled and shook their heads, while Frederick leaned forward and gave her a sweet kiss which she reciprocated.
"No... it just amazes me that I'm the first guy to make love to a beautiful creature like you." He told her. "I'm going to start moving now alright?"
Violet nodded and watched as he slowly pulled out of her sex, his dick coated with her juices and the traces of her virginity before pushing back in.
"Ah... hah... ooooh... hah... ah..." She moaned each time he pushed in and out of her, going at a slow pace since this was her first experience.
Each time he pushed in she felt him rub against the entrance to her womb, feeling his entire length send shivers of pleasure through her body, the walls of her passage massaging and tightening their grip every time he tried to leave, and then expanding with each thrust inside.
She tried not to talk, tried not to interrupt him as he thrust in and out of her pussy, shifting her slightly each time because of how close they were. She could see the tiniest of bulges from where they were connected, the evidence of his dick claiming her pussy's first time inside of her. In and out, she watched him go at this slow pace, moaning and gasping with pleasure and enjoying every moment of it.
"Oh Arceus... oh Violet... you feel so good inside... oh you're so tight it feels... it feels good!" He whispered as he leaned forward and kissed her.
"Hmm... hamhm mhmm... aahmmm... mhmm..." She moaned blissfully, closing her eyes and enjoying the moment as Scarlet told her to.
Scarlet meanwhile was busy playing with her own body, gently rubbing her sex entrance and rubbing her breast while she watched Frederick slowly pick up his pace. She couldn't wait until it was her turn, but for now she just wanted Violet to enjoy the moment of having her first time with her new mate.
"Hmmmhah... hah... oh... oh Violet..." He whispered as he began to go faster with Violet, her sex seemingly tightening as she began panting heavily.
"Ah... hah... it... why... it feel... so good, why... oh... hah..." She panted, her mouth hanging open and begging he explain this question to her.
Then he stopped for a moment to kiss her again, and then slowly began pulling out before smashing into her pussy again with force.
"AH..."
He repeated the move by slowly pulling out, and then shoving back in.
"Aah..."
He did it again, and this time when he hilted, he shoved into her womb, sending a burst of pleasure that made her see stars.
"Aahh~…"
The pleasure coursing through her body was exciting, she just wanted him to go faster, go harder, push deeper and deeper into her. She just wanted to take all of him inside of her and fill her entire being with his 'goodness'. Slowly, reactively, she brought her arms up and wrapped them around his neck, then as he began thrusting harder into her, going at a much faster pace, she then raised her legs and wrapped them around his waist to lock him in place.
He lifted her closer to him and smiled with her, pushing harder and harder as she moaned and panted.
"Hah... oh... Arceus... Violet... oh you're wonderful... oh fuck... I'm... about to..." He whispered as he began ramming into her as hard as he could.
"AH... hah... aH... ah... oha... yes... ah... more... no... I enjoy... I like... don't end... I want to go on..." She pleaded, the pleasure pushing her body to levels she couldn't believe of feeling.
He however couldn't hold himself back, just the constant thought of having sex with these two beautiful girls today had been making him so horny at the back of his mind, then between her cute and adorable noises and how good she felt had pushed his dick over the edge as he felt his release about to hit. Within moments he began thrusting harder into her, not pulling out as he just shoved harder and harder into Violet's sex, making her gasp and scream in pleasure as she felt her release happening alongside his.
"I'm... I'm... aha... ahh... hahah... ahahahahah nnng!"
"Ahah ah... ahwo... ah ahg ghaaghahahah haaah!"
Violet screamed in pleasure as he hilted one final time and felt him erupt into her womb, coating her sex with his creamy essence and planting his seed inside of her body. She moaned as she felt the stars push down into her and he hugged her tightly to his body, trying to grab her close to him and pull her as tight against him as possible.
He slowly panted as he released her, and she panted as she glanced down at where they had once been connected, and saw a tiny trail of his seed leaving her body.
She prayed that none of his precious little ones escaped her, wanting to give him a pup from her body. The more she gave, the happier she'd feel she thought.
Scarlet, having patiently sat and waited, was undeniably horny as she pulled him into her arms and whispered, (Nice one lover boy... now it's my turn... take me~!)
She turned around and placed her claws against the wall while he gently wrapped his arms around her, slowly rubbing her pussy with his dick which grew harder. Scarlet smirked as he turned her head to kiss her on the lips, moaning in pleasure as their tongues play danced again in their mouths, even as his hands massaged and grappled her petite breasts again.
She angled her rump to allow him entry into her soaking sex which was burning her up from her heat. But as she felt him grab her waist with her hand, and she placed a claw on his hand to help him, she sighed in pleasure as she felt his dick slide right into her familiar and loving sex which happily twitched in excitement at the return of its significant other.
"Oh, you feel good Scarlet..." He whispered as she smiled and kissed him. "Oh you feel wonderful."
(Mhmhm... oh yes... ooooh yes... oh yea that feels good... yes... oh fuck yea~!) She said as he began thrusting in and out, not needing to go slow with her because of how many times they've done this. (Oh... fffuck... me... ooh yea... ohoo yea... hhhoooh yes... mmhmm yea right there... oh you're so thick!)
She smiled as she closed her eyes while he thrust in and out, pushing harder and harder into her and going at their favorite pace. Unlike Violet who seemed to enjoy the steady and slow pace, Scarlet enjoyed when he got rough from the start. Their sessions were fast and hard, but filled with just as much passion.
"Huff... fah... ahh... gha... you like that?" He asked as he rammed into her, pulling her with his thrusts so their bodies met in a rough rhythm, the sounds of their bodies slapping with each time he pumped into her sex.
(Oh yea... oh yes Fred, oh fuck yea... fuck me... harder... oh yea harder!) She screamed as her tongue hung out of her mouth.
He grabbed her shoulder with one hand and began thrusting harder like she asked, using the leverage to shove into her while he pulled her into another kiss.
Violet tiredly watched as Scarlet was pounded in sexual pleasure and blissful enjoyment while their mate began massaging her breasts again. She wondered why she was enjoying such treatment, as he seemed to be hurting her with how fast and hard he was going with her, but the look on her face only showed seductive enjoyment.
After a few moments Scarlet screamed in pleasure when he smacked her butt, then she moaned again as he did it again. Each time she flinched from the feeling of being pumped and slapped in her pleasure points.
(Ah... ah... Hah... Hah... Oh... yea... Fuck... Me... Harder... yea... oh yea... yes, yes... oh fuck me harder baby!)
Then after a few more times of this, she nodded and pulled away from him to turn around and wrap her arms around his neck, realigning herself before impaling her sex once more onto his dick for the final moments of their fun. This was her favorite position as he used his own strength to carry her entire body while pounding her sex, her cervix being battered and pounded while his dick tried to gain entry. She could feel every vein, every inch of his dick, and just how much he spread her walls no matter how many times they did this.
"Gha... hah... oh... fuck... shit... I'm coming... again... I can't hold it in... I'm about to come again!"
(Oh yea... oh fuck yea... give it to me, oh fucking give me it... fucking cum... inside me baby, oh yea... fuck... ah... ah... hahah ahahh ahahhh ahahahahhahhahahHAAAAA YEA!) She cried as he rammed into her, her legs flailing and then gripping him tightly as he came deep inside of her.
She could feel his gooey creamy essence, coating her walls inside and making her feel stuffed.
After a few more thrusts, she leaned in and kissed his lips happily, hoping today had been the day where she 'finally' got what she has been hoping for.
(You were wonderful...) She whispered as he pulled out of her, and they tiredly walked over to lie down on the bed. (You were wonderful... Frederick... my life mate.)
He nodded gratefully to her as they collapsed tiredly onto the bed. When they did, Violet slowly leaned over and lay herself next to him. Together both of them gave him a kiss on the cheek, smiling exhaustingly and nuzzling him to show their affection.
"I love you two, Scarlet... Violet." He whispered as he gave them both a kiss on their cheeks.
(We love you... Frederick.) Scarlet said.
"Yes... love you... Frederick." Violet told him.
Together, they all leaned into the bed and curled up to enjoy the nice warmth of their blanket.
(Five Weeks Later)
[Welcome back to Abby the Absol explains, 'Pokemon-Human Marriage Licenses'!] A cartoon Absol said on the TV with a notepad sitting on the side next to it. [Remember everyone, in Paldea, Pokemon and Humans, are permitted to seek a Marriage Certificate, signifying they are a married couple, elevating both a Human and Pokemon to equal levels! However, there are some rules to keep in mind, this video is to ensure Pokemon understand the rights and privileges they are gaining and losing, that's right, 'losing', by getting married to a Human!]
Violet watched the little cartoon creature with precious intent, not taking her eyes off of it and wanting to learn everything she needed to.
Five weeks had passed since Frederick mated her and Scarlet, and in that time, Violet had asked Frederick to get her a marriage license as well. This was going to be 'difficult' since, even though it wasn't outlawed, it wasn't exactly something commonly done in Paldea. Polygamous marriages in which multiple partners existed under the same marriage license was not often done.
However, thanks to some 'legal' wording, Frederick was able to get Violet's name added to the one their Lawyer was working on already for him and Scarlet. As such, the certificate would be signed and made legal... 'after' Violet passed a Marriage Certification test, which is what she was studying at that moment.
The basics were simple, if she got married, she would legally be her human's wife, or in this case, 'second' wife. But she was forbidden from getting involved in Official Pokemon Battles.
This didn't concern her, as she didn't really care or want to battle, however... Scarlet was another story, she 'wanted' to battle, she enjoyed it, but she had to wait until the battle permit was signed and approved which was a whole legal battle still going on for them while the Pokemon League reviewed their case.
[Remember Pokemon, no matter your species, while you are not married, you have several rights that are protected and vigorously protected by Paldea's rule of law. You are protected from humans and trainers that will or may potentially abuse you and your trust in humans in general. If a human is found to be abusing you, neglecting your treatment, treating you unfairly or 'anything' deemed inappropriate then they will be placed under arrest and you will be put up for adoption. You can request any League Official to look into your situation at any time, and an investigation will be carried out within as little as 'half a day'.]
Violet nodded as she listened and watched the footnotes fill out for her to memorize.
"Heh... you didn't need a video to tell you that, I could have told you that myself!" Scarlet giggled as she leaned over the couch to look at her.
Violet looked up at her as Scarlet smiled and stroked her belly, wearing an apron over her body as she was starting to cook for them all. Violet herself was being careful with how she sat because she too was carrying a pup inside of her.
Violet's knowledge of the herbs had been true, they had indeed improved their odds of getting them pregnant, in fact they had boosted their odds a bit more then intended because of how much Scarlet ate.
Since Scarlet had chowed down on almost 'three times' as many herbs as Violet had eaten when she returned from the Great Crater of Paldea, it had sent her reproductive organs into overdrive, and instead of just a 'single' pup being born... her belly was now carrying 'three' Zorua pups inside of her.
As for Violet, she had but a single pup to carry, but she was still happy all the same.
"So, how are you feeling today?"
"I... feel fine, how are you feeling?"
Scarlet shrugged and walked over to sit next to her, patting her shoulder gratefully. "You know, I never did thank you for the herbs... I've been trying so many years that... I was afraid I'd never have a pup with Frederick."
"I am... happy, to have helped." Violet replied, smiling as she patted Scarlet's shoulder in return.
Scarlet smirked as she got up and stretched to return to the kitchen. "So did you hear, according to Frederick, more of your kind are being found lurking around Paldea, turns out you 'aren't' going to be the last of your kind. Not just Zoroarks, but other species of Pokemon, researchers are going ballistic as this is a golden opportunity to learn about Pokemon from the past." She said. "How's it feel to have others like you around?"
Violet glanced down at her belly before smiling and getting up to join Scarlet. "It... no matter, I am happy with our mate... and I am happy to be here. But... it nice to know... others from my time are here now."
Scarlet nodded as she began setting the table.
Half an hour later Frederick finally walked through the door after a long day, and Scarlet walked over and pulled him into a loving kiss, before looking at him with a hopeful expression. "Did they approve?"
Frederick pulled out an envelope and read it out for her, before saying, "Request has been approved..." He told her.
"YESH! Ooooh I can't wait until these three rascals are bor-ooooh... you three sure know how to time your kicks with daddy's arrival!" She moaned as she paused to hold her belly with both claws, instantly being aided by Frederick. "Little ones sure know who daddy is and can't wait to see you."
She was helped into a chair while Violet too felt a little 'kick' from her own pup, feeling a warm bubbly sensation as she could tell that her pup knew its father was here as well. But unlike Scarlet, who was carrying three, her one didn't cause her as much suffering.
Frederick leaned down and gave his Scarlet a long and loving kiss while gently stroking her stomach, alongside Scarlet who nuzzled him lovingly while they stared at their pups inside of her.
"Wow, I can feel them kicking in there... they sure are lively inside their mother."
"Yea... but I can't wait until they come out... oh I miss you in more ways than one dear, staying home all-day sucks when you can't battle on the weekends even to train!"
Violet nodded as Scarlet was absolutely bored out of her mind when she couldn't even practice battling with her for sport. Violet however, walked over and nuzzled Frederick to get his attention.
"Can you... feel my pup too?" She asked warmly. "It happy you home too... it too want to meet you!"
Frederick nodded as he held Violet close and gently stroked her belly, not as big as Scarlet's but she too felt as his hand rubbed against it, and flinched ever so slightly as her pup gave a kick, as if sensing the human's hand upon its mother's belly, inches away from where it lay, waiting to be born.
"Got a little athlete in there, he probably takes after you!"
She didn't know about that, but she did know, as the three of them took a moment to share in the happy feeling of their family getting ready to expand, she just nuzzled her human's cheek alongside Scarlet. Both of their manes looking very similar to one another.
Violet had no feelings of bitterness, resentment, hatred or anger toward the world and those in it... and because of that... her mane... had lost the fiery deathly feel and look it once had. Though she still was dark grey with purple and white, looking no different than before... her mane had lost the cruelty it once displayed to the world around it.
She couldn't feel any happier than she was right now...

This was supposed to be a 20k long chapter... how did it end up 32k words long?
On that note I'm trying to decide between going back to Hisui to do a Sneasler Lemon, or stay in Paldea for an Espathra...
