Author's Notes: Hey everyone sorry it has been so long since I updated the story. I was working on my other stories and started school and a new job. But here I am and I hope I can make it up to you all.

For the rest of the day Sansa could not get what Varys had said out of her mind. What had he meant when he said Lord Baelish had been of aid to the Lannisters after King Robert's death? Honestly those days had been mostly a bluer to her. There had been the stunning news of the king's death, then Father telling them he was sending Ayra and her away, her going to the Queen. A wave of guilt and shame rushed through her at the memory but she squashed it and kept thinking.

Then it hit her shortly before everything had happened she remembered hearing Father telling the man who had replaced Jory Cassel as captain of his guards, she could not remember the man's name, that Lord Baelish had promised to help with what was to come. But he hadn't, had he? No he had not and Father had been seized and killed and Lord Baellish's star had risen ever since and now he stood to become master of the Vale. That was not the reward one received for standing back and watching two powers for control of a kingdom; that was the reward of one who had aided the winning side greatly. Her father had trusted him and that trust had been rewarded with betrayal.

Hate flared up in her. She wanted to kill the man, Father had trusted him and he had betrayed him! Just like you did. The voice told her. She thrust that thought aside and forced her boiling emotions to calm down. This would be different than the others. Lord Baelish was clever, everyone said so. He and Lord Varys hated one another but Varys, for all his cunning had not been able to destroy him. A chill ran through her, if Baelish was as clever as Varys might not he too come to suspect what she was doing? She tried not to think about it, she had enough worries as it was without dealing in maybes.

Of more immediate concern was the fact that he was definitely much clever than she was. The schemes and plans that she had used in the past would be worthless, he would see right through them before she could get anywhere near him. He was sure to be on guard, she was certain that she was not the first to try to kill him; Varys doubtless had in the past. She tried to think of Baelish as a structure and tried to see what his weak points were but she could not. The man did not appear to have any noticeable weaknesses or vices save for his love of intrigue. He did not eat or drink over much, he liked money but was not obsessed with it. They say he did not even use the women in the brothel he owned. In fact, the only woman he had looked at like that…was her.

Her thoughts came up short at that thought. Ridiculous! Impossible! But the more she thought about it the more it made sense. She remembered when as a child, she had asked Mother if she had ever been in love before she met Father. Mother had smiled and said someone had been in love with her. She had then told of how once a boy had fought a duel for her and lost. That man had been Lord Baelish. With that memory came other, more recent ones. Lord Baelish looking at her in a strange way and saying she looked just like her mother and the way he sometimes stood slightly closer to her than was usual.

Gods above! She thought; He sees me as a younger version of Mother!

The thought sickened her and she felt bile rising in her stomach. She forced herself to be calm and think how she could use this. For whatever reason he saw her like that, or close enough that it made no matter. That made her his weakness and so did another thing. He thought that he knew what her desire was, to go home. She would use those to facts to her advantage. The Queen had said that a woman's weapon was her smile she would use hers. She would be the little bird the Hound had said she was. She would sing a sweet song and lure in a mockingbird. Then she would reveal that she was not a little bird anymore.
