Author's Notes: Hey everyone, sorry that it had taken me so long to update, hopefully you will like it.
Sans decided to take the prince's advice and refrain from any further action for the time being, just as well really. Due to the uproar over Baelish's death everyone was alert and she doubted that anything that she did would go unnoticed anyway. Nor was she the only one whose plans had been disrupted by the death.
The Royal Wedding had been placed on hold and her husband Tyrion had been recalled from his mission to the Iron Bank of Braavos. Also, the guard had been increased around the King and many of his councilors. While Sansa did not fear death per se she did not want to die in a futile effort, so for the time she decided to do nothing. However things that she had not planned on began to happen shortly after the Prince's visit.
A few days after Oberyn's visit she received an invitation from Margaery to take tea with her grandmother, Sansa had not seen the Tyrell matriarch since before the news of her family's fate had reached her. At the appointed time she went to the garden pavilion where she had first met the Tyrell women. Margaery was there as was her grandmother, Olenna Tyrell. The old woman looked at Sansa with her dark shrewd eyes and there was something that seemed to be appraising Sansa. As Sansa curtsied to her Margaery rose and embraced her.
"It is so god to see you, I am so sorry for your lose. I know how close Lord Baelish was to your family." Sansa, as was expected of her, nodded her head.
"You are too kind." She replied simply, not trusting herself to say anything more.
"Indeed," Lady Olenna interjected; "And to such violence. Night falls for all of us in the end, and too soon for some, indeed it seems that night is coming early for a great many people is seems. The Grand Maester, Lord Baelish and from what we have heard of the Twins it seems night is coming even as far north as the Riverlands." As she spoke her stare seemed to grow more and more intense and Sansa had to fight to maintain that gaze. Unexpectedly Lady Olenna changed the subject, she turned toMargaery and began to speak. "Margaery, go speak to the rest of my hens for a while, Lady Sansa and I have something to discuss." Margaery, rose, bowed and left.
Lady Olenna waited till it was certain that Margaery was out of hearing and then she turned the full force of her expression onto Sansa. "Well, aren't you full of surprises? You are far more interesting than I first thought." Sansa forced herself to remain calm.
"I don't kn…" She began when Lady Olenna shushed her with a sound of impatience.
"Oh stop it girl, I am not nearly so foolish as my fat fool of a son and the rest of people of this city. I know exactly what you did. I will not lie and say I cared for Lord Bealish, an oily little man if there ever was one, but he did have his uses and now his death has put things in a bind."
"What plans?" Sansa asked, feeling both confused and that her head was spinning so fast it would fall off.
"Plans for the good of my family and the realm." Lady Olenna said simply; "I can speak truthfully to you, I have no intention of letting my granddaughter marry that beast Joffery, but the marriage must go through."
"Then how…"
"Well child, there is being married and staying married." She then leaned in close to Sansa and began to explain.
Author's Notes: Hey everyone. A bit short I know but this was just a set up chapter, still working out what will happen in the next but it will have action and be longer. Till then please pray for the African girls, the trapped Turkish miners, the Americans held abroad, victims of human trafficking and all who are sick and all who need pray. Ye and may Jesus bless you.
