Author's Notes: Hey everyone, sorry that it has taken me so long to update, I hope you like it.

Time seemed to crawl for Sansa. Her talk with Lady Tyrell had certainly been informative, she would never have thought Lady Olenna could be capable of such a thing but then a year ago she would not have been capable of anything like this either. She had to admit that the plan had been a good one, have Lord Baelish give her a necklace which contained a poison known as the Strangler in crystalline form hidden among the jewels, when the opportunity presented itself Lady Olenna would have taken it from Sansa and added it to Joffery's wine. It almost made Sansa sad that she had killed Baelish, not that she regretted the deed but she found she wanted Joffery dead more.

Sansa had asked why they could not still go through with the plan but Lady Olenna said that it was too risky, apparently Lord Baelish had been planning to smuggle her out of King's Landing but obviously that would no longer work. With her having a necklace that she had never seen before suspicion would automatically fall on her. Neither could she say that she had been given the necklace; her husband would deny that it had been him who had given it to her and the only other person who would have given it to her was Margaery, which would have cast suspicion on her and Lady Olenna had made it clear that she was not to be involved in any way.

"Really girl," Lady Olenna had said at the end of their conversation; "You really do have a very inconvenient sense of timing. Now we will have to think of something else. Well, it cannot be helped and really, I have a feeling that you may have saved us a good deal of trouble later on. Never trust a man Sansa, especially one who wants more than purse full of dragons and a woman in his bed."

After that Sansa and Lady Olenna had met several times since that first conversation but they had not able to come up with a suitable replacement plan which would not cause suspicion to fall on either Sansa or members of the Tyrell family, neither of which was acceptable. Sansa had told Lady Olenna that she was did not really mind dying if it got Joffery but Lady Olenna would hear none of that.

"Gods girl! You sound as stupid my grandson! Trust me death will come for you soon enough, no need to rush to it! Besides, there is life after vengeance, you may not marry Loras but that is no reason that our association has to end."

So for now, Sansa had to wait till a new plan was developed. In the meantime there was news aplenty to keep her occupied. From the Riverlands she heard that her uncle had been besieged in Riverrun by the Frey and their allies but had managed to escape with a sizable force and was staging hit and run raids against them. Further North Umber was also continuing to wage war against the Boltons with all who would follow him, there were even rumors that he might throw in his lot with Stannis, though no one was sure if this was true or not. Sansa did not know if this was true or not neither did she really care, the Iron Throne could melt for all she cared but she was glad to hear that they were still alive, free and causing trouble for the Frey and Boltons.

In the meantime things were happening in King's Landing, her husband Tyrion had returned from Braavos. He immediately reported to the Small Council, the meeting obviously did not go well and he returned to their quarters tired and irritable. She had little love for any Lannister but he had been kind to her and protected her when no other member of the Court would so she felt compelled to do what to comfort him. She had Shae bring him wine while she heated a basin of water and placed several cloths in it. When the water was warm enough she brought it and placed one on his forehead, he looked surprised and then managed a small, tired smile.

"Are you unwell my lord?" She asked him.

"Tyrion, please," he asked her; "And no, I am not ill, just tired. The meeting did not go well, the Iron Bank refuses to budge and are pressing for payment. And naturally His Grace blamed me for that at the meeting."

"His Grace was at the meeting?" Sansa was under the impression that Joffery never attended Small Council meetings.

"I believe that it was my father's idea to have him start attending, though personally I do not think his being there was any improvement over his absence. If anything it made things worse. I fear I may have said some things that perhaps would have been better if I had not said them, even if he did need to hear them." She could see that he was becoming angry again and she tried to defuse it.

"I have never been to Braavos, is it as grand as people say?"

"It was unusual I will admit," he said; "Built on a number islands and full of strange temples and peoples from all over of the world." As he spoke the anger left his voice as he calmed. After a moment he turned to look at her, "Would you like to see it someday?" For a moment she just stared at him, while she held no hatred for him she was not at all sure she wanted to do anything that could result in her getting close to him but she did not want to say that aloud.

The silence was broken by a pounding on the door, as all their heads turned towards the sound the pounding came again and an authoritative voice came through the door.

"Open the door in the name of the King!" At a signal from Tyrion Shae went to the door and opened it, or tried to. As soon as she started to open the door it was forced open and she was shoved to the side. In strode Sir Boros Blount and Sir Meryn Trant accompanied by half a dozen Gold Cloaks. Tyrion jumped to feet, his face thunderous.

"What the meaning of this!" He demanded angrily. Sir Meryn Trant looked at him and sneered.

"This doesn't concern you, Imp!" He turned toward Sansa and grinned in a way that made her skin crawl. He then turned back to Tyrion. "His Grace was offended by your tone at the Council Imp, he decided you require a lesson on how to behave towards your king."

"So he sent you to beat me, how original." Tyrion said sardonically with a roll of his eyes. Sir Trant's grin turned into a full smile, though just as unnerving.

"Oh you will learn a lesson little man but not that one. His Grace wishes to see your wife in his private chambers." He and Sir Blount seized her by both arms. Tyrion tried to intervene but the other soldiers interposed themselves and held him back as Sansa was dragged from the room.
