"And if I don't...?" Jaune asked with a very serious tone, but Adam looked at him like he was a little child.
"C'mon now. I am not trying to kill you or trick you; I am really serious; we can get home and be with our loved ones."
"You are joining a terrorist organization with multiple goals which we both agree are generally evil, just to get home?"
Adam narrowed his eyes, "and is there something wrong about that?"
"Adam…" Jaune looked back at him which is basically considered as a lost brother, "you really want to go back to Remnant?"
"Was I not serious enough to give it away?"
"No… wait. That is not what I meant." Jaune now looked concerned, "you really want to go back to that life?"
"I am a changed man, Jaune."
Jaune looked at Adam and saw that he looked really serious; going back to Remnant, back to his first life.
"Adam… do you consider this world, a 'second life'?"
Adam scoffed, "I don't get your reaction, like you said, humans are victims in this world, basically this world is worse than ours hundred times over! The Schnees looks like regular businessmen compared to the greediness of devils, vampires, and the quote and quote heroes of this world! Don't you just want to go home?!"
"This is my home, Adam!" Jaune announced, "just like Remnant! Earth is my home too!"
Adam just looked at Jaune like he has grown a second head, then he began to circle him, inspecting him like a mystery.
"You are… content?" Adam asks with horrified curiosity, "you love? This shithole?"
"Adam, maybe you died too young to understand. But life happens when you make it. Earth is not bad if you don't make it so."
"But what about our families back at Remnant?!" Adam yelled, "don't you want to see them again?"
Jaune briefly saw the faces of his families and friends…
"That is a lifetime ago…"
Adam stopped walking, "you… are treating this like a second life, a second round in life?"
"Ahh… yes? Adam. We both died and reborn. Of course, I am going to treat this like a second life."
"Ah ah ah. But this world has proven that reincarnation and afterlife is not a state, but basically a place." Adam reasoned, "go to hell, heaven, the underworld or even Valhalla, this world has proven that we can go back to the place where we once lived. WE CAN GO BACK TO REMNANT JAUNE! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!"
Jaune looked alarmed and confused as Adam began to be agitated; slowing getting to a stance he asked, "Adam, why are you so obsessed in going back?"
Adam looked away.
"Is it Blake?"
He didn't flinch.
"The Fang?"
He looked at him without any look of confirmation.
Now it was Jaune's turn to look at Adam like a mystery. Why go through lengths to go back their old world if he is not racist, obsessed with Blake or the Fang.
"What do you want Adam?"
Adam now looked at him with fire in his eyes,
"Peace.", Adam walked towards Jaune, "Ghira once preached a world where Humans and Faunus will be united under one banner. A world without racism. That was a world I fought for, Jaune." Then regret came to his eyes, "until I lost patience, allowed my desires get in the way of the true goal… after fighting a military prided to be the best, I got egoistic. After being the lover of basically the daughter of the Prime Minister of the Faunus, I got selfish, and being adored like an idol didn't help that."
"I lost what I really wanted because of my youthful short-sightedness." He pointed his chest, "I KILLED HUNDREDS BECAUSE OF MY PATHETIC EGO!"
"And now, after learning that Remnant finally achieved what Ghira preached about Unity. I wished to see it. To lived it. And this world taught me that dying is just a method of teleporting to another realm. Gods, Devils, and Jesus has done it. So, I can do the same." Adam finished.
"That statement sounds like it is driven by Ego too, Adam. That is a power only belonging to gods."
"And what did your church preach in your Bible. At the end of the day, there will be the resurrection of the dead. The return to your, their original home, the Garden of Eden. Death is a misconception."
"Adam, you are now spitting confusing non-sense." Jaune yelled, but his eyes soften, "but I do see the regret in your eyes; I felt that too." He closed his eyes.
Then he opened them with fire, "but life is not like that. You underestimate the value of life, brother. You treat death like a portal where in fact it is the end of your story; the end of a chapter." Jaune finally unsheathed his sword, "I suggest you value your second life more, Adam" images of his new family, of Jeanne and Lint appeared, "you realize that turning back on it will be turning back on your new loved ones."
Adam's eyes got cold, like that of a cold killer…
… and Jaune matched it with his own.
Cold blue eyes stared at one another…
"And with that, I have to capture you to make sure you learn to value your new life." Jaune announced
"So be it." Adam declared.
FLOOM!
One moment Adam stood afar, the next he was a foot away from Jaune, sword unleashed with fire coating it.
He aimed for Jaune's neck.
Dong!
Jaune's new shield activated with a flurry of sparts as the katana ground against it, but the force was so strong, it pushed back the Huntsman.
But he remained standing.
"HA!"
Jaune pushed Adam away with a mighty heave. His opponent flew through the air with grace then landed and slide through the ground to burn momentum. In the night sky a flaming katana illuminated the battlefield as Jaune saw fog breathe out of Adam's mouth.
FWOOM!
Adam burst straight at Jaune once more like a comet. Adam slashed wide but strong and swift strikes at his target. Jaune blocked the attacks with his new shield, but he felt the power behind his strike rattling his bones, however the trail of fire from the katana fell to an obvious and predictable pattern.
Jaune parried a strike with his shield, sparks flew, leaving Adam wide open as Jaune thrusted his sword at Adam's body! But Adam used the momentum of the parry to twist on his heel as he dodges Jaune's blade, and delivered a powerful horizontal slash to Jaune's neck!
Jaune dropped a knee as the flaming katana nicked his hair, then shoulder bashed Adam's stomach! Jaune dropped his sword and deactivated his shield as he proceeded to bear hug Adam, and performed a body slam.
The full weight and strength of a full muscled man slammed Adam to the ground, breaking the soil and taking the air out of Adam. Then Adam smacks his pummel to Jaune's temple as a white flash shone.
Bam!
Adam felt his face slammed to the dirt as a fist socked him at the jaw! Followed by another! And Another!
Adam breathed in, despite the pain, and focused his power to his legs!
THUNDER!
A crack of lighting roared from the ground as two figures were launched high into the air. One was Adam as he gracefully glided with his katana sheathed, and the second was Jaune who was rag dolled into the air.
Air race through his hair as his eyes blurred from the flash of lightning. Soon, his vision clear. And the ground come closer and closer to his eyes.
Clank!
Jaune activated his shield with a furry of sparks and LANDED on the ground hard, before bouncing off it, and landing to the soil again.
THUNDER!
Memories of sparring with Nora surface in a blink and yelled at him to dodge! Jaune push upped from the ground as a Katana slice a bit of his fabric.
On his feet, he saw Adam in a runner's stance with his blade sheathed and electricity dancing on his skin!
THUNDER!
The Shielder held his ground with his shield as the Samurai dashed at him.
Katana met Shield.
The strike felt weak, so weak that Adam knew he can't break Jaune defense… however
"GRRRRR!"
The lightning conducted on Jaune's metal shield.
"GRRRR HA!" Jaune placed all his might on his nerves and aura to counter against the electricity shock, but he was facing a counter against Hunters. A Taser.
Not like he fought it before. Jaune fell on his knees in pain and dropped his guard. Adam, understanding the weakness of Aura looked at his brother with pity and guilt, as he looked at the stunned and down form of a Hunter.
"Sorry Jaune, next time we-"
Adam couldn't finish that sentence as Jaune dived and punched Adam in the face!
Jaune wanted to grapple Adam, but Adam hooked him, then body shot his liver and shot a hook kick!
Jaune blocked the kick with a boxer's block; he felt the force rattle his bones as red and white aura flashed for a moment! Then he grabbed hold of the offending leg and hammered fist Adam's knee!
"AHHHH!"
Adam yelled in pain! Even though his aura is still intact, the brute strength of Jaune twisted his joints in the wrong angles.
With a burst of aura, a red force expelled Jaune far from him, as Jaune rolled and got on his feet again.
Jaune saw Adam limp on one leg; kicking his pained one to test it.
Taking the opportunity, Jaune burst his aura as he sped like a comet! Plenty of his reserves were burnt for such dash, but Jaune has to end this now!
Silver sword high and infused with white aura slammed down on Adam with the intent to kill!
Adam unleashed his blade and parried the blow, but instead of a loud bang which Jaune expected, water appeared around Adam's Katana as he used Jaune's force to spin, and slash back at Jaune!
Jaune back-step, but Adam twisted on his good leg and slashed again! Each turn increasing his speed and the power of the strick!
Jaune activated his shield as the next strike came too close for comfort. Sparks flew, but the force only stayed for a moment as Adam twisted again with a water trail to hit harder!
Then before his eyes, the water trail grew longer as it formed into that of a dragon!
Adam twisted and swung with all his weight and whole body as his blade and dragon slammed against that bronze mecha shield!
Jaune was pushed back! Even though still standing, his feet dragged against the dirt, forming groves and his white aura lighting on his soles. The force was more then enough to pop a person's shoulder if it wasn't for Jaune strong shoulders, but he now know that he is fighting an endurance battle…
… and he is losing.
Risking it, Jaune let go of one hand to hold his shield, and took something from his jacket, and threw it at Adam!
Adam saw the offending object and reacted with lightning as his blade and water sliced a blurred object!
FLASH!
The dark forest lit up and turned into day for a second as Adam's eyes burned like hell, but his world dulled as he felt a power upper-cut on his chin!
Adam flipped backwards on the air and landed harshly! Then felt an elbow slammed on his rib!
Crack!
Some ribs broke as Jaune began his power punches to Adam's face!
Adam blocked the next one with his sword, the edge meeting Jaune's fist as aura ground. Jaune felt cold steel trying to bite his knuckles, then his entire face stung and his brain rattle as Adam palm strikes his face.
Jaune was on the air for a moment and felt the cold ground on his back! He saw a flash of a red blade in a moment just in time to activate his shield!
Bronze steel blocked red as Adam's Katana slide into the dirt. Adam was now on top of Jaune, ready to stab him again, but Jaune slammed his fist into Adam's jaw! Jaune wrestled for dominance and Adam wrestled back, as the two fought for dominance on the ground. Adam grabbed Jaune throat and squeezed it, but white aura responded to his action as Jaune gave him another knuckle sandwich, then Adam punched him back.
Both natives of Remnant began a slug feast on the ground as white and red aura shone… even though none of them received any bruise or nicks because of their aura, their brains still felt each impact.
Adam shot a fist at Jaune, and Jaune headbutted it, but Adam used that to chop Jaune on the top of his head with a glowing hand.
BAM!
What? Jaune thought as the chop made him dizzier, as he almost lost his strength to hold his grip on Adam and the world blurred.
The he felt the cold ground.
He still felt very dizzy, as he saw a very tired Adam stand up and look at him with some pity.
"This world has Ki techniques, you know." Jaune heard Adam's voice in a hazy state, "looks like my emotions got the better of me again. Sorry for that small fight, brother. Let's hope we never meet again."
Jaune saw Adam walk away as his figure merged with the forest and disappeared.
Damn I want to pass out.
Jaune laid there on the ground, in a hazy state as his mind fogged, but refused to lose conscience. He stayed like that for the entire night.

It took some time, but the rest found his jittering body on the ground in pain, and he doesn't know which he prefers. Being saved or left there.
"What the hell were you thinking!"
"Unbelievable! You were the one who constantly nag about being careful! And now you go to obvi-"
The two most prominent women of Jaune's second life, Jeanne and Lint nagged at him as he sat on his hotel bed with some packed ice on his head.
"What was your goal Jaune?!" Jeanne yelled, "do you know that Samurai?"
"No." Jaune lied, to Jeanne, but from a look from Lint told him that she thinks its bs.
"And why were you there?!"
"… just to figure out what they are doing?"
"And you found out what it is about?!"
"Actually…" Jaune looked at them with some alarm, "I did."
And Jaune told them, about this terrorist organization and the many, many groups involved and their leader.
"I see, this is a problem… but that answers many of my questions." Lavinia said as she nearby, "we should tell our leaders about this, and this does make this harder to pinpoint."
"Also that fact Jaune didn't tell us specific groups." Jeanne commented, "we can't just barge into the Vampire Faction and accuse them of terrorism.
"That is why I think we should focus on the problem in front of us." Jaune spoke, "we can deal the immediate concern first before anything else."
Jaune then stood with purpose but faltered as his head still spinning. Jeanne held her brother up with concern. And Jaune smiled with gratefulness.
It was a reminder that this world is worth fighting for. But Jaune felt pity…
So Adam doesn't have a family here?

Yes, Adam has Demon Slayer breathing styles, because the Corps does exist in this story. I got this Idea from Multiplayer:DxD, and honestly I think with a few adjustments, Demon Slayer can work in DxD, only ramped up with the elements and the Blood magic.
