A little girl always wondered what snow is like. And now she decided that it is scary! A blizzard stormed at her home villages as she saw tigers and boars roaring in pain! Freezing into ice before an asura burst through them and shatter all of them!
She heard of the Asura in one from one of the stories of the local monks, but never in her life she would have thought that one truly exists! All she can do is smile as the powerful snow touched her skin but never hurt her and her family, but froze all of the monsters she was always afraid of into ice.
While this thing was going on, Siegfried felt gratitude towards Lavinia. An attack of this scale would require him to summon the power of his Demonic Sword and cut his lifespan, again. But with the power of Absolute Demise, all he has to do is use sheer brute force to skill all of the ware-boars and ware-tigers of the ASEAN.
But if the attack has already been initiated, it means his family is now fighting at the enemies' HQ.
Sieg gave one worried look at the gigantic wall of ice and the mountain beyond: normally, Jaune's skill (and now confirmed experience) will ease his worries, but with Incarnate Anthem and Adam?
Worry became more familiar with him.

The place was damp, humid, and dark. This is fitting because the ruins truly feel like a cave, only lit by multiple torches of purple flames. Two figures once again stood away with an orb of magical energy. Across the room are two young ladies, one holding a sword of Holiness, the other holding a Norse claymore of curses.
"Nice to meet you again, Sister Jeanne." The vampire lord greeted the Arc, "I have you know that your participation in the research had made extreme progress in our endeavor."
Fear struck at Jeanne's heart at the sad reality, and it only spiked when the lord held his hand into one of the torches, "see here? These very flames are from the Longinus, Incarnation Anthem!"
His voice echoed as bloodlust shined in his eyes!
CRACK!
Pillars of sharp, demonic ice erupted on the ground he was standing on, but he and his queen jumped with reflection and avoided it.
"What are you planning then?!" Lint asked as she pulled out Dainsleif out of the frozen ground.
"Oh, want to hear my evil plan?" the vampire lord laughed, "what? You think I am some James Bond Villain?!" He, with a shadowing power, burst through the room as the very pavement cracked.
His sharp claws ground against the floor as sparks flew to intimidate the ladies of the church. Within a blink, he is on Jeanne's face…
…CLANG!
Jeanne parried it with speed and precision like never before!
If Jaune, my entire family can be that fast!
She remembers her brother's true speed and the fact that he is the tank. She pulled back her silver rapier…
…then I will prove that I am also an ARC!
STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB
And thrust her sword a dozen times at her target!
The vampire lord backstepped and see his wounds.
"Shallow…" he chuckled, "you have to be better than that." He smiled but stumbled with the rest as the entire ground shook!
"What the –" he didn't get to finish as Jeanne burst straight at him with silver swords sprouting everywhere and began to attack him, "Oh you want to dance. Let's do ballet then!"
Jeanne and the vampire lord began their dance as Lint swung her sword with precision and power at the Vampire Queen.
"Oh? A demonic sword?" The queen smiled, "Let's see if you can keep up with it."
Then the ground shook again, momentarily interrupting everyone's rhythm.

[Jaune Arc: 78%}
Jaune slammed to the ground as Adam Judo threw him, but he push-up from the ground just as Adam's sword pierced the floor.
While still pulling his sword, Adam's face was bashed by the face of Jaune's shield! He flew in the air with his sword for a moment and blocked a powerful strike from a silver sword.
Both hunters stood on the ground, taking a small breather.
"I have to ask…" Jaune said calmly, "do you not have a family here?"
Adam replied with a sound of concentrated inhale, as he burst forward with a splash of water by his feet. He then turned his entire body with a swing of a blade as Jaune blocked it.
The strike didn't feel too powerful, but Adam turned again as his second strike brought more power, then the next and the next increased power.
Jaune stood his ground with his shield as his opponent became a living blender, his shield ringing constantly! Then Jaune heard another concentrated breathing!
"Turbulent!" Adam yelled as he turned into a waterspout! Jaune was pushed back as the water truly felt like a force of nature. But he held his guard.
The water dissipated and found Adam with his katana held back for a thrust!
"Waterdrop Trust!" He yelled as he made a single thrust…
…droplet ripple appeared around Jaune's shield and body.
"Ahhh!" Jaune backstepped as his entire body especially his legs flicked white as his aura took the damage of dozen quick thrusts!
It hurt like hell, especially since they were too fast to brace…

But that just showed that a fast attack lacked force.
Adam went for another thrust!
Pong!
But Jaune parried the attack with a burst of sparks, Adam was stunned for a moment as the rim of Jaune shield slammed into his ribs!
Adam was pushed back but stopped himself by digging his sword into the ground.
"Dammit, you are a mountain, Jaune Arc. No Tsunami can drown you." Adam spoke in Japanese.
"So that is the theme of your Ki attacks? Water, Fire, and Lightning?" Jaune replied in English.
"Yeah, thought it was obvious."
"… where did you learn it from?"
"From my master…"
Jaune then calmed his breathing, "Adam, you didn't answer my question."
"What? What are you planning to do for the 'talking your enemy' trope?" Adam chuckled, "that only works in manga and anime."
"Well, it worked with Emerald and Neo."
"Those are familiar names, but I can picture the faces."
"I didn't expect you to read the manga."
"I have a life too, Jaune Arc."
"So that means you have a family too!"
The tension in the air vanished as Jaune laid out the truth, "your rank, skill, and knowledge of manga suggest that you are highly respected among the Demon Slayers."
Adam didn't say anything, "I did some digging about our oriental counterparts. The Demon Slayers are one big family, only answering to the orders of Lady Yasaka; who is motherly to all. Including Vatican delegates."
Adam smiled, but not a mocking one but one of fondness, "Lady Yasaka…" he whispered, then he frowned. But not of annoyance, but rather a combination of frustration and worry.
"Let's not talk about home matters, Jaune Arc." He pointed his katana at Jaune.
"Why not? You are fighting to-"
THUNDER!
Adam turned into lightning! Jaune jumped to the side as he barely missed the attack, then Adam suddenly turned and ran around him and encircling with lightning speed!
Jaune only saw the blurred silhouette of his opponent, as arcs of electricity charged and shocked him.
"Ow! Fuck! Enough!"
Jaune expanded his shield and infused it with aura and slammed it to the ground!
The floor exploded. Adam lost his balance and stumbled. He jumped as Jaune slammed his sword where Adam was standing.
"YOU WANTED TO GO BACK TO REMNANT! EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE A FAMILY!"
"I SAID DON'T TALK ABOUT THEM!"
THUNDER!
Adam once again burst into lightning, but Jaune was not fast enough to react as Ki electricity slammed into him and a katana sliced through his aura!
Jaune grabbed Adam's arm and hip and threw him to the ground! Adam reacted accordingly and rolled with the throw and stood on his feet afterward.
Jaune took a peek at his phone.
[Jaune Arc: 55%]
"This is going to be a long fight."

Sparks flew as Jeanne continuously threw her barrage of rapier strikes at the vampire lord. Her opponent would try to dodge and block, but it has minimal effect as Jeanne was stupidly fast for him to keep up.
But he kept his smirk.
"Weak! Shallow!" The vampire continued to mock and play with Jeanne's advances. Above with was the vampire queen fight Lint as she dodges Dainsleif with grace as Lint became more frustrated.
"I think we had enough fun," the queen mocked, "now die!"
Multiple magic circles appeared behind her, brimmed with energy! Lint charged her demonic sword and thrust.
BBRRRRVVVVBBBRR!
A powerful beam of Nordic frost shot out from the demonic sword! The queen fired back with her demonic spells! The entire ruin lit up as negative energy clashed! For a moment that is. Immediately with a small command and a week from her lifespan, Dainsleif shot out more potent frost and pushed the queen back.
All the Vampire Queen could do was scream in shock as Nordic frost consumed her spells and her body!
The vampire lord looked up at his queen's cries. Jeanne shot forward, and threw two slashes at his torso, deeper than any of her hits before!
"So, you finally get to hit me?" the vampire smiled, "just to show tha-" he didn't finish his sentence as he vomited blood.
After standing and taking a breather, he suddenly felt a different kind of pain in his body, like he is sick.
Looking down at his body, he is covered with shallow cuts, but all of them look rotten as his skin is covered with rotting tissue. The first set of wounds, now bursting with pus.
"Wha..wha… What is happening to me?!" he scream in panic as his body looked more like a zombie than a vampire.
"Silver." Jeanne merely answered as she flickered her sword, "A natural enemy to all things unnatural, which includes vampires."
The vampire could only stare with insanity, "WHAT IMPOSSIBLE! THAT IS NOTHING BUT A MYTH! THE CHURCH HAD NEVER USED SILVER IN CENTURIES! SILVER HAS NO EFFECT ON US!"
"Damn, didn't know vampire pride is that high," Lint commented as she stood beside Jeanne.
"We can give you an antidote." Jeanne offered, "but first tell us; what are you planning to do with the results of the experiment?"
The vampire wheezed with a crazed look, "THE VAMPIRE FACTIONS IS PLANNING TO ATTACK! WE HAVE A TOOL THAT CAN MODIFY OUR BODIES, BUT THE TOOL IS IMPERFECT WHICH IS WHY WE NEED EXPERIMENTS ON HOLY ENERGY SO THAT WE WOULD HEAVILY RELY ON THE TOOL. WE ARE THE KHOA BRIGADE AND-"
The vampire slipped out everything his rank knows within the organization… soon his lower body now looks like a true corpse.
"Now that antidote!" he screamed.
"Wait! Where is the wielder of Incarnation Anthem?!" Lint just remembered the other threat…"
"She is.." then the entire plane got hot! But all of the heat was coming from a different room.

In a dark room, the arc of flames lit the space as a red bull chased and attacked a blonde hunter. Sparks flew as Jaune parried the flaming katana with his silver sword in rapid succession. Adam's strikes were faster than bullets forcing Jaune to hyperfocused on his defense. One wrong move and he is dead.
"UNKNOWN UNIVERSE!" Adam yelled as he unleashed a power upper slash! The Katana cut through Jaune's clothes and bit his aura as his body shone! Adam pivoted his heel and made a powerful turning slash!
Pong!
Jaune expanded his shield in time to block the attack, and shove Adam away with a mighty heave. Jaune moved quickly and struck Adam at the shoulder! Adam's aura shone red as he grimace in pain but was not prepared when Jaune pummel strike her head. Jaune then followed it up with a shield punch! Then a backhand with his shield, slamming the bronze metal hit Adam's jaw.
Adam pushed and kicked Jaune, earning some distance as he took a breather and held his jaw.
"You are one brutal man. Did Yang teach you that?"
"A bit. But Qrow and Maria taught me battle IQ." Jaune breathes, "you good? Can you talk about your family now?"
"Why the hell are you so obsessed with my family?!" Adam shouts back, "they are not even my family! Just co-workers!"
"Because you are trying to go back to the past Adam!"
"That past is a dream that I yearn for!"
"But how about the reality here! Think Adam! Do you actually think no one is hurt because of what you are doing?"
"Of course, I am a terrorist, Jaune!"
"Yes, but think who is worried for you! Who wants you back? Do you think Remnant wants you back!" Jaune finished as Adam growled, but Jaune continued, "Do you this that Earth doesn't want you in it? That Japan, Kyoto does not want Adam Taraus?!"
And once again, the tension disappeared from the battlefield.
"You have family here. Don't you, Adam?" Jaune asked slowly.
"I… I am not sure." Adam hesitatingly replied.
"Do you think they will be hurt by what the Khaos Brigade is doing?" Adam frowned at the question, "that proves that you care for them. And that what you are doing is stupid."
"Chasing my dream is not stupid."
"Chasing the past is." Jaune answered back, "Look, I know you wanted harmony which Ghira preached, but do you think Earth would have that peace if you continued to join that dragon? Do you?!"
Adam couldn't reply.
"So, are we done?"
A rather tense silence brewed in the air as both hunters looked at one another.
Energy gathered around Adam as a red aura swirled around his very body!
Jaune prepared for another fight thinking that he never got through to Adam. But…
"AHHHHH!" Adam yelled to the sky as his aura burst through everywhere! Having experienced the Grimm War, Jaune had witnessed many who 'self-destructed' with their aura, and this feel like one…
… but it wasn't. Adam burst his aura, stopped as his body flickered red…
...and his aura shattered.
"Yeah." Adam sighed, "we are done."
"You drained your aura."
"Got to have a legit excuse on why I lost; besides you pretty much shaved most of it."
Jaune understood what he meant as he looked at his surroundings. The ruins is now more broken than ever. Peeking on his aura.
[Jaune Arc: 22%]
"So are you done?" Jaune asked with a slight smile.
"Yeah." Adam smiled back
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. That is not good, Adam." A female voice called out just as the dangerous sense of the hunters went haywire. Both jump far as a giant Crucifix slammed into the ground! Then it burst into purple flames!
A woman stood on top of the cross with a sinister smile, "So, you choose to betray the Khaos Brigade."
"Walburga."
"You know there are consequences, right?"
"Life is about consequences, girl"
"OH, ENOUGH WITH YOUR SAGE BULLSHIT!" She looked mad as the purple flames around the cross grew, "But now I have a great reason to kill you!"
"I like to see you try." Jaune stood in front of Adam with his shield deployed.
"Jaune. That is Incarnate Anthem."
"Jesus' cross and Holy Flames" Jaune nodded in understanding, "Listen, miss. We can ta-"
Just as Jaune was beginning to speak, heat gathered as his hair almost burn as Holy Fire slammed into Jaune's shield!
"SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT" Even with aura, Jaune was pushed back by an unstoppable force as his bronze shield turned hot red and began to burn his aura.
His body glowed white in response to the heat, as the Holy Fire tried to eat his aura, but failed to. However, the high heat is hurting Jaune.
"Fuck!" and Adam cursing proved that they are in real danger.
"HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA SO YOU ARE ONE OF THEM?! THOSE PEOPLE WHO CAN WIELD THE SOUL?! OH, IT WILL BE SO FUN TO SEE IF I CAN BURN YOUR SOUL! AND BE THE FIRST TO KILL TWO WITH ONE STONE!" Walburga yelled in madness as the Holy Cross of the Son battled the Natives of Remnant.
Jaune held his ground, but the glowing heat of his shield started to burn his coat. But in the midst of the heat, the pain, the fear. He felt his sword vibrating.
But the pain brought him back to the fight.
"AHHHHHHH!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!"
"NOOOOOOOOOO!
Suddenly Demonic Ice exploded between him and Walburga as it fought and killed the Holy Fire.
"What the fuck? Demonic Frost?!"
Jaune felt fear as he saw Lint's back as she stabbed Dainsleif into the ground.
"So Hot vs Cold?"
"Jaune get out of here!"
"SO BE IT!" Walburga yelled as power gathered around her as the cross began to glow.
[BALANCE BREAK! INCINERATE ANTIPHONA CALVARIO!]
"FIRE VS ICE" the flames grew hotter, "HOLY VS DEMONIC!" the Holy Aura in the area spiked rivaling the Vatican's, "DRAGON VS DRAGON!" an eastern dragon suddenly appear, crucified on the cross.
Lint breathed in as she steel her heart, even though it threatened to break as she heard he boyfriend's cries
"LINT GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
Getting a hold of her life force and channeling it to the Cursed Blade, she unleashed a glacier of demonic ice. As the Holy Cross fired its Holy Fire.
The clash began.
The very air turned into conflicting vapor as the holy and demonic energies clashed! The temperature rose even though Dainsleif fired unlimited frost. Jaune saw his girlfriend's small form fighting against a gigantic wave of Holy Fire, eating most of Dansleif's ice.
Even with her weapon, Lint began to sweat because of the heat, as her weapon leashed her life away from her.
The Holy Cross is overwhelming. It was worthing for the Title of Longinus. All she has was a cursed blade. She couldn't protect Jaune…
…unless.
Walburga had a smug smile as her flames slowly but surely consumed her opponent; getting excited about the prospect of killing Aura Users after killing this bitch!
Then it felt cold. Heavy. And Stiff. As she looked around herself and noticed at with her Sacred Gear is incase of layer, upon layer of ice. So cold. So alone.
Even with the hottest Holy Flames. She felt cold in her last moments.

CLANG
"No! Lint NO!" Jaune scrambled to his girlfriend. She lay on ice as her sword fell to the ground. Her body was pale, cold, and covered with bruised due to the curse effects of her sword.
"Lint!" he shook her shoulders, "Lint you will be okay!"
"Jaune… I am sorry."
"Don't worry, just don't close your eyes…"
"My time is up Jaune, I… *cough* spent all of my lifeforce on Dainsleif."
"Why…?"
Lint then cupped Jaune's cheek with a soft smile. "Because I love you."
Slowly, Lint's eyes closed
"No! NO NO NO NO! NOT AGAIN! LINT!"
Jaune embraced her body, her cold body.
"DON'T LEAVE ME!" tears stream down his cheeks.
Then he felt warm. The familiar one. Something that only happened in his last life.
Opening his eyes, he saw his body glow as his aura rippled toward Lint's slowly bringing her color back. Her breath finally evened with a sigh. She opened her eyes as she cried.
"You idiot. Saving the damsel at the last minute?"
A small purple amber slowly crawled its way to Lint as it then merged with Lint and Jaune's aura.
Jaune suddenly felt something helping him at healing Lint, as the cursed effects of Dainsleif has been lifted.
Jaune smiled and kissed her head as he continued to activate his semblance.
… rest easy fearless leader.

The second to the last chapter of the arc. Yes. The vampires are defeat, and the Incarnate Anthem is finally revealed.
But looks like I stole Saji's moment… but this is also a sign that other things will be different from Canon.
Also, Walburga mentioned Aura Users. Later
Adam finally accepts Earth… we will explore this.
