"I should be mad for you trespassing my office. But the mere fact that I never felt your presence amused me more." Bishop Strada as he took out a bottle of rum with two glasses. He placed it down on a table and sat across Jaune who for some reason, is colorless.
"Let's get to the point Port." Jaune firmly announced as color returned to him.
"So… you finally acting your age and your status."
"Age and status?"
"You know I am the Professor Port from Remnant Jaune." Port said as he poured rum into the glasses.
"So why didn't you say anything?"
"Because I am not sure if you were ready." Then he continued before Jaune can speak, "and I mean with your first set of memories and your acceptance of them." Port drank his shot, "let me tell you. Mid-life crisis had a new meaning when I unlocked all my memories."
"So, your memories didn't come to you in one moment?"
"No Sir. I unlocked it when I fought Kokabiel; my aura was force to be unlocked when I was losing. At first I thought it was touki, then the memories rolled it, but it was slow. Some snippets for this week, then a year later I got a memory of the syllabus of Beacon, and so on."
"Sir? Why are you calling me that?"
Then Port bowed, "I am merely a professor of a destroyed Academy, while you are a General of Remnant's largest modern army."
"But in this second life, you are the Strongest Human alive and a leader of the biggest religion; for what's its worth, I should be under your command in this life."
Port smiled in the way his eyes closed in joy, "how about this? We treat ourselves as equals."
Jaune picked up his glass and toasted Port, "Deal."
Both veterans of Remnant had a comfortable silence as both felt relief.
"By the way. What did you do to my sword?" Jaune broke the silence, "I observed that it vibrates around the Holy Relics and has some holy damage."
"Hmmm…" Port said with a hum, "We forged your sword with the found silver coins of Judas."
"I am sorry?"
"Your sword is merged with 5 silver coins from the 40 to bribed Judas to betray Jesus."
"…so, what does it do?" Jaune asked slowly
"We don't know.
"Seriously?"
"Yes…"
"I see, so a Holy Sword?"
"Maybe… possibly. That is for you to discover." Port took another shot, "So… Tranquil. How did you get Ren's semblance?"
"To be honest, I don't know." Jaune asked for another round, "all I know is that I can only have access to it when I activate my Aura Amp."
"I did read about your sudden bout with the True Longinus" Port poured more rum, "But what I assumed you just brute force your way out, Jaune Arc style, with your semblance."
"Well, I was planning to." Jaune cradled his drink, "but the semblances of my old team started to pop out to defend me."
Then he activated Tranquil, "however I could only have access of Tranquil and its bare basics; my control is absolute crap. And don't get me started with High Voltage. When I tase myself on purpose, I couldn't activate it and just hurt myself, and I have no idea how Polarity works."
"Maybe its because you had the most contact with Ren's soul back in our old world with your semblance."
"Maybe," Jaune said…
"You need to work on your speed." Port suddenly says.
"I am sorry?"
"Being a professor for a moment. But from what your report says with your bout with this Cao Cao, you are terribly slow."
"Sorry for my shortcomings…"
"And that is why I am ordering you as the bishop and professor, to go under training with a certain someone."
"Didn't you say we are equals?"
"But I am asking you to do this for your own good. Tell me, do you think you will just sit around while the True Longinus wander? Especially with the Khaos Brigade?"
"No…"
"So yeah. You are going to be training with Father Peng tomorrow, 8 am."
Jaune looked at Port with shock, "you got to be shitty me."
"Trust me on this Jaune." Port nodded, "and also, I have a certain gift for you there too."
"Oh boy."
-xXx-
The next day, we see Jaune getting ready for his special training. He was preparing himself, grooming his hair and fixing his bed. But when he was about to leave…
SHHHH…SHHH…
The radio on his desk began to pick-up a signal.
"I assume this is you, Jaune." A radio spoke.
"Yes Adam, took you a while."
"Had to make sure that this channel is yours… knowing that we are not the only one here on Earth. Anyone can use this frequency."
"I checked it first before using it. This emergency frequency is only known to in Remnant, and the code I sent you is only known to leaders."
"I studied the Hunter lifestyle to know what this frequency is for… but I doubt you need my help."
"No, I just wanted to see if I can make a clear communication line with you."
"Good. Because I need your help."
"I'm all ears."
"Khaos Brigade in Kyoto. More specifically the Hero Faction."
"…."
"Jaune."
"You mind if I report this to the church?"
"I am hoping you will bring back-up." Adam replied, "Yasaka-sama knows the situation and asked me to find allies. You are one of them, if not the only one I can think of."
"Not that I will not help, but why do you trust me?"
"You asked me about my family. Now I am asking you help me protect it."
"…tell me everything."
-xXx-
Jaune came running late for his special training, writing down the necessary information from Adam about Kyoto.
"Late. But I don't mind." A voice called out as Jaune arrived at the gardens of the Vatican. It is filled with grass and flowers for all to enjoy, with a big pavement square at the middle, however today, it was reserved for them. And on the middle of it, was a Chinese priest wearing a priest garb integrated with a shifu garb.
"Father Peng." Jaune said slowly.
"Jaune."
A silence was made… but surprisingly it is not uncomfortable.
"I have to apologize." Peng finally, "for all the things I have done to you. And thank you."
Jaune inhaled and slowly relaxed, "Under the bridge now. Someone important told me to trust you. So, I am here with no hesitation or hate."
"Thank you." Peng finished. He was very different; like the Zen feel Ren and Vine is known for, "Bishop Strada has told me of your sudden rivalry with the wielder of the True Longinus of all people. Told me that you need to increase your speed and all."
"I honestly don't think you can help me."
"That is because you don't see the new me."
BOOM!
Jaune deployed his shield on time as the pavement broke and a powerful force exploded from Peng! But he never felt killing intent. Just a flex.
Jaune saw Peng surrounded by a dense snowy white. But experience in Remnant told him that this power is that of a soul.
Although not aura, it was the thing that everyone outcasted him and Peng.
Touki.
But this one, is different. Stronger. Fuller. Harder. Like a shell instead of an illumination.
"After a closer inspection with your Ki from our fight. I work hard, studied, and gone literal soul searching on how to improve my already impressive Touki." Peng announced as he will his Ki to wrap around him like armor, "Your Ki reminded of me of the Balance Breaker Scale Mails of the Heavenly Dragons; they are power suited for all out combat using the entire body. At first it is unheard of to make Ki the same way, but after you showed me your ki, I decided that I can make it possible."
Jaune can only smile in amazement. Ren would smile too for Peng as achieved what all hunters could only dream to get.
A suit of armor made from their aura.
"So, with how Scale Mail works. I assume you are now at the peak human performance?" Jaune asked
"Though I don't dare question Strada's power. I think I can outclass you."
Peng disappeared.
Danger sense and Tranquil alarmed him to duck as a fist appeared and aimed for his head.
BAM!
But Jaune failed to realize it was alarming about two threats, as a touki armored fist slammed into Jaune's gut. He spit blood and fell on his knees.
"I believe that your Ki warned you of my attack, but you never truly saw it considering you miss my other fist." Peng said
"…argh. Yeah" Jaune nodded, "how the fuck did you get so fast?"
"Training. Training. Training." Peng said, "I now outclass Devil Knights and maybe be on the level of Oukita, the Knight of Sirzechs."
"That is stupid fast. You actually think I can be that."
"Your style is different from mine, so I respect that. I don't expect you to be as fast as me because that is not your style, however, I can help you by learning how to handle someone as fast as me."
"Know your enemy." Jaune said.
"Sun Tsu." Peng replied, "but we can only complete the training when I give you this." Peng assisted Jaune and brought him to a box meant to hold a spear, "The greatest strength of a spear is its reach. With this you can fight away from the wielder of the True Longinus."
Jaune slowly opened the box and revealed a spear.
"A spear?"
"You don't feel anything?"
"No…"
"Me too. But apparently Bishop Strada spent an entire year convincing the Pope himself to give you this weapon, especially considering this is from the Devil-Dragon Tannin.
Jaune looked shock on how the hell a weapon from a Dragon King is to be given to him. "Why?"
"The spear is unique. You don't feel anything because the power within it must be forced out, and Strada believes your ki can push out the real power of the spear."
"No, why did a devil give the church a spear?"
"Remember when the devil Diodora seduced your sister?"
"Fuck… don't tell me this is the compensation for that incident."
"Correct. But this was an expensive compensation for the church to hold their blades, for this weapon is a legendary one. It's sister weapon is hailed in the church."
"So, a holy weapon?"
"No, it is a Dragon-based weapon. That is why it was with Tannin, he was studying the secrets of the weapon, especially since it holds the power of a forgotten and lost Dragon King."
Forgotten and lost Dragon King. Jaune thought of Vritra first, but that guy is not forgotten.
Landon or Nidhogg?
Samuel?
But those guys all has names and clearly are not forgotten.
Jaune then held the weapon and infused his aura to it. Immediately he felt power similar that of Siegfried, a dragon's power. So, he amped his aura into the spear as it began to glow amber!
Jaune's aura felt like it was amping another person as the weapon glowed in destructive power known from dragons!
"That weapon" Peng announce, "Is the ASCALON SPEAR!"
"…" Jaune held the weapon, "Isn't Ascalon a sword?"
"Then I suggest you read the report of St. George himself," Peng nodded, "first we need you to teach you the basics of spear fighting and ho-" Peng suddenly duck as the tip of a spear soar to cut it!
The he bobbed and weaved as it thrusted towards him multiple times. Then the butt of said spear slammed into his temple!
His head rang as his legs were swept by the shaft and he lost his footing! Not before said shaft slammed him into the ground!
His Touki armor protected him through the assault, but he was shocked at the rather proficiency of Jaune Arc with a spear.
He felt a spearhead tickle his throat as Jaune smirked, "This is not my first polearm."
Peng smiled, then disappeared as Jaune felt a boot to the back of the head!
Jaune rolled and crashed into the walls as Peng made Tai chi moves, "So we are good with the basics, lets begin the real training."

OMAKE BELOW!
So, Port comes clean. Adam needs help. And Peng Returns!
I always wanted Jaune to wield a spear for two reasons; Pyrrha and the Druapnir Spear is awesome. I had months to mentally debate on which pole weapon to use and played with different cursed weapons.
So, I looked up on legendary weapons on Wikipedia. When I was on the swords section, I found that Ascalon was either a sword or a spear. So, looking up more of St. George, I found that most of his paintings is him with a spear.

In a Victorian looking room, Jaune can be seen looking through the Vatican Archives deep below Rome. Jaune looked through multiple tomes and books searching for the tomes Peng suggested him to read.
"I think this is the one." He said as he pulled an old scroll titled, "Sir George's Report of the Dragon named Ascalon" in Latin.
Opening it, he found that it is written in classic Latin, "This will be a long and hard read then." Jaune sighed as he took out his tumbler full of coffee.

The mission the church has sent me to do was straight-forward with some expectation of monsters to slay, it is to purify the pound of the City of Silene, Libya. Reports says that the water source has been polluted after a fierce battle between two dragons.
The possibility that it was the Hosts of the Boosted Gear and Divine Divide was immediately eliminated considering that the city has not received direct damage, but their source of water is thick in blood, gunk, and bits of scales.
So, on the best issued horse the church can give, I began my long ride to Libya. My steed's breed meant for long distance travelled has endured day and night long runs without a sign of complain. And within 3 whole days, I arrived at the city.
The city had the gloom of a plague as many sick people wander around; though with my limited knowledge with field medicine tells me that this people source of sickness is not before of the contaminated water, but dehydration.
Dry skin, sluggish movement, and a common sight of people not walking straight as their breath is thick with booze.
"You, what happened to this place?" I asked a guard on his post.
"A plague Sir. Well kind of a plague: everyone here is smart not to drink the water, so we all either drink the clean water we can find or drink booze."
"Yes, but they do it feel like there is a plague?"
"That is because everyone's spirits are down. Our 'good' King decided that our pond up north should be cleaned so that we can drink again, but the job was too dangerous." Then the guard frowned, "he had the splendid idea of drawing lots on who should clean it, the result are loved ones never returning after they left to do their 'civic' duty."
I nodded grimly, "So a rebellion can happen anytime soon?"
"Would have if the King didn't humiliate himself in front of his people! Ha! His daughter was later drawn to clean the pond and the bastard bowed to the entire state, begging for us to let someone do his daughter's duty. But all of us didn't move."
"So, the princess is now cleaning the pond?"
"That, or she is dead. We will give her a week before we draw someone else."
I nodded along, but clearly the King's plan is not effective considering many people have died and his daughter will soon.
"Listen to me, I am from the church, gather plenty of basins of water from the stream and I will purify them; your city can drink clean water for the day."
Desperate for clean water, the guard did as told as I Bless and Purify 500 barrels of dirty water into Holy Water. The city cheered and thanked me, but I told them I had to clean the source and maybe save the princess before she gets killed.
On my way there, I found out that the very air on the way to the pond is toxic; filled with poison that it can kill any man, evident with the multiple corpses on the path with cleaning tools for the pond.
"So, the chosen cleaners died before they got there."
I got a cloth and wet it with holy water, then masked myself and my horse to protect us from the poison as we galloped to the pond.
And the sight when we got there was of horror and heartbreaking.
There lay near the pond, was an enormous amber dragon as big as the pond; it was injured with gashes all over its body, and near the beast, was a lady in her mid-life, holding on the dragon. When I got closer, the dragon merely peaked at my direction before going back to nap with a pained grunt.
I looked at who could be the princess of the city wearing an all-white gown, well it looks like it, but its cloth looked to basic, like an apron turned into a dress, as if the attire was designed for a female butcher, but clean and pristine. On her hands were two silver rings glowing in healing magic.
"Twilight Healing?"
"Oh, so you know that Gift of God?" the princess asked.
"I am from the church."
"I see…"
Once I stood beside the princess, I got a better look at the dragon's condition. Dragons are known to be Creatures of Power, and the dragon in front of me just proves it, in a sad way.
Powerful Dragon Aura and Mana, leak through the many wounds of the dragon, threatening to open the wounds even bigger like water overflowing a pot, and the only reason why the dragon hasn't bursting into dozens of pieces yet, is because of the princess healing power.
I took a better look at the princess and found out that she had dark circles under her eyes.
"What can I do to help?"
[Heh, a knight of God willing to help a dragon?] The dragon suddenly spoke.
"You are in pain."
"I am a dragon; God hates Samuel…"
"May it that be, but with that logic, then all serpents are equivalent of devils; I don't know if you know, but Mosses had a snake with him to do God's works." I answered honestly, I understood the prejudice towards dragons, "besides, isn't the story of 'The Good Samaritan' teach us about judging ones character."
[Hehehehe… I actually don't know the story]
"So why not I tell you the story" the princess said, "but first we need to give this knight a task to do."
I looked at the pond and found that the blood of the dragon pollutes it, but in order to stop the pollution, he need to help the dragon's injury or sickness.
"Again, what can I do?"
[Hmmmm… do you know why there is a belt around my neck? My last opponent structs my Under-Scale, a part of a dragon where our power is concentrated… that is why most dragons breathe their magic.]
"And I assume that this Under-Scale is damaged?"
"Correct" the princess said, "the belt tied around his neck makes sure that this dragon won't spit unadulterated dragon magic, but the consequences is that now the power is bottled up in his body."
"Wait? Why are you okay with this? That belt is adding to your suffering!" I asked.
[Because if I unleash the power, I will go in a state of "Outrage". Something that the humans of the region will never like.]
"You are willing to suffer for the sake of humans?"
[I am not such a brute to ignore a life of others. Yes, dragons are perceived to be at the top, but Humans too have a special presence in the Earth.]
"So, what can I do?"
The dragon looked at my steed, and I fear he was asking for a meal, however.
[Take that lance on your mount and pierce my neck; create a clean and open hole so that my excess dragon aura has a clear and steady flow of exit.]
"Wouldn't that kill you?"
[Fear not. Just hit this specific part of my neck, and I assure you that I won't die; maybe bleed, but I believe Twilight Healing can compensate that.]
"I am willing to do it." The princess said.
So, with hesitation, care, and complete obedience to the dragon's instructions, I carefully pierce a hole with my lance to the dragon's neck. Power and blood poured out, but instead of fear or pain, the dragon felt relief.
[Thank you. But please keep your lance in there or else my skin with heal. Once in a while please reopen the hole.]
I nodded as the princess focused back to her work, and the wounds around the dragon began to truly heal; making an opportunity to clean the pond.
"May I clean the pond now?"
"Go on. I will stay here with Ascalon."
Looking at the pond, I found a lot of collated blood floating on the water, so taking my sword, I picked out the muck, and began to bless the pond into Holy Water.
The process of was long, in both healing the dragon and cleaning the pond.
I had to bless the water continuously as the present blood poison the water, and use my sword to remove all dead flesh and blood of the dragon. Once in a while, I will carefully pierce my lance to Ascalon's neck, making sure that the aura is carefully release.
Every time I hold my lance, I feel dragon aura and blood coat the wooden shaft, and my sword feels more bless the more I dip it on the pond. Which is strange considering I am not blessing the sword, but the blood of the dragon was filled with magic, so maybe there is some magical reaction happening.
It took four days of repeating the process… but it was worth it.
I look at the now pristine pond, holy and glistening with no pollution, and behind me is a rather happy dragon.
[HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT HUMANS WILL NURSE A DRAGON KING BACK TO HEALTH!]
"A Dragon King?" the princess asked.
"It is a title given to dragons of a certain rank." I explained, "but you have to lay low now. Especially if you don't want Tannin or maybe Tiamat hunting you."
[Yes, and honestly, I don't like that title especially since all of us are just fighting and FIGHTING!] Ascalon sighed, [Maybe I should lay low like Midgardsormr, but at least he has Jotunheim to hide.]
"Well, I think you will find a way." I said confidently.
Ascalon looked at me and said, [Thank you Sir George. Your mercy is proof of your faith towards your God. You preach through actions. Thank you too Princess.]
And with power and magic now extremely familiar to me and the princess, Ascalon the Dragon King flew to the sky and disappeared by the horizon.
"So…" I said, "time to get you home."
After bringing back the princess and the corpse of the cleaners to town. I was parades as a hero who 'slayed the dragon' after telling them what truly happened; even both the princess and I denied any battle, the commonfolk couldn't accept that a dragon, the symbol of strife in Europa, was truly that tame. And considering the damage and murder the Heavenly Dragons, the original and their host, the other Dragon Kings, and the now dead Evil Dragons, I couldn't blame them.
I returned to my HQ. I later learned that the pond I blessed for four days later baptized all people who comes contact of it. Because of that there are talks to promote me to pope, but I declined the offer.
Then that nasty rumor of me being a Dragon Slayer came around, especially what happened to that sword I used to clean the pond.
However, what concerns me is that sword and lance I brought. They are not normal anymore. The sword radiates holiness rivalling Durandal with Dragon Slaying properties, maybe due to my continuous blessing of the pond and the present magical dragon blood in it. And the lance…
The lance is interesting. I got quite attached to it, for it carried the familiar aura of Ascalon; it is a reminder of the princess and the dragon, like as if they are still with me.
So, in honor my friend, I named it: ASCALON SPEAR.
-xXx-
Jaune couldn't help but smile. Even as a harden veteran, he knows more than anyone that we can never just look at a person on the surface.
Because friends are just strangers we haven't met yet.
The myth of St. George and the Dragon varies throughout the European nations. Some more fantasy like, others humbler, and the rest symbolic.
This is my take on it considering the themes of DxD. So there are three Ascalons. Ascalon the Dragon King (Missing/In hiding), Ascalon Blade (Issei's Holy Sword from Michael), and Ascalon Spear (Jaune Arc's Dragon Spear.)
More notes (March 31): I edited this chapter just a bit because one sentence made Jaune sound too OP than intended. It is a typo and error on my part.
