Author's Notes: Hey everyone, glad that you like my story, I hope that you like this one as well. As always I own nothing.

Sansa was led back to her cell and left in darkness. She was not sure how long she was there and out of fear that she could be called back at any time she did not enter anymore animals. She was awoken from slumber by the sound of someone entering her cell. It was again Lord Varys, as always he offered her a bow as he entered.

"My Lady." He said. "I heard of your trial. I fear that it did not go well.

"There was no proof of witchcraft!" Sansa insisted. "The whole charge is ludicrous!" Varys gave a pitying look.

"I fear that you have more of your father in you than your sense of honor. My Lady, please allow me to be blunt. It hardly matters if there is proof or not, if they want to convict you they will. Even if you should escape that charge, it is clear that you are guilty of apostasy."

"Can I demand a Trial by Combat?" Sansa asked. She almost smiled at the thought of "Brother" Lancel going up against Brienne.

"Alas, as your trial is a Trial of Faith you cannot chose a Trial by Combat. The Queen Mother insisted that, as the charges against you were religious in nature, a Trial of Faith would be most appropriate."

"And ensure a trial that I am likely to lose." Sansa said in a dull voice. Varys gave a little laugh, one which lacked all humor.

"It is most fortuitous set of circumstances from the Queen Mother's point of view. Indeed, she had had a rather good day."

"What do you mean?" Sansa asked him.

"After your trial there was a hearing to consider the accusations against Sir Loras. During the hearing both Sir Loras and his sister, Queen Margaery, were proven to have lied and the High Septon had them both taken into custody." Sansa stared at him in shock.

"What did the King do?"

"I fear His Grace has proven rather…stymied by the situation. He desires to act and your lord husband is urging action, but if he does act I fear there shall be blood in the streets and the King is eager to avoid that."

"Well, the Hand of the King will not be." Sansa responded. "Has the High Septon never heard The Rains of Castamere? Is he mad or does he wish a massacre?"

"I believe that the High Septon has plans of his own and I fear the desires of the nobles matter little. As for fear of the Hand, the High Septon has…faith."

"In the gods?" Sansa asked, a note of incredulity in her voice. "They aren't always the most reliable I have learned."

"Doubtless you are correct I am afraid to say. As to what he believes in, I believe that he believes that justice will prevail and he is on the side of justice, at least in his own mind."

"If he believes that, then he is a fool." Sansa said. "Justice goes to the strong, not the deserving."

Sometime after Varys left her guards came for her. Again she was taken to the chamber and the same figures, including the Queen Mother, were seated. Again she was made to sit in the chair and the old man came forward.

"Sansa of House Stark, wife of Tyrion of House Lannister, a verdict has been reached. On the charge of Witchcraft, it has been determined that there is insufficient evidence to convict you. However; there is more than sufficient evidence of your adhering to the false faith of the North. On the charge of apostasy, this court finds you guilty."

Author's Notes: Short I know but to the point. I found the High Sparrow more likable and more sensible in the books, do you book-readers agree or no? Let me know in the comments. Next time you will get to hear her sentence, feel free to speculate. How did you like the way I had Cersei ensure that Brienne couldn't get Sansa out of trouble. Till then, in addition to all the other requests for prayer I have made I ask that you pray for those injured in the Louisiana shooting, some of those injuries are life-threatening. Thank you and may Jesus bless you.
