"It is an honor to meet you finally, M'lord."
"Please, we are all brothers here. There is no need for formalities."
"And please call me Doctor."
BARK!
Jaune looked around the table and breathed in relief. Who would ever think that this meeting was only possible because of the official signing of the peace treaties? Jaune found himself at a table with other Natives of Remnant as they chatted like brothers even though they mainly belonged to different races in this world.
"Who would have ever thought that the Legendary Professor Port is also the Legendary Bishop Vasco Strada." Watts commented with a chuckle, "I had my eye on you since your debut during World War 2."
"Oh? And why didn't you seek me out?" Port asked
"Well, Raph here wanted to make sure that it was not only the two of us." Watts gestured to Raphael, "Since then I have been building a device that can detect any aura signature like ours."
"That is how you found me?" Jaune asked.
"Correct, but the other and more important reason why we didn't approach you four is because our memories came back to us extremely slowly," Watts explained
"True… I only understood my past life after Father died: So I couldn't ask him extremely important questions about myself and Remnant." Raphael sighed as Watts nodded.
"Wait… it took you centuries to get it back? I received all my memories when I unlocked my aura." Adam said.
"True…" Jaune also confirmed.
"Well… let's all say that our very nature is extremely complicated, full of mysteries and random." Watts lectured, "I am not sure if you are aware, but there are three more people like us in the US, Egypt, and Hell."
All of the "younger" brothers snapped their eyes at the fact, "Wait… I thought there was only one more." Jaune voiced his thoughts.
"Well… it is hard to say." Watts explained, "The Aura signature from Hell was once as powerful as ours currently, but apparently, 17 years ago, that signature vanished completely, before flickering once in a while."
"We have our suspicions on who this person might be," Raphael said, "The "True" Hero of the Devil Civil War, 'The Lioness of Hell', Misla Bael"
Port visibly squinted his eyes, "I never heard of her."
"Well, technically it is an open secret among leaders that she was the real hero of the civil war," Raphael sighed with frustration, "Apparently the new government of the devils wanted to promote the New Satan, Sirzech Lucifer as the poster boy of the government and the national hero of the Underworld. For political reasons, especially since his power is directly from the Great Devil King's Lineage."
"In a nutshell, the great-grandfather of the most powerful devil in the world wanted to flash his newly appointed descendant as the newest and coolest player in the power hierarchy of the world." Watts scoffed, "Bullshit really, considering that people perceived Raph and I to be second rank after Father and the Heavenly Dragons, that devil bastard should have given that spot to Misla if he really wanted to compete."
"But… isn't Misla a Bael?" Adam asked.
"Only by marriage."
"Shit… so first they took away her spot as the strongest – then they forced her to the family."
"...and later abandoned her." Raphael frowned hard as both aura and holiness started to leak.
All of the brothers, even Zwei frowned at the information, "So is she dead?"
"No…" Raphael then gained a quiet smile, before it turned into a smile one, "She is currently in an aura-induced coma."
Jaune didn't stop himself from breathing in with complete angst and shock, "WHAT?! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?! IS THE FROM EGYPT THE ONE RESPONSIBLE?!"
"Easy, son." Raphael said calmly, "No… none of us on Earth has an "Aura-stealing" semblance; I am not so sure myself, but my radars back in 4th Heaven claim that it is self-induced."
"She sacrificed a part of her soul?" Adam asked in complete shock, "For what?"
Both Raphael and Watts looked at one another, unsure. "We cannot give definite conclusions… but I think we now have the chance to hell her since we are now allies with the Devils."
That at least brought some relief.
"Who is the one in Eygpt?"
"Goddess Neith."
"The Goddess of Hunting… of course." Port commented, "Did she make contact with you?"
"No, and… although we wanted to make contact first, let's say the Egyptian Gods won't be happy if I suddenly visit." Raphael said, while the younger brothers gave him questioning looks, "10 Plagues; I was directly responsible for it."
"And the world, even now is skeptical about the Fallen." Watts said before whispering, "Hopefully that will go away with the new alliance."
"Okay… and the one in the US?"
"Well, he or she just popped out on our radar recently…" Watts gave both of the younger brothers some questioning and confused looks, "He or she is the most confusing part… After I made the device immediately after Port's debut, I found a flicking aura signature in the United States of America… and guess where it was located."
"... Washington?"
"No… the Manhattan Project." Watts frowned, "I think he or she was a scientist… but what makes it more interesting is that after that era, the aura flickers in Ivy-league universities like Harvard, before traveling the world and different realms.
Then he looked at the younger brother harder, "Until recently, that aura signature spiked hard multiple times in the Vatican before it was detected again in the dimension-copy of Kyoto.
Jaune himself was confused… can he or she be following him, or keeping an eye on fellow Native of Remnant? Well considering that trouble has been steering recently which involves aura and–
"Ascalon." Port immediately puts the pieces together, "King Ascalon is a Native of Remnant, and Jaune's broken Spear… contains hisr aura."
Jaune mind turned before it slowly clicked, especially considering that his semblance can push out the dragon aura within… "Wait, so that is how she rose to the rank of Dragon King."
"She?"
"Ddraig explained that Queen Ascalon could have been a Heavenly Dragon if she sought out for might, but she only sought for knowledge."
"And the Original Heavenly Dragons were embodiments of Domination and Supremacy." Watts muttered, "Primordial Concepts in living flesh, for an ordinary dragon to complete with them, she must of Aura."
"Damn" Adam merely muttered, "Is aura really that powerful?"
"Well… in simple terms, aura in itself is very straightforward – it is like touki, however, said 'touki' gets strong with training and the power of the soul… and let me tell you, the soul itself is extremely powerful." Raphael explained as the others listened in, "Like, tell me, how can a god-killing Sacred Gear, a Longinus that can control the very weather rapidly, create millions of demonic clones, create new dimensions, host literal dragons, the Nemean Lion, the Dog God, and other more spirits, rest in a soul of a human infant, no, a human embryo before the very body was developed."
"The soul is full of mysteries too…" Watts shook his head, "Father only just gave us more questions when he answered our first set of questions about the Soul."
"Well… at least we can rest easy knowing that the people who will protect Remnant are capable of doing so…" Adam sighed, "The real reason why Jaune and I are gearing up, is because our home is under threat."
"By who? Ophis?"
"No… she has the power to enter Remnant for eons but she was never interested." Adam said quickly, "By a bored madman… Rizevim Lucifer."
"That unmotivated boy?" Raphael commented.
"Oh… he is motivated for pure chaos and destruction." Adam sighed in disgust, "The man could have been a late bloomer, and he inherited the toxic tendencies of Lucifer Morningstar and Lilith, only that the boy didn't have any attachments to God, Adam, and Eve to hold him back."
"Adam, he wants to destroy Remnant?" Jaune asked seriously.
"No…" Adam said grimly, "He plans to fucking summon other gods. Like, the arrogance him to think gods will bow to him, but according to the Ophis, that process of summoning might just pull gods to other worlds instead of Earth."
"And if the bastard fails, a god might pop in Remnant, fuck."
"Yes… so we either need to amass new allies through the Great Three Factions to stop the Khaos Brigade, or we directly fight him," Adam suggested.
"I guess that won't be easy…."
"The man is arrogant, but he is also cautious; cautious enough to get Cao Cao unnerved and make me feel small even when I was Ophis' Secretary."
"How much time do we have?"
"Our true timer is how soon Ophis kicks Great Red out of the Dimensional Gap… only there and then can she provide a sliver more information about the other worlds."
"That is her greatest prize for her followers?"
"Correct. Power is easy, but traveling to other worlds? There is a reason why she sits at the top of the food chain with Great Red."
"Fuck me… so we are all ill-prepared to stop the problem now." Watts said, "So more politicking for us to do."
"I think we can also more ways to prevent him from making a summoning; we should make contact with the Aesir Chief God, Odin; he might have an idea to lock inter-dimensional travel to Remnant."
"Can he do that?"
"Well, he locked the Nine-Realms to prevent Heaven from attack," Watts shrugged, "Still useless considering that Father can more a portal any time of the day to Asgard."
"Oh… boy."
"So! I think we can discuss training regimens for all of us."
-xXx-
"Hmmm… have you figured it out now, Arc?"
"You are a Schnee… that is for sure."
"Oh, what gave it away? My white-hair? Abraham had white hair too you know?"
"You are a Schnee… but I don't know if I met you."
"True, considering that I am close with the Arcs but I too have never met you. You can be Nicholas' descendant or ancestor."
"You know my father?"
"Only by name… I know your grandfather, Julius Arc. He was my comrade in my days of youth before opening my company."
Jaune's eyes slowly open wide, "Oh boy, you are Nicholas Schnee aren't you?"
The now-identified Nicholas only grins widely, "Correct! To think I will meet Julius' grandson in this life! It is truly a shame I never met the boy who is named after me… I really felt like I should have been his uncle of sorts."
"Okay… okay…"
"Heh… If he was to propose to my little Willow… I would accept, it is a shame that I had to choose Jaques."
"..." Jaune then fidgets in place, "Well, it is a good thing both of them married other people."
"How so…?"
"I married your granddaughter, Weiss."
Author's notes!
Welcome to the interlude of the story! So as we can see, we might still stick close to the story, the motivations of the characters will be different so we can still flow through canon without the sake of it. And look, Ascalon, Misla, and Neith are also Natives of Remant, but who are they?!
The next chapter might take a while since I will drop a lore and dialogue-heavy chapter for my Fate fanfic, but technically the next chapter will be a fun one, especially for our boi Issei.
Some of you guest Raphael's identity right… Also, someone expressed that Penny should be reincarnated here, okay…. I honestly thought that she would be in Raphael's place as Gabriel… but I wanted to throw some unpredictableness of these Natives of Remnant.
Also, I do not want to ship Gabriel with Jaune because I really feel that it would go that route if Penny was her.
BUTTTT! I can make a small JauneXPenny Omake in my Fate Fanfic where the Rusted Knight meets the Saviour of Mantle and Winder Maiden; where Penny asks Jaune to help her experience ALLLLL human experiences, even as a Heroic Spirit.
