Chapter 19
Arya:
I popped into the graveyard where Morgana was keeping Lucien. This one likes to hear herself talk; Cheese and Rice, just shut up, I mentally think as she rattles on. Yes, I rolled my eyes.
What kind of twisted bitch tells a child in detail about the death of their parents? Morgana, the she bitch, that's who.
He looks frail, and I want to burn her alive for hurting what is mine.
"You dare to take what is mine, witch?" I shouted as she began to utter an incantation. "Shut up," I said with the wave of my hand, and my magic immediately silenced her.
I freed Lucien after I secured her with Merlin's invention of handcuffs that block all magic.
I sliced my wrist and drained my blood into a goblet. Lucien is too thirsty at the moment to drink from me.
The blood helped immensely.
Standing up, he took my face in both hands and only stared at me as if I might disappear. I smashed my lips to him, and he groaned as he held me tight.
"You are mine," I whisper as he strokes my hair. I will always come for you, my Luke," I say as he weeps.
"I have missed you for what seems like forever and a day," he rasps with a shaky voice as I turn to face him.
"Never again, my love," I assure him as he breathes a breath of relief.
As I embrace Lucien, I realize my family fills the space, and everyone smiles for me and my mate. Until they see Morgana, and their happiness quickly turns to quiet rage.
They have our memories, so they know everything.
Astrid landed riding on the back of Orion, and her aura was something new. She marched right up to Morgana and grabbed her by the hair. We all stood in shock as Astrid proceeded to drag her away from the graves.
As Astrid lifted the speaking spell, Arthur also stepped forward. As one, we all surrounded them. Wings outstretched as Lucien looked at me with awe.
"I annihilated that bloodline," Morgana screamed as Fintan burst through the trees, but Aryk had him secured before he could do anything.
"Our parents require a word with you, murderous traitor," Aryk said to him in a quiet and menacing voice.
"I don't know your parents, you abomination," he says as Aryk stalks up to him and grabs him roughly. Aryk takes him to Mother and is back in an instant.
I would love to see that when we return to my mother's childhood home.
I feel for a moment what I felt remembering the profound feeling of loss when our kin murdered Aryk, but he is here now and
As we opened our wings, I made sure to shield Lucien. The brightness can kill an unmated vampire, and we have yet to mark each other.
"Morgana LeFey, you are charged and convicted of treason and dark magic as well as the murder of members of the Pendragon bloodline." I hear Astrid's usually quiet and timid voice boom with the force of the heavens.
"As our grandfather before us, we will complete the round table so we vote. I believe in justice, Astrid says, as Arthur says in the same voice from the heavens, "And I am a defender of truth," he declares.
I, Aryk Jason Pendragon Northman, vote for death.
I, Arya Adele Pendragon Northman, vote for death.
All votes were for the death of the witch who murdered our bloodline.
"Whatever darkness that resides inside you shall be cast into the pit," Astrid declares as Arthur pisses her off. "I, Arthur Pendragon Northman, do now strip you of your magic and send you straight to hell," he says as we all watch this very different scenario where our timid sister and brother are the fates of this evil bitch.
As she heard the name, she began to thrash and scream, trying to get to Arthur as he smiled at her and shot her full of Holy fire, which we didn't even know that he could do.
We all watched the witch burn and contained her evil with our wings outstretched.
"We all have the same powers," he explains after killing the most powerful dark witch ever. "When we got our wings," he explains as if we are ignorant.
We may be.
It never crossed my mind.
Astrid and Arthur are badass. I never would have foreseen that.
As we felt the ground rumble, we heard a ferocious growl that shook the ground and the trees. With one simple word, "Mate," the giant wolf Fenrir emerged from the forest and stared at Astrid, who was already back on Orion to take flight.
She smiled and said, "Well, mate, you may call on my parents as is proper," she said with laughter. He growled in warning as she took to the sky, laughing in pure delight.
We all popped out of the scene when we realized that Astrid was Fenrir's mate, and she just flew away from him as if this were a game.
What happened to my siblings? I will worry about that later. I have my very own mate to worry about. Astrid has the bigger problem. She's mated to the Father of wolves.
She knows him already if she's making banter and flirting with the giant wolf. My siblings and cousins are all curious as well. Arthur is quiet as usual, so he must know something, and we will get to the bottom of it today because I don't think it will take Fenrir long to find his mate.
Even Pam wouldn't mess with Fenrir and has no use for wolves. It was no shock to me when a man radiating power showed up at the gates in a temper.
My family, as well as the guest, heard his mate roar from inside the entire estate. As we all popped to the gate, I watched Astrid walk straight to the gate and wore a smile the whole time.
"My love," she replied as he rubbed his face against her hand. "You remember?" he asked hopefully as she shyly nodded. "I am yours, and you are mine, Fenrir," she says with love as she swings open the gates and is embraced by her mate as tears fall from his handsome face.
"What is the meaning of this?" my Father demanded as every wolf shifter bowed low to the ground.
"Father," Astrid says with happiness, "this is my mate Fenrir." We have been mates throughout every lifetime, and I will not be without him in this life," she proudly proclaims as everyone stares in shock except for Arthur and Aryk.
They knew!
"Fenrir, we welcome you to our home," Father says with reverence and pride. "Hella isn't with you, is she"? He asks with a hint of uneasiness.
"No, my mother rules part of her domain and is happy to stay there," Fenrir replies as Father relaxes. She's complicated, as far as Odin has ever said.
Being one of the deities of death will have that effect.
I watch Arya and Lucien disappear into the castle as the many wolves submit to my mate. All were lying flat on the ground with necks bared in submission.
"Astrid, do you know how important it is that you are mated to the Father of Wolves?" My mother asks as I smile and caress his cheek. I feel the sparks, and his eyes never leave my face.
"She is mine." Fenrir whispers to me as I reply, "he is mine."
"I have two daughters already mated," my father grumbles as I smile.
"Fenrir, this is my father, Eric the Northman," I introduce the two. "And this is my mother, Aslynn Pendragon," I say as he bows to my mother & father.
"You are of the bloodline?" he asked as I nodded and said, "Yes."
I was engulfed in a crushing embrace as he battled his emotions.
"You won't be easy to take from me now, love," Fenrir says with relief.
"What do you mean this time?" my parents say.
"We have been fated to be together since the beginning of time, but in each life, Astrid is taken from me," Fenrir replies.
"I sensed you as soon as you entered this realm," he continues. "Then I show up to rescue you only to have you fly away," he says grumpily.
His feelings were almost hurt, but only because I wasn't riding on his back. He always loved that.
"That is Orion; we are spirit bound to one another," I say as he smiles at me with his beautiful green eyes and handsome face.
"The creature has excellent taste in partners," he replies.
"Mother and Father," I say as they still stare at us in shock. "I need to know where my rooms are, and I will not be able to come out tonight," I say as I feel his lust through our bond.
"It has been over a thousand years without him, and I have a bond to complete just as Arya and Lucien are doing now," I say as I watch everyone's mouth drop open.
"I will see you all when the bonding process is done because, as a Brigant Princess, I choose and accept my Fenrir as my forever mate," I say.
Merlin smiles and snaps his fingers, and we are in my room.
As soon as I catch my bearings, I am lifted and slammed against the wall as he growls and sucks my marking spot. I moan in ecstasy as he continues his assault.
"Fenrir, we have to complete three bonding rituals," I explain as he rips my armor from my body with haste. Now I am bare, and he is focused on my nakedness.
"Mine." The walls shook as he slowly slid my center to his hardness. As we moved together, I felt the building pressure of sinking mine into his neck as we came together.
We had never been able to mark each other in our other lifetimes, so I know I will finally be with my love.
" How did you mark me this time?" he pants in exhaustion. My father is an ancient vampire, and my mother is the Queen of Avalon." I reply as he smiles.
"After all this time apart, I will mark you a thousand times," Fenrir says as we look at our marks. A Golden crescent moon with a mighty Wolf howling."
"You are the Luna of all Luna's, my beautiful mate."
"I have already bonded to you in the way of the fae because I chose you, and your heart accepted," I explain as he listens.
"The next part will be the vampire bonding that requires blood and sex," I begin to explain until Fenrir interrupts me and says, "As I bury myself into your warmth, we drink from one another as I proclaim you mine and so forth," he says with anticipation.
I nod as I watch his member grow hard again.
"I can't wait, my princess," he says with a growl.
God, I have missed this man and the Wolf he turns into.
I smirk at him and pop away to the bathroom. The tub is stunning and huge, and I think I need a bath. I smile as a bubble bath appears.
When he manages to enter the room, I feel the low growl emitting from his chest as he sees me naked in the enormous tub.
He stalks over; his clothes are gone now, and he is magnificent.
I feel his hardness against my back as he eases into the water behind me.
As I lean back into his chest, I feel his arms reach around to caress my breast before he gently pinches my nipple while I moan and rub my backside against his thick hardness.
"I love you, my Astrid," he says softly as he picks me up and slides back inside me while I face away from him, and the mate tingles are driving me over the edge as he moves in and out of me.
The feeling of my clit rubbing his balls as I rode him with my back to him sent me over the edge, and he picked me up and slammed into me again and again until we saw the heavens and the stars.
He lifts me and moves me around before plunging back inside me.
We say our specific vows together. " I am yours, and you are mine," we say as we bite each other until the bonding rope forms.
"I can feel every part of you, love," he said in wonder.
"I am the great-granddaughter of Arthur Pendragon," I say as he sits straight up.
"I am also the great-granddaughter of Niall Brigant," I continue as I notice I have his full attention.
"Is this why your home's power has called to me?" he asks as I shrug my shoulders.
"My parents rule Avalon," I explain as he plays with my long blonde hair.
"This Valhalla is a sanctuary for any supe or human needing such," I explain.
"My sister rescued her mate earlier when you found me, and if I know Arya, she is completing the bond with Lucien as we speak," I say with a giggle.
"Tomorrow, I want you to meet everyone," I say as I am filled with happiness of finally being immortal with Fenrir."
As he picks me up out of the water and carries my sleeping form to bed, I feel his arms around me and the scent of ambrosia.
Dionysus gave us some when we were young, and Mother wanted to maim him. The only thing that saved us was Father and even Uncle Jason. Pam could care less if we got our hands on the nectar of the gods.
Tomorrow will be eventful, and I tense up, which doesn't go unnoticed by Fenrir.
"Tomorrow is judgment for Fintan Brigant," I say, and he looks confused because I am a Brigant.
For the murder of my brother and attempted murder of my father." I say with simmering rage.
"Astrid, when did the angel of justice touch you?"
"Never unless she's invisible," I say as I look at him with confusion.
"We will sort it out tomorrow, love; just rest," I say as she drifts to sleep with me for the first time in eons.
Thank you, God, for bringing my love back. I pledge my life to her life and can't live without her again. I won't.
