Author's Notes: Hey everyone, glad that you liked the last chapter. As always I own nothing.

Sansa made her way north at a rate even slower than her first time. She had no ship and she had to make all of her progress on foot, an act hindered by a number of factors. For one thing the weather had become far colder and the snow came more often and lingered longer. For another, the roads were full of people fleeing the sacking of King's Landing, though where they were going to go none of them seemed to know. From these people Sansa was able to learn what had happened after she had left the city. Unfortunately, the majority of what she heard was contradictory. Some said that the Ironborn now held King's Landing, while others said that they had abandoned the city: either to the Lannisters or to the Dragon Queen. Some said that the lord of the Ironborn had burned the godswood and the Great Sept and sacrificed the septons and septas to horrific deities.

Some said that King Tommen was dead, some said that he still held the city while others said that he and the rest of the Royal Family had fled to Casterly Rock. Others said that the Dragon Queen now held the city and her dragons now dwelt in the Dragonpit, where the dragons of the Targaryens had dwelt since the reign of King Jaehaerys I. On the strength of this last rumor some people, who had grown tired of the wars which had raged since the death of King Robert, were making their way to the city to pledge their loyalty to the Queen in hope that she and her dragons could at last bring peace. This last group was of special concern to Sansa as she feared that they might bring word to the Queen of her heading north. She had not made who she was known, but she feared that some might mark her as a noblewoman and report it. She was a valuable hostage and she was sure that the Queen, or those in her service, would take measures to recover her if at all possible. Nor were these Sansa's only cause for concern.

Some of those whom she met on the road said that the Queen's Dothraki had gone wild in the wake of the battle and were attacking the columns of people fleeing to and from the city robbing, killing and more without restraint or regard to the allegiance of their victims. Sansa did not know if these rumors were true or not, but she found her heart beating faster and her eyes darting nervously about every time she heard the sound of hoof beats, nor were these the only threats. Several times she saw men looking at her in a manner similar to the way that men had looked at her during the riot at King's Landing and who would have victimized her had not the Hound come to her rescue. The Hound was long gone now, where Sansa had no idea and she was on her own now and she would not be able to use her powers on all of them if a group attacked her. In truth she had had some reluctance to use her abilities since she had touched the mind of the Ironborn lord, the memory of what had happened when she entered his mind still frightened her and so she only used her abilities to obtain food through having animals hunt for her. So instead she tried to stay near other groups of people and hoped that this would be enough to deter any would-be attackers. Several times she considered leaving the road and striking off on her own and hope to avoid meeting anyone hostile people. Ultimately she decided against it, the weather was making travel on the road difficult enough as it was, even with all the people with her to trample the snow. Where she to leave the road then her journey would become almost impossible.

Her plan was to stay on the King's Road till it reached the Neck, once there she hoped to contact House Reed and obtain their help the rest of the way to Winterfell. She still had a long way to go; however, before she reached the Neck. She would have to make her way all the way through both the Crown lands and the Riverlands, both of which were full of forces hostile to her and people who might very well turn her over to her enemies in exchange for a reward which might help them survive the winter. Thinking of winter reminded her that would cause her food supply to grow even thinner, in addition to the fact that the animals were being driven away by the large number of people moving on the road. In order to distract herself from the cold, her hunger pains and the discomfort she tried to focus on something else.

She found her mind returning again and again to the vision, or hallucination, which she had experienced on the night of the battle. She knew that it had brought on by the strange substance which the man had made her drink and at the time Sansa thought that it had only been mad visions brought on by the drink, now she was not so sure. Part of the vision had been the death of the gods of her youth and impaled upon the Iron Throne and in a sense that part of the vision had come true. The lord of the Ironborn had taken the Iron Throne apparently, at least temporarily, and had destroyed the sacred places of both the old gods and the Seven. If that part had come true, what of the rest? Would all of the vision come true in one form or another? She could remember parts of what she had seen, but not all of it and she devoted much of her days trying to remember it and considering how they could come true.

She did not like thinking of the vision, as what she could remember terrified her. Still, if it truly was the future which she had seen then she owed it to everyone: the King, Jon, her people and even to herself to find out what it held. The question facing her was how was she to learn from the vision if she could not remember what the vision had consisted of? As she thought on the matter an answer occurred to her, she did not like it, but as hard as she could she could not think of an alternative and it truly was the most logical answer that she could come up with. She would have to find a way to experience the vision again.

Author's Notes: Hey everyone, sorry that it has been so long since I last updated, I hope that you all had a good Christmas and I hope that you have a happy New Year. What did you think of this chapter? A short one I know, but important one. I am playing around with the idea of having her start taking shade of the evening: a kind of seeress, the Witch of Winterfell perhaps. What do you all think? Till next time please pray for the Indians trapped in a mine accident, Indonesia which is facing another tsunami and the family of the police officer killed in California and all who need prayer. Bye and may Jesus bless you.
