A/n: So first off I have no pc at the moment and apologize for any grammar errors.

Next I just want to say that I am not very confident in my ability to write and thus have been hesitant to even post, but this one has been nagging at the back of my brain the last year so I'm going to try and finish it. Sorry if I don't I can't promise anything just that I will post when I'm not feeling like crap!

Ch.3: Birds of a feather

"Where I came from"? Miya muttered out, brown orbs staring up at the man. Noting the serious look, lips curled into a slight scowl, she closed her eyes while taking a deep breath.

"I..My name is Miya" 'Asama' she thought bitterly. "I come from a city called Shinto Teito, in the country of Japan. She stated noting the momentary looks of confusion that passed the two observers faces.

"As for how I got here..", she paused momentarily, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves lest the feeling of loss comes back. "I..I'm not entirely sure how to answer that..." she muttered out confusion tinting her eyes.

"The last thing I remember is loosing a fight against against one of my little birds and her ashikabi , and then I was falling..." she stated knowing that it would sound as crazy as she thought it was.

"Ashi-what now" the blond boy standing to her left muttered out in confusion. Slightly turning her head to look at the boy she noted a frown on his face.

Deciding it better to continue lest she have to explain that bit of information she quickly continued speaking. "As for how I got here exactly? That I cannot answer as currently I am unsure where here even is" she stated mirth evident in her voice.

Turning her head back to stare at the white haired elder, noting the squint in his eyes, and oddly the warts on his nose she sighed "does that answer your questions"? She stated in mild annoyance not wanting to relive her failures, especially to strangers.

Sighing as he watched the young girl fidget under his gaze Jiraiya allowed what info she had given to sink in. Deciding the girl to be not much of a threat yet still a mystery he chose to use this as a training opportunity for Naruto.

"Well kid", he stated turning to lock eyes with his charge. "Using what I taught you tell me what you think, and why" he stated eyes narrowing as a look of surprise flashed across the boys face, from being spoken to.

--

Naruto had to take a moment to snap himself out of his confusion. A frown set upon his face as he glanced between Jiraiya and the strange purple haired girl.

"Well"?! Jiraiya snapped causing Naruto to twitch slightly.

"I think that she isn't a threat to us" he stated noting the lack of killing intent. "However there are too many things that don't make sense..."? Taking a moment to shift his sight back to this Miya he noticed a look of slight confusion pass her eyes only to be replaced with a flat emotionless stare.

"I've never heard of this Shinto place, nor have I ever heard of Japan before ya know" Naruto stated looking back to Jiraiya who nodded in confirmation. Looking back at Miya who now had a look of pure disbelief on her face he blushed noticing how cute she looked when she squinted like that.

Shaking his head, reminding himself to focus he taped his chin as he continued. "It's obvious that she has combat training based on her story and the way she tensed slightly when you shouted and reached barely for her waistline". Thinking back on his lessons with the pervert he sighed. "Maybe a samurai, but not a shinobi". He stated matter of factly.

"Bahahahha" he turned to see Jiraiya laughing. "Well kid not bad but that's not what I meant" he stated still snickering.

"STOP LAUGHING AT ME TUPID PERVERT"! Naruto screamed embarrassment setting in. "If that's not what you meant then what did you mean ya know"!? Turning his body fist raised in frustration at the toad sage flinching in slight pain, noting his arms still needed time to heal.

Wincing as Jiraiya reached out, patting his shoulder in a placating manner. He stared at what he heard next. "What I mean is what do you want to do with her, this is your trip after all" the sage stated to him winking slightly.

Naruto was about to responded in confusion when a chill ran down his spine. Sensing danger his head snapped towards the girl, blood leaving his face as he noted the ghostly face appearing next to her. Even scarier however was the shadow covering the girls eyes and the expressionless frown upon her face.

Shivering in fright, eyes bulging as she ground out a question.

"Will you two" she stated taking a step forward. "Please stop talking about me like I'm not Standing right here"! She spoke voice grinding out in almost a whisper.

"AHH WHAT IS THAT"!? Naruto shouted out pointing at the face as it slowly vanished. Eyes snapping back to the girl, he noted a slight smirk on her lips as she tilted her head. "Whatever do you mean"? She asked.

'now I know that's a lie' Naruto thought to himself, deciding it better for his health to drop the subject, yet feeling annoyed at the similarities to a certain silver haired Cyclopes.

"Ahaha sorry about that" Naruto blushed out realizing they all but ignored her for a good minute. "Just not really sure what to make of this ya know" he stated wincing as he failed to rub the back of his head due to his still broken arms.

"So now that you know who I am would you kindly introduce yourselves, that is proper manners after all" Miya stated eyes narrowing at the duo.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, future hokage believe it"! Naruto shouted out in excitement."and this is ero sennin" he stated with far less excitement pointing his arm towards the white haired man.

"Dammit kid the names Jiraiya great sage of mt. Mi-"

"Yeah yeah whatever old man" naruto interrupted not wanting to go through that particular experience again.

"and he's Jiraiya my teacher for our training trip" he stated looking back to the girl, blushing at the smile that now adorned her 'beautiful ' face he noted to himself.

"nice to meetcha ya know"! He stuttered out.

'he's young but also a little cute' Miya thought to herself, realizing that she was almost content to be in this situation. 'Perhaps loosing everything gives you a new outlook on life'

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well sirs" she stated body bowing at a slight angle . "I thank you for saving me, and for not abandoning me in the middle of the wilderness" she smiled out looking the young blond in the eyes 'blue like the sky' she noted

"Not a problem at all"! The sage barked out in laughter "I'd be a fool not to help a child such as you in such a situation"! He finished still giggling.

"child" ? Miya asked confused at that title. Turning to the white haired man, now noting how much taller than her he was 'odd, I know I'm short but this is crazy'

"well if your not a child then what are you a midget"? Jiraiya stated eyebrow raised at the question.

Eyebrow twitching at the jab towards her height, she chose to ignore the insult and the snickering blonde, focous if on the issue at hand. Slightly panicking she spun her head around looking for a mirror, not finding one however slight panic setting in she rushed to the canteen she saw next to the smoldering fire pit. Grabbing it in slightly shaking hands she dug a small hole and poured the water in.

Taking a deep breath she slowly leaned forward to peer into her reflection, what she saw however left her stunned

This was not the her she remembered it was...
