He had achieve human form that night and was currently fighting Filo over covers. He wasn't use to being cold, but also didn't want to turn back. So they fought for the covers even while sleeping.

Naofumi looked at them. "It'll get tiring sometimes, but they should get along... at some point."

...

As various members of the party and Liviccic and Sophia were roused from their sleep by the smell of food, they all started getting up.

"Ah, so that's your human form?" Monti said excitedly at Leon.

Leon was lean, but had defined muscles. He had long black hair as pitch as could be imagined with single straight sharp horn protruding from his forehead, just below his hairline. Two matching wings coming from his lower back, of the same color as his full form. Lastly, he still had his hauntingly bright yellow eyes. The thing that disgusted Filo though, was the fact he was just slightly taller than her.

"My my. Not one ugly duckling in the bunch." Sophia commented.

Everyone was marveling at his appearance... except one.

Filo couldn't help, but make a joke. "Ah. little Leon-chan is a bit bigger I guess."

Teal burst out laughing, "There's a slight femininity to him, but his face, jaw and overall body structure isn't girly and that horn screams 'man'. Try again sister."

"Do not insult me, shorty." Leon said while now locking eyes with Filo.

"Shorty!? You're barely taller than me!" Now that insults could be traded, the dynamic between them would be all the worse.

"Yeah and you're older. I'm going to keep being taller than you too." He turned to the side and held his head high.

That was it. That arrogant way that all dragons acted like. Filo was about to go off.

"Enough, both of you." Surprisingly, it was Monti that said that, not Naofumi.

"Filo. You've been making snide remarks for days while he couldn't talk back, don't blow up after he says one thing back. Leon. Don't hold yourself higher than anyone else in the family. You're brother and sister, act like it."

Across the large room, Naofumi and Raphtalia shared an approving smile.

"Fi-fine..." Filo gave up, for now.

"Sorry, brother." Leon seemed sorry enough.

In truth, Leon had a high opinion of his big brother. It was Monti who protected him during his weak stages and Leon could see Monti held more say so in the family than the other kids. He found it hard to be prideful with him around.

As they all sat down for some breakfast, Naofumi and Liviccic continued their conversation from yesterday.

"So how'd you turn the zombies into skeletons and why? Are they stronger?" Naofumi asked

"Ah, well Zombies have a lot more Hp, but skeleton's have more speed. As to how I did it, Sophia did."

"Yeah, I normally eat by turning my prey into a meat smoothy, but bones stay perfectly fine. I'd give this little boy my scraps and he'd make skeletons from them..., but this food here is leagues better! Seriously, visit often!"

"Wow that makes you two a good duo team, huh? You complement each other nicely." Raphtalia commented

"Oh, see? People are already approving of us as a couple. Doesn't that make you happy little boy~?"

"Stop." Was all Liviccic said.

The conversation took several turns before it was back on magic.

"I can't imagine learning magic from scratch. It must be near impossible... How many spells do you know?" Teal asked Liviccic.

"I have 6 current spells; That smokey ball I never hit you guys with is called [Vile], that [Banshee's Wail] I use on you causes pain for about 30 seconds, if they scream out in pain, it does high damage to them... sorry, those [Seeking Skulls]... Sorry again, then there's [Revive] which is the thing I use to raise undead, I use [Corrupt] to add curses to items, and [Rancor] which I was about to use at the end. I'm kinda stuck now though."

"Still, that's impressive." Raphtalia encouraged him.

"Thanks, but I'd need to kill the king to learn any more, haha." He said it in a light-hearted way, but no one was laughing.

"What do you mean?" Naofumi asked slightly serious.

"Oh... Sorry. I guess you don't know that either. You see those vassal weapons Sophia told you about yesterday? Well the king has one, he's the vassal cane hero... though he doesn't get off his ass to fight any waves with it."

Naofumi responded "Never would of guessed... How does getting that staff help you?"

Sophia answered in his stead, "Each weapon has it's own way to increase the strength of it's wielder. Some aren't well known or written anywhere, but I know the whip and cane's strengthening methods. To the boy's point, the cane allows you to level up spells and skills themselves in some manner I don't know all the details on. Once they are high enough, the user will automatically learn at least one new spell. Essentially he could unlock all the secrets to his magic by simply casting his spells often in battle."

"And only the cane can do that? level up skills?" Raphtalia inquired.

"As far as I am aware... and the only way I'm aware of someone becoming the new vassal hero, is for the old one to have died. That's the meaning behind the boy's poor joke."

Liviccic shot her a glance and she smiled back.

"...How does the vassal whip hero get stronger?" Leon asked. He was of course interested in strength.

"Ah, That one is kinda annoying. The whip can allow the user or those of their choosing to loose their levels in exchange for increasing their base stats and growth rates. There was also a few examples of those affected gaining entirely new abilities from it... resetting your level obviously leaves you vunerable... That's how my hero died. He knew the risks, but thought having loyal monsters of higher level to help him re-level was a good enough solution... It was not."

Sophia didn't seem upset or sad, but a little disappointment was evident. Liviccic placed a hand on her back, she stopped making that face and continued.

"Um, right. No idea who the current whip hero is now... Any other questions?"

Noone wanted to ask her anything else, thinking they may upset. Filo however was able to know she didn't care all that much and asked away.

"You had all those cool webs yesterday, what can they do?"

Sophia smirked, "My eight threads? Well; [Sticky Thread] is like normal webs, just way stickier, [Stretchy Thread] is elastic, [Collapsing Thread] is a web that can only be activated after something is stuck to both ends. The rest of the web rapidly collapses in on itself, bringing to the two stuck things together at blinding speeds. [Steel Thread] is used to cut things or strengthen another type of thread. I can place [Tracking Thread] on things, those threads are intangible, stretch endlessly and can only be seen by those with three eyes or more. I can set up [Triggering Thread] to trigger a spell when tripped, like the binding you guys dealt with after the door. I can use [Puppeteering Thread] to control objects, but it's still kinda hard to control too many things and If they're even half my strength it's not guaranteed to work. And lastly, I can use [Healing Thread] to stitch up and mend people. It also has a way slower effect on broken objects."

"...That's a lot" Is all Filo said.

The others were similarly impressed. After a bit more talking, everyone began getting themselves ready to leave. As everyone got their things together and they beginning to leave, a thought entered Naofumi's head.

"Hey... I have an offer if you're interested?" Naofumi began

Liviccic turned back a moment, "Hm? What is it?"

"...Well, it's just that the waves are a big deal and you guys are just as stong as us, so... You want to join my party? I get you are doing your own thing, but if you're in my party then you can teleport with us and we can communicate instantly via a shield I have if we are in a party..." Naofumi turned around and approached him a bit.

"...Hey, why not? And if there's anymore undead coming with this wave like last time, it'll be a bonus" Liviccic offered his hand.

"Glad to hear it" Naofumi said with a genuine smile as he shook his hand.

Opaltown courtyard

...

Lord Wagner and his son Eadwig were walking up and down rows of men looking at each of them with entirely too much scrutiny.

"How many mercenaries do you plan to hire father? And are these men even worth the silver?"

"Ha, as many as I can. Each man here is worth their price. As a warrior I can tell if a man will make me work for the kill. These men would."

"... Really?" Eadwig sounded unsure.

Eadwig looked over the courtyard and something caught his eye. He walked up to a man.

"What of this one? He's only level 11 according to the paperwork and at his age? At his age he should be at least level 20 as a mercenary. He couldn't be worth more than 10 silver."

The man in question was the former bandit boss that Raphtalia beat. He responded to the young noblemen's question in lue of his father.

"I reset my level not too long ago, class upgraded early. 11 in this short time is all I could manage for now. I've been an active combatant for years... and he didn't pay me upfront, he only promised me a free class upgrade after I reach level 40 from killing the enemy. He told me I get paid by the head... Sir."

Eadwig was not expecting a response from him, but the answer was more than satisfactory.

"...I retract my earlier complaint father. When assigning these men, give me this one."

Lord Wagner bellowed in laughter, "Whaha, I told you I can pick them. It's in the eyes son, not their level. A fighter's eye can tell you all you need to know... He's yours, but he'd be better in commanding role more than on the ground at the moment."

All three men involved all seemed satisfied

Lord Wagner and his son kept reviewing their newest troops for the coming coup with renewed interest.

...

Back with the party.

...

The party was back on the road making their way to the capital to begin preparing for the wave. Most of the roles hadn't changed, but the was one major one.

Leon was the one scouting as he could fly. It annoyed Monti a bit, but he understood. The weird thing to Naofumi and Raphtalia was that Leon wasn't as large as Gaelion...yet. Unlike the other kids who seemed to reach full maturity once they achieved human form, Leon's dragon form was still growing. They chalked it up to the fact dragons took a really long time to grow up. Naofumi's shield must help it, but it'll still take some time. Possibly the wave after this coming one before he would be full size.

Naofumi was working on accessories instead of medicine. He'd been only able to halfway make the parties accessories up to this point and wanted more practice before imbuing them with magic. With a ridiculously amount of emeralds he just mined, he started working on some accessories. Saying he'd sell them and he would, but more to practice. He wanted the gifts to turn out nice.

Monti couldn't scout and no longer had an egg to watch. He felt useless, which was an awful feeling to him. He started taking advantage of the fact that the cart was made of wood, an insulator. He started practicing moving the electricity inside his body. He wondered how hard it really would be to have the lightning run through multiple bodies.

And lastly, Teal was focusing on producing herbs. Even if Naofumi wasn't making medicine now, he obviously would later... And if she sold some of it to make some coin to then pay Leon into annoying Filo in certian ways as part of her master plan to get them to stop hating each other, then that's great too.

They made good time despite the lengthy detour that happened the day before. They were taking their midday break under the shade of some nearby trees.

Raphtalia was teaching Leon how to read. After hearing how much easier learning magic was by reading, he was all gunge-ho about learning to read. Raphtalia was more than willing, she'd done little with their newest addition to the family as of yet. While she braced herself for Leon to be a bit thick-headed, he was surprisingly quick at picking it up. Not as fast as Teal or Naofumi were, but faster than she expected.

Naofumi started cooking their lunch. Family vote wanted something other than soup or stew, they had a lot of that recently. He asked for volunteers to hunt for some meat and Monti and Filo jumped at the opportunity.

While they left to hunt, Teal was messing around with some local trees. She was wanting to make new flavors for new fruits, like what her father did for Lerno Village. She could not modify foreign plant-life nor even her own plant-life after it was detached from her. So she was using the seeds from the trees to see what a tall tree seed looked like. From there she did her best to replicate it, then tweak it.

As Monti and Filo went to leave towards an open field, they stopped and Filo spoke.

"Um... Dad?" Filo asked while pointing.

Naofumi looked up into the field they were next to. There were a dozen or more filolials of several colors, all gathered around one spot for some reason.

"Do you want to play with them instead? I'm sure Monti can handle the hunting." Naofumi offered. Maybe filolials liked playing together?

"Huh? No... I just imagine they'd be pretty tasty. If I caught some would you cook them up for me?"

Naofumi was struck dumb for a moment.

"Filo! That's cannibalism! The hell!?"

The wild filolials looked in the direction of the noise and seemed to stare at Filo for a brief moment, then bolted. Scattering in most directions.

Filo was mad that they got away, but something was left behind. It was a blue haired girl with a matching blue dress.

Filo exclaimed in excitement and started wondering over to the girl. Naofumi and Monti soon after.

"S-so big..." The girl looked at Filo with excitement.

"Oh." She quickly looked through the small bag she had with her and pulled out a piece of dried meat.

"H-here." She held it out with anticipation

Filo grabbed it with her beak and scarfed it down right away.

"Hmm~ That's pretty good." It wasn't a giant roasted bird like she wanted, but it was something.

"Y-you... You can talk... You can talk!" Melty had met it. The filolial that could talk that her mother mentioned. She felt getting stuck here was actually a great opportunity.

The excitement the girl had at Filo talking had her a bit confused as she tilted her head to one side. Monti whispered something to Naofumi and he left the scene.

"I've always wanted to talk to a filolial!" The girl exclaimed again. touching her feathers lightly.

Naofumi hadn't said anything yet, he was observing. This was a human girl and her outfit was finely made too. "Why was she out here?"

He saw how happy and nice she was being to Filo...

"Hmm... Do you have a name?" The girl asked.

"Yeah yeah, Filo is Filo Iwatani"

Naofumi thought this might be the first time she used his last name, but then again, no one ever stopped and asked her before.

"Filo-chan. That's such a great name!" The girl seemed genuine enough.

Naofumi allowed the tiniest bit of pride. "And I came up with it."

Filo was matching this little girl's energy and excitability, "And what's your name?"

"Ah, Melty." She placed a hand on her chest when she said so. Naofumi definitely pegged her as a noble.

"Then Mel-chan" Filo said happily and Melty seemed very please at having received a nickname so soon from her new friend.

After a moment, Filo turned to Naofumi.

"Um, dad. I know I already said I'd hunt..." Filo knew there was a nice way to ask for stuff, but she didn't know it.

"It's fine, your brother is already on it. Have fun with your new friend here, but food will be ready in about an hour." Naofumi waved her off.

Melty gave a slight curtsy to Naofumi before Filo transformed into her human form and grabbed Melty. The two running off in full laughter.

As Naofumi went back to his grill, Raphtalia stopped with Leon to ask.

"Is that okay?"

"It's fine. Filo is strong and she found her first friend. Those are important."

There were nods of agreement before everyone returned to their tasks.

Melromarc Embassy in Faubrey

...

The queen had just returned to yet another meeting. Her life was already structured to death, but the last two months have been the worst of her life. Even as she shut her door, she was allowed not pause.

"Report." Was all she said.

The next moment the shadow appeared in front of her bowing.

"We've yet to locate the shield hero, but we are aware of where he heading and will be catching up to him right about now."

"That's it?" The queen was a little disappointed. It seemed fair, but she expected more for some reason.

"No. Unrelated to my mission, a fellow shadow intercepted a message from Windingbrook. Written and sealed by the lord himself."

"I thought I told you shadows I wanted copies of their messages, but to let them continue their delivery? That they don't think I know what they're doing is a huge advantage I don't want to lose."

"You did my queen. This, however is addressed to you." They then handed her the letter, seal unbroken.

The queen took the letter and began reading through it.

"This here... Is an absolute stroke of luck." The queen said with a bit of excitement

"I'm pleased that you are pleased my queen." The shadow lacked context to say more.

"He has given me quite a bit of info on the pope and their plans. Some I already know so I can tell he isn't lying... He seems to have thrown in with their lot in word alone. He plans to find a good spot to stab them in the back... I must entertain this as a lie though."

"But if it were a lie..." The shadow started.

"Then they know that I know and everything in here is to lure me into a position of weakness. I'm inclined to believe him though, due to other reasons..."

She looked to her shadow.

"He mentions the shield hero. Says that he save the lives of two of his sons and lost the third. I'd say it's true, our own tracking of the heroes movements lead you through Windingbrook, no?"

"Yes my queen."

"I never wanted to imagine Aldrick would betray us, but he also requests to step down as an advisor... I believe my husband nearly drove him to betrayal. No. Had the church not also wanted the shield hero dead, he'd of likely betrayed us. This is his way of saying 'After this I want nothing to do with you'."

The queen seemed sad as she said it.

"He will not raise steel against us, but he will also never raise steel alongside us again either... Dammit. He's given up on the idea of Melromarc then?"

"Maybe you are overthinking this. Lord Wymarc just lost a child and wasn't there. Maybe he just wants to focus on his remaining family?" The shadow tried to think of a reason for her not to be upset.

"While possible, he could of said something later about stepping down as advisor... This is him letting me know where he stands. While not against me, he is an ally in name only."

There was a pause.

"But at least this is a noblemen who has decided to help the shield hero. That may help in a number of ways... Dismissed."

The shadow disappeared and the queen reread the letter several times.

"It isn't just Malty. My husband is also no longer fit to rule. Aldrick was so loyal and for so long... I've seemed to have spent it all without realizing. I am sorry Aldrick."

...

An hour later

...

Filo came barreling back into the family's campsite with Melty riding her. As soon as they were close enough, Filo transformed into human form and caught Melty still in motion. The two of them having to fight between laughing and breathing.

With Filo's return, they'd start eating. Raphtalia and Leon stopped their read lessons and Teal brought a few weird fruits for taste testing. Monti went to check on Filo and Melty, while Naofumi began making plates.

"You had a good time, huh?" Monti asked with a smirk.

"Yeah. Sorry about not helping you hunt." Filo meant it, but she didn't regret the fun she just had.

"Don't worry about it. I got quite a bit though, so you can probably have seconds and thirds." He said holding his head high.

Melty began actually looking at Monti with a critical eye and she was confused at the sight.

"You didn't use your tail did you? Now that your poison levels with you, you'd make the food yucky if you did." Filo said.

"Nah. Just because I can't use my wings right now doesn't mean I have to rely on poison. I still have lightning magic after all."

Filo sighed, "When is big brother gonna learn he can just catch things normal like. You know you're like super strong, right? Just use you claws."

"... I'd prefer if I didn't." Monti felt tearing into something with his claws and relying on strength was what a beast would do. He didn't want to be seen that way.

"Oi!" Naofumi yelled to the trio.

"Little girl. You seem to be by yourself out here. You wanna plate?"

Melty left Filo's arms and stood as tall as she could before bowing.

"I would be ever so grateful sir."

Naofumi was liking this girl. Maybe her manners would rub off on Filo. While she was leagues better than she was at the beginning, she was far from well mannered.

As Melty took a bite of her meal, she had to try not to drop the plate. She had all the best foods from around the world. While her mother didn't spoil her, she had amazing food all the time... And yet this simple meal was probably the best thing she'd ever ate.

As the family ate and Raphtalia asked Filo about her fun and Naofumi asked Leon about his studies, Melty was quietly observing them all.

"The one's playing the role of parents are a human and demi human couple? That's rare here."

"That Leon kid. He has wings and a single strong looking black horn on his head. Hmm."

"Filo's 'big brother' had a scorpion tail, bat-like wings, and cat ears... and his eyes were creepy. What even is he? I have no idea."

"The last one, called Teal by Filo during their conversation wasn't even a mammal. And her eye were just as frightening as Monti's. How does a plant even talk?"

Naofumi saw her looking around at them, not talking. He attributed it to her eating with strangers.

Near the end of the meal, there was a slight issue. A single piece of meat remained and both Filo and Leon wanted it. Leon moved for it first, but Filo had speed. They both sank their forks into the meat and lightly pulled at it.

"Let go. It's mine." Filo had a more serious face and tone than normal.

"You don't need it. How much have you already eaten?" Leon refused to look at her.

"Why is it my fault that you're slow?" Filo was being childish

"...Grr, you fatty!" And Leon was being childish with her.

"Enough!" Naofumi said firmly.

Raphtalia took a knife and cut the piece in half. "There. Now finish your food. We need to hit the road soon."

The two took their piece. Their fight was postponed as far as they were concerned, but not canceled.

Everyone started to wash their plates then store them back in the cart as they began to ready themselves for the second half of the days travel.

Melty quietly approached Naofumi, her hands low and holding each other.

"Sir. I thank you for the food, you are most generous"

"Yup, Filo could learn a lot."

He turned to her and got on one knee to see her more eye to eye. His kids seemed to prefer that.

"I assume you are lost?"

"In a manner of speaking. I was on my way back to the capital... I may have wondered away from my escort to play with some filolials."

"Heh, so still very much a kid despite the manners."

"If you're asking for a ride, then we can work something out. We're heading towards the capital too."

She was relieved and pleasantly surprised.

"I thank you. If you don't mind me asking, why are you going to the capital?"

Naofumi often lowered his guard around children, but sometimes he still had some caution.

"I'm actually an apothecary, a rather famous one recently. I need to hit the capital before the wave."

"Wait. Famous apothecary, and Filo-chan. You're the savior of the heavenly fowl! My mother has told me a little about you, and she isn't easily impressed."

"So I guess I wasn't blowing smoke when I said 'famous', huh?"

"Yow!" Leon yelped.

Naofumi looked back to the cart to see if Filo and Leon were fighting again, but it was Monti next to a transformed Leon.

"Monti. What's going on?" Raphtalia was already on it.

"I thought you said you'd keep it down..." Monti complained

"Well?" Raphtalia asked, hands on her hips.

"Um, so y'know that ability I have, right?" Monti asked nervously

Raphtalia walked over to Leon and checked the spot he was holding. A scale was missing and he was bleeding just a little.

"Monti. Remember the last time you did this and Filo beat you up?" Raphtalia expected better from Monti.

"But I asked him first, it wasn't suppose to hurt that much... Sorry Leon."

"What's Leon being a crybaby about?" Filo joined the conversation

"Monti pulled one of Leon's scales, like he did your feather." Naofumi said walking up with Melty.

Melty was sitting there amazed to see a dragon and a pure one from the looks of it.

Filo's mood switched on a dime.

"Stop doing that! I bet it hurt an whole lot! Big brother is a bully!"

Monti was a little amused, "Oh? But I thought you didn't like leo-"

"I never said I didn't like him! I just... get mad at him easily... And I'm the only one allowed to bully him. No more bullying him. I don't need another super serious sibling."

Monti was hurt, "But I-He said I could, it's totally different and I'm not always serious."

Suddenly Teal joined the conversation

"Name one time you've done anything fun without Filo forcing you." Teal demanded, arms crossed.

"Um, well... No, I'm not boring... Am I?" Monti was holding his head, trying to think of something. If he didn't then he'd look lame right in front of Leon. He really wanted to be a cool older brother for Leon, he couldn't lose.

"...Oh! I took mom for a few flights for fun while everyone else was away! She just said... not to... tell anyone... crap."

Raphtalia looked embarrassed and the family had a laugh at that. Leon turned back into human form, shocking Melty again.

"Can they all transform!? I wonder what Monti and Teal turn into." Melty thought

Naofumi got the family moving again.

"We need to get going. We also have Melty riding with us until we reach the capital. So that means no rough housing."

The party plus Melty traveled for 6 more hours. Naofumi was now teaching Leon how to read from where Raphtalia left off as they rode.

Melty and Teal had a few conversations, nothing awful. Everyone waited to see if Teal tried corrupting the girl. They'd hope not.

...

Later that evening

...

After stopping for the night and even a bit before, Leon started trying to read the grimoires the party had. He was told he'd not be able to read them or not use the spells, but he seemed interested enough in them that they let him have at it. Maybe he shared a affinity with someone else and wasn't fire as they assumed.

Alongside dinner that night was Teal's next attempt at a new fruit based on the family's input. They agreed it was close to another unique flavor, but still reminded them of other flavors vaguely.

At Dinner that night, Melty just asked the question that was on her mind. Instead of asking Naofumi, she asked Monti directly. Naofumi was nearby, but didn't hear the question.

"If you don't mind me asking, what are you? Can you transform Like Filo-chan and Leon?"

Melty asked it in a light and excited tone, but Monti immediately looked apprehensive. Melty picked up on this.

"...I don't want to lie to you, but I also don't want you to hate me. Filo and you seem to like each other and I don't want to cause any problems... So I guess my answer is that I refuse to answer... Sorry."

He looked a little ashamed of himself and Melty felt she caused it with that question.

"No, I'm sorry. I guess that was out of line..."

After dinner the family prepared for bed. Not having enough bedrolls, Filo and Leon slept in their full form so Melty could have a blanket and pillow.

The family fell asleep one by one.

...

In the middle of the night

...

Raphtalia shook Naofumi lightly awake.

"Hmm, morning already?" He hadn't opened his eyes.

"No... I don't see Melty anywhere." She said quietly

Naofumi shook his sleep off as best he could, then looked around. He found her clothes lying next to Flio. Her blanket and pillow seemed to be confiscated by Leon who was wrapped up tight in the sheets. No room for anyone else.

His [Minimap] told him two people were where Filo was.

"It says Filo is two people..." Naofumi said, still confused and tired.

"You don't think she ate her, do you?" Raphtalia asked doubtfully.

"...She did want to eat her own kind earlier today."

"..."

"We need to keep our story straight. If guards ask, we never saw her, okay?"

"Naofumi-sama!" Raphtalia yelled in disbelief.

Filo roused a bit by the noise.

"mmhmm, why loud noises..."

"Filo. Where is Melty?" Raphtalia asked hopefully.

"hmhhmm" She ruffled her feathers and brought Melty head to the surface of her feathers.

"W-what?" Melty asked accompanied by a yawn.

"Why on earth are you in there? Naked!?" Raphtalia asked loudly, stirring the rest of the kids.

"Soft, softest soft. Clothes got *yawn* in the way." She then wormed her way deeper again.

Raphtalia touched Filo's feathers and like a tempting spell she was pulled deeper and deeper inside, until her head was nearly consumed.

"Well shit, I'm game" Naofumi did the same and sure enough, it was almost too soft to be real. He fell asleep next to Raphtalia half inside Filo.

After him, Monti and Teal also started sneaking their way over and got in on this supposed 'Softest soft' sleeping arrangement. Even Teal felt sleep come for her and she only recently gave her body that function and even then, it was suppose to be a switch she conciously pulled.

She looked up one last time. She saw Leon systematically grabbing all the blankets, sheets and pillows to wrap himself in. He apparently needed a lot of heat to sleep right.

"Just give in and experience this." Teal offered.

"Never. I don't need anything from Filo." He said as if he was somehow independent and not holding everyone's bedding in his hands.

Teal just rolled her eyes. "Suit yourself."

Leon set up his pillow fort of toasty warmness and he liked it.

Liviccic and Sophia are on board for the waves. With so much more help, maybe Glass wont curbstomp them as badly?

Enter Melty. Hopefully more kids means she gets to be more of a kid.

More Filo Leon spatting, but it's not too bad.
