"I'm sorry, Rifana! I'm sorry it took me this long to come back for you!" She wailed.

The family wept for Raphtalia's pain.

The other slaves and Ake wept for the death of a young girl.

Melty and Eclair wept for the guilt they felt, their failures led to this tragedy.

...

They all wanted to stay longer, but could not. Raphtalia began gathering Rifana's bones, she needed to bury her. Melty waited a moment, then moved to help. Raphtalia caught a glimpse of Melty's face. She was beyond devastated.

Was it mean of her to be happy for that? To be happy the future ruler was affected by this moment so greatly?

Raphtalia placed the last piece into the bag and stood. She had been fighting her emotions in all kinds of ways the whole night. She wasn't as open and vocal as she otherwise was and it concerned everyone. Never-the-less, they kept faith with her and left it to her to complete this important task. They never questioned her attitude or abruptness.

"Thank you, all of you." She said, once again in her old voice, her normal voice.

They began to climb the stairs. Being behind Teal, Leon noticed something.

"Teal, why do you smell so much?" Leon asked.

"I don't stink!" Teal snapped back.

"I never said it was bad, but there's a lot more of it than normal." Leon put his hands up.

"I was only fighting off the smell..." Teal said in a low voice.

"Hmm, no. That's a l-" Filo went to correct her.

Teal placed her hand over Filo's mouth. "Remember what Sophia said, stop." Teal said.

Monti leaned in and placed a hand under his chin. "Hmm..."

"T-There's nothing here to analyze. Drop it." Teal demanded.

The kids looked at Teal, then to Keel, then back again.

"..."

RUMBLE!

It felt like a small earthquake was happening, pulling everyone from their petty conversations. They all ran up the stairs carrying those that could not run.

"Tear... them...apart-t..."

"He's still alive!?" Monti yelled.

Idol had turned himself over and crawled to the monument near the center of the courtyard. Saying strange things while holding up his three heroes rosary. A few soldiers had made it through the treeline and were next to Idol, trying to assist him, but he refused them.

"Lord Rabier, you need to let us help you. You will die otherwise." One soldier pleaded.

"Die... me...? No! A d-damned d-demi-human will *Gak* not kill me..." Idol said, vomiting blood.

The monument began to shake.

Raphtalia threw one last knife with everything she had at him. One soldier tried to intercept the attack, but was too slow. The knife struck Idol in the side of the head and he fell down from the force. With his last fleeting moments of life, he looked towards his killer.

"I really was killed by her... By some girl I used to whip... My only solace... is knowing Vera will defiantly put a collar on you. You'll serve at the foot of his bed until the day you d-" Idol's thoughts were cut short, he was no more.

The magic around the monument weakened, but did not vanish.

The soldiers outside the wall became much louder, they were fighting something themselves.

"Lord Reichnott's men" Eclair guessed aloud.

"Those without a rescue, help Van's men." Naofumi ordered.

Monti transformed and leapt up into a glide, eyeing the situation. Van's men had arrived. They took Idol's men from behind after they exhausted themselves on trying to chop down the trees with their swords. They were bombarded with weak spells, then rushed. Between the surprise attack, the exhaustion, the cheap shots, the many that were already beaten by Naofumi's party and now, not being able to escape... They were screwed.

Monti still wanted to try something while he had the chance.

[Chain Lightning]

The bolt launched from him to another, to another and so on. It spread to roughly 20 people before it tapered off. It still wasn't finished, but the early version was solid. The lightning would damage the target, then use the target's own resources to perpetuate it. It was far too sophisticated a spell for Monti to cast as he was currently.

Monti saw Van and came down next to him.

"We have five slaves that need help." Monti informed him.

"Then as soon as we have them, we will retreat." Van replied.

Van was not informed about Monti's form and his own men scattered when he came down, but somehow Van immediately knew who he was.

Monti conveyed the information to the others and went back to the other side.

Crack

The slaves reluctantly climbed onto Monti's back one-by-one.

Crack

Teal was just about to help Keel onto Monti's back but-

Crack

Shatter

The monument was destroyed as whatever Idol started was enough to see it through. Now there was a large monster standing at the center of town. It was nearly three times bigger than Leon was currently. It dwarfed over all walls and everyone could see. It looked like a Tyrannosaurus Rex with metal and spikes adorning it. In an instant, all fighting between people ceased. Idol's men and Van's men collectively turned their attention to this new threat. Something so large could destroy the whole city.

The beast looked around a moment at the city. Strange stone walls filled with lights, it briefly thought that these were meant to hold him. The beast swung its tail around, tearing things apart. Naofumi and the others began to flee.

Leon transformed for everyone to climb on. This turned out to be a mistake, as the seemingly brainless creature turned its attention to Leon. They made it over the wall and began to hand off the slaves, only to see the beast charging directly at them.

Everyone scattered. There was no organization, the two military groups became mixed, Naofumi's party scattered as well, Monti and Leon flew back a bit. There was a pause as the beast searched. It began to breathe fire, destroying even more.

Raphtalia lost hold of the bag that contained Rifana's bones and they scattered across the ground. Seeing this, Melty wrestled herself out of Eclair's grip and ran to the bag. She was trying to gather all the bones as the many confused soldiers trampled her unknowingly.

"Princess, we must move! I'm sure Raphtalia will understand. We must remain alive." Eclair pleaded.

"I am not leaving her here! Help or leave!" Melty roared.

"..." Eclair paused a moment before going to her knees and helping gather the bones.

Raphtalia got turned around in the stampede of soldiers and couldn't see where she dropped Rifana's remains. She searched a moment before her eye rested on the escaped slaves needing help... With a moment of reluctance, Raphtalia acted to help them instead.

"Don't worry about the fire here! Focus on not allowing the beast or the fire into the residential area!" Van yelled.

His men did as he ordered. Idol's men didn't know what to do at first, but protecting the residents seemed like the right idea. They reluctantly followed those same orders. The beast finally caught sight of Leon and shot fire at him. Monti and Leon flew away from one another. The fire trail was clearly aiming for Leon, Naofumi saw this.

"Does it see Leon as a threat because he's the closest thing to its size?" He thought.

Monti and Leon continued their separation until the dinosaur was between them. It followed Leon, meaning its back was to Monti. Monti went to attack, only to be stopped by Naofumi.

"Don't fight him in the city! It'll cause too many deaths!" Naofumi yelled.

Leon remained higher in the air. When the monster breathed fire and Leon dodged upward, there would be no damage to the town like this.

Van and a few choice guards began receiving the slaves. Naofumi gave them medicine and healing, but they needed to leave immediately. Keel was less than agreeable. He didn't want to leave.

"Raphtalia, tell them to stop! I can fight!" Keel said, struggling to separate from Teal.

"...No you can't... I just got you back, I don't want to lose you." Raphtalia said, taking his hand.

"That's why I can't leave! You're all I have left from before! Raphtalia, I need to protect y-" Keel was crying.

"No. I defeated Idol in single combat. I fight alongside the shield hero. I don't need protection, you do." Raphtalia made it clear.

"The shield hero...? You." Keel looked at Naofumi.

"Yes, Naofumi-sama is the shield hero. I fight alongside him with our four children, who are all very strong. So you don't have to-"

"Four children!? I'll kick your ass!" Keel said, turning to Naofumi.

"Careful, Keel. If you attempt to hurt father, mother will give you a beating, friend or not." Teal warned.

"..." Having realized that Teal was one of 'their children', and the obvious, he calmed down.

"..." While they still held hands, Raphtalia took her bracelet and slid it down her arm and onto Keel's arm.

"Take this, Keel. I don't want to let you go and neither do you, but we need to. I need to beat this monster and you need to survive. So hold this until we can meet again." Raphtalia offered.

"...Okay." Keel stopped arguing.

Teal helped Keel over to Van's men, "Careful, Keel's way more hurt than he acts."

Keel turned away in embarrassment. Melty and Eclair came up to them, with Melty holding the bag with Rifana's remains.

"You found them?" Raphtalia was overly grateful.

Melty nodded and handed the remains to Keel. "Please take her with you..." Melty offered.

"..." Wordlessly, Keel accepted. He had too many reasons to leave now. He exchanged a final look with Raphtalia.

"Ah, look!" Filo pointed.

The party looked to what Filo was pointing at. They saw that a small light was glowing in Leon's stomach and a similar glow came from this thing's chest.

"Is that...?" Naofumi put it together quickly.

The dragon emperor shard inside Leon that came from Gaelion was reacting to likely a second shard inside this..., "What was it exactly?" Naofumi used [Inspect].

[Name: Tyrant Rex]

[Lv: ?]

[Unable to display further info due to level gap]

"Of fucking course! Everything is always miles above us!" Naofumi thought.

Monti flew down and landed next to the others. "Dad, what do we do?"

"...It seems to want Leon. Probably wants the rock he ate. He has the same glow himself... We run. We use Leon as bait and take it somewhere isolated. We can figure something out then, but every second it remains here, more people will die."

Everyone agreed. They had to say goodbye to Keel, as the party made their way to a nearby roof. Naofumi informed Leon to pick them up and to then bait the dinosaur. They all stood ready. Eclair was about to suggest that Melty should join the others, but Melty said something first.

"Where is Ake? I haven't seen him since the monster awakened."

Naofumi checked his menu, still alive, above 75% Hp. He called him.

"Oi, Ake. What's going on?"

"S-sorry. Melty's shadow needed help." He revealed.

The shadow slipped everyone's mind.

"With what?" Melty asked.

"There was a shadow here from the church. Your shadow tracked them down and kept them from fleeing, but she needed help... finishing him off." Ake admitted.

Naofumi and the others leapt onto Leon's back from the rooftop as he flew low. They began leaving the city.

"Nothing against the kid, but Ake isn't exact going to be useful against this thing." Naofumi thought as they flew further away from him and the shadow. "But he can be useful in other ways." Naofumi had an idea.

"Ake, we are baiting this thing away from the city. I need you to do something. Only you can do it." Naofumi framed it that way to avoid arguing.

"Name it, shield hero, sir."

"...I need you to tell that shadow that she's likely not catching up with us, riding on Leon and all. I need you to convince her to take you to the queen. If you can meet her, then I can speak with her through you and we can coordinate our attacks. It's very important."

"I will not rest until I've spoken to her! I promise!" Ake declared.

"Ake does have that cute ignorance to him, hmm?" Teal thought aloud.

"Oh? Based on what happened earlier, I could have sworn you like K-" Leon had a good guess.

"Not another word." Teal warned.

Leon stopped talking. Not because he was scared of Teal, which he was, but because he needed to focus while he flew from the beast. Unlike normal, he could not fly at top speed, nor could he fly in a straight line. He had to travel slow enough for the dinosaur to follow him, and he needed to make sure that as few buildings and people were between them as possible.

There was no perfect path and the monster did tear through multiple buildings, but Leon did his best.

"...I'm sorry I gave away your gift, Naofumi-sama." Raphtalia said, her head turned away.

"It's fine. I gave it to you. It was yours to do with as you want... Besides, I'll just make you something even better later." Naofumi said.

"...Thank you..., but please avoid that shape now. I no longer need any form of reminder." Raphtalia said, referring to not needing a shackle.

"Good. Then the next time it'll be something a bit different... Maybe a ring?" Naofumi thought.

Once they were flying over a forest, they began to consider their options. When to touch down, where...

"There! That'll give us the space we need!" Naofumi said while pointing to a large clearing next to a river.

Naofumi took the time to use [Anoint] on everyone. Monti and Filo gained speed, Leon and Eclair gained attack, Teal gained magic, Melty gained defense and Raphtalia still had magic defense. It was a mixed bag, but every little bit helped. He drank an SP potion right before they touched down. They all quickly dismounted.

"Leon, keep a distance. Everyone else, attack when able, but remain cautious." Naofumi warned.

The dinosaur finished barreling into the clearing, but didn't stop. The party went to scatter, but Naofumi went to block it.

[Air Strike Shield] [Second Shield] [Parry]

The magical barrier stopped the beast as its open mouth came to a stop against the skill. After the second, [Parry] wore off and the [Air Strike Shield] began to crack, then shatter. Monti wrapped his tail around Naofumi and leapt away, while Filo did her best to kick the tyrant's head off course. The monster's head did move, but not by much.

"[Parry] stops it... I'll need to rely on that a lot. Filo didn't move the thing much, but she wasn't using all her abilities with that strike... Maybe we can really take this thing down?" Naofumi was reasoning to himself.

Raphtalia, Teal, and Eclair began running towards its feet. Monti with Naofumi riding him and Leon flew in a circle around it. Melty rode Filo as Filo raced at the monster. Filo was the last to move but the first to reach the monster.

"Hold on tight, Mel-chan!" Filo suggested as she used [High Quick], then [Wind Walk], and finally [Blowback] to strike the monster head upward. The combination of skills combined with her current speed buff knocked the dino's head quite a bit..., but it dealt no damage.

With it still recoiling from Filo's attack, Monti and Leon tried ranged magic to see if maybe one of their elements or magic would be more effective.

[Fast Fireball]

[Fast Bolt]

Neither did a thing.

"You guys have to use stronger spells than that!" Naofumi complained.

Raphtalia reached her target and ran past its legs, using all of her speed and strength into a passing strike.

Clang!

Sparks flew from her sword as she dragged it across the length of its ankle. It felt like she was running a wooden stick across a rock. She'd never draw blood, is what she thought. Teal and Eclair reached the beast just after her. Eclair mimicked Raphtalia's motion on the other side, also seeing sparks, not blood. Teal made her arm larger and attempted to stab into the dino's flesh, but she only managed to snap her sword like the leaf it was.

The Tyrant Rex may not have felt pain from those attempts, but it was aware of them. It stomped the ground with its foot, causing the stone and earth to rise and fall, the vibrations knocked both Raphtalia and Eclair to the ground. Teal manage to root herself into the ground to avoid this, but wish she didn't. Many large sections of stone went flying all around the place. Raphtalia and Eclair were spared due to being flat on the ground, Teal was not. A large section of stone struck her and sent her around 20 feet away and pinned her to the ground beneath it.

"Filo! Help Teal! Monti! Leon!"

[Zweite Hellfire]

[Blightning]

Both fired off stronger spells than before, both hitting a lot harder than before. Naofumi didn't know the exact math, but it felt like those two spells were at least twice as powerful as their last attempts.

While that happened, Filo raced to Teal. As they got close enough, Melty used [Zweite Aqua Slash], slicing the rock section in two horizontally. Filo never stopped moving as she jumped and kicked the top section of stone off the bottom section. She then began lifting the bottom section up, while Teal did what she could below. A moment later, they flipped the stone off of her.

Naofumi was becoming very concerned. Raphtalia, Filo, Leon, Eclair and now Teal were all very hurt. Melee damage had been useless and they'd yet to harm it, unless these spells did the trick- The dust settled. The Tyrant Rex had still yet to lose a single point of Hp.

"Then nothing can be off the table! I will need to summon Liviccic and Sophia." Naofumi concluded.

"Monti! Hit it with everything!" Naofumi ordered as he jumped off Monti. He used two [Air Strike Shield] skills as platforms. He made his way to the ground while calling the others.

Monti began charging his magic with [Cyclotron Loop], then coated his body with [Overdrive], then crashed into the back of the Tyrant Rex with [Arc Discharge].

...He dealt damage. It was a small amount, only a bit over 1% of its Hp, but he did it.

"Liviccic, Sophia, we have a huge problem!"

Liviccic and Sophia were in their home at the moment with only Silvius there. They didn't need to dance around with their words.

"Is Idol proving too much?" Liviccic asked.

"No. Raphtalia took him down a bit ago, but that sore fucking loser decided to summon a giant fucking dinosaur! It won't stop following Leon. We can outrun it a bit, but it'll reach us before Leon has had enough rest. Long-term, we can't escape, but the damned thing won't go down. Monti is hurting it and I have a plan, but we can't do it alone." Naofumi explained.

"...Understood. Sophia, fetch my staff. Silvius, you're in charge while I'm gone." Liviccic agreed instantly.

"My lord, what do you want me to tell Balmus or Malty if they ask for an audience?" Silvius was concerned.

"...Hmm. Tell them that I was informed that Fitts was sighted nearby and left with Sophia, blinded by personal revenge. The fake motivations I've presented line up with that." Was Liviccic's suggestion.

"B-But, my lord... Now is a critical time. Briarhaven needs its lord, now more than ever." Silvius warned.

"And this world needs its heroes, now more than ever. I know this isn't ideal, but with Sophia's movement techniques and Leon's flying, I should be back in time... Join my party." Liviccic countered, then ordered.

"Of course." Silvius capitulated.

"Now I can still issue orders through you and stay up to date." Liviccic explained as Sophia returned with his staff.

Silvius would have to settle for that, but he had one last thing to say. "Miss Sophia? Please protect our lord."

He had no choice but to leave the task of his lord's protection to a monster. He hated not being able to do it himself, but he knew Sophia would see it done. After all, she'd done so for the nearly two months that they had failed to.

"I will." Sophia promised.

"We're ready." Liviccic said.

[Knock Knock ll]

Liviccic and Sophia touched down next to Naofumi. They looked up and started to appreciate the level of trouble they were in.

"Melee isn't working. Magic isn't working. The small damage it was dealt was by Monti doing everything at once." Naofumi gave the simple rundown.

He used [Anoint] on them both. Liviccic gained magic and Sophia gained magic defense. Before they could form a plan, the Tyrant Rex shot out an enormous fire at them.

[Air Strike Shield]

He didn't have time to use [Parry] alongside it. It began cracking immediately. Leon flew behind them and began trying to counter the spell. While it was a monster exclusive spell, it was fire breathing, a skill Leon had himself.

[Anti Fire Breath]

Leon felt that the ability would work and maybe it did, but it only weakened the attack. The Tyrant Rex was just too strong. Regardless, the breath was weakened enough for it not to break through Naofumi's skill. The Tyrant Rex was about to start charging again, but Raphtalia and the rest on the ground all began striking its feet again. Distracting it, if nothing else.

"Listen. I need to borrow Sophia, I have a plan. Leon, you're with us." Naofumi ordered.

"I assume nothing is off the table?" Liviccic asked as he began moving towards the enemy.

"Yeah, curse the hell out of it for all I care."

Liviccic simply smiled at that. Naofumi and Sophia took to the sky atop Leon, making their way over to the beast.

"So, what's your plan?" Sophia asked.

"There should be enough of us and we have great skills, but his defense is too high. I need you to help anchor me to that thing, lower back preferable. From there, I will begin solving the defense problem." Naofumi explained.

While they made their move, those on the ground were fighting for their lives. The Tyrant Rex would stomp the ground every 10 seconds or so and the damage caused was scary. They dodged flying rocks and learned to leap to avoid most of the violent vibrations, but they could not avoid everything. Filo had to grab Eclair and drag her out of the fight entirely. Even though she did the best at avoiding damage, the little bit of damage Eclair did receive was already life threatening.

Melty wanted Eclair pulled to safety and Filo did so immediately. Eclair didn't argue. She was stubborn, but not stupid. She could not think of a way to avoid the damage completely, she simply could not continue. What happened next surprised Melty though, as Filo grabbed Melty off her back and placed her next to Eclair.

"Filo-chan, what are you doing? I'm fine." Melty protested.

Filo wasn't the smartest or the most mature, but she grew up protecting and being protected by her siblings. She couldn't think of any way to protect Melty while also doing her best to protect everyone else. So she needed to stop doing one of them, simple as that.

"Mel-chan, stay here and help knight lady. Filo needs to help." Filo said and she ran off too fast to hear Melty argue.

"Wait, Filo-chan!" Melty called.

"Did you just call me 'knight lady'?" Eclair asked in annoyance.

Filo made her way back to the others with a [High Quick]. She weaved through the flying stone and grabbed Raphtalia, placing her on her back.

"What now?" Filo asked.

"... I can't hurt it. Neither of us can...! Filo, turn around. I do have one thing that can help at least a little." Raphtalia had one idea as she pulled out her [Mana Blade].

Monti continued to use his spells on the Tyrant while swooping in for some hits with his currently boosted speed. He was alternating between Sp and Mp, but he needed to stop soon. He'd need to do what he did before and damage it further.

Naofumi and Sophia leapt from Leon and landed exactly where they wanted to. Sophia began to bind Naofumi to the Tyrant with [Sticky Thread] bolstered with [Steel Thread].

"What are you going to do if this thing rolls over?" Sophia asked.

"I have a skill that'll free me instantly. I'd jump off and we'd just start over again." Naofumi said.

It was good enough for Sophia. She finished tethering him to its back and began making her way to the Tyrant's face. She had her own plan. Naofumi switched to his [Saw Shield] and used [Spin]. He began holding it against the Tyrant's skin. He was prepared to drink two or three Sp potions if that was what it took to beat this thing.

The party was hitting its stride now.

Raphtalia was striking at the beast's feet, damaging its mana. Filo kept Raphtalia moving, too fast for the Tyrant to land a hit. Teal saw that Naofumi was weakening its defense and began prepping her body for when it was optimal to strike. She couldn't plant anything in the ground though, as the stomps threw the earth around too much. Monti used his full combo again on the side of the creature, repeating the tiny damage from before.

Leon had moved to Liviccic, baiting the Tyrant, while Liviccic charged the largest [Rancor] he could. The Tyrant took the bait and attempted to breathe fire at the pair. Liviccic unleashed his spell while Leon attempted to counter the Tyrant's breath again. There was a struggle of power as Liviccic's spell began losing ground to the Tyrant's own. Then Sophia acted. She reached the Tyrants face and began using a combination of her [Elastic Thread] and [Steel Thread] to form whips to strike at its eyes.

This actually allowed her to hurt it, if lightly. The strike in the eyes caused the Tyrant to stop breathing fire as it went to shake its head. Sophia retreated off its head to its back, not because of the shaking though, she could have simply held on. Without the Tyrant maintaining its fire breath, Liviccic's spell broke through what remained of it and consumed the head of the beast in powerful curses. For a moment, everyone grew quiet, thinking this was the turning point.

RRRAAAWWWRRR!

The beast was furious, but the ability only did about as much damage as Monti's attack. Naofumi just wished he'd gotten through more of this thing's defenses already. If he had stripped this thing's defenses completely, Monti and Liviccic could use those powerful attacks to deal maybe as much as 10% of this thing's Hp, was what Naofumi thought.

Leon had to pick up Liviccic and keep moving. The party kept doing its best for nearly 15 minutes after that. Teal building up her mutation, Raphtalia damaging its mana while riding Filo. Monti, Leon and Liviccic all launching magic when they could, Sophia kept attacking its eyes and retreating, it was beginning to lose sight. They were making it through somehow.

Melty had tended to Eclair and had been watching the fight, but she began to notice filolials standing just behind the treeline. Dozens of them, maybe even 100 of them had the place surrounded, but they did nothing. Melty was confused as to why.

Then, as Naofumi went to drink another Sp potion, he received a message.

[Cannot damage further]

"So I can't remove it all, even if I keep going? Damn." Naofumi thought.

He used [Liberation] to free himself and ran up the monster towards Sophia.

"Its defenses are as low as I can bring them. Hit it with everything!" Naofumi called out.

And they did. Naofumi reached Sophia as he leapt off the head with her. Naofumi front flipped to face the Tyrant as they fell. He used [Sunder] on its right eye, destroying it and damaging the surrounding flesh as Sophia made a parachute to help them both land safely.

Monti once again used his three skills together to strike the dinosaur in its side. He felt the difference in defense right away.

Liviccic used [Rancor] again, narrowly missing Naofumi and Sophia, aiming for its face again.

Raphtalia switched swords and had Filo use [High Quick] with [Wind Walk] to allow her to cut all over its legs. While not much, she was able to draw a little bit of blood as she went.

Leon simply flew into the Tyrant's chest. Using his weapon paired horn and his current attack boost, he tried impaling the beast, right where the shard was. His horn dug into its flesh, but not enough.

As the furious Tyrant went to bite Leon, Teal finally attacked herself. While it was true that Naofumi lowering its defenses for 15 minutes straight was a huge advantage, Teal was also building up one attack for 15 minutes. She attacked with an [Autumn Blow], but this one was insane. Her arm's size was about as big as one of the Tyrant Rex's legs. She struck the beast with an uppercut, saving Leon from the bite, but also knocking him aside.

The Tyrant Rex fell to the ground and a few thought they won. The Tyrant didn't move a moment.

Naofumi checked the Tyrant Rex's Hp. 72% Hp. Even after using all their abilities as best they could and acting smart, they'd only taken a quarter of its Hp.

As the Tyrant began to stand again with unbridled anger, it screamed fire everywhere around it. Like an all directional fire breath.

Leon was able to get in front of Raphtalia and Filo using his high fire resistance to tank more of it then they could, but he was now too hurt to do much. Naofumi blocked, protecting Sophia. Monti and Liviccic took the hit directly. They were both at full Hp before. Now? Not so much. Teal used her new arm to block for her, losing nearly all of it.

Naofumi looked around. Only he and Sophia now had more than 50% of their total Hp. Leon was the worst off at 27%. If the Tyrant Rex used that again, he was going to be missing half of his family at best, all of them at worst. Everyone was out of everything except Sophia and he had only one option left...

He had no choice. He knew curses hurt this thing... He'd need to use his [Wrath Shield]... He'd need to use the ability he gained right before he met Liviccic and Sophia. The cursed skill he gained from absorbing that cursed gate. Something he was scared to use... [E̷̡͕̔̑v̴͚͊̂e̸͕̿̕n̷̘̰̾ṯ̷̐u̸̪̗̿͛a̸͖̮͝l̸̛̳̿ ̵̰͝V̶̤͂͘i̵̳̇c̷̠̦͐t̷̮̔͋o̴͉̼͒r̵̝͆̒ẏ̵͖́].

[Author's Notes]

I literally rolled a dice for what stats were boosted by [Anoint]. Filo and Liviccic lucked out.

I'm sure Liviccic being gone will cause no problems at all.

How did you like the fight so far?

They have a lot of tricks up their sleeves. I thought I'd have them do literally everything they could think of to hurt it themselves. I believe they earned that 27% damage they did.

Did you think the amount of damage they did to it was fair?
