Chapter 10: The Staircase.
Crossover Town, Colorado, September 28th, 2012, Testaburger Residence, after school.
When Mabel and Wnedy got home, Valorie was already there, making dinner for them, while Harold sat on the Couch reading the newspaper.
"Oh hey girls." Said Harold. "How was school today?"
"Fine enough." Said Wendy, as she unpacked. "I've just got a new essay to write for tomorrow. "How to tell a dumbass from a Retard."
Harold frowned. "God, the things they teach you kids these days." He then noticed Mabel. "And how was your day sweetie?"
"Uh? Oh yeah, it uh… it was good." Mabel said, not bothering to mention Courtney's latest offense. "Hey, Nick and Megan are coming over tonight, they said they wanted to watch Dream Boy High 2, is that okay, Uncle Harold?"
"Of course!" Said Harold, he was glad Mabel had made friends in this town, and especially considering that this was the weekend. "They're always welcome to come, right Honey?"
"Hmm? Oh yeah, Just let me call their Parents." Valorie stopped what she was doing and went to the Phone to make calls.
Mabel was delighted, And soon enough, after setting up plans, Nick and Megan arrived later that night, Accompanied by an Older girl with Black hair, dressed in a plain white T-Shirt, with a royal claret shortie, with gray pants and black boots, This was Juley, Megan's sister.
"Hey Mabel!" Said Megan, as she and Nick entered the house, geared up with pajamas, sleeping bags and the DVD case containing the Movie they were due to watch. "We brought the Movie!"
"Sweet! Already got snacks planned for us!" Said Mabel, As she pulled out a sack of preemptively prepared junk food for the Hangout.
"I don't usually do this kind of thing, and Eric Cartman could rip on me for this." Said Nick. "But Megan talked me into it, And I thought I should be there for a friend."
Mabel was touched. "Aw, Thank you guys!" And she pulled them into a hug.
"So, I'll guess I can pick them up in the morning?" Juley asked Valorie and Harold.
"Oh yes, that would be fine." Said Valorie.
"Okay then, now you be good kid, I'll come back in the morning." Said Juley as she left the house.
"Bye Juley!" Called Megan as the door closed.
"Alright you guys." Said Mabel with a rub of her hands. "Time to get this party on!"
Soon enough, the three kids were in Mabel's room, eating snacks and sitting in front of the TV, watching as the Movie played before they're eyes.
Xyler: Dude, I can't believe we just struck a date!
Craz: A double date of destiny!
Xyler and Craz: OHH!
"God this is cringe." Said Nick, as he chewed on a slice of Pizza.
"Oh Stop it you!" Megan said, punching him in the arm. Oh, "Can't handle girl stuff for a full minute?"
"I'm just saying, I'm just saying." Nick said.
"Oh now this is the best part so far." Said Mabel as she watched Xyler fall to his knees before his love interest.
Xyler: Beatrice, I'm like totally into you girl, Will you kadush with me?!
Beatrice: Oh yes!
Mabel and Megan awed, while Nick just inwardly gagged.
Craz: And I am like, totally radical about you, Veronica.
Veronica: What?
"Hmm, I actually kinda like this Veronica character." Said Nick. "Actually feels realistic."
The movie droned on for a half hour before it was over.
"Well that was great!" Said Mabel. "So who's up for a game of…"
Mabel paused impressively.
"Test Gums!"
Megan and Nick nodded as they pulled out packs of gum.
"Okay, the first one to blow their piece in the other's face, wins." Said Mabel as she swallowed her gum, Megan and Nick did the same. As they blew gum bubbles from their mouths, they began to press them against each other's faces to pop them, each time they pushed against each other, the Bubbles bounced off until they tried again.
Eventually, Megan and Mabel pushed against Nick's bubble together and before they knew it.
"POP"
Pink sticky gum exploded against his face, covering it in pink goop.
The two girls laughed at the look on his face, While Nick tried to suck it all in.
"AH HA HA HA!" Megan chortle. "Y-you. You should see the look… ON YOUR FACE! HAHAHAHAH!"
"Hey shut up!" Nick said defensively. "What the hell was even the point of this game?"
"I don't know, I had nothing else good planned out." Mabel shrugged.
"...Okay." Nick said, before glancing at something. "But I think I can think of one thing."
"What's that?" Asked Mabel before a pillow was suddenly lobbed in her face.
"Pillow fight Bitches!" Nick cried as he grabbed two pillows and assumed a fighting stance.
"Oh it is ON!" Megan roared as she and Mabel grabbed their own pillows and lunged at the boy together!
Megan swung first at Nick, only for the boy to dodge skillfully and clout her on the back of her head, then blocked an attack from Mabel, who quickly threw a cushioned left hoot that left him open to an attack by Megan.
Nick quickly backflipped over the girl as she tried to swipe him in the legs with her pillow, and as Nick landed behind her, she immediately shot her back leg out and kicked him in the chest.
This went on for about a whole hour, before the three friends reached a stalemate, panting from the adrenaline rush, soon they dropped their pillows and collapsed to the ground tiredly giggling amongst themselves, Mabel couldn't help but feel content, Nick and Megan were great friends, They weren't Candy and Grenda to be sure, But it was nice to have friends around, for once, Mabel felt like-
"Crash!"
The three were suddenly aroused from their stuper to find something crashing through the window in the room. They looked to see it was a Rock, with a small piece of Paper tied to it.
"What's that?" Asked Megan.
Nick went over to the Broken window and looked outside, But he could find no one there, Mable meanwhile picked up the rock and read the note.
You've got a Toll to pay.
Meet us tomorrow at the park.
"What the hell is this?" Asked Nick.
"And where did this come from?" Asked Megan.
"...I think I might know…" Said Mabel with dread.
The Next Day.
Crossover Town, Colorado, September 29th, 2012, Crossover Town Park.
Mabel made her way to the Park as the note said, as she entered through the front gate, she found no one around at first.
"Well, Well, So you actually got the Message?" A voice asked.
Mabel turned and saw Courtney and her lackey's at a nearby Tree, Courtney herself was perched upon its lowest branch. "Guess, you actually know how to read, good."
"You threw a rock in my window, And I read perfectly well thank you." Said Mabel.
Courtney jumped off the branch and landed on the ground as Mabel approached her. "Why so tense? We only wanted to chat."
"About what?" Asked Mabel. "You said we were done talking."
"Well I was wrong." Courtney cut in, as she began circling Mabel. "We've come to realize that perhaps, we've been too hard on you. After all, It must not be easy being an Orphan."
Mabel's eyes went wide. "How do you…?"
"Eh, Words and Rumors spread fast around here." Courtney said. "So fast you wouldn't believe, Anyway, We just wanted to make it up to you for all the heckling we've done."
"Oh yeah? How?" Mabel asked.
"Well…" Courtney began, before Kelly suddenly interrupted.
"We're gonna kill ya and take all your-!" She was then hastily swatted across the back of her head by Kathy. "Shut up you idiot!"
Mabel's eyes nearly bulged out of her sockets. "Excuse me?"
"Nothing personal darling." Said Courtney as she got closer to Mabel. "Just a little… Well actually, A last bit of fun before we're done."
Mabel tried to leave, Only to find Kate blocking her way.
"I think I've had enough fun." Said Mabel as she turned to Courtney, a look of fear spreading on her face.
"I'll bet." Courtney smiled sadistically, as she sent a knee into Mabel's stomach, the helpless girl felt the air leave her lungs as she was then thrown aside into the path of the tree.
She hit it with a thud and suddenly found herself restrained by Kathy and Kelly as Courtney advanced.
"Now if you excuse me, I need to stretch."
And she brought her leg up to kick Mabel in the face. Again, and again, Until Kathy and Kelly threw her to the ground and as Mabel tried to get up, Courtney punched her in the shoulder, forcing her to the ground again.
"Ha Ha Ha!" Cackled Kelly.
"What? Not gonna fight back Bitch?!" Sneered Kathy.
Mabel spat out some Blood and got to her feet, She held up her fists and tried to strike back against Courtney, But she was too fast for the poor girl, She dodged every sloppy punch thrown at her, Until she eventually caught one. "Pathetic."
She then pulled Mabel close to her and flipped her over her shoulder, sending her crashing to the ground again!
"Whoa! Wipeout!" Laughed Kate, who had whipped out her phone and was recording the whole thing.
Mabel got up once again, And this time, Decided to just make a run for it. With a desperate burst of energy, she sprinted past the tree and made a beeline away from the girls.
"Go ahead bitch, Run!" Called Courtney. "Makes the climax more fun!"
Mabel jogged desperately through the park, with the four girls tailing her from behind. Suddenly, As she reached an upcoming slope, with a flight of stairs leading down it, Mabel almost reached it, But found Courtney landing out of the air in front of her, blocking her path.
Mabel backed away fearfully as The K.K.K. 's surrounded her, Blocking her other exit.
"Oh poor little girl." Courtney cued. "So sad and alone."
"Why are you doing this?!" Asked Mabel.
"I told you, Nothing Personal." Said Courtney, as she lobbed a backhand to Mabel, quickly followed by a sidekick from Kelly, that sent Mabel spinning towards the edge to the staircase, Only to be caught by Courtney before she went over, with a tug, She pulled Mabel back to solid ground, and for a moment, Mabel thought she had a last minute change of heart…
…She didn't.
"We just need a cover."
Courtney then shot out her leg and kicked Mabel in the chest! Sending the poor girl tumbling down the concrete stairs, brushing and scraping herself in the procese.
She reached the bottom with a crash! And lay there unconscious, sprawled out and bloody.
The girls laughed and each high river each other.
"Alright, girls." Said Courtney. "Phase 1 complete, you got the whole thing Kate?"
"Oh yeah." Said Kate with delight.
"Excellent."Said Courtney as she walked off "Now make sure the edits are perfect girls, The next part begins now…"d
Meanwhile,
Harold sat at the bar, as he and several other patrons listened to the news as it told its latest story.
"And in other news, Shock and Panic reigned in the town of City, when a local green boy was revealed to be a deranged, Alien invader by the name of Zim, a Freedom Watch scout team. (Who will remain anonymous.) Also causing several instance of collateral damage in the process, Professor Membrane has stated-"
Harold scoffed as the broadcast continued. "It's days like this that make me wish Bill Clinton was president, again."
"Well it could be worse." Said Lynn loud Sr. "I mean, sure things out there are getting shitier but still."
"Probably better out there than here." Said a fat pink Rabbit named Richard. "These stupid Hulk busters keep checking our homes for the Hulk!"
"But why?" Asked Moley. "Wasn't this… Hulk supposed to be in the Woods?"
"Hmm, That is a bit strange." Observed Ratty. "You'd think they thought one of us was the beast."
The Bar went up in an uproar of Laughter at Ratty's joke.
"But seriously though." Said Brian. "If they haven't found him by now, then either they're desperate or stupid."
"I'd like to think it's a case of both myself." Whispered Tigger to Pooh and Piglet.
Just then, Rabbit burst into the Room, panting heavily!
"MR. TESTABURGER! Huff… Huff… Mr Testaburger!"
Everyone turned to look as Rabbit hurried over to Harold.
"R-Rabbit?" Asked Harold. "What's…?"
"It's your niece!" Explained Rabbit. "She's… She's been Attacked!"

Well, this was a brutal one to write, And I mean Brutal. Anyone who felt uncomfortable during this scene, I assure you, It will get slightly more fucked up before it gets better. And Mabel is going to remember this for a long time coming.
And as for Courtney, Yeah, She's a sociopath, And you'll see way more evil from her in the rest of the Story, So look out for that, Because more Troubles on the way.
In other news, the Next chapters for Go God Go. (Retelling) And South Park the Dark Time comes have been started and I wish you all to go check out those stories when they get updated. I'm trying to get one of them complete so I can move onto other Projects.
Not to mention, But recently my Great Grandma Grover passed away recently, she was 103 years old, Longest life in the world, RIP GG. You will always be loved.
