Will To Live

Previously on Descendants:

"I know you're worried, Jane, but an ambulance had to be called." Lonnie said gently.

"First I lost my husband, Lonnie," Jane said, trying not to cry. "I don't want to lose my only son and precious baby boy too!"

"Carlistle is strong, Aunt Jane," Julian said kindly. "we won't lose him."

"I hope you're right, Julian, I really do." Jane sighed.

Carlistle began having a vision while in the state he was in.

In the vision, Carlistle was around 6-years-old and he was at the playground with his grandmother.

Carlistle's mother and father were there too watching Cruella pushing Carlistle on the swing.

Back in the hospital, Jane came into the room where Carlistle lay.

"Oh my gosh! Carlistle!" Jane exclaimed.

Jane rushed over to her only son's side.

Another vision flashed into Carlistle's mind.

Within this vision, Carlistle was again 6-years-old and playing chess with his father.

"Checkmate! I win once again!" Carlistle exclaimed.

"You sure do," Carlos said to his young son. "I taught you well!"

"You sure did, Dad!" Carlistle said to Carlos.

Back in the hospital, Mallory, Julian, and Daniella entered the room where Carlistle was lying in bed.

"So," Daniella asked Jane. "has Carlistle spoken yet?"

"Not a word, I'm sorry to say it." Jane answered Daniella.

The doctor entered the room.

"I'm here to take Carlistle's vital signs." the doctor said to Jane.

"How is my son, Doctor?" Jane asked.

"We will know in a few minutes, Missis De Vil." the doctor replied to Jane.

Now on Descendants:

The doctors and nurses were working long and hard to save Carlistle's life.

Jane opened the locket that she always wore around her neck, there was a picture of herself and Carlos on their wedding day, "What would you do in a situation like this?" she asked Carlos in the picture.

Daniella, Auradon's own Princess Mallory, and Julian walked up to Jane.

"Poor Carlistle." Julian said.

"What a sad thing to happen." Daniella observed.

"A very sad thing, we're so sorry, Aunt Jane." the Princess of Auradon agreed.

"We must have faith that Carlisle will pull through this." Jane said gently.

"You're right as usual, Aunt Jane." Princess Mallory said.

Carlistle had one final vision.

Within his vision, Carlos and Carlistle were repairing the palace alarm for Auradon's royal family.

When Carlistle prepared to drop to the floor.

"Carlistle! What's wrong, my son?" Carlos asked.

"I'm... really... sleepy... Dad..." Carlistle began.

"No, Carlistle! Listen to the voices all around you!" Carlos exclaimed.

"Voices," Carlistle asked. "what voices, Dad?"

"Please, Carlistle," the Princess of Auradon prayed. "open your eyes."

"Princess?" Carlistle asked, recognizing Mallory's voice.

"Our little clique won't be the same without you." Julian said to Carlistle.

"Julian?" Carlistle asked.

"You have got to wake up! Carlistle!" Daniella pleaded.

"Ella?" Carlistle asked.

"The voices of your friends, Son," Carlos said to Carlistle. "now, follow them."

"I'll miss you, Dad." Carlistle said.

Within a few minutes, Carlistle opened his eyes to see the faces of his loving mother and his three friends staring back at him.

"Hey! Look," the Princess of Auradon called. "he awake! Carlistle's awake!"

"Hello, everyone." Carlistle said.

Coming up in chapter 14: Tourney Tourament:

"I saw Dad, Mom." Carlistle said.

"You saw your father?" Jane asked Carlistle.

"I repaired the palace's alarm with him." Carlistle said to Jane.

"So I see." Jane said to Carlistle gently.
