30. XXVIII Selene: Panic

I'm sorry, Todoroki-kun. But I need to get away.

I heard him chasing me into the forest. Giving one last glance at the dining table, I used an earth quirk and summoned purple hyacinth blooms. I had wanted to summon the complete flower, but in my state of rising panic, I only managed to summon the individual blooms in the shape of the flower. Not wanting him to discover me during my panic attack, I activated Hagakure-san's invisibility quirk and hid behind a thick tree. I was beginning to sense the rise of the panic attack, and it took all my control not to make a sound and maintain my invisibility.

I could hear Todoroki-kun's footsteps amongst the forest detritus clearly. I could feel my breath become quick and shallow. My head pounded with the rush of blood. My hands would not stop shaking, and I could not concentrate on any singular object. I felt myself fading in and out of consciousness.

Please, Todoroki-kun. I know you mean well, but leave me be. Please leave. I pleaded desperately, despite fully knowing that he wouldn't hear me.

After what seems like an eternity, I heard his footsteps leave the forest.

I don't hold back now. I release the sounds of panting and pain. I fall to my knees, clutching my chest with trembling hands. I collapse to my side and wait for the attack to pass. I stare at the canopy overhead and watch its shape contort and distort.

Finally, the dark canopy engulfs my entire vision, and all I see is black.
