Chapter 24: Bullfighting is a Family Tradition.

The Minotaur roars and charges at Frank. But since he's also a Minotaur himself, they were evenly matched. Percy joins in and jumps to attack, but the Minotaur reacts quickly and shoves Frank in front of Percy, pushing them both. Percy was about to get up and saw Hazel and Annabeth struggling on taking out the reinforcement.

"Frank! Go help the girls! I got this!"

"But-"

"Just go!" Percy yelled.

Frank hesitated for a second but nodded and ran off to help the girls. Percy was confident now, mostly due to the fact that he's now outside of a harbor that's surrounded by water.

"Let's go, big guy! Round 3!"

The Minotaur chuckled sinisterly, "This won't be the same as last time, Jackson."

The Minotaur throws a fist at Percy but he dodges it and swings his sword at his arm. He left a cut on him.

"You may have gotten smarter, but you also got bigger. What happened? Were you lazing about since you're a sore loser?"

Minotaur backhand slap Percy, pushing him away from the waters. Little by little, The Minotaur was getting smarter at fighting. He knows that Percy is more powerful when he's near water. He's preventing Percy from gaining an advantage; however, that doesn't mean that Percy is powerless. Don't forget, Percy Jackson is considered to be one of the most powerful Demigods (that I'm aware of) there is. Plus this isn't the first time they fought.

"That wasn't as hard as last time, big guy. You really let yourself go."

The Minotaur then grabbed a large container and threw it at Percy.

"Crap…" Percy yelled.

Before the container could hit Percy, I swung by and grabbed Percy. Afterwards, I swung around and swung Percy at the Minotaur, kicking him on the head and staggering him. We both landed down.

"Thanks, sis!" Percy yelled.

"No problem, bro. Looks like you're going to need some help."

"Yeah, I told Frank to help Hazel and Annabeth to deal with the others."

"In that case, let's show the bullhead why we Jacksons are professional bullfighters."

Percy chuckled a bit, "Runs in the family."

Percy charged while I swung upwards as the Minotaur charged at us. I kick him on the head while Percy slashes his sword at his leg. After that, we basically were grouping up on him. While I have web powers and immense strength from the curse, I focused on pinning him down and punching him; while Percy, with experience with a sword and can control the water, has been cutting him bit by bit, forcing him to push back to the ocean so he can knock him down. However, the Minotaur was getting smarter and learning how we fight. As I swung past him, he grabbed me by the leg and threw me at Percy. We both got knocked down, but little did the Minotaur notice that he threw us closer to the ocean.

"You okay, Percy?" I asked. He nodded.

"Yeah, we got him right where we wanted him."

The Minotaur grabbed an old anchor that was nearby as he came closer.

"Any last word, Jackson?"

Percy smirked, "Yeah, you need a bath."

Percy reached out towards the ocean and water tentacles were being formed. They attacked the Minotaur but he held them off with the anchor.

"Estelle! Go!" Percy yelled.

Seems like Percy finally acknowledged my skills. I nodded and I swung towards the Minotaur. I swung past him and then proceeded to grab him by his neck. I stood on top of him and shot my webs down on the ground and pulled. The force of me pulling made the Minotaur slam straight to the ground head-first, leaving a small crater on impact.

"Now that's teamwork!" I yelled.

"Stay alert, Estelle. It's not over yet," Percy replied as the Minotaur got back up. Percy tried to hold him down with the water tentacles, but he was too strong for them. The Minotaur breaks free and roars.

"I'm going to squash like the puny bugs you are!" The Minotaur yelled.

"We already established, big guy!" I yelled before the Minotaur charged at us. Percy and I dodged him and I fired a web at him from behind. However, he had too much momentum and I was being dragged from.

"Estelle!" Percy yelled.

"I got him, Percy! I got him!"

I looked up and I panicked a bit.

The Minotaur was charging straight at where Annabeth, Hazel and Frank were fighting off the henchmen. I pulled myself forward with the web and launched myself on top of the Minotaur.

"Let's hope Bullriding is in my blood too!" I yelled as I fired webs on both my hands on his face, blinding him as he charged. I tried steering him away from the gang and made him charge straight towards the henchmen instead.

Shouldn't be a problem, right?

"Excuse me! Rampaging bull, coming through!" I yelled as the Minotaur ran across the crowd and destroyed several vehicles before I managed to turn him back into the warehouse. Meanwhile, Frank was covering Annabeth and Hazel as they tend to take cover.

"You alright, Hazel?" Annabeth asked.

"Yeah, just a little tired. Nico wasn't kidding about Shadow-Travel taking a lot out of you."

"Get some rest, Frank and I will-"

Before Annabeth can finish her sentence, Frank roars and transforms once again. He was just a giant dragon with hardened skin, so the fact that he was transforming into something is confusing. He went from a giant fire-breathing lizard with wings into something more… humanoid.

It looked more like a bipedal animal, yet it was furry and had human characteristics. It was like Bigfoot. But something about it seems off. As the henchmen were shooting at him, the bullets were bouncing off him, like the fur was this strong impenetrable armor.

"Frank?" Annabeth said.

But Frank wasn't listening. He roared as he ran towards the men. He went on a rampage and was smashing the remaining cars and punching the men. However, Frank's new form had… incredible strength. He would grab a man and throw him out into the sea; he would lift a car and throw it out to the henchmen.

The men were getting more terrified as the guns were ineffective against Frank. Fearing for their lives, they started leaving the area in fear. As Frank continues to go on a rampage, Annabeth calls out to him.

"Frank! Stop! They're gone now! Frank!"

But Frank was not listening. Until He heard Hazel's voice.

"Frank!" Hazel yelled.

In an instant, Frank stops and turns around, spotting Hazel. He started to calm down and slowly, he returned back to himself, on the ground, panting.

"What… what happened?" Frank asked.

"You don't remember?" Annabeth said as she and Hazel ran towards him, helping him up. "You went on a rampage and took out the remaining men."

"I… don't remember. I saw Hazel getting hurt and next thing I knew, I blacked out."

Hazel held his arms, assuring him that she's okay.

"You went a little wild there, Frank. Are you okay?" she asked.

Frank nodded, "Yeah, but it's best I take a break on turning into monsters for now. Still need to work on that."

As they finished talking, a loud roar came from the warehouse. Then, I busted through a window and crashed onto a crate. I groaned in pain but thanks to the curse, I endured most of the damage. After all, a collision that strong would be fatal.

"I'm okay, everyone. Big guy kind of has some mommy issues."

Before the others can come help me, The Minotaur exits out of the warehouse from the same hole I was launched from. He roars furiously as charges towards me, but Percy interrupts him by launching a huge wave of water at him.

I'm so glad my half-brother is Aquaman.

"You alright, sis?" Percy asked.

"Yeah, I'm good. Muscle-brain over there is relentless."

Percy offered me a hand and I took it. I got up and stood ready.

"I have a plan," I said. "Push him closer to the ocean, near those crates."

I pointed toward the crates that were near the edge of the port.

"He's not going to fall for that. He knows I can control the water."

"It's not going to be him you're dragging…"

Percy frowned for a second until the realization of my plan hit him.

"Oh! I got it. Let's go!"

We both split up, Percy ran towards the Minotaur while I swung up to gain the high ground.

What? Obi-wan taught me well.

Anyways, Minotaur swings his left arm to punch Percy, but my brother dodges it and stabs his arm. He grunts in pain as Percy then pulls the sword out of his arm and slashes one of his legs. He was going to use his free arm to throw another punch, but I intervened by swinging and kicking to the face.

"Estelle! Catch!" Percy yelled as he threw his sword towards me. I grabbed it and dashed towards the Minotaur by shooting a web on him from behind. I did a little spin and slashed one of his horns as well leaving a nasty cut near his neck.

He roars in pain.

I threw the sword back to Percy and then he swung it at the Minotaur's torso.

While Percy was distracting the beast, I grabbed some chains that are still attached to the crates near the oceans. I place them around Percy and the Minotaur for my plan to immobilize him.

"Get ready, Percy!" I yelled as I finished setting up the plan. I dashed towards the Minotaur and kicked him on the face. Percy was still in front of him and he stabbed him on the torso.

I know what you're thinking. 'Estelle! You're letting your brother kill the Minotaur!'

Again, monsters can't actually die completely. They tend to come back. In case you aren't aware. Once a monster is killed, they return to Tartarus, but they always find a way back to the living.

Yeah… the fight against monsters is endless.

It's like I told Vulture.

It's time for a change.

"Percy! Don't kill him!" I yelled.

"What?!"

"Trust me!"

I shot two webs on the crates and attached them to the Minotaurs back before he quickly got back up. Luckily, my spider-sense warned me beforehand and I flipped back to dodge it.

"I'm going to rip you in half, Jackson!" The Minotaur yelled.

I chuckled, "That's such a Juggernaut thing to say."

The Minotaurs slams his arms at us but we dodged it. I fired my webs at his hands to pin him down. He was now stuck and so, Percy and I landed several punches on his face. Despite Percy being a demigod and me having superhuman strength, it was like punching a brick wall. I finished up our combo with a flip kick before the Minotaur broke free of my webs.

"Come on, big guy!" Percy yelled. "We've been doing this dance for years now! Don't you think it's time to move on?"

"You should listen to my brother. Face it, he's already taken. And besides, you can do way better," I said.

"Hey!" Percy replied.

The Minotaur growls, "I faced many brave warriors. The only one who has ever beaten me other than you, Jackson, was Theseus," he then laughed sinisterly. "But… I got my vengeance. Just like I will on you!"

The Minotaur was about to grab Percy but I yanked him out of the way before he could, but I couldn't dodge him in time. So instead, he grabbed me instead. And man, he had a strong grip.

"Estelle!" Percy yelled.

I grunted in pain as the Minotaur was squishing me. But I managed to tell Percy, "Now! Pull down the crates!"

But Percy wasn't listening, he was shaking as he watched me get crushed slowly. He was most likely reminiscing how the same situation happened with mom a while back. I don't blame him for getting flashbacks, but he's all grown up now. He couldn't save mom back then, but he can save me now.

"KELP HEAD!" I yelled.

He snapped back into reality and nodded. He reached out towards the ocean and summoned water tentacles.

The Minotaur notices and says, "Touch me, and she dies."

I managed to reply. "They're not for you, Ferdinand."

The water tentacles grabbed the crates and dragged them straight down. As the crates sank into the ocean, the chains attached to them started following afterwards and attached themselves to the Minotaur. I broke free from Minotaur as he lost his grip on me from the sudden pull on the chains. He tries to grab onto anything to stop himself from being pulled. He managed to grab onto a mooring to prevent himself from falling completely into the water. I yelled at him as I swung up and web dashed towards him with a front kick. Kind of like Rogue from X-Men vs Street Fighter.

"Have a nice bath!" I yelled as I kicked the Minotaur at his face, making him lose grip on the mooring and sink into the sea. And just like that, another victory for the Jacksons. Until I realized something.

"Oh shoot… Hey Percy, can monsters breathe underwater?" I asked, concerningly.
