Chapter 27: We Fumbled Harder Than Peter Parker's Marriage.

As I fought Typhon in the throne room and Percy and the others are working to stop the ritual, the battle rages on outside. Festus is out with the main forces and pushing back the monsters from advancing. As for Leo, he's still dealing with Scorpion and his men by himself with his latest prototype.

In case you want to know why Leo created his own suit of armor like Iron Man, it's basically like this: Leo designed a suit of armor that he greatly was inspired by Iron Man. The reason for that is mostly because his daughter loves Iron Man. Plus, he hates to feel like the weakest link in the group. So he thought of ideas on how he can use his flame-combustion ability in a more effective way. Training is one thing, but it wasn't enough. He needed to find a way to enhance his flames. Then he thought of an idea; what if, instead of using the flames as a weapon; why not use it as a source of energy. Thus, he began his attempt to create such a suit that's capable of harnessing his flames. He used Celestial bronze; Imperial Gold, etc. In the end, he managed to create the first prototype but never got the chance to test it.

Until now…

Leo fires another beam at another monster, leaving only Scorpion.

"Ready to give up?" Leo asked as he aimed his… I guess their repulsors? I mean, the laser is really his pressurized heat. Honestly, Leo's genius can be frightening, but in this situation it may turn the tide.

Scorpion, however, was not worried; in fact, he's laughing.

"Aw, look at the little mechanic, all grown up and ready to save the world. If only mommy was here to see you."

Leo was silent and since he had his helmet on, you couldn't really see his expression. But you know Scorpion touched a nerve there. Leo powers down his repulsors and charges at him with his suit.

POW

I threw a nasty blow to Typhon's face. But man, this guy is relentless.

"Seriously, what are you made of?! Punching you feels like I'm punching a brick wall or a Nokia."

Look it up, Nokia phones were once sturdy. Even stopped a bullet from killing a man. Ugh, Sam's taste in jokes really influenced me. I'm sorry.

Anyways, Typhon tried to grab me but I dodged and fired a web at his arm, hoping to bind him. Oh how the tables turned; instead, he used my web and pulled me towards him. He grabbed me and slammed me to the ground, hard. The whole room rumbled and the floor started to crack and break apart. Typhon and I fell down to the floor underneath but I was able to escape from Typhon's grip.I groaned in pain, "Apparently, not even the throne room for the gods could hold your weight."

Typhon growls in frustration, "Do you ever shut up?!"

I chuckled, "Aw, what's wrong? Is this little mortal girl too much for the big bad monster god?"

Scorpion is quick on his movement. He has been dodging many of Leo's attacks and blasts.

However, Leo was not letting him out of his sight. He fires a blast right in front of the Scorpion, stopping him in his tracks and charges him from above.

WHAM

Leo grabs him by the neck as Scorpion lays on the ground, gasping for air. As this was happening, The barrier that surrounded Olympus is starting to return to normal.

"[Sir, you have a call from Mrs. Jackson]" T.A.L.O.S. replied.

"Hello?" Leo called through his helmet.

"Leo! We have a problem!" Annabeth yelled.

"Annabeth? What do you mean? The barrier is coming back."

"The Gods weren't the only target, Leo! They're after the-"

BOOM

A giant explosion occurred nearby. Leo looked behind and saw the building. Scorpion laughs as all this was happening.

"What did you do?!" Leo yelled.

"Me? I was here the whole time. My job was to distract you all as mi amigos go blow up the source of your little bubble."

Leo understood what he meant. Scorpion and his men weren't just distracting the army so that Typhon could confront the Gods; they were also making sure that the source of the barrier's magic was destroyed so that Olympus wouldn't be protected forever. Before Leo could even react, Scorpion then stabs Leo by the side with his stinger.

"Thanks for the dance, Valdez. Say hi to your mom for me," Scorpion replied as Leo grunts in pain and lets go of him. Scorpion runs off as Leo is slowly dying.

"Leo?" Annabeth said in the call. "Leo, what happened?"

Leo tried to respond, but the poison was starting to take effect.

"Scorpion… stabbed me… need… antidote," Leo barely replied before he started to lose consciousness.

Meanwhile, back in Manhattan, Annabeth called out to Leo through the phone.

"Leo?! Leo?!"

Leo did not respond so Annabeth feared the worst.

"This is bad, Leo got stabbed and may need medical help. Hazel and Frank, head to Leo and get him healed. Percy and I will join up with the main forces and repel the monsters and then join up with Estelle and assist her in taking out Typhon."

"Wait, but how are you going to get past Typhon's magic? Not to mention he also has the Trident. He's nearly unstoppable," Frank said.

"We'll think of something," Percy replied. "Just help Leo before the poison spreads."

Frank and Hazel nodded and shadow-traveled to Leo's location.

Percy sighs.

"Don't worry Percy, Leo's going to be fine. Same with Estelle, we may not be able to fight Typhon, but the least we can do is support her."

Just as they were heading off, they heard a large booming noise and looked ahead at Olympus. The barrier that they just returned has dissipated. Annabeth cursed.

"It took years to make that work!" She yelled.

Yeah, so far, things are not looking good.

As for me?

Well..

POW

Typhon throws me at a wall and then charges at me. The wall collapsed as he ran through it and we are now in the other room. Seriously, the guy rams through me like I'm every-Isekai character meeting Truck-kun.

I really need a break from anime.

"Just, give up!" Typhon yelled. "You're not going to beat me! I am Typhon, creator of mortals' greatest nightmares! I fought gods; heroes and warriors! And you?"

Typhon picks me up with his hand.

"You're NOTHING!"

POW

Typhon punches me, really, really hard. And man… It hurt! I could've sworn I heard something crack that's not supposed to. I groaned in pain as I tried to get up, but he continued his rampage at me.

"You are just a little girl, playing superhero! You are no demigod!"

POW

"You are no warrior!"

POW

"And you…"

POW

"...Are…"

POW

"...NO HERO!"

Typhon grabs me once again and slams me to the ground, really hard.

You know, for a mortal kid, I can really take on a lot of Typhon's punches. I'm pretty sure that's because of the curse; because if I didn't have the endurance… I'd be dead from the first punch.

"So do us all a favor… AND STOP WASTING MY TIME!" Typhon raises both arms and slams straight at me, leaving a small crater in my position.

"...Leo…" Leo heard a voice. "Leo… wake up…"

Everything was dark and cold. He tried to get up but couldn't.

"Leo," A voice spoke.

Leo was frozen… well shocked since he already can't move. He recognized that voice from anywhere.

An old friend.

"Leo, wake up. It's not your time."

"JASON!" Leo yelled as he stood up. But as he looked around, he realized where he was. He is back in Olympus and was stabbed by Scorpion. Leo looked around and saw Frank and Hazel next to him as he was being healed from the poison.

"Leo!" Frank said. "You're okay, don't worry."

"...And Scorpion?"

Hazel shook her head, "He's gone. Nowhere in sight."

Leo cursed in Spanish, "We'll deal with him later. Right now, we gotta join up with the main force and repel the monsters. Typhon planned ahead and took out the source of the barrier and now Olympus is defenseless."

Before Leo and the others can move, a large booming noise comes from the building where the throne room stands. Judging from the noise, they knew that it didn't come from me.

"T.A.L.O.S.?" Leo called out to his suit.

"[Only a large amount of strength could have caused that noise. The only logical choice would be Typhon himself]"

"Estelle…" Leo charges up his suits and repulsors and flies towards my location. Frank and Hazel were right behind him. As for Percy and Annabeth, they heard the same noise and fear for the worst. As most of the monsters were already defeated, they let the rest of the soldiers deal with the rest and headed off to join the others to my position. Festus gave them a ride and soon afterwards, they all joined up to the throne room. As they arrived, they saw that nobody was inside and that a large hole was there.

"Estelle?!" Percy yelled as he ran towards the hole. As he looked down, he saw me on the floor as Typhon went to retrieve the Trident as it too had fallen from the top floor. Percy was furious and jumped down to attack him.

"Percy, no!" Annabeth yelled. But Percy didn't listen as he attempted to attack Typhon from above. However, Typhon heard him and grabbed him before the blade could pierce him. Annabeth jumps down and throws a dagger at him, leaving a nasty cut at his right eye. He lets go of Percy but his magic was still up and was weakened as he entered his range but Annabeth pulled him out of it. The gang all formed up together and faced Typhon.

"You just keep showing up, one by one. I will break you all, just like I did with that brat!"

"YOU BASTARD!" Percy roared as he charged. The others joined suit afterwards. Percy and Annabeth charged but first, Hazel summoned a small pit to trip Typhon while Leo fired his repulsor blasts at his face. Frank then transforms into a rhino and charges at Typhon. However, the god caught him and spun him to Percy and Annabeth, knocking them back. Festus then swoops down and attacks him from above. The gang all joined up and kept pushing, hoping to either wear him down or just kill him. However, the magic on his bracers were too powerful and they could barely hurt him. However, his fight with me wounded him and wore him down. He can't keep this up.

Finally, Festus uses his tail to grab Typhon from the neck behind while Frank transforms into an octopus and binds him. Hazel summons the last of her magic to entrap Typhon. Leo joins up with Frank and Festus and proceeds to arm lock Typhon from behind; however, T.A.L.O.S. is informing Leo that the magic is draining the suit's energy rapidly and he wouldn't be able to last long. Finally, Percy and Annabeth both attempt to remove the bracers off Typhon as quickly before he breaks loose.

"Almost there!" Annabeth yelled.

But it was too late, Typhon broke free and attempted to stop Percy and Annabeth. He then proceeds to grab Leo and Frank and throw them at Hazel. Finally, he pulled Festus from his tail and spun him around, knocking back everyone.

Typhon still stands, but he was out of breath.

"You can not defeat me! I am Typhon! I AM THE DESTROYER OF OLYMPUS!"

As I started to regain consciousness, I saw everyone knocked down and beaten as Typhon went to grab his Trident. I tried to get up but the pain barely made it easy. I look ahead and see the god walking towards me with the Trident.

"I applaud you, mortal. You attempt to fight a god; yet fail."

Typhon lifts the trident above my head as he prepares himself for the final blow on me.

"But you are no match for me. You are nothing but a child being something you will never be! NOW DIE!"

He slams the Trident down at me.
