Chapter 28: Am I An Angel Because I Fell From Heaven?

And so I died.

The End.

Roll the Credits…

HA, just kidding. This story may be Greek Mythology AND Spider-Man related. But I'm no ordinary Spider-Man. Tragedy won't be my ending.

As Typhon pierced the Trident at me, I caught it with my hands. My hands were numb and I was already losing the strength to keep going. But I couldn't give up.

Percy didn't give up when he went to save mom.

He didn't give up to save his friends.

He didn't give up when he fought monsters and gods.

He didn't give up fighting for his future.

And neither will I.

Little by little, I pushed myself up as I continued holding on to the Trident.

"Who… What are you?!" Typhon said, shocked that I was still standing.

Still fighting.

"I… told you…" I said, panting as I held on the tip of the Trident.

"I may not be a demigod; or a sorcerer or an Einherjar," I took a deep breath and answered. "I'm… your Friendly Neighborhood…"

I guided the Trident to the ground and ran up on it and kick jumped on Typhon's face. As I flew high, I fired two webs, making myself a slingshot aimed above Typhon.

"SPIDER-GIRL!" I yelled as I launched myself towards Typhon, kicking him to the face and slamming him to the ground. The floor collapses and we proceed to fall down towards the next floor. One by one, we broke through floors after floors and we continued to fall until he hit the main floor, but he didn't stop there. He broke through and proceeded to fall further down.

Straight into Manhattan.

I followed suit and used my webs to get closer to Typhon. I needed to remove the Bracers off him and grab the Trident as well. However, he was still conscious and grabbed me.

"You will suffer for your defiance!"

"Wouldn't be the first time!" I replied as I punched him really hard on the face, forcing him to let go of the Trident. I used him to boost myself towards the Trident then used it to summon two water tentacles from it. I aimed them at his arms, proceeding to remove the bracers off him. They slipped off and I grabbed them as well before Typhon could reclaim them.

As we were falling, Typhon tried to grab me but was out of reach.

"MARK MY WORD, MORTAL! NO… SPIDER-GIRL! I WILL DESTROY YOU! I WILL HAVE MY VENGEANCE ON YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS!"

"Good luck!" I yelled as I used the water tentacles to bring me closer to Typhon for one last kick to the chest. And a strong one too.

POW

Typhon flew further down the ground and I was about to use my webs to swing to safety. Only one problem, my hands were tied up with both the Tridents and the Bracers and I was falling too fast for my webs to hit anything.

"Ah… Crapbasket!" I yelled as I fell to my doom.

I had to think of something. I know that the Trident's water tentacles aren't strong nor long enough for me to use it as an alternative to webs. And I don't have enough time to slip on the bracers to free my hand. I could just throw them and fire a web at them towards a building, but I'm still not experienced enough on my webs. I could miss and they'd be falling to the ground. Imagine telling your half-brother's dad who's also the God of the Sea that you broke his iconic Trident because you had the aim of a stormtrooper. It'd be embarrassing and terrifying at the same time. There is one option left. Hopefully he's nearby.

"TEMPEST!" I yelled.

I waited to see if he's nearby, but there was no sign of him and I already passed the top of the Empire State Building.

BOOM

I heard a loud booming noise underneath, most likely Typhon collided with the main street. Even for a mortal god, he was very durable, but there was no way he survived that. Anyways, I closed my eyes and awaited my inevitable demise until I felt a strong breeze and a neighing sound.

WHOOSH

Before I could hit the ground, Tempest arrived just in time and swooped me up. He flew high towards the nearest building's roof. He landed safely as I was on him.

I took a deep breath to calm my heart and replied to Tempest, "A little too close for comfort, buddy."

I sigh and fall down on the ground, relaxed that it is finally over. After several weeks of him terrorizing my friends and Olympus, Typhon has finally been defeated and the Trident has finally been obtained. Suddenly, I heard sirens below and I got up to see the commotion. I look ahead and see police cars; firetrucks and ambulances surrounding the crater. I do recall Annabeth mentioning how the Green Mist would change how the mortals would see this. However, It seems like everyone can see the giant crater. Maybe they see a giant construction site? No, that wouldn't explain the cops and the ambulance. Maybe it's a car crash? That seems more likely.

Oh! I don't think I ever explained to you guys what the Green Mist is, have I? Well, it's basically this giant mist that prevents the mortals from seeing the mythological world. However, a few mortals, like my mom, can see through the mist; but lately, more and more people are starting to see through it. Like Scorpion's men; they were mortals yet they can see Typhon and his monsters; me and the demigods. Wait… you don't think that the locals saw me swinging across the city or even me falling from the sky, right?

Tempest stood beside me and nuzzled me. I unmasked myself and leaned towards Tempest.

"I'm good, Tempest. Thank you, you really saved me there."

I sigh, wondering if things will ever go back to normal. Heh, yeah right… Since when has my life ever been normal?
