Angouleme. Our heroes have successfully carried the Olympic Flame to their next destination, with the Phryges following suit. When they first entered the city center of Angouleme, our crew was stunned by the beauty of that city. It was much comparable to the city of Paris with its similar flair and style, with several buildings at the Old Angouleme city centre.
In the Angouleme Comic Museum, Gaulois had familiar feelings when he thought about his Japanese rabbit friend who visited the Kyoto International Manga Museum along with his friends. They have learnt about the teammates who will be joining them through their journey to Paris, on occasions where they might run into them fancily. After visiting, they exited the museum until they spotted someone familiar, a boy in yellow and blue alomg with his pet Cocker Spaniel.
"Enchante, bonjour!" greeted Gaulois. "It was such a pleasure running into you here, what a coincidence!"
"The name is Boule, and this is my pet dog Bill." replied the boy. His dog barked with joy when he met Dogmatix. "It seems that you guys can communicate with each other so well!"
"Wait, you guys know each other?" asked Miguel.
"Correct! We are from the same team competing in the Laff A Lympics! The Francophonie Frontrunners to be exact!" Spirou replied back.
"That reminds us of our previous friend was from the previous host team who is powerful and respected, by toutatis!" Asterix said.
"Would you like to join our team on the way to Paris? The City of Lights would be a wonderful place for pets like your dog to enjoy! And you can meet your old friends again!"
"Absolutely yes! We are gonna meet up our old friends again in Paris! Just think of all the possibilities we could ever have!" Boule replied while Bill barked with joy.
Through the Cathedral of Saint Pierre, our heroes have discovered the wonders of architecture and its paintings with significance in Catholicism in France. Next up in the Museum of Angouleme, our crew have learnt the wonders of other cultures, like African and Oceanian cultures through artifacts and arts. Since the area of Angouleme is rich in fossils, the dinosaur skeletons have amazed the crew and even scared some of the members in the crew.
Through the little squares, our heroes passed by the Place de Halles and Place Francis Louvel. Most of the street art is found in the little squares, with our heroes admiring the talent the artists have put into while painting them.
"Ah… street art! Isn't it such a wonder?" Candy was admiring the street arts while walking with the crew.
"It does look wonderful, but I think it should be used properly with good intentions in order to avoid vandalism." Etno replied back. They kept walking along woth the crew until Etno noticed an unfamiliar sight: red words written in Chinese glorifying the evil communists, sprayed on a certain wall in red graffiti.
"Oh no!" cried Pepito. "Who would ever do something horrible like that?"
"There's pro-China communist messaging on the walls! Wonder what kind of villain would ever do that?!" Spirou wondered.
"Look! Some leftover graffiti spray cans!" Pepito pointed. The leftover spray cans laid flat on the floor like empty batteries, ready to be recycled.
"Where did those villains head off to?" Asterix then asked. He then noticed Dogmatix doing his work like a detective, pointed in the direction where the villains where headed towards by barking. A map was lying on the floor too, which the title reads 'A Terra Aventura', which could lead to another villain in sight!
"Follow that dog!" Asterix called. The crew went in the directions according to the map. They strolled through the Le Halle Market where they found several complaints from locals about a certain bespectacled villain who ate without paying, and even stole some of their products and wrecked their stalls. The locals pointed out that the villain went on a riverboat through Charente, and our heroes went in that direction.
When they arrived at the Le Nil Paper Museum, they finally found the culprit who turned around and was ready to face them. "Congratulations, losers! Welcome to your judgement day punishment trial!" a voice echoed along with a villain appeared before them, wearing glasses and dressed finely.
"Who are you and what did you do?" Pepito asked the villain.
"The name is Surcrose to be exact. You filthy low-class loserheads have noticed those graffiti I have done on those street walls? I support Xi Jinping and his comrades, and you puny little brats will be wiped out into specks of dust because you are inferior to me!" replied the villain in a snobbish manner.
"We are in our own class, so it will never matter! We would beat the living daylights out of you if we want to!" Etno replied back. The boss battle begins, with our heroes ready to teach Surcrose a lesson.
Boss – Surcrose
An all-out beatdown was ready to engage with our heroes despite them being a bit weaker to Surcrose, with Surcrose using flashy magical attacks to stun our heroes in the process. The Phryges tried to attack, but they were frozen by her stunning attacks. Seeing this, the Marsupilami communicated with Dogmatix and Bill about their strategy to defeat Surcrose and save the day. With several heroes badly hurt and exhausted, the Marsupilami put its strategy to use. When Surcrose was about to finish off the remaining heroes who were left standing, the Marsupilami quickly put a huge vase to block her view. SUrcrose then lost control of her view, leading Bill and Dogmatix to bite her. Surcrose shouted in pain as the Marsupilami tied her up with its long and prehensile tail. Seizing this opportunity, Asterix, Madeline and Spirou quickly found a rope and pinned her down. They tied her up, with her head stuck in the huge vase.
"Beaten by a bunch of low-class peasants?! Impossible! I cannot be defeated!" Surcrose muffled through the vase, with the heroes rebuffing her statements.
"Wrong again, loser! You and your cronies lack the heart, soul and bonds of friendship! You are going back to square one for real!" Madeline snapped back at her. Later, they placed Surcrose inside a crate and sent her to Timbuktu (which was in Mali, Africa). The Marsupilami along with our crew then launched her crate in the sky with a catapult, sending her off to Africa.
With Boule and Bill having joined their team, the heroes finally breathed a sign of relief. They were prepared for their next destination. Up next on their radar is Poitiers, their next destination which they happily went off to with the Olympic Flame still intact.
Meanwhile in the hideout in Paris….
"Those tubby little punks have escaped from my clutches again! How long does this have to take before they reach Paris in a matter of days?!" Belle Bottom growled.
"Relax, mistress." assured Captain Chantal Dubois. "Trust the process until zey succeed in destroying those heroes along with zat filthy feathered fowl. If they fail again, I will take zose matters into my own hands…."
